Derek: It's actually sixth, now. When going through and getting predictions, it turns out that I completely overlooked Psycho Sam's picks in his vlog because I wasn't thinking to look for them in the middle of the thing. That's all on me. I've updated my spreadsheet and Sam is actually leading now with 7 of 8 correct. :o

When I post that sheets are updated later on today, I'll include a corrected prediction standings list as well.

Pages should now be updated, folks. Remember that if things don't look changed, you may need to refresh the page so your browser gets the updated info.

As promised, the link to Ly Quang Bao's profile can be found here. Prophet actually read my mind to a point, but I had to get some offensive things put in. Anyone who can come back from neck fusion surgery is double-tough in my book, and the stats reflect that. :D

As always, Phoenix's character profile can be found here.

Finally, the updated predictions, taking into effect the set of predictions Sam had in his vlog that I missed:

1. Psycho Sam: 15.40 points (15.40 last week), 7 total picks correct.

2. mjdgoldeneye: 10.52 points (10.52 last week), 6 total picks correct.

3. Jman2k3: 10.25 points (10.25 last week), 4 total picks correct.

4. OctoberRaven: 8.95 points (8.95 last week), 5 total picks correct.

5. moon_lit_tears: 7.58 points (7.58 last week), 5 total picks correct.

6. Derek B: 7.15 points (7.15 last week), 5 total picks correct.

7. I effin rule: 6.95 points (6.95 last week), 5 total picks correct.

7. Ranson: 6.95 points (6.95 last week), 5 total picks correct.

9. masterded: 4.95 points (4.95 last week), 4 total picks correct.

9. Prophet: 4.95 points (4.95 last week), 4 total picks correct.

11. CJAlex: 3.38 points (3.38 last week), 3 total picks correct.

That should be all of the outstanding issues at hand. Carry on.

Predictions

Psycho Sam: Just like usual, to start off, here is MY picks!

Nolan vs. Carlisle: Even with defeats, Nolan and Carlisle had a good fight against their opponents. I'll pick Nolan, as overall, he had a better week than Ian

Stanton vs. Diamond: At the playoffs, Stanton beat Diamond. I see no reason to change that

Winner: Stanton

Sam vs. Lightning: I pick myself. But I will await my record... where I get the first DQ...

Winner: Sam

III vs. Imoka: In another closely fought contest, Imoka will just BARELY miss out on winning.

Winner: III

Nuclear vs. Gaius: What else do I have to explain?

Winner: Nuclear

Phoenix vs. Bao: Bao showed last week that he will be tough. Phoenix MAY struggle, but he will come out with a win

Winner: Phoenix

Moore vs. Triumph: Triumph showed his dominance against Moore. Against Moore, it will be similar.

Winner: Triumph

MAIN EVENT: Stevens vs. Thor: Thor showed his proof of dominance without Frankie. He WILL continue tonight....

Winner: Thor

Superstar In Review: Jack Lightning

Psycho Sam:

Psycho Sam: This week, it is Jack Lightning

Jack Lightning: Career Record: 10-23 ,5 Matches of The Night

Best Season: Season 5

Worst Season: Season 4

Pros: Exciting, Performs well in the air

Cons: Not powerful, submits easily[/i]

Psycho Sam: Jack Lightning made his debut in Season 4, coming in with a 3-11 record. He had the hardest schedule, so that is pretty much the reason why Lightning didn't win often...

Season 5 was a better season for Jack Lghtning, mainly due to his schedule being WAY easier than Season 4, coming in with a 6-12 record.

With Ian Carlisle as his partner, Lightning has a good chance of being in the playoffs this season, with a win last week.

About 6 hours to get picks in, folks.

Also this may be, in terms of match ratings alone, one of the best shows in League history. Four A's, a B, two C+'s, and one F to counter all of that.

Time to get to writing.

Ah , another sub-10 minuet submission victory for Triumph I see. :D

Or maybe Templeton's squash against Gaius

Found something weird...

One pair will face against another pair.

E.g.: III & Stevens face off against Imoka & Thor, respectively...

