Mike Kinsey would be a great partner for Jason Jackson. But I'm calling for Jackson to get the win by DQ when Jason runs in. Also think whoever Jason ends up with will eventually be a tag team partner in a feud with Eruption and Tsunami.

Texas Wrestling

War Memorial Auditorium (Midwest)

March (Week One) 1979

Attendance: 1,602

Rating: 0.13 on Channel 7 Regional

The program kicked off with its now-standard opening, a camera zoomed in on a young girl kneeling beside her bed, hands folded as if in prayer. “And God bless Mother, and God bless Father. But most of all, God bless Texas!” Then the screen cut to the Lone Star Stampeder and Lawrence Grove, seated behind a desk at ringside.

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/TheLoneStarStampeder.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/MarvinEarnest.jpg

“Good evening and welcome Texas wrestling fans! I’m Lawrence Grove and I’m joined, as always, by the Lone Star Stampeder. Stampy, what do we have in store for our fans tonight?”

“Well Lawrence, we’ve got quite a card. The TWL Six-Man titles will be defended as the Pain Hunters do battle against Sheik Mustafa, Panzer, and Comrade Popinowski. Also, we have exciting young Kenny Maynard taking on the dastardly Cheatin’ Mike Barstow. But first, we’re headed to the ring where Jason Jackson apparently has an important announcement to make.”

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/JasonJackson_MJSTARK.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/Eruption.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/Tsunami.jpg

Cameras cut to the ring where ‘New School’ Jason Jackson stood, flanked by the somewhat morose Double Disaster, Eruption and Tsunami. “Listen up, morons, because I – the Sacramento Sensation, the Los Angeles Love Machine, the Bay Area Bad Boy – Jason Jackson have an important introduction. Since I arrived in this poor excuse for a region, I’ve like dominated the competition. I’ve proven the superiority of the west coast and the obvious inferiority of like all…of…you. But I’m not resting on my laurels. Oh no. I’m bringing another player to the game. I searched high and low, North, South, West, and…East. Welcome the newest member of the West Coast Warriors – the ‘Oriental Assassin’ Kenzo Isozaki!”

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/KenzoIsozaki.jpg

Kenzo Isoazaki emerged from the back, instantly booed due to both his race (this isn’t the most tolerant part of the country) and his alliance with Jason Jackson. “Together, the East-West Alliance,” Jackson indicated himself and Kenzo, “are going to dominate the ranks of TWL like no other duo and, like, tonight the Oriental Assassin gets a warm-up when he takes out…my dad.” C

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

“Welp, just another reason to hate Jason Jackson. First he picks fights with his dad, Edmond Jackson, one of the most stand-up guys in this business. And now he brings in more foreigners. Just what we need here in TWL…”

“Right you are, Stampy. And speaking of foreigners, our next match features the Foreign Legion, led by Sheik Mustafa, challenging the Pain Hunters for the TWL Six-Man belts. Let’s head down to the ring.”

TWL 6-Man Title Match: Pain Hunters (Pain/Croup/Vandemar) © v. Foreign Legion (Sheik Mustafa/Comrade Popinowski/Panzer)

Billy’s Take: The Foreign Legion came out first and were roundly booed by rabidly anti-Communist fans. Popinowski looked so big that he may explode out of his red and yellow singlet. Thankfully he did not. When the Pain Hunters came out, there was a loud cheer – particularly among a small, loud contingent in the crowd. The match itself was about what you’d expect – an all-out, no-holds-barred brawl. I had quite a difficult time keeping the peace in this match, particularly near the end. Panzer and Popinowski were on the outside beating on Croup and Vandemar, leaving Mustafa and Pain alone in the ring. Sheik foolishly tried to slam the mammoth Pain, who simply picked up the Sheik and dropped him unceremoniously on his head with the Pain Killer, making the pinfall for the three count.

