The TEW 2013 Conundrum

Pro-Wresting Festival won't be up until next week sometime, perhaps even next weekend. I'll fully admit that my focus hasn't been 100 per cent on this- apart from the usual distraction's anime/wrestling.....there's also some minor thing called the Olympics going on in my home country. :p

Isn't that like the World Cup, but for lesser sports?;)

On the other hand I think out of any diary I have written, this is the story I have enjoyed telling the most, with the characters being the most fun to write for..... I feel this is my strongest writing yet and it would be ashame to end it out now.

I see phrases above like ' most fun', 'enjoyed [writing] the most' and 'my strongest writing'. So, keep going until the above is no longer true.

I enjoy this diary and would like to see it continue, but I'm in no position to judge anyone for ending a diary abruptly. My opinion is to keep doing it as long as you're enjoying it. Don't worry too much about what other people think or what star rating the thread has as long as you're happy with it.

I agree with Tiberious4 here. You should write this only as long as you like/enjoy doing so and not really care what other say. That said I will read this one as long as it continues. :)

After assesssing things I'm going to at least carry this on until the end of the current tour (so that would be 8 more regular shows + another PPV)...Though I've not run those shows yet, I do have in mind what I'm leading to with the 3rd PPV.

I guess the TEW 2013 announcement just kind of threw me a bit, and made me think how much shelf life do I have left with this.....but taking everything into account, I am still enjoying writing this and I wouldn't be satisfied ending it at this stage.

I suppose the other things is, I agree with the 'as long as you still enjoy' sentiment, but there is always going to be an element of are still people interested/reading this with any writer who puts their work into a public domain. That's not the issue here now, I know there is enough of a readership right now, enjoying this as much as I am enjoying telling this story but down the line when TEW 2013 comes out.....is the interest still going to be there both from me and the readership?

I guess I'm just going to have to deal with that when the time comes- for now I carry on delivering the best I can with this diary. And though I hadn't lost passion for this diary, I do feel re-motivated and more focused and my aim is to get the PPV done and posted by the middle of the week.

With your writing style and ability TK, I don't think you have to worry about whether people will still be interested in reading what you have to offer. If you wrote about "3000 ways to fillet a fish", I don't doubt you would still carry an audience. :p

I still check into the diary on a regular basis but haven't been predicting that often. (In fact I haven't really been predicting in any diray recently due to the L-Verse).

I'm glad to hear that you will be continuing this, even if it is just for a handful of shows. :)

I'm with LoNdOn - you've done an excellent job imagining DIASPORA and it's great to see you carry on. I can understand your initial hesitation, but it's nice to see this continue all the same.

Keep up the good work TK! :)

<p>I hope you do continue TK. I should really chip in with feedback more often, but as with a lot of diaries, I tend to be catching up a lot of the time, so don't end up posting a great deal in many of the diaries I follow. It still amazes me how much I'm captivated by your write-ups though, because usually such a match-centric approach to shows would have me skimming far more. It was your PGHW diary that actually got me to take a long-overdue look at Japan in the C-Verse.</p><p> </p><p>

As for TEW 2013. I've got a jhdverse diary in the works and once I saw the announcement, I briefly had second thoughts/doubts on whether to hold off, but the story and the game are there for me now, I've no idea I'll feel the same next year. Plus I imagine it'll be a fairly straight-forward port across to the new TEW so if I'm still going with my diary by then, I'd just convert it over when convenient and recreate where I am in the game.</p><p> </p><p>

The new C-Verse will probably be tempting, but in all honesty, it's probably best to avoid the post-release bombardment of new diaries that always follow. I think last time out there were something like 20 TCW diaries running within the first few days. If you wrap up a tour ahead of time or reach a good cut-off point, you can always dabble and then return to DIASPORA if needed.</p><p> </p><p>

As for the star-system, it's always been worthless. It seems almost anything with any sort of longetivity or following has a 3 or 4 star rating.</p>

<p>Thanks to for the encouraging words- as I said though the issue was never about using passion for this project...it's still encouraging to see that support. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Sebsplex, you make a great point about not necessarily wanting to join the initial rush of diaries for TEW2013- I still feel I have plenty of story to tell here. </p><p> </p><p>

Anyway the show is nearly finished- but I'm going to take the decision to post it up in two parts......That's because the final three matches are looooong (especially the last match- just warning you all!).....so I'm going to post the 'undercard' first and then the main events will be posted sometime tomorrow.</p>

This pre-show match saw Mitsubishi become isolated in the corner of Kotara and Hirasi, but the unaffiliated pair were unable to put Mitsubishi away, with 'Fist of Granite' toughing it out through Hirasi's attempt to make him tap out to the Ankle Lock. </p><p> </p><p>

Mitsubishi then nailed Kotara with the Power Punch, but was too worn down to follow up with cover, but it was enough to get Ebisawa into the match. Dark Wolf II's mystery opponent turns out to be a wrestler that has been causing a stir in the Lethal Promotion 'Sexy Zone' Junichi Matsuo. 'Sexy Zone' is accompanied to the ring by four Bishojo girls- it looks like they are set to 'treat' the fans to dance routine but Dark Wolf II has other idea's and jumps the DIASPORA debutant on the entrance ramp.... </p><p> </p><p>

The 'Howling Menace' assaults Matsuo out on the floor, whipping 'Sexy Zone' into the ring-steps, as Matsuo's accomplices skatter from harms way. Wolf then pitches Matsuo into the ring as the bell sounds to officially start the match.</p><p> </p><p>

It's all the Kuro man in the early going, but Matsuo manages to survive Wolf's basic offence at this stage of the match of stomps, bodyslams and clotheslines. The 'Howling Menace' feeling he needs to step it up a gear, then sets up for a German Suplex but Matsuo comes to life forcing a standing switch. Wolf however fights off a German attempt from Matsuo and it ends in stalemate. Wolf soon re-takes full control with a relentless barrage of fore-arms before whipping 'Sexy Zone' into the corner. </p><p> </p><p>

Wolf comes charging in, but Matsuo manages to move out of the way at the last split second and stuns Wolf with a spin kick and then a drop-kick in the corner. Wolf slumps to the mat, leading to Matsuo going to the opposite corner and nailing the 'Howling Menace' with a corner cannoball splash. </p><p> </p><p>

Matsuo goes up top, but Wolf manages to rise back to his feet and prevent Matsuo from taking flight, 'Sexy Zone' however manages to fend off a superplex attempt from Wolf and nails the 'Howling Menace' with a springboard spinning heel-kick. Matsuo then built more momentum with a leg-sweep/Dropsault combination for a two count. Before setting Wolf up for the<strong> J-Pop Powerplex</strong> (Twisting Falcon Arrow) but the 'Howling Menace' managed to fight off the attempt and countered into a German suplex.</p><p> </p><p>

Matsuo managed to kick out but Wolf had managed to seize back the momentum, and after planting Matsuo with a scoop-slam headed up top......'Sexy Zone' however was able to move out of harms way when the 'Howling Menace' went for the <strong>Wolf's Rain</strong> (Diving Elbow Drop) and then nailed Wolf with an axe-kick, before following up with a wheelbarrow facebuster for a close two count.</p><p> </p><p>

Matsuo once again decided to go up top and he came crashing down upon Wolf with the <strong>Heavy Rotation</strong> (450 Senton).........</p><p> </p><p>

Wolf just about managed to reach a foot onto the bottom rope to deny Matsuo victory. 'Sexy Zone' then looked to set up for the<strong> J-Pop Powerplex</strong> again, but just like before Wolf managed to find a way to fend off the attempt. The 'Howling Menace' then blocked a spin-kick from Matsuo and levelled 'Sexy Zone' with a lariat........ Wolf then planted Matsuo with the <strong>Howling Fury</strong> Slingshot Powerbomb......</p><p> </p><p>

Dark Wolf II had managed to deny Junichi Matsuo a debut victory, but the match could have quite easily have gone the way of 'Sexy Zone' with ring positioning coming to Wolf's rescue when Matsuo landed the Heavy Rotation. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Result: Dark Wolf II [w] bt Junichi Matsuo [L] in 9:46 via pinfall (Wolf's Call)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

I think you can tell by the result that Matsuo isn't going to be an instant contender and though he's not an essential pick-up, I still think he'll be a good addition to the roster- besides we can now supply some Bishonen Fanservice for the girls that our attend our shows. </span></p><p> </p><p>

After Junichi Matsuo's failure to produce his own dance routine, MOE! MONEY! attempt to provide one of their own, but The Forgotten are in no mood for such frolics and soon lay into DIASPORA's odd couple.</p><p> </p><p>

MOE! MONEY! however fire right back and soon seize control to plant Hidaka with their signature double team suplex</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcToIRigN4P1FAXEIrCNUVxW6w0eTBjHoekEZqItcH46jKqNs6qa</span><p>

<span>http://www.giantrobot.com/wp-media-uploads/yen-dollar.jpeg</span></p><p>

<strong>MONEY!</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Kasuse then attacks Meido from behind, but is then sent out of the ring with a clothesline from HUSTLE. MOE! MONEY! then 'celebrate' being in complete control by putting together a random dance routine, that includes a spinneroonie from HUSTLE.</p><p> </p><p>

But their lack of focus in getting on with the serious business of wrestling, costs them as both of The Forgotten recover and managed to get in cheap-shots on their bizarre opponents, leading to Hidaka almost nabbing victory with a roll-up following a low blow. Meanwhile Kasuse took Meido out to the floor and sneaked in a chairshot before planting the 'World's Most Dangerous Otaku's face into the ring-steps.</p><p> </p><p>

The Forgotten then worked over HUSTLE back in the ring, combining to plant the 'Ducker Diver' with a suplex/flying crossbody combo for a close two count. Kasuse then sets HUSTLE up for the <strong>Roll With It (</strong>Rolling Cutter) but HUSTLE manages to block the attempt and counters with a Uranage slam. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQOZd-42PaUonV3-nESFrGN9YGJN6uo2fPR35mJ48IEeRS0-q0F</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

HUSTLE then spurred on by the lure of a chocolate parfait, 'Thunders Up' and takes down both of The Forgotten with a flurry of lariats, before getting the tag out to Meido Machine. The 'World's Most Dangerous Otaku' drop-kicks Kasuse out of the ring and then takes down Hidaka with a Japanese Arm Drag, before transitioning into the <strong>Nyan-Lock</strong> (Keylock).....</p><p> </p><p>

Hidaka looks to be ready to tap out but Kasuse comes to the rescue and plants Meido with the Roll <strong>With It</strong> (Rolling Cutter).....</p><p> </p><p>

Meido manages to kick out of that, and Kasuse heads up top to set up for <strong>All About Yen</strong> (Diving Legdrop) but Meido manages to get to his feet and throws up the heart symbol.....</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--S4OHbdOYlk/TmMnZwrphpI/AAAAAAAAALA/XeVhZyHrVOc/s1600/mio_maid_moe_moe_kyun.jpg.jpeg" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--S4OHbdOYlk/TmMnZwrphpI/AAAAAAAAALA/XeVhZyHrVOc/s320/mio_maid_moe_moe_kyun.jpg.jpeg</span></a></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Kasuse is left frozen on the top turbuckle by the Moe Heart Stop, and Meido gets the tag out to HUSTLE Umiro....who sends Kasuse crashing back in with superplex. HUSTLE then immediately tag Meido back in, who climbs up top and after screaming<strong><span style="color:#9932CC;"> 'M M MEIDO BEAAAMMM!</span></strong>' nailed Kasuse with his signature missile drop-kick.</p><p> </p><p>

But the momentum of the kick caused Kasuse to collide with referee Ochida.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_HunterWolfe_alt1.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

All of a sudden out-comes Hunter Wolfe in his Fuku Machine get up.....he rushes the ring and delivers a lariat to Meido Machine! He offers a handshake to Hideaki Kasuse who is just getting to his feet but of all a sudden pulls Kasuse in to deliver an X-Ploder! </p><p> </p><p>

Before walking back up the entrance ramp</p><p> </p><p>

The announce team of Kogara and Saga are left bemused at to just whose side Wolfe/Fuku is on, or if he even knows himself! </p><p> </p><p>

As referee Ochida returns to his senses it's between HUSTLE and Hidaka. Hidaka takes control with a leg lariat and then set up for a Brainbuster but HUSTLE manages to block the attempt and then counters into the <strong>Out-Hustled</strong> (Backslide Pin)</p><p> </p><p>

