WCW '94: War of the Thrones

Recommended Posts

Another well done card. Kind of glad i'm getting picks wrong, just means more unpredictability. Which of course, is usually a good thing.

Can't wait to see what's next, a lot of interesting stuff going on from top to bottom.

<p>Top-notch show! </p><p>

My only complaint is that I keep reading the title as WCW '94: A Game of Thrones. I'm waiting for a WarGames match between The Lannisters and The Starks. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Halloween Havoc was an amazing pay-per-view, Beejus. Of course it was capped off by the surprise turn of the American Dream Dusty Rhodes. It's been quite awhile since he was heel. Any chance of him getting the nickname, "The Texas Outlaw" as his heel nickname?

I feel sorry for The Dragon. He had the win all sewn up before the interference of the Kings Of Wrestling (and their Queen). But I am sure that he is likely to not be done with Hogan. Next time, I say let's do this in a cage, brother!

The undercard was solid. Terry Funk showing up to be the 'mystery partner' of Cactus Jack was not so much a mystery but it made sense and that's what's important. No need to pull a swerve for a swerve's sake.

It looks like we might be heading toward a Starrcade match between Hollywood Hogan and Sting. If so, sign me up. Sign me up, anyway because I know you'll do a great job with the build toward WCW's signature card.

Vader - Duh.

Arn Anderson - I can see Regal getting himself counted out if he doesn't lose cleanly.

Harlem Heat - Wow, Orndorff and Meng is a powerful team.

Jim Duggan - Keep his overness up so you can job his ass out.

The Heavenly Bodies and The Armstrong Brothers

Ron Simmons - The Patriot sucks.

The Texas Regulators (Tex Slazenger & Shanghai Pierce) - They never did have a name in real life did they? Cool one.

Comment: Do i have to comment about this match?

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson vs. Lord Steven Regal w/Baron Leonard Tomas

Comment: This should be a solid technical match, but Regal is coming up short against Double A.

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff & Meng w/Jimmy Hart vs. Harlem Heat

Comment: Orndorff is best as a gatekeeper on this era.

"Pretty" Paul Roma vs. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan

Comment: Like CM Punk would say...Nap Time!

The Rock 'n Roll Express and The Young Pistols vs. The Heavenly Bodies and The Armstrong Brothers

Comment: Rock 'n' Roll, baby.

The Patriot vs. Ron Simmons

Comment: Ron finally gets a win, as he renewed the contract on the start of the diary. I see a crazy storyline after this.

The Texas Regulators (Tex Slazenger & Shanghai Pierce) vs. Devon Storm & Kimo

Comment: The Godwi...oh, sorry, The Regulators are not losing to these jobbers. Like TFC, i like Storm, but right now he's just a jobber, and that's da truth, da whole truth, and nothing but da truth.

"The Monster" Vader w/Sonny Onoo vs. Johnny B. Badd w/Teddy Long

Comment: Poor Marc... Poor, poor Marc...

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson vs. Lord Steven Regal w/Baron Leonard Tomas

Comment: Something of an upset perhaps but I can see Regal taking a tainted win here after an exceptional technical wrestling display

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff & Meng w/Jimmy Hart vs. Harlem HeatComment: Orndorff and Meng are both solid hands but they're here to put over the Heat.

"Pretty" Paul Roma vs. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan

Comment: Was never a huge Duggan fan growing up but I've since watched some Mid-South stuff and can see that he was talented at one point and heavily under-utilised probably growing lazy... as did Roma... the other problem with Roma is that he's an absolute douche so Duggan it is for me.

The Rock 'n Roll Express and The Young Pistols vs. The Heavenly Bodies and The Armstrong Brothers

Comment: When Armstrongs collide!!! Smothers to eat the pin.

The Patriot vs. Ron Simmons

Comment: I don't know if you're considering throwing another faction into the mix but with Ron Simmons and Harlem Heat on the books there's the foundations of a pretty strong Nation rip-off right there!

The Texas Regulators (Tex Slazenger & Shanghai Pierce) vs. Devon Storm & Kimo

Comment: Yeah... Regulators on their way up.

