<p>So Sandow, Wade Barrett, Cameron, Alex Riley, Hornswoggle, El Torito, Marella and Zeb Colter have been released so far.</p><p> </p><p>

Sandow was such a missed opportunity. That guy was gold.</p><p> </p><p>

The rest? Meh. Other than Barrett, but we knew that was coming.</p>

A little disappointed about Riley. He looked alright when he split from Miz and then never went anywhere. And then was just starting to show a character down in NXT.

<p>Sandow was a big part of what got me back into wrestling in 2013 after about 5-6 years away. Loved the Intellectual Savior, and he seems like a really good guy - it sucks to see him go.</p><p> </p><p>

I always liked Barrett too, but yeah we all knew that was coming.</p><p> </p><p>

Riley to me is a missed opportunity as well. It's a guy that has the correct look. Has some speaking ability but never was given....well anything to work with outside of jobbing to Kevin Owens and squashing Bull fit on his way out the door.</p><p> </p><p>

Rumor has it Riley might be a problem backstage, sense of entitlement and that he should be treated like a "real" wwe superstar because of his run on the main show like 5 years ago, and not a NXT guy.

Sandow not a surprise either. He and Barrett deserve to much better.</p><p> </p><p>

Cameron thank God she is gone. She doesn't deserve to step into a wrestling ring.</p><p> </p><p>

El Torito was irrelevant since El Matadors got repacked.</p><p> </p><p>

Zeb Colter hurts me. Swagger is prolly next. Zeb and Swagger were great together.</p><p> </p><p>

Hornswoggle... I'll miss the little bastard. WiiLC still the best match on that card. Only 1 wrestler still uses his gimmick from that match. 3 are bkw gone from WWE as a whole.</p><p> </p><p>

Alex Riley was winning me over in NXT the last 2 months. They really lost out on a chance with this kid.</p><p> </p><p>

Santino I hated with a passion. Terrible gimmick and I hated everything about it. Good thing he's gone. His Russian gimmick would have been better.</p>

<p>Barrett, Sandow and Zeb are the only ones I care about. </p><p> </p><p>

Barrett was way too injury prone, or else I think he would've already been a multi time world champ. He got hurt whenever he started to get a push.</p><p>

For some reason, despite Sandow naturally getting over with the crowd despite his (IMO) below average ring skills, WWE didn't seem to want to do anything with him. Don't know why.</p><p>

And Zeb is a fantastic manager, but WWE doesn't seem to use male managers anymore, and rarely even uses female managers, so there wasn't really a place for him on the roster.</p><p>

The rest, meh, don't really care. I loved A-Ry's theme song and I thought he had the look of a star, but he never really improved to the level he needed to be at in the ring or on the mic IMO.</p>

<p>Alex Riley is a surprise. The guy did a decent job imo on NXT, both as a commentator and a competitor.</p><p> </p><p>

Cameron wasn't that bad, but there's just a whole bunch of people waiting in line who are better.</p><p> </p><p>

Damien Sandow is just weird. What's the backstory there? He's getting massive pops even if off-screen for months.</p><p> </p><p>

Santino was never really funny, though he played the gimmick properly. I didn't like him at all.</p>

<p>I'm catching up on the last couple of weeks of NXT. I've never watched any NJPW/Nakamura stuff, but I have to say that I love the mystique and aura they've built for him, and his charisma is through the roof. Whenever he wrestles on the regular show, it almost feels like it's too small for him and he shouldn't even be there. I mean, it's obvious he really shouldn't and obviously possesses the talent to be a big player on the main roster, but even guys like Owens and Samoa Joe fit right into NXT. He just feels like he's something special, more than Itami or Balor do or did either. </p><p> </p><p>

For someone whose first experience with Nakamura has been NXT, I just wanted to comment on how well he's translated over to WWE, as a combination of his own talent and the job that NXT has done building his aura.</p>

When I first got into Nakamura a couple years ago, the only person I could compare his charisma to was Scott Hall. He has an intangible "cool" factor about him that you just can't put into words.

Putting Nakamura and Zayn in the ring at Takeover and letting them call the match on the fly was a stroke a genius. Add a catchy entrance theme letting Nak be himself and you didn't have to have seen him wrestle before to know he's a one-of-a-kind wrestler.

<p>As usual, I'm about 1 week behind normal schedule in watching my weekly wrestling. Finally saw what the fuss was about at Payback's Women's Title match. No idea why they kept re-hashing this stuff. Even disregarding the disrespect to Bret I see no point in bringing this back. It's been milked to death over the past 2 decades, they're not going to get any shock factor or media attention from pulling this stuff, the main people involved in the original incident have both made up, retired and clearly both want to put this behind them. There's absolutely no reason to do this beyond the laziness to write something original. The reaction from the crowd feels more of a "God, not this stupid crap again" rather than "OMG did it just happen again".</p><p> </p><p>

Pity, really. The Women's Title match at WrestleMania was by far the most well-executed match on the entire card, and one month later it became the opposite - the most disappointing one (not counting the unfortunate accident in the opening tag match). Other than this and the opener there wasn't a single match on the PPV that I didn't enjoy.</p>

And Ryder is actually really underrated in the ring, he kills it on Superstars and Main Event the majority of the time he has matches. I know, most people ignore the C-Shows, but he actually does really good work there.</p>

They will always sell merch just as long as you keep them on TV. They will never be World Champs because they don't have all the skills but they will be solid hands to entertain.</p><p> </p><p> Riley on NXT was finally getting some character development when they pulled the plug on him.</p>

Brett didn't want to be involved because he thought Vince's idea was lame. He was only there to support Natalya. But it was his idea to do the Sharpshooters at the end to at least get the crowd to pop. It could have been worse.
