Thanks for the kind words everyone, really appreciate it. The results will be up this weekend so feel free to make predictions. The art is almost done and the write up is finished!

:)

Just a few OOC things I wanted to throw out there so everyone knows the direction I am heading and what I have done (plan to do) with the federation.

My ultimate goal is to keep what I feel is a comicbook fell to the federation while manipulating the characters to be a bit more mature and darker (ala Frank Millar and Alan Moore) while still keeping the general characteristics that make them unique. I imagine the federation being something of a 'real life' comic book from the 90s, though try to keep it family friendly.

I really want to keep a flowing story line to the federation, something more along the lines of the big comic events from the past. However, I would like to try and create a storyline with the Kayfabe stuff too. Just because, this is me trying to be honest here, I do not have the skill a lot of the other writers do when it comes to writing interesting backstage owner meetings. It comes off boring, hence my storyline seeds with the 'Youtube' incident in the first post (as well as trying to craft a back story with some of the already established characters).

While I love the comedy/zany aspect of ZEN (and Chikara) my initial plans were to take out all comedy out of the federation. The more I thought about it I like the idea of having a nice dose of interesting crazy antics. So after mulling it over I decided I am going to keep some comedy in the organization, but instead of having it a key feature I am going to modify it to be Medium at this point in time.

I made a few other changes as well, more for the overall aspect of the storyline then anything else..

Increased the starting cash available from 50,000 to 100,000, I did this to fit into the storyline that the player character actually invested into the company and to also give me a little bit of wiggle room considering I want to run a extra monthly show every now and again to help build up the popularity of the company and the workers.

Since in the storyline Halloween Knight and Marice Jackson are good friends with James Avatar I gave them a friendship. Nothing big or over the top there.

Renegotiate with everyone and gave them exclusive pay per appearance with Zen, again nothing huge (this was done in game). Did this just in case I decided to start a war or something later. Which could lead to some interesting story options as well.

Like I said nothing 'too' insane.

While I do not claim to be a master booker or writer, I can guarantee a fairly regularly updated dairy. While shows will be up once a week, mostly due to the fact I have to do the covers, there will be little posts in-between that will help flesh out the universe, characters and just make things interesting. I have looked over all the dairies lately, as well as the forums dedicated to writing, and have a fairly good idea of what to include or dismiss to keep the dairy interesting while still keeping it in line with my over all vision for the company.

Thanks for giving it a look over, whether you became interested or rolled your eyes in disgust. I appreciate it.

P.S. Also feel free to PM me with any ideas of suggestions.

This is an awesome dynasty. I'm anxiously awaiting every update...I mean, you saw how you helped start an entire ZEN: America/KANZEN Pro thread in the General Discussions forum. So I'll predict every step of the way.

Plus, I WANT THAT FREAKING T-SHIRT!

Quick Silver -vs- Maurice Jackson

By the roster preview, you're high on this ol' boy. I like him, too. Quick's decent, but he's going down!

Super Zero and Vertigo (Da Champs) -vs- Cyanide and Massacre - for the Zen Harmony Belts

Don't drop the tag belts on the first show. Unless you're me, in my USPW dynasty. Don't do that.

Shaolin -(Da Champ) -vs- X-Calibre -vs- Jester -vs- Man o War - for the title of ZEN Conceptual Champion

New guy's gonna shake the scene up with a new champion. X is the most talented of the pack. That's my guess, anyway.

Necromancer and Halloween Knight -vs- Lone Shark and Devilfish using classic Lucha Libre rules

The F.E.A.R. boys take the first main event.

