American Psycho vs. The Butcher vs. Mexican Beast vs. Nomad

Could go anyway, just took a punt on Nomad.

Matthew Keith vs. Rudy Velasquez

Keith is better, and Rudy is a tag worker.

Ángel De México vs. Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr vs. El Muerte Blanco vs. Hell Hound vs. Victor Kahn

Seemingly like everyone else, I love KAHN.

Cell Block X © vs. The Rabid Samoans

A tough call, and the pick is based on my hatred for short title reigns, but its hard to see CBX Ko'ing both Samoans.

Dangerous Doug Peak vs. Remmy Skye

Sky should probably build some momentum, and DDP (never noticed that was his initials :p) can regain momentum with an attack on someone.

Kill Switch © vs. Big Cletus

Again, I hate short title reigns.

American Psycho vs. The Butcher vs. Mexican Beast vs. Nomad

The Butcher is the only person I really see winning this. Psycho is a good hand, but not ready. Nomad... is too much of a tweener between the Suicidal Regime and Hardcore worker. And Beast... no.

Matthew Keith vs. Rudy Velasquez

'The Traditionalist' Matt Keith? I like it.

Ángel De México vs. Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr vs. El Muerte Blanco vs. Hell Hound vs. Victor Kahn

I can't really rationalize it, but I like Victor here.

Cell Block X © vs. The Rabid Samoans

As much as I like the Samoans, I dont think the title will switch hands that quickly.

Dangerous Doug Peak vs. Remmy Skye

Either way, this wont be the last time these two face off.

Kill Switch © vs. Big Cletus

Cletus will very easily gain back his momentum after the match or next week by destroying half the roster.

American Psycho vs. The Butcher vs. Mexican Beast vs. Nomad

American Psycho is a bit of an x-factor in this one. My heart says Nomad, but my head suggests The Butcher... damn those voices in my head. Be quiet all of you!

Matthew Keith vs. Rudy Velasquez

Velasquez is the most servicable of the Latino Kings, but he's not in Keith's league. Momentum builder.

Ángel De México vs. Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr vs. El Muerte Blanco vs. Hell Hound vs. Victor Kahn

Kahn seems too obvious, but he's loaded with the most character potential, which means you may not necessarily put the belt on him as he probably needs it the least.

Cell Block X © vs. The Rabid Samoans

Champs retain.

Dangerous Doug Peak vs. Remmy Skye

I think Peak is only a main heel out of necessity at this point and the only way along the card for him is downward.

Kill Switch © vs. Big Cletus

I'll call some sort of draw on this one. Is that possible in ELITE? Cletus is your unstoppable monster, so unless he's losing in some overbooked fashion, I can't see him taking a clean fall here. On the contrary, I can't see Kill Switch looking so strong while picking up the belt to just drop it straight away. I'm looking for overbooking... nice rhyme, that.

With Big Cletus, his lifetime of severe isolation within the mountains of Appalachia proves to be the great motivation within the fray of his, almost, primal aggression. Removed from society since birth, Cletus has only really known the members of his family; weary of the ‘outside world’ which was often preached about in a sinful manner. It was expected, through these one-sided teachings, that those outside of his immediate family were nothing more than sinning heathens; pure personifications of the devil himself. </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> As he aged, Cletus missed out on the beauties of education, social development, and all-around knowledge deemed as ‘second nature’ to most within the greater society of the United States. With this in mind, Cletus has been instilled with an inability to reason; leaning heavily upon his childhood teachings to perceive the world versus actually surveying the ‘truth’ for himself. In the end, it’s this severe isolation, coupled with a learned form of immense anger directed at those ‘heathens’ down below, that fuels this giant into a psychopathic powerhouse.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> He’s not so much a ‘monster’ as a man who was never given the ability to receive the riches of modern society. Without an education, his mind is rather simple; rooted in a primal sense of aggression. Without basic human interaction, Cletus has become something of formerly caged animal finally set free; weary of the world around him. Without a proper understanding of what is deemed as acceptable by societal standards, Cletus feels he is doing ‘no harm’ by acting the way he is; thinking such violence is ‘just’ as his father’s home-made sermons were often littered with such ‘hell’.</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;"> Unruly, unkept, and uneducated; he is the ‘madman from the mountains of Appalachia’. </span></div></div><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <hr color="black"></p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="28952" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><span style="font-size:8px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">"No Rest for the Wicked" Quick Picks</span></strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>:</strong></span><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> American Psycho vs. The Butcher vs. Mexican Beast vs. Nomad</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> Matthew Keith vs. Rudy Velasquez</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> Ángel De México vs. Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr vs. El Muerte Blanco vs. Hell Hound vs. Victor Kahn</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> Cell Block X © vs. The Rabid Samoans</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> Dangerous Doug Peak vs. Remmy Skye</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> Kill Switch © vs. Big Cletus</span></p></div></blockquote>

<p>Just as a general sense of knowledge, there are no DQ's possible in ELITE Pro Wrestling. Normally, in hardcore-based promotions, such an ending isn't really possible. Just thought I'd relay that seeing how I think a few predictions have given the DQ outcome for the Main Event. </p><p> </p><p>

Kill Switch ©

… Opening Promo; ’I know the Truth’ …

[“No rest for the wicked” opens with the sight of the ELITE Champion, Kill Switch, standing closely before a webcamera lens; looking down slightly as his dampened pitch-black hair dangles before his dimly lit face. As the entire atmosphere appears quite dark, most likely standing within an undisclosed room in the midst of midnight-like darkness, the champ reflects upon the, potentially, impossible feat set before him: overcoming Big Cletus.]

Kill Switch:
The powers that be have attempted to silence the truth; casting me into the darkness as they desperately blanket the world with their mindless direction. Truthfully, this world we’ve come to know is nothing more than a smoke-screen, a figment of THEIR imagination…
[Glances up at the camera; a detached look upon his face]
this is the ‘hell’ I’ve come to challenge.

[Kill Switch continues to look off camera; almost as if he’s uncomfortable with the lens all together. Meanwhile, there appears to be an unease to his psyche. In a way, it’s as if he’s become quite detached from reality for the most part; instead, a prisoner of his own combative perception of the world.]

Kill Switch:
Big Cletus is no different than the nameless suits who reside over our planet; waiting in the wings, hidden from us all, as they aspire to gain absolute control through force alone. Much like the underground armies wait in the wings, anticipating a final call for judgment, Cletus stands afar; plotting, scheming, his way to the top of ELITE Pro Wrestling.

[The ELITE Champion stares feverishly into the camera; actually smirking in an uncomfortable fashion in the end. There appears to be a sadistic nature underneath his heavily tattooed frame; one hell-bent on unearthing ’the truth’ by any means necessary.]

Kill Switch:
You may confuse the masses but you can’t manipulate me. You would like for us all to think of you as a dimwitted, simplistic, back-home brawler with a primal-instinct as it pertains to warfare; however, that’s not really ‘the truth’, is it, Cletus?
[Pauses; stares into the camera intensely]
I know your reality… I know your ‘game’.
[A sadistic smirk forms upon his face again]
Deep down, underneath it all, you’re nothing more than a typical ‘foot soldier’ to the shadowy government looking to overthrow the new world order. You’ve been tooled, transformed, even programmed, to come to California in which to ‘shut me up’. Right?
[shakes his head aggressively; truly seeming detached from reality.]
Well, you can take your orders, their ‘master plan’, and shove it square up your a##!! Do you hear me?

[The ELITE Championship gleams in the singular light positioned above the camera as the champion himself appears to grow with intensity. At this point, it’s obvious to see that Kill Switch is nowhere near a sense of sanity. Realistically, he’s showing a severe lack of mental functionality as a whole. All in all, with that being said, he’s still the Champ and it’s this ‘detachment’ that makes him a truly unstoppable force.]

Kill Switch:
The time has come, Cletus… The time has come for me to unearth ‘the truth’…

[That phrase stands as Kill Switch’s final message as the ELITE Champion is seen slowly bowing his head back downward; removing himself mentally from the segment as a whole. Meanwhile, the camera man stays locked on the disturbed societal deifier for a matter of a few seconds; zoning in on the tattooed anarchist for a few more seconds in which to allow his ’message’ (or lack there of) to really sink in.]

Grade: C-

Duke Hazzard:
Well all be damned…

Rock Downpour:
Wow! I’ve heard from others that Kill Switch was a little ‘off’ but I wasn’t expecting that…

Duke Hazzard:
That’s our champion? He’s one more chair shot away from wearing a tinfoil hat; thinking the government is peering into his thoughts! Damn, Son…
[Laughs heartily]

Rock Downpour:
I’m sure he gives the best hugs though. Those who are mentally scarred; they always seem to be the best at showing affection once you break through that force field of raw emotion.

[Rocky is seen hugging himself as his eyes are shut; embracing the moment. Meanwhile, Duke Hazzard stares upon him with a dumbfounded look on his face.]