Pain Hunters d. Foreign Legion via Pain Killer to retain TWL 6-Man Titles

Match Rating: D

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

“And the Pain Hunters retained their belts in a hard-fought battle. They are just terrifyingly strong and, as they just showed us, can wrestle with the best of them!”

“Now we’ve got quite a treat for you fans as the Party Animals, Chase Allen and Dirk ‘Bone-Dogg’ Bonell, take on two of Shane Sneer’s boys, ‘Handsome’ Tommy Handell and ‘Luscious’ Lee Wright. Let’s head to the ring.”

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/ChaseAllen.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/DirkBonell.jpg

Party Animals (Chase Allen/Dirk ‘Bone-Dogg’ Bonell) v. ‘Handsome’ Tommy Handell/‘Luscious’ Lee Wright w/Shane Sneer

Billy’s Take: The Party Animals came out high-fiving fans, particularly one loudmouth in the front row who kept yelling “Thank you sir, may I have another?” and chanting “Toga…Toga…” Handell and Wright emerged next, sniveling Shane Sneer trailing a step behind. Inside the ring, this was a fairly one-sided affair as the Party Animals dominated from the opening bell. When Handell and Wright did make a brief comeback, Sneer screwed up and accidentally grabbed his man’s foot after a reversal of an Irish Whip sent Handell towards him rather than Allen. This was the only opening the Party Animals needed as Dirk and Chase ended the match after dropping Handell unceremoniously with the Party Crasher to pick up the win.

Handell and Wright both turned on Shane Sneer and berated him for costing them the match, leaving toward the back without their manager.

Party Animals d. Handell/Wright via Party Crasher

Match Rating: D+

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

“What a win for the Party Animals! It didn’t look like Tommy Handell or Lee Wright was very happy with their manager. Well folks, now we’re going to bring to you a pre-recorded talk with our own Trailer Park Kid and his brand new Lincoln Towncar!”

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/MikeyMontana.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/DebbieDallas.jpg

Trailer Park Kid stood next to his shiny, gold 1978 Lincoln Towncar, polishing it with the tail of his plain, white, shirt. Next to him stood the voluptuous Debbie Dallas, leaning provocatively on the hood. “I’m mighty proud of this car,” the Trailer Park Kid drawled, lovingly patting his new ride, “and I’ve decided to give her a name – you can call her Vixen. But I’m also mighty p*ssed off. Ya’ see, while me and Debbie,” he indicated his buxom blonde manager, “rode Vixen on Sunday, the Crimson Serpent Cult,” he nearly spat the words, “jumped my boys Archie Judge and Dave Wylde. And that kinda **** ain’t gonna be tolerated. Not now, not ever. So Cobra and Viper, you’d better watch your backs. ‘Cuz I’m in the mood to run over some snakes in my new Vixen.” He opened Debbie’s door then hopped in the car himself, peeling out and taking off down the road, passing numerous trailers in his home park as the camera slowly panned out. C-

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

“Those are mighty strong words, don’t you think Stampy?”

“Durn right they are, but also well deserved! I can’t wait ‘till the Trailer Park Kid and Team Texas get their paws on those no-good, dirty, rotten snakes!”

“Well fans, let’s head down to the ring where another snake, Cheatin’ Mike Barstow, is set to square off against young fan favorite ‘The Mayne Event’ Kenny Maynard!”

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/KennyMaynard-1.jpg VS http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/CheatinMikeBarstow.jpg

‘The Mayne Event’ Kenny Maynard v. Cheatin’ Mike Barstow

Billy’s Take: Maynard came out first, slapping hands with fans as he made his way to the ring. When Cheatin’ Mike emerged, the cheers turned to boos, raining down on the cast-wearing heel. In the ring, Cheatin’ Mike continued his typical underhanded ways, using the rope and Maynard’s tights and hair for extra leverage. But in the end, it was the cast that made the difference as Cheatin’ Mike laid Maynard out with his casted right hand, picking up the cheap win after an academic three count.

Cheatin’ Mike d. Maynard via cast

Match Rating: B-

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

“That Cheatin’ Mike Barstow gets my gander up. I can’t stand him or his no-good cheatin’ ways!”