Steam seems to bask the room in an ethereal haze. A single light source from an old yellow light bulb, swings from a chain overhead causing strange shadows to dance over the walls and floor. The soft rattle of the chain mixes with the sound of steam releasing from the pipes, making a twisted ballot of noises dedicated to the dark warriors that have come to plague the Zeniverse.</p><p> </p><p> Camera takes us to a shadowed corner where the Godfather of Ghouls, Halloween Knight kneels, his head bowed and his eyes on the feet of a huge man before him. It was impossible to tell who the man is, or what he looks like, as his the hood his wears cast dark shadows over his face. Behind Knight the other members of F.E.A.R are also kneeling in respect. though from the expression in some of their eyes, fear is present as well.</p><p> </p><p> 'My Master, The Dreaming is upon us again. What is your bidding.' As always the leader of F.E.A.R, Halloween Knight, speaks in a whisper.</p><p> </p><p> 'The Dreaming is a time of hope and change young acolyte. There are many obstacles that need to be taken care of. The Earth knows what we have planned and has sent her warriors to stop us.' Said the hooded figure in a deep voice that echoed throughout the room.</p><p> </p><p> 'Lone Shhharrrkk and Devilfissssshhh.' Hissed Halloween Knight.</p><p> </p><p> 'Indeed acolyte. Lone Shark, Devilfish and Man o War have been released and are close, I can sense them...'</p><p> </p><p> 'They are nothing! I will rip them apart!' screamed Massacre cutting off the hooded man as he spoke, Massacre stands up rage in his eyes, Cyanide's eyes go wide as he tries to keep holding the thick tow chain attached to the huge collar on Massacre's neck. Hoping the beast of F.E.A.R. does not let his unbridled rage get the better of him Cyanide begins to quietly urge him to sit back down.</p><p> </p><p> The shadowed man glared down at Massacre, his eyes only visible from the shadows for a moment. </p><p> </p><p> 'You need to train your dog better acolyte before he has to be put down.'</p><p> Massacre quickly fell back down to his knees at hearing this. His Eyes fell downward, though his anger and frustration was evident by his posture.</p><p> </p><p> 'The plan as always will be to feed off the fear and hatred of the masses as they watch their heroes fall. With their Chi we will be unstoppable in our mission of turning this mudball into a true Apocalyptic utopia. The Zeniverse titles will help us channel that Chi acolytes. Get them all before the night is over, however possible.' The man turns away not saying another word.</p><p> </p><p> 'Yes my master.' the four members of fear voice in unison.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Wellington Beach - Midday</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee476/genomyoshida/LoneShark_alt.jpg</span><span>http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee476/genomyoshida/Devilfish.jpg</span><span>http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee476/genomyoshida/ManOWar_alt.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Slowly he emerges, the favored son of mother earth. The one chosen to protect both the sea and land by her alone. His name is Devilfish, the Master of Mishief. The two pose, arms crossed as they look off to the horizon, knowing just over the ridge lays the Zen Temple and their destiny.</p><p> </p><p> A few citizens passing by look at the deadly duo, totally confused. They quicken their pace, occasionally looking over their shoulder at the strangely dressed men.</p><p> </p><p> 'The F.E.A.R is up to no good mate. Looks like it is time for a royal as...'</p><p> </p><p> 'Yes, I know Lone Shark. However this time we will need our brother.</p><p> </p><p> Lone Shark sighs, knowing who is talking about.</p><p> </p><p> They both look back to the ocean to see the third defender - Man O War making his way out of the ocean. Sadly his entrance is not as awe inspiring. Covered in huge chunks of seaweed he crawls to the beach. Breathing hard he stands but immediately bends over, hands on hips as he tries to take in deep breathes.</p><p> </p><p> 'By Neptune's Beard you....you guys....swim fast...' Mon O War.</p><p> </p><p> Dusting the sand from his tights he coughs and sputters a bit, trying to clear the water from his wind piper. The whole time Lone Shark and Devilfish merely stare blankly at him in silence. Finally Lone Shark looks to Devilfish and sighs again before walking off mumbling.</p><p> </p><p> 'We're screwed.'</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;"> Nursing Home - Evening</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee476/genomyoshida/CWA.jpg</span><span>http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee476/genomyoshida/Jester.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> A steady cam shot shows a line of elderly people standing next to a small Volkswagen bug. The line leads all the way back into the Nursing home. Outside the car a very anger C-W-A is seen stomping around and screaming. He stops once or twice to kick a bumper, elbow drop the fender, even going as far as to put the tail pipe in a sleeper hold. Sitting atop the car, Jester, the Hardcore Highlight reel, merely stares blankly into the sky.</p><p> </p><p> 'HOW DO THEY DO IT! IT JUST DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!' Begins C-W-A. 'THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO BE ABLE TO PUT OVER 50 PEOPLE IN THESE DAMN CARS AT THE CIRCUS!!! ARRGGHH!'</p><p> </p><p> Jester ignores the rant, gently rocking his head back and forth as he continues to watch the sky with dead, almost lifeless eyes.</p><p> </p><p> 'THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSE TO DO! WE WERE HIRED TO BRING PEOPLE TO THE TEMPLE!!'</p><p> </p><p> Jester taps the top of the car, but does nothing more, continuing to stare off.</p><p> </p><p> 'YES IT IS A CAR! YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAP THE ROOF YOU GREEN CLAD MORON! UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW WE ARE GONNA FIT ALL THESE PEOP....'</p><p> </p><p> C-W-A stops talking as he watches Jester slowly pull out an old rusted meant cleaver. C-W-A smiles and quickly breaks out in a leaping dance cackling like a mad man. Jester finally, and slowly, looks down to his friend.</p><p> </p><p> 'There is one simple way to fit them all in here........'</p><p> </p><p> Jester's eyes quickly regain their luster as he lets his soft, almost childlike, voice trail off.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">The Zen Temple Locker Room - Evening</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Camera set on a mirror, showing nothing else. Slowly a figure rises up from the bottom of the shot to reveal a huge muscled back. The camera zooms out to show a large well built figure in dark green tights. Whoever it is leans forward for a brief second and when he stands again having donned a mask of the same color as his tights. The man turns around to revealing his identity, it is none other then the Green Springboard Machine, X-Calibre.</p><p> </p><p> He begins to walk off screen but pauses and looks straight at the camera. Some much for the forth wall. He gives a wink and with a lop sided grin states.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee476/genomyoshida/xcaliber.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> <em><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><span style="color:#FF0000;">'Get ready for the ride of your life bitches.'</span></span></span></em></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:18px;">LETS GET TO THE SHOW!!!</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The show opens with huge fireworks going off around the custom built stage as the most popular band in the C-Verse plays live. Not really, a few sparklers around the door frame to the locker room are lit while a CD player set to high blasts out Master of Puppets by Metallica (because for some reason that song is at every indie show in the world). A shaky hand held camera races back and forth in front of the huge crowd of 52 fans, most of them cheering or standing. Only 54 or so fans but they are so loud in their dislike of Jackson that they almost drown out the music. Jackson waves to them, all smiles, acting totally unaware of their hatred. Total fast pace high flying action from Quick Silver. Maurice Jackson looked to be in trouble before he managed to get the upper hand by BLATANTLY giving a low blow in front of the ref (who happens to be partial blind so he did not notice). Then it was total domination from Jackson, going to the ground and pound tactics of a pure brawler. With things looking grim for Quick Silver, Maurice held in a tight headlock (rest hold), Quick Silver manages to work his way around so he was in a hand stand while Jackson struggled to keep the headlock, but to no avail. Screaming at the top of his lungs he just starts attacking whoever is closest. After that it is controlled chaos as everyone keeps to their strengths in the match. As with most matches there are nice spots where each wrestler has a chance to be in control, dominating the others before it being passed on to someone else. After a solid, if somewhat overbooked match, the ending comes when Jester, who was once again in control took Shaolin up to the top rope for a standing super-plex. However before he manages to execute the move Man-O-War jumps up behind Jester and attempts a belly to back suplex. X-Calibre sees this, races over, gets under Jester, who is still hanging on to Shaolin, and attempts a power bomb - all four moves go off at once! All men are down, but since X-Calibre took hardly any real bump from it he quickly rolls up Man-o-War 1......2.....3!</p><p> </p><p> Match Highlights: Nice Spot where Man-O-War flips over the top rope to wipe out all everyone on the outside of the ring, however, everyone catches him and throws him back into the ring. This happens twice, on the third time everyone just moves and he slams into the hard concrete floor.</p><p> </p><p> Mid Match, X-Calibre was up against the ropes when Shoalin hits a drop kick that causes X-Calibre to back flip over the top rope. X-Calibre landed on his feet and went back to the fan he kissed earlier to steal another kiss, then to everyone's surprise he walks among the crowd taking pictures with fans and signing autographs before getting back into the match.</p><p> </p><p> Shoalin hit Man-O-War with a hip toss, which Man-O-War over sold so badly X-Calibre stepped into the ring and fell down next to him, imitating his over selling, this caused Shoalin to do the same. Jester took advantage of this and hit all three with a nice cross body from the top rope.