Just wanted to drop a line and first of all say wow, 100 replies in this topic? I'm glad my project has gotten so many people around it, and who knows, maybe this time around we can get DOTM? ;)

I also wanted to say that for a change, I'm actually way ahead of my own type of schedule with Fall Brawl, and it should be posted by tomorrow night. So for those who are following but haven't predicted yet, you should get those in.

I deleted my post about changing my prediction contest a bit, but I still plan to do so - I'm just still trying to figure out a way to make it better. But I will still hold true to what I said - the winner on a ppv will get a small prize.

Already predicted:

WCW Fall Brawl 1994

WCW Fall Brawl 1994

Announcers: Tony Schiavone and Jesse "The Body" Ventura

Held at: Fargodome (mid-west)

Attendance: 27,173

PPV Buys: 2.88

Rating: B+

After Schiavone and Ventura welcome us to the show, we go to WCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel in the ring. He says that he has an unfortunate job for the evening, and that is to say that there are some problems going on with the main event for the evening. Bockwinkel says that due to what happened at the end of WCW Saturday Night with "Guardian Angel" Bubba Rogers, Hollywood Hogan has told him that he refuses to put the title on the line tonight against Ric Flair in a cage match.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan2.jpg

The crowd boos loudly at that announcement, as "Voodoo Child" by Jimi Hendrix brings out Hogan himself. He says that Nick is right - an act like that is nothing more than two people trying to actively maim another human being, and he isn't going to stand for Flair and Arn's actions to go unpunished! The fans are really unhappy about this, but Hogan is unapologetic. Bockwinkel says that if there is no way we can reach an understanding, then he's going to have to book another match in a hurry to make up the main event of the show, as he doesn't want these fans going home without the best action he can give them.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RicFlair.jpg

"Also Sprach Zarathrusta" blares over the arena, as "Nature Boy" Ric Flair comes to the top of the aisle! Flair gets a microphone and says that maybe he and Arn took things a little too far, as Tony Schiavone mentions that the KoW have been tight-lipped about the condition of Bubba Rogers, but they understand he will be out of action for a while. Flair says that he caught something that commissioner Bockwinkel said though, and that was how "Hogan refuses to put the title on the line against Ric Flair in a cage match". Flair says that he is so confident in himself, that he knows he can do what Hogan can not and has never done - defeat someone twice in one night. Flair says that he knows he doesn't, but if Hogan has the guts, then he should walk that aisle and put the title on the line.... in a two out of three falls match! Hollywood looks disinterested, but Flair persists, saying that the bragging rights would be immense, that everyone would be talking about it forever - even the bigwigs in Hollywood itself! Flair goads Hogan more, buttering up the idea about how huge the match will be then, and Hogan finally agrees! Nick Bockwinkel agrees with the decision, and it's decided! The crowd are not pleased due to the change in format, but the match will still be going on tonight! The two have a lengthy staredown, until they go to the back to prepare for their match later.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BrianPillman.jpg vs. http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RonSimmons.jpg

No countout, no disqualifications - Flyin' Brian vs. Ron Simmons

Simmons immediately rushes Brian, the stipulations letting him want to be just as mean and nasty as he wants to his smaller foe. Simmons starts up with all manner of power moves, throwing Pillman around like a ragdoll. He lifts him high overhead and drops him with a gorilla press slam, and then charges, clotheslining Brian over the top rope to the floor! But much like last month, Brian's reserve can never be understated; when Simmons comes out of the ring and moves in for the kill, Brian grabs Simmons by the tights and pulls him face first into the guardrail! Brian takes over for awhile, as he takes Ron into the ringpost before sending him into the ring. Brian gets to the top rope and flies high, drilling Ron with a missile dropkick for a two count!

It's unfortunate that the crowd are still kinda bummed about the announcement earlier tonight, as this match would have been so much better with more people behind it. Brian sends Simmons into the corner and runs in to hit a clothesline, then leaps to the middle rope for a crossbody. Simmons is reeling, and Brian takes time.... to turn his camera reel? Jesse Ventura notes that Brian has been showing shades of the "Hollywood Blond" in this match, and Tony says that maybe he's trying to show off for Hollywood Hogan. It comes back to bite him however, as he takes flight for Air Pillman and Simmons moves out of the way! Flyin' Brian crashes to the mat, and Simmons picks him up. He fires Brian into the ropes and heaves him up, looking for a spinebuster, but Brian wriggles loose, grabs Ron's head, and falls backwards into a small package - Mickey Jay is right there, and Brian holds on for the three count! Flyin' Brian has pinned the huge former All-American!

Winner: Flyin' Brian

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Sting.jpg

As Brian's generic music plays (he hasn't gotten anything new yet), none other than Sting comes out to the ring! Simmons shakes his head and leaves without a scene, as Sting slides into the ring. He walks over to Flyin' Brian, and he raises his hand in victory, giving him adulation for his big win!

Johnny B. Badd can be seen backstage throwing shadow punches, as Gordon Solie is there to get a few words with his manager Teddy Long. Long says that everyone needs to listen up and listen good, Johnny B. Badd is ready to go out there and put some hurtin' on that loudmouth Page, and after that, he's coming for gold, no matter what gold it is. He says that he has Badd on track mentally and physically, and nothing and nobody is gonna stand in his way anymore.