Duke Hazzard:
This god-forsaken place gets weirder by the second…

Matthew Keith

… Annoyed with his lack of Main Event status …

[A roaring rock anthem blares in the background as we all bare witness to the arrival of the self-proclaimed “ELITE Standard”, Matthew Keith, confidently stepping through the black entrance curtain; garnering a true mixed-reaction from the inebriated ELITISTS within the déjà vu nightclub. Realistically, by insider wrestling terms, Keith is best personified as an ‘arrogant heel’; however, such black & white classification doesn’t really ‘fly’ in ELITE Pro Wrestling. In the land of ‘bad boys’, being self-absorbed, self-righteous, and overtly full-of-oneself is thrust into the proverbial ‘grey area’; making such personalities adored by some while still holding the traditional heel-like tendencies. All in all, with that said, the ruckus crowd showers one, Matthew Keith, with a response best fit for a ‘grey area’ kind of guy; overwhelmingly negative in tone; however, portraying a small pocket of fans within the feverish fray.]

[As the self-proclaimed “ELITE Standard” climbs into the ring, instantly taking hold of a blackened ELITE microphone, the 2nd generation youngster quickly makes his presence known the only way he knows how; straight to the point & overly d*uche-baggian’ in nature.]

Matthew Keith:
Sit down and shut the F*ck up!!

[Keith’s theme comes to an abrupt end as a giant wave of negativity is verbally thrown at him; the intoxicated crowd showing their displeasure with the defiant youngster. With that said, such an arrogant push as this only strengthens Keith’s ego; shown in the devilish grin plastered across his face. He would take a few seconds to let everything sink in, looking out upon the masses with the very same smirk upon his face, before continuing forward with his latest promo wrapped in blatant self-promotion.]

Matthew Keith:
Again, The nimrods here in ELITE Pro Wresting have done you all a disservice; hell… They’ve done this whole god-damn industry a disservice at that.
[Pauses; feverishly looks out upon the crowd]
For a second month straight, the ‘suits’ in the back have decided to throw away another main event; giving an ELITE Championship opportunity to somebody other than myself. Truthfully, There is not ONE person on this f*cking roster that deserves a title shot more than me. I mean, honestly, do you not know who I am? Where I’ve been? What I’ve seen?
[shakes his head in disapproval]
I was bred, trained, and conditioned to be a Champion; to one-day take the rightful reins of this industry… And yet, ELITE continues to ‘drop the ball’; handing title shots over too dip-sh*ts with little to no talent. I mean, honestly, Big Cletus?
[Again, shakes his head]
The bumbling idiot from the hills of Appalachia gets an ELITE title shot and where am I? Competing against a no-good, drug-infested, crime-focused, thug in Rudy… Velasquez!

[The crowd pops at the sound of Rudy’s voice as Los Reyes Latinos are quite popular in the California region (most have labeled this toward the fact that there is a strong Hispanic following in the area). With that said, such a response only seems to repulse the 2nd generation wrestler more; leaving a disgusted look upon his face.]

Mathew Keith:
Really? You support that waste of a human being? What has this industry come to that you would rather cheer on a proven criminal than a bonafide 2nd generation superstar?
[shakes his head]
Rudy doesn’t’ belong in a wrestling ring… He belongs in a Prison. Maybe, at least then, he would be around the rest of his family…

http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/Angle%20Images/RudyVelasquez_alt.jpghttp://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/Angle%20Images/JesusChavez_alt.jpg

Los Reyes Latinos

… ‘Enough is Enough’ …

[A collective ‘oooh’ is heard as it’s obvious that Keith’s statement has touched upon a racial overtone. With that said, only seconds after his last statement, Keith is interrupted by the widely popular Hispanic-based rap song for Los Reyes Latinos. Within seconds, the crowd is heard roaring with excitement; meanwhile, Keith shakes his head in a disgusted manner once again.]

[Los Reyes Latinos waste no time entering the ring; heavy in their step as they appear to be ‘men on a mission’ right now. As Rudy calls for a microphone of his own, Keith is seen interrupting HIM now; calling an end to his theme music and ultimately halting any verbal back-and-forth with his aggressive stoppage.]

Matthew Keith:
No… No… No… Don’t give him a microphone; no one here speaks Spanish anyways…

[Rudy actually cracks a smirk; laughing at Keith as he nods his head while mouthing “very funny” back in his direction. Meanwhile, Keith doesn’t seem to budge in the slightest; pushing forward with his fiery-laced promo]

Matthew Keith:
You don’t deserve to be in a wrestling ring, Rudy; You’re nothing more than a blatant thug with little actual talent. Do you understand me?
[Points at Rudy; still fiery]
This industry was built upon the backs of men like me; the greats who could actually compete from one turnbuckle to the next. Thugs like you, You’re meant for fighting in the jail-yard. Now, you may feel like you’re entitled to something, after being handed everything too you since you were a child, but realistically… You’re nowhere NEAR my league…

[before Matthew can really say anything else, it’s obvious that he’s gone too far. At this point, dropping the playful smirks upon their faces, Los Reyes Latinos lunges forward; aggressively flooring the “ELITE Standard” with a 2-on-1 assault. While the attack is nothing major, it does create the narrative that Matthew may have bitten off too much to chew here tonight. While his sneaky, self-righteous, antics may work with typical scenarios, he’s now found a way to emotionally outrage a deadly tandem; an extremely irrational decision if there ever was one. All in all, in the end, Los Reyes Latinos gains a sense of revenge for Matthew’s racy comments; continually flooring him with an array of double-team, brawling-based, maneuvers.]

Rock Downpour:
“The Golden Rule’, Matthew. It looks like you may have forgotten the number one thing we’re all taught as children.

Duke Hazzard:
Don’t try to ride an alligator when they’ve cornered the outhouse?

[Rocky looks at Duke; baffled]

Rock Downpour:
I don’t even know anymore…

American Psycho vs. The Butcher vs. Mexican Beast vs. Nomad

Fatal Four-way Singles Match

A motley crew of tortured souls file down the isle, toward the ringside area, all with the knowledge that tonight could be their final ‘go’. Realistically, in such a toxic environment like ELITE, there’s a good chance that any given moment could certainly be your last; the dastardly culprit of such a dramatic downfall stemming from the blatantly violent product that both inspires, and disgusts, pockets of the US wrestling fan base. Even as this altercation comes to a head, hearing the uncomfortable tone of the opening bell in the background, we are all left with the obvious truth: this match-up was booked, solely, with the notion of spilling blood upon the ELITE canvas. There is little actual talent between the four, outside of their mindless ability to wield a deadly weapon in full force; however, such knowledge is not really needed. In the end, these men are sent out before the slightly inebriated, blood-hungry, ELITISTS before them; acting as the ‘front-line’ of the organizational army… Bringing blood, violence, and hell-like realism for all standing within the ring ropes before us all.

Here are the narratives that formed within the match:

1) Weapon warfare is a bloody ‘sport’:
One heavy-handed punch can often have an opponent staggering backward; attempting to regain his composure before the next strike comes in from another direction. One deadly swing of an already bent steel chair, glistening with blood from another opponent, can practically decapitate another; knocking said opponent out in a matter of seconds as a waterfall of blood begins to rage upon the canvas below. This, in it’s most basic form, is exactly what is seen in our opening match tonight as weapons are utilized straight away. Whether it’s a steel chair, a barbed-wire wrapped 2x4, or even a toaster of sorts, such a weapon-based strike forces each and every competitor to bleed at some point during the match. With that said, the canvas quickly becomes stained with all four men’s blood as this opening altercation looks more like a violent gang street fight versus a sanctioned wrestling match.

2) The Butcher’s Knife is used:
While some may think of it’s usage as blatantly sadistic, The Butcher’s menacing knife was used in given moments during the match. Luckily for the Butcher himself, he was the man wielding such a potentially fatal weapon; at one point, slicing the blade across the forehead of one, Mexican Beast. To say the least, the crowd is somewhat in horror as such a weapon is truly polarizing with some.

3) ‘Clinically Insane’ member, Carlos Gonzalez, interferes on behalf of his partner:
American Psycho was holding his own pretty well; however, that didn’t stop his tag partner (Carlos Gonzalez) to interject himself into the action. Sure, he’s not a ‘legal man’ per se, but in all honesty, who was going to really keep him at bay? Wilson Carlisle attempts to remove him from the scenario but without much success. In the end, Carlos is seen adding to the weapon-based carnage by centering his attack on both Butcher and Nomad (the babyfaces of the match). Overall, it’s not like he walked down to the ring and dominated. In reality, he does a good job of helping his partner’s chances; however, is thrown around the ringside area much like any other competitor in this match.

In the end, while Carlos Gonzalez is seen interjecting into the action on behalf of the American Psycho, the actual winner of such a blood-bath is none other than the B-horror-film monster himself, The Butcher. After a botched strike by Gonzalez, attempting to hit the Butcher with a 2x4 however striking his own partner in the process, The Butcher is seen landing a kendo-stick strike square between the eyes of both ‘Clinically Insane’ members. The strike, sending a sickening sound through out déjà vu, staggers his opponent enough for the Butcher to execute his signature, “The Butcher’s Cut” (DDT). Within a matter of a few seconds, It was all said and done. The blood bath we had just witnessed, the sickening display of pure ‘garbage wrestling’, had gone in favor of the Slaughter house master.

