I like Taz on Impact, and AJ's promo was awsome IMO</p>

did they just drop the whole stroyline with tazz and joe i really didn't understand it tazz is saying he's not alligned with mem but more of an ossisiate right? what does this have to do with joe?

I was thinking the same thing as well, but that is TNA for you it does not have to make sense. I know that I read somewhere that the original storyline for Joe/Tazz was that eventually it was going to be revealed that Joe and Tazz joined the MEM to destroy it from the inside. However, I believe that the storyline is probably gone now.

<p>I really enjoyed impact this week. Taz on commentary was good expect for the team 3d match. It was so hard for taz not to call ray bubba....i get it but it was funny hearing him stumble over that name.</p><p> </p><p>

All in all it was a great show i think. They are making some good steps away from the cartoonish over the top gimmicks. I did not think aj's promo was over the top and it was great that it was the longest angle. The only bad part was the four face women in the back. That just was hard to watch.</p>

It makes him sound less contrived and added to the illusion that TNA's story world is real. Why shouldn't Tazz have trouble adapting to a new ring name for a guy he's known for years upon years as Bubba Ray? It's basic human nature.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="alden" data-cite="alden" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="24270" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>All in all it was a great show i think. Sting and AJ re-establishing the mentor/protege bond could be quite intriguing as could the relationship between Abyss and Mick. Hadn't really considered the similiarities between Abyss and Mankind until they were on screen together. Love the Madison Rayne/Beautiful People split and I'm kinda hoping the Christy/Tara tag team doesn't work out so they can have Christy help Madison pick up the pieces. Having gotten the Brown Paper Bag Treatment as much as she has, Christy can probably relate real well to Rayne right about now. I just wish one of the full time tag teams could pry the belts away from Booker and Big Poppa Plump When You Cook Him. Those tag belts deserve better than being in the hands of amalgamated singles who tag as an afterthought.</p>

No one else have held more tag team titles in WcW than the both them. So i guess the writers think tells give the titles to our 2nd most experienced people in tag matches and have them feud with our most experienced team</p>

That's not a bad safety net approach. But you have Beer Money proving their bona fides as a team. The Motor City Machine Guns who would be quite capable of rubbing the belts in people's faces. A solid Team 3D/British Invasion rivalry that one could rekindle once the MEM drops the belts. You don't really need a safety net right now. There are plenty of good options. In the short term I can live with Booker and BPPWYCH holding the belts. Furthers the whole deal about the MEM trying to capture all the gold at once and hopefully the enormity of that goal collapsing them from within. But the sooner they drop them to a more regular team, the happier I'll ultimately be.</p>

I like the definitive move towards cleaner finishes with the "Refs have been given more power" thing. Also, I suspect the AJ / Sting angle is the beginning of Sting's storyline leading into his retirement at BFG.</p>

The best example would be Joe’s title run that should of happened like 6 months before it did.</p>

Also it was kind of a double swerve. Given Morgan's interview everyone expected Morgan to turn on Angle and then he didn't. Better option was to have Morgan chokeslam/hellevate Angle right through Brother Devon when Devon was on the table. That way he would have his revenge on Angle and they would have won meaning he was in the MEM or maybe not as Angle would have been pissed. Keeps him strong, more intrigue in the stoyline, possible infighting in the MEM towards his status etc etc etc. This way next week will just drag on the inevitable turn.

That Motor-City Machine Guns promo was funny as. I loved the show, but for one thing.... the AJ Styles promo. Not the meaning behind it, not Sting's involvement, but every time AJ talks he sounds like he should be pulling turnips and then go home to cry in front of Desperate Housewives. He sounds like a loser extreme southener who has watched too many soaps. I just can't buy him when he's cutting a promo, it's a whinge fest.

<p>Oh, and the Beautiful People match with Madison and Angelina, it was just too short, and I don't know... you see people survive chokeslams, chair shots, this that and every other thing in this overbooked world of professional wrestling, but it was as sad as going to the middle of the ring hugging and then doing an inside cradle. Don't know, didn't do anything for me but say that Madison is extremely soft.</p><p> </p><p>

That promo by the Beautiful People... Velvet Sky, you are a babe. Mmm mmm mmm <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Funny. He doesn't look a thing like Jesse Metcalfe. Oh well.

He sounds like a loser extreme southener who has watched too many soaps. I just can't buy him when he's cutting a promo, it's a whinge fest.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. But that's the very thing that makes me believe in and want to root for AJ so much more so than I ever will for Jeff Hardy. AJ's had a lot more natural scratching and clawing to do to get where he is. Where Jeff's issues have been largely self-made. And don't think I'm picking on Jeff based on Net rumblings. That's just going by what's been said by both in character.

As a result, AJ may have sounded "like a loser extreme southener who has watched too many soaps" to you. To me, he's presented as having suffered so much away from the ring, he's EARNED the right to crack like he did. AJ's what I want to see in a "rebuilding my life through wrestling" face. Jeff Hardy I don't believe in because he makes the process of rebuilding his career feel too easy. He doesn't sound like he knows hardship like AJ does.

Am I the only one who remembers the big battle to make the X Division Title strictly a light weight belt? Granted when the belt first came out the said "its not about weight limits its about no limits." Then that all changed did I miss them changing it back, because Joe is by far no light weight. Other than him having that title it was a great Impact.

They ended up changing what would happen if the what team lost like 10 times. At one time it was said that they title would have a weight limit for the X-division title. In the end it ended up being team 3D would have a weight limit.</p>
