1PWfan
I'm currently running an MAW dynasty game- brought in a bunch of new guys to even up the rosters, looking forward to seeing how much money I can lose on the RCI.
Chris2K
In my second month with a show headlined by the obvious tag match from the previous show I ended up making a PROFIT~! of $779! The word happiness doesn't do justice to how I felt.

MaxxHexx
What does MAW's drug policy cost them each month when it is not turned off? I plan to slip them some extra funds via the editor to keep them solvent, and would like it to match their testing expenses.
Remianen
Well to be fair, he has had the game a lot longer than any of us so of course he knew it was like that. What are you trying to insinuate? Oh and if you would, could you edit the first post and advise folks to turn drug testing off (OR DIE!)? Judging from previous years, that's often the first issue people new to the game (or just to MAW) have.

Judging from previous years, that's often the first issue people new to the game (or just to MAW) have. Well more people will read it in your post. Seriously though, that is the first thing I always do with MAW. People Turn the Drug Testing off because if you do not your company will not last. Derek B
It's always been a single elimination tournament, there was a column about it a while back on http://www.greydogsoftware.com/cornellverse where it was talked about as being extended from 8 people to 16 people, including some pretty cool names like Nicky Champion and SUKI. BrokenCycle
I think I'm in September now, and I've been losing between $2,000 to 6,000 per month. Should I just wait it out until my shows become profitable, or do some cost cutting? These downsides are killing me. I can't even not use people on the shows because they just get paid anyway. Anderz
<p>What are people's views on bringing in a couple of veterans to help with in-ring training.. I've signed Wiley Steinway to feud with Brett Starr over the American title.. As well as Ford Gumble and Tank Bradley (tag experts) to team with a couple of youngsters - got Tank teaming with Miller Fforde atm and I've not decided who to team Fat Ford with yet.. But it's giving both Miller and the tag champs (Syd and Cameron - who I teamed together on TEW10 incidentally) lots of good experience..</p><p> </p><p> Basically my point was, is this the sort of thing most people do or do you tend to target the young guys with big upsides as your main signings?</p><p> </p><p> Also, general product question - if I wanted the crowd to accept anything other than a clean finish would I just need to up Mainstream a bit? It's been a while since I've tweaked products properly so need a refresher!</p>
Chris2K
Just got MAW to Regional Level on the back of a long title reign for Mean Jean Cattley and the bringing in of any talent I could get. The roster looks nothing like it did when I started, but needs must to move forward . EDIT: Still no TV deal available by the way.
BrokenCycle
I like sticking to the whole "building guys up" thing, so my roster is pretty much the same. I just got to Regional, and I've been doing D+ shows a lot. It's also stupidly easy to just spam guys like Donnie J, Mickie James, Steve Flash, and Matthew Keith via Alliance Loans. It's worth it when you just start out a save. You're going to just lose money anyway, so why not lose a little bit more to gain some popularity. Also hire Frantic Ali. He's so good. Anderz
what sort of show grades are people getting? Rip Chord Invitational - 42 Wrestling Classic - 52 Super Showdown - 49 Americana - 45 Old School Rules - 49 best match so far was the Wrestling Classic main event Vessey defeat O'Farraday and Cattley in a 3-way - 59 looking forward to the Sam Keith Classic; thinking I might run a 12 or 16-team tournament utilising a few Alliance Loans.. (if I'd thought about it more the RCI would've been more than an 8-man affair)
UkWrestleFan
I get fairly consistent scores and am currently turning a profit each month: Rip Chord Invitational - 57 Wrestling Classic - 54 Super Showdown - 55 Americana - 54 Old School Rules - 54 How soon do people start adding more shows? I'm thinking of going to 2 shows a month now I am comfortably making profit but unsure if it's too soon?

UkWrestleFan
Gotta say, I'm really loving MAW this year. It's a promotion I'd never really looked at before but it really is fantastic. Approaching the end of 2013, and so far my lowest rated show has been the Sam Keith Classic which got a D+. I didn't realize you could have too many alliance loans so I'd worn them out in the early months of the year. That meant I was short on teams for the Sam Keith Classic so had to throw some tandems together. I've also only just realized I didn't have have the Sam Keith Classic title on the line in the final which has bummed me out a bit but in terms of story, it can be explained. Because Matt Keith got injured, I'm playing it out that Sam Keith decided not to have the title on the line as Keith & O'Farraday could not defend. Instead, the winners of the 2013 Sam Keith Classic will face O'Farraday & Keith in the 2014 Classic. The winners of that will be crowned 'double winners' (not sure if I'll be able to edit this to show in-game) and will also receive a shot at the MAW Tag Team titles. Elsewhere this year, things are really starting to pick up pace. I've re-formed GenerationX, who will be MAW's main heel stable for years to come, I'm sure. Currently, it consists of next-gen stars: Cam Vessey Brett Starr Ash Campbell George Wolfe Greg Keith Lisa Bowen As you can see, there's no Casey Valentine, and that's because I accidentily let his contract run down and forgot to renew (same happened with The Architect, who I have massive plans for. Oh well) So, I brough Ash Campbell in to fill the gap, and I must say, he's doing great. It also opens up some great options to have Nemesis involved in the storyline (I added IPW to CoTT) He'll be teaming regularly with Brett Starr as Gen X's main team. George Wolfe is the muscle in the group while Keith is the wrestling machine, currently holding the MAW American title (he won it in a 3 Way against Ace Youngblood & Bret Starr) Having Greg Keith in the group allows me to Sam Keith involved too, just like with Ash/Nemesis. I'd imagine that, at some point, Sam Keith & Nemesis will tag against their sons but we'll see how it all unfolds. 2014, then, will be all about Generation X. I'll have Ash & Bret feuding with The Cali Dragons (who recently beat The Dynamite Express for the straps) and eventually winning, giving Generation X all the titles. Then, it'll be all about them keeping the titles, doing whatever it takes. Mean Jean will turn face, joining up with Findlay O'Farraday, Brandon Smith, Ernest Youngman & Matt Keith (once he's fully fit) It would allow some awesome matches, and each would get their shot at Casey's title but not manage to overcome him thanks to Generation X. This'll make it so epic when somebody finally does beat Vessey, and I hope for that man to be Aaron Andrews. He won't sign for me yet 'cos I'm still at Small, but hopefully once I get to Regional I can snag him and it'll be just in time for Vessey to drop the belt. What would be totally incredible would be if I could somehow get Jay Chord back in for a few months. That would open everything up and I could do so much. If he did become available, I doubt I'd be able to resist the temptation of using the editor to make Rip active in the game world again. Erm, yeah, so I'm pretty much in love with MAW at this point in time and now I'll stop typing.

Start a 'working agreement' with TCW and then offer them the best possible deal you can (even include some bonus cash if you have to). He'll have creative control but you could get him for up to five appearances. He won't come very cheap either but you can get him and use him.