One......</p><p> </p><p>

Two.....</p><p> </p><p>

Three! </p><p> </p><p>

The Out-Hustled is just enough for MOE! MONEY! to earn victory and leave The Forgotten extremely frustrated. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Result: Meido Machine & HUSTLE Umiro [w] bt Kohei Hidaka [L} & Hideaki Kasuse in 9:15 via pinfall (Out-Hustled)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><strong>Takayuki Balls:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> An entertaining but disjointed match....the entertaining part was MOE! The opening few minutes is evenly matched between both teams with neither side really taking the advantage. The breakthrough comes for ShimiKuma, when Inokuma fights his way out of a Fireman's Carry from Takashi, and then plants 'Nippon Hart' with the <strong>Sea-Change (</strong>Spinning Sideslam).....</p><p> </p><p>

That only gets a two count as Arato makes the save, but then 'Strong Dreamer' is nailed by a <strong>Chin-Marker</strong> (Jumping Knee) from Shimizudani who rushes out of the corner. Inokuma then slapped the <strong>Python Vise</strong> (Anaconda Vise) on Takashi but 'Nippon Hart' showed great fighting spirit to make it the ropes. </p><p> </p><p>

Inokuma turned it over to Shimizudani, who planted Takashi with a Belly to Belly Suplex but that could still only get a two count. 'S-Pulse' then went to nail Takashi with the <strong>Chin-Marker</strong> (Jumping Knee) but 'Nippon Hart' managed to move out of the way Shimizudani ended up erroneously nailing Inokuma instead. Takashi then planted 'S-Pulse' with a <strong>Headless Ride</strong> (Running Neckbreaker)......</p><p> </p><p>

That lead to Takashi get the tag out to a fresh and fired up Koto Arato who levelled Shimizudani with an <strong>Arato-Lariat.....</strong></p><p> </p><p>

'S-Pulse' showed fighting spirit by kicking out at two and then showed it again by surviving an impressive <strong>Gotch Suplex</strong> (Dead Lift German) from Arato, however 'Strong Dreamer' was not rattled and he soon had Shimizudani locked in the <strong>Dreamland</strong> (Rear Naked Choke).....</p><p> </p><p>

Inokuma rolled into the ring as if to make the save, but then rolled back out again, leaving Shimizudani to fend for himself......'S-Pulse's' energy was fading fast and in the end referee Ochida saw no other choice but to call for the bell. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Result: Koto Arato [w] & Go Takashi bt Aki Shimizudani [L] & Horiuchi Inokuma in 10:03 via submission (Dreamland)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

These two teams really don't like each other at all, so it comes as no surprise that their match starts with the two teams engaging each other on the entrance ramp and proceeding to brawl. The Salty Delinquents were probably more hoping to get a sneaky jump on their opponents but New Solution were ready for such tactics. </p><p> </p><p>

They brawl into the ring and the bell rings to officially begin the match, with New Solution on to.....they do stereo whips into the corner and then nail the Delinquents with stereo corner drop-kicks. </p><p> </p><p>

Blood Spider Jr manages to bail from the ring, but Terajima is not so fortunate and he is planted with a German Suplex from Yamato for a two count. That leads to the Cloaked Assassin finding himself isolated in the New Solution corner, where he finds himself subjected to a running bulldog combo followed by a basement drop-kick and then a snap suplex (Hideki) followed by a diving knee-drop (Yamato) for a series of two counts.</p><p> </p><p>

Hideki then began to set up Terajima for the <strong>Final Base</strong> (Half Nelson Lifted Wheelbarrow Driver) but Blood Spider Jr hopped on the apron and in desperation spew poison mist towards Hideki.....'Integral Prowess' managed to duck the mist, but referee Sugmiura wasn't so lucky and he went down clutching his face like an overdramatic footballer. </p><p> </p><p>

Hideki who had lost focus, was suddenly caught with a victory roll from Terajima, but that counted for nothing as referee Sugimura was too 'blind' at that point in time to even make the count. Meanwhile Dark Wolf was at ringside to support the Delinquents and he attacked Yamato from behind on the apron, before powerbombing 'Pin Point' out on the floor. </p><p> </p><p>

With referee Sugimura still down Wolf, joined the Deliquents in triple teaming Hideki.......whipping 'Integral Prowess' into the corner and then taking turns to charge into the corner. Hideki then staggered out and was nailed with a Black Box Shot from Terajima. </p><p> </p><p>

Referee Sugimura began to stir again and crawled across to count Terajima's subsequent pin attempt......</p><p> </p><p>

Hideki wasn't going to go down that easily! A frustrated Terajima then paced around and then decided to set up for the <strong>Eastern Misery</strong> (Forward Russian Legsweep) but Hideki was able to block the attempt and countered with a High Angle Belly to Back Suplex before collapsing to the mat, with only the thought of tagging out on his mind.....</p><p> </p><p>

But when he got to the corner Yamato still wasn't ready to make the tag, and Blood Spider Jr who had just been tagged in by Terajima, managed to drag Hideki back to the Delinquents corner. </p><p> </p><p>

'The New Nightmare' then set up for the <strong>Lethal Bite</strong> (Double Underhook Piledriver) but Hideki was able to block the attempt and countered with a back body drop, only for Terajima to plant Hideki with the <strong>Cloak and Dagger</strong> (Flying Neckbreaker).......</p><p> </p><p>

Blood Spider Jr then headed up top and came crashing down upon Hideki with the<strong> Blood Drop</strong> (Senton Bomb) ........</p><p> </p><p>

Yamato is dispatched from the ring by the Delinquents and then Blood Spider Jr puts his body on the line by soaring through the ropes with a tope con hilo to crash into 'Pin Point'.....</p><p> </p><p>

Meanwhile back in the ring Terajima sets the still dazed Hideki up for the <strong>Eastern Misery</strong> (Forward Russian Leg-Sweep) but as he was able to previously, Hideki was able to block the move before countering into a <strong>Shiranui</strong> (Backflip Inverted DDT)......</p><p> </p><p>

Blood Spider Jr made the save and then tried to go for the <strong>Poison Mist</strong>, only for Hideki to immediately respond with a superkick but then Terajima managed to sneak in a Black Box shot, and then plant Hideki with the <strong>Soh The Seeds of Tera</strong> (Forward Somersault Jawbreaker)</p><p> </p><p>

Terajima however managed to halt a rally from Yamato with a knee lift and then a DDT......</p><p> </p><p>

'The Cloaked Assasin' went for the cover on Yamato, but referee Sugmiura waved it off as Yamato was not the legal man, and when Terajima turned his attention back to Hideki he was nailed with a<strong> superkick!</strong> </p><p> </p><p>

Blood Spider Jr then entered to make the save but was intercepted by Yamato, who planted the 'New Nightmare' with a <strong>Gurren MK II Driver</strong> (Sitout Side Driver)..... Hideki then dragged the dazed Terajima over to the fallen form of Blood Spider as Yamato headed up top......</p><p> </p><p>

'Pin Point' then nailed Terajima with a drop-kick, before crashing down upon Blood Spider Jr with a Senton.</p><p> </p><p>

With Blood Spider taken out, Yamato then applied a waistlock to Terajima as Hideki lined up for the superkick.....</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><strong>Takayuki Balls:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> Whilst these four will cross path's again at some point in the future, this will probably bring closure to the current feud. The problem with the feud is that it was too one-sided, due to New Solution being former Junior Tag champions and occupying an upper-mid spot and the Salty Delinquents being glorified jobbers and despite dominating the feud it probably brought New Solution more down to the Delinquents level, rather than elevate their opponents. I don't regret putting the feud together though, you learn more from your failures than you do from your successes. </span></p><p> </p><p>

These two teams fought to a double count-out stale mate at Neon Genesis Evolution so No DQ, No Count Out rules have been put in place for this rematch.</p><p> </p><p>

As soon as the bell rings the two teams charge at one another, the defending champions dynamic energy giving them an equalizer against their considerably heavier opponents. Date and Yamawaki rock the Udon Noodle Killers with stereo drop-kicks and then continue the momentum by taking the UNK down with stereo chop-blocks. </p><p> </p><p>

Both Date and Yamawaki then head up top, and then go for stereo flying clotheslines but they got a bit too overexcited with the start that they made, and the UNK both managed to rise to their feet catch Date and Yamawaki in mid-air and plant the S.H.I.P pair with stereo side-slams. </p><p> </p><p>

GUSHIKEN & Ono then proceeded to stomp away on their opponents, before tossing the defendin champions out to the floor. The super heavy duo then lumber out to the floor, but are met with some resistance from Date and Yamawaki who begin to take the fight right back to their opponents, but an eye-rake from Ono on Date and a knee into the groin from GUSHIKEN on Yamawaki, leads to stereo scoop-slams onto the ring-steps that put the UNK back in control. </p><p> </p><p>

GUSHIKEN & Ono then lay in several chairshots to their opponents before tossing a few chairs into the ring. GUSHIKEN whips Yamawaki into the barricade, as Ono pitches Date back into the ring and then scoop slams Date onto a chair.</p><p> </p><p>

That gets a two count, meanwhile GUSHIKEN produces a table out from under the ring, but is suddenly nailed with a roundhouse kick from Yamawaki.....GUSHIKEN just shakes it off however and nails 'Fearless' with a <strong>GUSHIKEN Smash</strong> (Charging Elbow Smash).....</p><p> </p><p>

Meanwhile back in the ring, Ono stomps away on Date and then lodges a chair in one of the middle turnbuckles, Ono whips Date hard into the corner, and then comes charging with with a corner splash.</p><p> </p><p>

Somehow Date has enough left in the tank to reach a foot onto the ropes and save the titles for the Tokyo Wrecking Crew. The Udon Noodle Killers are still in total control though, and GUSHIKEN helps Ono set the table up in the ring, before placing Date onto the table.</p><p> </p><p>

Ono then goes for the<strong> Tsunami (</strong>Big Splash) off the second turbuckle, onto the table!!!</p><p> </p><p>

But 'Epic Tsunami' crashes and burns as Date moves out of the way at the last split second. Yamawaki then re-announces his arrival back into the match, rocking GUSHIKEN with a slingshot <strong>Fearless </strong>(Flying Clothesline).....</p><p> </p><p>

'Great Thunder' stays on his feet but is then pole-axed with a spear/drop-kick combo from the defending champions......</p><p> </p><p>

GUSHIKEN manages to kick out but is then turned over into the<strong> Date With Pain </strong>(Elevated Boston Crab).</p><p> </p><p>

'Stampeding Bull' has the hold locked on right in the middle of the ring and Ono still hasn't recovered from crashing through the table. But to the defending champions and the crowds disappointment GUSHIKEN managed to use his size and strength to power his way out of the submission hold. </p><p> </p><p>

Ono begins to stir, but is met with a double drop-kick from the Tokyo Wrecking Crew, only for recovering GUSHIKEN to send both of the defending champions over the top-rope and back out to the floor, with a double clothesline.</p><p> </p><p>

It's at that point, the match just completely breaks down and all four men begin to brawl amongst the crowd. The UNK clearly have the size and power advantage but the defending champions are countering that with fighting spirit and better stamina....what that translated into was that the Kuro-Nadeshiko pair were hitting harder but were getting less shots in. And a worn-out Ono is literallty speared through the entrance by Hiro Date. </p><p> </p><p>

Date then went out to help out Yamawaki deal with GUSHIKEN. The defending champions managed to push 'Great Thunder' back into the ring, and then set up for a double team suplex but GUSHIKEN was proving difficult to get off his feet and he tried to counter into a double suplex but the TWC held firm themselves and got 'Great Thunder' over on their second attempt. </p><p> </p><p>

Date went for the cover......</p><p> </p><p>

GUSHIKEN kicked out but remained rooted to the mat, where the defending champions proceeded to cover 'Great Thunder' in a pile of chairs. Yamawaki then headed up top ......</p><p> </p><p>

But unfortunatelty for Yamawaki, Ono had now recovered and he nailed 'Fearless' with a kendo-stick...... Ono then got in a series of Kendo stick shots on both Yamawaki and Date.....</p><p> </p><p>

Both whom were busted open by the relentless barrage from 'Epic Tsunami' .....</p><p> </p><p>

GUSHIKEN stirred back to his feet and then proceeded to drive Date into the pile of chairs with a <strong>GUSHIKEN Firebomb</strong> (Thunder Fire Powerbomb)........</p><p> </p><p>

The Tokyo Wrecking Crew gave it all they had to retain the All Asia Tag belts, but they had bitten off more than they can chew by agreeing to take on the Udon Noodle Killers in a No DQ match- something that clearly played into the advantage of the Kuro-Nadeshiko pair.</p><p> </p><p>

The newly crowned champions, rip the titles out of the hands of the dignatory who was about to hand the belts to them, and just walk up the entrance ramp, disrespectfully dragging the belts along the floor.</p><p> </p><p>

Before the bell rings both teams stare each other down, the determination etched on their faces..... Well you're just going to have to guess that's the case because all four men wear a mask. But hidden faces or not, you could just tell, these two teams really don't like each other.</p><p> </p><p>

