Monday, Week 2, February 2011:

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20Locations/Sapporo1.jpg

It was cold and snowing in Hokkaido, Japan.

*Thursday's show had been an ... improvement in the most limited sense of the word. They had not repaired the damage done by the disastrous debut. But they had not done anymore damage either. Needless to say there was no parade in the Community Hall which was a shame because Yuu was particularly fond of parades.*

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/YuuOnuki.jpg

Yuu Onuki:

"Get in front of the parade."

*Sensational Ogiwara looked from the almost finalized card they had been beating into form by GAIA law and pure will.*

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/SensationalOgiwara.jpg

Sensational Ogiwara:

"What?"

*Yuu suddenly realized she had been speaking out loud again. It was a very thin line between her thoughts and that. She slipped quite often either way. She thought things she should actually be saying, and said things that had no place in the reality of oxygen and concrete. Yuu looked over as if for the very first time.*

Yuu Onuki:

"Yes?"

*Sensational thought about replying, but thought better of it. She had worked with Yuu many times, but never this closely or intensely. It was circling an opponent, yet never actually locking up with her.*

Sensational Ogiwara:

"Here's the card we worked on for tomorrow night, and some notes."

*Sensational passed the work over, stood up and stretched.*

Sensational Ogiwara:

"I'm going to go work with the triple threat again after lunch."

*That would be the third time, and that was exactly how important this Main Event was going to be. They needed it to turn this wreck around, and badly. They both knew it, so there was no more need to say it. The time for words had ended as Yuu scanned the final lines that would be again.*

Water quenches Fire:

Kuniko Matsura (Water Reign) vs. Umeko Hotta (Fire Domain)

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: We both agree Kuniko has the youth and potential to be very valuable. It is too soon to cut her loose or send her to a dark match. Her challenges will only get more difficult as she faces one of our best veterans. Umeko Hotta has a way of waking sleep walkers.

Earth absorbs Water:

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/ChiyekoKita.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/Versus_logo.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/YokoIkina.jpg

Chiyeko Kita (Earth House) vs. Yoko Ikena (Water Reign)

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: Chiyeko Kita is making the most every opportunity she is being given here. She is an important part of Earth House's success as well. But just like Kuniko, I will not take it easy on her. Yoko Ikina will be her greatest challenge to date.

Fire melts Metal:

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/HuntressMakiko.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/Versus_logo.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/YukikoMatsumara.jpg

Raku Makuda (Fire Domain)vs. Yukiko Matsumara (Metal Moiety)

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: I think this could be the match that helps up over the top. Both houses are strong and both women have looked good in the ring. Their styles match up nicely. Given enough time? They raise the standard of the evening.

-

Wood hates Space:

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/ReiChikanatsu.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/Versus_logo.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/IkukoTemko.jpg

Rei Chikanatsu (Wood Land)vs. Ikuko Temko (Space)

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: This feud between S&D and UDL is one of our strongest "lines" as you like to say. Instead of houses, this is more personal. The styles are very different, and the situation is volatile.

Dragon Assassin (Earth House) vs. Ochiyo Iijima (Water Reign) vs. Joanne Rodriguez (Fire Domain)

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: We both know Joanne is under a lot of pressure. We both know what she is capable of. We just have to surround her with the right people. Dragon Assassin is definitely her biggest threat right now, but we aren't ready for that yet. I think Ochiyo looks good here and a chance for her to shine while HEART Saitoh is busy with other things. We need this match to really connect with the fans. We need to get out of this hole.

The fire still burns

Chiyeko Kita (Earth House) vs. Yoko Ikena (Water Reign)

Good things grow from being watered

Raku Makuda (Fire Domain)vs. Yukiko Matsumara (Metal Moiety)

Good day for fire

Rei Chikanatsu (Wood Land)vs. Ikuko Temko (Space)

Space is empty, very very empty.

HEART Saitoh (Water Reign) vs. Huntress Makiko (Fire Domain)

HEART is a tsunami

Dragon Assassin (Earth House) vs. Ochiyo Iijima (Water Reign) vs. Joanne Rodriguez (Fire Domain)

If Dragon is the next to step up, a win ( with Ochiyo losing ) makes sense here.

