Guest Booker Legacy: The Pro Wrestling Integrity of Shane Allman

(OOC: Thanks to those of you who have voted for this diary in this month's DOTM. If this is your type of thing, go over and cast a vote for it. If it isn't, vote for your fave and be a part of our little community. Also, I noticed I took a malicious star rating hit from the mysterious invisible one-star rater of ill-repute. What hurts me about it the most is, as you know, the star rating is directly related to the amount of revenue I'm able to bring in writing this. I hope I'm going to be okay, but I'm not sure.

-Show #9-

PWI: Integrity, Tradition, Honor

LIVE Saturday on NCTV

Washington State Gymnasium (NW) 2,000 (Sold Out)

-This week’s PWI starts with the stock camera pan around the arena, but as Dave Carrasco and January Kyle begin to sell the show and start to transition into a video about tomorrow night’s pay-per-view “Night of Glory”, the shot stops and refocuses on a dark haired man sitting in the cheap seats. “Who is….

<a href="

http://s179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/?action=view&current=SevenBrandt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/SevenBrandt.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

“I KNOW WHO THAT IS; IT’S SEVEN BRANDT! HE’S WITH PWSUX! SECURITY! SECURITY!”

In seconds, the man is swarmed by both arena security and the plain clothes police officers that were undercover amongst the crowd. He doesn’t fight; he just stands up, lets them cuff him, and begins walking back up the concrete staircase toward the exits. Carrasco is uncharacteristically livid, yelling: “GET HIM OUT OF HERE! THROW HIS ASS IN JAIL AND MAKE HIM AN EXAMPLE TO THE REST OF THOSE PWSUX IDIOTS!" (C+)

-On the heels of that tense opening, our first match takes place. Nick Hart, the eldest Hart brother, is introduced first, and he looks especially focused after taking the loss in last week’s main event. His opponent, the man who put his shoulders down to the mat, TV Champion Silva Dolla, comes to the ring amidst his usual barrage of gunfire, sirens, and red lights before stripping off his flak jacket and police hat and heading straight for Hart. We are treated to quite the contest between them, too. Nick’s always tough, technically based mat attack versus Dolla’s thug-you-very-much punch and stomp style makes for an interesting contrast. And the end comes very much out of the blue. James Gilmour-Hart, scheduled to wrestle in tonight’s six man main event, hustles down the aisle, apparently coming to the ring to cheer Nick on. But the momentary distraction of spotting him on his way down is the only window Silva Dolla needs, booting Hart in the belly and nailing him with a “Dolla Maker” (stunner) for the win. (B)

-After a near backstage brawl two weeks ago and a match that was thrown out last week because neither team could contain themselves before the bell, our next match pitting the PWI Tag Team Champions, The Bollywood Knights, against Anderson Peters and Chris Candell, The No Frills Unit, is a doozy. Hard hitting to say the least, the relative inexperience of Peters and Candell as partners proves to be their undoing as Singh traps Peters in a sleeper hold far away from the NFU’s corner. He waves and battles, but never crosses the halfway point in the ring, dropping to one knee before passing out. (D+)

-Following our first commercial break, Ethan Paro joins Dave Carrasco and January Kyle at ringside to hype this Sunday’s Heavyweight Title match at “Night of Glory” against Scott Hart. Almost on cue, the music of his bitter directionless brother, Jay, hits. His bout with El Estandar is up next. (C+)

-Jay is distracted throughout the match, first just glaring at Ethan as he sits at the broadcast location, but eventually running his mouth and yelling obscenities at his brother on the eve of his biggest career opportunity to date. Estandar is game, being spurred on by “Boston Suplex Machine” Mike O’Reilly at ringside, but Jay’s rage is visible and the masked former TV champion is in the unfortunate position of absorbing some of it. With an impressive run of vicious offense, Jay leaves Estandar down in the middle on the ring, springing to the top rope before landing his amazing “End of Days” (late swanton) for the win. Paro slides across the ring after the pinfall and jaws with O’Reilly, leaving before the stout suplex aficionado can get into the ring himself.©

-Vance Cole is outside of the arena, talking to Seven Brandt as he is held in the back of a police car. After a few tense moments, Brandt tells Cole he was fired by PWSUX and that he is here looking for his next career opportunity. Cole gives it a few seconds of thought before saying he’ll have the officers release him and that they can discuss a contract....after his story checks out. (C+)

-Another whopper of a six man tag team match is our main event. Even though his title defense against Ethan Paro is less than twenty four hours away, Scott Hart joins James Gilmour-Hart, and veteran Shay Kinsella (who was announced before the show as Silva Dolla’s challenger for the TV Title at “Night of Glory”) against the VHB and Ryan Doherty. And as you might expect, the action is off the walls, with enough stiff, hard hitting offense for everyone. JGH goes on a late run, clearing the ring and looking to be very close to going for one of his finishers. But the VHB are a potent tandem and somehow manage to simultaneously snatch a portion of his tights, trying to pull him over their shoulders and out of the ring. But the referee gets caught in the sandwich and is dropped, leading to all six men flooding the ring and going to battle. After a couple of minutes of action, another referee sprints down to ringside and calls for the bell, not even bothering to try to reign in the action. (C+)

-As the show ends, with the action still raging, and Dave Carrasco begins putting it to bed, leading into a final mash up of clips intended to hype “Night of Glory”…….

There is…

Static…

Suddenly, a different video rolls. It is a replay of the two production trailers blowing up. This time, however, the shot is from a different viewpoint, first person. You can hear a male chuckling to himself as he casts a Molotov cocktail into the already gasoline soaked scene, sending it all up skyward. The shot takes a few steps and gives a look at the PWI t-shirts burning nearby as well before it fades back into static.

Carrasco and Kyle sit silent until the credits roll. (B-)

Finisher: Brainbuster/Triple Jump Moonsault

Kristopher Felix is an all-rounder from Michigan who has seen a career renaissance as of late. Originally fairly bland, Kris travelled the independent circuit and wrestled for anyone who would take him. In 2008, feeling that his time was probably running out to make an impact on the sport, he reinvented himself as Kris Phoenix, portraying a dark, almost cult-like figure and training towards a flashier technical style. Finding untapped ability to work a microphone, Kris adopted a leather-coated, '80s vampire style guide and as a result his bookings jumped up. After a very successful run in the latter half of 2009 with CMLL and a tour with UPJ, Phoenix wound up being hired as one of four cruiserweight comrades in CWT toward the end of that year, but his push fizzled quicker than the division itself.