Johnny B. Badd w/Teddy Long vs. Diamond Dallas Page w/The Diamond Doll

DDP takes over early with some cheap tactics, notably pulling Badd's hair during a lockup. Johnny fights back with punches each time, gaining more and more ground until Page makes a tactical error and Badd strikes hard and fast, hitting the somersault plancha to the outside! DDP goes back to his cheating again though, and the Stud Stable member gains what should have been a win when he ducks under a clothesline and drops Badd with the Diamond Cutter! His showboating nature costs him, as he looks to his Diamond Doll to hold up the "10" card for him, but she seems to be unable to find it. DDP goes over and starts to yell at her for the incomeptence, and when he turns around he's met by the Kiss that Don't Miss! Page goes down hard, and Badd falls on top for the win!

Winner: Johnny B. Badd

Rating: C+

Teddy Long is ecstatic as he climbs into the ring and raises Badd's hand in victory. DDP groggily rolls out of the ring, the Doll apologizing profusely as they make their way behind the curtain. Badd showboats for the crowd some, popping off an extra Badd Blaster that Long brings him. They finally head toward the back themselves, celebrating and slapping hands with fans all along the way. But one person ruins the celebration...

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/SteveAustin.jpg

Stunning Steve comes out of nowhere and clotheslines Badd down! Johnny is still worn down after the match, as Austin strikes from behind! Long tries to do something, but Austin pushes him away, before smashing Johnny with the United States title belt! Austin puts a foot on Badd's chest and holds the belt overhead, laughing as he raises his other arm like he won something.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff w/Jimmy Hart

"A match between two veterans of the sport, who have seen it all and want what could be one last taste," Tony proclaims during the entrances. And that is almost exactly what we see, as the two go toe-to-toe with some rather vicious brawling right out of the gates. Orndorff's strengths don't lie so much in his fists as they do his mind, however, and for most of the match he takes his time in outsmarting Duggan at most turns. Jesse outright calls Hacksaw a "dimwit" at one point, saying that while he doesn't support the KoW, Duggan has let this business matter become personal, and it's costing him advantages. A key moment of the match features Duggan setting up for his three point stance, but Orndorff slips out of the way, causing Duggan to smash into the turnbuckle pads. It's all downhill from there, as Orndorff works the head and neck area with various chinlocks and snapmares. Duggan rallies again toward the end, but when he goes for the Old Glory Kneedrop, The Butcher emerges and stands outside the ring, stealing Duggan's 2x4! Duggan is taken completely out of his game, and Orndorff catches Duggan with the jumping piledriver to get the three.

Winner: "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff

Backstage, Eric Bischoff welcomes "Nature Boy" Ric Flair as his guest, and asks him for a few words about his match tonight with Hollywood Hogan. Flair says that while he doesn't agree with how Hogan weasled his way out of the cage, he looks forward to sealing the story off when he defeats Hogan twice tonight. Flair says that as soon as he has the World Heavyweight title back around his waist, it's gonna be "time to get the limos in line, cause it'll be party time! Wooo!"

Losing team must split up - Stars 'n Stripes vs. Lord Steven Regal and Sir William

Lord Regal starts out in the ring with Marcus Bagwell, and Bagwell's youthful exuberance puts him in the lead quickly. But the fast-paced action takes it's toll on him, as Regal fights through it and comes back with his own brand of European mat wrestling. Ventura screams of how this is completely unfair, as Bagwell and Patriot are two well-conditioned athletes, and not taking anything away from his Lordship, he's teaming with a man who has been a butler for years. Regal does what he can, but Bagwell tags out to Patriot, and it all starts over again. Regal is still confident in himself though, and he fights on, refusing to tag out. As the match wears on though, the two men get the better of the one, and Regal starts really taking some punishment, until the point that he has to tag out. Sir William comes in, but he's quickly overcome by the Stars 'n Stripes, and Bagwell gets the pin after a crossbody to break up the master and servant, at least as WCW is concerned.

Winners: Stars 'n Stripes

We head backstage to Mean Gene Okerlund, who is standing by with Harlem Heat. They talk about how it makes them mad to not have a match at the show tonight, but they do know that they get a guaranteed World Tag Team title shot in the future, and that makes them feel just fine. They leave the thought on how the Nasty Boys probably aren't looking past their match tonight, but they should, cause if they don't take the Heat serious, they gon' get burnt real bad.

Battle Royal for the WCW United States Tag Team championships

The Rock 'n Roll Express, The Playboys, Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce, The Armstrong Brothers, The State Patrol, Bad Attitude, Bunkhouse Buck and Terry Funk, The Rising Sons, The Young Pistols, The Heavenly Bodies

All twenty men are in the ring, and the bell sounds. Tony says that this is standard battle royal rules, eliminations occuring when a wrestler is thrown over the top and both feet hit the floor. He says that total team elimination occurs when both members have been eliminated. Terry Funk is immediately a house of fire, hitting everything that moves, very nearly including his own partner in that list. He clotheslines out Buddy Lee Parker, as there is a huge brawl going on between the Armstrong Brothers and the big Texans, Slazenger and Pierce. Bad Attitude double team the Playboys, as the Rising Sons sit back and hit people as they come near. Steve Keirn is one of the next to go, as he gets jettisoned by Robert Gibson, and Scott Stud is ejected by the Heavenly Bodies. Terry Funk gets back in the headlines again as he takes advantage of the fight going on between the Stud Stable and his fellow Texans, and he wriggles his way into eliminating all four of them! James Earl Wright goes out without much fanfare, as Tracy Smothers gets caught between the Rising Sons. Bobby Eaton fights on without his partner, and eliminates Steve Armstrong.

