INTERVIEW WITH JACK AMERICA

10/01/2012

Welcome back to 'Wrestling in Review'. It's not often a wrestler comes to us and asks for an interview, but that is just what indy star Jack America has done and trust me, it's worth a read!

********************

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- Welcome Jack, great to see you again. And thanks for choosing 'Wrestling in Review'.

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg
- Hey, the pleasure's all mine. Good of you guys to have me.

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- So, lets get right down to it Jack. I've got a list of back-up questions here, but you asked to meet with us, what's on your mind, if you don't mind me asking?

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg
- Ha Ha! See, this is why I came to you guys, always ready to cut right to the bone! OK, you wanna know what's on my mind? The past.

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- Really? Am I about to get some scoop on the personal demons of one of the most whiter-than-white wrestlers in the world today!?!

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg
- HA HA HA!! No, I'm afraid not ?????, I'm talking about the past of professional wrestling. Those good old days where the now legends of this great business slugged it out in front of cheering kids and booing grannies...

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- So you're talking about Gordon Watts' new touring promotion Golden Age Wrestling then?

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg
- Yes ?????, yes I am. You see, I grew up watching those guys wrestle. To me guys like Guy Lothario and Ali Ababwa
are
pro wrestling, and will be till the day they hang up their boots for good. So when I heard about Gordon's new promotion I got in touch with booker Nicky Sanders about maybe working a few tours with them, working with some of my childhood heroes. But he turned me down flat.

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- What?! But surely having a wrestler of your caliber could only help the promotion?

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg
- That's what I tried to explain to Nicky, but he just kept saying the same thing, 'You didn't work for the WWWE, you didn't work for the RAWA. Get lost kid'. So I decided to go over his head, I went to talk to Gordon himself. I told him about my passion for this business, I explained to him that just having legends isn't enough, you have to have people for the legends to beat
who are not legends themselves
. I pointed to his own business model in boxing promotion, how he found himself that you needed young, fresh, exciting guys to hold things together. And you know what, he agreed. He agreed so strongly that he replace Nicky Sanders as head booker. With me!

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- WHAT!!!?! Are you telling me I'm talking to the new head booker of Golden Age Wrestling?!?

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg
- Damn skippy ?????.

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- So what will this actually mean for GAW then Jack?

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg
- Glad you asked. Well, for starters I didn't like the touring schedule that Gordon came up with. After I explained to him that wrestling doesn't really have an off-season he agreed to a two months on, one month off schedule, beginning in February. We'll be running things in four week blocks. So, for example, in February we'll be running four shows out of the Tri-State region, then March four out of New England. Each leg will have it's own storylines that will start and conclude that month, so our fans wont miss out on the end of a feud because we moved out of their region.

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- That sounds pretty good to me Jack. I have to ask though... what about Nicky? Will you guys be able to get along given that you've got his job?

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg
- It's kind of a moot point really ?????. Nicky took the booking job at the Seattle Wrestling Alliance and asked for his release. We parted on amicable terms. To be honest with you, he's a better fit in Seattle. Nicky likes booking athletic guys and has trouble dealing with big egos... legends are not known for their athleticism but they
are
known to sometime have a chip or two on their shoulders! HAHAHA!

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- HAHA! And speaking of legends, I know Sanders had got some way into hiring a roster fitting for a nostalgia tour but I assume you'll be adding your own final touches?

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg
- Indeed I will, but I'd like to wait until I have finallised some deals before I make a full announcement on the legends I have hired. What I will tell you is that Gordon was true to his word and has allowed me to hire some up-and-coming young workers to the roster. Guys at the start of their careers who can make the legends look good and don't mind losing matches to their childhood heroes. Guys like Become a Star entrant José Ángel Garcés and Australia's hottest wrestler 'Mr Hawaii' Dwaine Kai, as well as my self of course and a couple of others.

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- That sounds awesome Jack! But come on! Just a couple of legendary names to get the fans excited...

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg
- OK, OK! You want a couple of names? How about former WWWE World & UPJ International Heavyweight Champion and hardcore legend 'Dr Texas' Terry Rapada? Or former RAWA World Heavyweight, US & TV Champion Rudy Single? They'll be joining legends already on the roster like Ali Ababwa, Jack Bodydrop & Nytro, as well as a whole host of others.

