I think Frehley is at the extreme end, so he ALWAYS leaves, and Money might be a bit more mild... but there's a fairly good chance he'll leave every time his contract comes due. Same for Christian Faith and both Bumfholes (or Zimmy, at the very least). All of those guys left SWF in the save that I was talking about further up.</div></blockquote> Awesome, I didn't realise that happened frequently. Will definitely look out for their contracts coming up. Would be nice to replace one of my experienced tag teams with one of theirs.

Bret has been main eventing since his arrival in the WWE and he just had a huge match at Wrestlemania XIX, Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart Vs. Triple H and John Cena which went over extremely well. I'm thinking its time though for the Hitman to retire and let some new talent move up but first I want to give him an awesome sendoff storyline. Should I book him against a new up and comer like Cena or CM Punk so he can leave while elevating a new star or should he walk out after a massive dream match? HBK Vs. Hitman one last time? so many possibilities. I need input.</div></blockquote> I would have him feud with a younger talent first, someone like Punk, have Bret win the feud but give *insert younger persons name here* an endorsement at the end of the feud saying "He gave me one hell of a match, etc." and that he believes its time to step down and let the younger talent step up. Then have HBK come out and say that before Bret goes there is one more match he has to have, a rematch of Survivor Series 97. Of course they square off at some point but how is up to you: -Have the match at that years Survivor Series -Have the feud build slowly towards your next 'Mania -5 vs 5 match at Survivor Series, Team Michaels vs Team Hart where HBK & Hart end up as the last 2 -Anything else you can think of... But it would probably end with the duo shaking hands and burying the hatchet as Hart retires.

This provokes Bret to stick around for his revenge. He loses the 1st one, wins the 2nd one, and in the 3rd match the young guy gets the win but has a new respect for Bret. They shake hands and Bret walks away into the sunlight.

It is 25 years into my game. I brought BCW from local to cult then jumped ship to SWF as a cult. TCW is global and steals everyone I have that I get up to 90% over in the US. NOTBPW #1 TEW #2 SWF #3... USA... hak tu.

Been trying to figure out which formula I need to work with for Genadi's 1987 mod. Finally figured out one that works for me.

The co-main events were both Iron Man matches, and that's the first time I've used 'em in those specifics, which means I should be able to get away bringing both feuds to hopefully June since next month is a tag tourney.

Brian Chambers is a custom user char. I made so he's working out well with room to grow. Glad I got it sorted out and am able to play this mod.

