<p>Patience.</p><p> </p><p>

Really - because I use the WYSIWYG text editor, I can post a show in seconds. Try adding pictures to that and it can take an hour or more.</p><p> </p><p>

The best I can suggest is adding your photos to a photobucket account and saving all the links somewhere accessible, like a txt document or spreadsheet as those won't try and 'correct' any of the spelling. </p><p> </p><p>

PB is all well and good, but it can take a long time to load and it's not the most user-friendly of sites - and it's got significantly worse since I started using it.</p><p> </p><p>

That said, photos do make a dynasty look pretty.</p>

<p>Photobucket. In my case, it's set up like this:</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/photobucketdemo.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

It's sorted alphabetically by picture title. Thus, currently active title belts have no title and appear first, followed by items like show pictures/divider banners which have a '1' in front of their names, so I know when I need them I have to scroll up. Match type banners are in a subfolder - opened in a new tab when needed - and ditto PPV logos and oddball pics for the behind-the-scenes stuff.</p><p> </p><p>

Titles for actual people are set to their name in the diary, and old pictures are kept - so that they continue to show up for people reading an earlier part of the diary - but are resorted with two Zs in front of their name so they're shuffled down to the bottom where I don't need to go.</p><p> </p><p>

Hover your mouse over the image you want and something will pop up with options. Click on the words 'IMG tags' or similar, and it'll auto-copy the right code to insert the pic into a forum post; then simply Ctrl + V to paste it in where you want it.</p><p> </p><p>

Can take a while, but the end result in diaries that have it is I never have to remind myself who this renamed, rebranded grappler actually is, or who's in tag team blah.</p>

I have a Word document show template. Its the basic BB coding for the layout, along with the links to all the pics I might use for the project. Then its just a matter of copy and paste things into the right spot, add a few bits of code, and the basic show outline is ready to go. This is far far faster than the previous approaches I've used.

I then write in one-liner descriptions to remind me bookended by match specifics, for example:</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="30389" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Edd Stone constructs a life-size Aaron Andrews out of Joey Minnesota dolls, then superkicks it.<p> </p><p> Aaron Andrews vs. Stephanie Wade</p><p> Not bad. Quickie match, Andrews wins when Wade waffles him in the face to avoid Game Breaker.</p><p> Aaron Andrews defeated Stephanie Wade by DQ</p><p> Rating: B</p><p> </p><p> Remo has to choke a bitch.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> With that done, I save the document, go do other stuff for a while, then write the show a bit at a time.</p>

Eh. I just copy and paste a generic code, for example:

[.IMG]http://www.mysite.com/mypictures/WLW/.jpg[/img]

Whenever I want a picture, I just CTRL+V. Then at the end of the segment I go back and edit the names in before the .jpg since all the files I upload retain the name they have in TEW (and thus are just WrestlerName.jpg since photobucket removes the spaces automatically). I rename all my title belt pics to TitleName.jpg and other paraphenalia to easy-to-remember names, and just have at it with Ctrl+V.

I find that much easier than copying and pasting lots of different codes.

I love this thread.

Now if I decide to start a diary I wont spend just as long formatting the show as writing it

Heh, takes me 15-30 minutes to write a show. Then 2 hours to edit it (92wpm typing speed gets a lot of words on the page in a short amount of time). Then another hour or two to format and post it. The writing's the easy part (for me). :(
