It's good sales are down, right? Track records have shown they aren't going to change their product if we keep buying it. I know I'm not saying anything groundbreaking, but the only way we can hope they get better is by not putting money in their wallets. Stop buying Madden each year just because it's Madden. Either they will get better or you will save your time and money.

The only video games I ever bought were sports games, so they were mostly EA. I became so disillusioned after years of nothing changing I never got around to buying a PS3 or 360 and I just quit console gaming. And that was...like 4 years ago now? I played sport titles an hour or two a day for eight years and once I quit...I really didn't miss it that much. Best thing I've quit in my life besides smoking and flea markets.

Its what a lot of Americans want soccer to be which they shoot themselves in the foot by doing. EA is making excuses, but really the problem is that they're a group of lazy producers. I mean -- I'm sure their programmers work hard, and their designers, and everyone top to bottom. But someone in charge has (I have to assume, since I really don't want to blame the folks in the trenches) shackled them to just graphical updates, roster updates, and one or two new gimmicks that don't change much.

Well aware <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Their FIFA game isnt anything like real soccer. I played a lot of PES on the old Xbox, and own PES 2008 in the 360 although didn't really get into it as much since I used to play with my brother and another mate who were more into soccer than me, and they haven't been as interested in the past few years.

Even then, PES could use some improvements. Character creation is my big thng (I do like all the diff celebration animations), IIRC there's not that much to separate created guys from each other facially. Wider licensing, and of course the New Zealand team has been missing from the game forever.

Have been impressed with FIFA in recent years as it actually seems there is a difference in the game unlike in Madden.

Do you play Sports games on PC with a keyboard or a gamepad? I can't imagine using a keyboard, and also playing on a PC tends to mean no local Multi, which is a death knell to any sports game for me. I have to be able to... Team up for Team Sports.

I never play with keyboard and mouse always an xbox 360 controller, rarely have issues with lag especially playing against friends.

I find there's far few little kids filling the servers with spam and quitting 85 mins into a game etc. which make for a funner environment.

I gave up on consoles years ago. When the 360 first came out I bought one day of release and played it on and off for about 6 months. After that I gave it to my sister so she could enjoy the 124th instalment of Guitar Hero that seemed to be inevitable.