Season Six, Week Two

THE LEAGUE: SEASON SIX, WEEK TWO

23,000 strong fill the Nishikyogoku Athletic Stadium in Kyoto as The League continues into its second week of the season. There is the obligatory thirty-second span of the crowd before we cut to ringside and our announce team.

Bob Sinclair: Good evening, everyone, and welcome to Week Two of The League! Bob Sinclair, here at ringside as always with Frankie Garnett and Tori Montgomery, and tonight begins the first half of general competition as the round-robin portion of the schedule begins.

Tori Montgomery: I've got a good feeling about tonight's matches, guys. We may be in for a treat when everything's said and done.

Frankie Garnett: A treat? I'd be careful saying that here, Tori. I don't consider raw fish a treat....

Tori Montgomery: Not that kind of treat, Frankie!

Bob Sinclair: Anyhow, folks, we're expecting an action-packed card tonight, so let's not waste any time and get to Amelia Williams in the ring to get the night's festivities underway!

Tarik Nolan (0-1, 10%) vs. Ian Carlisle (0-1, 8%)

Linkin Park's "What I've Done" blares through the arena as the upset specialist of The League steps into the arena, a look of determination on his face. A moment later, he sprints towards the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope and heading to a corner to appeal to the fans, mentally preparing himself for his next battle.

Amelia Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, our opening bout of the evening is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Blackpool, England, weighing 222 pounds...Ian Carlisle!

Bob Sinclair: Carlisle struggled in his opening week match against Lightning, and his task does not get any easier against the more-experienced Tarik Nolan.

Tori Montgomery: Carlisle is 1-1 in his career against Nolan, so he does know how to beat his larger opponent.

Frankie Garnett: Blind squirrel, nuts, and so forth.

"Regulate" hits the speakers, immediately drawing the ire of the crowd as a large figure stands in the entryway, backlit by a clear spotlight. Pyro explodes on the stage, causing the light to shut off as the figure finally emerges onto the stage proper. Laughing at the boos hurled in his direction, he takes his time walking to the ring and subsequently entering it for his next match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Shreveport, Louisiana, weighing 292 pounds...Tarik Nolan!

Bob Sinclair: Nolan could not find a way to put down the rookie Psycho Sam last week, and that includes the use of a steel chair during the match.

Frankie Garnett: Face it, Bob. Tarik's been struggling ever since Season Two, but he'll get it together tonight, even if only for the one night.

Tori Montgomery: He'll need the win to stay on pace with Sam in his pairing, that's for certain.

Bob Sinclair: Nolan picks up his first victory of the season, and keeps the pressure on Sam to do likewise!

Frankie Garnett: Pressure? It's only the second week, Bob! At least give it a bit before the drama hits!

Tori Montgomery: ....

Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (0-1, 20%) vs. Diamond (1-0, 12%)

"Don't Cha" hits the arena to a mixed reaction as The League's lone female member emerges from backstage. There is a confident smirk on her face as she talks trash with some of the louder fans before sprinting into the ring by diving under the bottom rope. As she stands, she proceeds to the corner nearest the announce table, hands thrown in the air as the soaks in the crowd reaction while her manager stands outside, also applauding her client.

Amelia Williams: This bout is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Jayde, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 137 pounds...Diamond!

Bob Sinclair: Diamond easily dispatched Ly Quang Bao last week, but she finds herself coming in at a disadvantage this week.

Tori Montgomery: For some reason, this Kyoto crowd doesn't think too highly of her, and that's got to be affecting her psychologically as she prepares for this match.

Frankie Garnett: Then again, when you're as hot as Diamond is, what do you care about what everyone thinks?

"Here Comes the Money" hits the speakers, as one of last season's surprises emerges from the back, with a beautiful woman hanging off his left arm. A cocky grin plastered on his face, he arrogantly walks to the ring, turning up his nose at those in the audience that he deems to be beneath one such as himself. Arriving at ringside, his manager gives him a kiss for good luck before he slides in under the bottom rope and stands in the nearest corner, facing the center of the ring.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Missy Callistra, from Providence, Rhode Island, weighing 224 pounds...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!