The RNR and the Bodies have found one another and are putting on a small display in one side, meanwhile Tracy Smothers and Bobby Eaton are trying to throw one another out. Bunkhouse Buck gets a little too close, and he ends up going out! Terry Funk yells at him from in the ring, calling him a "worthless dog!" Funk tosses Smothers out, as the RNR and Rising Sons come upon one another. This will one day be a very athletic, fast-paced match, but not today as Hayabusa ends up making the mistake of trying to go high-risk and getting tripped and shoved out. Hakushi soon follows as Morton and Gibson propel him with a double dropkick. As they high five one another, Dr. Tom Prichard sneaks in and tosses out Gibson! Morton attacks, but he gets beaten down in the corner by both of the Bodies. Terry Funk and Terry Taylor fight in the corner, with Bobby Eaton taking a quick breather elsewhere. Taylor breaks off and comes over to help Morton in his two on one situation, and he pays for it with an elmination. Terry Funk comes over and joins with the Bodies to send Morton into the ropes, but Morton reverses, just as Bunkhouse Buck from the outside was trying to pull down the top rope - he pulls it down, and Terry Funk goes over!

As Funk yells at Buck, telling him to "Get the hell away from me!", Morton squares off with the Heavenly Bodies. They get the upper hand, being two on one, and send him to the ropes. The Bodies lift him up for the double flapjack, but of all the people, Beautiful Bobby comes to Ricky Morton's aid! He decks Del Ray, and Morton wriggles his way into hitting a DDT on Prichard! It's the final four, and it's a wild brawl that's broken out into a tag team match! Eaton and Morton work together, and their extensive knowledge of one another pays off. Morton climbs to the top, and Eaton grabs him, hurling him as a Rocket Launcher right into a top rope dropkick to both of the Bodies! Eaton grabs Del Ray and starts trying to toss him out, as Morton punches Prichard. Ricky goes over to where Eaton and Del Ray are, and he helps push but "The Gigolo" has wrapped himself in the ropes. Bobby now goes after Prichard, and he looks like he wants to eliminate him, but he doesn't get the chance as Del Ray comes over and attacks - but Eaton back drops him out! Bobby turns and tells him that he'll "never replace Sweet Stan!", but just about then Prichard comes up from behind with a savate kick that puts him against the ropes, before tossing him.

But wait! A big surprise dropkick, and Dr. Tom is on the ropes! Morton scrambles to his feet, and just a little push puts him in the winner's column tonight! The Rock 'n Roll Express win the United States Tag Team titles!

Winner: Ricky Morton (Rock 'n Roll Express)

Last eliminated: Dr. Tom Prichard

Finalists: Bobby Eaton, Jimmy Del Ray

Most Eliminations: Terry Funk

Ric Flair is backstage warming up for his match, taping up his wrists, when his cousin and/or best friend and partner Arn Anderson comes in. "Double A" tells Flair that he is a little worried about this match, as now that it isn't a cage it means anyone can slip in and cost him the match. Flair says that he already talked to Bockwinkel, and Nick has told Flair that anyone around ringside except for The Queen, who is Hogan's assigned manager, and they'll be indefinitely suspended - no matter if it's a member of the KoW, a stray fan, a family member, or Nick himself! Anderson says that should be fine, as long as everyone holds up on it. He tells Flair good luck, and Flair says that Arn will need it too, with the plans he and Dustin have. Anderson says that there won't be a problem, as we head elsewhere.

"Gamesmaster" Kevin Sullivan w/Dave Sullivan vs. Cactus Jack

This one is not a pretty match by any means, as the two of them brawl with one another from bell to bell. It spills out of the ring, then back into it, then out, and in again, as the fight commences with two men who know how to do it. The two take every ounce of punishment the other can dish out, and keep fighting back at one another, getting more and more severe on one another. Evad stays out of the way for his own safety, and a Cactus clothesline sends them back outside. They fight so viciously and furiously that they roll on top of the commentary table! Cactus gets the upper hand... when the bell rings? Brady Boone had counted both men out!

We head backstage until the area gets cleared out, where Hollywood Hogan is talking with Roddy Piper about the main event tonight. A knock comes to the door, and Hogan says he can't stand seeing that chrome-dome Okerlund right now, so he leaves the room out another door. But it's not Okerlund...

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BrianPillman.jpg

It's Flyin' Brian, who tells Piper that he wants to talk to Hogan. Piper shakes his head and tells him to "get out of here, kid" and that nobody is watching his matches, nobody is letting a nobody like him into the KoW, and most of all, nobody cares. Piper prepares to slam the door in his face, but it's too much for Pillman to stand this time, and he rushes in the door, punching Piper! Brian and Piper stumble over an endtable, the two brawling with one another until Hogan comes out and shoves Brian off of Piper. Security start to rush in, as we cut back out to the ring.

The Nasty Boys and Meng are in the ring, as Arn Anderson and Dustin Rhodes come out. Jesse wonders aloud if they even got a third partner, and Dusty says that if they don't, he'll be glad to get in there. They get down next to the ring, and Anderson's music fades. They stand there for a moment, before looking back toward the entrance again....