Talisman and Incognito start things off, and they engage in some evenly matched chain wrestling, until Incognito resorts to an eye poke, but Talisman 'no sells' it and almost catches Incognito with a La Magistral Cradle. Incognito kicks out but then back-peddles to get the tag into Tian Long. </p><p> </p><p>

Talisman outmanoevres the 'Imperial One' nailing Long with a drop-kick that sends the veteran to the floor. Talisman then look to line up for a somersault plancha but then put the brakes on when he saw Long move from harms way, before tagging out to Zodiac. </p><p> </p><p>

Zodiac lets Long get back into the ring, and they lock-up with 'Innovations God' a step ahead. Zodiac gets a waist lock on Long and plants the 'Imperial One' with a<strong> Beetle Suplex</strong>. </p><p> </p><p>

That gets a two count and Zodiac tags Talisman back in, 'the Second Coming' who nails Long with a springboard leg-lariat, but just as he is building up more momentum he is tripped up from the apron by Incognito. That gives Long time to recover and nail Talisman with a knee-lift, before planting the 'Second Coming' with a Choke-slam for a two count.</p><p> </p><p>

IMPERIOUS then proceed to work over Talisman in their corner, a neckbreaker/crossbody combo from the Kuro pair brings another two count, before Long decides to apply the <strong>Dynasty Lock </strong>(Inverted STF) whilst Incognito charges out of the corner to get a cheap shot in on Zodiac. </p><p> </p><p>

Talisman shows plenty of fighting spirit by battling his way to the ropes, but he is clearly worn down and he is unable to avoid being dumped with a <strong>Dragon Suplex</strong> from the 'Imperial One'......</p><p> </p><p>

The 'Second Coming' still manages to dig down deep though and kicks out at two. A frustrated Long stomps away on Talisman before tagging Incognito back in. 'El Pesadilla Hermosa' gets a few stomps in himself before going up top and soaring off with a Moonsault.....</p><p> </p><p>

But Talisman manages to move out of the way at the last split second and then nails Incognito with an overhead kick. The 'Second Coming' then looks to tag out to Zodiac, but Tian Long had somehow managed to sneak round and cheap shot 'Innovations God' on the apron.</p><p> </p><p>

Incognito still the fresher man managed to recover and then after nailing Talisman with a Spinning Heel Kick, whips the 'Second Coming' into the corner. Incognito then went for a handspring back elbow......</p><p> </p><p>

But Talisman managed to slip out of the way and then stun 'El Pesadilla Hermosa' with an Enziguri....before drilling Incognito with a slingshot DDT. Despite that buying Talisman some breathing room, Incognito was still in a better position to tag out and he was able to do that before Talisman could reach Zodiac.</p><p> </p><p>

Tian Long clubbed Talisman from behind and looked to set up for a Chokeslam, but the 'Second Coming' managed to fight out of it. The 'Imperial One' then tried for the <strong>Dragon Suplex</strong>, but Talisman again found a way out of trouble and after forcing a standing switch, sent Tian Long out of the ring with a drop-kick...... Talisman then tagged in Zodiac but did not go out of the ring, instead he launched himself over the top-rope at Long with a no hands plancha .....Zodiac then sent an on-rushing Incognito out of the ring with a spinning head-scissors before climbing up top and wiping out 'El Pesadilla Hermosa' with a moonsault press.</p><p> </p><p>

Whispered then both re-entered the ring and stood tall, as a shell-shocked IMPERIOUS looked to regroup out on the floor. Referee Sugimura manages to regain some control, and orders Talisman back to his corner, whilst Incognito steps into the ring for IMPERIOUS.</p><p> </p><p>

A fresher Zodiac is a step quicker though as they exchange arm-drags and gathers up momentum towards catching Incognito with the <strong>Escaflowne </strong>(Tilt-A-Whirl Crucifix Bomb Pin)......</p><p> </p><p>

But that proved to be an error of judgement on Zodiac's part as Tian Long got in a cheap shot, and then pulled 'Innovations God' out of the floor. The 'Imperial One' then whipped Zodiac into the ring-steps, before pitching Zodiac back into the ring. </p><p> </p><p>

Incognito then stomped away on Zodiac, before planting 'Innovations God' with a slingshot suplex......</p><p> </p><p>

'El Pesadilla Hermosa' then tagged in Tian Long, who then dropped an elbow into Zodiac's sternum before making the cover......</p><p> </p><p>

Long then followed up with a charging elbow and then a chokeslam, as Incognito then headed up top....Zodiac staggered out and was then nailed with the<strong> Bala De Dios</strong> (Flying Spinning Heel Kick)......</p><p> </p><p>

IMPERIOUS then set Zodiac up for the <strong>Imperial Combo</strong> (Spinning Heel Kick/Backdrop Suplex) but Zodiac manages to have enough wits about him, to duck Incognito's heel kick. Zodiac then manages to force a standing switch on Long and dump the Imperial One with a belly to back suplex. </p><p> </p><p>

Zodiac then ducks another spinning heel kick from Incognito, and then nails 'El Pesadilla Hermosa' with a leg-lariat. 'Innovations God' then delivers a boot to Incognito's mid-section and then drills 'El Pesadilla Hermosa' with the <strong>Zodiac Sniper X!</strong> (Front Flip Piledriver).....</p><p> </p><p>

But Incognito ends up half way across the ring, and Zodiac is too worn down to crawl across for the cover..... so it ends up being a race to see who can come to their senses and tag out first. </p><p> </p><p>

Incognito despite just being spiked on his head, is nearer to his corner and wearily manages to tag in Tian Long first, but before the 'Imperial One' can do anything Zodiac gets the tag out to a free Talisman, who nails Long with a springboard drop-kick. Long staggers back to his feet but is then caught with the <strong>God Knows </strong>(Spinning Headscissors into a crucifix pin)..........</p><p> </p><p>

But Long wasn't going to be taking flight, as Talisman sprung back to his feet and nailed Long with a jumping high kick....before sending the 'Imperial One' crashing back into the ring with a hurracanrana. Talisman then nailed Long with a spinning kick, before heading up top......</p><p> </p><p>

Talisman then gets the tag to Zodiac.....'Innovations God' nails Long with a drop-kick and then snaps off a spinning headscissors that he immediately transitions into the <strong>Flame Haze</strong> (Tilt-A-Whirl Crucifix Arm Bar)......</p><p> </p><p>

Long is clearly in agony, as Zodiac locks the arm bar on tight......</p><p> </p><p>

But Incognito is able to make the last ditch save, Zodiac just as he earlier on Talisman, then snuck in an <strong>Incognito Driver</strong> (Snapmare Driver)...... </p><p> </p><p>

Minamoto's recent attitude has turned what could have been a friendly contest, albeit a competitive one with a title on the line into something considerably more heated. You could certainly feel the tension when they squared up each other during the introductions. </p><p> </p><p>

And the two squared up once again, after the bell was run....neither man wanting to back down even half an inch. After what seemed like an eternity of a stare-down both unleashed haymakers at the same time, and neither one backed off, as they engaged in a back and forth brawl.</p><p> </p><p>

With the champion standing his ground, Minamoto was the one who had enough and bailed to the outside for a powder, but the experienced Ichigawa wasn't going to take the bait and simply waited for Minamoto to get back into the ring. </p><p> </p><p>

Minamoto steps back in and they lock-up and take things to the mat, but unfortunately for 'Rumble Heart' the champion is again a step ahead, and confirms his control by placing Minamoto in a sitting chinlock. Minamoto manages to get out of that, but 'Rumble Heart' is continuosly left frustrated over the next few minutes as Ichigawa controls the pace and gradually looks to wear down Minamoto both physically and mentally with a series of basic holds such as headlocks and wristlocks.</p><p> </p><p>

A frustrated Minamoto then tries to pick up the pace and turn the match back in more of a brawl again, but 'White Light' who is feeling the fresher of the two, fires right back and soon enough has Minamoto back-peddling once again. Ichigawa see's on opening to go for the <strong>Decaptitor</strong> (Bicycle Kick) but Minamoto still has enough left in the tank to move away just in time, before scarpering back out to the floor for another powder. </p><p> </p><p>

Ichigawa waited patiently once again, but this time Minamoto tried to get into Ichigawa's head by teasing re-entering the ring only to bail to the floor again. Eventually Minamoto's 'games' did frustrate Ichigawa, who just wanted to get on with the match and continue to press home his early advantage. </p><p> </p><p>

As Ichigawa moved to the edge of the ring, it played right into 'Rumble Hearts' hands who then proceeded to sweep Ichigawa's legs out from under him, before pulling 'White Light' out to the floor. Minamoto then tossed Ichigawa into the ring-steps, before rolling back into the to break up the twenty floor count.</p><p> </p><p>

Minamoto then delivered a running kick to Minamoto who was propped up agains the ring-steps, before wrapping Ichigawa's right arm against the ring post. 'Rumble Heart' then stepped back into the ring and applied pressure to Ichigawa's right arm by wrapping his legs round it and pulling it against the cold hard steel of the ring-post. With the submission hold not being a legal one, it drew a five count from referee Ochida. Minamoto made sure to use all of the five seconds before letting go. </p><p> </p><p>

'Rumble Heart' had managed to completely turn the tables, as he pitched Ichigawa back into the ring and then kicked away at 'White Lights' increasingly numb right arm. The Champion tried to rally back, with a series of left hand punches but Minamoto was able to cut off the rally with a knee into the mid-section followed by a Brainbuster- leading to the closest two count yet of the match. </p><p> </p><p>

Minamoto then paintbrush slapped Ichigawa, taunting the champion to get up...'White Light' did try to rally back but was then immediately put flat on his back again with a <strong>Decapitator </strong>(Running Bicycle Kick) from Minamoto....</p><p> </p><p>

Ichigawa wasn't going to go down to his own move and he defiantly kicked out. The champion remained in trouble though and Minamoto hoisted Ichigawa upon his shoulders, but 'White Light' knew what was about to come and fought his way off with a series of elbows to the side of Minamoto's head, before somehow getting in position for a <strong>Dragon Suplex</strong>, but Ichigawa was unable to maintain the Full Nelson and Minamoto forced a standing switch before dumping Ichigawa with a <strong>Dragon Suplex</strong> of his own!</p><p> </p><p>

Once again Ichigawa refused to give in, especially to one his own signature moves. Minamoto remained in control though and lifted Ichigawa up with a double underhook, to set up for the <strong>Harima DDT </strong>(Double Arm DDT) but Ichigawa stood his ground and countered with a back body drop......</p><p> </p><p>

Ichigawa then suddenly found a burst of energy, stunning Minamoto with an atomic drop and then nailing 'Rumble Heart' with a <strong>Decaptitator</strong> (Running Bicyle Kick).........</p><p> </p><p>

Minamoto kicked out, but the momentum had swung back to the champion, and Ichigawa suddenly has the Crucifix Arm Bar locked on......</p><p> </p><p>

But fortunately for Minamoto, Ichigawa was unable to maintain his grip, as the pain in his weakened right arm became too much to bear. 'Rumble Heart' was unable to take advantage of that though, as Ichigawa had applied enough pressure to Minamoto to neutralise 'Rumble Heart' suddenly swinging the match back into his favour. </p><p> </p><p>

Both staggered back to their feet and began to trade blows once again, but unlike earlier it was Minamoto who was now making more headway and he was able to whip a weary Ichigawa into the corner, before following in with a step-up knee strike. Minamoto then decided to place a dazed Ichigawa onto the top-turbuckle and set up for a superplex. </p><p> </p><p>

But 'White Light' was able to fend off the attempt and was able to shove Minamoto to the mat, before nailing 'Rumble Heart' with a flying fore-arm smash. Ichigawa immediately followed up with a <strong>Decapitator </strong>(Running Bicycle Kick) and then a <strong>Dragon Suplex</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Minamoto this time showed great fighting spirit by kicking out, but Ichigawa has seized back control and he began to set up for the <strong>Chugoku Spike</strong> (Cradle Piledriver) but Minamoto was able to block the attempt and the suddenly countered into the <strong>Ode to Eri</strong> (Cradle Brainbuster).......</p><p> </p><p>

Minamoto kicks out again and nails Ichigawa with a basement drop-kick, 'White Light' staggers up to his feet but is met with a knee lift from Minamoto......Ichigawa shakes it off but is then taken down with a Tilt-A-Whirl Headscissors.....</p><p> </p><p>

Ichigawa had been caught, Minamoto had the <strong>Akira Takano Tea Club</strong> <strong>Special</strong> (Tilt-A-Whirl Headscissors Arm Bar locked on).....</p><p> </p><p>

