Well as I posted yesterday, I wanted to share two participants of the forum to be the coaches of TUF.

And two have already applied and they will be the coaches this season.

Astyn will coach the red corner and taylor22 will coach the blue corner.

In February I will announce the division, fighters and the coaches of the season.

In early March start disputes and TUF Finale will be held in late April.

The coach who has the champion fighter has the preference to continue in the next season.

Alvarez looks for an elbow strike, but Cavalcante out-wrestles him and switches them around so that he is in the dominant position. The referee calls for a pause, he wants to check the cut on Cavalcante. The doctor checks the wound, and doesn't take long to signal to the referee that it is only minor. The fight recommences! Alvarez feints stepping in. Cavalcante throws out a quick left jab. It seems that Alvarez is happy to let Cavalcante circle for the moment. Cavalcante shoots in for a takedown. Cavalcante tries to loosen the guard, possibly thinking about a leglock. Alvarez can't maintain his guard and that allows Cavalcante to grab a kneebar, but the round ends before it can be fully sunk in! Round two ends as time expires. Gesias Cavalcante looks very, very tired. In side control, Cavalcante throws a couple of punches designed to keep Alvarez guessing. The time expires on round three, and that is the end of the fight. Co-Main Event

Welterweight Bout: Erick Silva vs. Patrick Cote

Round 1

And here we go! Cote feints left, then right. Cote feints left, then right. A leg kick misses badly, giving Cote an opening to score with a left jab to the cheek. Silva steps back to avoid a tight combination of punches after falling for a clever feint. Both fighters throw strikes at the same time, both miss. Silva slips out of the way of a leg kick, having been suckered in with a feint. Both fighters advance and strike, but neither hits anything. Silva avoids a jab and scores with a right body kick. Cote circles around Silva. Silva steps in to put some pressure on. Silva looks to move in and stand in the pocket. Silva is now standing in the pocket. Standing in the pocket, Silva chooses to shoot in for a double leg on Cote. Silva can't complete the takedown, and has to settle for pushing Cote up against the cage. Silva pins Cote up against the cage and works him over with small punches to the body for roughly thirty seconds. The time runs out on round one. There was very little to separate them in that round, but I'll give that one 10-9 to Cote.

Round 2

There's the bell for the start of the round! Between rounds we could hear the corner of Silva telling him to watch for strikes but to look for takedown opportunities. A feinted high kick gets a reaction, and Silva is lucky to avoid the follow-up inside leg kick. Both fighters throw strikes at the same time, both miss. Cote circles away, creating some distance between them. Silva slips out of the way of a jab. Cote uses a feint to get Silva off balance, but the nice sequence of punches that follow don't find their mark. Silva uses a smart combination to get Cote to cover up, then shoots in looking for a takedown. Cote tries to time a counter right hand, but can't get it. Cote cannot stop the takedown, Silva drove in with too much pace and power. Cote ends up sitting, his legs trapped under Silva, with his back pressed against the cage. Silva looks to get a more dominant position by pushing Cote from a seated position onto his back. Silva shifts his position to gain side control. Silva tries to lock Cote in an armbar. Silva gets an armbar fully applied! No! Cote manages to get his arm free. Clearly the hold couldn't have been as tight as it looked. Silva blocks Cote as he tries a transition to guard. Silva fires off a handful of punches, each easily being blocked with gloves. Cote works some separation, then tries to quickly scramble his way into a better position. As Cote goes to scramble he leaves a leg in, and Silva quickly tries to grab it. Pulling his leg free to safety, Cote gets on top in side control. Cote stands up and backs off, letting Silva stand up as well. Round two is brought to an end as time runs out. I'd say that was definitely 10-9 in favour of Silva.

