WCW Television - December Week 2, 1994

Writer's Note: It felt like it took FOREVER to be able to get this one posted... though I look and I'm actually right on timetable with my usual week between shows. Ugh. Anyways, here we are; only a week away from Starrcade! Sorry to anyone who didn't get predictions in, but I really feel like I need to move things along, so I'm posting this one now, and hopefully by tomorrow evening at the latest I can have a Hotline up.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWSaturdayNight.png
WCW Saturday Night

December 1994, Week 2

Held from: Landon Arena (Mid-West)

Attendance: 10,000 (sell out)

Rating: B

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/TonySchiavone.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/BobbyHeenan2.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/JesseVentura.jpg

"Hollywood Strikes Back"

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWTV.jpg
http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BrianPillman2.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/GreatMuta.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/SonnyOnoo.jpg

WCW World Television Championship

Brian Pillman vs. The Great Muta w/Sonny Onoo

Pillman seems to know that this is one of his toughest challenges to date, and he steels himself to the fact that the only people who want him to keep the belt are the fans. Muta proves to be quite a difficult challenge, taking Brian to limits he has not found in years. Late in the match, Pillman is able to dodge a handspring back elbow to gain an edge, and he quickly exploits it, springboarding off the ropes and twisting Muta into a tornado DDT! By the skin of his teeth and much to the chagrin of Sonny Onoo, Brian retains the title!

Winner and STILL WCW World Television Champion: Brian Pillman

Rating: C+

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/MichaelHayes.jpg

Backstage we see Michael “P.S.” Hayes, who, for once, is not his usual overbearing, cocky self. He speaks very plainly and very sternly about how saddened he is to find that WCW have signed a match for Starrcade between him and Terry Gordy – at the request of “Bamm Bamm” himself. Hayes says that he was hoping that he and Terry could talk this out like brothers, but now it looks like he’s forced to beat sense into Gordy. Hayes looks dejected and starts to walk away, but he’s stopped…

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/TerryGordy.jpg

…by Gordy himself! Terry snarls at Hayes, telling him that he needs to wake up and see what’s standing in front of him: a six-foot-six, three hundred pound wrecking ball which is looking to smash him like a moth. Gordy tells his former partner that he’s here in WCW to prove himself, and when they brought Hayes back along with him, he decided it was time to show the world that the mouth is nothing without the muscle to back it up. To make an exclamation point on top of that, he slaps Hayes so hard it knocks him back a step! Gordy says that he’s never needed Michael, and come Starrcade, he’ll never have to carry his dead weight around again. Gordy walks off with Hayes holding his cheek from the slap.

Rating: C-

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/StevenRegal.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/LannyPoffo.jpg

Pillman’s “X-X-X Files” have branched out apparently, as this time we see the Blue Bloods, Lord Steven Regal and Baron Leonard Tomas, talking in front of the hand cam. And that’s pretty well exactly what this is, as the two have a match full of action – but unfortunately the crowd are only about half behind it. Though Rick does seem to have quite a lot of followers out there already, as signs are seen in the crowd reading “Welcome back, Model!” and “The Model No More”. Jesse Ventura says that he talked to Martel earlier tonight, and he said that this match is going to be vindicating, because it’s like looking in a mirror – just like he, Roma started in a few tag teams and now thinks he is special just because he’s “Pretty”. Roma’s heel tactics give him the advantage a few times, but in the end, the revitalized star takes Roma down with some solid wrestling before locking in the Quebec Crab to get the submission victory.

Winner: Rick Martel

Rating: C

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan2.jpg

We cut to “Pillman’s X-X-X Files”, but what we see is something unexpected: apparently Hollywood Hogan has found one of Pillman’s cameras and he’s addressing the reigning TV champion directly! He tells him that he needs to stop this, because if Pillman thinks he can get over on the KoW, he ain’t seen nuthin’ yet! Hogan says that he best stop this thing about trying to expose The Queen; because in case there’s anything left of him after Big Bubba destroys him at Starrcade, Hogan has an old friend on speed dial who will be happy to do him a favor! He says that if Brian thinks he’s the first one to “go crazy” from things that have happened to him in his career, he’s dead wrong.

