Since I first started keeping a booking document for my Generation Supreme diary, I've developed the habit of keeping a lot of info for the TEW games I play. Not just show-to-show booking plans, but also monthly developmental tracking, tested chemistry, long-term plans, and so on. But I always just used Word documents, formatted a bit to work. But after finding a spreadsheet someone did up for EWR, I spent awhile yesterday and set up one up. Wow, way more helpful than the separate Word documents.

Just wondering if anyone uses spreadsheets and how you set them up?

I'm just using a notebook. I could use a good spreadsheet to keep track of everything, something simple. My games last about a year or two, so i don't need much really. I can't imagine running more than that without some good way of keeping track of it all.

Depends on how deep I go. In every game I play I have a roster spread sheet and a chemistry spreadsheet. My general roster sheet depends on whether I'm using a pop or performance based fed.

Name, Push, Disposition, Gimmick, Size, Style, Brawl, Technical, Flying, Psychology, Stamina, Overness (In one region if I'm starting with a small fed, in a whole country for bigger feds), Momentum

For pop based feds where I run angles I add

Entertainment, Microphone, Acting, Menace (For Women's feds I replace this with Sex Appeal), Star Quality

For chemistry I use a basic box format with the names across and down and blackened squares where the same work meets. Then I use a color coding for different types of chemistry and for singles chemistry I'll also keep their last know rating together.

If I get more deep;y into it I'll keep a sheet the gives me grade changes for skills for each of my workers. And if I get the most indepth I'll have one sheet with the original rating (in percentage) of each worker for every skill. Then a second sheet for the current ratings (in percentage) and then a third sheet that gives me the difference. In my 0/0/0 C-Verse game I was happy to see that after three years of working Stretch the Chicken Boy had grown all around over 180% when taking into account all skill changes. And even through he was "5 years past his prime" Murderous Mikey had gained over 90% all around although he had lost a little over 1% in Athleticism, Power and Toughness.

So it depends on who deep I want to go into it.

Usually my basic roster sheet also contains current champions. All tag teams in order of overness split between Face and Heel. Any stables I have and any notes such as when they are beginning to get stable or what not. The game has most of this info but I like to see it all in one place anyway.

<p>Oh yes! I'm a big spreadsheet fan!</p><p> </p><p>

I always have one for chemistry and one for my roster overview.</p><p> </p><p>

In the latter I keep track of who has been used how many times each month to keep everyone happy, who is part of the different storylines, who's character is getting stale, who has been in various news stories etc. Keeping everything easily accessible basically.</p><p> </p><p>

I also have sheets showing how long workers with different stamina can go, and a sheet I made a while back showing the difference between popularity and importance for each region.</p><p> </p><p>

So, yeah - I use them <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>I'm very similar to what Apu said in terms of the chemistry sheet - in fact pretty much identical! I keep another sheet along the same lines which simply lists the month when wrestlers last wrestled one another.</p><p> </p><p>

I keep a roster spreadsheet too, although that's confined to overness, momentum, wage and things like that. And I keep a skills sheet, which I update at the end of each tour to see who has improved through the tour (I'm talking about my XWA diary game here. Don't have time to play any others!).</p><p> </p><p>

My last sheet just has each wrestler on the books listed twice and at the start of the month, when I come up with my tour shows, I just blank out the names as and when I use them to ensure all wrestlers are used evenly.</p><p> </p><p>

My girlfriend doesn't get why I like TEW (given that I don't watch wrestling at all). She gets it even less that I actually find looking at spreadsheets as part of that game even remotely fun! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>There was a topic a LOOOOOONG time ago where someone put up their excel template for their spreadsheet. I'm going to look for it now.</p><p> </p><p>

I don't use spreadsheets much, but I was just thinking how helpful Excel 2010's "new" sparklines feature could be for TEW information tracking. And if what I've read is correct you can do the same thing in previous versions of Excel with add-ons such as something called "Tinygraph"

Oh man, is it way easier to keep track of stuff. Unbelievable. I'm keeping more info that I need, but I can't imagine going back to just using Word documents again. Especially not for a diary game, but even for casual games.</p>

Herse one I use. Its not as detailed as Mr. Caseys that was posted. But it meant to be used for Excel 07.

07 excel spreadsheet

I just use this to keep track of the roster and whos fueding who and not. But Lately i've started using One Note help keep track of things. One notebook for the dynasty, and then tabs set up for certain things. And the clip function is wonderful for something like this. I can just take clips of the match notes and it show up right in the file so i'm not having to retype everything to keep them for when I write up this new diary. And then below that one is one of the ways I'm trying to organize my storylines at the moment. But then again, its different strokes for different folks ey.

more or less just backstage notes. Or if something happens in the game world i find interesting to make note of for my diary. Like if one of my workers wins a title in another promotion. Any backstage problems. That sort of thing.

Oh and I give each month its own page. So along the side, it goes january, february, etc. etc. And then just create a new tab once the year is over.