The sound of the "Midnight Rider" plays as the newest member of the Kings of Wrestling emerges from the back and walks to the ring. Tony says that he never saw this one coming, and Bobby is even shocked. He says how Dusty sat here with them, week after week, and they never suspected a thing. A slew of signs are shown in the crowd demonizing him, some reading "Hit the Rhode, Dusty!" and "Dusty Sold Out!" Rhodes gets a microphone, and he starts off saying that "Ya know at one point I said I'd wined and dined with kings and queens, and I'd slept in alleys and dined on pohk 'n beans... lemme jus' say right now, no mattah what, kings and queens always have tha' better place settin's!" Dusty goes on to talk about how there's been something a'gnawin' at his guts for the past few months - WCW has forgotten who the heroes, the main men, are supposed to be; and that's why when he saw Hulk Hogan step foot in WCW, he knew he couldn't let the same thing happen to him. Dusty says that he "built dis house, and ya all fahgot about 'tha 'merican Dream' as soon as I left! An' even more, they been doin' all they can to get a NEW 'merican Dream! Well now, ya all got a bigga' problem than you all thought in tha' Kay-oh-Dubya, and his name is 'the 'merican Outlaw, Dusty Rhodes'!" Dusty talks officially about the so-named Trinity, saying that the Trinity of the KoW are the three men who pulled Hogan aside when he stepped into WCW and told him that he was better than this; Roddy Piper was the first man who has come out as a member of this elite, and Dusty is the second!

Rhodes says that he almost feels bad for using Ricky Steamboat as his patsy, but at the same time, Ricky is not Kings material; he's just not good enough! The crowd really boo at that statement, and Dusty goes on to say that effective immediately, WCW revoked his commentary license, hence why Jesse Ventura is sitting at ringside instead of him. Dusty says that's fine with him; the KoW don't need a voice at the table, because they do their talking in the ring.

Just then, Dusty is interrupted by a loud cheer, as a guest comes out to the ring, his face very downtrodden.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/DustinRhodes.jpg

"The Natural" Dustin Rhodes! He walks down to the ring as the crowd cheers him on, and he gets a microphone of his own. Dustin starts out, saying that "Dad... you haven't answered my calls since last Sunday. What are you doing, Dad?" Dusty reassures him, saying that "Son, I'm sorry, but this is the way it is. The KoW is my place. I am one of the Keengs of Wrestling, and I earned my place among its ranks with blood, sweat, and tears over the past twenty-odd years." Dustin tells him that he's wrong, that isn't his place, WCW is! He tells him how he has always looked up to him, and he hoped when he saw his dad stand in the corner of Ricky Steamboat, that he and his father could take on the KoW together, but it was not to be, as Dusty joined the enemy! Dusty replies that Dustin needs to look around himself - he's with the enemy! "No Flair or Anderson has ever accepted a Rhodes, boy!" He extends his hand, and he says that there is still a chance - join him in the KoW, and they'll show WCW and everyone that father and son can take over the wrestling world! Dustin looks at his hand, and shakes his head; he says that he can't do that. He cannot join a group like the KoW, people with that kind of mentality that they're better than people because of where they came from or how long they've been wrestling.

Dusty then turns it completely around, and says that his son is a fool, saying "Who do ya think has been protectin' ya from tha' Keengs 'dis whole time?! Jimmy's been tryin' to hol' Meng back every time he comes to ya! I even paid Meng a bonus to keep ya' from embarrasin' yaself when you had that match with Colonel Parker!" Everything clicks into place now, finally - the reason Dustin was denied his revenge was becuase of his father all along! Dustin says that he will just have to get along without his father's help; he's going to rely on himself and his friends! And if his father doesn't get out of this, then the next time they meet face-to-face in the ring, it may not be a father-son chat, it could be in a match! Dusty says that the gloves are off now, ain't they? He says that WCW have been pushing for this ever since they both set foot in the company together, father against son, poisoning Dustin's mind and positioning him against his own father! The only way to stop it is by joining the KoW! Dustin says that he's wrong - the only way to stop it, is where it started; in the ring!

Dusty takes off his cowboy hat and gets right in his son's face, telling him that he needs to listen up: it simply isn't going to happen. Dustin says that if Dusty is so worried that WCW were trying to make him a replacement for his father, a "new American Dream" as he put it himself, then it's the only way that Dustin can earn his father's respect! Because he never wanted to be the new Dusty, only the first Dustin - but if Dusty can't respect him, then he has a new thing to fight for, and he'll personally run through every member of the KoW until he can get his old man in the ring! Dusty throws down his microphone and walks out of the ring, shaking his head and saying "Not a chance, never, not a chance" as Dustin stands in the ring - standing tall, but heartbroken at the same time.