Upon signing with PWI, Phoenix has impressed with his distinct offensive style, but has yet to get into a winning groove. However, also wrestling part time with ILL, the Mexican arm of the PWI-led National Wrestling Alliance, Phoenix is embroiled in one of their hottest feuds, having a series of superb matches with the devil himself, Luzbel.

Another set of awesome shows (and wrestler profiles) that looks to set up yet another fantastic PPV event. Really like the slow build on the PWSUX invasion too.

Don't worry about the one-star, it has happened to every single jhdVerse diary so far

Really enjoy this diary.

After doing slave labor for jdh1 in his universe I have come to really enjoy it (plus it is easier to jump on board something fairly new cannon-wise).

This dairy makes me like the universe even more, Mr.Dolla especially.

Excellent work.

Good shows. I haven't been posting as much since I don't have much specific to say, but I like how you're slowly building the PWSUX invasion angle.

No worries, glad to have you onboard and following along.

A lot of the profiles are the stock stuff from the file itself; if you haven't given the jhdverse a try, it's really worth a look. Just a lot of blank space and unexplored area. And all of my side watcher games have been wildly different, with unpredictability reigning supreme, which is awesome.

The PWSUX invasion is the big thing I've got going right now, I think, with a few layers of the onion left to be peeled away. There's going to be Guest Booker about the booking strategy of the company up until this point versus how it'll be going forward which I think you'll find interesting.

And, if it hasn't come through in the story, I'm pretty geeked up about that particular angle, too.

Thanks Yoshi. I'm the biggest fan of Silva Dolla, too. He writes himself at this point already where I am still trying to get a feel for others. Is his character super original? Is anything in pro wrestling?

PWI: "Night of Glory

LIVE Sunday on PPV

From Laurent Ballroom (NE)

-Full Preview-

Pro Wrestling Integrity, the only destination for the refined wrestling fan, proudly presents our annual February supercard, “Night of Glory”, available for your viewing pleasure this Sunday night at 8:00pm exclusively on PPV-4-U.

Television Champion Silva Dolla has ripped off six successful defenses since beating El Estandar for the title in his first PWI appearance on PWI TV. Sunday, however, the level of competition ratchets up substantially when former PWI Heavyweight Champion Shay Kinsella steps into the ring to oppose him. Kinsella has some impressive showings under his belt, including a dominant win over Kris Phoenix two weeks ago, and is no stranger to the big match. But Dolla seems to be living a charmed life since his arrival, his “Dolla Maker” claiming victim after victim. Will his string of successes continue or will Kinsella be the one who succeeds where he failed last month and finally recapture gold after his near seven year layoff?

Commissioner Vance Cole has ordered two “showcase” matches onto the card, giving him a better opportunity to see four select singles wrestlers in action, with the understanding that a good showing will boost someone up the card. In the first bout, Cole has selected Ryan Doherty, finally healthy after battling a host of injuries resulting from his reckless style, to take on, in his PWI debut, PWSUX defector, Seven Brandt. The second showcase match will feature high-flying Bryce Christensen stepping into the ring to take on the sulking, aimless, Jay Paro. One of these four men will stand out, impress Commissioner Vance Cole, and see their career hit the fast track. Who will it be?

The Bollywood Knights have the unenviable task of defending their PWI Tag-Team Titles against not one, not two, but three other teams at “Night of Glory”. Looking to walk out of Vermont with the belts are the No Frills Unit, Anderson Peters and Chris Candell, who the Bollywoods have been tangling with of late, the British Hart Foundation, made up of Nick Hart and James Gilmour Hart, and the Van Holt Brotherhood. Both the Harts and the VHB are former champions whose ongoing feud produces great match after great match. Add to that, Peters and Candell’s personal score to settle with both Singh and Vidur. Will the arrogant young movie producers be able to leave the arena with their title reign intact?

And in our main event, Scott Hart puts his nearly eleven month long PWI Heavyweight Championship reign atop the company against the fastest rising star in professional wrestling today, Ethan Paro. Admittedly, Scott Hart’s schedule has been very rigorous in recent months, defending the PWI Title around the world, while at the same time, holding up his part of the endless Hart Foundation/VHB feud alongside his brother Nick. But when PWSUX chose to attack PWI, they made Scott their target, decimating him outside of the McGaw arena in New York City. Ethan Paro is coming on like a phoenix, rising from the ashes of his former tag team and turning into a bona fide superstar along the way with some big wins over his brother Jay, Ryan Doherty, and maybe the biggest, a six way barnburner to become the number one contender. Is this finally the moment; the time in our history where a torch is passed from one legend to the next legend, or will it simply be another day at the office for one of the best wrestlers in the world today?

All of this, PLUS, with many NWA dignitaries on hand, there will be a major announcement regarding the National Wrestling Alliance and the crowning of the first ever NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

I echo the sentiments on the slow build to the PWSEX storyline. Given the segment that put everything in motion, I've loved the way how you've continued it so far, because it's always very tempting with large-scale storylines, like a promotion vs. promotion conflict, to blow your creative load too quickly. I'm keenly anticipating Night Of Glory, because with all that being said, something big is going down, because the NWA Board of Directors will be in town and despite Cole's assurances, all bets are off.

Predict-a-ma-bob...

Scott Hart vs. Ethan Paro

-PWI Heavyweight Title Match-

I expect Hart to reach the 1 year mark with the belt at least, plus if the PWSUX shenanigans escalate, it makes sense (to me) for him to still be the top dog in PWI and Paro can still come out of this looking good.

Silva Dolla vs. Shay Kinsella

-PWI TV Title Match-

Dolla is gold.

Bollywood Knights vs. NFU vs. Hart Foundation vs. VHB

-PWI Tag Team Title Match-

Tough to call, but I think VHB take the belts, just not at the expense of the Harts.

Jay Paro vs. Bryce Christensen

Seven Brandt vs. Ryan Doherty

Wins for the new recruits.

Finisher: Cattle Mutilation

Phillip James Brandt is an American wrestler whose entire character is really an extension of his own straight edge beliefs. Whether preaching or praising, "Seven" Brandt is one of the most charismatic young wrestlers on the scene today. But where Brandt really stands out is his ability to back up his talk in the ring, and the Philly native is not only an excellent brawler, but a good mat technician and high-flyer, too.

