*El Scorcho came out dancing down the aisle to a good reception...*

*... but was cut off by the monsterous Larry Mac and thrown into the ring

from the floor over the top rope!!

*With Scorcho obviously rattled from the outset Lothario took full advantage...*

*... and despite El Scorcho making a small comeback at the 6min mark...*

*... once Lothario locked in the Indian Deathlock it was all over*

ERIC LOTHARIO wins via submission (7:59)

 

 

Reviewers Thoughts:

El Scorcho got a pretty good pop from the crowd, they seem to like his Dancing Luchador gimmick. Lothario and his posse, however, certainly are not liked by the home crowd. Whether this is heel heat, or they just don't like them, I can't tell. Not a bad match to start things off. Obviously not amazing, but not bad.

MAC ATTACK II

As Lothario, Paige & Mac left the ring Larry Mac stopped and walked towards the crowd barrier. The hillbilly fan from last week, all bandaged up, was in front row. Lothario & Paige had left by this point. Mac and the fan (who

we

all know is Earl Ray Travis from POW) got into a heated exchange, and Mac grabbed him once again, this time hauling him into the ring. Mac picked Travis up and powerbombed him three times in a row, before roaring and, looking furious, walked to the back while Travis was stretchered out of the arena.

 

 

Reviewers Thoughts:

I dunno if this angle really needed rehashing from last week, but it went over pretty well with the crowd

*At the start of the match the two faces were backed into a corner by the intimidating Tank Dixon...*

*... but came out swinging and, between them, managed to ground the Cage Warrior, who retreated to the outside to consult with his manager around the 5min mark*

*Kosmo went to the ropes to mock Dixon...*

*...but B-Real snuck up behind Kosmo and went for a cheeky roll-up pulling Kosmo's tights, but that was broken up at 2 1/2 by a returning Dixon*

*Dixon looked pissed and threw B-Real to the turnbuckle with such force that B-Real bounced off and face-planted*

*Dixon picked up a disorientated Kosmo and leveled him with a Slugging Right*

*Dixon went for the pin and seemed to have the match won but was kicked hard by B-Real, breaking up the count*

*Ref Joe Preston looked a little concerned as Tank Dixon got up and quickly looked from Dixon to B-Real to the back*

*Dixon and B-Real stood toe to toe, Dixon obviously muttering to B-Real*

*Suddenly B-Real threw a punch at Tank Dixon. Dixon blocked it and delivered a right hook that knocked B-Real out cold, leaving Joe Preston with no choise but to call the match*

TANK DIXON wins via KO (7:38)

 

 

Reviewers Thoughts:

Not really sure what was going on with this one. If I'm honest, I kind of got the impression that B-Real was trying to go into business for himself, and found out he was writing cheques he just couldn't cash. After the match Dixon stormed off and Kosmo just shook his head at the still prone B-Real before walking to the back while the paramedics brought out the stretcher for the second time in ten minutes

*Santa, Binks and Bennett started out the match, with the heels taking the advantage*

*That all changed when Loco blind-tagged himself in and Martin & Loco double-teamed Bennett, who eventually managed to make the tag to Homicide*

*This back and forth went on till around the 6min mark when Homicide finally fetched a ladder from ringside...*

*...but once it was set up got leveled but a missile dropkick from Ricky Binks*

*After a couple of ladder-based spots and with 24/7 Express and Bennett & Homicide down (Bennett & Homicide 'missed' a spot and collided with each other) both Poco Loco and Twisted Santa went up either side of the ladder*

*Both at the top they began to argue about who was going to grab the belts...*

*... which ended up seeing Twisted Santa push Poco Loco from the top of the ladder and all the way to the concrete of ringside!*

*Twisted Santa then grabbed the belts from above the ring, winning the match for his team*

THE MASKS OF CRAZY win via Retrieving the Belts to become the NEW LWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS (10:28)

 

 

Reviewers Thoughts:

So, new champions in The Masks of Crazy. But given that they blatently don't get on (kayfabe) I really don't know where this is going to go next! Towards the end of the match Bennett & Homicide were starting to fall out, so it looks like they might have been a pairing not destined for the regular tag team ranks after all. Shame, I kinda liked them.

