Shinsuke
Since I'm probably going to take on this challenge the moment the full game gets release I have been preparing a character that fits the rules and messed around with stats a little. Using the "narrative trick" I checked out how well my char would do in TEW13 starting out with RTG stats and I think the initial skills could be reduced a little... You have 750 Points to spend on other skills. (No skill may exceed 75 to begin with) Of these 750 I used to spend around 100 points on Intensity and Stiffness in TEW10, usually even more. With those stats gone the initial skillset looks alot more promising in '13. And 5 out of 5 time that I have on checked my char's potential via the narrative he turned out a world-class worker in every aspect. Even with 10 in Mic skills, ~20 Charisma and ~10 Acting he turned into an A* entertainer 4/5 times! (One time he peaked with B-/B Entertainment stats which is not that bad considering his initial skills...) Every time he developed at least one A* top row skill and an average of top row and performance skills of at least B+. Looks like skill improvement has been heavyly altered for TEW13. I like that a lot but it seems to make this Challenge a little bit too easy for my taste. Has anybody else tried to check their RTG-Char's potential yet? If so, did you get comparable results? Hadn't even noticed that intensity and stiffness had gone... you may have a point about it being significantly easier now. Maybe we should have 700 instead of 750 points as a start? Derek B
A lot of things may have changed, but it's still not going to be easy to get to the top end of your skills so that you can win the challenge. And given how few people won the TEW10 version of it, I'm hoping we get more winners this time. I had considered knocking the points down from 750 to 700, but it just seemed mean. If you want to add more difficulty for yourself then feel free to do so... either remove some points or add some years to your age so that you have less time to develop. Jack Avatar Fan
I decided to create a sports entertainment fed in Chicago, and in the first month, we struggled to a one hundred dollar profit. That's worth a celebratory trip to the liquor store and a party in The Guru's basement. Oh, and THEN I fired my announcer, realizing I didn't need him. My character has the IT factor and entertainment skills. I originally had him as color commentator because of his in-ring limitations, but the promo grades alone are golden in a local fed. So, I'll post some stats later on. I'm hoping that entertainment grades still skyrocket from doing color commentary like in 2010, so I can move him back over there when I have the money to spend on an announcer, because I fear his in-ring performance. Bad Collin
So I am very excited to have started this for real now. I have signed 8 low level workers to go along with my user character and the owner. For my main eventers I have signed Jonni Lowlife and Genocide Agent. Hopefully I will be able to add a third decent worker after a few games months. One of my owners goals is to reach £10,000 in 2 1/2 years time so I have to be somewhat careful with money. WrestleManiac
I was going to re-open Ring of Fire, but since 21CW own that name I thought I'd take British Samurai and have him open a similarly named alternative... Ring of Honour. Our product is the pre-set Traditional Puro Resu. One of the first things I did was set up The League of Pure Wrestling and managed to get 5SSW, CZCW, MAW, NYCW, and OLLIE to sign up. One of the agreements is that we share profits. I think this may come in extremely useful... especially since my roster is a litle larger than planned UPDATE: I've just recieved a decision concerning 21CW. I quote: "21CW have let it be known that they now have a hostile view of ROH. You can only accept." I feel that there is a line missing here: "Resistance is futile! 21CW are a bunch of bullies! No surprise that British Samurai hates Jeff Nova!
Bad Collin
Decent start for me, I made 1.1k and I put myself in the main event with Jonny Lowlife and got a 36 rating. I'm hoping to sim through a year tonight and get my first mystery box.