The Butcher defeats the American Psycho, Mexican Beast, and Nomad in 5:05 when the Butcher executed his signature “Butcher’s Cut” (DDT) upon a staggering American Psycho.

[The sound of ‘Rocky’ gagging is heard in the background]

Duke Hazzard:
Shape up, Boy! Haven’t you ever seen blood before?

[Continual sounds of Rocky gagging are heard; meanwhile, Duke is heard genuinely laughing at him]

Duke Hazzard:
Good God, Son… Collect ya-self. It ‘aint nuttin’ but a little blood…

[Rocky looks up at Duke with a ‘WTF” kind of look on his face]

Rock Downpour:
It aint nothing? It aint nothing? Are you CRAZY!?! I think… Oh god, I think Nomad may have lost an ear earlier on in the match… What’s that on the canvas? Is that it?

[Rocky is heard throwing up at this point; off camera into a waste bucket]

Duke Hazzard:
He aint gunna need it… You don’t need to hear in which to swing a steel chair.

Matthew Keith vs. Rudy Velasquez
w/ Jesus Chavez

Singles Match

It’s pretty easy to notice the slight unease forming within the frame of “The ELITE Standard” as he witnesses both Rudy Velasquez and Jesus Chavez (Los Reyes Latinos) storming toward the ringside area. With that said, Keith does his best to look ‘strong’; almost laughing-off such a mountain-to-climb. In reality, though, there is a general sense of anxiety slowly permeating from his every pore; doing his best to stay calm despite knowing that this match-up will certainly favor Rudy (due to the numbers game). On the other side of the coin, Rudy appears to be as arrogant as always; walking with a ‘dirty’ swagger that best radiates an unlawful tone within. Meanwhile, his ‘hired hand’ of a bodyguard, Jesus Chavez trails slightly in the background; snarling slightly as he appears to be just as confident as his smaller confidant. More or less, everything, even down to the tone set by both competitors, looks to favor the young Velasquez as his blood-bond with one, Jesus Chavez, adds a certain ‘X-factor’ to the situation at hand.

Here are the narratives that formed within the match:

1) Matthew Keith is weary of Los Reyes Latinos:
While Rudy is the person he should be most focused upon, “The ELITE Standard” appears to keep a wandering eye upon the big-man standing cross armed on the outside of the squared circle. With each and every maneuver, some flooring Velasquez in the process, Keith is seen surveying the situation at hand; wondering if Chavez was on the verge of interfering. Needless to say, sensing such hesitancy, the crowd starts to play into his nervousness; cheering wildly for Chavez to enter the ring despite not truly being a legal man.

2) Aerial prowess vs. masterful technical wrestling:
There is an obvious difference in the approaches of both men; Rudy standing as the cruiserweight brawler while Matthew presents a more, well-rounded, technical onslaught. In a way, as Keith is executing rounds of Suplexes, often following them up with a submission hold or two, Velasquez is seen attempting to floor his opponent with fists of fury; followed up by a string of aerial spots from on high. Between the two styles, no one seems to really gain a major advantage; however, Keith’s technical abilities start to show signs of wearing down his opponents speedier styling.

3) Chavez DOES interfere; on the outside:
As Keith is thrown from the ring by a strong-armed closeline from the cruiserweight spitfire, Chavez is seen laying Keith out with another closeline from his tree-trunk like arm. The strike practically flips “The ELITE Standard” over himself; crashing onto the cement floor below in the process. Needless to say, knowing the crowd’s love of Los Latinos Reyes (and their general disdain for the arrogant Keith), such a moment does nothing but drive a sense of excitement from the inebriated crowd.

In the end, Matthew Keith is able to successfully dodge a steel chair strike; ripping said chair out of Velasquez’s hands in the process. One strike to the forehead later, Velasquez is seen staggering away from Keith; still upon his feet in the process. From there, Keith is able to quickly slide in and administer a destructive back-breaker like move (knees into Rudy’s back ala Carlito) while bridging the steel chair on Rudy’s back!

The strike forces Rudy to wince in pain, rolling over onto his stomach for a second as Keith also shows signs of discomfort in his knees after such a maneuver. With that said, Keith is able to quickly go for a pinfall, and successfully gain the victory, before Jesus Chavez is able to storm into the ring and break-up the count. Meanwhile, the ruckus ELITSITS within the crowd quickly shower “The ELITE Standard” with a resounding wave of negativity; hoping that Chavez would take his head off despite winning. Sadly, for them, this didn’t come to pass as Keith is able to quickly exit the ring while still favoring his knees in the process. With a purely arrogant smirk upon his face, knowing he just ‘stole’ a win out of nowhere, Keith staggers his way toward the backstage area as he never takes his eyes off of Los Reyes Latinos (as Chavez is seen helping Velasquez to his feet).

Matthew Keith defeats Rudy Velasquez in 9:07 via a modified backbreaker while using a steel chair (ala Carlito).

Duke Hazzard:
YEEEEE-HAAWWWWW… How about that ‘Standard’?
[Laughs; in favor of Keith]
His daddy really primed him good.

[Rocky is heard breathing rather hard before speaking; almost as if he had just finished a marathon seconds ago]

Rock Downpour:
Ya gotta hand it too, Matthew Keith. It was pretty much a 2 on 1 and he still won. I can’t really stand the guy but… well… you just can’t argue with that one!

Duke Hazzard:
Damn, Son. You okay? You’re sweating like a hog on Saturday…

[Rocky is still heard breathing rather hard]

Rock Downpour:
Sweat? No… That’s gravy.

[Rocky wipes from gravy from his forehead; a glob left from his lunch from earlier]

Big Cletus

… A menacing, fear-driving, arrival …

[At this point, we transition (at least those watching this on the internet) to a short video package highlighting the truly menacing overtones of one, Big Cletus. In a page out of the ‘horror realm’ of entertainment, Big Cletus is shown slowly shuffling his way toward the déjà vu nightclub; down a deserted back alleyway as the midnight air encompasses the environment in sight. With his head bent slowly downward, his unruly hair covering his face in the process, Cletus steps slowly toward the back door of the Kazimir-owned establishment. Meanwhile, he appears to be covered in a smattering of dry dirt; all the while, dragging a rusted shovel behind him… Each and every second projecting the blood-curdling sound of steel on gravel. All in all, while it’s unknown what he has just come from, one thing is certainly for sure: No one really wants to find out.]

Grade: D+

[Commotion is heard; meanwhile, the camera man returns in which to see that Rocky Downpour is no longer there. Actually, to drive the point home, his cheaply made office chair continues to spin around in circles as it’s evident he didn’t want to ‘stick around’ one bit.]

Duke Hazzard:
Well all-be-damned…
[Pauses; watches off camera for a second]
Who-da-thunk a 400 pound food compactor could run that quick!

Six-way Singles Match

ELITE Suicidal Championship match

http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/ELITE%20Championships/ELITE_Suicidal.jpg

The vibe within the déjà vu nightclub quickly transforms into one of anticipatory excitement; knowing that the much popular ‘Suicidal Regime’ was now being thrust into the forefront. In a truly historic moment, said ‘division’ is on the verge of crowning it’s first champion; a fact that adds an extra level of grandeur to the proceedings overall. With that said, such a lofty opportunity appears to drive each of the six competitors into an intense state of focus; all wanting very desperately to be the inaugural champion. Overall, as each man practically explodes through the black entrance curtain, there is a sense that tonight’s Six-way match-up could deliver with epic proportions.

Here are the narratives that formed within the match:

1) Kahn uses his black briefcase as a weapon early on:
Just as the bell is rung, while still wearing his full dress-attire, Kahn is seen coldly utilizing his black briefcase as a weapon straight away. The unlucky recipient of such a strike, Angel De Mexico, was practically floored in the process; not expecting such an outcome to transpire. With that said, Kahn is almost instantly met with a leaping sidekick from the truly agile Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr; knocking the weapon from his hands in the process. More or less, as the briefcase is kicked out of the ring by Wilson Carlisle, there is this overall feeling that Kahn, much like everyone else, will do ANYTHING to pick up the win.

2) Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr. is a speedy ‘lightning bolt’:
Bouncing every which way, speeding faster and faster at every passing second, Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr. shows off EXACTLY why most label him the ‘poster-child of the Suicidal Regime’. His combative style, while deemed reckless by some, always appears to be masterfully crafted; removed from the ‘reckless’ nature that most claim to be his own. More or less, he’s almost impossible to keep subdued as his never-ending, lighting bolt-like, aerial approach is something truly unique as it seems like he’s everywhere at one time.

3) Continuous action is the game:
There doesn’t seem to be a moment where SOMETHING isn’t happening. To say the least, the ‘Suicidal Regime’ is all about continuous action. In a way, it feels quite seamless as speedy maneuvers, electric reversals, and jaw-dropping aerial spots are the ‘norm’ from start to finish. With this in mind, people like Angel Del Mexico, Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr, and Arthur Dexter Bradley really appear to be ‘at home’ in such a style: coming from the world of Lucha-Libre wrestling.

