GAW FALLOUT - WHAT WAS DWAINE KAI THINKING?? AND MORE

MAY 6TH 2012

So, the first GAW show in Hawaii is done and dusted, and what a rollercoaster ride it was! Here is some GAW news from backstage:

WHAT WAS DWAINE KAI THINKING??

http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/8329/mrhawaii.jpghttp://img585.imageshack.us/img585/9286/atongaalt.jpg

Before the last GAW show Dwaine Kai made one hell of an error in judgement. The Hawaiian was obviously over-excited to be wrestling on his home turf but who in their right mind would plan a practical joke on Samoan hardman Atonga?!? However, it appears that is exactly what he did! Kai hid in Atonga's private dressing room and when the AWF star walked in Kai emptied two cans of silly-string on him, shouted 'WELCOME TO HAWAII!!' and ran off! Atonga didn't see the funny side though. Jack America was apparently furious with the young Hawaiian and read him the riot act, making it totally plain to Kai that that kind of behaviour was unacceptable. Kai is reported to have said to his cousin Kay Pasa later on that he thought Jack America over-reacted, after all, it was just a joke, but his cousin also gave him a serious talking to about respect in the business, which apparently left Kai with a bit to think about.

DUSK STAR SPEAKS TO WRESTLING IN REVIEW

http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/2450/erinchristoph.jpg

We were lucky enough to talk to Dusk octrilogy star and latest Golden Age Wrestling acquisition Erin Christoph last night about his involvement in GAW.

On joining GAW:

http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/2450/erinchristoph.jpg
- Well, you know, I was surprised when my agent told me she'd got a call from some guy calling himself Jack America. I mean, I've been a fan of Jack's for a while, it's no secret that I'm a big grapple fan! When Jess
(Jessica Thunder)
got me into AWF for a night I was over the moon, if I hadn't had to go off and film Dusk VI I'd have hung around for sure. So yeah, I had my agent set up a meeting. When Jack told me the score and told me the first month would basicaly be a vacation in Hawaii working one night a week and doing some signings, well, you just don't turn down that kind of gig man!

On his character:

http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/2450/erinchristoph.jpg
- Ha, yeah. Well I figured Jack just wanted me to come down and pull in the teenage market, doing meet and greets, maybe as a guest ring announcer or a guest ref or something. Then he spelled out what he wanted me to be... I wasn't sure at first how well it'd go down with the fans, but they bought it totally man! I'm so stoked! I mean, in AWF they just threw trash at me. Yeah, it worked, but to actually have a crowd buy into the vampire gimmick... yeah, that felt awesome!

On the lockeroom reaction:

http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/2450/erinchristoph.jpg
- HAHA!! Funny story there! I walked in & a guy I didn't recognise came over and asked for my autograph, I gave it him and he asked if I was looking for the booking office or something, asked if I was in Hawaii on vacation & was I coming to the show? I figured the guy was ring crew and told him that I was there to see Jack, I didn't wanna let anything slip, just in case ya know? I know how secretive wrestling can be. So he walked me up to Jack's office. On the way we chatted a bit, the guy asked me who my favorite tag team were back in the day, I told him, Crash & Burn. The guy laughed hard and asked me if I was sure, I said yeah. I just told him, I was a big power and paint fan as a kid, all my friends loved The Devastators, but Crash & Burn were my guys. So we got up to Jack's office and the guy said his goodbyes. Then Jack told me the punchline, the guy who walked me to the office was
Crash
! Man, I was so embarrassed when I walked into the lockeroom for the first time after that, but yeah, none of the guys gave me any stick or anything. Blair
(Brunzell)
& Brian
(Browne)
jokingly muttered something about me liking Crash & Burn more, but nothing, you know, nasty.

On working with Count Lugosi:

http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/2450/erinchristoph.jpg
- Oh, the guy is a class act, so many guys I know back in Hollywood could learn a thing or two from him. I mean, I know guys who are method actors, but Lugosi beat um all man.

On his future in GAW:

http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/2450/erinchristoph.jpg
- Oh, nice try man! I ain't gonna tell you no spoilers man, but trust me, it's gonna be a fun ride!

So there you have it, a young Hollywood star seemingly happy to be in the nostalgiafest that is Golden Age Wrestling!