“Couldn’t have said it better myself Stampy. Now for the polar opposite, the most trustworthy, upstanding man in TWL. Let’s head to the ring where Chief Two Eagles is scheduled to make a public statement.”

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/ChiefTwoEagles1977_alt.jpg

Chief Two Eagles regally strode to the ring, handing a single, white feather from his resplendent headdress to a fan seated at ringside. He wore the TWL title belt around his waist, overtop of a tan, buckskin-hide outfit. “Johnny Lawless, you have walked too long in the ways of the darkness. You have journeyed where even spirits fear to tread. And at Wild Times, your minions interfered in our match, costing you a chance to win honorably, and costing me blood. At High Noon, I offer a challenge. I want to see who the better man is. To see who the spirits favor. And to once and for all decide the fate of this belt,” he motioned to the gold around his waist. “Just you and me, inside a steel cage. What do you say Johnny? Do you have it in you to face your deepest fears, to face your darkest thoughts, to face your destiny? To face…me?” B-

‘Old School’ Edmond Jackson v. ‘The Oriental Assassin’ Kenzo Isozaki w/‘New School’ Jason Jackson

Billy’s Take: This match was a bit of a letdown after the stellar Barstow/Maynard encounter. But Kenzo really showed me why he could be a permanent fixture in TWL as his moves were executed crisply, his chops resonating through the arena. In the end, though, it wasn’t his thunderous strikes or renowned tenacity that earned him the win here, but rather the interference of his manager/partner Jason Jackson. With my attention fully on separating Kenzo and Edmond with the two locked up in the corner, Jason Jackson apparently passed Isozaki a pair of brass knuckles which the Oriental Assassin used to brain Edmond, picking up the cheap win.

Isozaki d. Jackson via pinfall

Match Rating: C-

“That rotten, good fer nothin’ Jason Jackson did it again. Seems like this Oriental Assassin will be one to watch here in TWL. And how will Johnny Lawless respond to Chief Two Eagles’ challenge? Guess we’ll have to wait until next week to find out. Until then, goodnight and God Bless Texas!”

“He wants how much?” I heard Stampy scream into the rotary telephone sitting on the desk in his makeshift office at War Memorial Auditorium. “You tell your…client,” he spat into the phone, “that there ain’t no way in hell I’m payin’ that kind of scratch for a worthless, two-bit…” Stampy stared at the phone. “He hung up.” My boss, Erick Campbell, aka the Lone Star Stampeder, turned to face me. “Shane Sneer’s gone,” he intoned, “wanted $1500 per show. Can you believe that? To be a manager for a team of young ‘uns who might never turn out to be ****. And he wanted travel expenses! Like that beat up, foreign piece of **** car he drives gives him the right to ask for more ‘o my coin. Sonofabitch,” he grumbled, grabbing a can of Lone Star beer and taking a swig. “Tell ya’ what, Billy. We need a new manager for Wright and Handell and I wanna give you a little more pull on the booking committee. Find me a guy who’ll do good with those boys – and who’ll do it cheaply – and I’ll let you book ‘em a little. How ‘bout that?” I nodded and shook Stampy’s hand enthusiastically. “Thanks Stampy, I won’t let ya’ down!” I nearly sprinted out of the office, names of potential managers running through my head. Big Al Wallace? Tyler Merrimore? Farmer Fran? Hmmm…

4/4. Faith doesn't debut for awhile. I'm sure Isozaki gets a lot of play in '77 games, but hopefully I can do some different things with him. I, for one, am excited by his association with Jason Jackson. Should add a new dimension to that storyline.

Hollywood Mike was my first choice, but SWF signed him to a written deal just a few months back, when this storyline was barely taking shape in my head. Glad to hear that you are on the Cheatin' Mike bandwagon. He's fun to write for and talented in the ring. I agree that the 6-man belts make more sense as part of a cohesive stable, but the Legion are much more useful in angles than in the ring. The crowd ****s on Popinowski and Sheik always underwhelms me when I put him in a singles match. So the belts stay on the Pain Hunters...for now. Oh, and 2/4.