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff & Meng w/Jimmy Hart vs. Harlem Heat

After that emotional opening, the crowd are far too blown away to care about this match. What then follows is a rather heatless mess of guys who can work well just going through the motions. Surprisingly, Orndorff and Meng tag very well together, the two's styles blending into a much more well-oiled machine than what the Heat were prepared for, and with Jimmy Hart coaching from the outside, they prove to be quite a force. For a brief moment we see a sign saying something about Mr. Wonderful and an ink pen, but it disappears into the night pretty quickly. Meng's incredible toughness rears its head at the end of the match, as the Heat think he's done and try going for the Big Apple Blast, but when Stevie lifts him up Meng clamps on the Tongan Deathgrip! Orndorff drags Booker out of the ring, leaving Ray to drop to the mat and get pinned in the debilitating hold for the surprise victory!

Winners: Paul Orndorff & Meng

Rating: C

Notes: I know everyone will be surprised I went this way, but it'll make more sense later... also, Orndorff and Meng have great chemistry as a team, so you may see them popping up as partners more often in the future.

The Patriot vs. Ron Simmons

The Patriot is very game, and he comes out waving and handing out tiny flags, but he should have worried less about flags and more about his opponent. Ron Simmons may not have been featured all that heavily in the past month, but if anything that has only made him MORE dangerous, as now he's fighting while agitated. Every move he makes and every punch he lands just seems to have that much more force behind it, as he seems to be trying to show the world the depth of his destruction, through Patriot. Referee Brady Boone even calls him on it, admonishing him any time he gets too rough. The Patriot tries to rally back, bringing the crowd into it with a "U-S-A" chant, but it doesn't last long until "Big Ron" tires of that and puts Patriot down with a vicious running shoulder tackle for the win.

Gene Okerlund is backstage alongside the team of Terry Funk and Cactus Jack, and the two are quite pleased after their victory last Sunday over the Sullivans. Jack says that after their match last week, he knew there was only one man who could ever have been his partner, and that's "Uncle Terry" right here! Funk beams like a proud parent, saying that he agrees; he thought the fire was gone from in his belly, that he was starting to get too old for this, but then after he faced Cactus Jack, he realized that he still has at least one more thing to give this rasslin' business, and that's helping Cactus in his battle with that sawed-off dog Kevin Sullivan! Cactus says that after their win last week, Kevin can't duck him anymore, and he's going to have to get in the ring at some point, and when he does Cactus will be waiting to tear him limb from limb! The two are then assaulted from behind!!

Kevin Sullivan and Roddy Piper come in swinging weapons, smashing Funk and Jack and beating them down to the ground! Sullivan grabs Mean Gene's mic and yells at the fallen Cactus that this is what he gets; now, it's a whole new game, as Kevin has sent away his brother! Kevin says that if Jack thought he was tough on him before, now "The Gamesmaster" is out for revenge of his own, and he won't stop until he's gotten it!

The Texas Regulators vs. Devon Storm & Kimo

The newly named team of Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce are on fire in this contest, as their two young foes tonight are trying to make a name for themselves. But tonight, it's all about the Regulators; no matter how big and bad Kimo is or how well Storm does, the two big Texans put them back down, and finally Pierce uses an inverted DDT on Devon to get the pin.

Mean Gene Okerlund is backstage with the United States Heavyweight champion "Stunning" Steve Austin. Austin is there first and foremost to gloat, and he talks about how yet again, Johnny B. Badd fell flat. Okerlund asks him if he got permission from DDP to use his Diamond Cutter, and Austin says that of course he did! Don't go trying to cause trouble in the Stud Stable! Austin says that Gene needs to just hold the mic, and he then keeps talking about how this title proves that he's the top wrestler in all the United States of America! And that's good enough for now! He says that to the rest of the world, he is the representative of the US, and everybody should bow down to him for setting such a great example! Austin starts to talk more, but a voice from off-screen interrupts...