</p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote></div><p></p><p> </p><p> Sparky: NEW CHAMPION! Shoalin bows to X-Calibre and hands him the 'title', which X-Calibre 'takes' smiling, then he vanishes (goes back under the ring). Solid old school wrestling, lots of basics are shown to the fans with Devilfish ending up getting the upper hand. After this it is a standard back and forth tagging with Lone Shark. However Necromancer ends up getting in a low blow which allows a tag to Knight. The two work over Lone Shark pretty good with some double team moves, while the ref holds back Devilfish from getting in the ring (so they have more time to beat the hell out of Lone Shark - we all know the drill). After a double team spot Halloween Knight rolls Lone Shark up for the pin.</p><p> </p><p> Pin 1 Highlights: Besides the awesome solid clinic they put off the start of the match. Other really notable high spots was included a hurricanrana from Necromancer that threw Lone Shark into a waiting Halloween Knight who did a hurricanrana of his own back to Necromancer who hit a ddt. Also Halloween Knight hit a front flip piledriver, with Necromancer leaping from the top rope and hitting a leg drop - which Knight then used to get the pin.</p><p> </p><p> The second pin came quick as a celebrating Halloween Knight did not see Devilfish race into the ring behind him, who hit him with a quick small package pin for the win. A shocked Necromancer and Halloween Knight go to their corner to talk over their plan of attack. As does a recovering Lone Shark and a excited Devilfish.</p><p> </p><p> Pin 2 Highlights: Flash pinfall with a small package.</p><p> </p><p> Thankfully all four men are young and have good cardio as they go head first into a fast pace match they would make a fan of Lucha Libre shed a tear. Lots of high flying action mixed in perfectly with good technical wrestling. The heels made sure to constantly work Lone Shark's back, playing the fact they were weakening him to set up their double team finisher. Lone Shark sold it like a champ, Devilfish played the worried team mate well. When the hot tag was finally made to Devilfish he ran in and took out the other team with drop kicks and arm drags. Eventually Necromancer once again takes control, works the back of Devilfish as they did Lone Shark, things are looking grim when Devilfish manages to monkey roll to his corner, get a hot tag to Lone Shark who races in and total dominates the other team. Soon a battered Necromancer and Lone Shark are left in the ring. Necromancer starts to come back with some offense, goes for a big hay maker - Shark ducks - hits the Deep End (Stunner) and covers him 1...2.. Halloween Knight rushes in to break up the pin but Devilfish meets him halfway and they both tumble out of the ring..3!!</p><p> </p><p> Pin 3 Highlights: Lots of double team action here as well. Perhaps the best spot was not even a double team move. It was when Lone Shark tossed Halloween Knight into the ropes, Knight went to hit a hurricanrana, Lone Shark caught him by the legs, causing Knight to be in the perfect position for a pile driver, a 360 front flip pile driver in the center of the ring! Big pop for the move.</p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote></div><p></p><p> </p><p> Sparky:They won! Devilfish and Lone Shark won!</p><p> </p><p> The crowd erupts as the winners pose up on the top ring posts. Waving mockingly to Necromancer and Halloween Knight as they limp back to the locker room.</p><p> </p><p> Sparky:Hell of a match if you ask me Alex.</p><p> </p><p> A.E.E: I didn't, but, I have to agree. Those guys all had something to fight for in that match, though this time the Devilshark came out the better team. </p><p> </p><p> Sparky: It reminds me of a tim...</p><p> </p><p> Lights go off in the Zen Temple - Some strange Heavy Metal explodes over the speakers, reminiscent of Pantera - music stops a deep voice bellows..</p><p> 'The Apocalypse has arrived!!' </p><p> </p><p> Lights come back on and everyone is looking around confused.</p><p> </p><p> Sparky:What was that all about?</p><p> </p><p> A.E.E:Some kid playing with the sound system most likely.</p><p> </p><p> A hand erupts from under the ring and the giant leader of FEAR rips his way through the wooden frame and mat.</p><p> <span>http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee476/genomyoshida/YoshidaRequest_jhd.jpg</span></p><p> Lone Shark and Devilfish are caught off guard at this giant. The Apocalypse grabs Lone Shark and hits a double underhook power bomb. Devilfish tries to land some punches but they do not phase the monster. Apocalypse grabs Devilfish by the throat and lifts him off the mat, holding him in the air, instead of just going for a normal choke slam, the big man bends his knees low to the ground, jumps into the air and then slams Devilfish to the mat with a Leaping Choke Slam. The crowd looks on, not sure to make of what is happening.</p><p> </p><p> Sparky:Who is this man! <p>Sorry about the lame job on the fonts and page breaks, I am using a laptop and do not have access to photoshop due to the Mac being on the self right now, I know the fonts are terrible. Once the Mac is back up, next week, I will be able to use more interesting fonts and stylized text. </p><p> </p><p>