Yes, I think so too. You are free to book one match of your choosing of people, match type, and such and then I will put it on the Earth Tour... somewhere... some day... before the tour ends.

Kuniko Matsura (Water Reign) vs. Umeko Hotta (Fire Domain)

-Going simply on the theory of Water extinguishes Fire.

Chiyeko Kita (Earth House) vs. Yoko Ikena (Water Reign)

- Earth... uh.. makes water into mud? Add Fire and we've got bricks!

Raku Makuda (Fire Domain)vs. Yukiko Matsumara (Metal Moiety)

- Fire melts metal? Also, Raku has a prettier first name. And no, I was never dumped by some one sounding vaguely like Yukiko!

Rei Chikanatsu (Wood Land)vs. Ikuko Temko (Space)

- There are NO wooden spaceships.

HEART Saitoh (Water Reign) vs. Huntress Makiko (Fire Domain)

- Uh, her name is in Caps Lock. How can she lose? Plus, she has HEART.

Dragon Assassin (Earth House) vs. Ochiyo Iijima (Water Reign) vs. Joanne Rodriguez (Fire Domain)

- Kae Bi Bo! Bo! Bo! Bo! Ro!

Tuesday, Week 2, February 2011:

“To be a queen and wear a crown is a thing more glorious to them that see it

than it is pleasant to them that bear it”

~Elizabeth I

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20Logos/GAIAlogo.jpg

*The Oracle and The Luminary make their way to the ring in full regalia as the 8-bit theme to GAIA plays. Championship belts hang across each shoulder and a fifth is carried in The Luminaries right hand. With so much leather and metal draping them, they appear like historic priestesses from another time and place.*

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/TheOracle.jpg

The Oracle (Yuu Onuki):

"Five crowns we do carry. Five heads soon will be of heavy and struggle."

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/SensationalOgiwara.jpg

The Luminary (Sensational Ogiwara):

"The Laws of GAIA remain simple. The leader of each House will be its only Champion.

If the leader is challenged from within her own house, the title will be defended.

If two leaders meet, two titles will be defended.

The first leader to secure the five titles will become the first GAIA Champion. Her house will become the first house."

The Oracle:

"And defended from within and again? It is exactly what will happen next week in this very physical of space.

Next week every leader will face the Challenge of Leadership under the snows of Hokkai-"

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/DragonAssassin.jpg

Dragon Assassin:

"Stop your vision right there, Oracle."

*Dragon Assassin's voice is soon followed by her form and that of the entire Earth House.*

Dragon Assassin:

"You may set things in motion."

*Assassin's focus shifts to The Luminary.*

Dragon Assassin:

"And this has been may hold the law."

*The heat was as immediate as the flash of anger across The Luminary's face.*

Dragon Assassin:

"But your power stops at the door of Earth House. We take care of our own affairs."

*All five members of Earth House entered the ring and faced the powerful duo.*

Dragon Assassin:

"In other words, Oracle... Nobody is challenging me for the leadership of Earth House next week."

*The members of Earth House stood behind Dragon Assassin with their arms crossed. It was obvious that they stood behind their leader 99.999%*

Dragon Assassin:

"So why don't you pass me the Earth Championship and we'll start picking the bones of the Houses that fall apart under your empty words."

*The Luminary had taken a defense position in front of the smaller Oracle. But The Oracle showed no intimidation as she raised her microphone again.*

The Oracle:

"Your house is of power and intimidation, no?

I do not need to tear it here or apart, Assassin."

*The Oracle looked at Earth House one by one.*

The Oracle:

"Power and intimidation guarantee this house will destroy itself."

*A small smile at the corner of the Oracle's lips before she continued.*

The Oracle:

"But that is simply your future. Your present is much more and interesting."

*The Oracle took the Earth Championship from her shoulder and tossed it at Dragon Assassin's feet.*

The Oracle:

"You do not wish to follow the laws. Then the laws will follow you. You do not wish to defend from within? Then the world is ready for you. Earth absorbs Water quenches Fire, three elements volatile... our Main Event tonight. But if Fire should happen to create Earth? I will give Rodriguez-san your title."

Dragon Assassin:

"What!? You can't do that!!"

