<p>Just listened to Cornette burying Saxton, which seems funny to me given he always indicates he rarely watches the current product. His gimmick of "being made fun of" gets tired quickly. We know he's just there because he's black. It makes sense to have a black commentator at all times. It's been their policy for years, but BookerT and even the coach were entertaining (the latter even had chemistry with the Rock). Saxton is not (...yet). Otunga is better but I don't like him. Playing the educated card seems weird when placed in the footsteps of King.</p><p> </p><p>

All this repetitive booking doesn't really bother me, especially given the quality of the Flair/Banks matchups, and the surprisingly good Miz/Ziggler runs. But for every good one of those, there's a bad one. But then again: what good can they get out of Reigns? I suppose Owens is the best option they have.</p>

Just listened to Cornette burying Saxton, which seems funny to me given he always indicates he rarely watches the current product.

Corny reminds me of the stereotypical IWC fan. "Everything about this show sucks and I never waste my time by watching it. Now let me spend twenty minutes ranting about every little detail of this thing I never watch."

Unrelated note: a buddy asked me if I was interested in going to Money in the Bank next year, so that's happening. I highly doubt it'll be as memorable as the last WWE show I went to (Raw 1000, where Punk clobbered Rock to begin his heel turn), but here's hoping it'll be a good time at least.

And well deserved, SDL has been the better brand for 90% of the split.

Agreed, I'm hoping at the Rumble or right after we see a call up or three for Smackdown's midcard from NXT, and then it will be the superior brand all around.

I still don't get why they didn't give Smackdown the cruiserweights, and put 205 Live on after the show with no cruiserweight division. So stupid.

I assume they'll slowly lessen their influence until it's just 205.</p>

<p>Someone new should win the Rumble. Strowman would be cool but there's no point if he's jobbing to Reigns at Mania or whatever the plan is.</p><p> </p><p>

Reigns vs Taker is a bad idea, especially since they teased Taker being on Smackdown. That just smacks orf Vince's iindecisiveness.</p><p> </p><p>

I doubt Balor even returns for the Rumble. No need to rush him.</p>

The person I want to win: Seth Rollins or Chris Jericho (C'mon, he's been doing this for years now, give him his due)

The person who will probably win: Maybe Taker or John Cena.

Clearly, they're setting up for yet another HISTORY MAKING MOMENT with their Women's division by having Sasha Banks win the Royal Rumble match and using her title shot to challenge Charlotte AGAIN so that the women main event WrestleMania this year for the first time ever. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>If we get Roman vs Taker (just from what I've heard) , and Seth vs Triple H, I think we need to see Dean vs Cena for the WWE Title.</p><p> </p><p>

Cena will win against AJ at RR for his historic run (probably his final run), Dean becomes more of the edgy heel he was in his younger days, and Cena passes the torch to Dean in a physically intense LMS match. Dean then goes on to have a good run with the title and drops it to whoever is most built up (as long as its not Cena or AJ)</p><p> </p><p>

Either Cena/Dean for the WWE Title or AJ/Taker for the WWE Title is how I'd book it. Cena gets his final title run, or Taker gets to retire as high as anyone could ask to be.</p><p> </p><p>

If we get AJ/Taker for the WWE Title, then I'd personally have Roman or Dean go against Cena. Whoever doesn't get Cena can fight Nakamura or Joe for a one off match and win.</p><p> </p><p>

One thing for sure is this WM is going to be the first STACKED WM in a long time. Taker, Brock, Goldberg, Triple H, Cena, Orton, Seth, Dean, Roman, AJ, Bray. That's just the absolute top of the card. Not to mention any special appearances by Rock, Austin, HBK, etc.</p><p> </p><p>

If KO is still champion by then, the Universal Title is going to be buried so badly I'd assume. Jericho's outshined him enough as is.</p>

<p>My reaction to Raw: Rematch Edition</p><p> </p><p>

Although Zayn vs Strowman and The Kevin Owens Show were good. I guess Reigns' rumored mystery opponent for WM could be Goldberg.</p>

Really good promo with AJ and Cena...and then they send out that turd Baron Corbin.

I agree, I'm really liking this "edgier" Cena. This was the best promo I've seen from him in years and Styles plays the Villian so well. He made it very easy for me to actually cheer for Cena, which is also something I haven't done in years.

Agree on the promo's, though i thought Cena kind of lost the thread when he veered into the old standby of "you need this to validate yourself kid, I've been hearing this for years and I always come through!" and I'm like "John, he beat you clean, 1-2-3 and has held the title for a long time now, that doesn't make any sense." still, minor quibble.

I slightly disagree on Corbin. While I agree he is still green, I think ever since his fued with Kalisto, he's been very good (the match with Ziggler was good as well). I would have agreed if he came out and demanded a triple threat, but since he stuck to basically saying "I'm going to win the rumble, deal with it" I was ok with it. fit his character.

I also liked how he waved AJ off from picking the scraps on Cena and just stuck with "maybe he's right, and you are a has been" in John's face on the mat

So many young heels beat Cena down there for the cheap heat, but it wouldn't fit Corbin's character at all. Why would Corbin do Aj's dirty work when he feels he can beat cena any time he wants?

good restraint shown by the smackdown writers not to go with the ol tired "young Heel picks older heels' scraps" angle there.