Brandt was one of the final five contestants in the PWSUX 2011 GoreBrawl - a good sign that the straight edge superstar might have been headed for a strong push in 2012. But his subsequent release when PWSUX fell on its most difficult financial times ever earlier this month left him on the doorstep of Vance Cole and PWI. It became an opportunity that Cole couldn’t pass up, even given the company’s current battle with PWSUX; adding a young talent like Seven is a huge coup for the Boston based promotion.

Interesting to note: Brandt’s finisher, the cattle mutilation, is one of the most feared on the indy circuit today. And Brandt’s influence is bound to be felt in wrestling’s next generation. The one and only class of trainees he produced during his time running the RPW dojo are among the best and most sought after in the business today.

<strong>Silva Dolla vs. Shay Kinsella </strong> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

When Dolla finally stops talking, Shay Kinsella is introduced to quite a nice ovation from the packed ballroom. And as soon as the bell rings, Kinsella is the aggressor, peppering the TV Champion with several martial-arts style kicks and doing his best to keep him on the mat, boring the ringside superfans with a few too many rest-holds, but it is a sound strategy, hoping to wear out the much bigger Dolla. However, it doesn’t work. Dolla seems to be playing right into his hands for a bit too long; Kinsella senses it, but it is too late. He comes cruising in with an “Urbana Native” (superkick), hoping to seal the deal, but Dolla is waiting, ducking it and stepping into Kinsella at just the right time to lay him flat with a “Dolla Maker” (stunner). His lazier-than-lazy leg hook and grill-flashing tells the rest of the tale, but Carrasco does his job and gets in a few words to tidy things up.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “The thing about Silva Dolla is that, even as much as he runs his mouth, he has been able to back up everything he says. I hate that.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

A short video plays showing the progression of the two stories that will converge in the next match, the four team tag team title scramble. First, the champions current back and forth with the No Frills Unit is chronicled, going back over the time Singh pie-faced Candell the night he debuted with PWI and showing clips of their fight that caused their first match to get thrown out. The video closes with a high speed montage of all the times the VHB and the Harts have tangled in PWI rings over the years with the words “PWI’s Most Legendary Feud” scrolling over the mix as it plays.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

-PWI Tag Team Title Tornado Tag Four Way-</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Even with two referees assigned to the match, having eight men (nine if you count the VHB’s manager, Jimmy South) to control during such a high stakes bout proves to be too much and this one is all over the place. Both teams get it on with each other, but as you might figure, the squads with personal issues with one team in particular tend to gravitate more toward that team. The NFU and the Bollywoods have a great stand-off on the apron that ends with all four men crumbling under the weight of Candell’s backflip somersault, giving some much needed room for the VHB and the Harts to operate. Martin and Jesse hit Nick with a double russian legsweep and move toward JGH, but he is ready and turns the tables on them completely, running them around the ring and dropping them time after time with clotheslines and back elbows, getting ready to snatch one of them for his powerslam. But Jimmy South gets JGH’s attention from the floor and slows his roll through the VHB, giving them a chance to regroup. When he comes back, fresh from a tussle with the tiny loudmouthed manager and an even tinier referee over South’s ever-present megaphone, he walks right into a “Van-Holtinator” (Spike Pedigree). Chris Candell rolls back into the ring as it happens and eats a vicious “Van Holtinator” of his own, laying right beside JGH. Martin and Jesse look at each other before South yells to urge them on- Jesse grabs Candell’s far leg and hooks it tight. The three count comes and the VHB look at each other, stunned, before hugging. Nick Hart picks himself up and crawls beside JGH to check on him as the VHB begin celebrating with the belts next to him.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “SIX TIMES; THE VAN-HOLT BROTHERHOOD ARE THE PWI TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS FOR THE SIXTH TIME! AMAZING!”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

JK: “And they had to beat the Hart’s to do it!”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “Well, technically, they didn’t beat them-beat them did they? They took the belts from the Bollywood Knights by beating the No Frills Unit….”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

JK: “It’s the same thing in my book.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Vance Cole comes out after the VHB clear out, hustling toward the ring to a nice ovation. After stopping at ringside and shaking hands with the various NWA officials and dignitaries on hand for tonight’s major announcement concerning the crowning of the first NWA Champion, Cole quickly grabs a folding chair and pulls it alongside the timekeeper. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “Commissioner Cole’s showcase matches are scheduled to be up next. No doubt, he wants a ringside seat.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bryce Christensen vs. Jay Paro</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Cole looks to be right on with his picks as this one unfolds. Both Bryce Christensen and Jay Paro bring their “A” games, knowing what an opportunity a win could lead to. Christensen takes the lead from the opening bell, crossing Paro’s eyes with a flipping soccer-style back-kick before driving his face into the mat with a monstrous running bulldog. The former AWF tag-team standout starts to looks as though he is steering the match into port, dropping the brooding Jay onto his head with a backdrop and turning him the right way before sitting up on the top rope, crouched in wait. But when he finds the right moment and comes off with his huge-air legdrop….and Jay has moved out of the way, he is done and Paro sinks his teeth into the match, biting off big chunks. All at once, Christensen is back up on the top rope, but he is quickly superplexed backward and dragged into place for Jay’s finisher.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “This move is a thing of beauty fans; love Jay Paro or hate him, this swanton is a sight to see.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

He stands upright only for a second before coming cruising through the sky and crashing down upon Christensen with his ‘End of Days” (late swanton), sending both men scattering like they were just involved in a car wreck. It takes him a second, but Jay crawls over and makes the cover- Christensen cannot kick out and the bell rings wildly.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “And that was a big, big win for Jay Paro, who is a guy who needs something like this to get him back on track.” </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

JK: “I agree, but he doesn’t even look excited, Dave. He just won a huge match and….not even a smile. I’ll just come out and say it: I wonder if the split with Ethan ruined him for good.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><a href="</p><a href="http://s179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/?action=view&current=VanceCole.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://s179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/?action=view&current=VanceCole.jpg"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/VanceCole.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/VanceCole.jpg"</a> border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

