I read somewhere that TNA is hoping that the current round of tapings will get them through 2016 and the rebranded company will debut in 2017. It also sounds like all talent and TV contracts will remain in tact and the only thing going to the WWE is the video library going back to 2002. I would love to see WWE Network release the weekly PPVs that TNA did back in 2002 and 2003...there were some great matches back then and you can never get enough Monty Brown.....The POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUNCE!!!!!!

Because TNA has basically been calling themselves Impact for the past few years.

I haven't watch TNA for a couple of years but they are slowly winning me back, I love the Hardys, Decay (even Abyss feels fresh and how much I would give to see Mikey Whiplash come in as a fourth member), Grado, Drew McIntyre, Mike Bennett and Moose. Can honestly say I hope TNA survive and keep putting out the product they are at the minute.

I agree their talent is the best it has been in quite some time. I really hope they can stay alive and give the wrestlers an alternative. They can never be competition for WWE but they are nice competition for NXT, ROH, and the other promotions at this level.

Best they have been in years.

No matter how good you or others may think TNA have been re-branding the company is the #1 thing they need to do. It still carries the stigma of bad years past but most importantly as many have said already with the sale talks it's hard enough to sell wrestling to advertisers let alone a company with a name that invokes the idea of tits and ass.

When I first got into wrestling, I found out about TNA around October 2011. Yeah 2011 was a pretty awful year for them. But I consider it one of their best because I didn't analyze anything. I watched what they put on and 2012 became my favorite year of wrestling, largely due to TNA. To see where they're at now saddens me very very much. I'm of the small group that doesn't like Broken Matt & Brother Nero. I miss the old Jeff. I miss AJ, Angle, Joe, Aries, RVD, Anderson, Storm, Roode, Sting, Bully, Daniels, Kaz, hell even Hogan. That was my golden age in wrestling, and to see the difference in attendance after 4-5 years and how little is left of the TNA I used to be so passionate about just makes me sad. Yeah they're doing great in terms of having actual storylines again, but guys like EC3, Moose, Bennett, Maria, Lashley, Drew, Eli etc seemed to come while all the ones previously listed left, and I can't stand it.

The Broken Saga has saved their careers IMO and will lead to an awesome comeback for the Hardyz. I will agree with you that I miss the names mentioned but hopefully Corgan can lead the current guys well enough so they will stick around and new names will grow with them.

EC3 vs. Eli Drake for the TNA Heavyweight Championship please.

I've watched since they begun the weekly ppvs and haven't stopped since (I had a month break back in 2012 but thats it.) They need to re-brand I mean its helped companies before eg. JCP to WCW

I came of age in a Religious Right, conservative circle and if you said you were watching WWF wrestling, folks wouldn't always have been happy about it. But even the most strident would have shrugged it off as "Oh well. Your house. Your family's rules. Even if they'd never be mine." If TNA had existed in those days and a wrestling fan had mentioned them. hellfire and brimstone would have been called down from the heavens because visions of tits and ass would have blocked out any hope of promoter's wordplay being even listened to.

Now say what you will about Religious Right types and their likelihood of embracing wrestling in the first place. But the point is that's the same kind of thinking most corporate sponsors are likely to engage in. Many would be turned away in disgust by the sexual mental images dancing in their heads. And the ones that wouldn't be repelled by that would likely be dismayed that the mental images were only in their heads and not playing out on their screens.

Regardless of any reputation for failure, there's only so far an association with the TNA acronym could take the company. That letter combo just does not have enough direct connection to wrestling for the unfamiliar to get it. Now granted one could argue that of "RoH" as well. But at least there the R is for Ring and can be tied to wrestling that way. Even with the wordplay demonstrated, nothing in "Total Nonstop Action" would directly suggest "wrestling" to the total newbie. If they truly want to survive past failures and eventually chalk them up as growing pains, they need a name that more directly marks them as a wrestling promotion. Rather than suggesting they might be a burlesque show or an American Gladiators clone as the two forms of "TNA" could. Why give potential broadcasters or sponsors the means to reject you out of hand because they don't understand what you do properly?

I read that not only has Corgan sued Dixie now, but the state of Tennessee is going after Dixie for unpaid taxes and may start seizing property. Also read that they did their last tapings for the year, so unless they are losing their TV deal, or taped months in advance, that doesn't sound good.

Also gave me an odd thought. I doubt this would happen, but it would be interesting to me if the state of TN took over TNA operations and they became state owned like the packers are city owned.
