Post Show Thoughts

1) Cameron Cody didn't want to lose to anyone in the Cibernetico. I don't really have a problem with this because it was either him or DISCO that was going to win but it's annoying seeing the message pop up. I don't like giving out bonuses to make people happy.

2) Paul Crowley and Shoota Brigade are essentially my version of Prince Devitt and Bullet Club. Devitt is one of my favourite workers right now and I think the whole Bullet Club scenario is fantastic. However in game Paul Crowley was by himself, I added Shoota Brigade to give Crowley an edge against Her Majesty's Royal Service.

3) Surprised no one picked El Lagarto to be the mystery man what with the whole animal hybrid storyline I have going. :p It's no secret I love CHIKARA (It's not dead to me damnit!) and when I saw El Lagarto pop up as being able to work in the US I marked out and signed him to a contract, not realising he was on tour with DIASPORA until this month. ¬_¬

4) The workers mentioned in the intermission (Dark Wolf II, El Vikingo, El Hot Dog) are all workers I could get via Alliance Loan. I'll write up a more in-depth piece concerning the Wrestling is Fun! Alliance but for now, the members are Gureisu Pro, POW, Wrestlesaurus X, LLE (led by Rafael Montejo) and SPLASH! (led by Bairei Imaizumi). The Dr. (Rafael) Montejo mentioned is a nod to this, I have no plans to introduce him on screen. He exists purely for El Lagarto.

5) I'm back. Whilst this seems like a stupid statement to write, I've been suffering from major writer's block since my uncle unexpectedly passed away a couple of weeks ago. I smashed the block last night and now I feel like I can write for Scotland. So, reports of Gureisu's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Question for Paul Crowley: How does it feel as a gajin being trusted with the top title in a relatively new Japanese promotion?

Question for Titan: Do you fear the day when a woman made of liquid metal kicks your ass?

http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/MercsIncChatterbox.jpg

Question for Joey Sleaze: Why do you suck so much d***? (Hey, no-one ever said it had to be a nice question? I can be a hater ;) )

I told you that Joey Sleaze wouldn't play nice! :p

Pre-Show to Strangeways, Here We Come! Quick Picks

Anwar Saad vs Puzzle

Adam Manchester vs Trent Victor

Rocky Mountain Athletic Club vs Devon Homicide & P.L.A.Y.A.

Chloe Bourel vs Mai-Lo Kato

OOC: This was booked as the pre-show but I felt since it is the season finale that an "afternoon" pre-show before the "evening" event would be a likely move (Similar to how Chikara has the Freeview-A-Go-Go before an iPPV). So the actual write-up won't be long but it gives workers not on the main card a chance to shine.

This isn´t dead, went on holiday and was told by a "reliable" source that there would be wi-fi. There isn´t, well there is but I can´t use it to post shows and stuff. I´m back to my motherland on Monday to post all the stuff.

The source was my little brother. He is useless.

I have to say, this is one of my favourite "sorry the show's not posted" updates on GDS for a long time. :D

Aye, I should have known the whole thing would turn into a mess. :p I posted that message whilst on an internet cafe machine that didn't allow USB sticks which ruled out posting the show. THEN I found out on the last day I could have bought a day's wi-fi code from reception. ¬_¬

Gureisu Pro Prelude to Strangeways, Here We Come!

LIVE on Uview.net via a seemingly improbable and unheard of last minute deal to showcase this live on the wrestling section of the sight.

Anwar Saad w/ Hassan Al-Sharani vs Puzzle

  • Puzzle looked determined to avenge the beatdown Anwar gave his mentor/partner Riddle last month at Cibernetico Zero, not even letting Anwar get inside the ring during his entrance as he majestically dove over the top rope and wiped out both Anwar and his manager.
  • Anwar soon recovered though and used his new found intensity to tear Puzzle apart, not letting the masked men catch a breath as Anwar threw him through the air with suplexes and clotheslines aplenty.
  • Puzzle's body eventually had enough punishment and he soon tapped to the deadly Cairo Clutch, Anwar looking somewhat satisfied that his new direction was yielding results.

Devon Homicide & P.L.A.Y.A vs Rocky Mountain Athletic Club

  • Tony Pearce & Devon Homicide were at each other's throats before the bell rang, Pearce upset over Homicide's conduct last month. Homicide laughed him off and told his new ally P.L.A.Y.A to start the match.
  • Pearce proceeded to school “Seattle's Finest Gangsta'” in several ways, at one point continually rolling him around in a cradle until everyone got dizzy and fell down. Homicide made a stop to this though, booting Pearce square in the side of his head.
  • The White Mask attempted to get involved here but seeing as Pearce hadn't rolled out of the ring, he was helpless. In a rare lapse of judgement, Referee Miles Grissom was focused on trying to keep The White Mask out of the ring and so missed Homicide and P.L.A.Y.A double teaming poor Tony Pearce.
  • Having had his fun, Homicide rolled Pearce out of the ring, allowing The White Mask to come into the ring to try and reverse his team's fortunes.
  • His comeback was short lived as P.L.A.Y.A distracted Miles by asking about a referee by-law that states a no dq match can be won via count out (It doesn't make sense to us either!). Homicide used this opportunity to wrap a previously unseen steel chain around his fist and clobber The White Mask in the head with it before delivering the 187 piledriver for good measure.