There is another quick shot of Vance Cole at ringside, putting the finishing touches on what appear to be a serious set of notes taken during the first of his showcase matches. He notices the cameras on him and looks toward the timekeeper somewhat bewildered before making the ‘let’s go’ gesture toward him. The various representatives of the NWA, seated at ringside, smile and share a chuckle as Cole sweats. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Ryan Doherty vs. Seven Brandt</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

While the fans love Doherty, they are skeptical about Seven Brandt, the PWSUX defector, and treat him as such, with a weird mix of boos and silence during his introduction. But they are quickly won over as, much like Brandt’s PWSUX fans; they love his Japanese influenced strong-style kicks and punches and his modern, always evolving, offensive move-set. When he lays Doherty flat with a death valley driver, the match appears to be almost over, but Doherty’s legendary resolve plays a role in the proceedings. So much so, in fact, that he finds himself on the top rope with Seven reeling and looking apt to walk into anything. But when he comes leaping off, Brandt demolishes him with a spinning back-kick that leaves the longtime fan favorite in a heap. Very methodically, Brandt is on him, dropping him with a T-Bone suplex before hooking his arms and bridging into him- hard- with the cattle mutilation. Almost immediately, Doherty begins waving and tapping, giving up. Seven lets him go immediately and even kneels beside him with the referee for a moment until Doherty signals he is alright. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “Well if that wasn’t impressive, I don’t know what is. Seven Brandt just took one of the very best wrestlers in this company’s history to the cleaners.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

JK: “And his finisher, the cattle mutilation, is ridiculous, isn’t it? I’m excited to see him again. He’s scheduled for another match on PWI TV this week, right?”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “He is, yes, although now, with this win, I’m not sure who his opponent will be. But let’s not forget, it’s only one match. He’s still got the stink of PWSUX on him. We have to keep our eye on him.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><a href="</p><a href="http://s179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/?action=view&current=VanceCole.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://s179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/?action=view&current=VanceCole.jpg"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/VanceCole.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/VanceCole.jpg"</a> border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Vance Cole claps as Brandt and Doherty clear out of the ring. He grabs the microphone and heads toward where the NWA reps are sitting, enjoying the event with their various guests. It is obvious that PWI, as the host, is laying it on very thick with them as their guests are arm-loaded with merchandise and everyone’s beer is full to the top. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

“Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great pleasure that I announce, alongside the other members of the National Wrestling Alliance, that we will crown our first ever World Heavyweight Champion next month at PWI Night of Intensity. During the month, each NWA affiliate will have a tournament or series of matches to determine who will represent them, with inter-promotional matches happening at special events all month long.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

People cheer. The NWA people all smile and nod and enjoy their ice-cream and nachos.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

“So that means, NWA fans, if you’re one of those people always on the message board wishing you could see someone from another part of the country in your hometown promotion…well, here’s your chance. Buy your tickets online tonight; they go on sale immediately following our main event……”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The ringside fans stand.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Scott Hart vs. Ethan Paro</strong></p><p><strong>

-PWI Heavyweight Championship Match-</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Ethan Paro takes a long time during his introduction and appears to be going over his match strategy in his head as he walks the aisle. He goes the wrong way though and tries too hard from the opening bell; he knows it is up to him to take the belt from Scott Hart rather than wait for Hart to lose the belt to him. And he dumps out his offensive backpack, using the whole f’n arsenal in an attempt to wear down the nearly year-long reigning PWI Champion. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

It does not work.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Hart wades through the whole thing, always on the lookout for Ethan’s tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, but short of that, withstands everything the young, blonde superstar can dish out.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

And then he makes his move.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Scott Hart is an old-school, English mat wrestling nut and begins breaking down Ethan piece by piece, focusing on Paro’s legs as many of his favorite submission holds are ones that contort the legs. And the first time he even looks for the figure four, his finisher, after a pair of stomps and a spinning-toe-hold, it is a tough escape for Paro.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

But even after making it to the ring ropes, Ethan Paro is flat on his back when Scott comes crashing down with an axe-handle elbow drop from the second rope and re-applies the figure four. Paro grabs at his leg, crazily. Wildly even.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “Can Ethan Paro take another Scott Hart figure-four?”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

JK: “It looks like he’s hanging on! He’s fighting! He’s hanging on! He’s fighting! He’s hanging on! But! But… it looks like…."</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “Yes, he’s fading; Ethan Paro is fading, ladies and gentlemen!”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Paro claws the mat, trying to gain even an inch toward the ropes, but his body begins to betray him and he starts to lose consciousness. Through it all he continues to fight, even as he slowly fades out. At one point, very close to passing out, Paro’s shoulders hit the mat….and don’t move until after the referee has slapped the mat a third time.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Scott Hart hops up to celebrate his win, arm in the air, but he quickly slumps into the far side turnbuckles. Ethan Paro lays curled up on the logo, cradling his leg…..</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><a href="</p><a href="http://s179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/?action=view&current=Cross.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://s179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/?action=view&current=Cross.jpg"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/Cross.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w286/NoNeck_photo/Cross.jpg"</a> border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><p> </p><p>

<strong>“WHAT? HOW?”</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Cross appears, standing above the raucous fans on a folding chair on one of the nearside balconies. He quickly draws a spotlight and, as you might expect, the security, both in uniform, and secretly hidden plain clothes officers all begin to swarm the balcony. But as they all charge they clog the two staircases going up and have to battle through the amped crowd to move at all. Suddenly, Cross begins waving to the back.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The massive Ram Diablo comes rumbling down to the ring, coming from a side near the backstage area. Trailing him, The Brooklyn Bully and Crazy Jack, each wielding a baseball bat, are on high alert, almost escorting Diablo to the ring. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “How did they even get in here? This place is on total lockdown!”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Once he is there, stripping off his jean jacket and comically pretending to limber up while he climbs the ring steps, Bully and Crazy Jack head off, coming back seconds later carrying the tables from the concessions and merchandise area from the back part of the arena. They maneuver them through the traffic quicker than the security (who are only now realizing that they’ve been tricked) can head back toward the ring and slide them to Ram Diablo as he stands face to face with Scott Hart.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Hart doesn’t wait, rocking back, ready to throw hands. But Diablo pulls a hammer from under his sleeveless jean-jacket and just seeing it stops the PWI Champion in his tracks. The Brooklyn Bully, not seen by Hart, slides into the ring behind him and levels him with his baseball bat before dropping it and going to work on the still downed Ethan Paro. Diablo braces a table in the corner- Bully and Crazy Jack flatten both Paro and Scott Hart with a double flapjack apiece before Diablo lifts the just-about-unconscious Paro back to his feet and whips him into the table in the corner, annihilating him.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