*Dragon Assassin was wrong, because she had already done and did that most exactly.*

Water quenches Fire: Kuniko Matsura (Water Reign) vs. Umeko Hotta (Fire Domain)

This match was what you would expect with a talented veteran like Umeko Hotta controlling the pace and therefore the match. Kuniko Matsura finally showed a little offense, but it was far too short lived to be an actual threat to the outcome.

Official Result: In an extremely poor match, Umeko Hotta defeated Kuniko Matsura in 12:29 by pinfall with a Flying Knee Strike.

Kuniko Matsura was rusty, but that will soon go away once she's got a few more matches under her belt.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/UmekoHotta.jpg

Umeko Hotta:

"Pass the torch? Not to her of her generation.

They are not worthy and I don't think they have the talent to change that simple fact."

  • The announcing quality lifted the match.
  • The colour commentary gave the match a boost.
  • Kuniko Matsura is improving in Performance skills.

Earth absorbs Water: Chiyeko Kita (Earth House) vs. Yoko Ikena (Water Reign)

Earth House make their usual strong entrance with all of the members joining Chiyeko Kita down the ramp. Yoko isn't happy with the crowded ringside and points towards the back, but to no avail. Yoko really took her frustration out on Chiyeko early on, but kept breaking off to yell at the other members of Earth House. Never turn your back on your opponent and never break the flow of a match.

Official Result: In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Chiyeko Kita defeated Yoko Ikina in 14:54 by pinfall with a Strong Head Kick.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/ChiyekoKita.jpg

Chiyeko Kita:

"Why would we change anything?

We have it all in front of us and all we have to do is take it by force."

  • The announcing quality lifted the match.
  • The colour commentary gave the match a boost.
  • This match brought the crowd's mood down.
  • Yoko Ikina is improving in Performance skills.

Fire melts Metal: Raku Makuda (Fire Domain)vs. Yukiko Matsumara (Metal Moiety)

Raku is looking really sharp and focused in GAIA, and Yukiko looks capable of keeping pace with her early on. Yukiko tries to hit the Matsumara Cradle three different times, but Raku finds the escape. The last time she escapes into Drop Stunner that leaves Yukiko downright and in the Swanton position.

Official Result: In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Raku Makuda defeated Yukiko Matsumara in 8:40 by pinfall with a Swanton Bomb.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Raku decides she isn't done as she drags Yukiko up by the hair. Hot shot across the top rope, and Yukiko is snapped back into position holding her throat like she swallowed a boa constrictor. Raku grabs the nearest chair and climbs up top again as the referee waves her off like she is not cleared to land. Chair Drop! Yukiko is down cold as Raku is up with the chair again. But before she can do anything ridiculous to Yukiko, Angel Takudome grabs an ankle and pulls her out of the ring to safety. Raku points to the broken heap outside, breathing heavily.

Angel Takudome:

"What are you doing!?"

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/RakuMakuda.jpg

Raku Makuda:

"You are the Message, Matsumara.

I am the messenger."

Raku looks away from the Metal Moiety members.

Raku Makuda:

"Rodriguez, you are the receiver.

You do not belong here.

You can not lead.

This is not your land.

I will take that weight off your head."

Raku paused and looked into the small camera.

Raku Makuda:

"I will take that head off."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wood hates Space: Rei Chikanatsu (Wood Land)vs. Ikuko Temko (Space)

Ikuko and Rei exchange heated words that soon become fists, which is Ikuko's type of match. But Rei finally remembers she is a technical wrestler and switches gears. She begins to break down the bigger and slower Ikuko. Just when Rei is looking for the Blue Crab Surprise, Huntress Makiko appears to turn the tide.

Official Result: In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Ikuko Temko defeated Rei Chikanatsu in 15:26 by pinfall with a Temko Pendulum. During the match we also had Huntress Makiko run in and attack Chikanatsu.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/IkukoTemko.jpg

  • The announcing quality lifted the match.
  • The colour commentary gave the match a boost.
  • The Lemons vs Seek storyline has continued with this match.
  • This match brought the crowd's mood down.
  • Rei Chikanatsu is improving in Rumble skills.