4) Combination of Lucha Libre & Daredevil Extremism:
This is probably one of the best ways to simply describe the ‘Suicidal Regime’. Given ELITE Pro Wrestling’s location, being Los Angeles, there is a strong influence of Mexican culture bleeding through. With that said, Lucha Libre really makes it’s presence known within the fray of this very ‘division’. Overall, though, it’s not truly a carbon copy, just presenting it to an American audience, as there is a fusion of jaw-dropping dare-devilish overtones. This gives this mentality that these pre-set competitors, these brave high fliers, are always teetering between pure recklessness and second-nature sense of focused combat.

5) Hell Hound is quite menacing:
Unlike the rest of the competitors in tonight’s match-up, Hell Hound has this over-the-top gimmicky nature to his persona. While this would normally crash and burn in some underground companies, no such thing takes place within the walls of the déjà vu night club. Funny enough, despite being labeled as a ‘heel’ by wrestling standards, he’s actually quite loved as his snarling mask brings a level of anticipation from the fans. In the end, though, he does appear to be extremely menacing as his persona feeds off of the supernatural-sense of a soul-fetching hound from the depths of hates.

In the end, as each man springs around the ring like a ‘bat out of hell’, a masterful plot is seen forming from within the calculating mind of Victor Kahn. While slowly staggering to his feet, later known to be playing possum, Kahn is able to move out of the way quickly as Angel Del Mexico accidentally strikes his own partner, Dragon Del Arco iris Jr., with a missile drop-kick from atop a nearby turnbuckle. The strike sends Dragon reeling to the canvas as Angel Del Mexico is, then, quickly removed from the ring as well by a sliding ground-based dropkick from Kahn himself. Now, with each and every member occupied around the ringside area, Kahn is seen awaiting Dragon’s slow climb back to his feet. Within seconds of finally becoming upright, Dragon is sent forcibly back toward the canvas; knocked out cold from Kahn’s signature “Wrath of Kahn” (Superkick). The fiery, intoxicated, Déjà vu club goers aggressively shower Kahn with a thunderous show of disdain; however, even their hatred can do nothing about the situation at hand. As the bell is finally rung, signifying the end of the match itself, the truth has finally been told: Victor Kahn stands as the FIRST EVER ELITE Suicidal Champion!

Victor Kahn wins the ELITE Suicidal Championship in 6:57 by defeating Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr. with his signature “Wrath of Kahn” (Superkick).

Grade: E+

Duke Hazzard:
Well all be damned, Victor Kahn is the ELITE Suicidal Champion!
[Laughs; happily in favor of Kahn]
The baddest, most ice-cold, scoundrel this side of the Mississippi.

Rock Downpour:
How can you celebrate a guy like this? He sells guns to children. Honestly, I think I saw him selling an AK-47 to an 8 year old yesterday!

Duke Hazzard:
It’s good for him; a little huntin’ never hurt anyone. Puts ‘hair on your chest’, Son!

[Rocky looks at Duke with a ‘WTF’ look upon his face]

Rock Downpour:
You are a bad… bad… man!

… The FIRST EVER Suicidal Champion …

[The final toll of the ring bell resonates within the Kazimir owned déjà vu nightclub as Victor Kahn is seen slowly rising to his feet; dusting his dress shirt off as if he were just a minor fender-bender. With a cold, yet underlying coy, look upon his face, the newfound Suicidal Champion quickly deters his focus toward the entrance isle way; staring upon the beautiful Allota FaGyna as she struts sensually toward the ring while holding the Suicidal Championship in hand.]

Meanwhile, Victor Kahn is seen standing in the middle of the ring, eyeing the devilish FaGyna with an arrogant smirk running from ear-to-ear. Realistically, It’s less about the scantily-clad female before him, as it pertains to the smirk, and more upon the fact that he now views his coveted possession, The ELITE Suicidal Championship, only seconds from his inevitable grasp.]

[All looks rather formulaic until all of a sudden…]

Boom Boom Betsy

… An alliance is born …

[Without knowing that she has entered the ring through the crowd, Allota reaches outward in which to pass the Suicidal Championship over to its rightful holder; however, such pass never takes place. Instead, FaGyna is shown to be a victim of a wayward assault; one coming from the hands of the truly controversial, Boom Boom Betsy!]

[With a violent sense of rage, unseen by most females in ELITE Pro Wrestling, Boom Boom practically mauls the beloved porn-star (Allota FaGyna); leaving her in her bra & panties following a truly passionate attack. Now, with Allota face down on the canvas, Boom Boom is shown picking the Suicidal Championship off of the campus; handing it over to Victor Kahn in the process. While the crowd boos like crazy, obviously fans of Allota (as who couldn’t be?), Boom Boom quickly raises Kahn’s hand in the air; projecting him as the dominate force that he is. In the end, while little is known as to WHY these two have seemingly formed as one, it’s pretty easy to see that an unholy alliance has formed between the controversial porn-star, Boom Boom Besty, and the newly crowned ELITE Suicidal Champion, Victor Kahn.]

ELITE Blood Brothers Championships Match

The collective blood of those within the déjà vu nightclub runs cold at the thought of tonight’s, potentially, life-threatening Blood Brothers Championships match. While a typical ELITE crowd is often blood-thirsty, practically begging for extreme violence at every turn, nothing is more unsettling than watching someone being knocked unconscious through the usage of unforgiving weaponry. All it takes is one heavy-handed swing, or an overhead strike, in which to force one’s brain into movement; slamming itself upon the very skull that protects it in the process. In recent years, as concussion research has been flushed out extensively, the instance of losing consciousness is often feared to administer irreversible damage to the victim. With this in mind, while both teams pine for the very Championship belts that Cell Block X holds currently, such an opportunity comes with the ultimate risk: the potential for immense harm (Both in the short and long-term).

Here are the narratives that formed within the match:

1) Their demeanors are quite different:
The overall collective personas for both teams are really different when perceived by the naked eye. The champions themselves, Cell Block X, are more in-line with intense silence; hard in their swagger as they always appear to be projecting an alpha-male mentality. Meanwhile, The Rabid Samoans act, and react, like primal warriors; their bodies raging with an intensity only seen in those who wage in battle. With this in mind, as these two polar opposites meet, there is a uniqueness to the whole ordeal. In the end, infectious in every way, the Rabid Samoans seem to ‘set the pace’ of the match; bringing the same aggressively intensity to rage through the bodies of the Champions themselves. In a sense, when overwhelming aggression is brought to the forefront, it often inspires others to follow suit.

2) A true ‘Open’ Altercation:
Neither team really feels as if they are in-charge. While Cell Block X comes into this match with the straps already cemented around their waist, it doesn’t appear as if they are as ‘untouchable’ as they would like to think they are. Back and forth, weapon strike by weapon strike, fist by fist, these two teams appear to be somewhat equals in their ability to generate carnage.

3) ‘Blood overpoureth‘:
With so many weapon strikes, it’s expected that blood would pour; however, no one would have guessed THIS much would spill. Through out their altercation, each member is busted open by various weapon strikes too-and-fro. The canvas, already stained with the blood of our opening competitors, continues to soak up the blood of those ‘crazy enough’ to compete within an ELITE ring. In line with this, a number of weapons seen laying around the ring also find themselves stained with the blood of these four men. With this in mind, the squared circle looks more like a war zone than anything else.

The First to be knocked out:
This deadly dishonor is given to one, Rhino Umaga. As the Samoan Machine is thrown out of the ring, leaving his partner all by his lonesome, Rhino Umaga is centered in upon; having his head violently wedged between two swinging steel chairs by Blood Brothers Champions. The sickening thud of steel, and cranium, turns some away in horror as Umaga’s lifeless body quickly falls to the canvas in a thunderous heap. Almost instantly, knowing there is no way that Umaga could regain from such a strike, Wilson Carlisle is seen calling for the bell in favor of Cell Block X. With this in mind, as Umaga is seen being helped out of the squared circle, it has become a 2 on 1 affair as the Samoan Machine looks to combat two men at one time.

In the end, while the Samoan Machine holds his own against both Cell Block X members, the numbers game becomes a little too much to overcome. As Machine is seen throwing desperate fists of fury in the direction of Sayeed Ali, Omar Brown makes his presence known by landing a chair shot to the side of Machine’s head. The unsuspected strike staggers the international juggernaut, forcing him into a state of vulnerability as Brown & Ali quickly pounce upon him like a hungry cat. Within a matter of 20 seconds, Machine was also knocked unconscious following the very same wedged chair-strike that took out his partner, Rhino Umaga. Again, the sickening strike forcibly sends Machine into a state of unconsciousness; his lifeless body crashing to the canvas in the process. There is little debate at this point as Wilson Carlisle quickly calls for the bell much like an MMA referee would survey the conscious levels of those competing within the octagon. Just like that, after showing themselves to be true equals, it’s the Blood Brothers Champions that walk away as the ultimate victors; injured in their own right as they are barely able to mask their collective hindering limp.