But they are not done.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Ram Diablo drags Hart out of the ring and drapes him across the other folding table that they had left set-up, outside the ring. But Crazy Jack pulls him off and yells something to Diablo, something that makes him smile. Bully comes over and douses the table with lighter fluid and sets it ablaze as Jack helps Hart into the arms of Ram Diablo, now sitting on the top rope. The heat pushes the front row fans back: Diablo only takes a second before he stands up with Hart on his shoulders and powerbombs him through the fiery mass below, blowing it all into flaming fragments. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: “OH MY GOD!”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Security, finally unstuck, start heading down the aisles toward the ring. But by now, with the damage done, Ram Diablo, Crazy Jack, and The Brooklyn Bully hop the nearest barricade and begin pushing through the fans. The ring fills with security and many of the boys in the back follow, but the PWSUX guys are out the door as quickly as they appeared.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

DC: "I'm at a loss...."</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<p>Excellent PPV NoNeck. Another beautifully executed set-piece for the finale. I love the possible permeations too. How are Diablo & co staying ahead of the game? I also find my eyes narrowing towards Bryce Christensen, I would have had a predictions clean-sweep if not for him.</p><p> </p><p>

On a side note. When I started booking Brandt, I had a Cattle Mutilation in mind for a default finisher as well. For whatever reason, I went for the Seventh Sign as a Styles Clash instead (straight into pinfall) and gave Brandt an additional '7UP Combo', which is essentially a martial arts combo topped off with a KO blow. CM works well though. I was thinking of renaming something like 'Seven Deadly Sins' and using it as a more occasional/special move.</p>

The Pro Wrestling Integrity of Shane Allman

-Part One of Three-

“I won’t go ahead and call myself a lazy booker, but I will say that I’m guilty of a few things that lazy booker’s do. So, you know, do with that what you will.”

“For example, I have been using the six man tag team main event to death. I believe I’ve said that already, once before, but I can’t help it. At this early juncture, knowing what sort of firepower I’m going to need going forward, I have to get every single top end guy over as much as possible. And the six man tag main event, or the six man tag in general is the way to do it.”

“I’m not under the illusion that we aren’t going to lose people along the way; I get that. Eventually someone is going to think they deserve more money than they are drawing and I’m going to let one of the other companies take on that albatross. I may even try to bid them up in some cases, or push a worker’s overness up a little bit more when their contract gets close to expiring. Rather than burying someone on their way out, something I will also do, depending on the worker, you can instead, give them a couple of quasi-meaningless wins over an established upper carder and drive up their asking price even more.”

“Tyler Mercury is someone I threw under the bus. I didn’t know he was signing with the AWF until after the fact. I was backed into a corner; he forced my hand.”

“In fact, going forward, I’ll probably bury anyone who announces they’ve signed with the AWF before I can negotiate with them. But, given the opportunity, especially knowing I wasn’t going to bother offering them a contract anyway, and especially if they were ticketed for the AWF, through rumor or circumstance, I’d run up their asking price.”

“There’s more than one way to bankrupt a company. Having too many bloated contracts as part of a pissing contest-like inter-promotional war is one of them.”

Awesome. I don't know this universe well, but I'm enjoying every minute of learning about it. Great work, NoNeck

Awesome, Shutout28. Glad to have you back in the fold as a reader again. I'm trying to lay some of the recurring descriptive terms I use to talk about people on really thick hoping to help in understanding the universe.

That's also one of the reasons I have avoided (up until now) any talk of the goings on outside of PWI save for a tidbit here or there. I didn't want to burden the reader with having to contextualize an entirely brand new universe all at once.

As the NWA World Title Tournament happens, and going forward after that, I'll be keeping you all more informed about the happenings of both the NWA promotions and the company in our cross-hairs, the AWF.

Excellent PPV NoNeck. Another beautifully executed set-piece for the finale. I love the possible permeations too. How are Diablo & co staying ahead of the game? How long will it be before Brand finds himself under scrutiny from the PWI locker room for his PWSUX links? What additional pressures will the NWA tournament bring with other outsiders competing in a PWI ring? Question, questions and more questions!

I also find my eyes narrowing towards Bryce Christensen, I would have had a predictions clean-sweep if not for him.

I was thinking of renaming something like 'Seven Deadly Sins' and using it as a more occasional/special move.

Sebs, everything you said is spot on. When writing a diary, one can only hope to have comments like that left after a big show. The questions left unanswered after that PPV are leading us by the nose into the next one, which is a hallmark of good booking.

Shane Allman knows what's up. ;)

I don't quite know why I went the the CM, but it's funny you brought it up. I think my mind jumped from Punk, who is an obvious comparison point, just based on the straight edge thing, over to Danielson when thinking about moves. I wanted to use the GTS, but couldn't convince myself to do it. I love that move, especially Kenta's version, which is awesomely super stiff.

To keep you all updated on the progress of this diary,we've got two more parts of the three part Guest Booker installment and a Wrestler Profile (one of the last, I think) to get to before the next show.

Hope everyone is enjoying GBL; I might be having my best diary/savegame experience ever.

Best,

NN

-Part Two of Three-

“I can’t tell you how much losing out in the Terry Thunder bidding war pissed me off. That was something I really wanted to comment on before we moved forward. That and the last PPV.”

“But…..the thing with Thunder…. it all fell apart because he NEEDED a creative control clause. I had included all of the other perks: all of them, travel, good merch percentage , even a title run, which pretty much guaranteed he’d be at the very top of the company for the duration of his contract.”

“And you know what? No dice. He stopped negotiations after only two offers.”

“He still hasn’t signed with the AWF yet, but I get the feeling that they’ll get around to it sooner or later. Their shows have been getting pretty good ratings lately, which is something that we’ll be having an update on soon, their activity, CWT’s activity and the rest of the NWA companies, too, for that matter.”

“But anyway, when he does sign there, and I’m ninety-eight percent sure that he will, I’d expect it to boost them up even further, so we need to start making some hay here pretty quickly and get our foothold.”

"Keeping Scott Hart on top and putting the VHB back in the lead in the tag ranks are stabilizers that'll keep us steady."