The defending champion was obviously in an excrutiating amount of pain, his hand quivering as Minamoto screamed at him to tap.....</p><p> </p><p>

But Ichigawa will literally risk having his arm pulled out of it's socket if it meant keeping the DIASPORA Heavyweight title round his waist..and despite the suffering he was having to endure he somehow managed to make it to the ropes and force a rope-break.</p><p> </p><p>

Minamoto couldn't believe it and he paced around in disbelief and frustration wondering what he needed to do put away Ichigawa away and seize the Heavyweight title. </p><p> </p><p>

Ichigawa was clearly the weaker of the two, and Minamoto stomped away, whilst talking trash to Ichigawa, before whipping a weary Ichigawa into the corner. Minamoto then dragged a lifeless looking Ichigawa up to the top turbuckle and began applying a double underhook began to set up for an <strong>Avalanche Harima DDT</strong> (Double Arm DDT) but Ichigawa did have some life left in him, and all of a sudden Minamoto was being flinged back into the ring with a butterfly superplex!</p><p> </p><p>

Ichigawa was too worn down though to immediately follow up with a cover......</p><p> </p><p>

Then as they staggered back to their feet both went for the <strong>Decapitator </strong>(Running Bicycle Kick)........literally just missing each other by just a few inches.....</p><p> </p><p>

Ichigawa was quicker off the rebound.....nailing Minamoto with a fore-arm smash and then clotheslining Minamoto out to the floor. Ichigawa then climbed out onto the apron and nailed 'Rumble Heart' with a flying fore-arm.</p><p> </p><p>

The champion was building momentum and he dragged Minamoto onto the apron, and begun to set up for the <strong>Chugoku Spike</strong> (Cradle Piledriver) but he began to favour the right arm that Minamoto had worked over and he was unable to get 'Rumble Heart' up, Minamoto then tried to for the <strong>Ode to Eri</strong> (Cradle Brainbuster) but Ichigawa was able to block that, and then suddenly found the burst of energy, to turn the tables once again, to drill 'Rumble Heart' with a <strong>Chugoku Spike</strong> (Cradle Piledriver) on the ring apron! </p><p> </p><p>

Ichigawa then rolled Minamoto into the ring and went for the cover......</p><p> </p><p>

Thr........</p><p> </p><p>

Minamoto was as desperate to become champion as Ichigawa was trying to keep hold of the title. However Ichigawa showed his veteran experience by unfazed by Minamoto's kick out.......</p><p> </p><p>

And after dragging Minamoto back up to a vertical base planted 'Rumble Heart' with a <strong>Dragon Suplex</strong>.........</p><p> </p><p>

One.......</p><p> </p><p>

Two.....</p><p> </p><p>

Minamoto kicked out again!</p><p> </p><p>

But it was a fraction too late as referee Ochida had slapped the mat for three......</p><p> </p><p>

Ichigawa had retained the Heavyweight Championship by the skin of his teeth and perhaps had this match not been for the title, he may not have had the sheer bloody-mindness to grit through the agony his right arm was subjected to. </p><p> </p><p>

After the match Ichigawa, is clutching his right arm in agony, but still manages to go over to a desconsolate Minamoto and offers his left hand.......</p><p> </p><p>

Ichigawa being a man of honor, is only offering his hand to show respect to Minamoto for being part of a great match. The question is how would Minamoto react to that, after such a frustratingly close defeat.......</p><p> </p><p>

Minamoto shakes Ichigawa's hand in half hearted manner, and then storms out of the ring. A reaction that still leaves alot of questions and shows that this rivarly is far from over. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#000080;"><strong>Hyotaru Ichigawa</strong></span><span style="color:#000080;">: Minamoto-san gave me a tough tough match, I didn't expect anything less....He is young and hungry, his desire to be the best I cannot fault....however that desire turned into arrogance. This may well be the most demanding title defence for any champion in DIASPORA, yet alone the most demanding title defence of Prime Dragon's reign with the title and this is only his third defence. It's not just the fact that he is defending the belt against two of the very best in DIASPORA, former champion Sairento and S.H.I.P leader Hiroto Nori, it's the fact that he has to pin/submit both of them to retain the title....mind you the rules are the same for both his challengers. Quite simply first one to get a pinfall or submission on both of their opponents emerges as the Super Junior Champion at the end of the night. </p><p> </p><p>

There is some tense circling at the start as the bell rings, as all three competitors cagily wait for one or both of their opponents to make a move. Unfortunatley for Sairento when they do stop trying to psych each other out, both Dragon and Nori are on the same page and they proceed to double-team the Kuro leader. </p><p> </p><p>

Dragon and Nori combine on a leg-sweep/spin-kick combo and then proceed to take turns in subjecting Sairento to stiff-kick flurries. Sairento however just shakes the barrage off however, as though he was merely being touched by some irritating fly. Sitting right back up in his trademark eerie manner, he took down both Nori and Dragon with a double clothesline, only for his opponents to pop right back up and nail Sairento with stereo Enziguri's. </p><p> </p><p>

Sairento then staggered into a Rolling Wheel-Kick from Dragon, whilst Nori then peppered 'Silent Reaper' with the <strong>Endless Nori</strong> (Kick Flurry, ending with a high kick to the head)......</p><p> </p><p>

But just as Nori was about to go for the cover, Dragon took him by surprise and quickly rolled 'Battle' up from behind......</p><p> </p><p>

One.....</p><p> </p><p>

Two.......</p><p> </p><p>

Nori kicked out and then got into a shoving match with the Super Junior Champion- their alliance against Sairento quickly dissolving with both of them keen to get the early advantage in the contest. The shoving match quickly evolves into a more intense brawling contest, whilst Sairento rolls out to the floor to re-group. </p><p> </p><p>

Neither Dragon nor Nori back down from one another, but it's the S.H.I.P leader who makes the breakthrough, connnecting with a picture perfect drop-kick, that sends Prime Dragon to the floor, Nori then immediately followed that up with a suicide dive that sent the 'Grand Pillar' crashing against the barricade but just as Nori was about to pitch Dragon back into the ring, he was cheap-shotted from behind by Sairento, who then tossed Nori into the ring-steps. Sairento then Yakuza kicked Dragon over the barricade and into the crowd, before delivering a basement drop-kick to Nori against the ring-steps.</p><p> </p><p>

That's when the camera's panned in on a rather distraught looking female fan, who was clearly supporting Nori......</p><p> </p><p>

Sairento lifted up a dazed Nori, and right in front of the hysterical fan....drilled 'Battle' with a Brainbuster out on the floor </p><p> </p><p>

'That's not fair, how dare you do that to my Nori-Chan!' screamed the fan at Sairento, the commentary team commented that the fan's support may just be a little bit over the top. Coldly ignoring the fan Sairento tossed Nori back into the ring to make the cover.....</p><p> </p><p>

One......</p><p> </p><p>

Two......</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#9932CC;">'Come on Nori-chan, get up, GET UP!'</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Thr.....</p><p> </p><p>

Somehow Nori must taken some sort of inspiration from the hysterical encouragment and managed to kick out. Sairento was still in control though and he subjected Nori to a Kuro-Stomp, before locking on the <strong>Silence</strong> (Pentagram Choke)......</p><p> </p><p>

Just as it looked like the 'Silent Reaper' would force a submission victory, a recovered Prime Dragon rolled back in and broke up the submission- the reason in doing so not to save Nori but to prevent Sairento from getting the first fall. </p><p> </p><p>

Prime Dragon then nailed Sairento with a Rolling Wheel Kick, before following up with a palm-strike and then a <strong>Prime Driver</strong> (Over the Shoulder Belly to Back Piledriver).....</p><p> </p><p>

One......</p><p> </p><p>

Two.....</p><p> </p><p>

Thr.....</p><p> </p><p>

Sairento managed to kick out but remained rooted to the mat. Dragon then set up for the<strong> Dragonsault</strong> (Springboard Moonsault) but was then suddenly nailed with a gamengiri from the apron by Nori.....before the S.H.I.P leader followed that up with a springboard drop-kick on Sairento. </p><p> </p><p>

Nori then planted Sairento with a reverse STO before heading up top, only to be cut off with a leaping palm strike from Prime Dragon who began to set up for a superplex, but with Nori holding his ground....Sairento then recovered and proceeded to powerbomb Dragon into the ring, just as the Super Junior Champion was in the process of delivering a superplex to Nori. </p><p> </p><p>

That put Sairento back in control- the Kuro leader proceeded to whip both of his opponents into opposite corners and then followed up with consecutive corner Yakuza kicks. Sairento then subjected Nori to a facewash.....before going on to do the same to Prime-Dragon.....</p><p> </p><p>

Except Dragon had found a burst of fighting spirt and the managed to cut Sairento off from delivering the facewash with a running drop-kick. Sairento however immediately shook that off and then levelled Prime Dragon with a clothesline and then hoisted Dragon upon his shoulders, before delivering a <strong>Death Valley Driver</strong>.....</p><p> </p><p>

Prime Dragon managed to kick out, but remained in trouble and Sairento dragged the 'Grand Pillar' back up to a vertical base, only to suddenly be nailed with a running drop-kick from Nori. 'Battle' then peppered both of his opponents with consecutive <strong>Endless Nori's</strong> (Kick Flurry finishing with a high head kick).</p><p> </p><p>

With both of his opponents down, the S.H.I.P leader then decided to head up top but Sairento managed to rise to his feet, only to be spiked with a Tornado DDT from Nori. 'Battle' then dodged a rolling wheel kick from Dragon before suddenly catching the champion with the <strong>Yakisoba</strong> (Tilt-A-Whirl Cross Armbreaker).....</p><p> </p><p>

Nori had the submission hold locked in right in the middle of the ring.......</p><p> </p><p>

Prime Dragon taps! , Dragon taps! and it is Nori who takes the early advantage in this match....Now all he has to do is pin or submit Sairento and he will be the new Super Junior Champion. </p><p> </p><p>

Sairento powerfully kicks out and then nails Nori with a fore-arm smash. The 'Silent Reaper' then sends Nori to the floor with a Yazuza Kick, but is then turns right around into a palm strike from Prime Dragon. That poor bit of decision making, allowed for Sairento to recover and plant Nori face first into the canvas with a <strong>Kuro-Stomp</strong> (Surfboard Curbstomp)......</p><p> </p><p>

Nori staggered out first and was levelled with a Yazuka kick........then Dragon staggered out and was only met with the same. Nori realizing he was in danger of taking a fall here, managed to quickly roll out of the ring but Sairento managed to cut Prime Dragon off from doing the same......</p><p> </p><p>

Sairento drilled Dragon with a Brainbuster and then simply waited for the Super Junior Champion to begin to rise to his feet, before nailing the 'Grand Pillar' with the <strong>Absolute Terror</strong> (Front Knee Strike To The Face)</p><p> </p><p>

One......</p><p> </p><p>

Two....</p><p> </p><p>

Thr......</p><p> </p><p>

No! Sairento was denied again as Prime Dragon somehow managed to get across to make the last ditch save. Dragon then nailed Sairento with a palm-strike and then drilled 'Silent Reaper' with a Brainbuster, before turning Sairento over into the<strong> Dragon's Bite</strong> (Inverted Facelock Sleeper).....</p><p> </p><p>

Sairento managed to power his way up to his feet however, only for Dragon to be unrelenting with his application of the submission hold, and 'Silent Reaper' once again collapsed to the mat......</p><p> </p><p>

But just as it looked like Prime Dragon would force the submission victory, Nori made the save with a basement drop-kick. </p><p> </p><p>

Nori and Dragon then got into a striking contest, as they took frustrations out on one another.....denying the other the chance to get the decisive second fall over Sairento......</p><p> </p><p>

But all that did was allow for Sairento to recover and nail both of his opponents with Yakuza Kicks sending them both to the floor. 'Silent Reaper' then put his body on the line with a suicide dive, that sent both of his opponents crashing against the barricade......</p><p> </p><p>

Sairento then tossed Nori into the ring-steps, before turning his attention back to Prime Dragon.....'Silent Reaper' drilled Dragon with a Brainbuster and then came crashing down upon Dragon with a Double Stomp off the apron, but Nori was back up and he came charging at Sairento to nail 'Silent Reaper' with a running dropkick...before planting Sairento with a Reverse STO out on the floor.....</p><p> </p><p>

Nori then pitched Sairento back into the ring and went for the pin......</p><p> </p><p>

One......</p><p> </p><p>

Two.....</p><p> </p><p>

Thr.....</p><p> </p><p>

Sairento kicked out but remained rooted to the mat and Nori headed up top once again, only for the Kuro Leader to rise back to his feet ....But Nori was able to react to that drilling Sairento with a Tornado DDT before snapping off spinning headscissors and transitioning into the<strong> Yakisoba</strong> (Tilt-A-Whirl Cross Arm Breaker)......</p><p> </p><p>

