I was actually wondering about it myself earlier when I was thinking about my 1991 mod. It's highly unlikely that WWF would reach Global status so early, right? So should we limit it to International, or even National?

 

Unfortunately, there's no way to remove the limit through narratives or something, so it would really be up to the players to do it through the editor, anyway.

What are people's thoughts on maximum promotion sizes?

 

I'm doing some tinkering with my 96 mod in TEW13 to see how viable an update would be and just exploring a few of the new options, and since this is something which applies to users as well as AI I wanted to know people's opinions.

 

I'm personally not touching that aspect at all - along with most of the other new editing options. It simply becomes too deterministic for my blood (and yes, this coming from one of the only people who actually sets potentials for each and every worker)...

I'm currently working on my Joshi Puroresu 2013 mod (Location beta done, yay) and was wondering. Do you Ace modders just stat out wrestlers by the seat of your pants or do you have a general range that certain stats fit into. Like Brawling 90-100 The Best (Foley). 80-90 World Class (Undertaker), etc?

 

I'm going through the excel sheet from TEW2010 C-Verse to get a feel for Adam's stat balance.

Do we have any idea when any of these mods will become available for download?

 

I have a week off from work starting tomorrow and I'm hoping to get some playing time in. The default database has never really interested me and I'm hoping for a mod sometime in the next couple of days...any chance?

Put a vote in for your 2002 mod Genadi as that was the mod that really got me into TEW

 

As far as size limits I'm in favor of them i know it was a bit irritating playing as ROH in 2002 and seeing companies like JAPW n ECWA almost overtake me in size. It's always something i can adjust thoug

Good to hear you are working on this, I loved your old joshi mod ... so long ago I cannot remember what game it was on :p

 

I find that a general range helps but try to keep the stats closer to the low side than the high side. Low A or B+ for workers who are the best in the world at their category, C range for people who are good but maybe not top of the world, everyone else a bit lower. Half of it is what I feel they deserve and half of it is what an equivalent worker in the C-verse would get stats wise if that makes sense.

Yeah, I wasn't sure whether it was something worth adding to some smaller promotions to make sure All Pro Wrestling doesn't somehow end up a national along the way or whether to leave it alone because making tiny indies into major players is a pretty large part of the fun. Might do some more testing and see if any promotions are a problem.

I was going back through the few workers I've previously done, and the first one was Flair. I don't remember the dates from his book, and I can't seem to find it online.

 

Honestly, relationship seems to be complete guesswork. I feel like leaving them set to No and just letting them hook up with whoever they want would be the best option. Either that, or, of course, just putting Yes.

Sadly, true. I'm done with Japanese locations (which involved going over wrestling results and then jp.wikipedia.org for additional info and filling in the blanks). Create all the promotions. Create and/or update over one hundred wrestler profiles plus all the non wrestlers. Again jp.wikipedia.org will be vital, as will the new 2013 Weekly Pro Wrestling Wrestler Almanac. Getting the stats right will involve a good 20 DVDs of shows, including at least two per promotion. And resist the temptation to inflate stats. Certain things like matches I just copy over from the default. Once that's all done starts to alpha testing. Simming a year at a time and noting if the booking looks right or seems off as well as if promotions keep going out of business. Tweak and repeat until I'm happy with the results. And this is just a joshi mod. The people doing the other real world mods are putting so much more work into it than I.

 

Though I can't complain much. Ten years ago I was doing the same thing off just a few web pages and lots of magazines. Now I can check someone's matches on youtube and almost all the wrestlers have their own jp.wiki pages which saves so much time.:)

Another question for you guys:

 

How are you handling minimum/maximum worker size? Are you setting them to -1 and +1, respectively? Or are you just going based on they're real weight and trying to gauge what seems possible; for example, if they're at the high end of Heavyweight, they might be able to get to Big Heavyweight, but probably won't ever reach Light Heavyweight.

Big Show for example is a giant, nothing is changing that. Same way I am typically setting a midget worker to stay as very small. if you are 3'8" I don't care how fat you get, you are still very small.</p><p> </p><p> Also, some guys who have made pretty major weight changes during their career I am accounting for that. Sami Callihan for example started off as 300ish pounds and is now under 200.</p>

Somebody please do a 2001 mod when WCW and ECW were on the verge of being gone. Someone did it for the last game and it was all I played haha, not buying tew 13 until this mod comes out so hopefully someone is doing it xD

 

That was Genadi, and I already asked about it lol. He said 2001 is in the future, most likely after TGA and MA are done. So all are well :)

I don't know if you're planning to release a new pic pack for workers with your mod or not, but if you're interested I may be able to offer to work on this for you - the style I like seems to fit your mods best. Anyways, if you're not interested no probs, I could always do them after the mod's out and see if anyone's interested.</p><p> </p><p>

I really appreciate the offer thanks mate. I'm not sure they'll fit though as most of my mods are 100% kyky bg which I know not everyone likes but is easiest for having everything consistent. I'll link them as an optional add on if it's cool as I'm sure alot of people will want to use them :)

Only real update I can give you at the moment is to tell you it's about 25% done. A very rough ETA would be release in around 2 weeks but that's a very rough ETA.