Cell Block X retains the ELITE Blood Brothers Championships in 9:45 by K-O’ing Rhino Umaga, and the Samoan Machine, (in that order) with a wedged chair shot combo.

[Heavy breathing is heard from Rocky; as always]

Rock Downpour:
Have they no decency!

Duke Hazzard:
Decency? Boy, do you know where we are? This is ELITE Pro Wrestling! There ‘aint no room for that doo-hickey!

Rock Downpour:
I don’t care WHERE we are, Dukey! These men, these punks, may have just ended the lives of the Rabid Samoans! I don’t think EITHER man has moved since…

Duke Hazzard:
That’s the nature of the beast, Son. This place ‘aint for the weak at heart.

Rock Downpour:
I guess it’s for the sadistic and the suicidal…

Duke Hazzard:
There ya are!

Remmy Skye and Dangerous Doug Peak

… Pre-match attack…

[The déjà vu nightclub is locked within an inebriated sense of excitement; cheering wildly for the enigmatic Remmy Skye as he lazily shuffles through the black entrance curtain. With a quasi-arrogant smirk upon his face, feeding off of the generous love projected his way, Skye is seen standing before the ruckus crowd; soaking in the frenzied environment just as an artist would embrace those who genuinely ‘understand him’.]

[Within a matter of a few seconds; however, this ‘love-fest’ would come to a dramatic halt as Dangerous Doug Peak is seen exploding through the very same curtain; harshly assaulting the ‘enigmatic one’ from behind. Not expecting such an attack to take place, Skye is completely overwhelmed by one, Doug Peak. Realistically, there isn’t much room for overtaking such a momentous attack as it’s obvious that Remmy is truly out-matched; at least in this scenario as he was violently floored by viciously eager assailant.]

Grade: E+

Rock Downpour:
What the hell is this all about?! Dangerous Doug Peak has just attacked Remmy Skye before the match has even started! What a cowardly move…

Duke Hazzard:
Cowardly or Brilliant?

Rock Downpour:
How can this be brilliant? He cheap-shot him from behind, while he was on his way to the ring, and you consider that ‘brilliant’?

Duke Hazzard:
I reckon so, Boy.
[shakes his head; snarling slightly]
If ya ‘aint trying to get ahead then ya always gunna be left behind…

Dangerous Doug Peak vs. Remmy Skye

Singles Match

Unlike any other match we’ve seen in ELITE Pro Wrestling’s history, this altercation did not start with an iconic wave of anticipation. Instead, given the pre-match attack administered by one Doug Peak, the opening scenario feels more like a one-sided street fight than anything else. With this in mind, there’s very little to say about the general atmosphere circulating around this match-up other than the fact that Skye struggles to stay upright during Peak’s onslaught. Bouncing, flinging, and desperately throwing punches of his own, Remmy quickly becomes the physical personification of a victim; truly unable to keep up in the process.

Here are the narratives that formed within the match:

1) Dangerous Doug Peak’s pre-match assault proves to be beneficial:
With such a dramatic attack before the official start of their match, Skye is shown to be struggling to simply ‘keep up’ with the one-sided assault. A punch here, and a kick there, actually lands in his favor; however, the overall wave of momentum appears to be firmly in Peaks’ theoretical corner. In the end, it takes a good minute or so for Remmy to regain his composure; overcoming the shock of such an early assault and coming out as an equal.

2) Tables are their weapon of choice:
In an unspoken rule to their altercation, it seems that both Skye and Peak are focused on utilizing tables in various manners through out the match. Whether they are bridged in the corner of a turnbuckle, set-up for more impactful maneuvers, or jammed into their opponent like a piercing weapon, the ladder was the obvious choice by both men to inflict as much pain as possible. With this in mind, as their general flow takes them all around the ringside area, tables are seen still standing; untouched and ready for usage at any moment. Overall, this creates somewhat of a ‘land mine’ mentality to their altercation.

3) Power trumps the daredevil nature:
The very thing that makes Remmy Skye deadly was practically subdued by Dangerous Doug Peak’s overwhelming power. The ever diving human-torpedo that is Remmy Skye was consistently held down; unable to really ‘fly’ as his flimsy frame is violently swung around the ring like a theoretical rag-doll.

4) Remmy Skye seems ‘lucky’ more than ‘talented’:
It isn’t so much that Remmy Skye is untalented, in reality it’s quite the contrary; however, it seems that his true ‘X-factor’ appears to be a reckless sense of luck. His tight-rope-esque approach may be flashy but also brings a high risk/high reward kind of payoff in the end. With this in mind, if he executes, it always seems as if he’s pulling off the unthinkable by the ‘skin of his teeth’ (luckily). If his mind-blowing risky nature doesn’t pay off then it shows as another example of why such an approach is certainly ill-advised. In this scenario, Skye is able to deliver upon a number of unthinkable comebacks; however, they are all shrouded in the negative notion that they are simply luck playing out (versus actual talent).

5) The squared circle is unable to contain them:
It doesn’t take very long for these two competitors to drag their brutal warfare into the small masses within the déjà vu nightclub. With fists-a-blazing, Skye and Peak are seen piling into the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th row on their way to the depths of the background. Meanwhile, as they make their move in a combative brawl, nearby fans are seen aggressively cheering for their defiance of the natural laws of Pro Wrestling as a whole; stepping away from the traditional in-ring environment and pulling the crowd into the mix.

As the two are seen brawling their way toward the back wall, coming closer toward the large wall-length neon bar located in the depths of the background, various unnamed fans move out of the way; aware of the carnage that is being subjected before them. In the end, as the two violently brawl back and forth, the match comes to a close with the shocking sight of Remmy Skye reversing a potential powerbomb off of said bar (onto the concrete floor). In his iconic reversal, turning said powerbomb into a Hurricanrana, both Skye and Peak are seen crashing heavily upon the unforgiving floor before the bar. With the roar of the crowd heard all around, and a number of nearby fans scurrying to see the final outcome of such a shocking reversal, Remmy Skye is able to will his broken body into one last act of strength; dramatically collapsing upon his victim for a standard three count in his favor.

As the bell is rung, neither man moves; obviously injured from their shocking fall. While it may not have been as drastic as the 30-something foot drop that both embarked upon last month, falling from atop a ladder at the same time, there’s no doubt that these two are feeling the effects of such a hard landing. It would be quite some time before either of them even show signs of moving; a fact that doesn’t bode well for either competitors overall health.

Remmy Skye defeats Dangerous Doug Peak in 9:08 following a Hurricanrana off of the nightclub bar.

Grade: D

Duke Hazzard:
A hoot-ang-kahn-rayna off of the bar?
[Reaches below the bar for something]
I reckon I’ll drink to that!

[Needing barely anything in which to inspire a shot of whiskey, Duke finally pulls the bottle out from underneath the desk; its normal resting place. After throwing a glass up as well, pouring a quick drink, the grizzled cowboy quickly shoots his glass of whiskey like a seasoned pro.]

Rock Downpour:
I’m afraid you have a problem…

Duke Hazzard:
Problem?
[Laughs to himself’; in a raspy fashion]
Son, where I come from, you drink Whiskey with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Hell, the family dog drinks whiskey with ya!

Rock Downpour:
You’re a peculiar man. You know that right?

[Duke pours himself another drink; shoots it quick as he doesn’t even blink]

Duke Hazzard:
Keep your city-words to yourself, Son. I’d rather drink in silence.

Remmy Skye

… Rising to his feet; widely celebrated …

[Remmy appears to be in a lot of pain as he slowly pulls himself back to his feet; a good 40 seconds after his victory was made official by a dramatic three count from ELITE referee, Wilson Carlisle. In a way, it looks as if the ‘enigmatic one’ is physically broken; wincing heavily while trying to fend off such a weak perception by relaying a playful smirk upon his face. All in all, it looks as if this segment is solely being used in which to cultivate a sense of praise for Remmy when all of a sudden…]

[… BAM!!! …]

[… An unknown man encounters the barely upright Skye; slamming a steel chair across his back in the process. As expected, Skye’s weakened frame collapses rather quickly; toppling to the cement floor below in a thunderous heap. Meanwhile, such a strike causes nearby fans to aggressively show their displeasure; throwing beer on the attacker (who doesn’t seem to really care what so ever).]

[As the camera man finally focuses in, It’s easy to see who the attacker really is…]

http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/Angle%20Images/JackGriffith.jpg

Jack Griffith

… The ultimate ‘Bad Boy’ makes his presence known …

[After years of personal shame, widely regarded as a ‘shell of his former self’, Jack Griffith has made his return to Pro Wrestling in a truly chaotic manner; striking Remmy Skye from behind with a steel chair! In the end, Griffith doesn’t continue his assault. Instead, he’s seen slowly walking away from his fallen victim; dropping the steel chair in the process as he exit’s the scene just as he came into it… without warning. While his return is quite a shock, the truly confusing thing is WHY Remmy Skye?]