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/JimDuggan.jpg

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan walks in with his 2x4 and American flag slung over his shoulder, and he asks Austin for clarification, if he really thinks he's a shining example of the good ole' USA? Austin says that of course he is, and Duggan is steaming! He says that Austin may be from the United States, he may have worn that belt for a long time now, but he does NOT represent the USA! "Hacksaw" says that he needs a wake-up call, and Duggan will gladly give it to him by taking that title off of his shoulder! Austin outright laughs at the thought, saying that there is no chance that a fossil like Duggan will ever take the belt from Stunning Steve Austin! In fact, there's so much of no chance, that he won't even GET a brush with greatness, challenge denied! Austin laughs as he walks off, and Duggan says to Gene that he'll prove himself yet, and he'll get that title shot soon, and show Austin what it means to stand for the U-S-of A! "Hacksaw" walks away to the ring, Duggan takes on Paul Roma next!

"Pretty" Paul Roma vs. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan

Duggan comes out with newfound vigor, more pumped up than before after talking to Steve Austin a few moments ago. Roma is game, but anyone can see that tonight he is solely there to have his flying boots on. Teammate Alex Porteau comes out and provides distraction to make it seem like he has a chance, but a double noggin knocker from "Hacksaw" ends that, and then an Old Glory Kneedrop is the end of the match. Duggan makes the title motion around his waist after the bell. Maybe Roma was distracted by the "I'm Jim Powers - Will Wrestle For Food" sign in the crowd?

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RickySteamboat.jpg

"The Dragon" is in the ring, and he says that last week, he was the victim of a travesty. He says that he listened intently earlier tonight, and it made his blood boil to see a man whom he thought was a friend tear down him and the promotion that made him what he is. Ricky says that the entire Kings of Wrestling are something that's been wrong in this business for a lot longer than just a few months ago, as people don't want to pave the way for the next generation, they just want all the fame and money for themselves; and to that end, Steamboat says that he knows it was hard on him, but he wants to be the first to say that he's proud of Dustin Rhodes for standing up to his father earlier tonight. "The Dragon" says that he will undoubtably be on Dustin's side if he ever needs him, but he has another fish to fry right now, and that's Hollywood Hogan. He says that he knows Hogan is back there, and he wants to call him out right here and now, and demand a rematch!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan2.jpg

Hollywood emerges from the back, jamming to the sounds of his "Voodoo Chile" which infuriates Steamboat even more! Hogan stays out of the ring, telling Steamboat to calm down, brother. Hogan says that as easy as it would be to just come down there and break him in half, it's just not in the cards. Hollywood says that he just got off the phone with the big man in charge, and whether anybody likes it or not, Hogan is going to take advantage of something in his contract that says that at any point he chooses, no matter what is going on, he can take an extended vacation! Hogan says that 'no matter what' even includes him holding the WCW World title, so there will be no thirty-day defense rule going on while he's on vacation! Steamboat calls him a coward, that he's just trying to get away from the fire of the Dragon! Hogan says that he doesn't have a worry in the world, and especially to that of Steamboat. Ricky ups the ante then, and he says that if Hogan isn't afraid of the Dragon's fire, then maybe what he's running from is the sting of the Scorpion? The fans burst out in cheers as Hogan looks shocked for a moment, but he regains his composure quickly, saying that he is afraid of no man, woman, or beast; but if Ricky wants to fight so much, then how about he gets some playmates? Some good guys who will show him how to be... Nasty!

From seemingly out of nowhere, the Nasty Boys attack from behind, beating Steamboat down with a wooden pole! The Nastys do their work well, but Steamboat starts to fight back! He catches the pole and takes it, starting to come back up and hit back, until Hogan sneaks up and whacks him with the World title! Steamboat goes down, and the three stomp him to the mat. The Nastys each hold him down, as Hollywood gets out a can of spraypaint and brands "The Dragon" with the KoW across his back! Who can stop this madness?

The Rock 'n Roll Express & The Young Pistols vs. The Armstrong Brothers & The Heavenly Bodies w/Col. Robert Parker

This one is a wild and crazy match from the get-go, but sadly the angles on this show have completely ovewhelmed the matches to this point. The RNR and Bodies mainly duke it out, but the Armstrongs seem to come into their own, as Brad has stopped giving his sportsmanship and is now seen doing all he can to dismantle his opponents anytime he is in the ring. He viciously goes after his own brother's leg, and finishes the match while all the other participants are brawling outside the ring by locking in his figure four leglock while Colonel Parker holds his arms for extra leverage from the outside of the ring.