Who Is...

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/KenzoIsozaki.jpg

Kenzo Isozaki?

The 'Oriental Assassin' Kenzo Isozaki is a 29-year old Japanese wrestler who first debuted in Golden Combat Grappling. After a few undistinguished years there, Isozaki and his tag team partner Shigeta Takahashi moved to the United States. They debuted in AAFW as "Yakuza Riot" and began plowing through the competition, winning that federation's tag belts in August 1973. They held it again throughout 1975 before breaking up. Takahashi returned to Japan while Isozaki joined forces with Jimmy Power to create a new tag team dubbed "Power & Kenzo". Together this tandem won the AAFW belts twice, last losing them in January 1978 to Mark Krogan and Johnny Boy Tucker. Shortly thereafter, Kenzo debuted in CPW, winning the CPW Championship from Preston Holt in October before Holt regained the title the following February.

In fact it was this CPW tie that brough Isozaki to Texas as both Edmond and Jason Jackson lobbied for his inclusion in the developing West Coast Warrior storyline.

Last week's show saw 'New School' Jason Jackson brought out a new member of the West Coast Warriors, 'The Oriental Assassin' Kenzo Isozaki. Isozaki promptly defeated Jason's father, Edmond, in a match. Meanwhile, Chief Two Eagles challenged Johnny Lawless to a cage match at High Noon, citing the interference of the Texas Outlaws as his reason. This week's edition of Texas Wrestling promises to be a real humdinger as well. Here are the announced matches:

Croup v. Professor Nero

Professor Nero and his Demons of Rage have feuded with his former protege Pain and the New Zealand Game Hunters for months. Will this end the rivalry or are things only beginning to heat up between these six heavyweights?

TWL Tag Team Title Match: 'Old School' Edmond Jackson/Giant Grimsley v. Double Disaster (Eruption/Tsunami) ©

Last week Edmond Jackson fell to the newest member of the West Coast Warriors. Will he fare better with a giant at his side or will Double Disaster retain the gold?

Flag Match: The Masked Patriot v. Sheik Mustafa

After witnessing Sheik Mustafa repeatedly wave the Russian flag in his face, the Masked Patriot has demanded a flag match against the leader of the Foreign Legion. Who will have to salute the flag of their opponent? Will the Patriot have to pledge allegiance to the Hammer and Sickle or will Sheik Mustafa be forced to acknowledge the red, white, and blue?

Chief Two Eagles/Trailer Park Kid v. Texas Outlaws (Mean Mark Green/Floyd 'F-Bomb' Bowman)

The Trailer Park Kid recently won a bright, shiny, new 1978 Towncar, which has seemed to incite jealousy, particularly among Bowman and Green. How will the Texas Outlaws respond?

Nero goes over half of a tag team that's kinda floating around some. The 6 Man belts aren't so important that Croup needs the win.

Old School and the Giant are kinda thrown together. With all the great teams in this company, if you wanted DD to drop the belts, you'd be able to find a better suitor.

I've learned my lesson, don't pick against the Patriot!

You know, I'm really on the fence here, but I'm gonna go with The Chief and TPK. I've got a bad feeling about TPK though, shenanigans are a possibility.

Texas Wrestling

Irvine Hall (Midsouth)

March (Week Two) 1979

Attendance: 5,000

Rating: 0.14 on Channel 7 Regional

The program kicked off with its now-standard opening, a camera zoomed in on a young girl kneeling beside her bed, hands folded as if in prayer. “And God bless Mother, and God bless Father. But most of all, God bless Texas!” Then the screen cut to the Lone Star Stampeder and Lawrence Grove, seated behind a desk at ringside.

“Good evening and welcome Texas wrestling fans! I’m Lawrence Grove and I’m joined, as always, by the Lone Star Stampeder. Stampy, what do we have in store for our fans tonight?”