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- WHOA!! That's some pretty big names there already, I can't wait to see the final roster! Anyway, I can tell you're itching to get out of here and get back to work, so thank you Jack America for choosing to break this story with us here at 'Wrestling in Review'. Do you have any final words for the fans?

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg
- I sure do ?????: If you live in the Tri-State and you want to re-live your wrestling youth, head on down to the Weston Gymnasium every Wednesday night in February and watch your favorite WWWE & RAWA stars of yesteryear duke it out once again!

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5553/thegrandavatar.jpg
- Jack America, thank you very much.

********************

So big news there for nostalgia wrestling! As always, we'll bring you any more news on this as it develops. This is me, signing off for now.

JANUARY 23RD 2012

GOLDEN AGE WRESTLING COMES TO NEW JERSEY

FEBRUARY 3RD 2012

GAW TAG TEAM TITLE LOTTERY MATCH

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpghttp://img13.imageshack.us/img13/7786/kennyforeman.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img21.imageshack.us/img21/4622/lumberjackz.jpghttp://img255.imageshack.us/img255/3479/yukonjacques.jpg

TEAM AMERICA

(Jack America & Kenny Foreman)

vs

THE WOODCUTTERS

(Lumber Jack & Yukon Jacques)

This match-up is something of a wildcard. All the tag teams of Golden Age Wrestling's names were put in a hat, with the two that were pulled out at random having the honour of facing off for the vacant GAW American Tag Team Titles. Team America certainly have that USA spirit but have never wrestled a match together, The Woodcutters have two WWWE World Tag Team Title reigns under their belts and years of tagging together... will youth triumph over experience?

TAG TEAM LEGENDS IN SINGLES ACTION

http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/6173/leeearl.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img854.imageshack.us/img854/2843/blairbrunzell.jpg

LEE EARL vs BLAIR BRUNZELL

&

http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/9973/billyray.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img684.imageshack.us/img684/9889/bbrianbrowne.jpg

BILLY RAY vs B. BRIAN BROWNE

The Moonshiners were just celebrating their winning of the WWWE World Tag Team Titles when The Flying Bullets were on their way out of the promotion, The Bullets having held their last gold in the WWWE seven years earlier in 1990. The two teams were from different eras of the WWWE but have tusseled many times before in tag action. However, this will be the first time they have ever faced off in singles competition.

DOUBLE DOMINATION

http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/6327/aliababwa.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img225.imageshack.us/img225/1651/eviscerator.jpg

ALI ABABWA vs EVISCERATOR

At the height of his career The Iron Shiek was one of the most feared wrestlers in WWWE history. At the height of Eviscerator's career he was the often laughed at Prince Charmless. Over the years Ali Ababwa has mellowed and accepted that the fans love him for being him. However Prince Charmless has tried to distance himself from the legacy Turner Paige left him with, and has been destroying indy wrestlers around the country for years trying to bury his past. Ali Ababwa is keen to put an end to Eviscerator's national reign of terror and show the man-mountain a thing or two about wrestling... and fear.

WHEN LEGENDS COLLIDE

http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/9866/rudysingle.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img24.imageshack.us/img24/5532/jackbodydrop.jpg

RUDY SINGLE vs JACK BODYDROP

In yet another first, 'All Man' Rudy Single will face off against Jack Bodydrop. With Single having been a loyal RAWA-er to the end and Bodydrop staying with the WWWE from his debut until the company folded these two men have never even worked in the same promotion before, let alone faced off in the ring.

MAIN EVENT MATCH for the VACANT GAW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/3440/kaypasa.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img853.imageshack.us/img853/1456/drtexas.jpg

'The Big Cahoona'
KAY PASA vs
'Dr Texas'
TERRY RAPADA

'Dr Texas' Terry Rapada's place in this match is self-evident. He has held titles all over the world, from tag team titles to hardcore titles, from being the World's Most Extreme Tournament winner of 2002 to being a two time WWWE World Champion, 'Dr Texas' has done it all. Kay Pasa, on the other hand, despite having a storied & successful career and still being as popular as he was ten years ago, has never held gold in a major promotion. GAW owner Gordon Watts has always been a massive fan of 'The Big Cahoona' and so insisted it be Kay Pasa who was given a shot at the GAW World Heavyweight Title.