Water quenches Fire: HEART Saitoh (Water Reign) vs. Huntress Makiko (Fire Domain)

Rei and Ikuko stay at ringside which keeps things going right where they left off. Huntress Makiko definitely carried herself as the veteran and at times made HEART look like she was in over her head. Things began to get ugly after the ten minute mark when Ikuko 'helped' HEART get back into the ring, ribcage first. Referee admonishes Ikuko which allows Rei to slide in under the ropes and behind Huntress. Fujin's Amazing Lemon Press! and Rei dives back out side. HEART rolls through and waits for Hunter to collect herself before she strikes again.

Official Result: In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, HEART Saitoh defeated Huntress Makiko in 14:35 by pinfall with a Flying Tiger Knee. During the match we also had Rei Chikanatsu run in and attack Makiko.

Earth absorbs Water quenches Fire: Dragon Assassin (Earth House) vs. Ochiyo Iijima (Water Reign) vs. Joanne Rodriguez (Fire Domain)

Dragon Assassin is absolutely beside herself but has a plan: pin Ochiyo Iijima. But there is one small problem, Joanne Rodriguez wants to pin Dragon Assassin as she tries to hold on to her top position in the company. The action is quick and fluid and the damages add up at the same pace. Rodriguez hit the J-Rocker on Assassin, but Ochiyo broke the count. Fire heated words didn't solve the problem so Joanne sent Ochiyo to the corner hard. Dragon Assassin recovered and blindswiped Joanne with a back suplex just as Ochiyo was rebounding. The original plan came back into play.

Official Result: In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Dragon Assassin defeated Joanne Rodriguez and Ochiyo Iijima in 11:39 when Dragon Assassin defeated Ochiyo Iijima by pinfall with a Lariat. Dragon Assassin successfully defends GAIA Earth.

GAIA seems to have finally gotten their feet under them after a very shaky start. The triple threat, main event delivered the action necessary to send people home happy. While they are not even near 5SSW's level of production, they are at least giving Joshi fans something new with their Elemental Operatic approach. It is just a matter of if the Japanese audience is ready for Elemental Opera. Time will tell.

Show Name: GAIA Earth Tour (Thursday)

Held: Thursday, Week 2, February 2011

Location: Asahikawa Community Hall (Hokkaido)

Attendance: 829

Show Rating: D+

GAIA held their secondary show on Thursday night. Attendance was up from Tuesday night. The Thurday show followed the same formula as last week, with a strong emphasis on tag team wrestling and in-ring action.

d(-_^)good!! :

Earth absorbs Water: Dragon Assassin and Gorgon defeated HEART Saitoh and Ochiyo Iijima:

Earth House continued their domination in a good match against the top two member of Water Reign. The action stayed close until the end with Ochiyo being the obvious weak link. Huntress Makiko got involved in HEART's business once again allowing Gorgon to obliterate Ochiyo off the face of GAIA with a Hydra Bomb.

(>_<) :

Metal chops Wood: Amber Allen and Ginko Kuroda defeated Connie Morris and Kinuye Mushashibo

While not entirely bad, this match couldn't be called good either. The Metal Moiety team got a nice reaction from the crowd. But the Wood Land team fell flat and had serious chemistry issues. Wood Land needed a win here and got it, though its benefits were watered down by the flat ring work.

(x_x) :

Nothing!

End of Line:

This show wasn't great by any means, but it was solid and that is exactly what GAIA needs right now.

3XComments:

DEVIL'sammich: No, what they need right now is 5SSW's roster.

LariatOhno: This entire show wouldn't even have made a good dark match in the Golden Era.

Jrockpaperscissors: When IWCs attack! Keep living in the past. GAIA is the future!

*The shows had evened out, but they were still flying very low. Both Yuu and Sensational could feel the Lizard Queen laughing at them from Kinki, Japan. It was not a pleasnat mental sound. Yuu had called every top tier talent on the planet, twice. But no one was ready to make a move to an unproven company. She couldn't blame them, women's wrestling wasn't even a sliver of what it once had been. Everyone had to take care of themselves.*

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/YuuOnuki.jpg

Yuu Onuki:

"The way of life is it not?"

*Sensational looked over at her.*

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/SensationalOgiwara.jpg

Sensational Ogiwara:

"We need to push out of Hokkaido, Yuu. We need to break in to Kanto."