Bad Collin
Yeah, unlucky JAF. Time for sleep now and I only managed to book six shows. Progress is painfully show, my momentum is up to 6 and I have grown to 3 pop in South UK. I'm having fun though, I have Alton Vicious and Riddick Jordan getting over as No Remorse and Jonni Lowlife, Johnny Highspot and Genocide Agent are battling for my main belt until I get over enough to take it. My user character is going to win first 'Best of British' tournament in November and go on to battle for the title in the first anniversary season finale show. Maybe we will get more than 9 fans for that one

The only problem is that if I remember the rules you can only enter agreements if the other company initiates it, or if you get a good end of year roll. So you shouldn't have the league if you are playing the full RTG. Not that you'll necessarily be helped much. I've tried several versoins of RTG back with 2010 and always struggled more than I'd like. Especially when I got a mean owner who set contradictory goals (ie. grow by one date, but increase the bank account by more than $100K in a lmited time as well - both critical)
sanityisforbidden
Made it to mid May my first playthroough. Going to do a quasi-RTG to get a better hold of whats going on. No rules on repetive/small roster/perfect show theory. Again this is just gonna be to get an idea of what I can do. Running a custom fed with Honey Golightley as the owner. Managed to hire Sam Keith for Road Agent (at 2k a month). Cameron Vessey, Casey Valentine, Hugh De Aske, DWN, Mainstream Hernandez, Matthew Keith and Hollywood Brett Starr round off my wrestlers. Coach Norman is my ref. My user char is a RTG based char named Brian Chambers. Gonna see how I can do just to get an idea.

Payne
Well, just had my first show. Murderous Mikey won the MWF Title from Marc Raisin in the main event. The whole show was an F+ (which I'm okay with), but it cost me about $7500. Crap. Now I'm broke.
Derek B
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c33/DerekB83/rtg1_zps39b5f1d1.png Face: 50 Heel: 50 Cocky, Legit, Weasel and Wholesome: 75 So that's my user character, based on an old e-fed character I had. I've turned Variance on so his in-game stats might turn out a little over/under that but that's always gonna be a risk. My company, Border-Line Wrestling is based on North West USA just like my character, and is owned by Gareth Wayne aka The Gambler. My product is... KEY: Traditional HIGH: None MEDIUM: Mainstream, Modern LOW: Comedy, Risque, Realism, Hardcore, Pure VERY LOW: None NONE: Hyper Realism, Lucha Libre, Daredevil 80% match ratio. 40% match danger and intensity. This gives me a really nice, simple product rated equally on performance and popularity, that is quite favourable towards sponsorship with fans not liking subtlety or high risk gimmicks or matches. Simples! I've also changed the start date of Generated Workers to the start of the game and have set it to Low Levels of generation, because after putting so much time and effort to make the gens so awesome, I want to see some in action. I'll be regularly updating this at the end of each year, maye more often once I can afford to run shows more frequently or if I get job offers elsewhere. Should be a fun ride, my TEW10 RtG game was awesome fun and had me end up leading the SWF back towards #1 in the world and fighting NOTBPW and TCW in National battles each month (that I was regularly winning!) so it's going to be interesting to see how things go here. SeanMcG
Ok lets get back into this: Name: Marc Roberts Weightclass: Lightweight Style: Entertainer Nationality: American Base Stats http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/3716/marcrobertsstart.png Decided to go with an smaller, potential workhorse rather than an all out entertaining heavyweight this time. Company (Windy City Championship Wrestling) is based out of Great Lakes without an owner (I'll edit owner to PPA if/when one comes along), Pop = Performance, fans don't enjoy high risk anything and very favorable sponsors. 60/40 match ratio, although I may need to change that soon if I can't afford a decent mic worker... Caninrok
Finished my first month with the character and promotion I detailed earlier and things went fantastic. The card got a D- and had a D rated final: a 2v2v2 match to award the first ever "GRW Cup of Team Glory" titles to the night's tournament winners. The winners were the Modern Ninja Killers (White Angel and Joffy Laine) As an added bonus my favorite team idea of Ernest Youngman and Bradley Blaze have great chemistry together as Wild and Wicked. Best of all? I profited $1,211 on the month. Strangely my upper midcard heel team of Cip Conduit and Storm Spillane (Crazy Chaos) came out of the night with the best momentum by far despite losing their only match in the middle of the card to Wild and Wicked. And yes, I let the game name all of my teams.