The Nasty Boys and Meng w/Jimmy Hart vs. Arn Anderson, Dustin Rhodes, and Ricky Steamboat

Dustin starts out in the ring with Meng. The two have been warring intently, and now that they can get their hands on one another legally, they rush one another with punches and kicks. Rhodes tries to hook on a headlock, but Meng shoves him into the ropes. Dustin ducks a savate kick, and he hits a big dropkick! Meng is rocked, and Dustin follows up by punching him into "The Natural's" own corner. After locking in an arm wringer, Rhodes tags out to "Double A" who comes in with an axehandle to Meng's shoulder. Arn follows up the attack by putting on his own armbar, but Meng uses the side of his other palm to thrust Anderson in the throat, before making a tag of his own to Knobs. Knobs comes rushing forward, but Arn ducks the clothesline and powerslams him down on the rebound! Mickey Jay gets a two count, and "the Enforcer" goes to work on the shoulder of Knobs now. He hooks an armbar and digs his knee into Brian's ribs, but releases the hold when Sags comes in to make himself known. But then Dustin comes running in and hits Sags with a scoop slam! Meng comes in, but with a roar of the crowd comes "The Dragon"! Steamboat hits the ring and starts chopping Meng, and the battle of chops gets the crowd heated up! Dustin comes in and the two start hammering away on Meng, forcing him back, as Anderson hip tosses Knobs out of the ring. Sags joins him soonafter, and Steamboat clotheslines Meng over the top before "skinning the cat" back into the ring! Mickey Jay is trying to restore order, but the crowd are going crazy for the three men in the ring!

As the match wears on, Jimmy Hart injects himself into the equation by tripping Rhodes from the outside, and then Dustin finds himself trapped in the KoW's corner, and often double and sometimes even triple teamed by his foes. The Nasty Boys use their horrid offense to keep him down, and Meng is always right there with savate kicks and chops for big impact. The veterans on the corner are forced to simmer and watch as their young teammate is getting pulverized and tortured in all manner of chinlocks and nerve holds. Dustin very nearly makes a tag to Anderson, but Hart had Mickey Jay's attention, and he didn't see it! Sags ends up blowing the advantage however when he sends Rhodes into the corner but missses on his charge, as Dustin got out of the way and then hits a running bulldog! Both men make the long crawl to their corners, and as Sags tags in Meng, Rhodes makes the tag to Steamboat! Ricky comes in and starts cleaning house, and it becomes a pier-six brawl as everyone gets involved! Anderson and Knobs fall to the outside, as Steamboat knocks Sags to the floor as well, leaving only Dustin and Meng in the ring. Meng hooks on the Tongan death grip, but Rhodes proves that he's been learning from Flair and Anderson - he hits a low blow! Meng relinquishes the hold, but as he turns around, "The Dragon" flies off the top and hits a huge crossbody! Steamboat stays on as Dustin turns Mickey Jay around, and he - along with the crowd - counts the three!

Winners: Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes, & "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson

Sting vs. The Great Muta w/Sonny Onoo

The two start the match by circling one another, as Muta throws errant kicks just to keep Sting off his guard. They lock up, and Muta shows instantly that he has no interest in playing fair as he thumbs Sting in the eye! Referee Randy Anderson tries to admonish him, but Muta doesn't listen, instead keeping the attack going. Muta stays in control for awhile, but Sting never stays down for long, always popping back up to surprise him with a flurry of offense, before Muta cheats back to the advantage again. The match goes on like that for awhile, until Muta goes for the moonsault and only gets Sting's knees to his midsection! Sting rallies behind the support of all his Little Stingers and smashes Muta with two consecutive Stinger Splashes, before locking on the Scorpion Deathlock to get the submission victory.

Sting celebrates for the crowd, having put his old foe to rest, but he doesn't get long to do so when Vader comes out and hits the ring! He smashes Sting into the corner, and hammers away on him with vicious punches to the midsection. He splashes down onto Sting's ribs, both on his front and his back, before lifting him up with a powerbomb! Vader takes the microphone and says that if Sting knows what's best for him, he'll admit that he's part of the Kings of Wrestling; but if he doesn't, then he'll meet Vader at Halloween Havoc, in a thirty minute Iron Man match!

WCW World Heavyweight championship - Two out of Three Falls match

Hollywood Hogan w/The Queen vs. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair

The match starts with a slight feeling-out process, and the crowd buzzes with anticipation. They lock up and then all hell breaks loose, as Hogan shoves Flair, and Flair follows with a flurry of chops! Hogan punches his way back, and they're just going toe-to-toe right off the bat! Neither man really takes over, and the momentum swings between the two for the entirety of the first fall. Flair begins a process of working over Hogan's knees, but all the while Hogan is hitting Flair's back. Tony says how this goes back to when Flair broke his back, as Hogan latches on an abdominal stretch. Hollywood does all the damage he can, but "The Nature Boy" doesn't relent whatsoever. Flair goes to the top, but it ends up being his undoing as Hogan throws him to the mat, and hits a surprising leg drop and quickly covers to win the first fall.

After a thirty second rest period, Flair knows that it's do or die time for him - just imagine if Hogan gets two straight falls! The Queen screeches from the outside that Hogan has to get him, but her cries are muffled quickly when Flair trips Hogan and starts putting even harsher pressure on the knees than before. Losing fall one has lit a fire under Flair, and he unleashes all he's got on Hogan's legs. Hollywood tries to form a strategy by going out under the ropes, but Flair follows and chopblocks him! Flair sends Hogan into the ring, and he slaps on the figure four before Hogan can even think about it! Hollywood is smart though, and without being in the hold for any long amount of time, he submits - saving himself by letting it to go the next rest period.