Rating: B

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RicFlair.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/GeneOkerlund.jpg

Mean Gene is backstage with “The Nature Boy”, and Flair is on fire tonight as he talks about Sting. But Flair says that he doesn’t mind which of them faces off with Hogan, because when he defeats Sting tonight, Starrcade will be “A Flair for the Gold” again, and he’ll take the title back from the KoW!

Rating: B

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Animal.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Hawk.jpg

Out of the back roar the Road Warriors, and they talk about how Dustin Rhodes should have stayed at home to nurse his wounds more before coming back. Dustin says that this is a new day, and he’s been personally thinking of things that will get them back for what happened at WrestleWar! Jack says that Kevin may think he’ll destroy him physically, but many have tried and none have succeeded – but mentally, you can’t destroy what’s already been decimated, left behind on various high school gyms and auditoriums throughout the years! Jack says that Kevin has had his career firmly in line for a lot of years because WCW never has wanted to lose him, but he’s going to force his entire life to change at Starrcade! Kevin says why wait, and he punches Cactus! Match takes a little over five minutes, and that’s only because Vader is on the apron for three of them. Hakushi shows off some impressive skills, baffling Maggs and Starr both with his aerial savvy, and then he tags in Vader to massacre both men, which Vader does almost simultaneously. Hakushi comes in and sets one man on top of the other, leading to a Vaderbomb onto both, gives Sonny Onoo a big grin as he snaps pictures of Brady Boone counting the three.

Winners: Vader and Hakushi

Rating: C

Vader stops briefly to flex at the mouth of the aisle, but it ends up being his undoing!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/ArnAnderson.jpg

A swinging tire iron takes him down quickly, as “Double A” makes his presence felt! He’s asking for “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan to come down, because he says he wants to talk to him. Duggan does make his way out, flag and 2x4 in hand, and Austin tells him that he wants to apologize. He says that he knows what Duggan means, that he hasn’t been representing this great nation as a true United States champion. He talks about how he wants to set the record straight, and give “Hacksaw” a fair fight at Starrcade, and he’ll start it right now by shaking the man’s hand. The champion puts out his hand, but Duggan is skeptical. He looks around to the crowd for their advice – most of them urging him to not trust him, though both Jesse and Bobby say that Steve is an upstanding guy. Tony groans at that one. Duggan finally does give in, in the interest of sportsmanship, and shakes his hand…

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BrianJames.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BradArmstrong.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/DDP.jpg

…. But out from under the ring come the Armstrongs and DDP! They attack Duggan while he’s locked in handshake, and Austin laughs, calling Jim a gullible fool! The three henchmen put the boots to him while he’s down, while Austin picks up Duggan’s flag and waves it back and forth, mocking him by sticking out his thumb with a loud “HOOOOOOO!” Tony calls this disgraceful, while Jesse admires the image of Stunning Steve, the US champion, with the US flag held high above his head.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/MarcMero.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BookerT.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/StevieRay.jpg

But here comes the cavalry! The Stable all swear revenge on their way out of the arena, as Duggan is helped back to his feet. He gets on the microphone and says that Austin very nearly had him fooled, but he knew better – he gathered his friends before coming out to the ring! The Queen eats it up though, clapping for her client as they enter the ring. Hogan takes a microphone and says that WCW have screwed him over, but he’s going to make the most of it. He says that his open challenge is what will bring the television ratings, not some boring match between “The Nature Girl” and “Stink”! But he says that this is the time that he was told to come out, because WCW think they can hold him down like this. But they can’t hold down a star like Hollywood Hogan! And that’s why he’s out here to make a scene for everyone, the scene of the conquering hero! Hogan quickly sticks to badmouthing his younger opponent, telling him that he should stay hiding behind big brother and how he doesn’t deserve this match. He jaws about how Booker will never be a King of Wrestling, how he’s a nothing, a nobody. This goes on until Booker ducks an Axe Bomber clothesline and answers back with a big Harlem Sidekick that shuts Hogan’s mouth for the rest of the match! Hollywood stalls outside the ring though, and in general his tactics serve to anger both the crowd and his hot-tempered opponent. Booker puts up far more of a fight than Hogan ever would have expected though, making the most of this chance in the spotlight, but in the end Hogan is able to “Hollywood Up” (which is just like Hulking Up except it consists of a low blow and eye rake) and hit the big boot and a legdrop to get the victory.