“Well Lawrence, I’m durn glad you asked. ‘Cuz tonight we got some big’uns. In our main event, we’ll see our TWL champion, Chief Two Eagles, tag with the Trailer Park Kid against the TPK’s one-time runnin’ buddies, Floyd ‘F-Bomb’ Bowman and Mean Mark Green! And you can be sure Chief’s biggest adversary, Johnny Lawless, will be lurkin’ around somewhere. But I may be even more excited for the flag match between that no good Sheik Mustafa and the true blue American hero, the Masked Patriot. In that one, the loser has to salute the flag of the winner and I cain’t wait to see Sheiky bow before the red, white, and blue.”

“Couldn’t of said it better myself,” Lawrence replied. “But first up, we’re headed to the ring for what promises to be a real barnburner between the nefarious Professor Nero and one-half of the New Zealand Game Hunters, Croup!”

Croup v. Professor Nero

Billy’s Take: Croup came out without Vandemar and Nero sans Demons of Rage, allowing these two to really go at it without outside interference. From the get-go, these two seemed to have an innate understanding of one another, demonstrating great in-ring chemistry. That really took this match to a new level and allowed it to be one of the best openers I’ve ever seen in TWL. At times, I was tempted to sit back and just watch (which I did, later on the broadcast), but I had to keep reminding myself of my refereeing duties. Despite Croup’s brute strength, I wasn’t altogether surprised when Nero used a thumb to the eye as an opportunity to lock on the Descent into Madness (his shaking sleeperhold) to put down the barbarous Kiwi.

The Demons of Rage emerged, though whether simply to congratulate Professor Nero or to inflict more pain on Croup we’ll never know. Because Vandemar was hot on their heels, attacking Demon Anger and Demon Spite before they could approach his fallen teammate. The mohawked-duo gained the upper-hand and pummeled Vandemar. Then from the crowd came a growing rumbling and soon I saw the reason for their buzz – the monster Pain stormed out of the back. When he reached the Demons of Rage, he plowed through them like a hot knife through butter. He had a single focus – Professor Nero. As he approached the bald-headed mastermind, Pain grew enraged and threw a meaty clothesline that knocked his former mentor off his feet. Pain beat on Nero as the crowd roared its approval. When Vandemar and Croup recovered enough to pull their friend away, Nero sat curled up into a pool of his own blood. Nero, feeling that the attack had gone, sat up and stared at his bloodstained hands. His lips curled into a feral snarl before he flicked out his tongue, licking a touch of his own blood off his fingers. He smiled sadistically as cameras finally cut away. B-

“Professor Nero constantly surprises me, though after all these years he really shouldn’t. It seems like every day he gets stranger and sicker. I, for one, can’t wait to see what Pain has in store for Nero when he finally gets his hands on him!”

“I can’t wait either, Stampy. But first, we’ve got another exciting match for you folks as the TWL Tag Team Titles will be on the line when the champions, Double Disaster, put their belts up against Giant Grimsley and ‘Old School’ Edmond Jackson.”

TWL Tag Team Title Match: ‘Old School’ Edmond Jackson/Giant Grimsley v. Double Disaster (Eruption/Tsunami) ©

Billy’s Take: The challengers emerged first, Jackson barely visible behind the hulking Grimsley. Double Disaster came out next, again with no sign of their fellow West Coast Warriors Jason Jackson or Kenzo Isozaki. Inside the ring, this was quite a struggle as Grimsley’s sheer size allowed him to give the huge Samoan duo a rare physical challenge while Edmond’s veteran wiles kept the champs off-balance. But in the end, the champions retained after Eruption and Tsunami combined on a Tidal Wave to wipe out Edmond. After the match, Grimsley, standing over his fallen teammate, looked over as Eruption gave him a nearly-imperceptible nod and left the ring with his partner, tag belts hanging from their shoulders.

