This, pretty much. My girlfriend frequently laments the fact that she will always be my second love. :p

Yep, familiar with that feeling. My one time girlfriend let me know that Fillion was her "free pass" as it were. And I've seen me in the mirror, pretty sure if Fillion wanted, he could've stolen her right away from me. Darn good looking men with talent! lol

Well I finished Firefly and then watched Serenity. Serenity was good, but not as good as the series. I dunno, kinda felt like something was off. I was a little bummed about Book and Wash. I liked their characters a lot and I'm a little irritated to not know what Book's past was...

I'm now on Season 3 of Burn Notice. Bruce Campbell can do no wrong.

I've seen Bubba Ho Tep, I second that Bruce Campbell can do no wrong. The man is amazing!

I came across the show Solitary. I must say I'm about half way done season 1 and this show is weird as hell, but I can't turn it off.

I never saw seasons one or two (Well I saw the first episode of season two but then they stopped showing it ON Demand) but I saw seasons three and four and yes that show was great. Such a cool concept.

I love An Idiot Abroad Season 2, Karl is perhaps one of my favorite people on televison. Every situation they put him in is just comedic gold.

Sundays suck for me TV wise because there is just too much to watch. The Amazing Race, Celebrity Apprentice, Luck, The Simpsons, East Bound and Down, The Walking Dead, and Comic Book Men. So much stuff to watch I think my head is going to spin.

Then HBO has to start showing Life's Too Short which is a very funny show with Warwick Davis of Star Wars fame.

I am not sure when I will find the time to watch all of this but I will force myself to do so.:o

East Bound and Down is back? I love that show, gonna have to start playing catch-up I guess. Love The Simpsons, The Walking Dead, and Comic Book Men as well.

Good stuff.

Yeah it came back last night. The only reason why I picked up on it was because I watched Luck.

To be honest I thought it was coming back in March.

Ha! I love that film. I rented that with the girlfriend - we looked at the cover, saw 'Bruce Campbell', 'Elvis Impersonator' and 'Redneck Mummy', and figured it would be a schlock B-movie that'd be full of gore and cheap laughs, so you can imagine our surprise when it actually turned out to be pretty understated and oddly poignant. I remember talking about it afterwards and saying to a friend that "it was actually pretty good - not so-bad-its-good, but actually, really quite well made."

Also, Burn Notice is frakking awesome.

I've recently got into Archer in a big way. It's been a while since an animated show has consistently made me laugh out loud like Archer has. Family Guy has really got stale in the past couple of years, and American Dad (despite being better) is headed the same way. South Park has actually increased in quality in the past couple of years after a long dip, but Archer was entirely new to me and I was very pleasantly surprised.

 • 3 weeks later...

I would like to preface this with saying I have never read the Walking Dead comics.

I was shocked when they killed off Shane last night. I knew it was coming but I did not think it would happen this soon. Especially seeing how they killed Dale off in a shocking manner last week. I love this show, because they are not afraid to kill off major charcters. Which is something we do not see here in the United States.

I am not sure why that is the case, maybe because it is felt that we grow attached to characters and if they kill them off there will be an uproar. It is done all of the time on shows from England. Heck on Being Human they killed off the entire main cast with the exception of Annie.

I'm almost through season 2 of Arrested Development. So funny. Jason Bateman is perfect as Michael Cera's dad.

I know that's not the point of the show, but their chemistry is nuts.

At one time they were planning on making a movie out of it. I am not sure if that is still the case or not. I agree with you it was one of the best shows I have ever watched, I wished it would have had a larger audience when it was on.

I just read that Netflix worked out a deal to get new episodes exclusively streaming through Netflix in early 2013.

I have a feeling we're gonna see a few more of The Walking Dead's cast members out looking for work at the end of the season. NO WAY the whole group's gonna make it through that, (next week's episode), in one piece.

:(

Can't wait to see it though!

I agree I have a feeling that T-Dog and Hersal arent gunna make it lol.

Netflix has a deal to show 6 (or 8; can't remember which) new episodes that will update what the Bluths are up to now and then the long awaited AD movie will follow that.

Well, if no one else is gonna say it, then I'll just go right on ahead and say it:

I loved last night's season finale of The Walking Dead!

Especially the big reveal of a ... certain mysterious, hooded stranger some of us have been waiting for for quite a while. Good to finally get to see her on screen.

In other news, although I've often posted against reality TV, I must admit that I do very much enjoy The Voice, and Who Do You Think You Are? Both of those two are becoming some of my favorite television.

Oh, and I HAVE to watch me a good documentary every once in a while. Like Tracy Morgan's character in Cop Out said, I have to feed this:

*points at head*

I really get to jonesin' (sp?) for a good documentary if I haven't seen one in a while.

Looking forward for the next season of TWD and for the new characters. The prison parts are one of my favorites from the comic. I also loves Katanas and hopefully it will dekapitate a bunch of zombies.

I love history, (and most especially alternate history), and watch documentaries on The History Channel, NatGeo, and all my other Science networks as often as I can. I've seen a couple of HBO documentaries as well, most recently one about the Brooklyn Dodgers that I thought was very good. I'll look into the one you mentioned there, sounds interesting.

Perhaps I should amend my opinions on reality TV shows a bit; I like shows like Who Do You Think You Are? and things like that, but for some reason, I've just never gotten into the competition shows like Survivor or whatnot.

Emphasis on the word sadly :p

Shows like "who do you think you are" to me are closer to like ... a documentary than what is thought of as reality TV, which is usually preplanned idiocy with untalented non-actors.

Well the thing is, we are wrestling fans so it is sort of a people who live in glass houses should not throw stones type of deal.:D

A lot of times reality shows cast wannabe actors. These people hope they can find fame but it hardly ever works out for them at least in the States. It seems like over in the U.K. their reality show stars become legit stars.

@dvdWarrior: The name of the movie I was talking about is Triangle Remembering the Fire. Like I said it was a great but very sad movie seeing how all of those people died for nothing.

I also saw the Brooklyn Dodgers doc and I loved it. Then again I would watch anything that has to deal with baseball and enjoy it so I am not the best person to ask for an opinion on that.

Are you comparing wrestling to reality TV??

Come on man, let's be honest. Remember when Snookie had her WWE run and how she looked like a drunk moron compared to the wrestlers? People who regularly get hit in the head and die 50 years too young due to substance abuse problems?

Sure wrestling isn't high brow entertainment, but reality TV actively lowers the bar on all human existance and expression.

Talk about lowering the bar on all of human existence, I think that Vince is the master of that.

I honestly don't think anything positive comes out of it. At least wrestling once in a while you get a feelgood moment, reality TV just has such a seedy, ugly vibe to it that even the less repulsive shows are more about people being a-holes to each other than anything else.

I understand everyone has their opinions and their taste, but understanding it doesn't mean I have to respect it.