The tag teams will be competing in one region of Japan that I have yet to venture into. The teams are: AIBOU (Ikuto Hidaka & Munenori Sawa) Dupree & Suzuki (Rene & Kenzo) Fleisch & Storm (Jody & Jonny) The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi) Helms & Moore (Gregory & Shannon) The Kings Of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) NOSAWA & MAZADA Smith & Walker (Bison & Keith) Soya & Sanada (Manabu & Seiya) The Briscoes (Jay & Mark) The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) -The Heavyweights are set up to be a lot more competitive. They will be competing in Kanto (their base last tour) & one more area to help my expansion. The roster is: Big Daddy Voodoo (Viscera) Charlie Haas Cyber Kong Daisuke Sekimoto Dave Batista (Yes its that Batista. Not sure how well he will do in my promotion, but worth a punt. Due to me splurging on Talent they will be split up into two blocks to make sure everyone gets a fair chance. Each block will be focussing on two different regions of Japan. It's a good time to be ALW. EDIT: -And I just scored a mad talent trade, as I got Satoshi Kojima on loan from NJPW. Can anyone say Samoa Joe vs Satoshi Kojima? (Although I am cancelling Kojima's CC as I am sure he wouldn't agree to lose to anyone)</div></blockquote> Finally returned to this game after a long hiatus and the fourth tour is looking to be a very successful one. Three weeks in out of the three month tour at the minute. With my Highlights TV show gaining me pop across the whole country I have decided to stick to two regions of Japan (Tohoku for Juniors, Kanto for tags and Heavyweights) as I have no need to venture out for a while. Davey and Roddy are leading the way both in the rankings and in match ratings (again <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />), and with their popularities ever rising they will surely put on the best match in my companies history when they next clash (either at a mid-tour special show, or at the tour finale. Torn on whether to have Davey or Eddie Edwards make the final to face Roddy.) I got my dream match with Samoa Joe vs Satoshi Kojima done, although I am sad it didn't rank higher than 7th in my all time best matches. Kojima won his first two bouts over Finlay and MVP (who came in about a week after the tour started) before falling to Joe (which wouldn't have been possible if I didn't edit out Kojima's CC <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />). Just after Kojima's loan ran out I was able to score another huge trade for my company. Shad Gaspard's previous loan with WWE (traded Shad/Kendrick for Danielson/Mistico) finally ran out after they gave him match 3 I decided to send him straight back for the best person I could get. So now Rey Mysterio will be having three matches with my promotion, altough again I will edit out his CC so I can give Davey and Roddy big wins over him, and then give him a match with Chavo Guerrero at my mid-tour PPV. And I just said it in the last paragraph but it's still its own exciting point, I am now on PPV as well as TV <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. Meaning my Tour Finale shows will be shown across Japan for the first time, and also makes Mid-Tour special shows (one for juniors, one for heavyweight/tag teams) more justifiable. Samoa Joe looks like the real star of the Heavyweights again, but who will challenge him in the final looks up for grabs. Sting or MVP would make great matchups, Doug Williams or Finlay could also put on a great match with Joe, but my heart tells me I need to put a Japanase star over this tour but my options of Mohammed Yone, Takashi Suguira, Daisuke Sekimoto, Shinjiro Otani or Taru don't really excite me. Will probably test out Suguira and Otani against Joe in the group phase to see if either can put on a match worthy of being a final. Although I have made a cheeky offer to Minoru Suzuki in hope he will come in (even though he is likely to be too popular to sign for me). Tag teams are yet to really find their stride, with only the Kings of Wrestling putting on Main Event worthy matches. Made an offer to Shelton Benjamin though, hoping to grab him so I can move Haas away from the Heavyweights and have a new tag team worthy of winning the tour titles. All in all the tour is looking good, with the planned line up for the finals currently: Roderick Strong vs Davey Richards/Eddie Edwards Samoa Joe vs ??? Kings of Wrestling vs The Briscoes/Worlds Greatest Tag Team (You wouldn't be able to tell I am based in Japan from the look of those finals would you? <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Fun fact: Out of the seven tour titles that have been won so far (1x Heavyweight, 3x Jr. Heavyweight, 3x Tag) Only one of these went to Japanes competitors, the Tag title from my first tour which was won by Naruki Doi & Masato Yoshino. This one title is the same as the amount of titles won (in part) by Swiss wrestlers (Claudio Castagnoli, as one half of the Kings of Wrestling, who won a tag title).)

Got a 2002 WWF game going (using one of Genadi's uber-cool mods)

I still ran with Flair presenting Triple H with the new 'Undisputed' title. It happened in the shows closing moment and as Triple H was presented with the belt, he was attacked by the nWo, who I plan to make a dominant force. This will lead to Triple H demanding a match with nWo the following week. This is when Shawn Michaels will return and we get a glimpse of DX vs nWo. However, in the match, Michaels 'turn' on Triple H and join the nWo.

The idea here is to have the fans feel sorry for Triple H and push him as the ultimate babyface who will lead the fight against the nWo.

But, in a HUGE swerve, Triple H will JOIN the nWo. At Backlash, he will face Hogan with the Undisputed title on the line. During the match, the nWo will make their way to ringside and get involved in the match. Triple H & Hogan stand side-by-side, united, and ready to tackle the nWo, but, before the fight can begin, Triple H kicks Hogan in the gut and Pedigrees him. Each member then starts hitting Hogan with their finisher. The Rock & Edge make their way to the ring but the numbers are too much and Hogan takes a hellacious beating. Triple H proclaims that from this day forward, the WWF is under the control of the nWo.

WWF will then go onto form a team of Undertaker, Austin, Rock, Kane, Angle & Edge to try and stop the nWo from taking over, just like they did in WCW. While WWF & nWo feud, both sides try to recruit Ric Flair. During the closing moments of an episode of RAW or SmackDown when the nWo and WWF are brawling in the ring, Flair will come out and say his decision has been made. The fighting stops as Flair walks towards the ring. With all eyes on Flair, the WWF and the nWo don't see GOLDBERG entering through the crowd. He gets in the ring and starts fight the nWo AND the WWF. Then from the back come Chris Jericho & Chris Benoit, followed by Eddie Guerrero and REY MYSTERIO!! Finally, as there is complete carnage in the ring, the lights will go down and when they come back on, STING is in the ring, wielding his black baseball bat!! Sting, Goldberg, Jericho, Benoit & Guerrero eventually clean house and are left standing in the ring. Flair joins them and says: "My choice is WCW!!!"