ERIC HAS AN IDEA

The big screen jumped into life and we saw Chase Paige sat at a desk chatting with Eric sat on a sofa. Alex Vidal burst into the office and started demanding a singles match against Daniel Azaria. Paige told him that he'd get his chance, if he won the Tournament Qualifier he was booked in on LWA's first episode of The Puerto Rican Power Hour next month and went on to win the following Triple-Threat Match against Tank Dixon and BF Reed.

Then Shay Kinsella burst in, pushed Vidal out of the way and started demanding his promised singles match with Scott Cross. Paige reminded him that the match was scheduled for next month, so Kinsella would have to wait.

Lothario leant over and whispered in Paige's ear. Paige smiled, told Vidal to go find Cross, Kinsella to go find Azaria. Because they were going to all be in a tag match, right now!

Well I suppose its as good a way to set up a feud combining tag match as any other!

*All competitors came to the ring to their own music*

*Cross & Kinsella started things off, but Cross tagged out pretty quickly and Kinsella took control*

*Kinsella & Azaria functioned like a well oiled unit and a series of quick tags left Vidal dazed and confused*

*Vidal finally got a break and tagged in Cross, who took Azaria down with a cheapshot to the groin while the ref wasn't looking*

*Cross and Vidal cut the ring in half for the Puerto Rican champ and looked close to winning the match...*

*... until Azaria got in a lucky shot on Vidal and made the hot tag to Kinsella*

*Fired up, Kinsella knocked Cross off the apron before hitting the Urbana Native

on Vidal for the win*

Reviewers Thoughts:

A fairly decent match there. It didn't do a lot to further either feud but at least it gave Kinsella a win after his loss to Lothario on the last show.

CALDERON'S OPEN CHALLENGE

Cordero Calderon's music hit and the crowd went wild. He walked to the ring, shaking hands and kissing babies along the way. Once in the ring he grabbed a mic a said that as La Buey was busy with Ethan Paro in the main event, he needed someone to face. He issued an open challenge to any member of the roster to face him, the Pride of Puerto Rico, in an match, right now!

The Cage Warriors' music hit and Ms Jamie Vann walked out of the curtain with a mic in her hand. She talked about how her clients were dominating the tag ranks and how, with Tank Dixon almost guaranteed the LWA Puerto Rican Regional Title soon, it was time for Bruiser Cassidy to step up and teach 'the Pride of Puerto Rico' what real wrestling is all about! Calderon laughed, and accepted the match...

... but was then blind-sided by the Cage Warrior with Cassidy's Killer Lariot. Ref Joe Preston shrugged his shoulders and signaled for the match to get underway

 

 

Reviewers Thoughts:

Calderon really can keep the crowd in the palm of his hand. Jamie Vann is good, real good, but compared to Cordero she's comes over like a nervous kid. That hit from Cassidy made the Cage Warrior look like a brute though!

CORDERO CALDERON vs BRUISER CASSIDY

*Cassidy took early control of the match and even tried for an early pin at the 6min mark, but Cordero got his foot on the ropes*

*While Cassidy argued with the ref about it Calderon got up and found his second wind, taking control of the match...*

*...but not for long as Cassidy cut him off and continued to beat the legend down*

*Finally Calderon got a break and gained a little momentum...*

*...until Ms Vann reached under the ropes and grabbed his foot!*

*He turned, reached over the ropes and pulled her onto the apron*

*With Calderon distracted Cassidy shook away the cobwebs and charged at him...*

*... but Calderon moved at the last second and Bruiser wiped out his manager instead, Ms Vann taking a massive bump to the floor!*

*Cassidy was shocked. So shocked Calderon managed to turn him around, kick him in the gut, deliver the Pride of Puerto Rico

and cover Cassidy for the 1, 2, 3 before he'd even realised it, before bailing out of the ring while Cassidy flipped out in a rage!*

Reviewers Thoughts:

This match was awesome! Don't get me wrong, it was no technical affair but these two brawlers certainly lived up to their reputations. The best wrestling action I have seen in the LWA ring thus far! And even though he lost, Bruiser Cassidy

still

came out looking practically unbeatable. I mean, if the great Cordero Calderon has to get lucky to beat you, then quickly bail, in front of 'his people' then you must be pretty badass!

