<p>Just finished Deus ex : Human Revolution for the sixth time <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

This time, i was in a Stealth mode, only killed 2-3 peoples in the game, apart from the Malik Crash in Hengsha.</p><p> </p><p>

Barett was killed by his own explosives, Yelena by my Typhoon, and Namir by the famous glitch. I chose the sarif ending.</p><p>

Strangely, i was able to overpower Adam, at the point that i was missing only 2-3 skills to have the max <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> . And I think that i've not explored too much the laboratory of TYM, It reminds me a lot of Versalife in the first Deus Ex</p><p> </p><p>

The Missing link is good ? I'm tempted to buy it</p>

Anyone here playing the Evolve beta? I'm liking it a lot. 4 hunters (assault, support, medic and trapper) vs. 1 monster.

It seems to have a great lobby system (you arrange your classes in order of preference and it tries to put you into a match which requires your class). If it can't find any at all then it'll search for your 2nd favourite, etc. Obviously if monster is your preferred class you don't get to play it every game, but the hunter classes are all good fun too, so it's not a big deal. I actually prefer playing the hunters.

Seems fairly balanced from what little I've played. The monster will usually beat a badly organised team of newbies relatively easily (unless the monster is also a complete n00b of course), but once you get a few guys who know what they're doing the matches are often pretty close and intense.

Progression also seems fairly ok. It doesn't take TOO long to unlock the next character in a given class, though I'm not sure why they had to lock them at all really. Basically you start with the basic character in each class, and the more you play each class you unlock different characters for that class.

It's Borderlands style, in that each class has a special ability common to each character, and each character in that class plays the same broad role, but slightly differently as they all have different abilities. The unlocked characters aren't 'upgrades' exactly (though some are probably 'better' than others for certain playstyles), but just do different stuff.

So as a Support you start off with Hank (all the characters are pretty characterful and well voiced, from what I've seen), who's the team's buffer. He has a fairly weak but capable gun, and his abilities are a shield generator that boosts the shield of whoever you're targeting it on (works similar to the medigun in TF2, but gives them a shield instead of health. As opposed to the medic's medigun, which actually IS the medigun from TF2 ¬_¬). You get an orbital strike with a long cooldown, and the class ability is a cloak for you and your target (so that you can revive them, etc, without the monster seeing you. Though you still take damage if you're hit for any reason).

Once you do enough damage with the gun and orbital/block enough damage with the shield (took me 4 matches, average match time of 10 minutes or so. It's possible to do it in 3 or maybe even 2 games, one of my matches was awful :p), those weapons will level up and get a slight increase to damage (or damage blocked, recharge time, etc, etc). Once you've levelled up all 3, you unlock the second character.

In the case of Support this is Bucket, who's basically R2D2 and C3P0 merged together. He keeps the support ability of the cloak, but instead of the other abilities he's got a guided missile launcher, sentry turrets and an UAV (to hunt down the monster and cause an icon to appear above it's head so everyone knows where he is for a short time). He's my favourite, so far.

Having a lot of fun with this. Of course, the steam forums are complete cancer, but the actual game is great so far.

A few minor annoyances:

Games take forever to get into. Not in terms of matchmaking, that's quite quick, but once you've found a match it takes 2-3 minutes, on average, to actually start playing the map. This is largely because of the pre-game cutscenes which, while pretty cool and often humorous, would probably get repetitive. I'm pretty sure this is a hidden loading screen (and gives the monster time to run away and hide, as he spawns in the same place as you, just slightly earlier) it's still irritating. Plus the actual loading times (waiting for all the players to load into the game, etc) are quite long, though obviously that depends on each player's computer and connection. And then there's always that one player who doesn't ready-up so you have to run down the entire pre-game timer...

The closed beta is on Steam/PS4 right now (it's an open beta for X-Box players because reasons). You get it automatically if you've bought either L4D or Bioshock: Infinite.

From what I've heard and seen the Wraith is a little too OP. Have you experienced that?

I'll play anything with Kung Lao in it. And that's how Shaolin Monks suckered me in...

I know, right? Now I only got to hope for Liu Kang to be in on some form or another. Sub-Zero is thankfully in every game so I don't have problems with my favorite. But Liu Kang HAS to be in. Even Moloch is confirmed, as a prop, but still...

So, who's getting Mortal Kombat X? Kitana and Kung Lao are back, making me even more excited for it.

I need to upgrade my computer but I'll definitely be getting MKX. I just hope they announce Smoke soon, I don't want to find another character to main.

Smoke would be a great addition. Tbh, I wouldn't mind if the new kharacters are just the 4 that are confirmed. Kotal Kahn looks bland in my opinion, Cassie Cage is simply a female Stryker, and while I do like Ferra/Torr and D'Vorah, I prefer the already established kharacters much more.

Going from the Mortal Kombat X comics that have been released so far, we could be in for a few new creations alongside the return of characters.

Hsu Hao won't be back though. Scorpion punched a hole through his face.

Oh, but he and Drahmin are pretty much a given that they won't be back ever, because ED BOON hates them. Hsu Hao was really bland, but I don't see anything bad on the second one...there are so many bland characters that he can hate, and he comes in and hates him.

Can you PM me some details on the comics when you have the time, and who can return?

I haven't really gotten excited about Evolve. Mostly because I don't have enough friends to make it fun and I hate playing with people I don't know. 2K's preorder BS has exactly helped either.

Good summary of the crap they're trying to pull with this game:

(probably NSFW with all the swears)

Oh man, I wasn't aware of all that. It's really too bad, but I think I'll hold out for a potential GOTY edition in that case. I'm not joining that DLC race.

Played the Stanley Parable last night as it was a funny, one of a kind experience to see the different endings. Truly a masterful job they did.

Getting ready to finally play Resident Evil HD today. I played the gamecube remake once, until I got killed by the first actual zombie you encountered, and then traded the game away. This time... I'll come prepared.

That first zombie scared the crap out of me. Wasted all my ammo killing it. Then I encountered the dogs...

Those damn dogs. I aimed down first to shoot them, but it seems shooting straight works better. Haven't died so far, but then again, I've put it on the easiest difficulty. The whole item dance is tiresome, though it absolutely has a certain charm to it. Wandering aimlessly in the corridors with the occasional zombie resurrecting...not so much. Camera's still an issue, but then again, there's the charm to it. :p

And is it just me or did they go back to the previous Jill model? They changed her face significantly in Revelations 1. Why does every lenghty IP keep changing everything. DC and Marvel is a mess, and soon this series will become too.

In a month the Dead or Alive series will be coming to PC (finally). As it's one of my favorite fighters ever (that consistently does well), I got so excited I'm planning on buying a new PC (well, I also want to play Dragon Age 3, GTA5 and Witcher 3 so there's that). I do despise what they've done with the 'extra' character. Such wasted potential... If anything, playing it on pc will allow me to enjoy the game without relatives thinking I'm some sort of freak/weirdo, with all the 'fan-service' the game brings. It's great to have new content and new moves, but one would almost revert to the original DOA5 game, without the kinky costumes and stuff, which is getting a tad bit ridiculous to be honest.

I feel like recent years have reintroduced the PC as the dominant gaming platform. Consoles are only good for couch-sitting, it seems. Or to have a cheap(er) solution. Or if you're already past 'desktop'-sitting. As someone who works behind a desktop almost all the time, I can definitely understand people want to get away from it after work. Maybe people just rather spend money on the mobile stuff, as it seems to be all the rage. I don't see the point of being online 24/7, but I might be old-fashioned.

Divinity:OS should have another patch in a couple of weeks, and soon I'll be playing that as well.