KAY PASA JOINS THE CLUB™

http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/3440/kaypasa.jpg

GAW World Heavyweight Champion 'The Big Cahoona' Kay Pasa signed a non-exclusive PPA contract with Pop! Network owned The Club™ last night. He has reportedly assured GAW booker Jack America that it won't interfere with his work in GAW, although there is no news yet on what Kay Pasa's role will be in the gritty underground TV show that is The Club™.

DWAINE KAI & SAM LONG JOIN WWB

http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/8329/mrhawaii.jpghttp://img248.imageshack.us/img248/4112/random6z.jpg

Dwaine Kai and GAW colour commentator Sam Long have both accepted non-exclusive PPA contracts with new Terry Rapada booked promotion Wrestling Without Borders. Rapada is said to be very impressed with Long's work on the mic and will be using him as the promotion's lead announcer. As for Dwaine Kai, Rapada has said to Kai publicly that he has all the tools to be one of the greatest wrestlers of his generation if he can keep out of trouble, it seems that he's going to try and make it happen too! With WWB's shows scheduled for Sundays it at least won't interfere with the pair's GAW commitments.

********************

And that's all the GAW news we have for you for now, but rest assured we'll have the card for the next GAW show up as soon as it's up on goldenagewrestling.com. Till then,

GAW BREAKING NEWS - LEROY WINTERS IN HOT WATER

MAY 7TH 2012

http://imageshack.us/a/img31/5026/leroywinters.jpg

It seems that the controversial new gimmick and hat sported by AWF star Leroy Winters at Golden Age Wrestling's latest has caused quite a stir, and not just with the fans. Or sources have confirmed that Jack America hit the roof when he realised what was going on, had no idea Winters had any intentions to do something so risky. Obviously he had planned Winters having something approaching this gimmick, but apparently nothing so full blown as a Black Panthers hat and salute!

Winters reportedly told AWF friend Buddy Holland that he was: '...just doing the gimmick the only way he could think of...' but only time will tell in the gimmick will resurface on the next show.

I mean, I know GAW is meant to be going back to the good old days, but this might be going a little far!

GOLDEN AGE WRESTLING COMES TO HAWAII

MAY 11TH 2012

LOTTERY MATCH for the GAW ALL-AMERICAN TITLE

http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/484/buddyholland.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img854.imageshack.us/img854/2843/blairbrunzell.jpg

BUDDY HOLLAND vs BLAIR BRUNZELL ©

Once again Blair Brunzell's All-American Title has been placed in the GAW Title Lottery system. This time the random challenger is long time WWWE & AWF veteran Buddy Holland. Although Holland's career seems to be winding down he's not through just yet and the crafty veteran may still have one last title run in him!

TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT: ROUND#1

http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/505/spikedaryl.jpghttp://img849.imageshack.us/img849/8278/joseangelgarces.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img840.imageshack.us/img840/6327/aliababwa.jpghttp://img822.imageshack.us/img822/2368/thetrawler.jpg

DARYL & GARCES vs ABABWA & HUDSON

Well it seems like GAW Management
were
listening to Nytro's rant at last week's show as a Tag Team Tournament has been set up: This week two pairs of two teams will face off, the winners will face off in Round#2 next week and the winners of that round will go on to face The Arctic Alliance in the Tour Finale Show at the end of the month. The first two pairing to face off will be regular if strange partners Daryl & Garces and on the other side of the ring they will be facing off against WWWE Legends Ali Ababwa & Steamboat Hudson. These two men have never teamed before, despite being firm friends for years. Will the regular teaming od Darly & Garces advance or will the legends step up and secure their chance at a shot at gold?

TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT: ROUND#1

http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/4622/lumberjackz.jpghttp://img255.imageshack.us/img255/3479/yukonjacques.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img17.imageshack.us/img17/4919/duanedavies.jpghttp://imageshack.us/a/img12/6236/rickewaters.jpg

THE WOODCUTTERS

(Lumber Jack & Yukon Jacques)

vs

THE STREET SURVIVORS

(Duane Davies & Rick E. Waters)

In the second match of Round#1 of the Tag Team Tournament The Woodcutters will be facing off against the badass southern team of Duane Davies & Rick E. Waters, The Street Survivors. Both teams come into the tournament off of solid wins on the first show of the tour, but which team has what it takes to advance to the next round?

