Anybody on EA UFC 3 yet? I preordered so I got it yesterday. Still getting the hang of it, but I enjoy it. I HATE the clinch game. Not sure why they add cool modes like the all stand up and all grappling if we can't play it online <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>I played the trial for 10 hours but it's done now. The game will unlock in two days I reckon.</p><p> </p><p>

I had fun with it and as I said the core of the game is good. I was so hyped for career and the whole thing is so damn scripted that I doubt I'll be playing it more than twice. You even have to win certain featured fights or you're done (I went 8-2 in the UFC but got fired... permanently, yet they signed me at a meager 3-2 record). During the trial it was also near-impossible to escape AI submissions so that's kind of what happened. Luckily they fixed it somewhat.</p>

<p>UFC3 was never really on my radar and after watching a couple of gameplay videos, I doubt i'll ever play it.</p><p> </p><p>

The career mode looks dull as anything.. Pick a gym, select a training for a tiny stat increase to flash on the screen. Rinse & repeat until fight day.</p><p> </p><p>

It doesn't feel like there's a lot of substance outside the fights, and the game world feels static except the division you're in.</p><p> </p><p>

I'd have loved to have seen something like The Journey/Longshot for UFC, and with The Ultimate Fighter model, this could have been amazing to play.. but no.</p><p> </p><p>

Also.. are they not even attempting to effort with the menus???</p><p> </p><p>

Got my first win on PUBG last night (XBox One) and it was supremely satisfying. The last few circles are so incredibly tense.

Fortnite BR and PUBG have made me giddy playing online games again. Not been this invested and excited about playing games since days of MW2.

Between Fortnite BR, PUBG and Rocket League, these are the only games I seem to play at the moment.

A guy at work talked me into playing Fortnite and now its a regular gaming session.. Not won yet but been 3rd.

That game did get me interested in PUBG (XB1 version). That game is tense as hell (although feeling FAR less polished)

Fortnite is definitely one of the best online games I've played. Just wish the little bugs would be ironed out a bit quicker than they are. Anyone that has it on PS4 feel free to add me (Steve d 0391) and I'll play a few games currently at 14 wins on solo and a big fat 0 on squads as no one plays that I know.

<p>Been taking my time making it through Persona 5. No time for other games at the minute. It's part I don't want this game to end and just not enough time in the world. </p><p> </p><p>

Finally reached the point you start the game at. In the casino, palace 6. Enjoyed this palace a lot more than the previous. Boss lady was a bit too easy but it made sense because of what was to follow.</p><p> </p><p>

I knew that guy was bad news from the moment I first laid eyes on him. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/mad.png.69834f23b9a8bf290d98375f56f1c794.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> The whole revelation about how my wonderful team got me out of there. Superb Bret Hart-esque storytelling. I was in awe. haha</p>

I did appreciate that they removed the more annoying mini games from the single player career mode, however it is still a mostly linear experience with not many changes from last year. Overall I'm satisfied for what I expected but it won't be long before it starts to gather dust. It's weird that last year my brain couldn't connect the dots with the submission mini-game and this year it's like second nature. I'm pretty sure it's still the same so I have no idea why my brain is suddenly processing it better.</p>

I'm satisfied with the improvements made, but career is still lackluster. Once you've seen the "movies" the replayability is very low. I find myself playing UT mode though, and the difficulty compared to last year makes it intriguing as I lose several times against other player's AI fighters. And I just like opening boosters, even though the contents are irrelevant. The prediction game for UFC events is also fun. I got 3/5 perfects. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

I got a mega drive, a PS1 and a PS2 that still work fine. They don't do these things as they used to. Newer generations might be awesome and all, but are week as hell.

Got you beat there, I still have a working Atari 2600. Or I should say it was working the last time I tried it. I mean it was not working well but it was still usable.

I know there were some fans of Life is Strange. Did anyone play the prequel?

I found it to be enjoyable. Maybe not as enjoyable as the first game but they were two very different games even if they were similar in some aspects.

<p>Finished off Persona 5. Wow. ***** performance. Loved it. </p><p> </p><p>

I didn't want to read any of those I wish I knew such and such videos before I started playing. Scared of being spoiled. So now I can watch those videos and feels like I missed out on a lot. Simple things like putting the right persona mask on when you meet your confidant. etc etc. </p><p> </p><p>

Looks like I'll have to go through it again.</p>

Anybody else been playing Shiny since it came out or am I the only one among us? I got it from Amazon last week and I have to say I'm kind of disappointed I did. I'm finding the game to be a mixed bag.

Mechanically the game is really good. For those who don't know the game, Shiny is a side scrolling platformer where you control this roly-poly little maintainence bot who heads out in this highly industrial planetscape to find his fellow robots and repair them. There also something about a spaceship you're trying to fix up and I think all these robots are supposed to man the ship when everything's working right. The whys and wherefores are really muddy in this game. However the game play is crisp, movements are fluid and rarely are you left wondering what you're meant to do when. Commands are neatly separated and never are you asked to perform too complex a chain of actions to get something done. Square will open doors and power up checkpoints. Triangle lets you use your backup battery. L2 or R2 will activate shields. It's all very straightforward. To the point you could use Shiny to help someone learn modern gaming who had left themselves exiled in the 8 or 16 bit era. Really can't complain about the engine at all.

The problem with the game and it is a killer is the complete and utter lack of personality. Your little maintainence robot is certainly no Clank. The game is industrial in the extreme and it treats factors like having a coherent backstory or giving the robots personalities you can care about as frills that are totally anathema to its intended goals. Which makes the game's title shamefully ironic. Part of the reason I bought Shiny is because the character and background designs felt like someone had blended Star Wars and Wall-E. But there is no Wall-E or R2-D2 or Twiki here. It's all heartless, colorless industrial mechanism. And that just wastes the game's potential. Had the robots had character and the backstory been fuller bodied, this could have been one of THE games of 2018. An underground hit with huge franchise potential. Instead most of those who do buy it will likely trade it in to Gamestop. Then when the next gen comes, Shiny will be just another forgettable title that once existed for the PS4. I know that's what it's probably going to be for me.

<p>Vr experience</p><p> </p><p>

I know vr is a new thing at the moment but just wondering how people find it. Must admit I was thrilled the first time I put on those goggles then the novelty wore off when I realised most games were very short. Hows it gonna go?Will it take off? Will game developers make an effort but most important whats the best vr game u played. For me its rigs or headmaster it will be interesting 2 see other peoples opinions but it seems a bit underused at the mo & i wonder if it end up an idea that will be dead in the water before it can surface</p>
