Upsets happen in the game, and i'm pretty sure cans are dangerous competitors due to overconfidence and laziness.

Some guys destroy cans, whilst others get beaten because they take a can lightly. That's why I never play with cans unless they are truly complete dog crap.

Rav Kapur and Lefter Oktay rematched in 2002 for the BCF heavyweight title. Kapur won the first one via first round TKO, as Oktay shot in and got stuck underneath the sprawl of Kapur. The EXACT same thing happened in the rematch. I guess the Turk didn't learn that if he is going to go to the ground it needs to be later when the larger Kapur tires.

Currently playing my dynasty with PRIDE

I have never been this addicted or excited by a save (it might have something to do with the PRIDE music playing every time I am working on the thread).

I am running a Grand Prix at the end of every year and have just set up the tournament for 1998 and I feel hyped! Cannot wait to see how this event turns out!

Wow I just had to commemorate this but Hanae Maehata became a beast for seven fights winning them all by head kick knockouts after losing the first two rounds. Of course she then gets tapped out by Hope Lehane in the first round clever girl ... and then I figured out I forgot to resign Hanae crisis averted.

Nathan Chambers #6 WW in the world defeats Ichisake Miyagi #2 WW in the world in the first round by TKO at GAMMA 45. He's now the number 2 ranked WW in the world and sets of a rematch for the GAMMA WW strap against #1 P4P Julio Regueiro.

Before that great rematch happens Juilo has a LW title defence first. GAMMA 46 being headline by Julio Regueiro and he takes on the 24-0 #7 P4P in the world Sukrano! this will be the biggest fight in mma history both fighters are 24-0. Julio in particular has defeated a who's who of great fighters, subbing WW contender Rufus Stephens, Nathan Chambers and Buddy Garner. He's also dropped down to LW to beat Sean Morrison.

My Current champs are:

HW Bert Underberg

LHW Exerton Feitsoa

MW Matt Dean

WW Juilio Regueira

LW Julio Regueira

FW Manish Khan

BW Currently holding a GP to determine the champ

WFW very early stages of the division signing fighters

Manish Khan suddenly leaves Mantas Andreyev Fighting on a two-fight winning streak (!), stating that his stay was always supposed to be a short one to fine-tune some areas of his game. The short stay turned out to be six years, but maybe he will join another camp in the near future to round out his game.

First time this happens to me. Maybe it's the new patch? I just downloaded it though it came out a month ago. I haven't been playing with it much.

As you know, fighters used to stay at camps pretty much indefinitely (aside from the usual reasons for leaving like losing streaks or outgrowing the camp) even if they were just supposed to be visiting, but it looks like Adam fixed that with the last patch. Makes things a lot more interesting.

Perhaps just a minor bugfix.

Just opened up a flyweight division in my WEFF game anno 2007. Seems to be a healthy division, though some fighters really seem to dominate... in other promotions, that is. The AI is notorious for skyrocketing fighters up by continuously matching them up against cans. 9-0 fighters that accomplished not one win of note are rated high, which is understandable, but a tad bit frustrating. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

HW Dirk Jackson 11-1 just won the title from Thomaz Ribiero. He has been on a tear lately. taking out his last 4 opponents by stoppage. He's number 15 in the P4P however his first title defense will be against Jonah Carson. Carson a former super heavyweight is 17-1 and #14 P4P in the world.

LHW Raul Hughes 19-3 #5 P4P just recently made a title defense against Marlon John. His next defense has yet to be decided.

MW Matt Dean 36-6 #6 P4P defeated Stuart Strange in their rematch. It was for the second time a very poor fight. i really can't see a 3rd fight between the two ever again unless both fighters clear out the division and no other options are available. Dean's next defense will come against 18-1 Neil Napier.