ETHAN PARO VIDEO

The jumbotron fired up and we were treated to a five minute video introducing Ethan Paro to the LWA crowd, mainly revolving around footage of matches from his work at PWI interspersed with interveiw footage of Paro saying how much he's enjoyed his time in Puerto Rico and that he hopes to win his match and stay here full time.

 

 

Reviewers Thoughts:

A good introduction for the LWA crowd to Ethan Paro, I could tell that the audience were impressed with his in-ring work and, well, saying that you love Puerto Rico, in Puerto Rico, is always going to get you over

*This match was a pretty even affair with both competitors getting in plenty of offence*

*Paro's technical skills eventually had La Buey on the run...*

*...and several times the champion had to roll out of the ring to regroup near his 'security' Big E*

*Finally at the 12min mark Paro looked set to take things home...*

*...but a poke to eyes from La Buey put a stop to that*

*Ref Joe Preston began to tell La Buey off but La Buey argued*

*With the ref distracted Big E pulled Paro out of the ring by the ankles, picked him up and ran him head first into the steel ringsteps, before rolling him back in the ring*

*La Buey pushed the ref out of the way, climbed to the top rope and hit a massive elbow-drop on Paro before covering him for the pin*

LA BUEY wins via pinfall (13:54)

 

 

Reviewers Thoughts:

Well, that was a pretty damn good main event! I would possibley say even slightly better than the semi-main event! All I can really say is it's a shame Paro lost, because as the match went on I was quite looking forward to him becoming a permanent member of the roster. But with La Buey's tainted win it wouldn't shock me in Paro was back in the LWA ring in the near future to settle the score

GRADE: C+

 

 

 

OVERALL THOUGHTS

 

Well, that was definately a better show than last week! And it certainly makes you think 'What the hell is going to happen next?!'. I mean, one half of the most dominating team in the LWA is in the Tournament for Azaria's Puerto Rican Title, from what I'd gathered Brian King was meant to get that slot and Dixon looked pretty pissed come the finish. And new LWA Tag champs that hate each other? This one certainly raises more than it answers, but that's probably not a bad way to go into a new TV show really.

And it wouldn't shock me if the LWA gained a bit of popularity from this show, it was definately the best they've put on under Chase Paige!

Also, with the other promotions' shows in the Tri-State Regional Battle done for the month, it would seem that with this show the LWA didn't just jump up from last, but all the way to first! That'll be a feather in Paige's cap with Buey Jr.

The only real thing that stuck out for me was so much interference involving people at ringside, but these things happen. All in all, a damn good show for the LWA!

Tough call here, but the added ingredient of Kosmo Supreme makes me think that Tank can lose, yet retain his bad-assery by not suffering a fall to B-REAL.

LWA FALLOUT - PARO RE-SIGNS, POCO LOCO INJURED AND MUCH MORE

So, another LWA show down and this was by far the best show yet from Chase Paige's LWA. Once again a fair bit of news to report from backstage before, during and after the show:

 

PARO RE-SIGNS

Obviously Ethan Paro lost his match on last night's show and so has not been signed to a regular contract. However my sources tell me that Chase Paige and Shane Allman have already agreed a futher three show deal, this time trading MMA monster Bruiser Cassidy to PWI. Allman has expressed an interest in bringing Cassidy into PWI full time, either as their resident monster heel or in a tag team with fellow former MMA fighter Bobby Ruiz (although IMO he'd be better off hiring both Cage Warriors and just canning the untalented Ruiz) and this gives him a chance to take some soundings.

 

 

POCO LOCO SERIOUSLY INJURED

Many in attendance last night, including myself, assumed that when medics helped Poco Loco to the back after taking that massive bump from the ladder to the floor that he was just selling the fall. Unfortunately not so. Here is a screenshot from the LWA website this morning:

POCO LOCO SERIOUSLY INJURED

 

It is our duty to inform you, the LWA fans, of some very sad news. Last night at LWA's Pre-Season Showdown our resident funny-loving luchador landed badly falling from a ladder to ring-side. At first our medics thought he was just stunned, but once backstage the true extent of his injuries became apparent.