Yuu Onuki:

"It is an easy thing to say. But it is an impossible thing to do without a key. I know Rodriguez-san is a good worker. But she can not carry us into Kanto."

Sensational:

"We shouldn't ask her to. This thing isn't flying high, but it isn't crashing either. So I say we move forward. We can't grow without Kanto. It's the center of all thing Puroresu."

*Yuu thought about it and, of course, Sensational was right. There was no question they had to go South. It was only a matter of when.*

Yuu Onuki:

"The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon,

but that we wait so long to begin it."

*The decision had been made and soon drifted instead to the nights card; laid out by Sensational Ogiwara once again and guided by the Laws of GAIA.*

+Connie Morris©+ vs. +Kinuye Mushashibo+

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: Metal Moiety are every bit as united as Earth House. But their leader, Connie Morris, insisted that Kinuye follow The Oracle's word and challenge Connie for the Metal Title. This match will lack the usual passion, but it should be a good and clean fight for two fan favorites.

+HEART Saitoh©+ vs. -Sakura Sada-

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: HEART Saitoh has her hand full with Seek & Destroy right now and that is a full time job. This could be the opening for Sakura Sada to make her mark in Water Reign and GAIA as a whole. This could be the upset of the night.

-Amber Allen©- vs. +Tamara McFly+

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: Wood Land is one of the most dis-organized and divided houses in GAIA. That has to fall on Amber Allen's shoulders. She is going to have more on her shoulders when she faces Tamara McFly; a far better wrestler than Amber Allen can ever hope to be.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/ChiyekoKita.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/Versus_logo.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/TsukiKawamata.jpg

-Chiyeko Kita- vs. +Tsuki Kawamata+

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: I personally like this match. Tsuki Kawata is seriously underrated in this business and I love Chiyeko Kita's passion.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/DragonAssassin.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/Versus_logo.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/OchiyoIijima.jpg

-Dragon Assassin- vs. +Ochiyo Iijima+

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: These two always deliver a good match for us. Ochiyo Iijima will have to be on her guard against the distractions that Earth House always brings to the ring.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/HuntressMakiko.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/Versus_logo.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/ReiChikanatsu.jpg

-Huntress Makiko- vs. +Rei Chikanatsu+

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: We both know what these two can do. We've seen it in 5SSW many times. This is a safe match as they both wrestle a similar style. I wouldn't be surprised if their partners get involved in this.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/JoanneRodriguez.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/Versus_logo.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/RakuMakuda.jpg

+Joanne Rodriguez©+ vs. -Raku Makuda-

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: Joanne Rodriguez has had a lot thrown on to her. But that does not excuse the fact that she has under-delivered to this point. She is in the match when we need her to carry them. Raku surprised me last week with her skills and with her words. She is the reason I put this in the Main Event.

+Connie Morris©+ vs. +Kinuye Mushashibo+

I dont see the Iron Maiden losing her place atop Metal Moiety

HEART Saitoh© vs. Sakura Sada

HEART will close the door on Sada opportunity with a Tidal Wave

Amber Allen© vs. Tamara McFly

This isn't Canada, the McFly name doesn't mean victory here.

Chiyeko Kita vs. Tsuki Kawamata

Kita uses some of that passion to rebound

Dragon Assassin vs. Ochiyo Iijima

Dragon chews up the space girl and spits her out.

Huntress Makiko vs. Rei Chikanatsu

With HEART winning, Rei loses to even the karma

Joanne Rodriguez© vs. Raku Makuda

There has to be one shocking development and this is it.

"Perceive that which cannot be seen with the eye."

~Miyamoto Musashi

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20Logos/GAIAlogo.jpg

*The tickets are sold by hand and everyone has their job to do. Yuu is the owner in name and form, yet she keeps herself quite small and to the ground. Sensational Ogiwara is the face that everyone knows and does the loving of. It is balance and it is human nature. It is GAIA the same. As a company they struggle to find their place. They struggle to break in and out the same. They struggle and that is what makes them the same as the people who pay to see...*

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/YuuOnuki.jpg

Yuu Onuki:

"The show? It is yours. It is quite of course."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

House Challenge: Metal Moiety: Connie Morris © vs Kinuye Mushashibo

Both women smiles, shake hands and the crowd applauds. This is a nice, clean match. They trade takedowns for the first couple of minutes and then stand apart. Connie, the leader of Metal Moiety, gestures for Kinuye to step it up... which she does. Kinuye shows some offense before getting reversed off an Irish Whip and caught in the Missouri Plough.