Hiroto Nori suddenly looked like a man possessed as he looked set to rip Sairento's arm out of it's socket , but just as it looked like Nori would force 'Silent Reaper' into the embarrassment of tapping out..... Prime Dragon rolled into the ring and made the save......</p><p> </p><p>

Dragon then connected with a Rolling Wheel Kick on Nori, before drilling 'Battle' with the <strong>Prime Driver</strong> (Over The Shoulder Belly to Back Piledriver).......</p><p> </p><p>

Prime Dragon then followed that up with a palm strike to Sairento, who was still clutching at the arm that Nori had locked on his Yakisoba submission. The 'Grand Pillar' then looked to set up for another Prime Driver, but Sairento managed to block the attempt and then counter into a Brainbuster......</p><p> </p><p>

But Sairento was unable to go for an immediate cover as he clutched at his arm.......</p><p> </p><p>

However Dragon was still down and 'Silent Reaper' looked to connect with the <strong>Absolute Terror</strong> (Front Knee Strike to the Face) as he looked to take Dragon out to get a clear run at Nori.....</p><p> </p><p>

But Dragon caught Sairento and countered into a Dragon Screw Leg-Whip........</p><p> </p><p>

The 'Grand Pillar' then planted Sairento with a <strong>Prime Driver</strong> (Over The Shoulder Belly to Back Piledriver)......</p><p> </p><p>

Only for Hiroto Nori to come alive again and plant Dragon with the <strong>Nigiri Serving</strong> (Leaping Reverse STO).......</p><p> </p><p>

Nori then turned his attention back to Sairento and connected with a kick to the head, before heading up , as he once again looked to connect with the<strong> Flying Bonito</strong> (Sky Twister Press)........</p><p> </p><p>

This time Nori connected......</p><p> </p><p>

One.......</p><p> </p><p>

Two.....</p><p> </p><p>

Thr.......</p><p> </p><p>

Dragon somehow managed to make another last ditch save.....An incensed Nori looked to start an Endless Nori kick flurry but Dragon managed to catch the leg and counter into a Dragon Screw Legwhip....before nailing Nori with a Rolling Wheel Kick and planting the S.H.I.P leader with a <strong>Prime Driver 2000 (</strong> Wrist Clutch Over The Shoulder Belly to Back Piledriver)</p><p> </p><p>

Sairento had stirred back to his feet however and connected with a Yakuza Kick...... 'Silent Reaper' then whipped Dragon into the corner and charged in with a running fore-arm smash, before pitching the dazed champion onto the top turbuckle.....</p><p> </p><p>

Sairento looked to be setting up once again for an <strong>Avalanche Ryuk's Apple.</strong>....but Dragon still had some fight left and he fought off the attempt, with a flurry of elbows and then all of a sudden Sairento was the one who found himself in trouble......</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AVALANCHE PRIME DRIVER! </strong></p><p> </p><p>

One......</p><p> </p><p>

Two.......</p><p> </p><p>

Nori is stirring again......</p><p> </p><p>

Three!!!</p><p> </p><p>

But the S.H.I.P leader comes back to life a fraction too late, as Prime Dragon comes back from conceding a fall to both of his challengers and overcomes the odds to retain the Super Junior Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Final Fall: Prime Dragon over Sairneto in 40:10 via pinfall (Avalanche Prime Driver)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Takayuki's Final Verdict:</strong> The best show of my tenure as DIASPORA head booker thus far, and it's always more satisfying when it comes at a show such as this. Matches one through five provided a solid undercard, but it was the final three matches that really delivered....as they should have done.</p>

Welcome to the center of the Puroresu World, Tokyo! I'm Miko Kubota and you're not!

Result: Taheji Ebisawa [w] & Kan Mitsubishi bt Yachi Kotara & Shiki Hirasi [L] in 7:57 via pinfall (Ebisawa Complex)

No surprise here. Ebisawa is a future star and Kan is name wrestler, however little that name is.

Result: Dark Wolf II [w] bt Junichi Matsuo [L] in 9:46 via pinfall (Wolf's Call)

Yep, Tiger bringing in a ??? opponent, just to job him out right away. The picture really doesn't do Matsuo justice if he's supposed to be the Bishonen fanservice. Just tell me he looks like

and I'll be happy. BxB Hulk would be awesome as well.

Result: Meido Machine & HUSTLE Umiro [w] bt Kohei Hidaka [L} & Hideaki Kasuse in 9:15 via pinfall (Out-Hustled)

The result was not a surprise, but...

Fuku Machine now has his crazy 'I don't know who I am' gimmick established.

Result: Koto Arato [w] & Go Takashi bt Aki Shimizudani [L] & Horiuchi Inokuma in 10:03 via submission (Dreamland)

The usual. Arato gets to be the bully, which is a good thing. But really, we're waiting to see if ShimiKuma are ready to blow up yet.

Aki Shimizudani: It's only a failure if we continue to fail, from here on we shall no longer fail.

This is so famous last words. Shimikuma are not ready to break up yet but all we are doing now is betting on how long it takes.

Hideki then staggered out and was nailed with a Black Box Shot from Terajima.

Go Soh!

Result: Kotei Yamato & Shintaro Hideki [w] bt Soh Terajima [L] & Blood Spider Jr in 11:05 via pinfall (Keiyakusha)

I have to agree with the sum up on this one. It was a feud based on personality and Soh's haplessness. This was about the best you could hope for in such an uneven feud. But there was some entertainment value and now New Solution can move on to bigger and better things. And Soh Terajima can move on to his big feud with Ebisawa. Really, I could see that working. Ebisawa is still new enough that he can lose to someone on Soh's level. But it can function as a learning experience feud for Ebisawa, teaching him how to deal with vile cheaters.

Result: GUSHIKEN [w] & Chojiro Ono bt Hiro Date [L] & Oda Yamawaki in 14:43 via pinfall (GUSHIKEN Firebomb)

Yamawaki is correct on this one, but it makes a lot of sense. TWC are protected because they lost a match that favored the other team strongly. UNK were big, burly and rough and they did what they needed to do to win the match. But there is plenty of reason for a quick rematch.

Result: Zodiac [w] & Talisman bt Tian Long & Incognito [L] in 22:20 via pinfall (Steins Gate)

I think Takayuki understates this match. It's outstanding and the write up reflects it. A ton of near falls, plenty of lightning fast action, quick cuts, and daredevil action. Whispered made a big noise here.

Zodiac: Any doubters left?

Not me.

Result: Hyotaru Ichigawa [w] bt Eikichi Minamoto [L] in 25:47 via pinfall (Dragon Suplex)

Classic heavyweight match and my favorite match of the night. Bruising action, good fighting spirit spots, Minamoto teases getting the win with the savage assault on Ichigawa's arm. But the champion is still just too good. I'm not sure what comes next though. I don't see Arato getting yet one more chance, so we have to go back to Minamoto again. He's clearly not done going after the title. But he'll need to make me believe the next time he knows what he needs to do to finish Ichigawa off.

Result: Prime Dragon [w] bt Hiroto Nori & Sairento in 40:10

'That's not fair, how dare you do that to my Nori-Chan!' screamed the fan at Sairento

Welcome back Mio!

Somehow Nori must taken some sort of inspiration from the hysterical encouragment and managed to kick out.

Or sudden irrational fear jolted him into action.

This was a long match. At least one of the fans was a little burned out by now.:) Plenty of near falls, confusing rules. And PD didn't exactly come out of this one looking strong. He did enough to win, but not enough to make me think he's better than Nori or Sairento. No doubt this was the intent. There is at least one more main event left in this three way feud.

First off, awesome show from top to bottom. And two, because we both watch Dragon Gate, is it safe for me to say that "Sexy Zone" was inspired by pre-heel BxB Hulk? :p

'Sexy Zone' Junichi Matsuo is indeed inspired by pre-heel BxB Hulk. Though jhd1 already had the character in place as working a J-Pop Idol style gimmick. In LETHAL he plays a heel, who wan't to keep his good looks and does not want to be involved in hardcore matches, here I've got him coming in as a face- that can appeal to the female demographic. :p

The Unattainable Flower

My first DIASPORA- Pro Wrestling Festival had gone well- this the promotion's anniversary show was one of ther biggest PPV's of the year - so it needed to deliver and thankfully it did....of course it's not all down to me, I can only do so much and it's down to the wrestlers themselves to rise to the occasion. One such wrestler, is the man I also call my boss the owner of DIASPORA Prime Dragon- who at the Age of 47 somehow continues to defy the ageing process and can still perform incredible athletic feats. I'm about 15 years his junior and I can't do what he does!

As is always the case when we are in and around the Tokyo area, Dragon-san offered to put me up for a few nights in his home near Yokohoma. It's a chance to talk business but he think the real reason he likes me guesting, is so that he can play host and show off his prize asset.. His beautiful wife (who must be at least half his age), the lovely Misaki. If awards were handed out for luckiest man on the planet Prime Dragon would be a top contender.

http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQxGlDkmyhgt4cbHlBfBVSouhIbfHTyM4d7R2vpD-c4hs5GBmj1

Though the snow had now passed, the weather was still bitterly cold, as we reached the end of February- so Misaki served up another one of her delicious home cooked nabe's. Though she could plonk a couple of convenience store onigiri's on a plate and they would still taste delightful.....

No, I really musn't think that way, she's married, and worst of all she's married to the boss. As lovely as Misaki is, seeing her is also a painful experience. It's like losing a game, and then someone waving the prize in front of you and saying 'Here's what you could have won!' Except I was never really in the contest to begin with, she had already fallen for 'Primey' (as she affectionately referrred to Dragon-san) and vice-versa before I had even gazed eyes upon her lovely form.

Maybe next time I should decline Dragon's offer of 'generous' hospitality.....

No, that would won't do, it would feel disrespectful toward Dragon-san and besides it saves me having to fork out money on staying at a hotel. I would have to face up to the fact that unless something should happen to Dragon-san, my feelings for the lovely Misaki would never be requited, and I would not want to wish ill-will on my boss and a man who I have a growing resepct for, inspite of the fact that he wears a mask 24-7.

February News and Notes from Around the Wrestling World

Japan

Worker Signings: Lethal Steel Wrestling add former UPJ Junior Division Ebi Kadivar to their ranks.

Worker Extensions: UPJ extend the contract of Legend and Head Road Agent Ichiro Mishima.

Injuries: LETHAL's Shadow Mitsuharu will be out of action for a month, after tweaking his knee in a match against Junichi Matsuo- leaving the veteran with ligament damage.

Meanwhile another member of LETHAL's roster Dr Texas will be out for over two months after he sustained a Broken Ankle when he fell awkwardly through a Table during a match against Ishkhan.

Title Changes: BOSS Nagata ended the 7 month reign of Abdullah Hachirobei to become a three time holder of the Chalice of Blood.

USA

Worker Signings: Dragon Pro Wrestling add veteran women's wrestler Mya DeLois to their roster- though she isn't expected to do much wrestling and will likely be used in a managerial capacity- with rumours that she will be paired with midcard heel Marcus Franklin.

Mexican American Valet Tori Esparza adds LWA in Puerto Rico to her schedule.

Worker Extensions: AWF extend the contract of lower card heel Luke Graves, whilst AWW also extend the contract off a lowercard talent Miss Behavin.

Title Changes: Tyler Mercury ended the 7 month reign of El Estandar to become the PWI Television Champion for the first time.

Komplete Kaos became the first ever PW SUX Uncensored Champion after defeating Arson.

Mexico

Worker Extensions: GDR extend the contract of main event Tecnico Kristina Martinez.

CLLM extend the contract of veteran 'mini' wrestler/manager Pequeno Acuatico and main event Tecnico White Panther Jr.

Title Changes: No title changes this month in Mexico.

New Talent

Brian King- The son of famous wrestler turned announcer Jerry King. Brian has opted to be more of a high flyer, as opposed to the old school mat wrestling approach of his father. He shares his father's natural charisma, though his mic-skills could do with some polish and his actual wrestling needs alot of improvement. The potential is there for him to make a mark in the wrestling business, though it is doubtful he will be able to match the achivements of his father.

Justin Hunt- A young sports reporter, who apparently desires to be a wrestling announcer.

Keitaro Genda- Japanese youngster looking to make it in the business as a manager. Could be a tough ask, where the demand for 'managers' in Puroresu is even less than in American wrestling.

Lee Pyle- Australian teenager has good basics and can talk for Australia but has little else going for him.

Rafael Sanz- Mexican Light Heavyweight is an graduate of the Apache Wrestling School. His only real upsides is that he has good basics and can sell well- ideal jobber material then!