Kind of sleepy so ignore any of the typos or grammar mess ups , <strong>please</strong>, as I did not proof read this yet. </p><p> </p><p>

As always all the art was done by me, with the exception of the awesome renders. The pose of Lone Shark at the end was taken from a pose done by the great Dan Jurgens for the Death of Superman-artwork by me pose by him. </p><p> </p><p>

Tried to make things visual and quick when typing it up, hope it did not come across as being too cluttered or over the top.</p><p> </p><p>

Sky Kings were gonna win the match but I had a backstage incident with Vertigo, and when I tried to talk with him he blew me off, so I decided to take the belts away from him. Which does make the over all story arc seem more important now.</p><p> </p><p>

Set the seeds for a few smaller stories and fleshed out a lot of the character with personalities and 'reasons' for being around. Set some of the stars up for interesting things in the future as well.I kind of like the idea of Maurice playing the fact wrestling is fake anywhere but America while he goes off on some of the tips and tricks of the trade.</p><p> </p><p>

Thanks to jhd1 and The Celt for some of the new renders - esp. The Apocalypse render, it is awesome. </p><p> </p><p>

Have some plans for X-Calibre that came from writing this up, keep an eye on him. <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

No prediction winners this time, I understand it is hard to make pics on the first show............so everyone wins! Will post the prize tomorrow. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I thoroughly enjoyed the show it was really entertaining. I like the characterization especially of the oblivious Man o War. Some grammatical errors which made me have to reread a sentence a few times to get the point but I make the same mistakes. I usually have to read my work three or four times before i post and I still make errors. But yeah again great show.

I usually have to read my work three or four times before i post and I still make errors. But yeah again great show.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks man, appreciate it. Yeah I noticed errors as well, like I said though I did not get a chance to do a proof read, because I am just too lazy right now to be honest, been a long day. I plan to go back and clean it up tomorrow, just wanted to get it out tonight like I promised.</p><p> </p><p> Glad you like Man O War, plan to keep using him in that same role so I still have the Chikara influence in the fed. Never knew how hard it would be to actually mix dark comic styled story lines with comedy. </p><p> </p><p> Thank You for the feedback.</p><p> </p><p> Yoshi</p>

Loved the first part with the various wrestlers, you see I am not a big match write-up fan and I tend to skim them. Well you did what I love great promos! And I never skim great promos, so yeah great work on your first show.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks man, really appreciate it. I know there was some grammar eras, but I am sleepy as all heck right now, totally zoning out on the laptop and television.</p><p> </p><p> Glad you like the promos as I am more a fan of promos then matches as well (in the dynasties). I threw the first part in there as a way to introduce some characters to the people that do not normally read ZEN.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks for sticking around for the first show man. </p><p> </p><p> Yoshi</p>

<p>This is great stuff.</p><p> </p><p>

I normally resist sticking my oar in for first dynasties from new members as they tend to end quite suddenly but this has been such a brilliant start Im sure you'll stick with it. There will be a riot if you dont.</p><p> </p><p>

I loved Man o War being knackered. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