I'm also toying with an idea where Vince McMahon grows desperate to win the war. He puts aside his differences with Ultimate Warrior & Macho Man who dramatically re-join the WWF. Vince manages to convince Bret Hart to comeback in an effort to save the empire. Finally, Hogan returns from his injuries received at Backlash.

With the WWF now outnumbering the nWo & WCW, Flair & Triple H decide the nWo / WCW war can continue once the WWF is taken out.

Pure. Fantasy. Booking.

Still with the All League Wrestling game mentioned a couple of posts up. A week on from the previous update.

Don't ever say I don't give you good matches Samoa Joe. I signed Shelton Benjamin, which was good news in it's own right as now I have WGTT, but better news is since I went for a PPA deal instead of touring deal I have someone else to trade <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. So I wen't knocking at the doors of NOAH and NJPW (he already has a deal with AJPW <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />) looking who I could get for Shelty, and walked away with Jun Akiyama & Hiroshi Tanahashi from them (respectively).

Two more dream matches right there for you Joe.

Then I wen't to my good friends the WWE, since their taping schedule doesn't clash with my tag show (where Shelton will be situated) I decided to raid them as well (still haven't been able to utilise Mysterio though since Raw and Smackdown tapings clashed with my Junior Heavyweight shows, but one of them has been moved to Wednesdays now so Rey will be seen there). Although I could have had someone more over in Japan, e.g Kane, Morrison, Big Show, RVD..., I wen't for someone else that opens up many dream matches. CM Punk. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Not sure whether Punk will clash with my Juniors or Heavyweights yet, too many dream matches either way. If he wen't to juniors his matches would probably be:

While in the Heavyweight division we would get any of:

CM Punk vs Samoa Joe/Sting/MVP/Akiyama/Tanahashi/Finlay

That is if I didn't run my own three match Punk vs Joe series.

May 2010 of my TCW game and SWF have just stolen Joey Minnesota. To his credit he let me make him an offer but Cornell wouldn't free up the money to let me match SWF's despite us being an International company and £4m in the black.

I had such high hopes for him. Godammit.

I'm puting a positive spin on this though. It's gotten rid of a very negative (albeit talented) influence backstage, freed up a main event spot for someone else and I've recently signed Rich Money who's pretty much a better version of Minnesota anyway.

A couple of monthes ago, I started a new game, with a beginning I like to have : building a new federation, starting in 1995, with updates each years for new wrestlers and promotions.

I picked the NWA, giving a 1 hour weekly TV show with a booking similar to what TNA did around 2005/2006 (my favourite wrestling "era"). I called this show Total Nonstop Action.

6 PPV in the year, all 3 hours long, except the NWA Anniversary Show, 4 hours.

Some booking problems came from WWF, WCW stealing my main eventers (I got a working agreement with ECW to keep some of them), and NJPW and CMLL my X Division wrestlers, but it give me the opportunity to push other wrestlers, and to sign young ones.

During the first monthes, I build a strong heel faction "Raven's Nest", with Raven, Stevie Richards, Perry Saturn, John Kronus, Rhino, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage and Doug Williams.

For the World title, the first feud was between Cactus Jack, Roddy Piper and The Giant, but Piper and The Giant quickly left NWA and joined WCW.

Then the top main eventers with Cactus Jack became Raven and Taz.

A stable "war" took place between Raven's Nest, and the fusion of 2 smallers groups made of Luchadores and Japanese wrestlers (Eddie Guerrero, Hector Garza, Jushin Liger, Koji Kanemoto, Kenta Kobashi...)

During that time, I build Rocky Maivia to the main event with an undefeated streak. He was allied to the Nest without being a member.

Each year, at the December PPV, the World Title match is the "King of the Mountain Match". Rocky Maivia won the first one and became "The Rock".

Then, no chance with the world title storylines. The Rock vs Cactus Jack ended when Cactus Jack Jack joined WWF. Then, The Rock vs Taz ended when Taz got injured. Then, The Rock vs Chris Benoit started well, but The Rock left and joined WWF, 2 weeks after my last PPV.

So I decided to make a "all stars tournament" for my following PPV, signing new wrestlers, crowning as World Champion Owen Hart. Unfortunately, he joined CMLL before the King of the Mountain. I build this match as a "all stars" again, crowning young Kurt Angle, a few monthes after he had his gold medal.