Ron Franklin- Young Canadian Heavyweight- A poor wrestler as this stage in his career but at only 17 has plenty of time to grow, so difficult to tell as this stage just how much impact he could have in the wrestling business.

Wesley Washington- American Heavyweight is a graduate of the Chaos Wrestling Academy. His wrestling skills are somewhat iffy at this stage, though he does have a suprisingly decent grasp of chain wrestling for a man his size. However he has a decent amount of charisma and has a 'star' aura about him. Would not be surprised to see the AWF offering him a contract in a few years, if he continues to develop.

* Apart from Brian King- all the other wrestlers are generated workers (there were a few others but I've decided to ignore any wrestlers only availabe to wrestle in Europe/Britain/Australia as those area's aren't active in the game).

Backstage Gossip

Referee Shane Tedeschi has heat with legendary former wrestler turned announcer Jerry King, after King revealed as such in a Radio interview. Though King was the one to air the 'dirty laundry' in public, it is probably Tedeschi who will be more worried about his job- should this situation grow out of hand, as he holds considerably less sway in the AWF than someone of King's stature in the industry.

On the other hand PWSux wrestlers Clayton Bennett and Seven Brandt seem to be getting on really well, after Bennett was full of praise for Brandt during an interview with a local TV station.

A Thunderous Return

The legendary Terry Thunder- the biggest name in 'sports entertainment' during the 80's and 90's- has announced his return to wrestling, after he took a hiatus from the business following the collapse of the WWWE and decided to concentrate on other projects such as the reality dancing and dating show Thunderhips. Though Thunder is undoubtly one of the biggest (if not the biggest) name wrestling has ever seen, is there any promotion right now who would be prepared to deal with his huge ego and demands?

The House of Three Thousand Fish

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TakayukiKunomasu.jpg http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTs5fzev6MJsEGUw22ga9b39ZB6FJPQ_k2cYUhOVD6jvPDgGWj6QQhttp://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_HirotoNori.jpg

Heading on the Shinkansen from Shinjuku station to Shin-Osaka, I was sat with Hiroto Nori. Whilst I was satisfied with my beef and rice 'exploding' Bento-Box (it doesn't really explode, you just pull some string and it heats it up) , a can of Asahi and a coffee from the trolley. Nori-san had brought onto the train five Bento's and then proceeded to pretty wipe clean everything that was on the trolley of what was being sold for food and drink on the train. The young girl pushing the trolley had to go all the way back to the middle of the train where the food cart was to re-stock. I'm surprised Nori-san didn't follow her and raid what was there.

Of course the reason he could afford to eat again, was because he was back in good graces with Mio Mio. Though I'm dreading that his possessive loose cannon of a girlfiend could cause trouble again on one of our shows, it appears to be the lesser of two evils- because once she would have gotten bored of punishing Nori-san for not being able to be near him every waking minute, the focus of her wrath would have turned to us. Nori-chan confirmed as much....

'You know Mio-chan couldn't take it anymore, she was at her wits end not being able to come to the shows and see me, and it was a real drain on me too- I think she was pretty close to snapping and I would have been the one in the eye of the storm'

He says she was close to snapping, but anyone can see that his Mio-chan had 'snapped' a long time ago, probably even himself but he was afraid of the consequences should he do anything to anger her and it seemed that Mio Mio was someone who was easily angered. Between who I think is the most dangerous person I know, it would be between her and Sairento and as scary as a silent masked man with a fetish for curb-stomping people is, I think Mio Mio manages to out-psycho him.

'Look Mio-chan loves me, and I love her but sometimes it's just too much, I mean during the time you had the ban on her coming to the shows she would make me endure these punishment games'

Punishment games?!! I started picturing Nori-san in a gimp mask and being chained up, whilst Mio Mio dressed in a dominatrix outfit whipped him. I must admit Mio Mio with her sizeable assets wasn't a bad vision to pop into my head, but the rest is surely stuff of nightmares. What Nori-san told me what these punishment games entailed wasn't quite the nightmare fetish fuel I had in mind, but they were equally bizarre.

http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR9k1ZZpGA3K46fm_74FmXDMwEgntWdv7rF9uh29gJ2RRAzAChomAhttp://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSoosZj4OE75NIJDA3acN_ud2CQ6Mpw3GvHNVzjO7xH2goK7I0epA

'One day, she told me to fillet fish 3000 ways'

Did I just hear that right, three thousand ways to fillet a fish? THREE THOUSAND?!!

'Yeah I know it sounds ridiculous, but Mio-chan got me to fillet fish three thousand different ways, otherwise I wasn't going to get any dinner'

Sounds like a pretty brutal punishment for someone like Nori-chan, who clearly loves his food.

'I was really suffering, but if I didn't fillet a fish differently from any of the others, she would make me do it again'

Surely he was exaggerating, no one be that obsessed to make someone fillet a fish three thousand different ways and actually notice the difference. I could struggle to think of three different ways to fillet a fish, yet alone three thousand.

'Oh believe me there aren't really many variations, but it's all about how you hold the knife and where you start from etc.....You see Mio-Chan had written me instructions for the three thousand ways she wanted me to fillet the fish'

I already knew Mio Mio had well and truly jumped off the deep end, but this was taking things to a whole new level of nuts. If Nori-san was prepared to suffer this much for 'love' that was his choice but I wasn't about to join him. I also had to ponder what they did with all this fish once they were done, that would have made for a mountain of sashimi, then again given Nori-san's bottomless appetite he would have little trouble polishing that off.

'Oh I got five of the fish that we filleted, but the rest Mio-chan took with her to a Cat Cafe but apparently she got in an argument with the owner who said that the cat's were on a strict diet and they didn't want anyone bringing in outside food'

http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRTrghSwwIt0nWWHXmGfY5-RCrDh3YEbpvuxk7jkwNS3c6jjTN2http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRnsGNkrgSiM24H0413XXRjQQs1LJT7R7MuyQyS_G3OBZN4s-Mfqg

Nori-san wasn't able to relay what happened to the rest of the three thousand fish after that, but I can only imagine it didn't end particularly well for the owner of the Cat Cafe.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/DIASPORA_Banner-1.jpg

DIASPORA Pro Wrestling Festival saw Prime Dragon, Hyotaru Ichigawa and Whispered all successfully defend their titles, whils thr Udon Noodle Killers won the All Asia Tag belts from the Tokyo Wrecking Crew. But in DIASPORA no one has time to rest on their laurels as the Full Metal Panic! Tour continues, with a return to the Hyogo Prefecturial Gymnasium in Kobe on Tuesday 28th February.

Prime Dragon survived the double elimination match against Sairento and Hiroto Nori, but he already has to take on his next challenger in the form of Tian Long who emerged victorious from a 10 man battle royal a week earlier in Kyushu to earn the title shot. Despite coming off the back of a defeat at DIASPORA Pro Wrestling Festival, as IMPERIOUS unsuccesfully challenged for the Junior Tag belts, the cunning veteran Long will be hoping to take full advantage of a worn down Prime Dragon and do what his stable leader Sairento couldn't do and bring the Super Junior Championship into Kuro-Nadeshiko's possession.

The other two men involved in the main event at Pro Wrestling Festival, will be leading two four man teams into battle against one another, as the Makoto-Style Elimination makes it's return. Lining up alongside Sairento on the Kuro-Nadeshiko side will be Incognito and the newly crowned All Asia Tag champions Udon Noodle Killers (GUSHIKEN & Chojiro Ono) whilst joining Hiroto Nori on the S.H.I.P team will be Kotei Yamato and the former All Asia Tag champions Tokyo Wrecking Crew (Hiro Date & Oda Yamawaki).

Fresh off coming up short of defeating Hyotaru Ichigawa for the Heavyweight Championship, Eikichi Minamoto will have to try and get along with a fellow Guardians member when he lines up alongside Taheji Ebisawa against the S.H.I.P pair of Team Ganbatte! (Koto Arato & Go Takashi). Meanwhile the Guardians Champions trio of Ichigawa and the Junior Tag champions Whispered (Zodiac & Talisman) will be in six man action against 'The Forgotten' trio of Kohei Hidaka, Hideaki Kasuse and Yachi Kotara, who will be hoping to pull off a huge upset.

There will be more tag action with MOE! MONEY! (Meido Machine & HUSTLE Umiro) coming off a win over 'The Forgotten' taking on ShimiKuma (Aki Shimizudani & Horiuchi Inokuma) whose relationship has been rather strained of late.

In singles action DIASPORA newcomer 'Sexy Zone' Junichi Matsuo will be hoping to go some way to avenging a debut loss against Dark Wolf II, when he takes on fellow Kuro member Soh Terajima, whilst the 'Howling Menace' will be in openweight singles action against Kan Mitsubishi.

The pre-show match see's Blood Spider Jr up against Hunter Wolfe, that's if Hunter Wolfe turns up.

Super Junior Championship: Prime Dragon vs Tian Long

Nope, even though it might lead to interesting backstage segment (since Dragon did ask you to keep Tian strong), I doubt you want to give Long the title that is basically the main title in DIASPORA

Makoto Style Elimination: Hiroto Nori, Kotei Yamato, Hiro Date & Oda Yamawaki vs Sairento, Incognito, GUSHIKEN & Chojiro Ono

Coin flip if I ever seen one. I go with S.H.I.P simply because Tokyo Wrecking Crew just lost their titles and this would be a decent feel good win for them to bounce back.

Team Ganbatte! (Koto Arato & Go Takashi) vs Eikichi Minamoto & Taheji Ebisawa

Pretty close one actually with both sides having one Heavyweight title contender and one young up-and-coming guy. Still only one of the teams are proper team with name and Minamoto might not work well with Ebisawa thanks to his recent attitude so I go with Team Ganbatte!

Hyotaro Ichigawa, Zodiac & Talisman vs Kohei Hidaka, Hideaki Kasuse & Yachi Kotara

After two close calls is nice to see an easy one for a change :p

Junichi Matsuo vs Soh Terajima

Soh is still pretty much a jobber and now that he´s feud has ended I don´t see much reason to put him over unless Matsuo is just another jobber.

MOE! MONEY! (Meido & HUSTLE) vs ShimiKuma (Shimizudani & Inokuma)

ShimiKuma continues to struggle and loss to a comedy team will further hurt them. I wonder if Shimizudani´s contract is ending soon as it look like he´s on his way out.

Dark Wolf II vs Kan Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi is Guardian´s job guy while Wolf is already above that so Wolf picks the win.

Blood Spider Jr vs Hunter Wolfe

Spider and he´s partner Soh might be the job guys in Kuro but they still above common jobber like Wolfe.

Is Mio crazy? Why yes, she is.

Super Junior Championship: Prime Dragon vs Tian Long

I just don't see anything gained by Long winning the title. We still need the resolution to Dragon/Nori/Sairento.

Makoto Style Elimination: Hiroto Nori, Kotei Yamato, Hiro Date & Oda Yamawaki vs Sairento, Incognito, GUSHIKEN & Chojiro Ono

Toss up. I think TWC need the win more though.

Team Ganbatte! (Koto Arato & Go Takashi) vs Eikichi Minamoto & Taheji Ebisawa

All things being even, I think Takashi is a little higher up than Ebisawa. And Minamoto losing could lead to him snapping in some amusing way.

Hyotaro Ichigawa, Zodiac & Talisman vs Kohei Hidaka, Hideaki Kasuse & Yachi Kotara

Easy pick but not a sushi match due to the quality of the wrestlers involved.

Junichi Matsuo vs Soh Terajima

Here's the sushi match. I think Terajima works well as someone who the young guys have to struggle to overcome, especially since he cheats.

MOE! MONEY! (Meido & HUSTLE) vs ShimiKuma (Shimizudani & Inokuma)

I could see ShimiKuma winning, just to delay their breakup and make it look for a moment like they may stay together. But with Tiger thinking of TEW2013, I don't think he'll be that patient.

Dark Wolf II vs Kan Mitsubishi

Squish.

Blood Spider Jr vs Hunter Wolfe

I can see Bloody Eightlegs beating Fukumachine, then Hunter remembering who he is afterwards, snapping and beating Spider up.

Full Metal Panic Tour- Show #19

Tuesday 28th February 2012,

Hyogo Prefectural Gymnasium, Kobe, Kansai (2000- Super No Vacancy)

Match 0: Blood Spider Jr vs Hunter Wolfe

The Hunter Wolfe that turned up , was just the bog standard run of the mill Hunter Wolfe. In typical Wolfe fashion he actually had a strong showing and dominated much of the match, but he was unable to put Blood Spider away and he fell victim to a Poison Mist (Asian Mist followed by a High Kick to the Head).

To Wolfe's credit he was able to kick out at two, but he remaine rooted to the mat and the 'New Nightmare' finished the job with the Blood Drop (Senton Bomb).