 

Loco was rushed to hospital and it has been determined that the fall actually partially severed his spinal cord and he is lucky to be alive. He is due to undergo surgery later today, all at the LWA wish him the best of luck.

 

Please join us in sending all your hopes, thoughts and prayers to Poco Loco and his family at this difficult time. We will bring you updates on his condition as soon as we are able.

So there you have it folks, a sad day indeed for pro wrestling in Puerto Rico, heres hoping he makes a swift recovery. But, and I hope this isn't bad taste to ask at this point, what will this mean for the LWA Tag Team Titles?

 

 

B-REAL FIRED!!

WOW! B-Real aka Brian King really doesn't get it does he?! My sources tell me that before last night's show King got into a fight with MMA monster Bruiser Cassidy! Apparently King scratched Cassidy's rental car and refused to cover the repairs, when Cassidy pushed the subject King slapped him around the face. Lucky for King there were people there to hold Cassidy back! Paige got wind and changed the finish of King's match as punishment so that King would not get a shot at the Puerto Rican Regional Title.

However my sources tell me King decided to go into business for himself and tried to win the match anyway. Despite Tank Dixon having a few choise words with him during the match King swung for him in anger. Tank Dixon isn't a guy who messes about and so he floored King, ending the match and making Brian King's eye swell up to twice it's size in the process!

I've been told that Brian King has now been fired from the LWA, partly because of a meeting this morning with Chase Paige, but mainly for his own protection. Because if Dixon and Cassidy see him again they'll most likely wipe the floor with him!

 

 

EARL RAY TRAVIS TO HAVE A MATCH

In his final appearance for the LWA it turns out that POW trade Earl Ray Travis

will

get to take part in a match in the LWA ring. My sources say that he has been scheduled in a handicap match teaming with BF Reed against Paige's 'enforcer' Larry Mac in a dark match before the first taping of LWA's Puerto Rican Power Hour on March 4th. I hear he is perfectly happy with the arrangement and has enjoyed his time in PR, even though all he's really done is take a beating. It should be noted that this will also be Larry Mac's in-ring debut for the LWA, should be interesting.

 

 

LWA'S NEW SCHEDULE

With the announcement that the LWA will now be on TV it seems that they will be doing some things differently. My sources in the LWA offices tell me that The Puerto Rican Power Hour will be used to showcase the best and brightest of the LWA every Friday night, 10pm local time, on U-demand Puerto Rico (filmed Thursday nights). This means that some of the lower card members of the roster wont actually be getting as much TV exposure as they thought!

However, LWA will still be running a small monthly B-show in Pureto Rico that will showcase the lesser known members of the LWA roster with the occasional appearance of some of the LWA's bigger names. Everyone in the LWA seems happy enough with the arrangement, it seems that Chase Paige's years helping run his father's media empire at least have given him an eye for what will and won't work on TV.

Hey there folks. I am once again back with an update for all you diehard LWA internet fans, giving you the scoop behind the scenes of Puerto Rico's #1 wrestling promotion.

 

I, once again, have some major news to impart to the LWA fans, and due to a complete change of staff at my office (good tip Dad) nothing has been leaked to the dirtsheet nerds. So here it is:

 

POCO LOCO OUT FOR GOOD

As many of you will have heard, the LWA's fun loving luchador Poco Loco has not been responding very well to his surgery and the current prognosis is not good. I have met with his wife and we have come to terms with the cancelling of Poco Loco's contract. Rest assured though, myself and the rest of the LWA will be offering all the support we can to Loco and his wife and family during this difficult time.

 

TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT

With Loco gone we've been forced to vacate the titles. Alvero suggested a good, old fashioned tag team tournament, so that's what we've gone for. It will be good for the tag ranks to get a bit of a shake-up!

 

REGIONAL BATTLE

As was reported previously, our last show not only dragged us out of thrid place but pushed us all the way to first, knocking PWSUX off the top spot for the first time in a long time! Should get the internet buzzing about the LWA just in time for our TV debut!

 

NEW SIGNINGS

I went to see my Dad (as was leaked) and you know what? The guys I met with are definately going to be a huge asset to the LWA

- Road Agent

- This guy was destined to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time but cut down in his prime by injury he had to settle for being one of the best Road Agents in the world instead. He's been moving around for a long time but now, thanks to my Dad, Brett Massey is ready to call the LWA home.