Bob Sinclair: Stanton tried to make a run of it last week, eventually falling to The Phoenix.

Tori Montgomery: The next few weeks will be key to determining whether he will be a factor in the pairing, because if he can keep a winning record, it will force Phoenix to stay on his A-game all season.

Frankie Garnett: Phoenix doesn't have an A-game. He ate it already.

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of sixteen minutes even...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!

Bob Sinclair: Stanton hits a flurry of offense in the closing minutes, and manages to put Diamond away in a well-fought contest!

Tori Montgomery: I've got that as a bit of an upset, despite the advantage he had coming in.

Frankie Garnett: That makes no sense whatsoever, Tori.

Tori Montgomery: The audience knows what I mean.

Psycho Sam (1-0, 16%) vs. Jack Lightning (1-0, 19%)

A rather non-descript rock theme plays as the League's newest member emerges from the back, striding towards the ring with the look of a cold-blooded psychopath on his face. Behind him, his chosen manager seems to be overwhelmed by the thousands of people in attendance as he tries to shrink into his robe of many rocks and stay on his client's heels as best he can.

Amelia Williams: Our next contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, being accompanied by The Rock, from the Island of Alcatraz, weighing 296 pounds...Psycho Sam!

Bob Sinclair: Sam defeated Nolan last week in a hard-hitting match that saw Sam try to suffocate Nolan with a handful of rocks.

Tori Montgomery: I still don't see how that's legal, Bob.

Frankie Garnett: Are you gonna stop him, Tori? I didn't think so!

Metallica's "Ride the Lightning" hits the speakers as the first Canadian to enter The League emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease as he steps onto the ring apron and leaps over the top rope. Climbing onto the turnbuckles, he raises an arm in the air and drinks in the cheers of the crowd before dropping back to the mat and preparing for his match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from London, Ontario, weighing 233 pounds...Jack Lightning!

Bob Sinclair: Lightning started the season off right last week with a win over Carlisle, but he faces a much tougher task in trying to be the first to figure the rookie Sam out.

Frankie Garnett: There's no figuring, Bob. Sam is legit crazy. It comes down to "survive if he lets you."

Tori Montgomery: I know I've heard that before....

III (1-0, 15%) vs. Master Imoka (0-1, 20%)

"Reaping Stone" by Iced Earth starts to play, the somber melody of the intro a far cry from what we're used from the man now known as III. As soon as Jon Schaffer's guitar kicks up III emerges from the curtains, in a long flowing robe in the pattern of a star chart. He takes his time getting to the ring, where he leaps over the top rope, then stands on the second turnbuckle as he slides his robe off, revealing his tights, black pleather with a white III on the left leg, and a Celtic armor belt with the words "Cosmic Destiny" written on the front. He takes off the belt as well before handing his entrance gear to a ring crew member and stretches out a bit.

Amelia Williams: This contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from The Third Altar of the Third Tier of the Third Pyramid, weighing 199 pounds...III!

Frankie Garnett: I still think that this guy's gone off the deep end.

Tori Montgomery: To the level of Sam, though?

Frankie Garnett: No. No one can hit that level.

Bob Sinclair: So far, it's produced results, as III got his first win over Stevens. We'll see if this trend continues.

"You're the Best" blasts from the arena speakers as The League's lone Samoan emerges from the back, staring a hole through the ring as if by doing so, he can change it to his preferred medium of a martial arts mat. As he gets to ringside, he quickly lashes out and kicks the top half of the steel steps off the bottom half, snarling as he slides into the ring and stands motionless, waiting for the bell to sound.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 214 pounds...Master Imoka!

Frankie Garnett: Bob, has anyone ever asked this guy why he's using a song from The Karate Kid as his theme music?

Bob Sinclair: Why don't you go ask him, Frankie?

Frankie Garnett: I'll pass. Don't feel like getting kicked in the head.

Tori Montgomery: Imoka fell to Thor last week, and is looking to rebound here against someone he has yet to lose to in his League career.

Nuclear Templeton (1-0, 19%) vs. Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (0-1, 17%)

Disturbed's "Indestructible" hits the arena as The League's resident monk emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease despite the hard beat of the song. Jumping onto the apron from the floor, he steps between the ropes and calmly walks to the far corner of the ring, waiting for the bell to get the match underway.

