<p>I'm excited about rebooting Deadly Overloaded Action; however, am running into a problem with the newest version of TEW. In previous versions, I think there wasn't a clear "popularity level needed" for a given network. With the Arcadia network, where DOA was originally linked up with in previous versions, the minimum popularity is a "C". This feels a little too high for comfort given that my most over workers are D+'s (and the product is leaning toward popularity over performance).</p><p> </p><p>

I thought about 'breaking away' for Arcadia; however, that feels weird to me (in a way). Plus, I don't want to sign with a really low network as I would have no room to 'grow' (as I'd have to stay with that network for the duration of the project). In turn though, a "C" may be hard to work with as my shows may not produce anything higher than that (or even get to that maybe). </p><p> </p><p>

I could, also, have the company be a stand-alone and have no TV affiliation. While this could work (as it would let me set my popularity as I want), this also feels rather weird as Deadly Overloaded Action (in its two previous installments) were about a wrestling company owned by an American TV network. In a way, it would be moving drastically away from the original story.</p><p> </p><p>

Hmm. Once again, just another thing that makes you have to decide what you want to do in the grand scheme of things: defy the original story of the company (possibly gutting its impact in the process) or try to play by the game popularity rules and possibly fail.</p><p> </p><p>

I thought about, as a counter-idea, using DaVE; as the two have some similarities. That said, my 30 year old self isn't as interested in hardcore wrestling as my early to mid 20's self. I used to LOVE to write these 'very dark' companies; however, have fallen away from that as I've grown up. I guess, in some sense, I'd be comfortable with hardcore at 'medium' but that would be against, once again, the default rules. Grrr...</p>

Why not just setup an Arcadia 2? A smaller network with lower requirements.

<p>Truthfully, I think the easiest thing to do (and I didn't think of this the first time around) is just to drop the 'minimum popularity' aspect of Arcadia. This way, I can drop it from a "C" to a "D+" and feel more comfortable with the position of the company.</p><p> </p><p>

I feel, especially with a new company, that you shouldn't have your popularity any higher than your 'top stars'. So, essentially, if your most over workers are at a "D+" then that's where you should cap the company as well. I'm sure, adding Vibert could produce a C- in popularity (excitement of his return to the US; adding some extra popularity) to the mix.</p>

Dunno if this is the place for this or if there'll even be any interest at all, but I had an idea for a dynasty wherein it's two players, in a way. One (me, in this instance) would play as the owner of the company, while the other would play as the booker/head writer. What this would mean, in my mind, is that I would play and book the game with your input, and you would do the writing. I'm leaning towards a modern day WWE mod for this, but open to other ideas. Post here or PM me with any questions or interest (though PMs will get my attention faster.)

This may be a stupid request, but I'll give it a go anyway. I have not been able to play TEW since 2008, due to a genetic eye condition that caused me to lose my vision. I can do most things on the computer using a screen reader program, however, the game is not compatible with my software. If someone using a real world mod would consider creating and releasing me into their game that would be great. You wouldn't have to sign or use my character, just let me loose into your world and let me know matches or news on the worker at the end of your dynasty posts. I prefer the classic mods and my ideal debut years are 86 or 87 since they are my favorite years in wrestling history, but I would take what I can get. I could give you my worker details. Again, I know this is weird, so I don't want anyone to feel obligated to do it if they don't really want to. This forum is full of creative people who like to experiment, so I thought I'd throw it out there. Thanks, Aaron Lane

It depends what you know and like. Speaking from personal experience, picking an era other people like where there aren't too many diaries is pretty meaningless if you aren't enjoying it.

I'm thinking of starting a game of my own using them and going for a schedule similar to a regular TV show (A 4 month season with weekly one and a half hour shows, maybe with a PPV at the end) but I'm currently in the planning stages mostly because we have little to no idea of how GFW will work.

That could be very interesting because you could build the promotion in your vision and build that entire roster from the ground up. With free agents like Chris Sabin, Elijah Burke and Christopher Daniels, you should hit Cult in no time.

WWE 2015: The Future Is Now

My new dynasty is going to start in January of 2015, updating Fleisch's July RW mod the most realistically I can see how. Some brief updates of what has happened since July of 2014 are as follows:

 

Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena at Summerslam and continued to feud with the former champion through TLC, retaining the title at every step of the way.

 

The Miz and Sheamus met at Night Of Champions to unify the Intercontinental and United States Championships. Miz won and continues to hold the Intercontinental Championship.