Nick Patrick tells Flair he has to release the hold, but he has to threaten disqualification before Flair finally does so! The two men separate to their respective corners for the rest period, but Flair tries to jump the gun, rushing in on Hogan twice before again having to be threatened! Jesse says that Flair is getting way too emotional, "The Nature Boy" is best when he's calm and collected. Flair finally waits out the time period, and he comes in to get Hogan, but takes an eye rake when he gets close! Hogan hobbles after him, and starts in with multiple back rakes and punches before sending Flair to the outside. Hogan comes out, but Flair is ready with a sharp left hook! Hogan starts trying to get away, and Flair is on his heels! Until Hollywood throws The Queen right in Flair's path! Ric tells her to move, but she won't budge - she tries to slap Flair, but he catches her hand! What he doesn't catch is Hogan's axe handle to the back, as Hogan used the distraction to go under the ring and come out behind Flair; and when Queen moves, Hogan bodyslams Flair down on the hard floor! Hogan pulls up the mat and threatens to piledrive Flair on the concrete floor! Tony screams that Hogan will stop short of nothing just to keep the belt and the KoW on top, just as Flair reverses by lifting Hogan up - and he staggers forward before dropping Hogan's knee on the ringside steps! Flair is back on his game, and he shoots Hogan into the ring! Flair hits a pinpoint kneedrop and goes for a cover; Hogan kicks out, and his eyes are wide! The sound of the crowd's loud, furious boos drives him on, as Hollywood "Hulks Up" in center ring! Tony says he'd never ever imagine that he'd have seen this, the fans booing all over the "Hulk Up" but here it is. Hogan hits Flair with the three punches and sends him to the ropes, but Flair catches the big boot! Flair trips Hogan while he's off-balance and locks in the figure four! This time Hogan knows he can't take the easy way out, and he desperately holds on! The Queen screams from outside, yelling encouragement all the way as Hogan tries to inch his way toward the ropes. Flair applies all the pressure he can, as Hogan keeps crawling.... and Queen is right there, behind Nick Patrick's back she pushes the bottom rope closer to Hogan's outstretched hand! Flair releases, but he pulls Hogan back to the center and tries to hook him again, but Hollywood reaches up and pulls Flair into a small package! Patrick is right there - he gets a three count! The Queen jumps up and down at ringside, and in a classic match for the ages, Hollywood Hogan has done it! He's presented with the spraypainted World championship, as Tony signs off from Fall Brawl '94!

Winner and STILL WCW World Heavyweight champion: Hollywood Hogan

WCW Hotline: September 1994, Week 4

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWHotline.jpg

WCW Hotline; September Week 4, 1994

Press 1 for WCW Halloween Havoc control center!

Press 2 for information regarding WCW and NJPW!

Press 3 for someone leaving WCW!

Press 4 for WCW Saturday Night preview!

Press 5 for last week's ratings breakdown!

Press 6 for backstage information out of Fall Brawl!

Press 8 for WWF Monday Night Raw results!

Press 9 for a WCW Catalog gift!

Option 1: WCW Halloween Havoc '94 control center!

No matches have been officially announced at this present time, however Vader has laid out the challenge to Sting for a thirty minute iron man match! We'll have more to announce in the future, just keep calling the WCW Hotline or watching on WCW programming!

Option 2: Trade routes between WCW and NJPW!

Both Ricky Steamboat and Terry Funk have finished their dates with New-Japan, though The Great Muta still has one more appearance for WCW. When will this mystical superstar appear next?

Option 3: A fond goodbye from World Championship Wrestling!

Bunkhouse Buck's contract has expired; WCW officials opted not to renew it, and so he will be plying his trade elsewhere. We wish Jimmy Golden all the best in his future!

Option 4: WCW Saturday Night preview!

Fall Brawl is behind us now, and that means it's time for Halloween Havoc to roll around again! However, there is still one more Saturday Night in September, and just as the final leaves are falling, the action gets hotter than ever! "The Dragon" Ricky Steamboat made his shocking return as the mystery partner of Arn Anderson and Dustin Rhodes, and it looks like he wants to breathe fire on the Kings of Wrestling! Hollywood Hogan is set to be in the Pyramid Arena, so what will the KoW have to say about it?

Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson were the surviving team coming out of the battle royal at Fall Brawl, and they are to be presented with their newly won WCW United States Tag Team championships!

Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel has been busy, as he says there will be two championship bouts on Saturday Night! One will see Stunning Steve Austin defend his United States title against "Double A" Arn Anderson, but as for the other, he's been tight-lipped; all we know is, that Lord Steven Regal will defend his Television championship against "a more than worthy opponent"! What could that mean? And what does that mean for his Lordship, now that he's lost his backup in Sir William?

"Hot Rod' Roddy Piper is said to have been very vocal as of late. What will this mean? Is he going to call someone out on television?

Also, Harlem Heat, Vader, Cactus Jack takes on Ron Simmons, and more! Be sure to tune in at 6:05 ET to TBS, the Superstation!

WCW World Television championship: Lord Steven Regal vs. ???

Vader vs. Terry Taylor

The Young Pistols vs. Harlem Heat

Option 5: Last week's ratings recap!