NON-TITLE MATCH

http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/3332/nytro.jpghttp://imageshack.us/a/img204/551/tundraalt.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img16.imageshack.us/img16/4185/blankbackground.jpghttp://img16.imageshack.us/img16/4185/blankbackground.jpg

THE ARCTIC ALLIANCE

(Nytro & Tundra)

vs

??? & ???

With the Tag Team Tournament in place the champions are banned from defending their titles until the final show of the tour, but that doesn't mean they don't want to get some practice in! So they've put out the challenge, if a team can beat them in a non-title match this week they'll get put straight in to the final, making it a 3-Way Tag Match!

MATCH for the GAW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/7555/revolverbinksalt.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img84.imageshack.us/img84/3440/kaypasa.jpg

REVOLVER BINKS vs
'The Big Cahoona'
KAY PASA ©

Well Jerry Malone has certainly been earning his agent's fee already, having secured his son and client Revolver Binks a shot at the GAW World Heavyweight Title on his second ever appearance with the company! For his part, Kay Pasa is actually quite looking forward to slapping some respect into Binks after his comments about the Hawaiian people at last week's show.

MAIN EVENT - ATONGA'S OPEN CHALLENGE

http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/9286/atongaalt.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img16.imageshack.us/img16/4185/blankbackground.jpg

ATONGA
(w/Dr James Perle)
vs ???

At last week's show Dr Perle unveiled his latest discovery, the one man Samoan Wrecking Machine, Atonga, and offered any man on the GAW roster the chance to take on the mighty powerhouse in the Main Event of this week's show. Thus far, however, no-one has been brave enough to come forward...

*PLUS THE REST OF THE GAW LEGENDS WILL ALSO BE IN ACTION!*

I'll be at the THE MAUI ARTS & CULTURE CENTER, MAUI on THURSDAY 11TH MAY for GOLDEN AGE WRESTLING COMES TO HAWAII, will you?

BUDDY HOLLAND vs BLAIR BRUNZELL

I don´t see Holland getting the title here though no that I think of it I´m not sure why. I mean yes he´s old and way past his prime but isn´t that kind of the idea here. :p

DARYL & GARCES vs ABABWA & HUDSON

Ababwa is by far the biggest name in this one and it should be enough to carry him into second round.

THE WOODCUTTERS vs STREET SURVIVORS

Normally I would go with Survivors but since I picked faces to win the other tournament match, I go with heels here.

ARCTIC ALLIANCE vs Crash & Burn (bonus points for correct guesses)

Three way sounds like fun and since Jack America´s team just had a shot I go with Crash & Burn.

REVOLVER BINKS vs KAY PASA

Binks is too new to get the title yet.

ATONGA vs Jack Americana (bonus point for correct guess)

Will be a big name since it´s main event and all. I go with booker man himself as Pasa is already fighting elsewhere on the card.

GOLDEN AGE WRESTLING COMES TO HAWAII

SHOW #2

http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/5173/gawbanner.jpg

HELD AT THE MAUI ARTS & CULTURE CENTER, MAUI

IN FRONT OF A 202 PAYING CUSTOMERS

MAY 11TH 2012

'All Man' RUDY SINGLE vs B. BRIAN BROWNE

*Another competitive match to start off this show as well*

*Single spent most of the match on the offensive...*

*...but Browne got a few good licks in, to the point where Single stood dazed in the ring while Browne went up top*

*But as Browne steadied himself on the top turnbuckle Single sprang into action!*

*Single hit the ropes opposite Browne, making him rock and jump down into the ring*

*Unfortunately as Browne landed in the ring on his feet a rebounding Rudy Single leveled him with his patented Flying Axe Handle Smash for the sudden victory*

RUDY SINGLE wins via pinfall (7:56)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Errrrrrrr... didn't we see pretty much the same match from Browne & Marshal Law last week?!? Oh well, to be fair, Single did do a slightly better job than Law last week

GRADE: C-

http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/9866/rudysingle.jpg

RUDY SINGLE PROMO

After the match Rudy Single grabbed a mic from ringside and began to rant about the state of wrestling today. He told the crowd he was disgusted with the scene today, and that it is practically criminal that the living legend that is the 'All Man' Rudy Single has not had a single shot at gold in Golden Age Wrestling. He ended with:

'All you chumps in the back with gold around your waist, you better watch out, cos the All Man is comin for ya, OOOOOOOOOO YEAHHHHHHHHHHH!'