Pillman keeps saying that they have to let him in, but they tell him they can't; they're under strict orders. Commissioner Bockwinkel steps onto the scene, and he says that they're right, he gave security orders to lock down the building and keep Pillman from entering, to maintain a little bit of order after Brian's little stunt at Havoc - he says that it took a lot of convincing to Gene Okerlund to not sue Brian and WCW for every penny they had after he put his hands on him like that! Pillman laughs, saying he was just having a bit of fun, but Bockwinkel moves the subject on, saying that he's been watching and he's heard Pillman talking about him. He says that any allegations Brian has are falsified information, and he doesn't know where he got these rumors from, but as WCW commissioner, he's above them. He tells Brian that he has to cease and desist immediately or else, but Pillman looks at him strangely and says that he has no idea what Nick is talking about. Bockwinkel says that Brian needs to quit playing around and "getting cute" or else he'll bring the force of law down on him. Nick walks inside, telling him to go home but come back next week "with your working boots on." Brian stands there for a moment, before smiling that smile again, and then walks off.

He says that if Rich wants to be so confident in himself, then Austin will throw him a bone; next week on WCW Saturday Night, he'll grant him a non-title match, and we'll see just how well Tommy can do against the biggest star in World Championship Wrestling! Austin says that if Rich is good enough, then maybe he can have that title shot - but if not, then Austin will put out this "Wildfire" and his brush with greatness will be over! Rich accepts, and the match will take place next week! Austin laughs his way out, as Rich stares intently at the US championship over the shoulder of his first opponent back in WCW.

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson vs. Lord Steven Regal

This is a great technical affair, with Arn and Regal playing off of one another's abilities and crafting quite the matchup. Lord Regal has an extra sneer on his face as he looks over the audience. Both men get in their licks, as Regal stalls out to frustrate the fans and then Anderson lets him have it when he gets his hands on him. This match illustrates that it's almost too bad that Arn is caught up with the KoW feud, because these two could have a great series. The ending comes about when Jean-Paul Lévesque, eager to help out his Lordship, comes out to the ring and tries to lend a hand. While the Baron has Nick Patrick distracted, Regal grabs "Double A" by the arms from behind and rushes him toward the ropes, but Arn ducks and the punch intended for him jacks the jaw of the blueblood instead! Arn takes quick advantage, smashing Regal with a DDT for the three count, as Lévesque looks on from the outside, mortified at what he's done!

Simmons says that he'll be the first to admit that Hogan is a big deal, but he says that nobody crosses "Big Ron" the wrong way! Hogan says that there must have been a mix-up, but Hogan has to get going now; they'll deal with this next week. "The Monster" Vader w/Sonny Onoo vs. Johnny B. Badd w/Teddy Long

This match may have seemed from the outset like a quick Vader win, but Badd instead puts up a great fight, and with that heart and determination, he turns this into a great, competitive match. No matter how far ahead Badd manages to get in the match however, there is one undeniable fact: an angry monster is a tough thing to keep down. Vader is always a few punches or a bodycheck away from getting the advantage back, and obviously he is looking to put Badd away in order to prove his dominance again after his loss last week to Sting. Badd is also trying to show his worth after a loss, but in the end, it's an outside force that brings about the finish, as Randy Anderson gets bumped into by Badd. While he's down, Diamond Dallas Page slips into the ring and drops Badd with a brass knuckle covered right hand! DDP gets back out again, and Vader lifts Badd up and, insult to injury, drills him with a powerbomb! A sign in the crowd says "That shot was not pretty!" as Vader covers the decimated Badd for the easy three count.

After our final commercial break of the evening, Sting comes out with a paper in his hand. Commentary wonder what it might be, and Sting gets a microphone as he enters the ring. He starts off by saying that it appears that the truth has been revealed! In case there was anybody who didn't believe him, Vader spilled the beans last week when he was being twisted into a giant pretzel in the Scorpion Deathlock, that the KoW were paying him to keep Sting away from them; now, there's nothing that's gonna keep him from getting to the KoW! He says though that it also looks like Hollywood Hogan has one more color on aside from black and white, and that's some yellow, because instead of face the Stinger right on, he's going on holiday! Sting says that's fine though; because he has something in his hand, and that's something that will help take a few heads off of this snake before he can get his hands around the neck of the turncoat. Sting says that the paper in his hand has been signed all this past hour by over forty names just in the locker room, and it is a petition that nobody in the back can ignore. He says that if it's what it takes to get things done, then he'll get the crowd to sign it as well, for something "special" to go on at WrestleWar later this month.