In the beginning of 97, i kept away from the World Title the stables, to book a strong "Lethal Lockdown" in my April PPV, and a feud between Chris Benoit and William Regal, had Kurt Angle included, for the World title.

The Nest won the stable war (the other titles were involved in), so during the summer, a feud between Raven and Kurt Angle began, with Raven becoming World Champion.

In the late 97, Kurt Angle has been joined by Diamond Dallas Page. Together, they founded the "new World order" and had been joined by Chris Benoit and by Adam Copeland & Christian Cage, who left Raven.

This new stables war is just beginning (I'm currently in 1998 February).

February 95 : Impact

The tournament for the first Tag Team Champions took place there, crowining Los Guerreros over the Rock'n'Roll Xpress.

In the main event, Cactus Jack retained the World title over Roddy Piper

April 95 : Victory Road

Rocky Maivia first match, he defeated Chris Candido.

Los Guerreros retained the Tag Team titles over The Eliminators (Saturn & Kronus)

In the tag team division, a classic feud "cocky youth vs legend" started between the Thrillseekers (Chris Jericho & Lance Storm) and the Rock'n'Roll Xpress

Christopher Daniels retained the X Division title over Jerry Lynn

For the World title, a double turn happened. Cactus Jack becoming face, The Giant becoming heel (but shortly after it joined WCW), with Cactus Jack taking back the belt.

Yay for even more talent trades. Taru's p.p.a deal with NOAH finished but now he is heading straight back there in return for Takeshi Morishima.

Ran my Mid Tour PPV's, first up was the Heavyweight and Tag Teams, who drew 6000+ fans in Kanto. The show opened up with The Kings of Wrestling beating London Calling (Doug Williams & Paul Burchill) in a match that at the time became the best match in my companies history (B/83).

The show took a bit of a slump in match ratings for the early to mid show matches (ranging from 54 to 71), but it was to be expcted based on the matches I put out. MVP picked things up again by defeating Finlay in a good match (78). Takeshi Sugiura beat Taru in an average match (64), but then it was on to the main events.

In the co-main event, Jun Akiyama beat Sting in a match that ranked #10 on my top #10 matches after the show, getting a very good rating for me (82), and setting up a future Samoa Joe vs Jun Akiyama match on the tour.

Then in the main event Samoa Joe defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi after a hard hitting 27 minute battle, that overtook the shows opener to become the best match in my companies history, rating out at B+/84. This also meant that Samoa Joe earned a huge win over another top Japanese star, having beaten Satoshi Kojima earlier in the tour. The win also propelled Joe's overness in Kanto to 86, and over the whole of Japan to 72.

The bad news of this is now he is either too over to sign for me or right on the verge of it, and given the fact he has planned wins over Jun Akiyama and Takeshi Morishima to come, I have a feeling Joe won't be back for the next tour, and I will be lucky as hell if he hasn't been picked up by NJPW (who are national), by the time I reach national.

The Heavyweight/Tag show was by far my favourite show I have booked in the game, thanks mainly to getting to book Joe vs Tanahashi on PPV, but it also graded out to be my best show. Then it was on to my Jr. Heavyweights, where even more excitement waited.

Up until the main events this was just a standard card that gave me a chance to put on some fun match-ups that were impossible due to the groupings, or just fun matches that I hadnt had a chance to pull off yet. The fans were treated to matches such as Cima vs Masato Tanaka (79), Tajiri vs El Generico (70), Zack Sabre vs Chavo Guerrero (72), Rocky Romero vs Jimmy Yang (82), Christopher Daniels vs Delirious (73), and several other, less important match-ups.

Then came the main events, I had a lot of internal debate about how to top this show off. With a mix of my own talent, Davey Richards/Roderick Strong/Eddie Edwards, and stars in on trade, Rey Mysterio/Low Ki/Ryo Saito/CM Punk (who I still haven't decided what to do with), I could have put on a number of great matches.

I went for the co-main event of Eddie Edwards vs Ryo Saito, which was a great match which slotted straight into #4 on my top ten matches (Rated 83). Which left me with the main event of perennial rivals Davey Richards & Roderick Strong teaming up again to face the outsiders Rey Mysterio & Low Ki in a tag team match. After 22 minutes the match was won by Davey Richards by pinning Low-Ki. And to my suprise the match outdid Joe vs Tanahashi from a few nights ago, scoring an 86 to jump to the top of my #10 matches.