 

After several 'failures' to The Authority, Kane was attacked by "The Corporate Celt" Sheamus, who Brogue Kicked Kane's head into the steel ring post and has put him out of action ever since.

 

Dean Ambrose has continued to do everything he can to make Seth Rollins' life a living hell, stopping his success whenever he can.

 

Rey Mysterio decided that his injuries were mounting too much and had a quiet retirement.

 

Jerry Lawler has retired from Commentary effective at the end of 2014, to be replaced by Renee Young.

 

Roman Reigns has continued to be at odds with The Authority, even challenging Seth Rollins for the Money In The Bank Briefcase at one point, though he was stopped from winning by Sheamus.

 

The Tag Team Championships were won by Goldust and Stardust in a Triple Threat Ladder Match at TLC involving The Usos and RybAxel

 

The question is, should I make my first post the Royal Rumble itself, or start at the beginning of the year? I'm leaning towards the Rumble

Start from the first day of 2015. The Royal Rumble is one or maybe the most awaited PPV of the year, because of the match itself and also the weeks before the PPV are the real beginning of the road to Wrestlemania. You create more expectations starting from January 1st than revealing already your plans for the big PPV.

Season 6 saw Super Zero end the reign of F.E.A.R.'s hold on the ZEN Master Championship after he defeated Necromancer at the Way Of The Jester. While one member of ZEN's most fiendish alliance fell out of the title race, their leader stepped right in hopes to collect the ZEN Master Championship for a record fourth time. But that's easier said than done as X-Calibre is hot on the trail of Halloween Knight as he's determined to vanquish F.E.A.R. once and for all.

But he's not alone. Devilfish and Man O'War stand along side X-Calibre to remove the menacing stable. Three against four may not seem like promising numbers on paper, but the heroes of ZEN have no fear. Devilfish finds himself still bitter at Necromancer for taking the ZEN Master Championship from him back in Season 5 under some questionable circumstances and the two have been battling back and forth ever since. While on the other side of the ocean, the former three time ZEN Harmony Tag Team Champion Man O'War looks to take down the team of Cyanide and Massacre single-handedly while his partner focuses on the leader, but that doesn't bother the veteran avenger as he welcomes any and all challenges from F.E.A.R.

The ZEN Conceptual Championship is up for grabs as Pumpkin Jack looks to redeem himself after an upset loss to Pink Spider last season. The Fabulous Spider has interrupted Jack's usual Saturday night of disrupting Halloween Knight's activities, but the loss of the ZEN Conceptual Championship derailed that as the mysterious Pumpkin is set on revenge with a whole new bag of tricks up his sleeve.

Also known as The ZEN Dojo Bros., Killer B and SubUrban Legend's friendship started late in Season 6 when the duo upset the Goatee With Attitude crew for the ZEN Harmony Tag Team Championships, but they only had a short taste of success as C-W-A and John Gordon recaptured the gold a few months later. Now the question lies if the The ZEN Dojo Bros. victory was a fluke or if there is actually some real potential behind the two youngsters. Either way, John Gordon and C-W-A aren't going to make it easy for them.

Guru Vishni has had enough of Shaolin's antics; often appearing in the background of various serious interviews and promos held by the Guru. To counter this, the Guru has enlisted a new student in the Season 5 rookie, Damian Dastardly to remove the funk from Shaolin's life. Maybe that's a bit too brutal. Guru Vishni wants to be the man who killed disco...again.

I found myself checking out MichiganHero's older ZEN dynasty combined with playing a Small fed, so I'm fairly inspired. It's been awhile since I've written anything and now I think for once I've actually got an idea on how to write a dynasty so I hope (if I do start this) I can capture the ZEN style.

Yeah, the seasons was a must for me. I mean, technically ZEN would be in Season 8, but I already made the Season 7 graphic, so I'm just going with Season 1 starting in 2008

I don't know if anybody remembers me or not but i want to revive either of my two thunderverse dynasties.

INSPIRE or GWS.

 

Any preferences or ideas?? Do i revive straight away or advance to a year or any other thoughts that you can share??

That sounds interesting. I would suggest maybe holding off until the newest update launches so you've got the full shebang to work with.

This is a really rookie question that may have been answered before, but is there a way or program I can use to write out my Dynasties? doing them in the message box and always pressing preview is really putting me off writing them.

 

Plus then i could just swap in pictures etc faster