Grade: E+

[Rocky is heard breathing rather loudly into his microphone; as always]

Rock Downpour:
What the HELL was that all about?

Duke Hazzard:
Opportunity.
[Nods his head in approval]
You hand it out, you’ll find yourself face down on the cement.

Rock Downpour:
Are you speaking in code now?

Duke Hazzard:
If by ‘code’ you mean ‘the truth’, then I reckon so.

Kill Switch © vs. Big Cletus

Singles Match

ELITE Championship Match

http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/ELITE%20Championships/ELITE_Champion.jpg

The blazing lights from above gleam triumphantly upon the gold-plated belt positioned perfectly over Kill Switch’s right shoulder. This championship belt, it’s tenure quite short thus far, is truly THE most important symbol in ELITE Pro Wrestling. Just the sight of it’s glory inspires a sense of grandeur to any, and all, who dare claim it as their own. With this being said, Kill Switch will forever carry the perception of dominance; standing as the FIRST EVER ELITE Champion. His sternly calm demeanor masks the fiery, vengeful, persona that theoretically eats away at his very soul; all the while, said sternness gives him the aura of a hardened Champion.

In an opposing view, Big Cletus appears to be a man of his own-making. In a sense, he is not of ‘this world’; this society as a whole. The grizzled, unkept, unruly, mountain man shuffles his way toward the ringside area with an uncomfortable sense of calm radiating from his massive frame. Realistically, no one in their right mind would buy such a perception; however, as his recent history has systematically proven otherwise. All in all, while both competitors appear to be slightly calm despite the obvious ‘hell’ bestowed upon them tonight, there is an unsettling overtone forming around the ringside area; one dipped in the anticipation of a bloody, life-changing, exchange of violent warfare.

Here are the narratives that formed within the match:

1) Cletus has found his ‘intense equal’:
While most would label Big Cletus as THE most intense figure in ELITE Pro Wrestling, to deny the ELITE Champion of such a status would be nothing short of idiotic. The resident Anarchist, and all-around defiant warrior, radiates the same kind of intensity that the Appalachian ‘Monster’ does; only within a much smaller frame by contrast. In a way, their overall approach is shockingly quite similar; almost in an eerie fashion. Both are semi-calm at the onset, almost lulling their opponents in a false sense of comfort ability, only to later explode with a full-on sense of destructive rage; pent up aggression capsizing like a 20-foot wave in search of a victim. Overall, with their fighting styles rather similar, this unique championship altercation cultivates a hard-hitting, intensely stiff, round of combat.

2) Big Cletus is uncontrollable; unpredictable:
You can never really know what to expect from Cletus. Then again, how could you honestly? Here’s a man, removed from society in the Appalachian Mountains for his entire life, force-fed zealot-like doctrine from his clinically insane father, and he’s suppose to function like a well-adjusted competitor? Realistically, Cletus shouldn’t be anywhere near a massive crowd of people, especially one as intoxicated as an ELITE crowd, as his unpredictable nature poses as a major threat to the lives of all those involved. Much like last month, Cletus’s rage is not specifically focused on his opponent exclusively. Wilson Carlisle, ringside techs, random security guards around the ring, and even extremely vocal fans in the first row are all subjected to his destructive wrath; a fact that generates a mob-esque kind of vibe (much like the town banning together, with their pitchforks and fire, in which to ‘topple the village monster’). You would expect that such a wandering sense of focus would bode well for the ELITE Champion, and in reality, that’s somewhat true. With that said; however, Big Cletus shows himself to be an absolute wrecking ball; theoretically. It doesn’t matter who is in his path, or where his focus may lie at that very second, the only real truth is that he will continue to maul all that’s before him.

3) Kill Switch doesn’t need weapons; he IS a weapon:
Building upon his ‘golden skill-set’ last month, Kill Switch continues to perpetuate the narrative that he doesn’t need the usage of weapons in which to win. It’s not so much that he’s ‘above them’, more in-line with the fact that his hands, and feet respectively, are ‘weapons in themselves’. His extensive knowledge of the hard-hitting, martial arts-esque, approach to stiff striking not only leaves the viewer with a sickening crack in which to hear but also conveys a perception that he is a true ‘human weapon’. With that said, as Cletus continues to utilize a small stock-pile of random weapons located around the ringside area, Kill Switch continues to ‘subdue the beast’ with the usage of his own body.

4) Matthew Keith walks out and is instantly ‘floored’:
It isn’t all that shocking that Matthew Keith decided to make his presence known in the main event, especially seeing how he did so last month as well; however, what happens to him is what everyone seems to be talking about. Within seconds of slowly strolling down the isle way, projecting an arrogant swagger to his step, Keith is instantly floored by a diving Kill Switch. Much like a torpedo, blazing over the top rope in a lucha-libre inspired plancha, Switch is seen crashing upon the frame of an unsuspecting Keith. In the end, such a dive inspires the crowd to relay a hefty-dose of excitement as Keith already looks to be neutralized straight out of the gate.

5) Big Cletus ‘bumps‘; again:
Shortly following a lengthy brawl between Switch and Cletus outside of the ring, Cletus is seen attempting to climb back into the ring; following behind the much speedier Switch in the process. However, once Cletus steps up onto the apron, Switch is seen springing into action; lunging toward him with a thrusting sidekick. The bottom of the ELITE Champion’s black boot slams square into the jaw of the challenging Cletus; sending him crashing back outside of the ring in a truly devastating fashion. As his massive frame goes limp, taking the brunt of such a kick, his full weight slams into the guardrail lining the ringside area. Within seconds, the entire rail is shoved backward a good 3 feet; forcing nearby fans to topple over into a massive heap. Meanwhile, Cletus’s body slams sadistically into the unforgiving steel; awkwardly contorting his body in a shocking manner. While menacing, at this moment… Cletus looks like he could be ‘dead’.

Even more shocking, the fall doesn’t instantly garner Kill Switch the victory. After said fall, the ELITE Champion is seen attempting to execute a pinfall upon the motionless powerhouse. After 2 counts have passed, somehow, Big Cletus is seen kicking out in a forceful fashion; shoving the Champ square off of his mountainous frame in the process. Those fans who are not tending to their own injuries are in a sense of shock as the Appalachian-monster has seemingly survived such a deadly fall.

In the end, Big Cletus is unable to truly overcome his injuries from ‘the fall’; obviously showing signs of pain in his back despite doing his best to hide such limitations. With the big-man slow to return to his feet, Kill Switch finally breaks free from his ‘no weapon usage’ approach in which to floor the massive challenger; slamming a steel chair square over his head in a vicious fashion. The strike, wound up like a baseball swing, lands square in the middle of Cletus’s Cro-Magnon-like forehead; sending the ‘monster’ crashing to the cement floor below. From there, Cletus would do to the unthinkable as he actually looks to get up following the shot; however, that would never come to happen. Why? As Cletus attempts to sit-up, Switch lands another vicious shot square over the top of Cletus’s head… ending any chance at a comeback. Seconds later, It was all over. Wilson Carlisle is shown diving to the cement floor in a theatrical kind of fashion, counting a three count in favor of the ELITE Champion.

Kill Switch retains the ELITE Championship by defeating Big Cletus in 11:55 after striking him twice with a steel chair.

Grade: D

Rock Downpour:
KILL SWITCH!!

Duke Hazzard:
Is that all? You know, it takes more than just saying someone’s name to be an announcer, Son.

Rock Downpour:
What? Would you rather me say ‘reckon’ fifty billion times while drinking another round of whiskey? Is that ‘more’ Wrestling like for you?

Duke Hazzard:
Don’t mind if I do…

[Again, duke pulls out his trademark bottle of whiskey; located under the commentary table. Meanwhile, Rocky is seen rolling his eyes.]

Big Cletus, Kill Switch ©, and Wilson Carlisle

… Absolute Destruction; fueled by raw emotion …

[seconds after the final toll of the ringside bell is heard, Big Cletus is shockingly pulling himself back up to his feet in a frumpy kind of fashion. While Kill Switch has his back turned to such a scenario, gaining physical control of his championship through a handoff from Wilson Carlisle, Big Cletus is shown exploding in a vengeful fashion; huffing and puffing like a rabies=infected madman on the verge of an attack.]

[Moments later, as blood pours down the forehead of the mountainous madman, Kill Switch is shown being laid out by the volcanic Cletus; a big boot to the back of the head as the ultimate culprit of such carnage. As expected, due to the overwhelming force of the big-man’s immense strength, the ELITE Champion is practically catapulted across the ringside area; slamming into a nearby guardrail in a weighted fashion.]