Match Rating: C-

“What an impressive win! Those Samoan boys are on quite a winnin’ streak. Whaddya think Lawrence?”

“You’re right Stampy, they look unstoppable! Now we’re headed for a pre-taped interview with the Crimson Serpent Cult – another team that has looked unstoppable as of late.”

Cameras cut to the back where Lawrence Grove stood next to Cobra and Viper – the Crimson Serpent Cult. “Cobra, Viper, I have just one question to ask. Why did you throw a fireball at Team Texas a couple of weeks back?” Cobra stared a hole through Lawrence, making our announcer squirm noticeably before Viper answered with a hiss into the microphone. “I’ll tell you Lawrenssse. Itsss becausssee of HIM. HE isss ssstronger than our former ally Chief Two Eaglesss. HE isss more powerful than any entity in thisss organization. HE will lead usss to the promisssed land. HE is more worthy of praissse than a thousssand membersss of Team Texasss…” But before Viper could reveal anything else about their apparent cultish leader, the Trailer Park Kid flew into the picture, attacking Cobra and Viper with flailing fists. Security stormed the set and pulled apart the combatants, the Crimson Serpent Cult hissing at the resident redneck. C+

“Don’t seem like we answered much o’ anything there Lawrence. In fact, seems to me like we just have more questions for those dirty snakes!”

“Right you are Stampy. Right you are. But for now, we have to be contended by the fact that the Trailer Park Kid is snake huntin’! Up next, folks, we’ve got the much-anticipated flag match pitting the Masked Patriot against Sheik Mustafa. So let’s head down to the ring.”

Flag Match: The Masked Patriot v. Sheik Mustafa

Billy’s Take: The interest in this match revolved mostly around the notion that the loser had to salute the flag of the winner. The crowd was abuzz from the onset – would the Patriot have to acknowledge the Soviet Hammer and Sickle, or would he humble Mustafa and force the Sheik to salute the Red, White, and Blue? The match itself was better than most matches that involve Sheik Mustafa as he and the Patriot really ramped up the action in this one. Despite his nefariousness and reliance on underhanded tactics (he’s apparently taken to wearing wrestling boots with curved-up toes to better kick his opponents), Mustafa fell prey to a Patriot Slam, giving the American masked man the victory.

Afterwards, before Mustafa could honor the American flag, Comrade Popinowski and Panzer lumbered down to the ring and grabbed their erstwhile leader, pulling him to the back. In defiance, the Masked Patriot feverishly waved the colors overhead, as the crowd cheered and chanted “U…S…A!”

Match Rating: C-

“Durn it. I’da likta’ve seen ol’ Sheiky bow to Old Glory! Nonetheless, it’s nice to see the Masked Patriot prevail. Up next we’ve got an exclusive interview with Johnny Lawless as he answers Chief Two Eagles’ challenge to meet him in a steel cage!”

Cameras cut to the ring where Johnny Lawless stood flanked by Mean Mark Green and Floyd ‘F-Bomb’ Bowman – the Texas Outlaws. Their black-masked leader took the microphone. “Squaw Two Birds,” Lawless arrogantly began, “you’re really gonna challenge me…to a cage match? Well then, I guess I accept. It’s gonna be MY pleasure to take back MY gold belt and regain MY rightful place at the top of TWL as YOUR champion,” he pointed to the crowd, drawing a chorus of boos. Green took the microphone. “Tonight me and Floyd get our shot at Chief Two Eagles,” he began in his cool Texas drawl. “And believe me when I tell you we’re fixin’ to take him and our ol’ runnin’ buddy the Kid apart.” Bowman ripped the microphone from Green and I could almost hear the heartbeats of the censors explode as the infamous F-Bomb began to speak. “****in’ right Mark, ****in’ right. We’re gonna **** ‘em up so bad their ****in’ mommas won’t be able to ****in’ tell which end is their face and which is their ***. Only way they’ll ****in’ tell is ‘cuz my ***-****ed size 13 shoe’s gonna be stickin’ outta their ***es!” Lawless regained the microphone as Floyd’s foul-mouthed ranting continued with something about sexual positions and blue polyester. “Bottom line,” Lawless coolly intoned, “is that I’m gonna walk outta that cage the TWL champion – whether or not Chief makes it outta tonight alive or dead. Because I am the greatest wrestler to ever walk the face of the earth. I am above the law. I…am…Lawless.” B-

