<p>I'd rate it below Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania but it was worth watching. The problem was it being so close to Backlash the results were predictable. Bryan and Braun being booked as the biggest stars in the Rumble was great. And the announcers putting over the Titus botch for 10 minutes was fantastic.</p><p> </p><p>

A peice of me feels really bad about that because he has no chance ever of being taken seriously. He just sealed the deal of being a mid carder for life (he showed signs at one point of being more than that but there was that whole Vince thing at Daniel Bryan's retirement speech).</p>

<p>Is anyone else annoyed about how Lesnar won? There was no way for them to paint it that he hit the ground first.</p><p> </p><p>

First they said Brock's feet touched the ground first, then they showed the replay five million times and each time they came up with a new reason Brock won.</p><p> </p><p>

Roman's feet and entire body reached the floor before Lesnar even moved off the cage wall.</p><p> </p><p>

Cool spot, but it made commentary look like idiots when they had to change their story constantly.</p>

Lesnar's trash though. He has been for years. His match with AJ is one of very few good matches he's had in a long time. He doesn't move the ratings needle at all. So not sure why they even put up with him.

It's the flagship show for WWE and what matters is the major title displayed there, regardless the name of the championship. Punk's reign is the longest ever seen on RAW and was promoted as the longest major title reign in WWE in the last 25 years or modern era as they called it. Punk's is the sixth in terms of length in WWE history, the fifth is Pedro Morales' with 1027 days.</p><p> </p><p> Egos matter in the WWE and are a big factors in deciding title reigns, like Randy Orton becoming the youngest major champion in WWE history at Summerslam 2004. Guess who was the previous record holder? Brock Lesnar who left WWE after Wrestlemania XX. Speaking of egos, Triple H has a big grudge with CM Punk so I think it matters to him to see someone else in the record books.</p>

I didn't like him in his first years and even less now as Square, Triangle, Circle, X wrestler.</p>

While the WM match was a finisher fest, I did find the physicality entertaining. Horses for courses.

The greatest RR event wasn't bad, but the commentary team handled the ending of the cage match badly. Just say the official ruled it badly and they can even use that on the TV shows. It looked like they were confused what the actual rules are, which was laughable. I know it's just a minor thing but this breaking of logic just feels off to me.

 

I didn't mind the women not being in the event. You gotta respect their culture. At least there were women watching. I don't remember they were even allowed to watch the sports events so that's already a positive.

 

As for the WM Lesnar match: the match was good, though overbooked. The annoying thing was that the crowd just wasn't into it. I also fell asleep. I thought it was badly booked.

I hate to break it to Braun but he didn't win the GRR. hornswoggle was never eliminated!!! He went through the ropes to the outside then got dropkicked off the apron or whatever. I don't know if he botched it or if it's another thing the announce team messed up, but he never went over the top rope.

Severely botched finish with two guys I really don't even care about. They desperately need to pull that belt off of him and Reigns is definitely not the right guy to do it (he needs to be pulled off TV and refreshed). If they want a Hoss champion then why not Strowman or Somoa Joe? Either guy would be a believable opponent for Brock to lose to.