Winner: Hollywood Hogan

Rating: B

Afterwards, Hogan takes the microphone again and says that he doesn’t care who wins the main event, because at Starrcade, he’s going to annihilate either Flair or Sting and prove that WCW has never been a match for someone like him! They start with a handshake and a standard lockup, as the two former enemies do their best to hold up and not give the KoW what they want. But as the match wears on, the lockups get harder, the chops start to sting more (no pun intended), and the punches start to fly. About the time that Flair apologizes and shrugs after the “trick knee” gives way, this match quickly becomes Ric Flair and Sting, WCW competitors at the top of their game trying to defeat one another for bragging rights! Flair has Sting in the figure four leglock, but Sting reverses the pressure, pounding on his chest and calling to his “Little Stingers”! Flair’s fans in the audience are visible, a sign reading “WOOOOOOO!” in the air as dueling howls and “Wooo”s echo through the arena! Flair goes to the top only to get thrown off and Sting follows up with a big Stinger Splash! He sends Flair to the other side of the ring and hits another one, causing Flair to flop onto his face! He’s ready, and Sting quickly locks in the Scorpion Deathlock! They shove Flair out of the ring, and Hogan runs over and drops a legdrop on Sting, and Hawk and Animal force Randy to count a three count on him.

But Sting kicks out of it! Even with it not being a match, Sting won’t stay down! He starts to fight back, hitting everyone in a black and white t-shirt! The crowd rallies behind him, but he hesitates for a moment when he comes face-to-face with Dusty Rhodes, but Dusty doesn’t hesitate from nailing Sting with a bionic elbow square to the forehead! Hogan and the Road Warriors swarm him, attacking with belts being used like whips! Hogan whips Sting with a weightlifting belt, and when he finally seems to be lying still, they take out a can of spraypaint! Hollywood personally marks a black “KoW” down Sting’s back! Comments: Going with a DQ here too.

Harlem Heat vs. Stunning Steve Austin & Diamond Dallas Page w/Colonel Robert Parker

Comments: Arguably the toughest to pick in the entire card. Could go either way, but i think that the champs are getting the momentum back.

Cactus Jack & Terry Funk vs. Lord Steven Regal & Jean-Paul Lévesque

Comments: Jean-Paul should take the fall to keep Regal safe here, and Cactus gains some momentum going into Starrcade.

“The Enforcer” Arn Anderson vs. Hakushi w/Sonny Onoo

Comments: Now it's his time.

“Wildfire” Tommy Rich vs. “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff w/Jimmy Hart

Comments: Tommy Rich is Poor now. LOL

The Heavenly Bodies vs. Mark Starr & Jumpin’ Joey Maggs

Comments: Do i need to comment here? :p

Comments on Last Show: Great show. Can't wait to see who is Hogan's crazy friend, and Pillman is quickly going to the Main Event, glad to see it. My Sting prediction finally becomes true, let's see if he can win at the big one.

24(ish) hour prediction warning!

I think just about everyone who's going to has already predicted, but tomorrow night Saturday Night and the preview for Starrcade will be posted!

Thanks for all the comments about the last show, and I'm glad so many are enjoying the midcard feuds just as much as the major WCW/KoW stars. I really like the Gordy/Hayes feud, it's been a highlight for me to get to do it (even if technically in GWF in this time period they were running a Freebird feud.... but I didn't know that when I started it), and yeah... But the mistake they made was not killing him, and he’s going to come back stronger for it, and he’s going to behead the King! They eat it up when Austin and Page (and Parker) cheat their way to an advantage over Booker, and they cheer loudly when Stevie Ray comes in off the hot tag to clean house on the Studs. The match falls apart though when Parker distracts referee Randy Anderson and the Armstrong Brothers hit the ring to beat down Harlem Heat. They’re followed up by Johnny B. But since then, Gordy has made their reunion “a pile of you-know-what” and he hates to see it have come to this, but if Terry thinks the only way to prove himself is to beat the other man in the ring, then at Starrcade, Hayes is just going to have to show that Gordy is wrong. The mouth didn’t need the muscle behind it, the muscle dragged on the mouth’s coattails all these years! Terry says only one thing: that he accepts Michael’s apology, and he has one too. He says that he’ll be sorry for what happens to Hayes when they meet in the ring at Starrcade. Martel says that he had a great match last week, and he was happy to get the win and hopefully prove himself just a little bit that what he had to say about leaving his past behind is legitimate. He says he really wants to be a leader for the next generation of wrestlers, that no matter what you do or get typecast as, you don’t have to be that way forever! But a very unexpected visitor shows up….