Reviewers Thoughts:
FINALLY! Rudy Single is the title race! About time I say!

TAG TOURNAMENT MATCH: ROUND#1, MATCH#1

http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/505/spikedaryl.jpghttp://img849.imageshack.us/img849/8278/joseangelgarces.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://img840.imageshack.us/img840/6327/aliababwa.jpghttp://img822.imageshack.us/img822/2368/thetrawler.jpg

DARYL & GARCES vs ABABWA & HUDSON

*This was a pretty short match...*

*...but that doesn't mean the four men didn't pack a lot in!*

*A lot of back and forth but Ababwa and Hudson, with their size advantage and between them over 50 years of in ring experience, managed to outsmart their opponents*

*After a couple of 3 count interuptions from the heels Ababwa distracted, then locked in the Camel Clutch on Garces on the outside of the ring...*

*...while Hudson delivered the Running Splash on Daryl with no interuptions to pick up the victory*

ABABWA & HUDSON win via pinfall (6:01)

Reviewers Thoughts:
You know what? That wasn't a bad match there! Ababwa & Hudson clicked
really
well, I would go as far as to say that if they'd been paired up back in the day by Turner Paige they might even be considered a legendary tag team by now! Daryl & Garces did their jobs well too. All in all, way better than watching your average Steamboat Hudson match and the legends go through to the next round.

THE BROOKLYN BULLY vs 'Mr Hawaii' DWAINE KAI

*Shockingly, Dwaine Kai dominated this match from the outset!*

*Pretty much everything the Bully threw at Kai the young Hawaiian countered...*

*...and when Kai hit the Maui Masher
(Rock Bottom)
it was all but over*

*'Mr Hawaii' did his funny little dance, hit the ropes and delivered The People's Legdrop, before covering the Bully for the pin*

DWAINE KAI wins via pinfall (6:23)

Reviewers Thoughts:
And the crowd goes wild! Kai is pretty damn over in Hawaii, the crowd loved this one. But you know what? The Brooklyn Bully didn't deserve that after a decent win over Tony Chi last week, and you could kinda tell he felt the same way. For the treatment of The Brooklyn Bull I'm only going to give this a...

THE LEGACY GROWS

The spooky synth/goth/electro/metal music that was the theme music for teen vampire movie octrilogy Dusk began to play, dry ice covered the stage and Count Lugosi with his nephew Erik (now sporting the same outfit as his uncle) walked out and made their way to the ring, Lugosi genuinely scaring children by jumping towards them, fangs bared.

Once in the ring Erik grabbed a mic and began another long and winding 'coming of the undead' speech, before declaring that the man who had been so unrespectfull to the Lugosi clan last week has now been converted, due to no longer having a soul! He followed that by introducing the newest member of the Dusk Legacy, The Zombie Prophet!

The lights went completely out for a second, and when they came back up a man, his face a bloody skull, stood in the ring beside the Lugosis, a mic in his hand. He raised it to his lips and, with a voice like a death rattle, told the world:

'Your souls will all belong to us... you will join my Zombie Armada... You will belong to the Clan Lugosi... Your death will be your new life......
join us
'.

As he spoke the lights slowly turned red so that at the end of it all everything was bathed in blood red light.

Reviewers Thoughts:
(Un)Holy Hell! OK, I'm a wrestling reviewer, and after a while the whole 'suspension-of-disbelief' then can get tricky with way out there gimmicks, but these three men played it to perfection! Christian... sorry, Zombie Prophet is a fantastic addition to the group, I knew I recognised that kid last week!

THE CLAN LUGOSI
(w/Erik Lugosi)

(Count Lugosi & The Zombie Prophet)

vs

CRASH & BURN

*Despite having both the size and experience advantage Crash & Burn didn't really get much of a look in early on in this match*

*However the tables looked to be turned at around the five minute mark when Burn took the advantage by poking the eye of Lugosi*

*The Count screamed out 'AHHHHCH! My onlhy veekness!!' and dropped to the floor, seemingly out cold!*

*Burn looked confused for a minute, then went to cover Lugosi, but Prophet interupted the count*