Official Result: In an extremely poor match, Connie Morris defeated Kinuye Mushashibo in 8:44 by pinfall with a Missouri Plough. Connie Morris wins the GAIA Metal title.

  • The announcing quality lifted the match.
  • The colour commentary gave the match a boost.
  • This match brought the crowd's mood down.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/ConnieMorris.jpg

Connie Morris:

"I'm glad Kinuye gave it her best out there. But I'll be happier when we are working together to make Metal Moiety the First House of GAIA."

Rating: D-

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

House Challenge: Water Reign: HEART Saitoh © vs. Sakura Sada

Sakura Sada is keeping the fast pace that HEART Siatoh sets. It looks like it is going to be a long night. Huntress Makiko comes out from the back and is an immediate distraction which Sakura uses to her advantage. Huntress gets up on the apron at the wrong time and ends up bumping heads with Sakura. HEART sees her opportunity and takes it.

Official Result: In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, HEART Saitoh defeated Sakura Sada in 8:50 by pinfall with a Flying Tiger Knee following botched interference by Huntress Makiko. HEART Saitoh wins the GAIA Water title.

  • Sakura Sada was really off her game tonight.
  • The Lemons vs Seek storyline has continued with this match.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/HEARTSaitoh.jpg

HEART Saitoh:

"This business with Seek & Destroy has always been personal. But now it is crossing the line into House business. That is line they should not be crossing. If The Oracle doesn't deal with this violation. We will."

Rating: D+

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

House Challenge: Wood Land: Amber Allen © vs. Tamara McFly

The leader of Wood Land comes down to the ring, antagonizing fans along the way. They can't understand a word she says. Tamara waits in the ring with poise. Amber gets in her face as well, asking who she thinks she is challenging her for her belt. Tamara doesn't answer. Amber fights just like she runs her mouth, angry and out of control. Tamara is the opposite and soon has control which she doesn't give back.

Official Result: In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Tamara McFly defeated Amber Allen in 8:35 by pinfall with a McFly Roll. Tamara McFly wins the GAIA Wood title.

  • Tamara McFly is improving in Technical skills.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/TamaraMcFly.jpg

Tamara McFly:

"Amber was a terrible leader. I'll try my best to be better."

Rating: C-

Earth floats in Space: Chiyeko Kita vs. Tsuki Kawata

Earth House makes its usual entrance, but Tsuki has been around long enough not to let it effect her. She keeps her focus on the young Chiyeko. The match keeps a great pace as Tsuki and Chiyeko exchange offensive flurries. Dragon Assassin barks orders from ringside. Chiyeko kicks out twice while Tsuki looks for the opening. But it's Chiyeko who finds it first.

Official Result: In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Chiyeko Kita defeated Tsuki Kawamata in 10:01 by pinfall with a Strong Head Kick.

  • Chiyeko Kita and Tsuki Kawamata have pretty good chemistry, and it lifted the match.
  • The announcing quality lifted the match.
  • The colour commentary gave the match a boost.
  • This match brought the crowd's mood down.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/ChiyekoKita.jpg

Chiyeko Kita:

"Dragon Assassin speaks for Earth House, not me. My win doesn't help Earth House in anyway. Tsuki Kawamata is meaningless."

Rating: D-

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Earth absorbs Water: Dragon Assassin vs. Ochiyo Iijima

*Ochiyo Iijima comes out fast and strong. The crowd rallies behind her which help the pace a lot. When she hits an Elevated DDT the crowd goes crazy, but it's only enough for a long 2 count. Ochiyo screams to the rafters to rally her fighting spirit one more time. But it is not meant to be as Dragon finally reverses Ochiyo's fortunes with a devastating Spine Buster. The match unfold from there into the hands of Earth House.*

Official Result: In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Dragon Assassin defeated Ochiyo Iijima in 11:42 by pinfall with a Lariat.