 

There was another man I met with in Miami who was also willing to sign on the dotted line, but you'll have to wait till the show to find out who...

Ethan Paro is back in the LWA and Eric Lothario wants the match he was promised. The LWA management were happy to give it to him, and after his loss to La Buey last time Ethan Paro is going to be looking for a strong win here to earn his spot on the permanent roster. Conversely Eric Lothario will be looking to continue his winning streak by any means necessary and with the possibility of Chase Paige, Larry Mac or even both in Lothario's corner the odds are certainly stacked in his favour!

RICKY BINKS vs ALEX VIDAL vs TWISTED SANTA

The involvement of Alex Vidal was announced by LWL Commissioner Chase Paige at our last show, with Alex Vidal hungry to get at Daniel Azaria and the Puerto Rican title.

Twisted Santa offically held gold in the LWA for 2 days before it was determined that Poco Loco wasn't going to be able to wrestle for a long time, maybe never again, the the Tag Titles were vacated. As a recompense Twisted Santa was given a spot to challenge for singles gold and he is determined to claim the title to 'keep the elves at home in a job makin TS merch, yeah boi!'.

And Ricky Binks? Well, he went to the LWA management and asked for the shot. It seems that Binks doesn't want to be pigeonholed as a purely tag team wrestler just yet but Zach Martin is apparently not very happy with the situation.

Only one of these men can go through to face BF Reed, Tank Dixon and champ Daniel Azaria in the Fatal Fourway for the LWA Puerto Rican Regional Title at the end of the month, but which man wants it enough?

With the LWA Tag Team Titles vacated LWA management have decided to pit the tag teams of the LWA against each other, survival of the fittest!

In the first match of Round#1 the imposing, destuctive team of Bruiser Cassidy and Tank Dixon face off against the relatively inexperienced (as a team) PR Flash and LWA Puerto Rican Regional Champion Daniel Azaria. Many would say that this match is a foregone conclusion, but the difference in size and skillset could be key here for the PR Patriots. If they can keep moving and keep the MMA speciallists on the back foot the boys from Puerto Rico could pull off the shock win of the century.... IF...

The Champion La Buey has held the LWA Legacy Title for a year now, and for a year he and Cordero Calderon have been fighting over it, but all things must come to an end.

On the first episode of the LWA Puerto Rican Power Hour national hero Cordero Calderon and the man who spat in the eye of all Puerto Rico, the LWA Legacy Champion, La Buey, will face each other for the title for the final time. No rematch, no loopholes, no get-out clause. Who ever wins, the other man will not be able to challenge for the title until it changes hands again.

Add into the mix that both men HATE each other and we're sure you'll agree you've got a match worthy of a TV debut main event!

BF Reed, kind hearted man that he is, decided to help Travis settle the score with Mac, but has BF Reed bitten off more than he can chew?

Not a bad debut match for Larry Mac there! Chase Paige did a good job as his manager too, shouting instuctions like a real boss. A shame they didn't really let Earl Ray Travis into the match, but who knows, maybe we'll see him again.

PARO IS BACK!

Ethan Paro's music hit and he walked down to the ring to a strong reception from the LWA fans. He grabbed a mic and thanked the fans for their support. He declared that he would work as hard as he could to to earn a permanant spot on the LWA roster because there was no greater place to be than Puerto Rico.

A good start for Paro's current three show run. Cheap pop for the baby-face, and why not?

*Lothario sauntered down to the ring with Larry Mac in tow and an arrogant look on his face*

*However, once in the ring Paro dominated the match...*

*... giving Lothario a lesson in true professional wrestling*

*Then Lothario faked an injury*

*With the ref checking on Lothario Larry Mac dragged Ethan Paro from the ring*

*After downing him with a short-arm clothesline Mac picked Paro up above his head and dropped him face first onto the ringsteps...*

*... before rolling him back into the ring. Lothario stopped faking and jumped on Paro for the pin.

ERIC LOTHARIO wins via pinfall (6:02)

If I'm honest, that was by far the best match I've seen involving Eric Lothario! Paro carried him nicely and only lost due to the interferance of Larry Mac. Good opening match there for LWA's new TV show.