So after 2 huge nights, I have a new top 2 best shows and 4 new entrants into my top 10 matches, which happen to be the 4 top matches.

I am starting to fall back in love with this save game. Just got to decide how and when to use up Akiyama, Tanahashi, Morishima, Mysterio, Punk & Ki's remaining dates on their loan deals. I am guessing the fans that attend my tour shows will be in for a treat over the coming weeks, before their final matches take place at my tour finale shows.

At the end of 2016, Wrestling Without Borders continues the slow crawl to cult level. We are at C- populairty in the mid-south, D- popularity in the southwest, and have begun alternating the southwest monthly shows with shows in the midwest to expand our footprint a little. The upper end of the card is starting to get a little old, most notably demonstrated by Ultimate Phoenix coming back to the promotion for one last run with the title, but the midcard feels re-invigorated with young talent ready to move up the card once the old standard-bearers can no longer go. I am also hoping that when we finally hit cult we might be able to attract more top flight international talent.

I decided to start a "0/0/0/0" game as of last night within the CVerse. I've always done this with every version of TEW but for some reason I never did it with TEW2010 (too busy with MAW). New England Championship Wrestling was created January 2010 with 0 popularity, 0 prestige, 0 momentum, and $0 moolah. I'm using The Grand Avatar as my user character and I've simulated until January 2011 without running a single show. My product is based heavily on ROH - traditional (heel vs. face) and pure wrestling (based heavily on performance).

I've been able to acquire about $30,000 in a year worth of simulating ($2,500/mo). I'm planning to run our first show in July of 2011 after we've saved quite a substantial amount of money. We're going to instantly lose money which is why I'm simulating so much before running a show. I'll probably have my user character as the referee (with 0 skills) and I'll need to hire a cheap announcer, a cheap road agent, and very cheap talent ($50-100/per show).

Paying for my roster isn't going to kill me. It's renting out buildings that we can't sell-out that's going to kill us. Anybody have any REAL success running a 0/0/0/0 promotion without 'cheating' here and there? I'm really excited to start hiring talent in a few more simulated months. I've used A LOT of the younger talent in the CVerse but I've never had to find the cheapest talent. I'm really excited for that challenge.

I never quite understand doing that with a 0/0/0/0. Part of the challenge is trying to deal with having such a short bankroll, if you're going to skip the first year then you might as well just give yourself more starting cash. I only ever take off the very first month, and that's to take care of all the setting up I need to do to make my promotion viable (hiring workers, getting the roster in order, getting the right staff), which generally takes most of the month anyway.

That said...

You can afford a referee, you should get one, otherwise your ratings will get massacred - even if it's an Alan Grey or a Chad Brent, they're better than nothing. A no-talent referee is going to impair already poor matches.

You don't though, need a roadie at this size. Just use whichever of your workers has passable psychology. A road agent is an unnecessary expense at Local.

Seriously though - whilst this was with a product that is very sponsorship friendly (so I get quite a bit of cash to play with) I had absolutely no trouble using talent at 400 a pop from the very beginning, with minimal penny pinching. With a product that's fairly neutral to sponsors, I still managed to turn a (slender) profit over a year, with penny pinching. You won't die unless you're reckless with money, basically.

As for success with a 0/0/0/0... flick back a couple of pages to my mammoth post (it's at the top, you can't miss it, xD). The abridged version is: yes, it's January 2018 and I'm at Cult, no cheating, making massive profits. I'm about to book the first PPV of the year, have a strong roster and if I'm lucky and can maintain strong show quality, might be able to hit National this year.

Well... unless you consider a moderately talented user character to be cheating (we're talking approximately Takayuki Avatar level here)

I would never start a promotion in real life without any money and run a show. Obviously you would either have investors to start off with some bank or you'd wait while you are building up your finances. Another reason I wanted to go about it this way is so that the game world could advance and grow. I've played so many different promotions in the year 2010 that it isn't fun for me to book through that year. I wanted wrestlers to debut, workers to improve, and see how each promotion is doing. The greatest thing about the CVerse is how everything changes with each new game. I appreciate your input, thanks.