Result: Blood Spider Jr [w] bt Hunter Wolfe [L] in 6:50 via pinfall (Blood Drop)

Rating: 42

Takayuki Balls: About what you'll expect from this one, Wolfe probably thinks he's better off being plain old Hunter Wolfe, but he's about a million times more interesting as Fuku Machine. I mean Wolfe's default demenour works if he's winning, but bad-ass jobber doesn't really cut it.

Main Show

Kuro-Nadeshiko are all standing in the ring and Tian Long has the microphone.....

'Last night was a great injustice as our great leader Sairento was robbed of the DIASPORA Super Junior Championship by rules designed to favour the champion Prime Dragon. Had it not been for these rules, then the championship would be in possession of Kuro-Nadeshiko and round the waist of the great Sairento.....'

Long then pauses for a bit.......

'But that's the past for tonight I have a wonderous opportunity to become champion, for a weak Dragon shall face a strong one and I Tian Long will finish the job that Sairento-san started....'

Sairento then suddenly ripped the microphone away from Tian Long, it looks as though that bit wasn't in the speech that Sairento had written.....Long looked a bit shell-shocked by his leaders' reaction, and there was a tense moment where it looked like Sairento was about order a beat-down on the 'Imperial One' but all Sairento did was pull Long in close towards him, where he then must have said some inaudible to the crowd into Long's ear, before giving the Imperial One the microphone.....

Long then carried on ......

'Tonight justice can be served when the Super Junior Championship is brought back to Kuro-Nadeshiko- that task has been handed to Tian Long, who must atone for his failure to win the Junior Tag Team Championship. Only the Udon Noodle Killers won through at Pro Wrestling Festival- I Sairento will not tolerate failure for much longer- those who fail to win tonight may not return from the darkness!'

Kuro Nadeshiko then leave the ring, apparently all united behind their leader but it's clear to see that tensions are starting to simmer within the facton.

Rating: 67

Takayuki Balls: This did a fairly decent job of hyping up Long's title shot, whilst also forwarding some tension within Kuro-Nadeshiko. Having a silent leader makes for an interesting challenge when it comes to these sort of in-ring promo's. This was very much put across as the number two trying to get themselves over, but the leader pulling them back into line.

Match #1: Dark Wolf II vs Kan Mitsubishi

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_DarkWolfII.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_KanMitsubishi.jpg

Dark Wolf II was a several steps ahead throughout the entire five minutes this ran for. To Mitsubishi's defence Wolf did 'jump' him before the bell but 'Fist of Granite' was never going to get back into the contest, because Wolf was relentless with a quick fire barrage that had Mitsubishi on the backfoot.

A drop-kick, cannonball senton, Wolf's Rain (Diving Elbow Drop) sequence almost brought victory for the 'Howling Menace' but it was after connecting with the Wolf's Call (Sliding Lariat Pin) that Dark Wolf II was able to put Mitsubishi away.

Result: Dark Wolf II [w] bt Kan Mitsubishi [L] in 5:25 via pinfall (Wolf's Call)

Rating: 45

Takayuki Balls: That was about as exciting as the pre-show match for the crowd- yeah not good, because the crowd never cares about the pre-show match (except for the real die-hard Puroresu Otaku). I'm struggling with what Mitsubishi-san actually brings to the table, except for basically being a designated jobber for Guardians. I'm even more at a loss as to how he once held Tag Team gold in DIASPORA.

________________________________________________________________

Match #2: ShimiKuma (Aki Shimizudani & Horiuchi Inokuma) vs MOE! MONEY! (Meido Machine & HUSTLE Umiro)

MOE! MONEY! go through their usual schtik with them pulling off the MOE! MONEY! double team snap suplex on Inokuma. Inokuma managed to turn things round though and got a two close count on Meido Machine, when he planted the 'World's Most Dangerous Otaku' with a Sea-Change (Spinning Side Slam)

HUSTLE managed to make the save but soon found himself isolated in the ShimiKuma corner, however the miscommunication problems between ShimiKuma continued with Shimizudani accidently nailing Inokuma with a Lariat. HUSTLE then managed to 'Thunder Up' with the lure of a Chocolate Parfait once again giving him the energy to fight his way out of trouble.

HUSTLE got the tag to Meido Machine, who then threw up the heart symbol to cause the bizarre phenomena of 'Moe Time'. The World's Most Dangerous Otaku then headed up top and connected with his Meido-Beam missile drop-kick on a frozen Shimizudani, before pinning 'S-Pulse' for the count of three- with Inokuma nonchantly looking on.

Result: Meido Machine [w] & HUSTLE Umiro bt Aki Shimizudani [L] & Horiuchi Inokuma in 8:08 via pinfall (Meido Beam)

Rating: 49

Takayuki Balls: And here was me thinking that my fellow Kansai brethren were supposed to be the one's with a sense of humour. MOE! MONEY! tried their best to try and 'work the crowd' but the crowd just weren't that into it this time round- maybe they need some new material or maybe the crowd just weren't with it yet, after suffering through a flat opening match- who knows, I was just hoping for better.

_________________________________________________________________

'Sexy Zone' Junichi Matsuo once again comes out with his J-Pop dancers but gets blindsided from behind with a Black-Box shot from Terajima. The 'Cloaked Asssasin' pitched Matsuo into the ring and then tried to sneak a quick cover as the bell rang to officially begin the match.

Matsuo kicked out of that but Terajima stayed in control as he stomped away on 'Sexy Zone. Terajima then went to set up for the Eastern Misery (Forward Russian Legsweep) but Matsuo was able to block the attempt and countered with a Legsweep DDT.

Matsuo then started to get into a groove as he took control with some leg-lariats and then took down Terajima with a springboard inverted DDT for a two count. 'Sexy Zone' then connected with a drop-kick that sent the 'Cloaked Assassin' out of the ring, before showing off a few dance moves. Matsuo then went for a tope, but his dancing allowed for Terajima to re-group and 'Sexy Zone' ended up crashing right into a Black Box shot.

Terajima then pitched Matsuo back into the ring and hit a diving knee-drop for a two count, before setting up for Soh The Seeds of Tera (Forward Somersault Jawbreaker) but Matsuo was able to block the attempt and then suddenly countered with the J-Pop Powerplex (Twisting Falcon Arrow).

But 'Sexy Zone' was a little slow in making the cover, and that enabled Terajima to kick out at two. Matsuo was back in control though and a spin-kick, leg-sweep DDT combo brought another two count. 'Sexy Zone' then decided to head up top but Terajima's partner in disruption Blood Spider Jr made his prescence known by getting up onto the apron....Matsuo managed to kick Spider away but the distraction allowed for Terajima to recover and then stun 'Sexy Zone' with an Avalanche Soh The Seeds of Tera (Forward Somersault Jawbreaker) to secure the victory, and ensure that Matsuo's tough introduction to DIASPORA continues.

Result: Soh Terajima [w] bt Junichi Matsuo [L] in 10:10 via pinfall (Soh The Seeds of Tera)

Rating: 62

Takayuki Balls: And the crowd finally wakes up, and it takes a match involving Terajima-san of all people. Actually Terajima-san ain't all that bad, he's actually pretty solid....he's never going to be a world-beater but he is decent enough in his role as a shameless rule breaker. Sure some will look at Matsuo-san coming in with two losses and wonder if he has just been bought in to be a jobber, but I can assure I'm actually building to something with him, and these two losses will be alot more useful than him just coming in and beating a few jobbers.

Post Match Comments:

Soh Terajima: No way was I get to let some poncey dancer beat me, I'm sick of being humiliated, I'm no joke and I wasn't going to let that fool make a fool out of me!

Junichi Matsuo is looking all dejected about his defeat at the hand of Soh Terajima, when MOE! MONEY! walk up to him....

Junichi Matsuo: Oh great that's all I need....not only was I robbed of victory, now I'm being hit on by a nutter in a maid outfit!

HUSTLE Umiro: Look playa, me and the maid-man here were just coming over to console you.....

Junichi Matsuo: I don't need consoling- especially not from you two!

HUSTLE Umiro: Thought you looked like a guy who like's to have fun...maybe we were wrong.....

Junichi Matsuo: Oh I like to have fun alright, fun with some real ladies not with some guy pretending to be one!!

HUSTLE Umiro: Fine have it your way, but a word of warning you won't get far flying solo round here.....You've got to have allies....me and the maid man here have seen much success since we started watching each other's backs.

Junichi Matsuo: I've seen your 'success' and I'm no comedy act....

There was only really one team in this match, and it came to no one's suprise who it was. To 'The Forgotten' trio's credit they did put up some resistance with Kotara kicking out of a Dragon Suplex from Ichigawa and Kasuse resisting a three count after a Zodiac Sniper (Sunset Flip Powerbomb) from Zodiac.

There was also a brief three minute spell where Talisman found himself isolated in 'The Forgotten's' corner but they were unable to make that advantage count and the 'Second Coming' showed great ingenuity to escape from the tricky situation with a Tornado DDT/spinning headscissors combo on Hidaka and Kasuse, before neutralising Kotara with a Dropsault.

The finish saw Ichigawa nail Kotara with a Decapitator (Running Bicycle Kick), Talisman spike Kasuse with a Tornado DDT and then Zodiac put the seal on things when ensnaring Hidaka in the Flame Haze (Tilt-A-Whirl Crucifix Arm Bar)

Result: Hyotaru Ichigawa, Zodiac [w] & Talisman bt Yachi Kotara, Kohei Hidaka [L] & Hideaki Kasuse in 11:27 via submission (Flame Haze)

Rating: 62

Takayuki Balls: In truth this was little more than an exhibition showcase for three of our top talents Ichigawa and Whispered. Still despite the generally one sided nature of the match, the crowd were still relatively entertained.

_________________________________________________________________

The match begins pretty evenly, and there is a captivating brawl between Koto Arato and Taheji Ebisawa, matching each other blow for blow with fore-arm smashes and ending in a double lariat take-down in the middle of the ring.

The Guardians pair take control when they are able to isolate Takashi, with Minamoto (still frustrated from coming up short in winning the Heavyweight title being particularly aggressive), in fact Minamoto is so focused on taking out his frustrations that he completely ignores Ebisawa. But Takashi proves resilient to a Brainbuster and the Harima DDT (Double Arm DDT).

Minamoto argues with referee Ochida that he thought it was a three count and then returns his focus back to Takashi, 'Rumble Heart' goes for the Akira Takano Tea Club Special (Tilt-A-Whirl Headscissors Arm Bar) but Takashi manages to block the attempt and then musters up the strength to counter with the DRRR!! (Wrist Clutch Death Valley Driver).....

Ebisawa manages to break up the pin, but is quickly ordered back to his corner by referee Ochida. Both Arato and Ebisawa tag back in and resume their nose to nose brawling from earlier but eventually Ebisawa's resolve falters and Arato dumps 'Forceful Dagger' with the Arato-Suplex (Half Nelson Choke Suplex).....Minamoto nonchantly comes in to make the save, but he is too late and Team Ganbatte!! are able to secure the victory.

Result: Koto Arato [w] & Go Takashi bt Eikichi Minamoto & Taheji Ebisawa [L] in 11:40 via pinfall (Arato Suplex)

Rating: 70

Takayuki Balls: Solid middle of the card tag contest, it did what it needed to do - in that it provided decent action and still managed to get across the face that everything is far from rosy right now between Minamoto-san and then rest of the Guardians.

Post Match Comments:

Koto Arato: I know that our fellow Shippers the Tokyo Wrecking Crew will want to get the All Asia Tag titles back from the Udon Noodle Killers, but I believe me and Takashi-san have a great team, and we would love to have a shot at those titles too. We are willing to prove ourselves anyway possible and show that we are deserving of a title shot.

Meanwhile things look heated between Ebisawa and Minamoto, with the pair arguing....

Taheji Ebisawa: Look I don't know what your problem is Minamoto-san, but your arrogance is starting to tick everyone off, I feel privileged to be a Guardian, and I thought you......

Eikichi Minamoto: Look who cares what you think, I'm not the ione who lost the match, I'm not the one who failed to get the job done...

Taheji Ebisawa: But we were supposed to be a team......

Eikichi Minamoto: Well we're not, we were up against a team......but we were just too guy's thrown together.....

Taheji Ebisawa: Really? Is that the way you see it

Eikichi Minamoto: Yes really, besides I have more important things to think about than wrestling in pointless tag matches with a greenhorn like you!

Minamoto then walked away, leaving behind a seething Ebisawa.

_____________________________________________________________

Kuro-Nadeshiko emerged victorious in the pre-match coin toss to decide which team would have the man advantage throughout the match.