MAC ATTACK!

As soon as the bell rang to end the match Larry Mac climbed into the ring and continued to beat on Ethan Paro while Lothario laughed and shouted instructions until security hit the ring. Lothario called Mac off and they left the ring while medics were called for Ethan Paro.

*After a minute or so of doubleteaming Binks was launched out of the ring into tag partner Zach Martin*

*Twisted Santa went to shake Vidal's hand, but instead Vidal spat in his masked face!*

*Vidal attacked Santa and went for a quick pinfall but was broken up by Ricky Binks*

*Martin climbed onto the top turnbuckle as Binks held Santa for him to dropkick...*

*... but Twisted Santa moved and Binks ate boot!*

*Vidal capitalised on the confusion and delivered a quick DDT to Twisted Santa, covering him for the win*

Vidal and Santa left the ring, leaving Binks and Martin with their manager Angelique. Zach Martin was obviously apologising for dropkicking Ricky Binks but Binks was not happy. Angelique managed to calm the situation and got Binks to leave the ring to the back with Zach Martin following them

*Azaria managed to gain a little momentum against Dixon, but the PR Flash was tagged in and it all went wrong for the Patriots*

*Dixon regained control and tagged in and out with Cassidy until Flash managed to tag Azaria in again*

*Azaria tried to go toe-to-toe with Bruiser Cassidy, big mistake!*

*Dispite encouragement from Calderon on the ring apron and a valiant last minute comeback Azaria finally fell to a Slugging Right from Tank Dixon*

JAMIE VANN HYPES THE CAGE WARRIORS

Ms Jamie Vann and The Cage Warriors Bruiser Cassidy and Tank Dixon climbed into the centre of the ring. Ms Vann declared that they were going straight to the top. First of all next week Tank Dixon will win the LWA Puerto Rican Regional Title, then The Cage Warriors will go on to win the tournament and become the most dominating tag team in LWA history!

Good promo from Jamie Vann. And it seems like she's been told to lose some of her outfit for TV, cos she was down to just a tiny vest and miniskirt tonight! Cassidy and Dixon both looked imposing as hell too!

*Kinsella was really fired up for this match and it showed!*

*Kinsella had Cross on the run for the majority of the match*

*In fact, by 5 minutes in Cross was still yet to make any kind of impression, instead choosing to waste as much time out side of the ring as possible between chancing an offence or two*

*Frustrated, Kinsella followed Cross to the outside*

*Cross, now back in his element, took the fight to Kinsella*

*The two brawled all around ringside. Unfortunately they lost track of the 10 count...*

*... and Ref Joe Preston had to declare the match a double countout*

KINSELLA & CROSS go to a No Contest due to a Double Countout (7:57)

KINSELLA AFTER BLOOD!

Kinsella and Cross continued to brawl at ringside after the match, with various weapons being dragged from hiding places under the ring. Eventually Kinsella hauled out a sledgehammer and Cross ran for it! Kinsella ran after him and the jumbotron displayed Kinsella chasing Cross all the way to the parking lot where Cross jumped in a car and drove off! Kinsella threw the sledgehammer after the car and screamed in rage!

*This match was a pretty even affair with both competitors getting in plenty of offence*

*However Calderon fianlly began to take the upper hand when he reversed a DDT into a back-drop*

*Calderon managed to keep the champion on the run and was about to set La Buey up for the Pride of Puerto Rico...*

*... when Big E climbed onto the apron and started to get into the ring*

*Calderon dropped La Buey and charged Big E, knocking him off the apron to the floor*

*Calderon turned back but was leveled by a clothesline by La Buey*

*The champ went to the top rope and went for his patented Elbow Drop...*

*... but Calderon rolled out of the way!!*

*Ref Joe Preston began the double-down 10 count...*

*... with both men getting to their feet at the 8 count*

*Calderon had the slight time advantage and whipped La Buey at the ropes before levelling him with a dropkick*

*He then picked the champ up and, with cheering from the crowd, hit the Pride of Puerto Rico and covered La Buey for the 3 count & the win*

Without a doubt, the best match to grace the LWA ring for a long time! Calderon and La Buey work so well together in the ring and the passion of both of them for the business is plain for all to see. The title change does make sense though, Calderon is THE face of pro wrestling in Puerto Rico, the best place for him is as the figurehead of the company in the world of TV wrestling

PROPHECY!!!