*PLUS THE REST OF THE GAW LEGENDS WILL ALSO BE IN ACTION!*

I'll be at the THE WESTON GYMNASIUM, NEW JERSEY on WEDNESDAY 3RD FEBRUARY for Golden Age Wrestling's debut show, will you?

GOLDEN AGE WRESTLING COMES TO NEW JERSEY

NIGHT#1

http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/5173/gawbanner.jpg

HELD AT THE WESTON GYMNASIUM, NEW JERSEY

IN FRONT OF 300 STRONG SELL-OUT CROWD

FEBRUARY 3RD 2012

GAW TAG TEAM TITLE LOTTERY MATCH

http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/251/gawtagteam.jpg

TEAM AMERICA

(Jack America & Kenny Foreman)

vs

THE WOODCUTTERS

(Lumber Jack & Yukon Jacques)

*A classic slow vs quick tag team match to start things off here*

*To begin with Team America ran rings around the big veterans...*

*...until Yukon Jacques caught Kenny Foreman with a short-arm clothesline which spun the youngster a full 270 degrees to land face first on the mat*

*From that point The Woodcutters cut the ring in half for Foreman*

*After toying with the rookie while making sure the fired up Jack America couldn't make the tag...*

*...the veterans finished him off with The Bandsaw
(Irish Whip/Running Clothsline combo)
, Yukon Jacques making the cover while Lumber Jack knocked Jack America off the apron*

THE WOODCUTTERS win via pinfall to become the NEW GAW AMERICAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS (8:20)

Reviewers Thoughts:
A good, solid opening match here, with Jack America, it seems, being true to his word: If they're a legend, he'll job to them! A good showing from rookie Kenny Foreman, he took his pounding like a pro and The Woodcutters certainly proved that they've still got it by being trusted with the American Tag Titles straight off the bat.

THE CIRCUS COMES TO TOWN... AND MAKES A CHALLENGE

Traditional circus music began blaring out of the PA and The Ringmaster and The Strongman made their way to the ring. The Ringmaster presented The Strongman in the finest traditions of the circus IE. 'Roll up, Roll up! Come see the 8th wonder of the world...' etc etc.

At the announce desk it was pretty obvious Juggernaut and Monstrosity were having a blast ripping into The Strongman for the webcast recording. The Ringmaster went on to say that The Strongman could best any two men in the ring... then pointed at The Devestators, 'How about you jolly fellows there?'

Juggernaut & Monstrosity looked at each other, shrugged, stood up, took off their headsets and, to chants of 'DEV-A-STAT-ORS, *clap* *clap* *clap**clap**clap*' from the crowd, climbed into the ring while The Ringmaster joined Gordon Watts at the announce desk.

Reviewers Thoughts:
Pretty good segment there, introduced The Ringmaster & The Strongman nicely (well, given their awful run in the WWWE anyway), and it was amazing to be part of that Devastators chant (I'm a mark, sue me), took me right back to my youth.

THE DEVASTATORS

(Juggernaut & Monstrosity)

vs

THE STRONGMAN

*At first The Strongman challenged Monstrosity to a test of strength...*

*...which after a minute or two The Strongman looked to be winning...*

*...until Juggernaut shook his head at his struggling partner, laughed in The Strongman's face and booted him hard in the gut!*

*From there things were pretty one-sided as The Strongman fell prey to the numbers game...*

*...with The Devastators hitting The Devastation Drop
(Elevated Top Rope Clothesline)
to pick up the win*

THE DEVASTATORS win via pinfall (6:20)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Good that they gave The Strongman to show off his strength against Monstrosity, but this was pretty much a way to remind the crowd that The Devastators, even though they are winding down their careers, are still a force to be reckoned with!

LEE EARL
(w/Billy Ray)
vs BLAIR BRUNZELL
(w/B. Brian Browne)

*Both men were accompanied to the ring by their tag team partners*

*The match was a pretty even affair that mainly consisted of Brunzell trying to avoid Earl and hitting him with the odd high-flying move*

*Unfortunately a miss-placed dropkick laid out the referee!*

*This lead to all four men brawling in the ring...*

*...until the referee woke up, saw Browne and went to get him out of the ring*

*The Moonshiners took full advantage of the distraction and hit The Moonshine Effect
(Double Brainbuster)
on Blair Brunzell...*

*...Billy Ray base-ball sliding out of the ring into B. Brian Browne's face just in time for the ref to turn around and make the 3 count*

LEE EARL wins via pinfall (9:04)

Reviewers Thoughts:
A decent match, no surprise that all four men got involved.