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan2.jpg

Hollywood Hogan walks in on the interview and says that he’s been listening to Martel lately, and he’s absolutely right – what you’re doing doesn’t have to be who you are. Hollywood says that he has always known Rick as a great athlete, and he wants to give him this chance, this one chance, to join up and - given where he came from - “be where he belongs” with the Kings of Wrestling. Martel thinks about it for a moment, before turning Hogan down. He says it is no disrespect – but that isn’t the kind of difference he’s looking to make. Hogan then turns on a dime, saying that Martel is a fool; anyone would love to get the chance that he’s offering Rick right now! To be a made man, rather than someone who gets left in the dust! Martel says that he doesn’t, nor has he ever believed in gangs, and Hollywood really hits the roof with that one. He says that Rick had better bring his gear to Starrcade, because Hogan has a surprise for everyone that he was going to just reveal the newest member of the Kings of Wrestling. But now, he has one better, and he’s challenging Martel to meet his new charge in the ring at Starrcade! Regal eventually gets tagged in, and he works on Jack by locking him in various holds that take away his brawling edge, playing to his own game. But Terry Funk comes in and surprises by wrestling right along with Regal, before punching him in the face! Regal tags out quickly, and all hell breaks loose when Kevin Sullivan comes down to the ring and trips Cactus behind Nick Patrick’s back! Jack gives chase, and when Terry looks toward his now missing partner, Lévesque is able to roll him up from behind and get a three count that surprises everybody!

Winners: Lord Steven Regal & Jean-Paul Lévesque

Rating: B-

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/DustinRhodes.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/JesseVentura.jpg

A pre-taped interview is shown as Jesse “The Body” Ventura sits down for a special backstage Body Shop with “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes. Rhodes says that even though it’s his father, as much as he’d love for all of this to be over for the Rhodes family to be able to enjoy a good Christmas next week, the Kings of Wrestling has happened, and nothing will be the same until he’s done his part and made his dad see him as a man and not as a replacement by WCW.

Rating: C+

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/kow.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RicFlair.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RickySteamboat.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Sting.jpg
“Hot Rod” Roddy Piper & The Road Warriors w/ Jimmy Hart & “American Outlaw” Dusty Rhodes vs. “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, & Sting

What a first test for new WCW referee Mark Curtis! Jesse Ventura agrees with a sign in the crowd, calling “Nature Boy, Dragon, and Stinger: WCW’s Dream Team”. When Sting is in the ring, he goes right for everyone in front of him, motivated by revenge on everybody on the KoW side. At one point he comes in and cleans house, and he goes over to Dusty and urges him to come in the ring! The Road Warriors have to forcibly grab Dusty and hold him back! The Kings isolate Flair on their side of the ring, with Piper especially doing what he can to torment his Starrcade opponent and long-time rival. The Road Warriors have never had any love lost for Flair, so they seem to be taking much pleasure in dealing out punishment on him. “The Dragon” gets his chance in the ring, and he does well for himself against Hawk, but he succumbs to the numbers due to the extra two on the outside of the ring, and the KoW work to dominate him as well. But that all stops when Sting takes initiative, because when Jimmy jumps up on the apron, Sting rushes over to punch him back down to the floor! A sign in the crowd says “Don’t Trust Flair again Sting!” But all he has to do right now is get the tag from him, which happens; Sting comes in and starts cleaning house, hitting Animal with a big clothesline that doesn’t take the big man down, but a big dropkick sends him out of the ring! Hawk comes over, and Sting kicks him and drills him with a piledriver – Hawk quickly gets back to his feet, but “The Dragon” flies off the top with a crossbody that drops him! The two roll out of the ring and only Sting and Roddy Piper remain! Piper tried to sneak in a cheapshot from behind, but Sting turned and caught him! Sting points at him before hammering him with kicks and chops! He sends Piper heading into the ropes, and hits a big flying clothesline on him! Piper is down and winded, and Sting quickly capitalizes; while Steamboat and Flair keep the Warriors at bay, he locks in the Scorpion Deathlock! Piper struggles to get to the ropes, but eventually Sting pulls on more pressure and he is forced to submit!