WW What a mess. I set up what was the biggest fight ever in mma to date with 25-0 Julio Regueiro vs Nathan Chambers. Chambers came in overweight and the title fight was called off. Chambers went on to defeated Julio in the 4th round. Afterwards Chambers entered contract negotiations. his demands were something like 200k a fight with a 80% win bonus, 50% medical bills payed and something like 25% ppv cut. I've never had to pay more than 10% of someones medical bills, very few people have ever gotten more than 70% win bonus. As for ppv cut never ever more than 5%. even after offering all that he left negotiations without a deal. signing a less lucrative deal with J-1. Julio, has decided to fight at LW for the foreseeable future. so the title is vacate. a WW 16 man GP will decide a champion. The GP has yet to start.

LW Julio Regueiro 25-1 despite losing to Chambers is still one of the best fighters in the world despite not being ranked on the wacky P4P list. his next title defense will likely take place against Helio as management believes a Sean Morrison superfight rematch will really benefit if both fighters pick up another win before the huge rematch. LW has a plethora of top flight title challengers so this division is worth keeping an eye on.

FW the alphonse gaston division. Li-Kong Ho early in his GAMMA tenure looked to be the favourite to win the title. this was until he met Manish Khan in the finals of a tournament. Khan was than defeated 3 months later by Benny Danare who only got the title shot because other options were injured. Danare than fought Brandon Sugar, who many people thought was undeserving of a title shot. Sugar than went on to defeat Danare via split dec in what was a poor fight. Sugar's next title defense Kenji Akita. The FW has a lot of big names within it, however many just don't have a big following in the states.

BW Li-Kong Ho won the title by winning a 16 GP. he's 25-1 and has been asking to move up to FW and challenge for the title once again. With BW lacking challengers this may be an option.

WFW title- 2nd round of the women's GP is in progress as we speak.

Unsurprisingly, Manuel Silva just became the first fighter to defend his title in my tournament-based promotion, knocking out Julio Regueiro a second time. He earned the Knock Out and Submission Of The Night awards for both shows. In the same order, too.

http://i.cubeupload.com/z4S5TI.png

The Rufus Stephens fight was almost a decision loss. It had a real Silva/Sonnen vibe to it... But that's partly because they remind me of Silva and Sonnen anyway. :D

Hassan Fezzik, Zvonimir Asanovic, Matthew Dean, Sean Morrison and my Female FW champ all lost in their defending tournaments. Only Fezzik made it to the finals.

However, the second Featherweight tournament is next in the rotation, and Li-Kong Ho is the champion, so chances are good that Silva won't be the only one.

I lost my watcher save, so now I've made another one with a mod I make for personal use. It's mostly small changes that can impact the game in a big way.

- GAMMA has a small Women's division

- KDM FC and ALPHA-1 swap Lightweight champions with name value adjusted accordingly

- Li-Kong Ho is now an unemployed prospect

- ALPHA-1's HW title doesn't have an upper cap

- WEFF has slightly higher popularity

One year in, KDM FC have survived and won Fight of the Year and ME of the Year with Taniko Uchiyama vs. Hanako Shimizu, Taniko also went on to become the Female Fighter of the Year.

Fumiaki Hayashi got UD'd by Atep in his first defense.

Ho has gotten multiple Toe Hold submission wins on the local shows, but is still unemployed.

The GAMMA Women's champion at the start of the game is Piper Evergood. She lost to Honey Due who then lost to Trish Biel, the current champion.

Since there was no Ho-beating-Takeuchi to win the award, Hassan Fezzik beating Kunimichi Kikuchi won Submission of the Year.

I managed to lose a ten-year save through the stupidest means imaginable - thanks to my post-work autopilot mode, I thought for a moment that I was in TEW10 rather than WMMA3. Instead of deleting my test TEW game, I wiped countless hours of my WMMA game. Ever since then, I zip up the save files every few days, so I never have a backup more than a week old.

Mine was almost 20 years in, so I'm not very happy with it being gone. I didn't lose my save to a glitch, though, I just had to perform a system recovery on my computer. Hopefully my new game can get that far ahead.