Chief Two Eagles/Trailer Park Kid w/Debbie Dallas v. The Texas Outlaws (Mean Mark Green/Floyd ‘F-Bomb’ Bowman)

Billy’s Take: Two Eagles and the Trailer Park Kid emerged to rousing cheers, the arena nearly exploding at the sight of the TWL champion and one of our fastest-rising stars (not to mention the buxom Ms. Dallas). Inside the ring, the Outlaws demonstrated why they are multi-time tag team champions, working like a well-oiled machine to keep the Trailer Park Kid from hot-tagging in his partner. The Outlaws brutalized the Kid, working him over and keeping him in their corner. But he eventually made a desperation tag to Chief Two Eagles, who promptly cleared house. In the midst of this big comeback, Chief climbed to the second rope preparing for the Tomahawk Chop. But before he could connect, Johnny Lawless came out and pushed him from his perch, forcing me to call for the bell and disqualifying the Outlaws .

Two Eagles/TPK d. Outlaws via DQ after Johnny Lawless interfered

Match Rating: B

“What a night of action! We haven’t seen the last of the bad blood between Chief Two Eagles and the Texas Outlaws. I can’t imagine what we’ll have in store for next week. Until then, good night and God bless Texas!”

4/4 cmdrsam. And good to have you back reading!

Croup v. Professor Nero

Nero goes over half of a tag team that's kinda floating around some. The 6 Man belts aren't so important that Croup needs the win.

Old School and the Giant are kinda thrown together. With all the great teams in this company, if you wanted DD to drop the belts, you'd be able to find a better suitor.

Flag Match: The Masked Patriot v. Sheik Mustafa

I've learned my lesson, don't pick against the Patriot!

Chief Two Eagles/Trailer Park Kid v. Texas Outlaws (Mean Mark Green/Floyd 'F-Bomb' Bowman)

You know, I'm really on the fence here, but I'm gonna go with The Chief and TPK. I've got a bad feeling about TPK though, shenanigans are a possibility.

4/4 and well argued borman. Your reasoning was spot-on!

From the Notebook of Referee Billy

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/TWL.jpg

This week's episode of Texas Wrestling promises to be extra special. Once again, most of TWL's top stars are scheduled to participate as emotions heat up in preparation for March's huge High Noon show. Here are the announced matches:

TWL 6-Man Titles: Pain Hunters (Pain/Croup/Vandemar) © v. Disciples of Evilness (Professor Nero/Demon Anger/Demon Spite)

Professor Nero and Pain have been at one another's throats for months. Will this battle end here or is this merely another chapter in their long-standing rivalry?

Giant Grimsley v. Sam 'Twelve' Gauge

Wrestling's largest man takes on TWL newcomer Sam 'Twelve' Gauge, who has mysteriously attacked various wrestlers in the last few weeks. How will he fare when his opponent expects the attack?

'Old School' Edmond Jackson v. 'New School' Jason Jackson

Another long-standing rivalry here in the TWL. Father versus son, mentor versus protege. One thing is certain - this one will be a bloodbath!

Chief Two Eagles/Luis Montero/Trailer Park Kid v. Texas Outlaws (Johnny Lawless/Floyd 'F-Bomb' Bowman/Mean Mark Green)

Last week, Two Eagles and the Trailer Park Kid pulled out a win against two members of the Texas Outlaws. How will the additions of Montero and Lawless affect the outcome of this one?

Quick Picks:

TWL 6-Man Titles: Pain Hunters (Pain/Croup/Vandemar) © v. Disciples of Evilness (Professor Nero/Demon Anger/Demon Spite)