Winners: Sting, Ricky Steamboat, and Ric Flair

Rating: B+

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RicFlair.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RoddyPiper.jpg
http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Sting.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan2.jpg

The match is over, and out comes the WCW World Heavyweight champion! WCW Starrcade '94 official program

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/starrcade94.jpg

WCW Presents Starrcade ’94!

“Heads Will Roll!”

LIVE on pay-per-view from the Kiel Center in St. Louis, Missouri!

Featuring a special live concert from rock legends Metallica!

WCW and the Kings of Wrestling collide when Hollywood Hogan finally faces off with the man they call Sting!

How we got here: Back in July, these two stood in the ring and shook hands on how Hogan could trust Sting to face Ric Flair. But as soon as Sting got taken out by an unseen assailant, Hollywood Hogan formed the Kings of Wrestling alongside Roddy Piper. When Sting came back, he was accused by Vader of being in cahoots with the KoW, leading the two long-time rivals into a war with one another for months; but Vader finally spilled that he had been under the KoW’s payroll the whole time to keep Sting away from them! After that, Sting has been on a collision course with Hollywood, but due to his loss last month – a loss caused by Piper - he cannot challenge for the WCW World Heavyweight championship here. That makes this a match solely for bragging rights; will Hogan continue to brag that he has beaten everyone WCW has thrown at him, or will Sting prove that title shot or no, he’s the best in the world?!

“The Nature Boy” and the “Hot Rod” one last time!

How we got here: Roddy Piper immediately made no friends when he came to WCW, smashing Jimmy Hart’s trademark megaphone over the head of Ric Flair and gift wrapping the World Heavyweight title for Hollywood Hogan. Ric Flair has not forgotten that, but this is also a match that Flair is taking on for another reason: he looks to hurt Piper badly enough that he cannot interfere in Sting’s match with Hollywood Hogan! Piper is in this one to prove his own worth and take Flair down a few pegs. Which of these legends will come out on top?!

Dustin Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat look for retribution on the Road Warriors!

How we got here: It has been a rollercoaster of a year for “The Natural”. He started it going for the United States championship, but then got into battles with the Stud Stable. But when he was denied his revenge on Colonel Parker by bodyguard Meng, things took a turn for the worse when Dusty Rhodes turned out to be one of the KoW’s infamous “Trinity”! During WarGames, the Road Warriors showed that they are a part of the KoW as well, and now the stage is set for a huge tag team match, pitting the famed Road Warriors against WCW’s present-and-future team of Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes! Will Dustin get his father’s respect, or will the Road Warriors show the kind of dominance they used to display on a regular basis?

“The Enforcer” takes on “The Monster” in the most hard-hitting bout shown on this side of the world!

How we got here: “The Monster” Vader has been on a tear ever since moving on from facing Sting, and before WCW vs. The World he answered a challenge from Arn Anderson. Anderson didn’t like how Vader used interference from manager Sonny Onoo to get the win at the cross-promotion show, and things have grown more and more violent between the two as we lead up to their match at Starrcade! Will Anderson be able to slay the monster, or is it really Vader time?

The United States Heavyweight championship is on the line between Stunning Steve Austin and Hacksaw Jim Duggan!

How we got here: The prototypical patriot “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan has been watching for a long time, and he has said that he hates how Stunning Steve Austin has represented the great US of A as its US Heavyweight champion! The two have met at WrestleWar, with Austin cheating his way to victory, but will it be the same here?

Bubba Rogers looks to disarm the Loose Cannon Brian Pillman!

How we got here: Brian Pillman is a changed man ever since Hollywood Hogan came to WCW. After feeling rejected by both WCW and the KoW, Pillman has snapped, and is now not only “the Loose Cannon” but also the WCW World Television champion. The KoW want that title, and Nick Bockwinkel will gladly shove Pillman under the rug the second he loses it. But even more than that, Pillman has said that he has some “explicit” footage of The Queen that he will show after the match… but Hogan says he has a friend on hand to make Pillman regret it if he even thinks about showing it! Will the former prison guard disarm the Loose Cannon, or will Brian get to show his footage?

