Self
<p>My theory is they were voting <em>against</em> his competition. Politicians have let rural areas down time and time again, focusing on city-issues. Hilary Clinton isn't just a lifelong politician, but as first lady was part of a presidency that let them down. </p><p> </p><p> Side note, I find it amazing the calls for Michelle Obama to run for presidency in the future. If you want Kings & Queens America, you could have stuck with us. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Distortion of news is also a big factor. Democratic sources (90% of the city-based media industry) report stories of Trump's ridiculous behavior and special selected dumb supporters. Republican sources report stories of Hilary's ridiculous behavior and out-of-touch millennial supporters. Neither side has the full story, and with so much choice of news, it's easy to get into a bubble. As someone who got all of his American political news from John Oliver, the election results certainly surprised me.</p>
Warhawk8492
SJWs piss me off to no end. As do Bernie Bots. The fact that Bolshevik scumbag came as close to being a Candidate for a major political party as he did makes me sick. That is why I am a Republican. Its mostly my social views that dictate my voting. Also my support of the Second Amendment.

eayragt
So they were voting on a hope? Voting because a guy who has cared about nothing but making money, would actually help the lower class? ..... Yes. That's exactly it. Lots of people wanted something different. Trump said he would be different. The Democrats made a big thing of how Trump was different. Trump is different. So people voted for Trump. Will he deliver? Like many world leaders before, not on a lot of his promises. But the time to judge is not now.

But the time to judge is not now. The problem is...the people he's putting in his cabinet speak a lot to the hell we are in for. For instance the idiot who claims Medicare is draining, yet the facts don't support it. The facts say it's sustainable at 100 percent till 2036 then at 75 percent till 2090 or something like that. So where does that leave the people who rely on Medicare? Then you have the tax stuff. He wants to "lower" taxes but remove things like the child tax credit. So single parents or low income families will lose hundreds of dollars that they would normally get. These are things to worry about. Then you have the fact he bribed Carrier to keep jobs in the US by giving the, a 7 million dollar tax break, which they have said they are using that money to upgrade an automate their factory. You know what that means? Those 600 jobs they didn't send over seas will be done by robots. Loopholes. Why? Because Trump has the brain comoacity of a five year old. K-Nection
When my health insurance is getting taken away..... When we are going to spend money on a racist wall instead of providing college education for kids who want it.... When we have a secretary of education that wants to privatise and christianise all public schools..... When our president (the delicate snowflake he is) is provoked by the last thing he watches on Fox News..... When he is going to be spending federal money to investigate a "problem" with voter fraud a problem that he is making up just to tighten up rules...... America it has been a great relationship but I think we need to see other people.