Devon Homicide & P.L.A.Y.A won via illegal chain shot/187 piledriver to The White Mask.

Adam Manchester vs Trent Victor

  • Trent Victor was largely unknown to the Gureisu faithful before this match but the quiet silence at his entrance soon turned to jeers as he made his way out and shook hands with Homicide & P.L.A.Y.A as they were leaving the ring. Manchester rushed out at this point, eager to defend his friends' honour.
  • Manchester and Victor spent the first couple of minutes in a feeling out process, Manchester unsure as to how to deal with the newcomer effectively. He eventually tried to go for a shoot takedown but Victor had it scouted, landing on top of him and taking control of the match.
  • Victor was impressive in the match showing off a range of skills that made him one of the most in-demand talent on the indy scene.
  • Manchester's experience won out though as he managed to flip Victor over as he attempted the To The Victor Go The Spoils (Crucifix Powerbomb). Within 5 seconds, Manchester had New England's Finest Submission Manoeuvre locked on for the victory.

Trent Victor wasn't done however as he looked at Manchester with evil intent before beckoning to the back for Homicide and P.L.A.Y.A to return to the ring. The next few minutes were uncomfortable as the three street thugs took out both Manchester and Referee Miles Grissom in a brutal gangland style beatdown.

http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/TonyPearce.jpghttp://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/TheWhiteMask.jpg

Tony Pearce and The White Mask soon ran out to stop the assault however, both men armed with steel chairs. Victor, Homicide & P.L.A.Y.A decided that a 3 on 3 fight wasn't the best option and backed away, warning that this wasn't the end between both groups.

The scene shifted from the ring to backstage where another newcomer to Gureisu Pro, Mai-Lo Kato , stood.

http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/Mai-LiKato.jpg

MLK: “Tonight's the night for Gregg Easter's little girl to show what she is made of. And I couldn't of asked for a better opponent in Chloe Bourel, who hasn't seen much fair competition here in Gureisu. Last time she was in the ring with another female, she ended up through a table. Not exactly the best record Chloe. You see Chloe, I know I'm better than you. I've got pedigree from both my mom and my dad. I've got the Golden Four praising me. What can you say about you? But don't count this as overconfidence from me, I know I'm just that damn good.”

Mai-Lo walked off after this, a hint of arrogance seen in her swagger as she made her way to the ring.

http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/ChloeBourel.jpghttp://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/vstvfem.jpghttp://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/Mai-LiKato.jpg

Chloe Bourel vs Mai-Lo Kato

  • Mai-Lo's words seemed to fire up Chloe as she got right up in Mai-Lo's face about the “I'm better than you” line. Mai-Lo didn't seem too bothered by this, lightly slapping Chloe across the face.
  • Wrong move.
  • Chloe went nuclear at this and started hitting Mai-Lo with forearms and elbows to the face, an act that almost seen her be disqualified by Referee Joe Preston as she came within .1 of a second of the five count he administered to her to allow Mai-Lo to stand.
  • Mai-Lo fought back as soon as she got to a vertical base and soon the war of the women looked uglier than a Devon Homicide match. Mai-Lo almost got the shock win with her dad's old finishing move – The Easter Special (Perfect-Plex) – but Bourel kicked out at the last second.
  • Bourel got the win after Mai-Lo took too much time to capitalize on Bourel being down from The Easter Special. As Mai-Lo walked over to grab Bourel's hair, Bourel grapevined her legs and brought her down to the ground before locking in the Canadian Cloverleaf for the submission victory.
  • After Bourel had her hand raised, she went over and shook Mai-Lo's hand before stating that although she won this one, she has a feeling this won't be the last time the two of them stand across from each other in a Gureisu Pro ring.

Chloe Bourel won via Canadian Cloverleaf

Before I post the show I want to confess to cocking up on the predictions. I only noticed it when writing the show.

Leroy Winters vs Joey Sleaze is a no DQ match.

The Dream Pair championship match is a two out of three falls match.

Show will be up within the hour and this time, I mean it! :D

The lights come back on and a shocking scene is set. Cameron Cody is hung upside down by the hook the Gureisu Pro championship belt was attached to, bloody and beaten. As he is being raised up, a new face to Gureisu Pro is seen entering the ring and standing directly under Cameron, almost as if he is bathing in his blood.

http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/N8Omega.jpg

“My name is Exodus Cade. Some still call me by my professional wrestling slave name, that of N8 Omega. And what you see before you is not a lie or a deception. The great Cameron Cody is now helpless. All thanks to me. To The Solution.