Amelia Williams: This bout is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from the Island of Tria, weighing 205 pounds...Eidenhoek Gaiaspade!

Bob Sinclair: Gaius fell to Triumph last week, and comes in tonight against a man he has yet to beat in two previous matches.

Frankie Garnett: So in other words, no way he wins tonight. Got it.

Tori Montgomery: Gaius has his work cut out for him, that's for certain, but he has a fighting chance tonight.

Billy Idol's "Shock to the System" hits the speakers, bringing the crowd to their feet in ovation as one of the League's more recognizable faces emerges from backstage and across the green-tinted stage. Behind him, shouting final words of wisdom at him as he strides to the ring, is his manager, who seems unfazed by the surroundings. As they reach the bottom of the ramp, Nuclear grabs the Tag Team Title belt off his shoulder and raises his arms in the air, causing twin mushroom clouds to explode on the entrance stage before he slides into the ring, ready to go.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Coach Robert Greene, from Atlantic City, New Jersey, weighing 278 pounds, he is one-half of the reigning Tag Team Turmoil champions...Nuclear Templeton!

The Phoenix (1-0, 28%) vs. Ly Quang Bao (0-1, 12%)

Psykosonik's "Panik Kontrol" echoes throughout the arena as our next participant emerges, nearly hidden amidst the red spotlights. As the beat continues, he calmly walks down the aisle, leaping onto the apron and somersaulting over the top rope, coming to a halt in the middle of the ring and looking ready to fight as the song fades.

Amelia Williams: This match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Bien Hoa, Vietnam, weighing 177 pounds...Ly Quang Bao!

Bob Sinclair: Bao's return last week was less than stellar, as he fell in a hurry to Diamond.

Tori Montgomery: Why?

Tori Montgomery: ....

Within Temptation's "Stand My Ground" hits the arena speakers as the reigning League Champion emerges from the back, through a wall of flame pyro. His face gives no emotions away as he walks to the ring, stopping at the ring steps to lay his title belts on the top step. A moment later, he slams both fists into the second-highest step before looking up the heavens with a cry of "For the Fallen" coming from his lips. With no further ado, he grabs his belts and steps between the ropes, ready to go to war once again. At ringside, Tori drops her headset to the table and walks towards his corner, her mental transition from color commentator to manager complete.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, joined at ringside by Tori Montgomery, from the End of Nowhere, weighing 337 pounds, he is one-half of the reigning Tag Team Turmoil champions and the defending League Champion...this is The Phoenix!

Sebastian Moore (0-1, 12%) vs. Johnny Triumph (1-0, 29%)

It is to Muse's "Assassin" that he emerges, an arrogant smirk crossing his face as he soaks in the jeers of the crowd. Looking up at the spotlight for a moment, his smirk seems to get even bigger as he walks down the ramp, ignoring the catcalls of the crowd as he ascends the steps, wipes his feet on the apron, and steps through the ropes, looking more at ease than the casual fan may think.

Amelia Williams: Our next contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Manchester, England, weighing 237 pounds...Sebastian Moore!

Bob Sinclair: Struggling last week against Templeton, Moore has another tough task ahead of him this week against a former League Champion.

Tori Montgomery: "Tough task" is right, Bob. Moore has faced Triumph only once in the past, and that was in the semifinals of the Season Two playoffs...and remember, Triumph was the champion that season.

Frankie Garnett: And now that we're done with useless factoids....

A remixed version of "Ecstasy of Gold" hits the speakers, which is nearly drowned out in jeers as he emerges from the entryway. Instead of taking the steps closest to him, he walks around to the opposite side of the ring, drawing in more jeers as he finally climbs the steps and enters the ring, deciding to enter on his terms and his terms alone.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Des Moines, Iowa, weighing 228 pounds...Johnny Triumph!

Bob Sinclair: Triumph was victorious over Gaius last week, and looks to move to 2-0 with a win here tonight.