Yamato and Incognito start things off, and it is 'Pin Point' who takes control with a drop-kick and then a brainbuster. However that advantage is short-lived when Ono enters the ring and clubs Yamato from behind, before scoop powerslamming 'Pin Point'. Yamato then suffers a Tsunami (Big Splash) and then a moonsault from Incognito.

At this stage however, no one can be eliminated from the match this was purely all about wearing your opponents down. A fired up Hiro Date came in for S.H.I.P but he found himself over-matched by the Kuro duo and when GUSHIKEN then came in, the Kuro trio were dominant against the S.H.I.P pair, who were taking a real beating inside of the ring.

Yamawaki gave Yamato and Date some rest-bite, rocking Ono with a Fearless (Flying Clothesline) and then planting Incognito with a uranage, but his rally didn't last long as GUSHIKEN connected with the GUSHIKEN Smash (Charging Elbow Smash).

Sairento was then the last to come in for Kuro, and with all three of the S.H.I.P entrants down he then ruthlessly subjected all of them to Kuro-Stomps (Surfboard Curbstomps).....accept his final one on Yamato was interrupted with a running kick from S.H.I.P's final entrant their leader Hiroto Nori.

Referee Ochida then made the signal that the match was now truly on and that eliminations could now occur. Kuro-Nadeshiko however only had one thing on their mind and that was to lay a beating on their opponents, and after seeing Sairento's Kuro-Stomp on Yamato interrupted by Nori, they soon jumped on 'Battle' and helped Sairento lay a beating on Nori.

Nori was whipped into the corner and had to suffer two consecutive running splashes from the Udon Noodle Killers, and handspring back elbow from Incognito and then a facewash from Sairento. One female fan in the front row was particularly irate at the treatment Nori was receiving, screaming 'Leave my Nori-Chan alone, go pick on somebody else'

Of course the fans 'advice' fell on deaf ears, but it's something that the Kuro quarter perhaps should have taken heed of, because all their focus on Nori, lead to the rest of S.H.I.P recovering and taking the fight to Kuro-Nadeshiko.

Amidst the chaotic brawling, S.H.I.P somewhat shockingly were able to take the lead when Yamato, Date, and Yamawaki and connected with a triple drop-kick on Ono, which sent 'Epic Tsunami' colliding into his tag partner GUSHIKEN.....with the momentum of the collision sending GUSHIKEN out to the floor.

Elimination #1: GUSHIKEN in 10:13 via top rope elimination (Collision with Ono, following triple drop-kick.)

Kuro Nadeshiko 3- S.H.I.P 4

The side's are soon levelled however when Nori and Yamato are taken down with a double clothesline from Ono and Yamawaki is nailed with a Yazuka kick from Sairento. Date was then spiked with an inverted DDT from Incognito who quickly transitioned into the Suento Permante sleeper hold, Date tried to get of the hold, but unfortunately for him Incognito was relentless in his application, whilst his S.H.I.P team mates were neutralized by Ono and Sairento. Ono hit consecutive corner splashes on Nori and Yamawaki, whilst Sairento took out Yamato with a brainbuster- leaving Date with no other choice but to tap out.

Elimination #2: Hiro Date in 12:24 via submission (Incognito- Suento Permanente)

Kuro Nadeshiko 3- S.H.I.P 3

The Kuro-Nadeshiko trio continued to dominate, with both Yamawaki and Nori eating stereo corner face-washes from Incognito and Sairento, whilst Yamato was levelled with a clothesline from Ono. 'Epic Tsunami' then planted Yamato with the Okinawa Battle Bomb (Spinning Powerbomb) to turn things round and give Kuro-Nadeshiko the man advantage

Elimination #3: Kotei Yamato in 14:09 via pinfall (Chojiro Ono- Okinawa Battle Bomb)

Kuro Nadeshiko 3- S.H.I.P 2

The S.H.I.P pair of Nori and Yamawaki continued to take a beating from the Kuro trio, who arrogantly strutted round the ring, feeling like they were now in total control of the match. However that display of arrogance came back to bite Kuro team, as Yamawaki moved out of the way of a Tsunami (Big Splash) from Ono, whilst Nori found a surge of fighting spirit to stun Sairento and Incognito with consecutive Reverse STO's. 'Yawawaki' then landed a flying leg-drop upon Ono, whilst Nori followed up with the Flying Bonito (Sky Twister Press).Nori then made the pin on Ono as Yamawaki managed to hold off Sairento and Incognito.

Elimation #4: Chojiro Ono in 17:37 via pinfall (Hiroto Nori- Flying Bonito)

Kuro Nadeshiko 2- S.H.I.P 2

The match had now become a two on two, contest and for the first time in the match you could say both sides were evenly matched in terms of their momentum within the contest. This lead to the two teams wearily brawling with one another.

Sairento sneaked a knee into Nori's groin and began to set up for the Death Note (Spike Brainbuster) only for Yamawaki to make the save. The S.H.I.P pair then combined on an double enziguri on 'Silent Reaper' before Yamawaki planted Sairento with the Sumida Bridge (Bridging Leg Hook Belly to Back Suplex) but Incognito was able to make the save with a running shooting star press.

'El Pesadilla Hermosa' then avoided a roundhouse kick from Nori, before planting the S.H.I.P leader with the Incognito Driver (Snapmare Driver)

Yamawaki made the save and then planted Incognito with the Tokyo Tower (Vertical Suplex Side Slam)......

But before he could make the cover he was nailed with the Absolute Terror (Front Knee Strike to the Face) from Sairento, and with Nori still feeling the effects of the Incognito Driver, the Kuro pair now found themselves with the advantage.

Elimination #5: Oda Yamawaki in 20:02 via pinfall (Sairento-Absolute Terror)

Kuro Nadeshiko 2- S.H.I.P 1

Nori now found himself in a two on one disadvantage, and the Kuro pair of Sairento and Incognito did not hold back on dishing out the punishment. The S.H.I.P leader endured a Kuro-Stomp (Surfboard Curbstomp) and a facewash from Sairento before Incognito headed up top and came crashing down upon 'Battle' with the Susurro De La Murte (630 Senton)....

However Nori with the cries of his number one fan ringing in his ears ' Come on Nori-Chan, don't believe in yourself, believe in the Mio that believes in you!' showed great fighting spirit by kicking out.....

Nori then got a bit of luck, when Incognito nailed Sairento with a spinning heel kick in error, before planting 'El Pesadilla Hermosa' with the Nigiri Serving (Leaping Reverse STO).....

However Nori's cover was a weak one, enabling Incognito to kick out at two, but Incognito remained rooted to the mat, as was Sairento. Seeing the situation the S.H.I.P leader decided to head up top, to set up for the Flying Bonito (Sky Twister Press).....

But Sairento was 'playing possum' and he was soon cutting Nori off from taking flight, and sending 'Battle' crashing back into the ring with an Avalanche Death Valley Driver.......

Nori was able to kick out of that, but he remained in trouble and Sairento spiked 'Battle' with the Death Note (Spike Brainbuster)......

Nori has shown plenty of fighting spirit, but the two on one advantage he had to endure at the end of the match, was too much of an uphill battle for him to fend off, as the Kuro-Nadeshiko team emerged with the victory.

Final Elimination: Hiroto Nori in 24:31 via pinfall (Incognito- Incognito Driver)

Kuro Nadeshiko 2- S.H.I.P 0

Result: Sairento, Incognito, GUSHIKEN & Chojiro Ono bt Hiroto Nori, Kotei Yamato, Oda Yamawaki & Hiro Date in a Makoto Style Elimination in 24:31 by 2 survivors (Hiroto Nori was the final elimination)

Rating: 78

Takayuki Balls: Entertaining contest, at it's actually quite refreshing to see a match like this not come down to the final man for each team- the story here is that S.H.I.P showed plenty of fighting spirit (especially Nori at the end) but Kuro were able to make the most of having the man advantage for most of the match.

Post Match Comments:

Incognito (in spanish): I showed tonight that losing Junior Tag Title match was not my fault, I did Sairento proud and I am not selfish. I am a team player, Sairento will be proud of me helping him win, surely I deserve title shot!

Just days after defending his Super Junior Championship against Sairento and Hiroto Nori, Prime Dragon is now faced with a challenge from Tian Long, could the Kuro veteran take full advantage of the situation?

Cagey first five minutes with them locking up and then taking it to the mat, they go hold for hold until Long sneaks a quick roll-up. Dragon manages to kick out of that, much to Long's frustration, and then nails the 'Imperial One' with a rolling wheel kick.

Long staggers out of the ring for a powder, but Dragon being the savvy veteran that he is does not give chase and just waits for Long to get back into the ring. They lock up again and Dragon manages to get Long in the Dragon's Bite (Inverted Facelock Sleeper) but the Imperial One is not worn down enough for that to be truly effective, and Long manages to battle his way to the ropes.

Long then gets in a cheap shot on the rope-break and turns things into his favour with a DDT on Dragon for a two count. The Chinese born veteran then kept up the pressure by targetting the neck of the 'Grand Pillar' with a hangman's neckbreaker bringing a two count for the 'Imperial One'......

Dragon then found himself being locked into the Dynasty Lock (Inverted STF), Long had the hold synched in right in the middle of the ring but the 'Grand Pillar' showed plenty of fighting spirit by making it to the ropes.

Long then paced around in frustration, before being stunned with a rolling wheel kick from Dragon. A palm strike and a Prime Driver (Over The Shoulder Belly to Back Piledriver ) followed.....

But the champion was too worn down to go for an immediate cover. After getting another burst of energy and seeing that Long was still rooted to the mat Dragon went for the Dragonsault (Springboard moonsault) but the 'Imperial One' got the knees up and quickly rolled Dragon up with a schoolboy......

Dragon kicked out, but was once again entrapped in the Dynasty Lock (Inverted STF).....

This time the champion looked to be fading......

Referee Sugimura raised Dragon's hand......

No response......

Sugimura raised it again......

Still no response.......

Sugimura takes one last look......

The 'Grand Pillar' still had some fighting spirit left and he managed to somehow battle his way out of the hold, and then turn things round with a basement drop-kick to Long. Dragon then went for a Rolling Wheel Kick, but the 'Imperial One' was able to sidestep that and come back with a stiff elbow shot followed by a chokeslam.

Long then waited for Dragon to stagger back up to his feet, before applying a Full Nelson and dumping the 'Grand Pillar' with a Dragon Suplex........

Long paced around in frustration, but he remained in control and set Dragon up for the Emperor Driver (Sitout Side Powerslam) only for the champion to block the attempt and counter into a Prime Driver (Over The Shoulder Belly to Back Piledriver).......

Dragon's cover was a weak one and a failure to hook the leg, probably kept Long in the match. The 'Grand Pillar' then deciced to head up top, but he took too long doing so and that allowed for Long to recover and bring Dragon crashing back into the ring with a hurracanrana.

The 'Imperial One' then reseized control with a clothesline, before planting Dragon with the Emperor Driver (Sitout Side Powerslam)....

Dragon frustrated Long yet again by kicking out at about two and nine tenths......

Long then stomped away on Dragon for a bit, before dragging the champion into position and then heading up top. Long looked set to come crashing down upon the 'Grand Pillar' with the Corkscrew From Heaven (Corkscrew Senton) but he was suddenly stunned with a leaping palm-strike from Dragon who then joined Long on the top-rope to send the 'Imperial One' crashing back into the ring with the Dragon's Flame (Moonsault Side Slam)

Long had dominated much of the match, but Dragon once again showed that he has an unbreakable fighting spirit to be champion.

Result: Prime Dragon [w] bt Tian Long [L] in 17:43 via pinfall (Dragon's Flame)

Takayuki Balls: This was still a pretty strong match, but not as strong as it could have been due to both of them being pretty tired. That I will admit was my fault, I should have had the forward planning to have this title match the following week or maybe the week after that, rather than the next show after a major PPV- where everyone is pretty beat up- especially considering both Dragon-san and Long-San are well into their forties.

Prime Dragon then got on the microphone

' Long-san you thought you could come in here and take advantage of my weakened state, but I have the heart of a champion and I will continue to fight till the very end. Not that I would never have let it happen but I wonder what would have happened had Long-san won the belt from me, because it seems to me that he was in for winning that title for himself but was pulled back into line by Sairento-san .....

No actually I don't wonder at all, who could care less about Kuro's petty squabbles, much like Sairento's silent whining about rules being in my favour, the rules in that match were the same for me, I had every opportunity to lose that title but I battled through to the very end, because I am a champion, a champion who will never give up!'

Overall: 75

Overall: Not a bad show, but the Kansai crowd a usually bit more lively than this and this felt like something of a hangover after the party. Had the main events been spectacular, rather than solid then this show would have felt like less of a mild let-down.