Just completed SummerSlam 2002 in my WWF (2001->) game. It rated a 94, which is currently my highest rated event in the save, beating the 2001 edition of SummerSlam by two points. (!!) The main event saw The Rock (representing the Faces) finally defeating Shawn Michaels (representing the Brotherhood) for the WWF Heavyweight Championship, the Raw main event gold in a 98 rated affair. I really don't know what to do with The Brotherhood Raw from this on forward, especially Shawn Michaels. The semi-main event (SmackDown ME) saw Eddie Guerrero retain his World championship against Rey Misterio Jr. in a match rated 94.

Other matches weren't that important mostly some title defences, building The Brotherhood further and a couple of comebacks in time for the launching of a B-brand called SWiFT. SWiFT will be fully launched in September when the television show will begin and will feature several veterans and youngsters in need of improvement. I'm thinking it as some kind of middle-ground between developmental and A-shows for youngsters and place for the veterans to battle until they retire.

Such a fun save I must say and I was so happy how the whole SummerSlam turned out. Also, I'm slowly starting to outline past WrestleMania 2003.

My 4th tour with ALW is now over. A summary of the events leading to the finals and the finals themselves.

In Block A of the Junior Heavyweights : Rocky Romero and Roderick Strong took the top two slots, both having been undefeated all tour up to this point. On the final 'normal' tour show for their block they squared off for a place in the final, and after a long battle Roderick Strong emerged victorious after a Sick Kick. This meant Roderick had a chance to secure his 3rd tour title when the final took place.

The top 5 in Block A were:

In Block B of the Junior Heavyweights : The American Wolves duo of Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards took the top two slots here, setting up a clash between the two partners for a chance to reach the final. Having already won a tour title before Davey was clear favourite, however was caught by Eddie Edwards' Achilles Lock and had to tap out. This meant there would be no chance of retribution for Davey against Roderick Strong this tour. (Strong's two previous tour wins finishing with Davey a beaten finalist, whereas Davey's win came after Roderick was forced to pull out of the final due to injury).

In the Tag Team Division : The top 4 teams in the tag league competed in semi finals to determine the finalists for the Tag division. The semi finals were The Kings of Wrestling vs. (Manabu) Soya & (Seiya) Sanada and The Briscoe Brothers vs The Worlds Greatest Tag Team.

Despite coming into the tour late The WGTT were just able to sneak into the top 4, and took full advantage of this beating previous champions The Briscoe's to qualify for the finals before the Kings continued there impressive form beating Soya & Sanada.

In the Heavyweight Division - Similar to the Tag division it was the top 4 competitors who competed in semi finals to determine the finalists. The matches were Samoa Joe vs Rhino, a rematch of the previous years final (won by Joe), and M.V.P vs Takashi Suguira.

In the first semi MVP defeated Suguira to secure himself a spot in the final, before Samoa Joe defeated Rhino. (Funnily this means by the time 10 finals have been held, only 2 involved Japanese competitors of which only one was one by the Japanese wrestlers (Naruki Doi & Masato Yoshino winning the first Tag team tour title))

In the break before the finale shows Tajiri suffered a Torn ACL, thankfully he didn't make the finals but it was still dissapointing to know he couldn't perform at my Junior Heavyweight finale show. Because the injury would have ruled him out of my next tour I decide to procede with surgery and reduced the injury from nearly 6 months to under 2. Meaning he would be back just in time for my next tour <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />.

Also in the break, Davey Richards won the 2012 Battle of Los Angeles tournament in PWG. Kind of wished he was in my final after that, would have made an interesting story.

Also Also in the break, Kid Kash signed an exclusive deal with TNA, meaning he wouldn't make it to the Jr. Heavyweight finale show. Thankfully the only other TNA contract I have his Austin Aries, and I have over a year before I have to start worrying about them taking him permanantly. In retaliation for this inconvenience I stole Taz from them (he was on an exclusive PPA).

In unfortunate news, Trish Stratus fell out of a window and died on the day of my first finale show, becoming the second person to die in my game following The Sandman.

The first finale show to take place featured the Heavyweights & Tag teams, and thanks to shows remaining on talent trades I could afford to put on a great show (including probably the best opener I will ever be able to put on).

The whole card:

-Takeshi Morishima drew with Hiroshi Tanahashi (82) after the time limit expired.