BILLY RAY
(w/Lee Earl)
vs B. BRIAN BROWNE
(w/Blair Brunzell)

*With Browne still reeling from the base-ball slide to the face Billy Ray took early control of the match*

*However Browne recovered and made a comeback, and after hitting a vicious running back elbow went up top, preparing to hit his patented Frog Splash...*

*...when Lee Earl jumped onto the ring apron and shook the ropes!*

*Browne came crashing down on the outside, straight on top of his tag partner!*

*Earl rolled Browne into the ring, Billy Ray picked him up and delivered the Banjo Drop
(Spinebuster Bomb)
on Browne before covering him for an easy pinfall*

BILLY RAY wins via pinfall (10:26)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Yeah, solid match, heel team cheat to win, yadayadayada. Solid, classic, what you'd expect from a midcard WWWE... errr, I mean GAW match

SPIKE DARYL vs TONY CHI

*At first the cocky Spike Daryl tried to out-wrestle youngster Tony Chi, but found he was equally matched*

*Then he tried to go toe-to-toe with the rookie, but had to retreat to the outside when Chi's puroresu skills outclassed him*

*But the Daryl pulled out his high-flying style and a lucky shot sent Chi to the mat where Daryl managed to scrape a pinfall with his feet on the ropes, before bailing to the outside to bask in the booing of the audience*

SPIKE DARYL wins via pinfall (8:17)

Reviewers Thoughts:
A nice change of pace after the last two old school matches, and Tony Chi came over pretty well there

STEAMBOAT HUDSON INTRODUCES HIS TAG TEAM PARTNER

Steamboat Hudson came out and cut a garbled promo about how tonight his tag team partner makes him more of a Loveboat, before bringing out José Ángel Garcés with a girl on each arm

Reviewers Thoughts:
Wow! I'm sorry, but who the hell let Hudson near the mic? Even José Ángel Garcés looked unimpressed but, to be fair, he could have made a better job of promoting himself

GRADE: E

CRASH & BURN

vs

STEAMBOAT HUDSON & JOSE ANGEL GARCES

*Hudson and Burn started off the match, with Hudson using his size advantage to gain the upper hand*

*Then Huson tagged in Garcés who tried to tie Burn up in knots*

*Garcés locked in a figure 4 leg lock but Burn managed to use
his
size advantage over Garcés to reverse it and tag in the fired up Crash who went to town on Garcés*

*Hudson never got a chance to tag back in or even interfere in the match as Burn distracted him on the outside while Crash hit the Crashdown
(Opponent's feet on the top rope DDT)
to secure the win for his team*

CRASH & BURN win via pinfall (7:48)

Reviewers Thoughts:
A decent showing from Garcés there, he plays up to his teen idol gimmick well and sold like a trooper. Good move on keeping Hudson on the outside for most of the match, he looked blown up after just the short amount of time he spent in the ring. And Crash & Burn, well, they just went out there and did their thing.

EVISCERATOR vs 'The Iron Sheik' ALI ABABWA

*This one started off with Ali Ababwa using his technical knowledge to his advantage, reversing punches and grapples before laughing and doing a little dance *

*Pretty soon Eviscerator lost it completely and just charged at The Iron Skeik, sending them both over the top rope to the outside*

*The pair brawled around the outside of the ring before Eviscerator slammed Ababwa onto the ring steps*

*To his credit, Ali Ababwa got back up, picked up the ring steps and threw them at Eviscerators head...*

*...but by that point the ref had reached a double 10 count and thrown the match out*

*Officials and security rushed to the ring and seperated the two men before leading first Ali Ababwa, then Eviscerator, to the back*

DOUBLE COUNTOUT (6:04)

Reviewers Thoughts:
At first the crowd were pretty hot for this match but as it went on I got the feeling that quite a few people felt uncomfortable with the level of violence the two men were throwing at each other. Pretty sure this isn't the last time these guys will face off this tour, but I hope next time they keep in crowd appropriate

NYTRO vs DWAINE KAI

*A classic star vs jobber match*

*Kai got in the odd bit of offense here and there, but the match was dominated by Nytro*