[Wilson Carlisle, the senior referee in ELITE Pro Wrestling, attempts to flee the scene; however, is also met with a sadistic end as Big Cletus viciously floors him as well. It would only take one wild swing of his tree-trunk like right arm in which to fold Mr. Carlisle up like a rag doll; leaving him motionless on the cement floor below in the process. From there, the ‘Appalachian Madman’ is shown physically destroying the ringside area much like a overwhelmed 4-year-old in the midst of a temper tantrum…]

[Gaurdrails are kicked aside… Steel Steps throw into the crowd… Turnbuckles practically torn apart…]

[All in all, the ringside area has become a theoretical war zone as bits and pieces of the surrounding area is torn apart by the violating madman. With this, ‘No Rest for the wicked’ comes to a close with the shocking sight of Big Cletus imposing his will upon ELITE Pro Wrestling as a whole; symbolically destroying everything in his sight as a trail of carnage lay in his wake.]

http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/Angle%20Images/JohnKazimir.jpg

Shifty Kazimir

… Watching from afar; Enjoying such blatant carnage? …

[Weirdly enough, as the show comes to its chaotic close, a nearby web camera notices the fact Shifty Kazimir is standing inches from the black entrance curtain; watching from afar with a wild smirk upon his face as Big Cletus viciously tears apart his ‘empire‘. The true shocking nature of this closing sight is that, most would think, Kazimir would be pissed with such a scenario; however, that seems to be far from the truth. Instead, Kazimir watches on with a devilish grin forming from ear to ear; adding a sense of mystery to the truly destructive end of tonight‘s event.]

Grade: E+

Rock Downpour:
I’m outta here!!!

[Commotion is heard as Rocky leaves the commentary table… again.]

Duke Hazzard:
Why is everyone so afraid of Cletus?
[Laughs]
He reminds me of my Granny; beard and all!

So you wanna be… an ELITE Wrestler?
... Prediction Challenge # 1 ...

Have you ever had the overwhelming want to hang out with porn stars, druggies, and a bevy of realistic psychopaths? Have you ever awoke in the middle of the night with the “F-word” on the verge of your lips; doing it’s very best to expel outward in a show of absolute defiance? Are you an all-around douche-bag with a ‘God Complex’? Are you often referred to as off-beat, crazy, or a mainstream reject? If so, then ELITE Pro Wrestling should be your next employer!

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, This is your chance to finally dust off those wrestling boots you bought when you were 14, swearing that you would one day main event Supreme Challenge, and climb into the only squared circle equip with the potential for sex at every turn.

Realistically, those of you who decide to leave behind your predictions, will be given a point for every right prediction made. Also, along the way, there will be ‘special bonus questions’ that can generate a point or two (depending upon how it’s laid out). In the end, the person with the most points after 6 overall ELITE Pro Wrestling shows will be given the unique opportunity to craft an ELITE Wrestler of their own!

Said winner will get 20 points in which to ‘spend’ on four different categories (much like the Quick Add scenario in TEW); These categories being: Core Skills, Athletic Ability, Ability Level, and Entertainment. So, in a sense, you can have your created wrestler be an AMAZING communicator; however, by doing so it will hurt his other abilities overall (as your spending more points on one given area then giving ‘5’ points across the board).

Also, you’ll be in full control of naming this person, his finishers, and his overall persona. In the end, when it finally comes to pass, I will PM the winner and start the process of talking through the new character. I hope, by talking together, a clear character will come together that could, potentially, be a staple figure in ELITE’s lengthy history.

With that said, Get to predicting… That is… If you have a ‘death-wish’ and want to rub elbows with the clinically insane, the overwhelmingly arrogant, and the extremely over-sexed. Sounds like fun, right?

Diary Update

I'll be honest, that show took a lot out of me. ha. Why? A lot of things came up within the week (internet issues, family health issues, work, searching for new work, etc.). With that said, Sorry it took so long for everything to get posted. Normally, I'm pretty quick about getting things up but I had to take a little bit of a hiatus in which to get 'back on board' mentally.

I know that keeping up with my normal 'speedy routine' is kinda hard, so, there may be moments in time where I'm forced to slow down. However, I'm really dedicated to this project so I'll always keep things moving along.

All in all, I hope you enjoyed the show! More to come...

I wouldn't worry about that. You're writing incredibly detailed show accounts and segments, that sort of intensive writing style isn't easy to maintain sometimes and you can't really force it either. Those sort of quality updates are worth waiting for, so don't over-push yourself for the sake of time.

I'm looking forward to having a proper read-through of the show when I've got enough time to sit down and read it properly. I can't really do it justice with a skim read tonight, but I'll stick my thoughts down on it once I've finished.

Great to hear, sebsplex. Honestly, I don't really expect anyone to be able to give these show a quick read the split second they go up; such a thought would only be arrogant of me. ha. With that said, I do hope that I continue to pull some along for the road even though the results, characters, backstage stuff, is a little more 'fleshed out' than a normal writer's. I know that's what sets me apart; however, I'm also afraid that that could eventually leave some as overwhelmed when it comes to reading/keeping up. Either way, I don't plan on changing much as that's 'how I write'. ya know?

With this project, more so than anyone before, I'm really trying to pace myself; allowing me the ability to have 'a life' away from my writing. This way, it will allow this ELITE project to stick around for a little longer. If I can find a way to fuse it into my everyday life (seeing that I'm pretty busy) then this diary will have a longer shelf life versus any project since DOA. I tend to get into an idea, push it to the max, and then fall apart pretty soon after as I think of new ideas to go forward with. I don't want to do this to ELITE, and really want to make this a diary that extends years down the road (in-game), so I'm doing my best to really make it as comfortable for me as possible. Will this mean longer time in which to write a show? Yea. As you said, I just hope people are up for the ride in that manner.

Anyways, I'm finishing up a backstage scenario as we speak... Fleshing out Skye a bit more as we introduce a figure in his past; while also giving a stronger look at Shifty Kazimir as a whole. All in all, This notion that will be touched upon will continue to snow-ball quite a bit. I guess, in the end, Shifty will prove to be a pretty mysterious figure none the less; suspense circulating around he, and his businesses, as a whole.

“Have you really thought this one through, Rem? I mean… This guy was up on felony drug trafficking charges! Don’t get yourself in ‘too deep’. If he looks like a rat, smells like a rat, and sounds like a rat, he has to be one, Rem. Just… just be careful. Okay?”

+ Beach Babe Bunnie

Remmy's ex-girlfriend

Her voice stammers lightly; silently hiding the softened tears that roll down her sun-bleached face. It had been months since our romantic demise; however, we still play the neurotic dance that comes with the act of being undefined. It’s true that our emotionally-laced tie still resides, laying dormant under mounds of theoretical baggage; however, enough has come to pass that I believe it may be irreversible.

Either way, even with such toxicity laying in the in between, we still care for one another; how could something as intense as love truly ever subside? Energy is indestructible. Love is no different.

While her plea was somewhat dipped in a genuine nervousness, accelerated by the very same toxicity that plagues our state, her point is quite sound. Just a few days earlier, while I was inches from the gold-plated doorway of one, Kazimir’s, office, I was abruptly taken back by the sight of several law-bending individuals arrogantly exiting said room. With a sense of swagger to their step, it was pretty obvious to see that they were nothing short of ‘bad news’. Believe me, I’ve rubbed elbows with their type in the past, and it’s not entirely hard to classify such figures in the greater Los Angeles area.

Was it alarming to see potential gang members exiting Kazimir’s office after a midway meeting? Maybe. However, with that said, I wasn’t brought to Los Angeles in which to question Shifty’s business practices. If there was an ounce of ‘dirt’ on the man, I’m sure it would come out with time; it was bound too. Was this the first sign of such a scenario? Possibly. Realistically, It’s not my place to question such a thing; even with a former-ex whispering sweet ethics in my ear.

“To each his own”…

It’s been my mantra since my teenage years; rebelling from the overtly strict household from which I came from.

In my life-long review, how can one truly touch upon the depths of creativity without giving up on ones self of ethics? While others utilize painting, drawing, or writing as their inspiring vices, I utilize the art of Pro Wrestling as my creative outburst.

ELITE Pro Wrestling gives me the opportunity to touch upon the very limitless freedom that most companies run away from; afraid of the mainstream backlash that would certainly follow. This is why I came to work for Shifty, why I gave up my tenure with CZCW in which to take on a new direction, so I wasn’t on the verge of letting such an opportunity slip through my hands; all on the fact that an emotionally burnt-ex felt it may be ‘dangerous’.

Regardless of his… well… Shiftiness… I was in-debt to ELITE Pro Wrestling. This had become ‘my playground’, my muse, and there was little that would take me away from that. Very little.

It was only a matter of time.

While some may question his loyalty to his father, following the ‘scape-goat’ debacle brought on by Richard Eisen’s inability to accept that the fans won’t always ‘like’ the creative direction of his empire, Matthew was always destined for the gleaming lights of Pro Wrestling greatness. Realistically, I thought his time would come with Cornell’s establishment but I guess RIPW is his best opportunity. While TCW begs the masses to, once-again, accept the daunting slow-paced traditional product, SWF remains KING amongst those who look to Pro Wrestling as a form of entertainment. With this in mind, why wouldn’t Matthew opt for the possibility of a mountainous climb versus the plateau of traditional means?

“There are no hard feelings what so ever, dude. This is what you have to do.”