  • Dragon Assassin and Ochiyo Iijima have pretty good chemistry, and it lifted the match.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/DragonAssassin.jpg

Dragon Assassin:

"This match meant nothing to me. Let's talk about something important. I am going to be the first GAIA Champion. And more importantly, Earth House is going to be the First House. The Oracle says we have to unify the belts? That is exactly what we plan to do. Wood Land and Water Reign: you are the easiest and you will be first."

Rating: C-

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Huntress Makiko vs. Rei Chikanatsu

*The match is just about ready to begin when the music of GAIA plays turning the heads of both those in the ring and outside.*

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/SensationalOgiwara.jpg

The Luminary (Sensational Ogiwara):

"Referee! Do not start this match!"

*Huntress Makiko is not amused while Rei looks on in question.*

The Luminary:

"Wood feeds Fire. Fire burns Wood. It is the Cycle of Generation, not conflict. This match is unnatural and against the laws of GAIA. It cannot go on."

*Now Rei becomes upset too as Huntress shouts at The Luminary from the ring, telling her to mind her own business.*

The Luminary:

"Unless!"

*The Luminary speaks loudly to catch all attention.*

The Luminary:

"Unless we add a third House to the mix. Metal chops Wood. Fire melts Metal. I give you Angel Takudome from Metal Moiety. This match is now a triple threat match! The Laws of GAIA stand."

Fire melts Metal chops Wood: Angel Takudome vs. Huntress Makiko vs. Rei Chikanatsu

Rei and Angel look at each other then look at Huntress who realizes exactly what is going on. She holds her ground and yells at them to 'come on then'. They do that and Huntress is buried in a flurry of kicks and chops. Huntress manages to roll out of the ring and get some space. As Rei taunts Huntress, Angel surprises Rei with Blind Neckbreaker for 2.99. The match becomes a true triplt threat match which tilts things back to Makiko's favor. She lets the two younger women knock the stuffing out of each other before returning to the ring to pick up the pieces.

Official Result: In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Huntress Makiko defeated Rei Chikanatsu in 12:22 by submission with a Makiko Clutch.

The Lemons vs Seek storyline has continued with this match.

House Challenge: Fire Domain: Joanne Rodriguez vs. Raku Makuda

Raku launches herself over the ropes and into Rodriguez during her entrance and then tosses the Fire Champion into the expensive seats for good measure. Joshi Puroresu is notoriously relaxed when it comes to things like rules. Joanne seems unprepared for the kind of violence that Raku excells in as she takes a grand beating for most of the match and is cut open from the ragged abuse. Raku hits the Stunner and goes up top for the Swanton Bomb, but Joanne rolls away. Raku is too quick to her feet as snaps up into Joanne's waiting hands.

Official Result: In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Joanne Rodriguez defeated Raku Makuda in 15:17 by pinfall with a J-Rocker. Joanne Rodriguez wins the GAIA Fire title.

Raku Makuda was visibly tiring toward the end.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/JoanneRodriguez.jpg

*The story of Raku's life repeats again and again. She can not believe it is this way so many times. You can see the wheels in her mind break down as she is left sitting in the ring, alone. She sits while Joanne's music plays. She sits when the lights come up. She sits when all the eyes have finally gone home. A broken thing indeed.*

Show Name: GAIA Earth Tour (Tuesday)

Held: Thursday, Week 3, February 2011

Location: Asahikawa Community Hall (Hokkaido)

Attendance: 912

Show Rating: D+

Attendance continues to grow week by week along with DVD sales and merchandise. GAIA has crossed over from trying to start a fire to keeping one going. They are still lacking a name like DEVIL Karube or Fuyuko Higa, but they have enough talent in place to create their own. That route will just take longer.

Noodle shop: A very close race in the reading of the mind that is Yuu standings. I was surprised, no? Yes, many people thought it was going to be a Raku. Maybe it should have been, yes? I think Sensational Ogiwara would have made it happen in the way that is so. But Yuu would give the time that is little yet more. Perhaps it was again Sensational who did pull the strings of McFly. It does make sense. A veteran hand as GAIA struggles on slippery feet and some big matches coming the way which your eyes are looking... yes I think so too.