*Burn tagged in Crash and the pair set up the Crash n Burn...*

*...but as Burn hit the Backbreaker part of the combo the Count's eyes sprang open wide! He lunged for Burn's neck and locked in the Vampire Bite!*

*Meanwhile, with Burn & Lugosi out of position Crash did exactly that, landing hard on the mat!*

*With Burn out for the count, blood on his neck, Lugosi went and tagged in the Zombie Prophet, who picked up Crash and delivered the World's End
(Sitout Scoop Slam)
and covered him for the pin, before presenting the tag legend's neck for the Count to 'feed'*

THE CLAN LUGOSI win via pinfall (6:54)

Reviewers Thoughts:
That was a pretty damn respectable match there. Don't get me wrong, some of the wrestling wasn't that great, but the charisma in there more than made up for it!

GRADE: D

THE CLAN LUGOSI TO CHALLENGE FOR GOLD

After the match Erik grabbed a mic and joined the clan in the ring. He declared that this is just the beginning, and next week The Clan Lugosi will be going after the biggest prize in Golden Age Wrestling, the GAW World Heavyweight Title. In fact, Count Lugosi has the perfect candidate to destroy Kay Pasa or Revolver Binks!

A monster who has been hungry to escape his burial chamber in the Netherworld for the last 2000 years. Next week will see the cosmos align in just the right way to allow his trasportation through the Rite of Gfaleldai, straight from the Netherworld directly to the center of the GAW ring, just in time for next week's main event!

Reviewers Thoughts:
So it looks like a further addition to The Clan Lugosi is coming, sweet! Should be fun for Kay Pasa next week...

LUKAS MEUNECKER vs LIL' SWAG
(w/Jerry Malone)

*This was a pretty fast paced match*

*Quite a bit of Swap brawling, Meunecker taking control with his superior techique, rinse, repeat*

*But suddenly Swag took control with a well timed dropkick*

*Swag looked to have the match won and, with Meunecker down, Swag went to the top rope to deliver the Hip Hop Drop
(Top Rope Frontflip Legdrop)
...*

*... but the European moved at the last second!*

*From there Meunecker picked Swag up and delivered three German Supexes in a row, holding Lil' Swag on the final one to secure the pinfall victory*

LEROY WINTERS wins via pinfall (7:46)

BLAIR BRUNZELL © vs BUDDY HOLLAND

*A pretty even, if painfully slow match here*

*The pair of legends traded blows...*

*...until Brunzell took the advantage*

*After a pretty short amount of time Brunzell hit his patented Missile Dropkick to secure the pin*

BLAIR BRUNZELL wins via pinfall to retain the GAW ALL-AMERICAN TITLE (5:31)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Well, I think we may have found Buddy Holland's level there! The pace was right and an old-school pro like Brunzell knows how to get the best out of an old war-horse like Holland. That best wasn't amazing though...

'Dangerous' DANIEL DOUGLAS vs ALLIGATOR STU

*The bell rang to start the match and Douglas hopped straight out of the ring!*

*Looking a little confused, Stu poses for the crowd while the ref starts a 10 count*

*On 8 Douglas slip in and out of the ring, restarting the count*

*After doing this a second time the crowd began to get restless and started chanting 'We Want Wrestling'*

*Stu jumped out of the ring and chased Douglas, the heel finally sliding into the ring*

*As Alligator Stu slip back into the ring himself he received a boot to the face from Douglas*

*The out of shape veteran took advantage and controlled the match from pretty much that point on...*

*...but Stu finally managed to fight back, nailing Douglas with a running Back Elbow before quickly hitting the Gator Drop
(Falcons Arrow)
and covering Douglas for the pin*

ALLIGATOR STU wins via pinfall (5:57)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Not a bad match there by GAW standards, Douglas played the oppotunistic heel well and Stu got a win back after his loss last week.

THE ARCTIC ALLIANCE

(Nytro & Tundra)

vs

MACHINE USA

(Kenny Foreman & Gary Woods)

*The Alliance held the advatage for most of the match*

*However in the middle we had a very intense section where former MMA guys Tundra & Gary Woods looked to be legitimately shooting on each other...*

*...before Nytro was tagged back in and it returned to being a wrestling match*

*Not long after Nytro locked in his patented claw hold and Gary Woods was left with no choice but to tap out*

THE ARCTIC ALLIANCE win via submission (7:02)

Reviewers Thoughts:
A decent match considering the level of most involved and that bit with Woods & Tundra was pretty good actually, if you like that kind of thing, which it seems the GAW crowd do not. But then, it's no real shock, after all the pair have faced each other a couple of times in Japan's worked MMA promotion COBRA so it's no surprise they had some spots planned.