“Not only that, but we sort of, might’ve, could’ve made a signing of our own. Maybe. I’m just doing a little speculating. Wink-wink. Nudge-nudge.”

“And besides, the thing we’ve got cooking with PWSUX is going to give us both the ratings and the buzz that we’re looking for now that I’ve kind of gotten things squared away roster-wise.”

“The thing of it is, though……”

"When it comes to the PWSUX story...."

“You don’t even know the half of it yet.”

-Part Three of Three-

“I had a hard time deciding if I was going to share this with you so early on….”

“But in my never ending attempt to do something that has never been done, which in the world of professional wrestling is nearly impossible, I think I might’ve stumbled upon something that could change the course of…..”

“Jesus, saying ‘changing the course of history’ is a big deal, you know?”

“But this…..this thing, this idea, the way I’ve structured our thing with PWSUX…. It’s easily one of the most tremendous things I have ever come up with.”

“No, scratch that. It IS the most tremendous thing I’ve ever come up with.”

“Wait?”

“What?”

“We’ve got a ‘Wrestler Profile’ to run and our take-out food is here?”

“Okay, never mind, we’ll get to that later. Thanks for buying these DVD’s. When I get my check from the Guest Booker people, I’m going to buy Chinese take-out food every day until I die.”

“Or at least a year, depending on whether my heart expires before my bank account does. One or the other.”

“But no, I’m serious. You think this PWSUX thing is just another invasion angle, don’t you?”

“You’re going to mark your shorts when this thing plays itself out, fanboy. That’s a promise.”

Ht: 5'10 Ht: 5'8

WT: 200 Wt: 225

Finisher: Slingshot Suplex

Anderson Peters is a Canadian wrestler who trained with the great Kenta Sonoda in Japan. Peters became a regular in United Promotions during the early 2000s, until visa issues forced him to return to North America. A year in Canadian promotion Great North Wrestling led to Peters getting booked in Pro Wrestling Integrity where his classic puroresu training fits perfectly.

Since joining PWI in 2008, Peters has been a solid hand, capturing the Television and Tag Team titles in those eighteen months.

This past month has marked a new chapter in Peters’ career, being the stable veteran in a tag team with a diamond in the rough, Chris Candell, forming the No Frills Unit, a black trunks, boots, knee-pads, no entrance music, stiff-as-all-get-out tag team.

Chris "Slip" Candell came to prominence as one half of AWF tag team Slip & Slide, a young duo playing the gimmick of two fitness freaks. Despite the terrible gimmick, both Slip and Slide are pretty good wrestlers and Candell in particular has the makings of a fantastic middleweight.

The fans, however, didn't take to the pilates-pushing duo and when PWI came calling, the AWF let Candell walk.

Now, as part of the No Frills Unit, Candell is being let out of the cage and being allowed to do everything he can in the ring, which has reinvigorated him.

-Show #11-

PWI: Integrity, Tradition, Honor

LIVE Saturday on NCTV

Dorchester Center (NE) 2,000 (Sold Out)

- The show opens: Vance Cole is standing backstage when he gets a package from a courier that he tears open immediately. It is a video marked “Surveillance” in big-black marker letters on the white label. Cole quickly stuffs it into his suit and cuts through a row of oncoming hallway traffic to get to his office, shutting the door behind him when he gets there. (C+)

- From there we go straight to the ring-the “Boston Suplex Machine” is standing with his arms crossed in the ring as the siren begins to wail and the house lights turn red, signaling Silva Dolla’s entrance. The TV Champion takes his sweet time getting to the ring and actually gets into it with a screaming, PWI t-shirt wearing fan at ringside so intensely that a security guard steps in and breaks them up. His greeting from O’Reilly is similar; the stout badass coming right at him at the bell. But as you know, Dolla will cut corners. And when the referee gets caught up in the wash of an irish-whip and comes stumbling across the ring, the TV champ strikes, drilling O’Reilly in the batter-makers with a forearm from his knees. He instantly pops up onto his feet and levels the local favorite with a “Dolla Maker” (stunner) which nets him the tidy, if out of nowhere, win. Carrasco and Kyle continue to dislike Dolla outwardly as he celebrates, with Kyle saying “The way he cheats, which is totally against what we do here is NOT RIGHT. There’s just something that is NOT RIGHT with that guy.” (B-)

- As Jimmy South bounces around the set, holding both PWI tag-team title belts over his head, Martin and Jesse, the Van Holt Brotherhood stare into the camera. “They all said we was washed up; done being useful to this company-that we couldn’t beat the Harts. But look at those belts right there. Those mean we’re the best tag team in the whole goddamned world. The promo is set to end when Nick Hart and James Gilmour-Hart walk up and challenge the VHB to a match next week. Jimmy South jumps in between them and announces that they’ve already signed to defend the belts next week against the former champions, The Bollywood Knights. “Too bad, baby!” (C+)

-We have a tidy squash match in which Bryce Christensen rips up the rugged mat wrestler Lukas Muenicker, who returns after having wrestled overseas. Christensen, falling in his PPV showcase match to Jay Paro, uses this match as his showcase, pulling out all the stops and stopping the gassed Muenicker with his huge air top turnbuckle legdrop. Bryce is fired up as the referee raises his hand, pounding his chest and really playing to the fans. (D+)

-A video rolls giving PWI fans an exclusive look at how the NWA World Title tournament is shaping up in some of the other NWA affiliates. In Mexico, ILL’s one night event to decide it’s representative was headlined by Luzbel defeating Kris Phoenix, sending the devil into the next round. And out in Seattle, due to an unexpected injury to their other top competitor, the SWA has decided to nominate all-arounder Scott Cross as the one who will hold the banner for the SWA in the next round of the NWA World Title Tournament. (C-)

-After winning a Showcase Match at “Night of Glory”, straight-edge PWSUX defector Seven Brandt gets another taste of PWI action, taking on former TV Champion, the masked El Estandar. And, as he was toward the end of his match with Ryan Doherty, Seven is in total control, again showing the nasty front-kick combination and t-bone suplex as a lead in from his finisher, the cattle mutilation. Estandar is a tough customer, but can only hold on for a few seconds before tapping out, ending the match. (C+)

