I think that interference wil be in this match but I still go with Angel regardless. Elimination vs. Snaptime not sure about this one but Snaptime seems more important thanks to their alliance with Price and Stoat. Bonus question: One of the matches will see interference. Faust has a good character and solid skills... he should go places. Danny Francis vs. Leo Price Francis is talented, but he's lost to lesser workers than Price, so I figure he's slow-burning at the moment, playing the rookie who "just needs to learn one more trick to get over the hump." Or something. Adam Matravers vs. Jay B Adam's too crucial to lose to a tag guy, even with interference. Grey Angel vs. ??? Luke Cool. Luke Cool, dressed as early-80s Mick Jagger (football jersey, sweatpants, shame. Maybe a headband.) Luke Cool, who is really rethinking this whole tag team idea. Elimination vs. Snaptime Snaptime is a very gifted team that probably won't win many in 21CW, because they have no look or charisma. But they're valuable as jobbers, because they're awesome in the ring and can make anyone look good. So it makes sense to give them a couple wins to keep them semi-credible in terms of popularity and boost the matches in which they're making everyone look good. Coincidentally, not even O'Curle and Svensson can make Elimination look good. So they probably won't. Run-in: Buff showing up vs. Adam makes sense... a little too much sense. And I'm not going to put anything past Faust. But I'm going to say Rolling Johnny Stones with the run-in to aid Luke, with the added caveat that he botches it, loses Luke the match somehow, and further damages his credibility in the eyes of his partner. Unfortunately for them this galvanises Grey Angel and the champ seals the win shortly after. In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Grey Angel defeated Ripper LeStat in 6:59 by pinfall with a Full Metal Jacket. During the match we also saw Rolling Johnny Stones distract Angel, and Luke Cool also distract Angel. Of course Pitbull is clearly not a popular man at the moment and when he seems to be looking like sneaking the win Kathleen Lee and Steve Stoat make their way back to the ring. Stoat goes for Pitbull but in the confusion it’s the arch-opportunist Faust who nips in to take an undeserved, surprise pinfall. In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Jonathan Faust defeated Pit Bull Brown in 23:28 by pinfall with a Devil's Drop following interference from Kathleen Lee. During the match we also had Steve Stoat run in and attack Brown. Pitbull and Faust tore the house down with the ME which is great and angles featuring our top guys are pretty impressive now. However Grey Angel vs. Ripper. An E+? Absolutely shocking. There was a little bit of fast talking and manoeuvring to tie up some ends but I’m blaming that on 21CW. I would like to go with Stoat but my brain tells me tha Brown is going to get more from a win. Business Jones vs. Danny Francis If this is going to be a feud then it makes more sense to me to Francis get the forst win. All in all this is an extremely close match that’s decided just by a sneaky leg on a rope in favour of Stoat. Pitbull goes mad but he ref lets the decision stand. In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Rolling Johnny Stones defeated Grey Angel in a Cage Modern match in 10:08 when Rolling Johnny Stones escaped the cage after Grey Angel had been distracted by Luke Cool. The two men here launch a dazzling array of moves at each other and it seems almost as if no attack or hold is used more than once as the match goes back and forth around the cage. Several times it seems like both men have won it but neither attempt to go for the (potentially easier) option of escape. Dunton Hall spends the whole match outside the ring but he doesn’t get involved really. The Genius is far too smart for that. He just waits and watches until Eddie finally starts to look like he might end this once and for all when Hall makes a gesture and the third member of this new group makes his appearance. A giant man in a suit that looks like it’s been stuffed with bowling balls sprints down to the cage and enters it. They know each other intimately and both men seem to be anticipating each other’s attacks magically. Joss is a bit younger and is the better athlete but Leo has had the finest trainers money can buy and is more cunning (not to say dirty). It’s the longest match of the year as both men try increasingly desperate strategies to surprise their opponent and enthralling stuff throughout with the fans on the edge of their seats. Fortunately for him though a long match plays into Joss’s hands and his stamina comes to the fore as both men seem exhausted by the titanic battle. Joss finally seals the win by locking in a camel clutch. In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Joss Thompson defeated Leo Price in a Cage Modern match in 34:33 by submission. Joss Thompson makes defence number 1 of his 21st Century World title. Personally I think that the list of diaries of the kind I like (non-TCW, SWF & USPW c-verse) is the strongest it’s been since I’ve been on these boards so it’s nice to even be included. We had a few changes at SCC and the biggest is that of Faust’s announcement of his new stable The Startup with Dunton Hall and (Hercules) Johansson. This is going to be a bit of an interactive stable (hopefully!) as their company will be publicly owned. Every month will see a new ‘owner’ who will be able to specify certain actions the stable will take. Who knows if it will work? He beat Leo Price fair and square but The takeover are unlikely to leave it at that. On the other hand Faust and The Start-up are looking to be legitimate challengers too. Will Joss’ few allies be able to stand up the weight of numbers? Adam Matravers has declared his intention to go after the tag belts as the first step in winning every single title in21CW. Who has he recruited as his partner? Business Jones was at his vicious best against Danny Francis but the South Londoner isn’t the type to give up. How will he get back at Business? The Night Terrors are still desperate for brains. The missed out on tag titles but they’re still hungry… Rolling Johnny Stones will be celebrating his UK title with Luke Cool. That party may not stop in time for February. Will grey Angel get revenge? Will someone else think they can take it off Stones whilst he’s hungover? The National School of Wrestling has yet to produce any workers of note but rumours say Jeff Nova has spent a lot of time there recently. Has he got his eye on any of the students?
