strange events/deaths/other events 2010

That's a little wierd

I think someone came across this before. No official word, but we suspect it's either:

- Some people are sad and missing their colleague, but also the locker room is pulling together in the wake of the tragedy, or;

- Some people really liked the deceased, and are depressed by his passing. Some people hated the guy, and are delighted to see him go.

It is a little odd that you don't just get the overall effect, though.

In my FCW TEW08 game, BHOTWG lifer Optimus has become PGHW's head booker. I found that weird.

EDIT

I hate PRP for this. He is my only main event lifer and he says he is nervous getting pushed.

In my real-world mod, KYR April '10, around October or November '10 in-game....

Sabu dies of a drug overdose.

At this point, I don't think him or Raven dying is "strange". If anything, if someone has a game where they've played for twenty years and they're both still alive and happy they should post a screenshot of it.

Whistler and The Stomper, who are 49 and 61, respectively, have both signed with the SWF to become the third Regular Tag Team and won the titles on their debut, their team is called "The Real Main Event" and Their Gimmick is that they are both bitter veterans, some clever booking by the AI There :D

Playing Mr. Canada's Mod, playing as ROH. Had a Necro vs. Jay Briscoe match at Supercard of Honor, and had Necro take a Crazy Bump during the match.

The next day, turned out Necro hurt himself taking the bump. The injury;

Kidney Infection.

I imagine Briscoe jabbed Necro with an infected needle to end the match?

So I decide to start up a "little engine that could" promotion in Ireland, allowing me to work with a new array of characters. A few days in, someone buys majority share in the company ... that someone being Larry "totally awesome, and it's all Nevermore's fault" Wood. Not that unusual, except when he calls me into his office to tell me not to hire any psychopaths.

But Larry's a psychopath ... I'm having a total Finkle is Einhorn moment.

That's still not all THAT weird... just because that's where his own skills lie, doesn't necessarily mean he wants his company to include that style of wrestling. I'm a massive lucha fan, but if I was a wrestler there's no way I could work that style.

Although with Larry Wood, you do get the impression he's probably a bit mental in reality, so yeah, in this instance it is a tad weird. ¬_¬

I thought this was pretty strange coming from NOTBPW who has women's wrestling set to a Division and not Integrated...

Some interesting booking by Steve Flash. And yes, Jeremy Stone is 55 years old and still going VERY strong... apparently.

None of you can beat this one:

Alex Dunvegan ripped the worst fart ever backstage, making everyone leave . . . So Rob Van Dam found an old karaoke machine and Devon Storm brought a ton of beer, and RVD let out some drunken power ballads in front of the whole locker room.

P.S. 10 to 1 RVD was high the whole time.

Oh, and this took place in LONDON.

Yes, those three incidents happened on the same freaking night. I can imagine the backstage atmosphere.

P.S.S. The attendance was 139, meaning my locker room was bigger than the live audience. Oi!

this was absolutely the funniest part :D you should've just told your roster to come out and watch the show with the crowd!

(yes, i know that's not possible :rolleyes:)

Just as a note, about a Global promotion having an attendance of 139:

I'm trying to expand into the UK and Europe where I have only 17 popularity. My weekly WWF International Xplosion is an event that doesn't air on TV or PPV that I use to boost popularity in regions I need to boost. I did it in Mexico and quickly got a TV deal there. This one will be tougher, though, because I'm starting much lower down than I was in Mexico.

Cannot believe this completely out of the blue was one of my long term targets in USPW and he's f'n retired in 2012!!!

Just checked though and he did get a semi-severed spine and was out for 13 months, and TCW stuck by him and paid him and when he recovered he couldn't get back in the ring, first young shock retirement he's had.

And he's not that great of a non-wrestler.

I love it when people retire to backstage roles when they are not that good at any role.

Never even got to be Lobster Warrior. Retired 1 year and 3 months into my game.

Like Edd in your game Chris also suffered a Semi-Severed Spinal Column and retired 2 months later to become a commentator for HGC (He was signed by HGC just a few months before his injury). Recently been released.

At 25 I reckon Edd may actually be able to become pretty good after about 30 years, not that I'll get that far and he has a looooooooooooooooooooong time working in wrestling 40 years left if he retires at 65, I'd hate to think he's stuck as a not-assigned-yet I don't know what he's going to be as he has all non-active roles to never, will this change soon?
