fullMETAL Posted October 13, 2013 Share Posted October 13, 2013 Everybody's got something going for them to make their feud appeal to you/us: Alberto Del Rio to appeal to the smart-marks wrestling-wise, Rey Mysterio to call back to their WrestleMania 22 WHC Title match and feud, Ryback to hearken back to when Angle was feuding with Lesnar and Big Show (as a way to push Ryback as a guy who can go toe to toe with the legit Angle), Christian to nod back to Team RECK (Rhino/Edge/Christian/Kurt) back in 2000 and because Angle hasn't actually faced Christian in singles comp, Kane because he hasn't really had more than a couple matches against him and the promo battle would conceivably be a smark's wet dream, and Bray Wyatt because a first-time-ever past-future match is always an easy thing to build a passable angle out of. So, playing a current day mod and heading into the Royal Rumble, and I've got my mania card all planned out. Thing is, Kurt Angle's TNA contract and I managed to pick him up, but I'm not sure what to really do with him at mania. Punk and Bryan will be facing each other, so that's not an option. And Taker is gonna be facing Sting. Here's a list of all the available guys that could face Angle at mania: Alberto Del Rio Bray Wyatt Kane Christian Rey Mysterio Ryback Any ideas? I would find a nickname for him and put it in front of the nom de plume Leo Hunter. What I tend to do in these situations is just put a keyword in a Thesaurus and see what comes up:</p><p> </p><p> Budding Championship</p><p> Developmental Championship</p><p> Juvenile Championship</p><p> Amateur Championship</p><p> </p><p> Obviously, you could add "Lightweight", "Heavyweight" etcetera to them to make them a little more professional. Maybe he started getting investment advice from his producers and it paid off. Leading to him becoming a Million Dollar Man-like nueveau riche snob. So he alienates the rest of the roster for a while as a heel. Before a moralizer heel starts getting on him about how he made his fortune. Maybe a moralizer bankrolled by an old money heel. I always start by having a tournament for the World title then you can have the heels cheat and the faces run in that got screwed later... you will eventually get to where you have only 2 top guys going for the title so then you can have a feud there. The 2 runners up can fight over a #1 contenders.</p><p> </p><p> Start with simple storylines then after a while more storyline ideas will make sense.