The ratings went threw the roof for WCW Saturday Night in the lead-up to Fall Brawl! An impressive 7.45! Meanwhile, on WWF's last show before In Your House, they too went up, netting a 5.91. WCW Main Event had a respectable 0.56.

Option 6: Backstage news out of WCW Fall Brawl!

A scoop for those of you who called into the WCW Hotline: World Championship Wrestling were blocked the day of Fall Brawl by our pay-per-view providers from Mexico from being able to put on the scheduled cage match, leading to the two-out-of-three falls match instead. Backstage, locker room leader Harley Race had words after the show. He told Ric Flair that his performance was nothing short of "awesome", and he also praised Hulk Hogan for how he held up his end of the match. He also pointed out Paul Orndorff, citing him as proof that no matter how old you get, you're always able to impress. All three men were quite pleased. Before the show even took place, there was a prankster about - Tony Schiavone pulled a huge rib on Hulk Hogan. It was deemed to be in poor taste though, and Schiavone was fined for the incident.

Option 8: "The Other Guys"

WWF In Your House was highlighted by what was ALMOST the match of the year, as Bret Hart defeated his brother Owen to retain the WWF World title. Our World title match was just slightly better, though. That tells the tale of everything that happened this past weekend - the WWF did good, but WCW did just that little bit better. No titles changed hands at IYH. The following night's Raw taping, on the other hand, was back to same old, same old, as Yokozuna sat on the Undertaker and Bret Hart beat Diesel. They were fine matches, but hey, "fine" is how WCW Saturday Night gets warmed up!

Option 9: A gift from the WCW Catalog!

Send a copy of your cable provider with the purchase of WCW Fall Brawl to receive a whopping 35% off the new Kings of Wrestling spraypaint logo t-shirt! Get them fast, before this deal runs out!

This Saturday Night will be the last one that I do like this, but there's 5 points up there waiting to be grabbed.

Wow, congrats on the A* match! I'm still in pursuit of one of those. :o

Another strong PPV. I expected Hulk to win, but it was a surprise that it was relatively cleanly (aside from Sunn-err, Queen helping him get to the ropes.)

Pillman showing signs of the Blonds is interesting, as is his taking a shot at Piper.

Another great show. It was interesting to say the least. Is their trouble brewing with Terry Funk and Buckhouse Buck? Bobby Eaton helping out the Rock "n" Roll Express? What in the hell is going on with Brian Pillman? So many questions making what to read the next show. So great job.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I like seeing that I have you scratching your heads a bit with Pillman! As you just saw, the trouble for Funk and Buck was actually just a way to write him away; I just couldn't foresee anything to do with him on a roster like I'm bolstering right now, especially with the plans I have in mind. The win for Hogan would have gone a bit differently had it been the cage match, but the momentum Flair nabbed in having an A* match certainly made up for the loss! And oh yeah, I got an A* match!!!

Funny thing, like I said in the Hotline, In Your House (Sep.) and Fall Brawl '94 were VERY similar shows. I always use both grades and numbers, though I only throw grades at you all. Bret vs Owen scored a 96, the show itself was an 87, the buyrate a 2.28. Hogan vs Flair was a 98, the show was an 89, and the buyrate a 2.88. The only thing their show had better was the attendance.

And thanks to TeflonBilly, I hope you decide to stick around!

WCW Television - September 1994, Week 4

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWSaturdayNight.png

WCW Saturday Night

Announcers: Tony Schiavone, Bobby Heenan, and Dusty Rhodes

Held at: The Pyramid Arena (south east)

Attendance: 14,055

Rating: B

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RickySteamboat.jpg

The show opens with a video, which shows highlights from the NWA and WCW career of Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. "Sirius" plays over them, and it ends with an image of Steamboat with the World Heavyweight championship over his shoulder, and it says over it "The Dragon rises again!"

Rating: B-

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RonSimmons.jpg vs. http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/CactusJack.jpg

Ron Simmons vs. Cactus Jack

A really good wild brawl to open the show, as both of these men are masters of that style. Simmons is after some momentum again after his loss at Fall Brawl, but it's not happening here as Jack's relentless assault is just too much. After a slugfest, Cactus is able to get the lead and put Ron away with the double arm DDT.

Winner: Cactus Jack

Rating: B-

After the match, Ron Simmons leaves in a huff, as Cactus Jack gets a microphone. He kneels in the ring against the ropes and screams "Sullivaaan.... SULLIVAAN!! I'm not satisfied with you getting away without having me handed you your head!! SULLIVAAAAN!! I THINK.... that we need to try this again, at Halloween Havoc."

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/KevinSullivan2.jpg

Cactus is surprised when Kevin Sullivan actually answers him, coming out to the entrace. Sullivan shakes his head, and he says that it doesn't matter what Jack wants - his words were very clear, he got a one on one match with Sullivan, and there was to be only that one. Kevin says that it was written into the contract in that exact fashion, and that's how it will remain, no matter how much Cactus may try to provoke him; and besides, he's already trying to secure a match for the US Tag Team titles to bring those to the KoW for Halloween Havoc. Cactus is just going to have to find someone else to go bother. "The Gamesmaster" smiles as he disappears behind the curtain again, as Cactus looks on... with determination.