As Cordero Calderon celebrated his win in the middle of the ring the lights went out.... and when they came back on Calderon was out cold on the mat with WWWE legend PROPHECY standing over him holding a baseball bat. Amid a mixture of cheers and boos from the audience Prophecy bent over, picked up the LWA Legacy Title and looked up. A rope dropped from the lighting rig, Prophecy put his foot in a loop and assended out of sight to end the show.

PROPHECY!! The mystery signing was Prophecy! Fair play to Chase Paige on that one, this can only mean good things for the future of the LWA! And what an impact to make on your debut! Laying out the new champ & national hero Cordero Calderon and stealing the title! Awesome!

OVERALL THOUGHTS

 

An awesome show from the LWA for their TV debut. And OMG! PROPHECY! Seems like having a daddy with connections in the business has come up trumps for Chase Paige. You could tell that Brett Massey is working with the guys backstage too. The quality of the storytelling in the ring went up for sure this show. The LWA will definately have raised their popularity with this one!

LWA DEBUT TV SHOW FALLOUT - PROPHECY!!, PARO UNIMPRESSED AND MUCH MORE

Well the LWA couldn't have hoped for a better debut TV show than that! Congratulations to all involved. Once again a fair bit of news to report from backstage before, during and after the show:

 

PROPHECY!!

As we all now know Chase Paige's 'mystery signing' was none other than former two time WWWE World Heavyweight Champion Prophecy! This is a massive coup for Paige to pull off, and word has it he had to offer the earth to get Prophecy on board: $3500 per appearance with a $2500 per month downside, a 25% merch deal, travel expenses, a main event title run and an undisclosed PPV bonus scheme (I guess Paige is looking to the future with that one). And even then it took some serious work on the part of Chase's dad Turner Paige to get the world famous Prophecy to sign on the dotted line. This could be the turning point for Chase Paige's LWA, plans for Prophecy's future storylines are being kept closely guarded at present but given that Prophecy debuted by stealing Calderon's freshly won LWA Legacy Title a program featuring the two men wouldn't be a huge surprise.

My sources tell me that PWI loaner Ethan Paro was not very impressed in being booked to lose in the LWA's first ever televised match, and in his own words 'especially to the likes of Eric Lothario'. Sources state that he went on to say, 'I mean, yeah, I can see why Paige is trying to use the Lothario name to get the promotion some exposure, but hell,

I'm

the one who's gotta go back to New England and take all the BS off the boys in the PWI lockeroom!'. Eric Lothario wasn't available for comment. Many in the industry feel that pushing Eric Lothario hard is a mistake, that Paige should be using a slow burn if he truly wants to get his friend over, but only time will tell. In the mean time annoying guys like Paro probably isn't the best idea if Paige wants to keep the LWA/PWI partnership alive.

Riley Medeiros, wife of injured LWA luchador Poco Loco, has been seen coming and going from the LWA offices quite a bit over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, due to a massive 'staffing shift' in Chase Paige's offices, that is as much information as we can offer at present. We can only assume that Paige is helping Ms Medeiros during this difficult time, but helping her with what we don't feel it would be right to speculate at this time.

 

 

BIG E BACKSTAGE HEAT

Apparently the former WWWE monster has complained that he has yet to feature in a match for the LWA, despite being one of Chase Paige's first signings back at the end of January. Paige has made it common knowledge that he only hired Big E for his menacing looks, not his in ring talent, but many in the lockeroom are starting to feel that Big E getting paid $1500 a show to stand in La Buey's corner and interfere in matches isn't really on. Word is that Big E is getting a bit of heat off of his peers, and is making sure management get the message!

RIP ERIC LOTHARIO

It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you that LWA's Eric Lothario died in the early hours of yesterday morning. Not a lot is known at this time, only that his gardener got to work at 6am to find the wood chipper he had rented running, with the garden covered in, well, Eric.

 

The circumstances leading to this tragic accident are still unclear. We will bring you more information as it develops. My heart-felt condolences to all of Eric's family and friends at this difficult time.