-Soya & Sanada defeated AIBOU (Ikuto Hidaka & Munenori Sawa), London Calling (Doug Williams & Paul Burchill) & (Bison) Smith & (Keith) Walker (64)

-Takashi Suguira defeated Rhino (70)

-Finlay defeated Karl Anderson (81..shocked by that grade)

-CM Punk defeated Masato Tanaka (80)

-The Briscoe Brothers defeated The Golden Lovers (73)

-Jun Akiyama defeated Sting (91..again, shocked. New best match ever for my promotion)

-The Worlds Greatest Tag Team defeated The Kings of Wrestling to win the Tag Team Tour Titles (80).

-Samoa Joe defeated MVP to win the Heavyweight tour title for a second time. (79)

At cult I would normally be happy with that show, but the fact that 4 matches on the undercard graded better then my main events is dissapointing (especially the Karl Anderson match which came out of nowhere). And having to say Akiyama (in on a talent trade) vs Sting (aged 53) is my best match ever <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. And this was without chemistry and Sting only having 63 pop in Japan.

After a bit of sulking over the Heavyweight and Tag Team finale I moved onto the Junior Heavyweight finale, feeling pretty sure my undercard and co-main event would again out shine my main event. Especially with what I had planned for the show.

-CIMA defeated El Generico (71)

-Christopher Daniels defeated Austin Aries (81)

-Masato Tanaka defeated Wataru Inoue (64)

-Rocky Romero defeated Ryo Saito (74)

-Davey Richards defeated CM Punk (87)

-Eddie Edwards defeated Roderick Strong to win the Junior Heavyweight tour title (78)

Again a show I would normally be happy with but 3 matches outshone the main event, including the all talent trade Ki vs Mysterio match. I was expecting Davey vs Punk to be the best match on the show, but wasn't expecting there to be 9 points between it and the main event.

In my Real Life 2001 game, my ACW promotion is finally starting to gain momentum and push towards National rather than just maintaining high-ish cult (Main Event of BG James, Big Daddy V, Konnan, Rhino, Ricky Banderas, Shane Douglas, with Curt Hennig, Ted DiBiase, Rey Mysterio, Rob Van Dam just below them, Joey Styles & Dusty Rhodes are on commentary). I bought out ECW a few months ago but WCW is insisting on limping on with no money, momentum, prestige or TV shows.

WWF continues to crank out great ratings, riding on their great Main Event despite their shocking undercard. I'll get to them eventually.

The biggest news, though, is without doubt the PPV debut of John Cena in October '01. Exciting, right? In the third match of No Mercy he... LOST TO FUNAKI. It rated D-. Future Hall Of Famer, for sure.

In my private WWE game (for which I'm writing a diary-ish recap in word regardless) that started in January 2010 I'm in June 2011 meanwhile, with a third brand (ECW) running strong since quite some time now. Here are some highlights...

At Money in the Bank, Kurt Angle and Randy Orton challenged 8 month champion Edge for the World Heavyweight title for a second consecutive time (the first match ended in chaos), this time under no DQ, no countout rules with the stipulation that the one taking the pinfall or submission has to leave Smackdown while the one not being pinned can't challenge for the title as long as the champion has the belt. The result was Randy Orton RKOing Kurt Angle for the pin to become new World champion and Angle's stay on SD was over.

Chris Jericho is now top contender to Randy Orton's title, but at Money in the Bank, CM Punk won SD's briefcase and has already teased a cash in twice. Orton has his work cut out for him indeed...

Later that week on ECW, Kurt Angle appeared in the arena with Dolph Ziggler, Alex Riley and David Otunga (both fresh out of FCW) in tow, forming a stable called 'Gold Standard'. Angle is going to lead the bunch and use his underlings to get a shot at John Morrison's ECW Heavyweight title.

On RAW, John Cena is WWE champion fighting an uphill battle against Stephanie McMahon's group. Cena forced Vince McMahon to retire in a match against Ted Dibiase who was McMahon's chosen one to dethrone Cena. They met in the main event of Wrestlemania with two stips - if Cena loses he's out of a job and if Dibiase loses, McMahon has to retire. Stephanie is ever since hell bent on getting the title off of Cena, and Shawn Michaels has sided with the marine - which made Stephanie elevate AJ Styles to top contendership, hoping that he might be the one to take the belt off Cena.

Two PPVs later, Cena is still the champion, defeating Styles twice - just in time for Triple H to return from injury (vacation) and side with Stephanie. Hunter made some disparaging comments over Styles' losses to Cena which down the line will turn AJ face, while HBK no longer wants to only be helping Cena - Michaels wants a shot at the title and thanks to Triple H's heel turn, has broken all ties with Hunter (kayfabe ftw).