-The shot goes outside without warning. Things are shaky and jarring. It is not quite clear what is going on. When the lens settles it is chaos outside of the arena-in the back parking lot. PWSUX has descended on the building once again, and they are out in full force. But this time, in PWI’s backyard, not only are the building’s security waiting for the inevitable, but the PWI locker room join in, holding them at bay until the Dorchester police arrive. It gets messy-at one point during the fracas between the boys in the back and the PWI invaders, Bobby Ruiz, a former MMA start rehabbing a broken hand, knocks out Crazy Jack with a monster haymaker with his off hand as the police bleed into every open space in the lot. As we go to commercial, Cross is being cuffed and loaded into a cruiser while the fuzz runs down Ram Diablo and Brooklyn Bully who are both trying to jump a back alley security fence to get to their truck. “PWI STANDS TALL!” (B-)

-When we finally return to the show, it is main event time. And the triangle match between Ethan Paro, fresh off of his loss to Heavyweight Champion Scott Hart at “Night of Glory”, Nick Hart, and the man hot on the trail of TV Champion Silva Dolla, Shay Kinsella. It is a fine, steady rolling main event that progresses as you might expect, having all the best parts of their matches: Paro’s high impact offense, Nick Hart’s ground-you-and twist-you-up mat strategy, and Shay Kinsella’s patented out-of-nowhere comeback. The longtime veteran thinks he has Nick Hart lined up for the “Urbana Native” (superkick), but Ethan Paro spears Kinsella out of his shoes before whipping the wobbling Hart into the ropes and blowing him up with his tilt-a-whirl over the knee backbreaker for the win. But the real story is the post-match attack by Jay, who tears into his brother Ethan, taking the entire group of referees to pull him off. (B)

-Just as the show looks set to end, Vance Cole comes hustling down the aisle and climbs into the ring, grabbing the ring announcer’s microphone on his way. On his direction, the video screen comes to life and it , Cole describes that what everyone is seeing is yet another shot of the now infamous PWSUX attack where they blew up two PWI production trucks. This angle is not the one we saw that night, nor is it the one we saw last week that was the eerie first person look. This one is the surveillance video from the parking garage across the street from the building on the night of incident and surveillance footage from behind the arena in Vermont last Sunday at “Night of Glory”. The camera is far away, but it is clear enough to show two things. The explosion itself and the fact that a person came out of the arena, set the fires, and went back into the arena as the trucks burned. Cole points his finger toward the still of the person going back into the building. “There was an inside man! That’s a fact! AN INSIDE MAN! Period!” The next shot is from “Night of Glory”. It shows the same, shadowy, too-fuzzy-to-make-out figure going to a seldom used side of the arena and propping open a door, the same one the PWSUX wrestlers would get in through a half-hour later for yet another attack. “AN INSIDE MAN! ONE OF US! IT PROBABLY WAS AGAIN TONIGHT! AN INSIDE MAN!” (B-)

Overall Grade: B-

TV Rating: 1.11

Finally caught up with this and it continues to be one of my favourite diaries ever. No-Frills Unit is a really great pairing (and as the creator of both a pleasant surprise), and seeing how the PWSUX invasion continues promises to be a lot of fun.

Keep up the great work, NN! :D

Thanks, JHD! I don't know if it's coming through in the writing, but I'm having a fabulous time with this diary, too. And I've got a couple of really cool things coming down the pike that I hope everyone likes.

Huge PWI TV Main Event in Two Weeks!!!

PWI Commissioner Vance Cole has announced that PWI Champion Scott Hart will face Ethan Paro to decide who will represent the company in the NWA World Heavyweight Title tournament. It will be a rematch of PWI’s last pay-per-view main event, and the victor will likely retain the coveted number one seed rating that Scott Hart currently possesses. The higher ranked seed’s promotion hosts the match, meaning that if Scott goes to the finals, PWI will be the company that has the NWA World Title Match on one of their events.

Before that, however, Ethan Paro will face his brother Jay in their final showdown, a two out of three falls match, on THIS week's PWI TV.

I had noticed, yes :D Looking forward to the NWA title match, even if I think it might see an interruption or two. ;)

-The show opens with a graphic, <strong>Silva Dolla’s</strong> picture sitting in the center of a black screen. The following words begin to scrolling across the bottom of your television. “Due to the massive backlash from both the online community, the PWI locker room, and wrestling fans at large, <strong>Silva Dolla has decided not to appear on PWI TV </strong>this week. Silva Dolla is surprised that so many people have decided that because he wrestled for the AWF and also publically took delight in the attacks on the Harts, that he is the “Inside Man” that has been helping PWSUX attack PWI. -<strong>“Boston Suplex Machine” Mike O’Reilly</strong> draws opening match duty again, and this week it is the jilted <strong>Shay Kinsella</strong>, who expected a TV Title rematch with Silva Dolla tonight. -As the ring girls sweep out the ring, <strong>Vance Cole</strong> comes down to the ring, trying to reel in the fans who have gone off the deep end in their suspicions about who the “Inside Man” is. When they boo the very mention of Silva Dolla’s name, Commissioner Cole starts listing the people who it could be. “Seven Brandt, supposedly fired by PWSUX, Chris Candell and Bryce Christensen, both former AWF stars-whose side are they really on, and Silva Dolla, is also an ex AWF-er and someone who takes great joy in describing the PWSUX beat downs on Scott Hart. And while Singh and Vidur stay with the VHB in the early going, Jimmy South, Martin Van Holt and Jess Van Holt have orchestrated their three pronged attack over hundreds of matches and are masters of it. After confusing the Bollywoods, they isolate Singh and drop him on his head with a “Van-Holtinator” (spike pedigree), walking away with another successful defense. (C-) </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

-<strong>Ethan Paro</strong> is backstage on the flat black and red interview set alongside<strong> January Kyle</strong>. He cuts a great promo about his hunger for the World Title still being intact, despite his loss to Scott Hart at “Night of Glory” before calling on his brother Jay to “….bring your ‘A’ game you sniveling, cheap-shotting little baby, because when I take you down this time, it’s going to be permanent! This thing between us ends tonight!”(B-) </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