Backstage, Lord Steven Regal is drinking his tea, when Sir William approaches, downtrodden. Regal cuts him off before he can even say anything, and his Lordship chides his now former partner in crime, saying that if Sir William couldn't even hold his own against the likes of Marcus Bagwell and The Patriot, then he isn't worthy of holding his Lord's teapots. Sir William is in shock, as Lord Regal tells him that his services will no longer be required, whether it be in WCW or in his mansion! William gets on his knees to try and beg for Regal's mercy, but Lord Regal slaps him away, throwing the rest of the tea in his face, and walks off!

The Young Pistols vs. Harlem Heat

Smothers and Armstrong put up quite the spirited fight, as they know a win here could propel them far ahead into the rankings. But spirit only gets one so far against two tough-as-nails fighters like Harlem Heat, and as the match wears on, we see that more and more. The fast-paced attack from the Pistols doesn't hold up as long as the methodical pace of the Heat, and after they've exhausted themselves, Armstrong is easy pickings for the Big Apple Blast and the pinfall.

Lord Steven Regal is shown backstage again, this time entering the office of WCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel. Bockwinkel says that he's been pleased with Regal as WCW's World Television champion, as he does bring some level of class to all his matches. However, he says that he cannot, for one, let Regal's actions earlier tonight go unpunished, as Sir William didn't deserve any treatment like that. And for another point, Regal has not defended his title within the past thirty days, and as Television champion he is held to a higher standard than that. Regal says that he'll take on any ruffian that Bockwinkel puts in his place, and Nick says that he intends to do just that, as tonight he will face someone who may not have impressed Hollywood Hogan last night, but he impressed Nick himself, and that's Flyin' Brian! Lord Regal is surprised, but he regains his composure, saying that he'll see Brian later tonight.

"Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" brings out Hollywood Hogan to the aisle, and he talks about how it's becoming more and more obvious that the KoW are the strongest force in wrestling, brother. He says that Hollywood is stronger than ever, and now that Flair is out of his way, and we all know now who the better man is and has always been, it's time to move on... perhaps he should go home until WCW can dream up another supposed "challenger" for him?

We go from the World Heavyweight champion to the United States Heavyweight champion, as Stunning Steve Austin is backstage with Mean Gene. Gene first scolds Austin about his actions last week at Fall Brawl, attacking Johnny B. Badd, to which Austin merely laughs; he says that Badd needed to be brought back down to earth after he scored that "fluke win" over DDP. Austin goes on to say that while Badd is probably going to be handed another title match in the near future, Austin is looking ahead, and what's on his plate tonight is "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Austin says that unlike a lot of guys out there, he does hold some level of respect for Arn, but that's only because he's impressed someone of his age could be still going strong instead of sitting in the nursing home! Arn may be looking to add the US title to his list of achievements, but instead Austin will be adding his name to the list of men who's brush with greatness is over!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/PaulOrndorff.jpg

Van Zant brings out "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, and he enters the ring to say that he wants no hard feelings with Jim Duggan. He says that he had to prove himself again to the KoW, and now that he's back in their good graces, he wants to bury the hatchet, and shake Duggan's hand, for being such a worthy opponent at Fall Brawl.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/JimDuggan.jpg

"Hacksaw" comes out, armed with his 2x4, clearly a bit wary. Duggan grabs the microphone and says that he doesn't know what Orndorff is playing at, but he does agree that they had a very good, hard-fought match at Fall Brawl, and if he's really just out here in good sportsmanship, then he'll shake his hand.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/kow.jpg

But just as the two are locked, Duggan is attacked from behind! The Butcher and the Sullivans snuck into the ring behind him, and they're beating him down. Butcher locks in a sleeperhold, as Orndorff walks away with a smile on his face. Once Duggan has been effectively "put to sleep", Kevin pulls out a spraypaint can, and Butcher tags Duggan's back with the KoW letters! Orndorff seems to be out of the picture, but I guess the KoW aren't quite done with Duggan yet, as we head to commercial break.

The Rock 'n Roll Express come out to the ring, and they say that as of earlier tonight, they have been officially awarded their WCW United States Tag Team championships. They say that now, all there is left is to rock and roll and party it up like it's 1985! But oddly, it isn't Bob Seger which plays the theme to their party...

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RoddyPiper.jpg

...but the "Green Hills of Tyrol" screeching out over the loudspeakers, bringing out "Hot Rod" Roddy Piper! Piper has a microphone and he says that while he's glad to see a team like the Express still winning titles this late into their career, he says that right now their celebration time is getting in the way of something more important - Piper! Morton and Gibson tell Piper that he's cutting in on their time, and that's not gonna fly, but Roddy sucker punches Gibson, before hitting Morton with the microphone! Piper pulls an object out of his jacket pocket, and he punches them both with it as well, and he uses it to beat down the champions! Piper laughs, as trainers come out to help the RNR Express to the back.

Meanwhile, Roddy Piper stays in the ring, and he says that now, he's happy to welcome people to the show - and his first thing he wants to talk about, is how big of a joke he's seen Ric Flair become. He says that Flair could have been a made man had he decided to take his place amongst the Kings, but instead, he chose to back the wrong horse! Roddy laughs, riling up the crowd with his antics as he continues badmouthing Flair.

That's until "The Nature Boy" comes out from the back! Flair gets in the ring, unafraid of Piper and his foreign objects. Flair tells Piper that if he came out here to rattle him, guess what - it didn't work! Flair says that while he's disappointed that he lost at Fall Brawl, he knows it's only a matter of time until "The Nature Boy" will ride to the top again! And Flair says that he'd be just as glad if he finds his road back to the top leading straight through Piper! The two legends of this sport drop their microphones and have a staredown in center ring, as the crowd murmer about the possibilities.