MARSHAL LAW vs TONI CHI

*Once again Tony Chi looked pretty good in this match*

*The match started with Law in control but Chi came back with a flurry of kicks and managed to take the advantage*

*But eventually Marshal Law's experience won the day when he telegraphed Chi's attempt at a Tornado DDT, instead, holding Chi he spun a second time and launched the youngster across the ring!*

*As Chi got up Law hit the ropes, delivered the Wrong Arm of the Law
(Clothesline from Hell)
and covered Chi for the win*

MARSHAL LAW wins via pinfall (6:33)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Tony Chi looked pretty good out there again this week. But star of the match was Law, after all,
he's
the one making Chi look good. Really good match there.

BEAT DOWN, SAVE & CHALLENGE

After the match Marshal Law actually clapped as Chi got to his feet. Chi looked confused. Law offered his hand to Chi. Chi looked around, unsure, then shook Law's hand. Law then leveled him with a Short-Arm Clothesline and proceeded to beat him down. Suddenly Jack America's music hit and he rushed to the ring, Law bailed to the outside. America asked for a mic, then told Law that he'd had enough of watching Law use dirty tricks, and he wants him in a match next week... he'll even let Law pick what kind of match it will be!

Reviewers Thoughts:
Nice set-up for a match next week

TAG TOURNAMENT MATCH: ROUND#1, MATCH#2

THE WOODCUTTERS

(Lumber Jack & Yukon Jacques)

vs

STREET SURVIVORS

(Duane Davies & Rick E. Waters)

*A surprisingly competitive match*

*Despite The Woodcutters' size advantage Southern hard-nuts Davies & Waters were actually in control for the majority of the match*

*The Survivors actually used The Woodcutters' size to
their
advantage...*

*...using a quick, hit-and-run strategy to try and slowly wear down the lumbering big men*

*It seemed to be working...*

*...until Yukon Jacques caught Waters in a Bear Hug*

*Davies broke it up but Lumber Jack also got in the ring and all four men began to brawl*

*However, while the ref concentrated on getting the first interferee Davies out of the ring The Woodcutters hit The Bandsaw
(Irish Whip/Running Clothesline Combo)
with Jacques covering Waters for the pinfall as the ref tuned back to the action*

*The pair hit the Bandsaw
(Irish Whip/Running Clothesline combo)
and it was all over*

THE WOODCUTTERS win via pinfall (6:23)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Not a bad match there. The Street Survivors are already pretty over with the crowd, who got right behind them, but The Woodcutters looked pretty damn good out there too

LEROY WINTERS vs THE AMERICAN STANDARD

*Winter came to the ring in his new hat but refused to take it off until black referee Parker Grossman delivered the Black Power salute*

*Grossman refused and Winters grabbed him by the shirt, but was spun around by American Standard and the pair began to brawl as the bell rang to start the match*

*American Standard took early control of the match but was soon outmanouvered by Winters who leveled Standard with a Flying Forearm Smash*

*From that point Winters dominated the match and eventually put Standard away with the Long Winters Rest
(Crippler Crossface)
, before fetching his hat from Ref Grossman, shoving the aging ref to the ground and giving the Black Power salute to the crowd to a chorus of booing*

LEROY WINTERS wins via submission (6:46)

Reviewers Thoughts:
An OK match, but Winters & American Standard's skill-sets don't exactly match up well. And it seems that booker Jack America has gone with the gimmick Winters introduced last week after all, lets hope it doesn't cause too much controversy. It is certainly getting a reaction from the crowd!

REVOLVER BINKS RAPS ON KAY PASA

The Eastside Wrecking Crew with their 'agent' Jerry Malone came out to the stage, Binks & Swag with mics in hand. Binks told Swag to 'drop a beat' and, as his tag partner beat-boxed Binks delivered a rap while the three men walked to the ring, running down his opponent Kay Pasa and Hawaii in general. However, when he got to the lines:

'Round here, this place is full o ice heads,

Ya b****es make their money on their backs, in their beds,

Which is crazy cos every one of um is ice sick,

They all wanna suck some bounty hunter with a mullet's d**k...'

