The show is live, so it's not a matter of her getting away with it, as much as it is that there was nothing production could do about it. Bliss' pacing is a bit off but that should improve with time. Summer and Charlotte had a catfight to "Triple Threat" chants.</p><p> <strong>Mojo vs Dylan</strong> - OK match. Dylan got in a bit of offense and makes a decent heel but he looks out of shape. Either Mojo was gassed real quick or he was over-selling for Dylan. Either way it doesn't work with the Hype gimmick.</p><p> <strong>The Vaudevillians vs Tyler & Dawkins</strong> - Solid match. Brilliant tag team gimmick -- everything from the promos and entrance filmed in old-timey film style, their entertainingly heelish in-ring work, and Regal's fanciful tales about Gotch's circus family and Indian Swarmi training.</p><p> <strong>Kalisto vs Breeze</strong> - Good match. Breeze is an accomplished mat wrestler, which worked well to ground his high-flying opponent. Simple but effective psychology. Kalisto made the most of the offense he got in. I'd like to see him tag with Sin Cara, with Ricardo doing their introductions.</p><p> <strong>Kidd & Zayn vs The Ascension (NXT Tag Team Championship)</strong> - The match was just an excuse to further a feud. Tyson refused to tag Zayn who was being dominated, and the Ascension got the win. It's genius.</p><p> </p><p> Also am I the only one who isn't really caring about Neville during this reign? He's an exciting enough wrestler, but he can't really carry my interest on matches alone. They should've at least had him cut a really quick promo accepting RVD's challenge or something instead of just announcing it. Don't get me wrong, I like Neville and I think he'll be good on the main roster, but I'm just kind of bored by his title reign. It's not his fault he hasnt been given a good angle to run with. Yeah, I'm not really saying it's his fault or anything, I'm just uninterested in his matches because like you said there hasn't really been much buildup for anything. I honestly didn't start watching regularly til Arrival so I didn't really see his title chase and don't know much about it. It's just been really bland so far. His most recent storyline was all about Tyson Kidd - they had Natalya in his corner, they had both of them fighting for belts on the same show, they had her stopping him from using a chair - they did nothing but play up to how much Kidd needed the win and not how much Neville needed to retain. milamber Posted June 23, 2014 Share Posted June 23, 2014 Smackdown Review: MITB Ladder Match segment - Standard boasting from the participants. Reigns and Orton had a short street fight. Rollins vs Kofi - Seth looks like an X-Men cosplayer Solid match but the slow pace didn't help. Ziggler vs BNB - Solid match. Barrett dominated but Ziggler pulled out the win. BNB Bull-Hammered Dolph after the match. Titus vs Rose - 1 minute squash. Titus demanded a rematch and got beat in 10 seconds. With booking like this Rose's entrance is the only interesting thing he's got going for him. Kane vs Ambrose - Solid match. Rollins was on commentary and Ambrose took him out before losing. Rollins delivered the Curb Stomp. Good booking to get the crowd even more behind Ambrose and against Rollins. Swagger vs Big E - Swagger started strong but Big E quickly hit his finisher. This should have been a much better match but they weren't given enough time. Dallas vs Fandango - Layla caught Summer kissing Fandango. She attacked Summer ringside. Layla accidentally kicked Fandango in the head. Silly fun but I'm confused who's heel and who's babyface. Bo faked helping Fandango and hit his finisher to win his 8th match, did his victory lap and told Fandango "There's plenty of fish in the sea" so that was good. Thumbs up for the Bo Section. Reigns, Sheamus & Cena vs Del Rio, Cesaro, Orton & Bray - Good match. There were some nice touches like Reigns getting annoyed at not being tagged in early on. Sheamus & Cesaro stood out. Wade barrett got a nice response when he trashed us :-) John Cena still get a ridiculous pop. And people are all into his matches. Say what you will about the man but he brings the excitement level up every single time he's out there. milamber Posted June 25, 2014 Share Posted June 25, 2014 Raw Review: Jimmy Uso vs Harper / Jey Uso vs Rowan - Annoying entrance theme even though it suits the Wyatts. Matches were average but the whole segment was an effective teaser for MITB. I hope the Wyatts take the Tag Titles and feud with GoldStar. Fox vs Naomi - OK match. Naomi's finisher is good. Alicia doesn't deserve to lose so often. Cameron's heel turn would be amusing if she had a decent vocabulary and could wrestle a decent match. King is a dick, especially for tweeting his obvious perving on Paige with the description "Best seat in the house...mine and hers!" (see gif below). Titus vs Dallas - 9 and Bo! Butter fingers! He got some of the crowd audibly laughing for the first time. MITB Announcement - Hunter trolling. Seth sounding good on the mic. RVD upped his mic game, too. Rollins vs RVD - Good match. RVD's Swinging DDT off the apron was sweet. Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose are so over! Ambrose in the MITB Ladder match after all -- nice fake-out booking. BNB vs Ziggler (IC Championship) - Great match. I would have preferred Ziggler win and BNB take the Title back at Battleground. Hot-shotting is fine if it's for the sake of a good feud. Long title reigns can get too predictable. Vicki vs Steph - Steph was the best part of these segments. The chocolate mud pool was probably Kevin Dunn's idea. Stardust & Goldust - Good backstage segment. Why no match? Swagger vs Kofi - Solid match. Swagger needed a win. Sandow vs Big E - Sandow's characters are getting worse. They better give Rusev and Big E more than 2 minutes at MITB. Cena, Sheamus & Reigns vs Bray, Del Rio, Orton & Cesaro - Good match. Although they changed a few spots (including the finish) I feel it devalues Smackdown repeating the main event. Twist with Kane at the end... except that it's Kane and he shouldn't be main eventing PPVs. The way English and Gotch add unqiue gimmicky touches to their moves is something you don't see enough of in WWE.</p><p> <strong>Woods vs Bull Dempsey</strong> - Woods got a mild reaction. Bull is a big old school brawler. He picked up the win and cut a decent promo.</p><p> <strong>Summer vs Lynch</strong> - The Irish gimmick is a bit on-the-nose but I like her outfit and she's already a crowd favorite. Becky won (much to the amusement of Sasha and Charlotte) but her constant jig dancing and fast-paced nature of this short match made her look sloppy. Her Exploder Suplex finisher looked nice.</p><p> <strong>Big Cass vs Sawyer Fulton</strong> - OK squash match for Big Cass. Leforte and Louis were about to beat down Cas when Enzo made his long-awaited return. S-A-W-F-T!</p><p> <strong>Neville vs RVD</strong> - Good match with Neville going over. Tyler Breeze made an entertaining guest announcer.