A street fight will determine the futures of Kevin Sullivan and Cactus Jack!

How we got here: It has been a long six months for Cactus Jack, who went from one half of the WCW World Tag Team champions to feuding with the man who was his partner! But the deck is stacked against both men now, as Kevin must leave WCW if he loses, but Cactus must renounce his entire persona to “The Gamesmaster” if he loses! Who’s career will be changed by this match?

Brothers come to blows when Michael Hayes faces Terry Gordy!

How we got here: When Michael “P.S.” Hayes and Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy are in the ring as a team, other teams tremble against the Fabulous Freebirds. It’s been that way for years. But when Gordy came back to WCW, he was less than thrilled to find that WCW had also brought back his former running buddies. Terry immediately assaulted Hayes, then decimated Jimmy “Jam” Garvin at WrestleWar so badly that he has not been seen again in WCW! Gordy wants to prove that the mouth of Hayes was nothing without his muscle, but Hayes says Gordy is just upset because he’s always ridden on Michael’s coattails! Which of the two will be right?

In other matches:

Diamond Dallas Page wants to take out his “homewrecker” Johnny B. Badd!

Ron Simmons looks for payback on The Butcher!

The World Tag Team titles are on the line as Harlem Heat defends against The Armstrong Brothers!

The US Tag Team titles will be decided in a final battle between the Rock ‘n Roll Express and Heavenly Bodies!

Rick Martel faces the KoW’s newest member!

Jean-Paul Lévesque takes on veteran “Wildfire” Tommy Rich; will Lord Steven Regal make his decision?

In two bonus matches, “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff and Meng will be in a tag team match, and “Das Wunderkind” Alex Wright will also be in action!

Hollywood Hogan w/The Queen vs. Sting

The go home show of the year and with no title on the line - this surely has to be the Stinger's night... I know this is WCW and that things don't always go as expected but this one has to go to the side of right.

“Nature Boy” Ric Flair vs. “Hot Rod” Roddy Piper w/Jimmy Hart

Call me a mark if you will but I'm the same for this one - Flair IS WCW. A win here and in the main event shows some serious problems in KoW.

Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat & “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes vs. The Road Warriors w/ “American Outlaw” Dusty Rhodes

This is where the KoW get their win and the real seeds of dissention are sown thanks to the ole Dubya C Dubya boys doing what the WWF couldn't.

“The Enforcer” Arn Anderson vs. “The Monster” Vader w/Sonny Onoo

I love Arn but he's out of his element here.

US Heavyweight title: Stunning Steve Austin w/Col. Rob Parker vs. “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan w/2x4

Go away Duggan.

World Television title: “Loose Cannon” Brian Pillman vs. Bubba Rogers w/Jimmy Hart

More KoW related trouble when Hogan's buddy fails to get the job done.

World Tag Team titles: Harlem Heat vs. The Armstrong Brothers w/Col. Rob Parker

Can't beat the Heat. That's what the Warriors are for...

US Tag Team titles: The Rock ‘n Roll Express vs. The Heavenly Bodies

Everyone else is retaining in my predictions so I'm going with the Bodies being the only change of the night.

Street Fight: Cactus Jack vs. “The Gamesmaster” Kevin Sullivan w/Jimmy Hart

That stipulation about losing the persona is suggesting to me that we could be in for a second face of Foley.

Michael “P.S.” Hayes vs. Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy

Gordy is on a tear.

Diamond Dallas Page w/Col. Rob Parker vs. Johnny B. Badd w/Teddy Long

Duggan, come back. Good. Now take Johnny B. Badd with you.

Rick Martel vs. ???

Always back a mystery... [prayer] please be a heel Tito Santana... [/prayer]

Ron Simmons vs. The Butcher w/Jimmy Hart

Beefcake is doomed. See what I did there?

Jean-Paul Lévesque vs. “Wildfire” Tommy Rich

Wildfire's getting put out.

“Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff & Meng w/Jimmy Hart vs. The Playboys

I can never remember who the Playboys are... that's not a good sign...

“Das Wunderkind” Alex Wright vs. Devon Storm

DANZIG!