Show Name: GAIA Earth Tour (Thursday)

Held: Thursday, Week 3, February 2011

Location: Gunma Hall (Kanto)

Attendance: 40

Show Rating: D

GAIA quietly floated their B-show into Kanto and performed at the intimate Gunma Hall.

d(-_^)good!! :

The Sun Secretly Hates The Earth: Joanne Rodriguez and Tsuki Kawamata defeated Dragon Assassin and Unstoppable Tai

This wasn't a great Main Event, but the ending was shocking with J-Ro and Tsuki picking up the surprise win over the dominant Earth House. While keeping things unpredictable, little harm was done as Unstoppable Tai ate the pin and only 40 people saw Earth House stumble.

(>_<) :

GAIA Lives

Almost the entire card was rated at a D level. With the small crowd and introduction of the GAIA product to a new fan base, this must have been expected. Yuu Onuki and Sensational Ogiwara are not new to the business, so no doubt they expected a rough first year.

(x_x) :

Metal Chops Wood: Kaede Sugiyama defeated Junko Hayakawa

At 400 years old, it's mind boggling that Junko Hayakawa is still stepping in to the ring and getting paid for it. This match would rate even lower if we didn't know that 5SSW's strangle hold on Joshi contracts makes Junko viable in the year 2011. Horrible effort by both as Junko should have at least been able to carry off something passable with her years, and years and years of experience.

End of Line:

Not a bad idea to sneak in the back door of Kanto and quietly get your name out before sending in your A show. With Kanto appearing on GAIA's schedule for next Tuesday they must feel they are ready to push into the puroresu promised land.

Good luck GAIA

"I'm not a nerd,

I'm a specialist."

~Rei Chikanatsu

*GAIA had rolled into the Kanto Region with just over $25,000. If they were not careful, they would not roll out. But these were private matters of business. These were the concerns of Yuu and Sensational, not the women of the ring. Each day Yuu put on her mask of tranquility. Sensational put on her mask of peace. They did this because the tour was on egg shells of cracking white. They did this because they needed those who had signed to have their heads deep in the show they performed.*

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/YuuOnuki.jpg

"Worry? That is I and only mine to do the performing of."

*A million and one tasks in the hands of Yuu now added to by the card from Ogiwara's hand. The last show before Chi, 2011. She knew The Oracle would hold court then and the balance of GAIA would be displayed. While the balance of accounts counted the same.*

HEART Saitoh(Water Reign) vs. Ikuko Temko(Space)

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: This feud has almost reached its final point. Seek & Destroy will face Ultimate Devastator Lemons for 'The Two Cycles Titles' at 'Chi 2011'. This will be the final singles meeting.

There are no Wooden Spaceships:

Amber Allen(Wood Land) vs. Tsuki Kawamata(Space)

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: Tsuki and Joanne's surprise victory over Earth House is still hard to grasp. Amber Allen is in free fall and desperate to grasp anything at all after losing the Wood Land Title to Tamara McFly.

-

Wood parts Earth:

Tamara McFly(Wood Land) vs. Gorgon(Earth House)

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: This match could be very good as Earth House sets its sites on Wood Land. Tamara is looking good after an impressive victory over Amber Allen. Gorgon is ferocious at the side of Dragon Assassin. But how will she do in singles competition?

-

Fire melts Metal

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/UmekoHotta.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/Versus_logo.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/Ippotamus/GAIA%20People/ConnieMorris.jpg

Umeko Hotta(Fire Reign) vs. Connie Morris(Metal Moiety)

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: I really think we should use Umeko much more than we do. She is on borrowed time and has so much to pass on to the next generation. While Connie Morris is not the future, I think Umeko can push her a little farther than usual.

-

Fire eats Space:

Joanne Rodriguez(Fire Reign) vs. Etsuko Arihyoshi(Space)

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: We were lucky to get Etsuko Arihyoshi on a tour contract. She has the skill set and youth to go very far. I know you and I are both waiting for Joanne to spark. Now that she has defeated Raku and secured her position in Fire Reign, I hope she can find her pace.

Wood parts Earth

Rei Chikanatsu(Wood Land) vs. Dragon Assassin(Earth House)

Sensational Ogiwara's Notes: Rei is in the middle of her feud with Seek & Destroy. But that is only her present. Her future with us will be in singles competition eventually. Dragon Assassin has to be seen as the #1 force in GAIA right now if not its #1 star. I expect much chaos as the night closes.