"You see, you boys from up north, like Hogan, and Piper, and the Nastys, and Meng, and Butcher, you boys may not know this. In some of your cases, it may be why you stayed away from WCW for so long. But Dusty Rhodes knows where I'm taking this. You see, here in WCW, we have a little tradition, when something like this happens, when there are people threatening the promotion that we all love. What this tradition is, is one side gets five guys, and the other side gets five guys, and we build a second ring! And we put a cage, with a roof, over these two rings! And men enter these cages, until one of them screams that he must give up, that he can take no more! And we call it WAR GAMES!!!"

The crowd are all riled up, and they're cheering loudly for the announcement, but another voice rings out from the back over the roar.

First of all, he loves Sting's idea; WarGames is indeed a WCW tradition, and within the next two weeks, the Kings of Wrestling and WCW will have to band together and decide on five men apiece to represent them in the match! The crowd roar in their approval, as Sting gets on the middle turnbuckle and cheers as well!

Bockwinkel quiets everyone again though, and he says that there are three men who will NOT take place in WarGames, however, and he hates to be the bearer of bad news, but.... it will not be Sting. Nor will it be Ric Flair. Nick says that he has something special in mind for them both. At WrestleWar, he says that WCW will be debuting a brand new concept; instead of only two men going at it in the ring, we will see three men, in a triangle match, squaring off all at the same time, until one man gets a pinfall or submission! And it will be Sting, against "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, against "The Monster" Vader! Nick says that he has one more stipulation he wants to put on this match, and it has a lot of weight behind it. The man who gets the pin or submission in the match, will become number one contender for the WCW World Heavyweight championship. The man who is not involved, will have no penalty. But the man who loses the match, will not receive a WCW World title match for twelve months! The crowd and Sting look on at Nick Bockwinkel in shock...

But then out comes Ric Flair! He walks down and gets in the ring, talking to Sting off microphone, until then out comes Vader! Vader stands outside the ring, and the three men have a staredown. The show closes on the image of Nick Bockwinkel smiling about his announcements.

Porteau and Roma get microphones, and Roma says that he's appalled to be in the same tag team division as some of those in the locker room. A brawl erupts until security break them up. (E+)

Overall Prediction Standings:

alvarasus: 1 Win

angeldelayette: 3 Win

deanohbk: 1 Win

The Final Countdown: 2 Win

franticloser: 1 Win

KieLyn129: 1 Win

NWAvsWWF: 0 Win

pakonruff: 2 Win

Ritchardo: 1 Win

RKOwnage: 5 Wins

Smasher1311: 4 Wins

TeflonBilly: 4 Wins

TheZies: 0 Win

tj0001: 1 Win

Trell: 1 Win

wekka: 1 Win

Practically everyone was thrown for a curve with the Heat losing, but remember, everybody gets one... right Spider-Man? The tide turns a bit as RKOwnage moves into the lead! Remember, this contest lasts until the new in-game year, so plenty of time for everyone to get in more wins! I hope to have the next Hotline up tonight yet, but it may be tomorrow evening at latest. I think I'm going to start with having names for my shows; forgive me, I've been watching TNA :p Not sure if I'll go back and retroactively gave out any, but I may if I get bored sometime. Hope the show was worth the wait - I dunno about you, but I'm pumped for WrestleWar to get here now!

Finally, much much MUCH thank you to all who voted for me in the DOTM this month. I'm so honored to have gotten a win under my belt after only a few months. WE DID IT!!

I didn't see the Dusty turn coming (well, I did as soon as he came out, but it never occured to me before that.) I really liked the info we got on this show, how Dusty was trying to protect his son, etc. Not only did it answer some long-standing questions, but it made this turn feel more organic. The fact that he was still trying to look out for Dustin despite his double dealings is a nice touch, and makes him come across as an actual human being rather than a one dimensional wrestling villain.

I think the stips for that triple threat gave that away. :p TNA doesn't still name their TV shows, do they?

I figure if at some point I get around to making a list in the first post about all the shows I've done, then names will make it easier to categorize.</p>