So these are the three main storylines for the three main event titles. These are my current champions:

WWF 2001 (September)

3 weeks away from RAW's Unforgiven, the first Brand Specific PPV is taking shape. Its taken quite a lot longer than i would have liked but this the almost certain card (with brief backstory)

Angle is into his fourth month as champ and his matches have been getting better with each defence. Ric Flair/HHH have had an uneasy alliance of late which has seen The Nature Boy battling with his conscience and showing signs of a face turn even before he lost to The Rock at SummerSlam. The turn was complete after a furious HHH attacked Flair for not forfeiting his place in the upcoming title match. Im planning to hold off HHH v Flair for WM so expect HHH to take him out of the picture soon. Hardy qualified with victory over veteran Booker T and his popularity is rising, but due to his young age, this is likely to be just a taste of the main event before returning to the UMC.

Stone Cold v Kane

When Vince McmAHON (raw gm) spoke to Kane on the very first RAW after the brand split, he told him, he wanted to see the "Old Kane, The Big Red Machine". This sparked Kane into action (and a heel turn) and led to him brutally attacking Austin before their Title Qualifier, ruling both men out. A traditional blood feud to elevate Kane and hopefully give Austin a big win to raise morale.

Goldberg v DDP

Hopefully (contract pending) this will be Goldbeg's debut in WWF, responding to DDP's open challenge. DDP had a good summer with The Rock (scoring a perfect 100 at KOTR) and a decent feud with Taker, so his popularity is sky high which should give Goldberg the perfect start.

IC Title - Edge v Eddie v Chavo

Originally meant to be Edge/Eddie feud, but Chavo is too good not to use he gives this match another dimension and helps strengthen the IC title scene until a couple of ME's drift back. Can Eddie & Chavo co-exist to dethrone Edge or will their selfish greed be their undoing and the Canadian will retain?

Dudleyz v Helms/Kidman

The Dudleyz fresh from a Summerslam victory over the Hardyz in a unification bout find themselves in unstoppable form in a rebuilding division or so it seems...a wildcard tag team tournament sees Helms (face turn) and Kidman in line for a shot at unlikely gold.

Mr. Steven Richards v Goldust

The rejuvenated Richards has brought his newfound wealth to WWF, along with his problem solvers (O'Haire & Palumbo), his lackey (Kendrick) and his new found love (Terri) he begins embarking on climbing the WWF ladder by any means necessary. Goldust's refusal to take the new Richards or his cronies seriously makes this an interesting first feud for the rich ex-jobber

A respect feud which sees a contrast of styles. Not a feud that will be decided on the mic but should lead to some exciting matches which should lay the foundation for a strong Lightweight Division

Curt Hennig v Booker T

Two of the best veterans on the roster cross paths not for the first time and both are very near to be given a run at the main event due to their consistent performances. This match may have to be altered if Goldberg doesnt sign in time and Hennig could yet find himself in the title match making it a 5-way. Like i say though depends on Goldberg.

WWF Womens Title - Chyna v Taylor Brooks v Lita

A triple threat match for the newly formed title (Diva's champ, Trish is on SD) sees the outstanding women of the division go head to head to crown the inaugural champ. It will be interesting to see how three different styles mesh. Hoping these ladies can hold the division together while i build the others up (aiming for about 8 or 9 competitive female workers for a strong division)

So there it is, like i say it's taken seemingly an eternity to first do the brand split in a way i'm happy with and then almost as long to get storylines going. Hoping to flesh out the midcard, tag and womens division out over the next few months, but my Main and Lower workers are aplenty. Anyway, having a real good blast with this, hopefully i can keep the enthusiasm

I'm now in 2024 and left Pro Wrestling BLITZ in 2023 after taking them from 0-0-0-0 in America to National. I have opened Golden Combat Grappling at 0-0-0-0 (mainly because I like the C-verse logo and wanted a Japanese promotion). After a year I have risen to small, putting on shows mainly consisting of regenerated wrestlers.

My titles are as follows:

GCG World Heavyweight: Kenshin Lyger defeated Koji Bairei at Firefest II for the belt.

GCG World Juniorweight: Hayabusa Jr. won tournament at Firefest II for the belt.

GCG World Tag Team: PRIDE 23 (Shinsuke Ishibashi & Mito Kojima)

I have started to push Ishibashi as a singles wrestler a little more so PRIDE 23 are likely to lose the titles soon and the tag team split.