Tori Montgomery: Triumph has made it no secret that he plans to win it all this season, and a win here would certainly make his plans much easier.

Frankie Garnett: Foregone conclusion, Bob. 3-0 is inevitable!

Tori Montgomery: Famous last words....

Scott Stevens (0-1, 29%) vs. Thor Hammerskald (1-0, 30%)

The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing as Dave Mustaine's voice echoes throughout the arena, "I am the Scorpion, whoa!" The jeering intensifies as a mash-up of "I Stand Alone" and "Amazing" hits the speakers, drawing out the reigning Legacy Pro Wrestling champion, complete with belt around the waist. Walking down the aisle, he talks trash the entire way while raising a fist at a few of the more vocal bashers and pointing at the LPW title around his waist to everyone else. As he finally gets to the ring, he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stares down the aisleway, an icy glare and the throat slash gesture his only actions as he drops to the mat.

Amelia Williams: This is our main event of the evening, scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Houston, Texas, weighing 256 pounds...Her Goddess Selket's favorite Arachnid, The King of Sting, The Venomous One and Only, and the reigning Legacy Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion... he is "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens!

Tori Montgomery: Zzzzz...

Frankie Garnett: Oh, come on! Like your chosen boy's entrance is any shorter!

Bob Sinclair: Stevens fell in what many call an upset—

Frankie Garnett: A fluke!

Bob Sinclair: --to III last week. History is not on his side this week, though.

Tori Montgomery: Entering tonight, Stevens is 1-4 against his opponent this evening. Not good odds for the self-proclaimed King of Stink.

Frankie Garnett: You mean Sting.

Tori Montgomery: I meant what I said.

Anthrax's "Blood" hits the speakers, to a decent ovation he emerges from backstage, looking every bit the part of a Viking warrior as he strides to the ring with a determined look on his face...and scattering some of the fans away from the entrance ramp as he turns to glare at them. Making sure the fans are sufficiently cowed, he climbs the steps and enters the ring, his eyes never leaving the middle of the ring as he takes off his entrance gear.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Oslo, Norway, weighing 310 pounds...Thor Hammerskald!

Tori Montgomery: Their previous matches have generally been well-received by League fans, and I don't see this one being any different.

Bob Sinclair: In terms of being well-received, or in terms of Thor winning?

Tori Montgomery: Wait a tic, it looks like Thor's headed this way!

Frankie Garnett: Oh, God, not again....

Thor grabs a microphone from Amelia Williams, as well as the LPW Heavyweight title belt, and stands in front of the announce table, glaring daggers at Frankie.

Thor Hammerskald: Francis! I knew you would misplace your belt as soon as I let you out of my sight. You need to defend your property before you let go of it! I would suggest you arrange a match to do so. Perhaps III would be interested? I would also suggest that it be an Iron Man match...we wouldn't want to see the fans cheated out of their entertainment should someone be intimidated enough to not put up a fight. Though, for your condition, I would recommend a ten-minute match rather than the traditional hour.

Frankie Garnett: What the hell are you talking about? I'm not the champion!

Thor Hammerskald: I'll tell you what; until you can schedule a defense, I'll give your belt to Miss Montgomery for safe keeping.

Thor hands the belt to Tori, who tries in vain to hide a smirk.

Frankie Garnett: What...what are you doing? Give that back!!

Tori Montgomery: I'm not about to get the man angry with me, Frankie. Though, I wonder how this could be done....

Bob Sinclair: Folks, while I try to keep these two from throttling each other, we'll close out the show for the week...see you next week as our Oriental tour continues!

Frankie Garnett: Dammit, Tori, I don't want the belt...!

@III- The Karateka put up a good fight as always. But this time, my face wasn't scalded.

@III- The Viking toying with the Clown was an entertaining sight. He could have won it in ten seconds, but he let the fool have his false hope.

@III- I could probably forfeit my entire season and still tie with the Clown. But unlike him, I won't Sarah Palin a season. I still care about my #CosmicFollowers after all.

@III- @LeagueToriM, since the Viking probably doesn't read this, please suggest to him that he takes the belt from his former servant, and I will be honored to face him for it.