People like Cameron Cody are a sickness in professional wrestling. Let me tell you a story about your hero. Cameron begged and pleaded to his Beverly Hills parents to get him into the best wrestling schools. Just as luck would have it, he got into the AWF Wrestling School. And what happened? He flaked out and quit. It's not the end however because lucky Cameron got into a private school where he was trained by Drake Richards and Sebastian Curtis. How did that work out for you Cameron?

For 8 years I have bled for this sport. For 8 years I have worked my ass off to see unworthy people get pushed ahead of me because they have money, because they can politic better than I can. For 8 years I have watched people like Cameron Cody push past me and take what is rightfully mine. Tonight marks the death of all of this.”

Two more men join Exodus. One of them is unknown whereas the other is a face known to some in the audience.

http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/ValhellaTS.jpg http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/PsychoTICTS.jpg

DISCO Fox makes the mistake of trying to run. The two newcomers are on him like a flash, destroying him and leaving him crumpled up against the guard rail.

Exodus flashes a sick smile at this and resumes speaking.

“These two men are much like me. Disillusioned and sick of professional wrestling. PsychoTIC worked for you people for 17 years and still you do not accept him as one of your own. If it wasn't for people like PsychoTIC there would be no Gureisu Pro, no Cameron Cody. He was in the great sinking ship that was WWWE where big ol' Terry T and his band of vile men held him down. Once that ship finally went down, guess what happened. You people threw him aside like yesterday's news. He had to win a reality show to get a contract with a promotion full of the people who held him down and even then that ended up oh so great. Valhella was looked over for years until Les in Seattle decided to take a chance on him. And now the same Les tries to hold him down because he is scared of him.

Professional wrestling needs a cure from these people. Accept me as your leader, accept that The Solution is the only way this “sport” can be fixed. For professional wrestling to heal and get better, I need to be the shining light and the one who tears down the walls.

I've already started. Gureisu Pro is the first victim in The Solution's crusade. Don't stand against us. We already have one of your own who tried to oppose us.”

Three masked men scramble to ringside with a fourth being dragged behind them by chain.

http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/ChortTS.jpg http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/KamaitchiTS.jpg http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/VolokTS.jpg http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/CadesChildTS.jpg

Exodus waves them into the ring, touching the first three men on the hand and thanking them before

forcing the fourth to kneel in front of him.

“We took the Black Beetle. Chort, Kamaitchi and Volok were the ones who stole him from you fickle people last month. We did it to save him from you people. We made him better. We told him the truth. What you see before you is the saviours of this sport. We won't be stopped. We will take over this promotion and turn it into the beacon of hope that this industry truly needs.

The Solution, my children, is here to save you all.”

http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o765/Wrestlesaurus_X/Gureisu%20Pro/N8Omega_alt.jpg

By the end of this Exodus is covered in Cameron's blood and he takes a second to wipe some of it off of his face before leaving the ring, taking The Solution with him as he goes.

The last shot of the night is of Cameron lying on the mat, the Gureisu Pro championship to one side as Leroy Winters frantically calls for the medical team to come out.

I gave everyone who predicted on the main show a point for Seal/Stranger because 1) I felt bad about making people wait for the show as long and I thought and extra point would be an excellent "Thank you for waiting" present and 2) See note 1.

As always, send abuse my way if your scores are wrong. :p

Post Show Notes For The Show That Took A Month To Post

1) I love writing for both science based stables.

2) Seal/Stranger was kind of an afterthought to me.

3) Annoyed at the rating for Winters/Sleaze, I was hoping to hit the 40s with that.

4) Storylines. New storylines everywhere.

5) Pre show went superb! :D

6) I'm back for good and with now one dynasty to focus on, Gureisu Pro Season 2 will start veeeeeeeeeery soon. (Try next couple of days.)

  • 2 weeks later...

So I've let this sit on my mind for about a week and a half now. I've tried to get back into writing shows, links between season one and season two and other bits and pieces and I just can't do it. Nothing seems to be coming out that makes me want to post and combined with a growing lack of enthusiasm about Gureisu Pro and dynasty writing in general, I feel like it's only right to call time on G-PRO, for now anyways.

I'm not going to lie, it was disheartening to see zero comments after the last show I posted. Even though I've taken liberties with show deadlines and the posting of shows has become erratic, I'd have welcomed a "Good show" or something like that. Instead it is as if no one is reading. I'm thankful for the people who do post predictions and welcomed me back after I took some time away due to personal stuff. If I do catch the bug again, I'll definitely be back to Gureisu (To this day it is the only save I have numerous backup copies of. :p)

And while I do realise that this might have been unnecessary, I felt like I needed to type this out for me as well as let the few people that read this know what was happening. :)