*Despite what looked like a comeback by Kai Nytro countered a DDT and locked in the Hand Of Frost
(Claw)
...*

*...leaving Kai no choice but to tap out, not that the bell meant Nytro released the hold straight away of course*

NYTRO wins via submission (9:20)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Skills wise Nytro and Kai seemed pretty evenly matched, but I would have to say that Dwaine Kai is definately the better wrestler of the two. Dwaine did a great job of making Nytro not only look dangerous, but IMO the 'rookie' carried the 'legend' to a pretty good match. Shame the crowd were still reeling a bit from the previous match, they didn't get as behind this one as it deserved

SINGLE PROMOS, BODYDROP ATTACKS

After both men have entered the ring ready for their match Single motioned to ringside for a mic. He gave one of his famous promos, berating the former bodybuilder Jack for being a one trick pony in the WWWE and copying Bodydrop's classic poses. Bodydrop laughed, then looked serious, then charged at Single!

Reviewers Thoughts:
Great promo from Rudy single, nuff said. Kinda glad that Bodydrop just attacked rather then grabbing the mic to try and compete verbally with the 'All Man'.

'All Man' RUDY SINGLE vs JACK BODYDROP

*For many fans this was one of those dream matches, and it didn't disappoint*

*The match went back and forth for around 9 minutes before Rudy Single started to take the advantage*

*After a series of suplexs Rudy Single went up to the top rope...*

*...and as Jack Bodydrop got up Single delivered his patented Flying Double Axe Handle Smash to Bodydrop's skull...*

*...before covering him for the pinfall victory*

RUDY SINGLE wins via pinfall (11:03)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Man, these guys work so well in the ring together its untrue, if they had faced each other in their prime it would have for sure been a candidate for Match of the Decade. However, with both men at the tail end of their careers it was meerly fantastic! A classic.

SINGLE CELEBRATES

After the match 'All Man' Rudy Single spent a full five minutes celebrating and posing for pictures for the crowd before grabbing the mic and informing the crowd that after the show him and some of the guys would be in the foyer to sign pictures & merch for fans, $5 a pop... the crowd went wild!

Reviewers Thoughts:
Nice of Single to let the crowd get a good look at him... and let them know he'll be working the merch stand like a pro!

'The Big Cahoona' KAY PASA vs 'Dr Texas' TERRY RAPADA

*This started as a back-and-forth affair, but quickly 'Dr Texas' began to take the advantage*

*Despite making several comebacks during the match...*

*...Terry Rapada kept working Kay Pasa's lower back...*

*...before locking in the Abdominal Stretch, leaving Kay Pasa no choise but to tap*

TERRY RAPADA wins via submission to become the NEW GAW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE (13:22)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Honestly? This match could have been better. Terry Rapada didn't look all there at all, and both guys were blown up by the end of the match. Which is a shame really, as it obviously had the seeds of something great.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

A solid show for the most part. Great to see so many old school wrestlers on one card, even better to know that this isn't just another one off tribute show!

The youngsters the Jack America hired all seem to have fit in quite well too. They all seem happy to job to the older guys... but then, it was the first show. Lets see how happy they are in a couple of tours time...

The only real problem in my opinion was that Rudy Single is blatently the star of the show, but I also know the Terry Rapada is Jack America's all-time favorite wrestler so....

GAW FALLOUT - JOSE ANGEL GARCES MAKING WAVES AND MORE

FEBRUARY 4TH 2012

So, the first show from Golden Age Wrestling is done and dusted, and it was a pretty good show, here is some backstage gossip from it:

JOSE ANGEL GARCES MAKING WAVES

http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/8278/joseangelgarces.jpg

José Ángel Garcés has reportedly ruffled a few feathers in the GAW lockeroom in his very first show. Garcés was overheard complaining to fellow rookie Dwaine Kai that he had to tag with a useless lump like Steamboat Hudson. Apparently this reached the ears of Jack America who took José Ángel Garcés to one side and explained in no uncertain terms that he was here to do a job and if he didn't like it he knew where the door was. Garcés apologised but skuttlebutt is that he's not particularly happy about getting chewed out on his first show.

