- Why was Alex Shelley's picture (and *only* Shelley's, that I saw) crossed out on As-n-8s dartboard/wall? At least, I think it was Shelley, I'm not too up on what people look like these days. Also, if he's not an eligible target, why leave him up there? It's not like a black cross is going to deflect the dart or something. ¬_¬

I'm pretty sure that was Magnus' picture, with the cross through it to show they have already taken him out,

I don't think so, because Angle and Sting's pictures didn't have a cross and still had the dart in them to show that.

Might be, though. Will have to pay special attention next week. :p

Edit: I just noticed that I still had last week's Impact recorded on Sky+ and checked it. It is Magnus' picture. My bad! But still, it's odd, because Angle and Sting's pictures aren't crossed out. Maybe they couldn't afford any more darts so had to take Magnus' out. :p

I think Angle is because they haven't taken him out properly yet - not sure about Sting.

Possibility, yeah...

Another thing I just thought of... what's up with EY? He hasn't been back very long, and they've essentially put him back on the shelf already. I'm guessing it's not because creative has nothing for him, because he's one of the most entertaining guys on the roster. Is he off doing other things like Magnus?

I just finished watching the PPV, I enjoyed most of it. Styles/Daniels was a great match and Aries/Bully was also awesome, probably my personal Match Of The Night. The rest of the show was solid but for some reason I just don't rate Jeff Hardy in terms of his ability to deliver great matches. He's a great personality who connects incredibly well with the fans, but none of his matches ever leave me wanting to see more of him wrestling... and the less said of me being able to read his mind/listen to his ventriliquist act, the better. I hate it, it completely snaps me out of the show in a bad way and I hope TNA stop doing the segments, or at least stops them from appearing to be "live" so that it makes some sense.

Looking forward to more Impact soon, should be fun to see where they go in future and I'm still pulling for Storm to get his title shot sometime soon because I'm loving the guy. Also loving Daniels/Kazarian just now, they're a great pairing and Daniels seems to just love what he's doing just now which has finally made me care about him again. :)

Just watched Final Resolution, actually really enjoyed it.

As expected, Styles/Daniels was MOTN by a considerable distance. I was watching it with a non-fan friend of mine and even she was interested in the majority of it, though she found Hardy/Roode to be really boring (I can understand why, but I enjoyed it, as a wrestling fan).

TNA really don't get enough credit for all the things they do right. I mean, sure, 3/8 matches were made the week before the PPV, and a 4th was made on the night, meaning that four days before the show we only knew 50% of the card, but on the other hand all of the important matches were made in advance. I'm in a rather privileged position being in the UK, I don't have to buy PPVs and they're on the same channel as Impact, so this doesn't really affect me, and I think to be honest we've largely left behind the days where you actually bought a PPV on the strength of the card. I'd imagine most people bought every PPV if they were a fan of the company. Even so, I'd like to see them try at least.

Still, as I said, they do a lot of things right. All the matches on the card were very solid, we certainly can't really accuse them of pushing the 'wrong' guys. Having said that, I'm really not a fan of the way they handle the Knockouts. It seems to basically be a revolving door of one Knockout appears from nowhere, challenges the champion, and then repeat. This is fine when it's two entertaining, interesting girls like Tara, ODB and Mickie James. But when it's Tessmacher or Velvet Sky's "turn", the entire division just becomes a fast-forward fest. Because they ARE the entire division. You never see the previous challenger again.

There's definitely a lot to like TNA for, though. And this "everything's going to shit"/losing streak thing AJ is doing right now is the most interesting he's ever been.

Holy crap!

This week's Impact was, I think, the best wrestling show I've watched since Money In The Bank last year. Interesting matches, storylines development, some great promo work and a hot crowd. If there has ever been an advertisement for TNA to give to the world, I'm pimp this show out to everyone and hope that people stay tuned.

I don't really want to spoiler too much by talking about it in case people are coming in here without having seen it, but I was really blown away by how well things came together in this show. My personaly highlight... Bully Ray. Dude has been amazing for a while now, his match with Aries was my favourite from the PPV and he was on fire tonight again. :D

It makes me sad that there aren't more people talking about TNA just now. I remember when the WWE and TNA threads had roughly the same number of posts in them... then over the last year or so TNA has been getting fewer and fewer posts, largely because they've been doing things so much better than they have in the past.

I know we all like to complain about things on the internet, and that's partly why the WWE thread has more posts, but we're also allowed to celebrate things that are awesome. Like this week's Impact, which was a great show from top to bottom. If I could watch a wrestling show of this quality every week, I would be a happy man. I just hope someone else joins in soon because I don't want to go on and on and on and on and on about it on my own. :)

Fine, I'll humor you! :p

I agree with most of what you're saying. TNA is doing a lot of things right, and I've preferred them over WWE for most of the year. I even think they've been superior to ROH a lot of the time, and this is coming from the guy who's been running an ROH diary on this forum for almost four years now.

Bully Ray's segment with Hogan this week was good, but that's nothing new. I hadn't been interested in him for years, but Bully really won me over this year. Probably the 3rd most interesting person in wrestling this year for me, behind only Aries and Kevin Steen. I'm not sure where this storyline with Hulk and Brooke is headed, but I think Bully would be a great choice to win the world title in 2013, either as a face or a heel.

The AJ Styles storyline is interesting to me as well. He's been around TNA for so long that it's hard to do anything fresh with him, but I think they've hit upon something that has the potential to be really good.

Good to see Kenny King get something of substance going. I'd love to see him take the X Division belt off of RVD, but I have my doubts. Either way, it's just good to see him back on the show.

I've assumed for a while that Brisco and Bischoff would be joining A&8's at some point. Does it happen next week, when Devon is wrestling Angle? Or do they hold off for awhile? Or maybe they're going to swerve us and go in a completely different direction? I have mixed thoughts on how the whole A&8's story has played out so far, but it's at least held up better than the Nexus, which I thought fell apart pretty quickly after that awesome first attack.