Round 3

There's the bell for the start of the round! Cote darts in and out of range quickly, trying to get Silva to commit to throwing a strike. Silva keeps his cool as Cote throws a feint to the left. Cote tries for a left jab but Silva moves out of range. Silva drops his shoulder and feints to step in, but Cote isn't buying it. Silva throws a combination of rights and lefts, using them as cover so that he can shoot in. The takedown is unsuccessful, Cote blocked Silva. Cote throws a barrage of big right hands after using a feint to trick Silva into committing to a strike, but he moves out of range just in time. Silva throws a speculative right, but it is nowhere near hitting. Not letting Silva settle at all, Cote comes in closer. Cote is looking to get in close and strike from the pocket. Standing his ground, Silva looks happy to engage Cote in the pocket. Silva uses head movement to cause a left jab to sail harmlessly by. Cote backs away to create some more space. Cote is looking to get in close and strike from the pocket. Cote moves into the pocket. Silva dodges a jab, and fires back with a series of quick, sharp punches. There's a stalemate as both fighters throw strikes but neither hits. Cote checks a leg kick and comes right back with a crisp left. Cote throws a left jab but Silva uses good head movement to make sure it slips by. The fight comes to an end as the time limit expires. There was very little to separate them in that round, but I'll give that one 10-9 to Silva.

The judges have given their scores, which are about to be announced. All three judges have given 29-28.

Making Erick 'Indio' Silva the winner by unanimous decision!

Main Event

Welterweight Championship Bout: Martin Kampmann vs. Demian Maia

Round 1

Round one begins! Maia steps back to avoid a tight combination of punches after falling for a clever feint. Kampmann moves in quickly after a wayward punch and hits a kick to the inside of the right thigh. Maia gets suckered in by a feint, and is lucky to avoid the combination that follows. Kampmann looks to be trying to close the distance between them. Maia finds himself pulled into a Muay Thai clinch. Using the Muay Thai clinch, Kampmann blasts Maia with a big knee to the body! Maia is rocked! Kampmann tries a knee strike, but Maia blocks it and wrestles his way out of the Muay Thai clinch. Maia slams a crisp left into the gloves of Kampmann, but can't follow up. Not letting up, Kampmann steps in closer to pressure Maia into action. Countering a wild off-target spinning back fist, Maia hits a jab. Maia throws a couple of jabs, then chooses to shoot in on Kampmann. Kampmann sees the takedown coming and tries to move. Kampmann avoids the takedown attempt. Maia misses with an attempted left hook to the body. Not letting Maia settle at all, Kampmann comes in closer. Maia avoids a spinning back fist attempt. The time runs out on round one. That has to go down as a 10-9 round to Kampmann.

Round 2

Round two begins! Kampmann avoids a flurry of rights and lefts and hits a brutal right head kick, Maia goes down on his ass! Kampmann doesn't have time to capitalise though, as Maia recovers his wits quickly. Maia wraps Kampmann up in half guard after he dived in with an attempted huge right hand. Maia keeps Kampmann, who looked to be trying to stand up, in half guard. Maia uses an underhook to work some separation, then quickly scrambles. As they scramble, Maia sees an opportunity and dives for a leg. Unable to secure the leg, Maia winds up on his back pulling half guard. Maia keeps Kampmann, who looked to be trying to stand up, in half guard. Maia reaches over and tries to lock Kampmann in a guillotine. Maia gets the guillotine but despite his best efforts he cannot force the tap out! It looks like Kampmann must have been able to stop the choke from being fully sunk in. The hold is released, Maia realised that he was gassing his arms on an attempt that wasn't going to finish the fight. Kampmann keeps Maia guessing with a few quick strikes. Maia tries to ensnare Kampmann in a triangle. Kampmann gets caught by the triangle, and it's deep...there's no alternative but to tap out!

Demian Maia takes the win by submission!

The scramble ends with both fighters standing, facing each other. Round one is brought to an end as time runs out. An extremely close round, could have gone either way, but personally I'll give it to Story 10-9.

Story eventually lets go, but may have gassed his arms by trying to squeeze out the submission. Kim stands up out of guard and backs off, wanting the fight to continue standing. Story steps back to avoid a one-two combination. Kim looks to move in and stand in the pocket. Story seems happy to engage with Kim in the pocket. The fight comes to an end as the time limit expires. Somehow Hunt got his arm free. That was incredibly close to a finish though. Time expires and we come to the end of round one. That was a quality round and the fans are really getting into this.
