The Story So Far.....

North America

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/USA.pnghttp://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/Canada.png

With the territory system a distant memory the pro wrestling scene in North America is just emerging from it's latest war for dominance. Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Federation is once again the only Global promotion left when the dust has settled after winning the Monday Night Wars against rival WCW and sending the promotion to Cult size in the process. The subsequent dream Invasion angle that many a wrestling fan has salivated over for decades looks to be a distant hope once again as Eric Bischoff looks to breathe life into WCW and heat up the WWF vs WCW rivalry once again.

Meanwhile various indy promotions with different and ranging styles are springing up around the place riding on the success of the industry.

Japan

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/japan.png

Rocked by the death of Giant Baba in 1999, the Japanese wrestling scene is still feeling the effects of one of it's true legends passing. The founder of All Japan Pro Wrestling Giant Baba left the ownership of the company to his widow Motoko Baba and had Mitsuharu Misawa appointed as president. However, disheartened with Motoko Baba's proposed direction for the company, Misawa would depart the promotion in May of 2000 to form a new promotion called Pro Wrestling Noah. With Misawa followed all but two native stars (Masanobu Fuchi and Toshiaki Kawada being the only hold-outs), and is considered to be one of the biggest exoduses of talent in the sport's history.

New Japan Pro Wrestling continues it's reign as the number one company in Japan. While Antonio Inoki's booking the past few years seems to be slipping the NJPW name is still considered the most prestigious in the country. The recent influx of MMA crossover stars has spiked ratings for New Japan but many experts have expressed their concern it could do irreparable harm to the product, especially the fact that more and more NJPW stars are trying their hand in an MMA ring.

Mexico

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/Mexico.png

The 90's witnessed Mexico robbed of it's greatest lucha's to the lure of North American money. As WCW and WWF signed hot prospect after prospect, Mexico's two biggest mainstay promotion's CMLL and AAA watched as their rosters were stripped almost bare. Now in the early 2000's both company's have put their future in the hands of young workers and have seen an immediate impact. Large crowds have started to return to events and new stars are being born again. Having learned the lessons of the past Mexican Luch Libre is looking to return to the forefront of professional wrestling.

Australia

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/Austrailia.png

It's glory years long gone Australian wrestling returned with a massive bang in the late 90's. Coinciding with the introduction of cable TV in the country the Monday Night Wars drew Aussie wrestling fans back to the sport in droves.

Notes And Things

* Huge Gimmick file overhaul... no Gimmicks with 0% subtelty and all tweaked to fit C-Verse stats exactly.

* Dojos Graduates have had a huge amount of work put into them with the number now totalling 530, this is useful for future workers debuting in certain promotions.

* MCW was one of the WWF's development territories at the time but to make things sim better in the long run HWA has replaced them 6 months earlier then in reality. Any workers on development deals working in MCW at the time have been signed to HWA on the same type of contracts.

* A relationship between Vince McMahon and Sting has been added to prevent Sting signing with the WWF. Vince is only booker not owner of the company though so if you play as head booker you can hire him without any issues.

* Please report any typos, errors, odd things etc for future update fixes.

Enjoy :)

Awesome, just about to start a game now. You've certainly got through a few mods quickly Genadi, it's impressive. Out of interest (I haven't checked yet so it may have been done), do you intend to update angles to include storyline changes?

Future updates I will import C-Verse angles as they've changed so much. I forgot to do that for the latest mods but it's easy to do via editor and would take a player less than a minute to make the changes.

I like the mod. Not a huge deal but it looks like too many PPV carriers have their risk levels set to Low.

I'll review for next update but please when giving feedback like this give specifics if possible. It will save me alot of time when updating.

Thanks mate :)

A few things I noticed about wcw when playing:

ddp is a heel but should be a face as the last thing in wcw he feuded with scott steiner and taken out by him.

gregory helms should be "sugar" shane helms with that awesome entrance he had in wcw.

palumbo and o'haire should be faces. They turned since they feuded with lance storm and mike awesome and totally buff (which they beat in a minute on one of the last wcw ppvs)

I don't think lex lugar turned as they should be heel with buff bagwell

mike awesome and lance storm should be a tag team

I tried to turn eric bischoff face but it said he turned recently. I don't know if that's a random but he was on 1 or 2 shows announcing the end of wcw via telephone

Thanks again for this, can't wait to see how im going to get wcw out of this

Wcw hinted a face turn for either Luger or buff after their loss to palumbo and o'haire, but it never happened due to wwf buying wcw. Other than that, the rest of your post is accurate.

I think I'm doing something wrong- when I download it I get a .mdb file that I can't figure out what to do with. Can someone help me?

Make sure you're in Admin.

Go to the editor.

Click "Create Database" and name the database whatever you want.

Close TEW.

Copy or Cut the TEW13.mdb file from the database you downloaded and go to My Computer(Local Disk)-> Program Files -> GDS-> TEW13-> Databases and then open the folder that has the name of what you named the new database. Paste the TEW13.mdb file into this folder.

TEW HAS to be closed before you paste it though.

@Genadi: Have you made a January 2001 mod yet?

I haven't and don't think I will for TEW '13 mate. Montreal Aftermath is next and after that I have another massive project on my mind. I have a feeling someone else may use this data as a base for Jan '01 though as it will be very easy to do.

any plans to add ECW into this mod?

I wanted to play in a world where ECW and WCW never closed but TNA and ROH would still happen. I already imported TNA from the other version of this mod but I dont know how to get or setup ECW (New to TEW)

Easy way to set them up is import them from TGA as a company then simply give their last roster contracts. I won't have time to make any alt mods from this for quite some time if ever. Let me know if you need any help setting that up it shouldn't be hard.

Genadi what about 2002

Won't be doing the 2002 mod anytime mate I'm sorry. Can only make one at a time and I'm modding my butt off to deliver what I have so far. After MA is done I'm really interested in trying another massive project but don't wanna make an announcement on it until I'm sure.
