1983 War To Settle The Score Mod Hype Thread

Recommended Posts

The way the game world is setup WWF is ranked 4th behind NJPW,AJPW, and Mid-Atlantic. World Class had just started getting hot with the Freebirds vs Von Erichs feud at this time. That didn't start til December of 1982. So I am going to have set their momentum to reflect that feud. I also know World Class had a syndicated deal so I am going to reflect that as well. To better help them out.

As someone who got into wrestling because of World Class, I am so looking forward to this mod. :D Don't forget to add in KTVT 11 as a channel for World Class's Saturday night Championship Sports show. ;):p

Hell Yeah! IMO Championship Sports was a better program. Matches had more time to develop and Marc Lowrance had a better feel for the product than Bill Mercer. Loved the weekly TV Title match and the 2 of 3 falls TV Main Event.

Ditto, this was the only reason I woke up before 10 on Saturdays as a youngster, LOL.

Can't wait for release.

alvarasus,</p><p> </p><p>

Are you interested in pics I've cut for my old '08 DOTT game? I've attached an example of how they're all cut. Let me know if you are. I've tried to PM Genadi but not sure if it got through as it doesn't seem to want to let me send messages! All the pics are as close to the 1982-1988 time-frame as I could get them.</p><p> </p><p>

No probs if not - good luck on the mod!</p><p><a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2012_12/42927681_HulkHogan.jpg.26a55f1e98d869a708851f99f6986aab.jpg" data-fileid="2530" data-fileext="jpg" rel=""><img data-fileid="2530" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="42927681_HulkHogan.jpg.26a55f1e98d869a708851f99f6986aab.jpg" data-src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2012_12/42927681_HulkHogan.jpg.26a55f1e98d869a708851f99f6986aab.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></a></p>

MACW,GCW, CWF,CState, and PW are the only permanent meembers. WCCW, ASW, CMLL,AJPW,CWA,SECW, and MLW round out the alliance. The WWF was going to be in it but because their is no effect from what I can tell of a promotion leaving the NWA. So they will be at war with the NWA,AWA, and SWCW.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I would like to make a correction:</p><p> </p><p> Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling was owned by Jim Crockett and ended up being branded as Jim Crockett Productions before being sold to Ted Turner and becoming (God rest its soul) World Championship Wrestling. Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling was just the brand name. For example, MACW was Impact Wrestling, while JCP was TNA.</p>

Yes it was it's brand name but it wasn't like TNA. Everyone at this time called it Mid-Atlantic. Thats like calling the WWF the brand name of Titan Sports. It wasn't til late 1984 early 1985 they started going by Jim Crockett Promotions so they were not so regionalized. So what you guys are saying I should call Mid-Atlantic by Jim Crockett Promotions. WWF by Titan Sports. To be honest if you what to really correct me Georgia Championship Wrestling was actually going by the name World Championship Wrestling by this time.

Plus to be honest the NWA is creating whole lot of headaches in this game. When this get ready to release you change it from permanent. Jim Crockett Jr. was president for three terms he pretty much was the NWA by the end. Hence what cause WCCW leave the NWA. Crockett bought out almost every major territory by the time he sold to Ted Turner.</p>

But Jim Crockett didn't go on this Territory-Smash like Vince McMahon did. There was local territories he absorbed up and the people he had were coincidentially the most over workers in the NWA, and he simply gave them (lucrative) written contracts when he got his TV slot back. Just trying to help.</p>

Alright added some more wrestlers now their is 2,272. Working on fixing title histories it seems some got messed up when transferred over from TEW 2010. The alliance feature is pain in the ass going to try something different to see how it runs. Weird thing is I haven't once seen the WWF go after Hulk Hogan or Roddy Piper yet in any simulation I have ran. Randy Savage, Tommy Rich, and Tully Blanchard are the hottest wrestlers when the game starts.

What I mean is the A.I. goes after all three of them as soon as possible. Meaning Mid-Atlantic and WWF try to gain their services right off the bat. One thing that has seem to stop from TEW 2010 to TEW 2013 is promotions releasing workers right of the bat.

Question who was Jim Cornette managing in CWA in 1983?

Cornette debuted with CWA in 82. In early 83 he was managing the Cornette Dynasty for a little bit and by the end of the year he was managing the first incarnation of The Midnight Express.

Thank you. I just didn't know who the wrestlers were. Also added the First family as a stable for Jimmy Hart to manage. Also added Adrian Street to the Cornette Dynasty because on some youtube shoot he said the first person he really managed was Street. Besides the gimmick where he was managing a wrestler and they fire him after the first match together.