-When <strong>Bryce Christensen</strong> and <strong>Seven Brandt</strong> go at it, after our commercial break, the fans are on Seven’s back a bit, after his mention on Cole’s list. But it doesn’t affect his wrestling any; Brandt is the aggressor early on, putting Bryce on the spot, having to defend against all of Seven’s various martial arts style flurries. Christensen is larger than you think; his quick feet and agility hide his muscle, and he weathers Brandt’s storm, stopping his momentum at about the ten minute mark with a bicycle kick that nets a two and a half –it makes the crowd gasp. He rolls through a few moves before hitting the top rope. But the ring announcer counts backward from ten as he squats there, looking at him, oblivious to the bell when it rings, dropping a monster-air legdrop on Seven as it drones on and on. The referee leans out and the announcer conveys, the match is a TV time limit draw. (C+)</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

-A huge, yet quick package rolls, keeping fans up to date on the <strong>NWA World Title Tournament</strong> in PWI’s sister promotional affiliates. Due to the current situation, probationary member PWSUX declined the invitation to the tourney, so we skipped straight to the LWA highlights, where they decided their representative in the NWA tournament with a 3vs 3 elimination match. In the end, local favorite <strong>Cordero Calderon</strong> outlasted five other men to get an opportunity at the sport’s biggest prize. The Dragon Pro portion was a fireworks display of match highlight, eventually crowning cruiserweight pioneer <strong>JG Nielson</strong> as their representative. (C-) </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

-<strong>James Gilmour-Hart</strong> and <strong>Nick Hart</strong> jump out of a huge jacked-up pickup truck already in their wrestling gear, scheduled to battle the No Frills Unit up next…..but the crowd gasps-and the roars at the next camera shot…<strong>.PWI Heavyweight Champion Scott Hart</strong> gingerly climbing down from the backseat of the almost-a-monster truck, dressed in a black and maroon windsuit, limping considerably before reaching back for a crutch that he leans heavily on as he walks. (B-)</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>“What is HE doing here?”</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

-When we get to main event time, the fans are geeked up, and rightfully so, as this payoff match has been a long time in the making. Both <strong>Ethan Paro</strong> and <strong>Jay Paro</strong> come to the ring looking intense as all get out and the action that follows confirms the fact. It is dead even for over ten minutes when Jay flips Ethan over with a hurancanrana and runs him into a nasty looking abdominal stretch which draws a round of applause (and a standing ovation from about thirty-five or forty ringside fans) before Ethan gets to the ropes. When he reaches, and Jay tries to pull him off, the referee gets caught in the wash and goes down.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

There is a stretch after the crashes with the referee where the two men go off on each other. But for Jay, lawlessness is the name of the game-he slides out of the ring, frustrated, and snatches the chair from underneath the timekeeper, tossing it back into the ring. He catches Ethan with an eye poke and then DDT’s him before dragging him into the corner and placing the folding chair on top of his chest.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

“What’s he have in mind here? He couldn’t be thinking about….”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Jay climbs up to the top rope and quickly stands upright, surveying the scene below. With one quick glance toward the crowd, he turns himself over and is in flight, coming crashing down seconds later with his late-swanton. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

But when he lands, all that is there….. is the folding chair.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Ethan doesn’t even try to stand him up for a finisher. He waits until Jay’s uncontrolled semi-conscious writhe is in a good spot and reaches over to hook his leg. Three merciful seconds late, it is over. EMT’s race down to the ring and load Jay onto a trauma board as Ethan pulls himself together and raises his arm to salute the fans, glancing every once in a while at Jay as he is carted away. -The show is set to end with a customary pan from the ring up toward the broadcast location. But instead of the hard sell for next week’s show.....<strong>Vance Cole </strong>comes out alongside the hobbling PWI Heavyweight Champion, <strong>Scott Hart</strong>. Both men nod at Ethan Paro as he exits the ring- Ethan holds the ropes open for the injured Heavyweight Champion. You can tell both Hart and Cole are quite angry by their body language, even though they try to keep an even tone when they finally get a microphone and turn toward the hard cam. Vance Cole calls the PWSUX invaders: “…cowards who don’t have the spine or manhood to fight PWI in a fair fight….in the ring. Everything that you stand for, we are against.” Then, after Scott whispers in his ear, <strong>Commissioner Cole challenges PWSUX to meet PWI at “Night of Revolution”</strong> in a match of their choosing, “….. to settle whatever grievance they have with us and put an end to this nonsense. Period.” (B+) </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

With their company’s theme music playing in the background, the PWSUX invaders (Ram Diablo, Crazy Jack, and Brooklyn Bully) led by Cross, stand together on the weathered light blue canvas of the PWSUX ring. Cross, wearing a sleeveless black t-shirt and a kilt, is the only one with a microphone, and he slowly unfolds a chair to stand on.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

“So……it seems the pussies up in Boston want us to show up at one of their shows and fight ‘em fair.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>PWI SUCKS! PWI SUCKS! PWI SUCKS! PWI SUCKS!</em></p><p><em>

</em></p><p> </p><p>

“We all want something don’t we? Us? Us here in PWSUX? We want out of the NWA, which is the dumbest idea in the modern history of this business.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Boo. Hiss.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

“New York? New Jersey? Philly? They BELONG to PWSUX and NO ONE ELSE!”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>P-DUB-SUX! P-DUB-SUX P-DUB-SUX! P-DUB-SUX!</em></p><p><em>

</em></p><p> </p><p>

“And Shane Allman, the fartsuck behind the whole thing, wants to take you away from us.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

They boo and hiss again. Dyed in the wool PWSUX fans hate PWI.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

“”Now……I’m going to go ahead and speak for all of us, because we’ve all got our own shit going on….”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The fans chant “13! 13! 13!” It stops Cross dead in his tracks. His calm tone is gone and he begins looking up toward the rafters, squinting as he screams.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

“IF HE WANTS TO SHOW HIS FACE HERE, I’LL KILL HIM! DO YOU HEAR ME 13TEEN, I’LL KILL YOU!””</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Ram Diablo snatches the microphone away from the now seething Cross and brings his finger up to his lips quieting the crowd, getting them ready to listen.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

“If PWI wants us to kick their asses again, I’ve got no problem with it.” </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>PWI SUCKS! PWI SUCKS! PWI SUCKS! PWI SUCKS!</em></p><p><em>

</em></p><p> </p><p>

“But no cops. No security. Your guys and our guys. Streetfight.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Crazy Jack brandishes a sharpened prison spike, pretending to bring it across his throat as he nods along with Diablo.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

“Might want to get some body bags ready up there in Beantown. We’re gonna fill ‘em all up.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

He raises his fist in the air and the thousand or so in attendance go wild.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>