ANNOUNCE TEAM GOLD

http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/903/gordonwatts.jpghttp://img24.imageshack.us/img24/496/juggernautx.jpghttp://img571.imageshack.us/img571/1985/monstrosity.jpg

I've now watched the webcast of last night's show and OMG! the combo of Gordon Watts & The Devestators on the announce desk is amazing! Watts has great chemistry with both Juggernaut & Monstrosity, you'd think they'd all been calling matches together for years.

My sources tell me that Juggernaut & Monstrosity will be continuing to pull double duty at their own request, which will not only see one of the greatest tag teams in history gracing the ring every week, but also a succession of GAW legends providing the guest colour commentary for their matches!

JACK AMERICA HAPPY

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2066/jackamerica.jpg

Jack America is reportedly very happy with how last night's show went, he apparently wasn't expecting a full house and has high hopes for the future of Golden Age Wrestling. Let's hope he's right because I hear that GAW has been entered into the totalextremewrestling.com Regional Battles list in no less that SEVEN regions across the US! With GAW facing off against non-touring promotions they'll have more chances to take those valuable top spots but only time will tell.

TERRY THUNDER RETURNS!

http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/5425/terrythunder.jpg

The legend is BACK! Terry Thunder has returned to the world of professional wrestling! However I can unfortunately confirm that the living legend has already turned down a contract to tour with Golden Age Wrestling, stating that the small promotion, despite surely being the ideal place for Thunder to make his in-ring comeback, just isn't worth his time. It seems that the fans will just have to wait for the dream match that would be Terry Thunder vs Rudy Single.

********************

And that's all the GAW news we have for you for now, but rest assured we'll have the card up for next week's show just as soon as it's posted on goldenagewrestling.com. Till next time,

Crash and Burn have challenged anyone from the GAW roster to a match at the next show, but at the time of writing no-one has stepped forward to accept the challenge...

ANOTHER FIRST

'All Man'
RUDY SINGLE vs THE STRONGMAN

Following The Strongman's embarrassing defeat at the hands of The Devastators at the last show The Ringmaster has demanded a 'high-profile' opponent for this weeks show, so The Strongman is now due to face one of the most high profile men in wrestling history, 'All Man' Rudy Single! The Strongman is yet another WWWE Legend the has never faced off with Single before, and Rudy seems pretty keen to beat every former WWWE wrestler he can, but with The Strongman's raw power and The Ringmaster at his side anything could happen... right?

THE PAN-PACIFIC EXPRESS

(Dwaine Kai & Tony Chi)

The Woodcutters convincingly defeated Team America on the last show. This show they will defend their titles for the first time against the newly formed team of Hawiian, Dwaine Kai & Malaysian, Tony Chi, The Pan-Pacific Express. These two youngsters are two of the best up-and-coming wrestlers in the business today, but can they defeat the veteran experience of The Woodcutters?

THE MOONSHINERS

(Billy Ray & Lee Earl)

vs

THE FLYING BULLETS

(B. Brian Browne & Blair Brunzell)

Following last show's singles matches where The Moonshiners could not resist interfering in each others matches this week the two teams will face off in tag competition. Only this time the GAW management have decided that the winners will go on to face The Woodcutters/The Pan-Pacific Express for the GAW American Tag Team Titles!

ABABWA VS BODYDROP XXIV

'The Iron Sheik'
ALI ABABWA vs JACK BODYDROP

After the violence of Ali Ababwa vs Eviscerator last show management have decided to keep the two men seperate. Following his loss last show to Rudy Single Bodydrop will be looking to dominate this match, but given that (as the match title suggests) these two man have faced off many times before is there anything new he can bring to the table that will take the veteran Sheik off guard?

MAIN EVENT MATCH for the GAW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

JACK AMERICA vs
'Dr Texas'
TERRY RAPADA ©

'Dr Texas' Terry Rapada placed an open challenge on the table after last week's show, declaring that he could successfully defend his GAW World Heavyweight Title against any man on the GAW roster. The man who made it to the table first was the patriotic Jack America. Having missed out on tag team gold last show can Jack beat one of the best in the business to claim his first ever professional wrestling gold?

*PLUS THE REST OF THE GAW LEGENDS WILL ALSO BE IN ACTION!*

I'll be at the THE WESTON GYMNASIUM, NEW JERSEY on WEDNESDAY 10TH FEBRUARY for Golden Age Wrestling's second show out of New Jersey, will you?
