There is a stream I watched of him at the Authors@Google channel. He said that he wouldn't change anything about the books, that it was the HBO guys who changed the ages...I'm not sure about him changing stuff if he could...

I"ll find the stream if you'd like. :)

I think I saw that, actually, so no need. I guess I should have said that it's something he regrets in retrospect.

There was supposed to be a five-year timeline gap after A Storm of Swords, in large part to allow the kids (and the dragons) to age and grow. That plan got scrapped, so the kids are now going to be younger than originally planned for the conclusion of the series.

I can't wait for the remaining books to hit. I like how the show is going as well. I was shocked to hear he writes one episode a season for them too. I thought that was kinda cool.

I just hope the remaining books do hit. At the pace he's gone for the last couple, he may never finish. :(

Yep, I like that he gets to write one episode per season (though I'm glad it's not any more than that; he doesn't need any additional distractions :D) Most authors probably wouldn't in his position, but he used to be a TV writer, so he understands the process. The episode he wrote for season 2 ("Blackwater") is my favorite in the series so far.

That was mine as well.

I like that it was addressed about some of the changes. I was concerned about the changes they made, but after they talked about the Television budget I understood why some things were cut out.

I know that he is going to try to get them out so he doesn't keep up the show.

I'm so excited for this!

Sadly when it comes to Big Brother, Survivor, TAR, and the Apprentice I do know what I am talking about. I also have no life so that tends to help.:D

I'm guessing you'll be watching Big Brother 14 tonight. I'm pretty excited about the returning house guests. After you watch it let me know who your early favourite to win is. I think it's going to be a guy this year but it's hard to say this early.

I went in to see what was going on, on Big Brother and all I saw was a black screen. I rewound the tape and CBS went black right after the players entered the house. The odd thing about it was all of my local stations were out (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, PBS, and CW.) but none of my cable stations were out.

I did get to see the very end of the show and the very start of it but none of the middle. So I am just going to have to wait to give an opinion on them.

I hate TV in the summer. All we right now is Breaking Bad.

Can't wait for this Fall. Dexter/Sons of Anarchy/Walking Dead... mix in some HIMYM, and it's going to make for a pleasant tv season.

I wish I had Showtime so I could see the new season of Dexter. Especially now that Yvonne Strahovski is going to be on it.

Really looking forward to the third season of the Walking Dead. The trailer looks interesting.

I know you said you are a big Sci Fi fan, so do you watch Falling Skies? Such a great show it seems to be getting better each week.

I not only watch Falling Skies, but I also watch 2nd Watch every week on the TNT website. Skies is one of my favorite shows right now.

Got series one of Misfits on DVD, really lost its way in the second series. However it had got a lot better in series 3 with Joseph Gilgun, was an excellent addition.

Hmm... I actually felt just the opposite.

I really liked the first 2 seasons, and thought Nathan was one of the most entertaining characters.

To me, Rudy seemed like he was trying to hard to be another Nathan, and I thought that the third series was the worst of the bunch so far.

Either way, still a really entertaining show, I'll keep on watching it.

i like Nathan the best too. I see a British version of myself in him. I couldn't figure out wth pick&mix was though, and when i searched it it was pot seeds i was like wowww. then the episode where hes arrested popped up and i laughed my butt off

Heh. Pick 'n' Mix is a method of selling confectionery, where you take a paper bag and fill it with a variety of small candies which you scoop out of tubs. They are then weighed on scales and priced by the shopkeeper according to the weight.

The term has since been adapted to anything else where you use the same system, which lately has included cannabis seeds. Which is why that particular joke is so funny. The more delinquent viewers immediately assumed it was cannabis seeds he was arrested for stealing, when in fact it was just confectionary, with a 'street value' of about £2.

Sons of Anarchy is back....wow, what an episode.

Loving where they're taking some of the regular characters - can't wait to see how it pans out.

What stood out though was, for me, one of the most harrowing scene's I've ever seen in a TV show. If you've seen it, you know exactly what I'm taking about...if you've not - go see it!

Well if you are talking about what happened to Tig, I thought scene was great from a story standpoint but his reaction was just poor. I am not sure why, but his crying sounded fake (Which it was because he was acting.) and his acting just didn't seem to convey the anguish he should feel having something like that happen to him.