...Kay Pasa's music hit, he stormed to the ring, leveled Binks and threw Lil' Swag over the top rope to the outside, Jerry Malone quickly bailed and the bell rang to begin the match.

Reviewers Thoughts:
Well that was certainly a way to get some cheap heel heat there and Binks has never been afraid of ruffling a few feathers! Kay Pasa actually looked like he was gonna kill someone for a minute there!

MATCH for the GAW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

'The Big Cahoona' KAY PASA © vs REVOLVER BINKS
(w/Lil' Swag & Jerry Malone)

*This was pretty one sided really...*

*...Kay Pasa obviously punishing Binks for his tirade on the Hawaiian people*

*However ref Parker Grossman was out of place for an Irish Whip and saw himself squashed into the corner*

*With the ref down Lil' Swag jumped into the ring and The Eastside Wrecking Crew proceeded to double-team the champion*

*However, as Lil' Swag went up top and hit the Hip Hop Drop on a downed Kay Pasa referee Parker Grossman came around and called for the bell.

KAY PASA wins via disqualification due to outside interference (6:51)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Well, that was worthy of Main Event status in my book! A shame that we seem to have a challenger already for the GAW World Heavyweight Title next week, because these guys put on a
really
good performance and I reckon they could have run this out for a few shows yet!

THE CREW GET OWNED

The Eastside Wrecking Crew continued to attack the champ after the match. However, Kay Pasa fought back and ended up clearing the ring to the delight of the crowd, before posing in the ring for the fans.

Reviewers Thoughts:
Good good, Kay Pasa still came out of things looking strong

JACK AMERICA ACCEPTS THE CHALLENGE

Tribal drums began to sound and Atonga, with Dr James Perle at his side, made his way to the ring. Perle grabbed a mic and declared that no man had been brave enough to face the vicious Atonga, so the crowd may as well just go home!

Then Jack America's music hit, the crowd went wild! The patriot came out on to the stage with a mic in his hand and told the world that Jack America feared no man as long as he's wrapped in the red, white and blue, before throwing down the mic and walking to the ring, all business.

Reviewers Thoughts:
Decent performance & reactions for all involved really, should be a good match!

ATONGA
(w/Dr James Perle)
vs JACK AMERICA

*An unsurprisingly one-sided affair...*

*...Atonga attacked with animalistic fury while Jack America threw everything in his varied arsenal at the Samoan warrior*

*Unfortunately the fury of Atonga proved too much for Jack America to handle...*

*...and when America went for a Top Rope Crossbody in a last ditch attempt at a pin Atonga caught him!*

*The wild Samoan spun around, released America's legs and delivered the Nofoali'i Neckbreaker
(High Impact Sidewinder)
before covering America for the pin*

ATONGA wins via pinfall (7:46)

Reviewers Thoughts:
Amazing match from these two main eventers! America got in enough offense to not look weak and Atonga, well, he looked devestating!

OVERALL THOUGHTS

An even better show than last week's very good event! Not a single stinker match this show, seems it pays to put the, errrrrr, more veteran, members of the roster in there with other guys who can carry them.

Rudy Single declared his intention to challenge for GAW gold, Ababwa & Hudson and The Woodcutters are going forward to the next round of the Tag Team Tournament, Atonga proved he is going to be a dominant force in GAW on his debut, Jack America will be facing off with Marshal Law and Kay Pasa will be facing off against some supernatural creature to be summoned by The Clan Lugosi for the GAW World Heavyweight Title! Should be another pretty good show next week then!

A tie at first right now but with two shows left still everything to play for :D

*********************

Also, apologies for this show taking a while to go up. I've got a new job that I have to work 48hrs a week to earn the same as my old 35hr a week job so the diary writing time I have has gone down quite a bit. But rest assured, this diary isn't going to die ;)

Also, now that they have both properly debuted I'd like to thank Tiberious4 for choosing the hirings of Lugosi & Christian Prophet as his prizes for winning the Tours 1 & 2 contests. I'd always told myself that I wouldn't use Prophet (after all everyone else does) and hadn't even considered Lugosi before, but it's all come together nicely I feel :D

Many thanks for your predictions and views folks, hope you enjoyed it!