I meant what I said. While it would be easy to vilify Matthew, what would be the benefit? To feel good for a few seconds, create a phony war within my head between SWF and ELITE, and unrealistically banish him from a place he doesn’t want to be anyways? Such a move would only be stupid. This is a business for most and Matthew has a better opportunity for furthered greatness with a company like SWF. With that said; however, he’ll have to make it through the infinite abyss (RIPW) in which to ever get to the ‘main stage’; a fact that often kept me from entertaining the ‘Land of Supreme’ as a possible destination.

While some like conformity (those who accept the SWF’s stringent focus), such a scenario was never all that appealing to me. I would rather die on the Indy circuit, pushing the envelope of this industry, than rot away within the ranks of a big-time corporation. I guess, what I’m trying to say is, I would rather be anarchistic, going against the grain, in which to potentially come upon something meaningful than drop my head, suppress my thoughts, and simply do what the ‘dog-master’ tells me to do.

Matthew fits best as an obedient dog; one who will break his back in which to appease those who can make his name legendary amongst the proverbial masses.

Random thoughts...

Diary-based ramblings from E-V

  • It somewhat sucks having Matthew Keith leave for RIPW. Honestly, I expected this to happen at some point; however, it still throws a wrench in my initial booking plans. For those who followed me during my PSW days with Greed, this kind of occurrence is quite common; and one I freely accept. In the end, it forces me to be more creative as I must be flexible each and every month or else find myself in a 'corner' from a booking perspective. Would I like to keep him around; playing the role of the Shane Douglas'like character? Hell yea. Is that possible? No.

  • Speaking of John Greed (and the whole 'Evolution of GREED' series), there are some parallels that you could draw from John to Remmy; however, at their core they appear to be different people entirely. John was more of a depressive, jaded, and bent about everything that happened to him. He was anti-authority because, deep down, he felt extremely burnt by everything that happened. Remmy, on the other hand, is quite the optimist. At the same time, he carries the same defiant nature in a way; however, not as strongly as John once did. Plus, Remmy is more of a philosophical, easy-going, creative-type. He's much more of an artist than he is an 'arm-bar' kind of wrestler (that's what drew him to ELITE; as he was given free-range as it pertains to creative decisions). So, while there are some similarities between the two, I honestly feel that they are being projected as two entirely different mindsets.

  • With the backstage locker room morale being at a staggering 46.1%, I was expecting more trouble from everyone on board. Funny enough, in my two shows thus far, things have gone on pretty smooth. Maybe that's because our rules are very, very, very lax? (Drinking, Drugs, and the ability to arrive and leave when you want, all present). Either way, I thought there would be more problems that would arise but I guess there's time?

  • I tried to hire some more notable 'bad boys' (Jay Chord comes to mind); however, many of them turned me down. Honestly, I want the roster to reflect reality. So, if ELITE says they are the 'bad boys' of the industry then I'm looking for those who really personify that perception (those who are known a$$holes within the Pro Wrestling ranks). As we speak, I've looked into bringing in Burning EXILE for that very reason. Plus, he brings us credibility within the 'Suicidal Regime' as he's a know entity world-wide (outside of the fact that he's known for being a world-class A-hole).

  • I'm still in the process of discovering 'my groove' as it pertains to booking ELITE Pro Wrestling. While they are 'hardcore' in the root-form, They are described as 'Los Angeles Hardcore' in the default database. To me, knowing LA as I do, I see this as being hardcore wrestling based upon quirkiness, off-beat, borderline weird gimmicks/gimmick matches all with the arrival of Lucha Libre wrestling as an undertone (given the extremely strong Hispanic population in the area). With that in mind, I'm throwing around ideas in my head in which to get closer that that idea. Hopefully, after a few more shows, I'll have my stride down better.

<hr color="black">

Unlike in previous projects, I plan on relaying some of my personal viewpoints during the diary process. While this may nto be a regular thing, I plan on using it whenever something inspires me to speak from a 'behind the scenes'/writer's perspective. With this in mind, if you ever have a question about ELITE, the characters within ELITE, the stories as a whole (both storylines and behind the scenes scenarios), or writing in general then never hesitate to ask.

Cheers.

With that said, I do hope that I continue to pull some along for the road even though the results, characters, backstage stuff, is a little more 'fleshed out' than a normal writer's. Oh I know, I'm of a similar ilk when it comes to writing, although I don't find your writing overly verbose (which I feel is a weakness of mine - when I actually get around to writing anything) as there's a definite conciseness to it. Can such detail be overwhleming? For some, undoubtedly, but there will never be a diary on this board that is all things to all people. None the less, your level of detail and dedication to fleshing out every aspect of your story will always make for a rewarding reading experience for those who do choose to delve into it. I think I've said this to you before, but such an approach makes your personal additions to the C-Verse feel like canon... even the Déjà vu nightclub. Not only can I picture it in my head, but I can almost smell the pungent, smoke-hazed atmosphere and feel the soles of my shoes sticking to the alcohol-slicked floor when I read the shows. :p

As for the last show itself. Bah, I should have gone with my gut and picked Kahn and Kill Switch, I would have had a perfect round. As soon as you posted the card, I was intrigued to see how you'd follow through on maintaining the momentum and crux of Kill Switch and Big Cletus's character without sacrificing one. Credit to you for not taking the easier option of a non-finish... even after you discounted the possibility of DQ's, I still felt there was room for a murky non-finish of sorts. I'm sure both characters will benefit as a result, especially since Cletus's lack of ring-savvy is hardly a vulnerability that makes him any less dangerous and Kill Switch's reluctant acceptance of needing additional firepower in the form of a steel chair helps re-enforce that Cletus is an extraordinary opponent. I also loved Kill Switch's rambling conspiracy-ridden promo.

The rest of the card was more standard fare, backing up the development from the first show and again, getting your pack of workers in order. Momentum back for The Butcher, focus on putting over the bad-ass-ed-ness of Cell Block X, etc. Kahn is clearly your stand-out in the suicidal regime, so much so I thought he could progress without the belt initially but then as your first champion of a newly established division, you really need your strongest character to run with the ball. That being said, I'm not really sure where genuinely worthy competition is going to come from amongst the initial pack of opponents unless it's in the form of new blood in the long run (or Skye drops into the scene).

On Skye, I loved the introduction of Jack Griffith. I'm very interested to see where that goes next. I don't really see him as a convenient fit for the now departing Matthew Keith, so I'm assuming Griffith was inbound to ELITE before Keith opted to leave? - which still leaves you with a large void to fill given Keith's early prominence in your booking.

Finally as you proved with your closing segment, a little Shifty goes a long way (maybe that's one of his dvd titles?) - which could suggest he views ELITE very much as a plaything and doesn't really care what happens, no matter how violent it is in nature and who gets hurt. However, Shifty's bio/backstory reveals wrestling as an important part of his formative years, so despite his lifestyle, he must have some intention and emotional investment as to which direction his promotion takes. So either ELITE is already somewhere close to where he wants it to be, or he has some darker motive - and I love not yet being able to tell which. Great note of intrigue on which to end.

wow, I'm in debt to you on this one, Sebs. Very cool that you fleshed out your thoughts this far! :D As a writer, there is nothing more inspiring than seeing another really delve into your 'world' enough in which to create such a thought-out response.

I'm starting to see the image of Deja vu in my head as well; just thinking I was the only one crazy enough to actually visualize it entirely. It's quite seedy in my mind; however, the perfect home for such a company like ELITE. It's underground trendy, over-sexualized, and everything you would come to expect from the counter-culture movement in Los Angeles. Now, If only it actually existed... ha.

I struggled with how to book Kill Switch/Big Cletus; to be honest. Cletus isn't your typical monster heel as I'm not looking to GOD push him by any sense. I honestly think wins/losses don't always make a figure menacing; it's what they do, how they act, and react that makes them so. Therefore, losses don't really hurt him in my mind if they are done in a way that still makes him look dominant. Meanwhile, I didn't want to pull the title off of Kill Switch just yet as he's the best personification of what ELITE is all about (both in character and in-ring action). So, it would have been too premature to have him lose the title right after winning it.

I flirted with Cletus as Champ; however, that probably won't come for some time; after he's been fleshed out more.

Jack Griffith certainly won't be able to take over Keith's presence in the Main Event scene; as he had a story already in-line for him. However, with that said, I have a good idea of how to push the 'fallen golden boy'; one that brings him into contact with Remmy Skye. So, while he may not be 'The ELITE Standard', he will definitely bring his own 'feel' to ELITE as he embarks upon a twisted rivalry with one, Rem.

Finally as you proved with your closing segment, a little Shifty goes a long way (maybe that's one of his dvd titles?) - which could suggest he views ELITE very much as a plaything and doesn't really care what happens, no matter how violent it is in nature and who gets hurt. There is certainly a lot coming from this scenario... ;) The cliff-hanger was done in which to start the process of a hint; without going too far. However, in the end, Shifty will embark upon a storyline that will, potentially, define ELITE Pro Wrestling for years to come.