Mean Gene Okerlund is backstage, and he says that he had to go out of his way to find his guest at this time, and the camera pans down to show Flyin' Brian sitting on the concrete floor. He's looking down at his signed Hulk Hogan t-shirt, and as Gene asks him about his match tonight, Pillman almost isn't paying him any mind. Gene finally touches Brian's shoulder, which does get his attention, before asking him if he was surprised that Commissioner Bockwinkel gave him a Television title shot tonight. Brian smiles, a strange gleam in his eye, as he says he wasn't surprised - "besides, he's in on it." Gene tries to ask more, but Brian goes back to looking at the shirt in his hands, until Gene finally sends it out to the ring.

Vader w/Sonny Onoo vs. Terry Taylor

Do I really even need to write this up? The match only lasts about as long as it takes for Vader to bulldoze Taylor, then destroy him with a powerbomb. Vader pins him with one finger.

Winner: Vader

Rating: C

Vader gets a microphone and says that he has had no word on if Sting has accepted his challenge for Halloween Havoc. He says maybe he wasn't clear enough - he knows that if Sting doesn't answer his challenge, then he must be one of the KoW! Vader grunts that he'll show the world that Sting isn't the hero of WCW, instead he was one of the first to turn his back on everyone!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/DustinRhodes.jpg

Vader is interrupted by the voice of Dustin Rhodes, who comes out and says that he doesn't know what Vader has against Sting, but he knows that Sting has ALWAYS been there for WCW - the reason he hasn't gone after the Kings of Wrestling is because he's too busy fighting Vader and Onoo! Vader says that Dustin is sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, puppy dogs shouldn't bark at bulls! "The Natural" replies that Vader doesn't scare him, and if he's as big a bull as he thinks he is, then someone from Texas like Rhodes is just the person to speak up to him! Vader says alright then puppy dog, if he thinks he's so tough, then Vader will see him next week in the ring!

WCW World Television championship

Lord Steven Regal vs. Flyin' Brian

Regal is ready to defend his title against any normal man, but Brian hasn't been acting all that normally lately. Pillman fights erratically, and Regal tries to keep him down but at certain points, Brian outright breaks rules in order to regain the lead. His Lordship heads out of the ring to recollect himself, but Brian leaps out with a flipping plancha that wipes the champion out! Regal struggles back against the onslaught, but when he looks to the outside, no help is there - he manages to block Brian from leaping off the top turnbuckle, but Brian turns it around and hits a tornado DDT, getting the victory and his first championship in a year!

WCW United States championship

Stunning Steve Austin w/Col. Robert Parker vs. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson

Tony seemed optimistic that after the last title change, we could be seeing another one here, but Austin had other things in mind. It's not for lack of Anderson's trying though, as he throws all he's got into this match, working over Austin's arm like only a well-trained Anderson can. The punishment even gets to the point where Austin tries to hit the Stungun, but he can't lift Arn for it! Arn even takes a moment to punch The Colonel out, making sure he can't get in the way. Randy Anderson tries to keep Parker from rushing in to get his hands on Arn then, but that's when out of nowhere comes Meng! He smashes Arn with a savate kick, and then heads out of the ring. Austin shakes off the spinebuster he'd suffered and locks in That's a Wrap to get the win, thanks to Meng!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RickySteamboat.jpg

"Sirius" plays over the arena as Ricky Steamboat comes out to the ring. He gets a microphone and says that he went on a brief trip to Japan to refocus himself, and now that he did, he has one goal in mind: he will succeed where Ric Flair didn't last week at Fall Brawl, and at Halloween Havoc, he will wash the disrespectful spraypaint off the WCW World Heavyweight championship, when he wins it from Hollywood Hogan! Steamboat says that he stands for the tradition that Hogan and his gang of buddies are trying to spit on, but it's that tradition that will lead to their undoing, when "The Dragon" spews fire all over him!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan2.jpg

Hollywood comes out to the ring with a smirk on his face, and he looks Steamboat up and down. Hogan says that he remembers a time when Ricky was his second banana, the lesser man in a bigger pond. Hogan says he doesn't think Steamboat has done anything to earn any kind of title shot, so how about this; over the next month, he gets to run the gauntlet. He gets to start next week, with Mr. Wonderful, and if he puts on a good enough showing, then Hogan will THINK about sharing the ring with him again! Steamboat replies that he's never had a problem fighting for what he wants, and if Hogan throws the KoW at him, then he'll take them all down one by one, until he has Hogan himself on the mat for a three count! The show ends with "The Dragon" standing tall, having declared his intentions, but Hogan looking confident.

WCW Hotline: October 1994, Week 1

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWHotline.jpg

WCW Hotline; October 1994, Week 1

Press 1 for WCW Halloween Havoc '94 control center!

Press 2 for information on WCW international broadcasts!

Press 3 for another farewell from WCW!

Press 4 for WCW Saturday Night preview!

Press 5 for last week's ratings breakdown!

Press 7 for happy birthday wishes around WCW!

Press 8 for WWF Monday Night Raw results!

Press 9 for a special gift from the WCW Catalog!

Option 1: WCW Halloween Havoc control center!

We still have no word on whether or not Sting has accepted the challenge set forth by Vader, but we have one match set in stone, as announced on WCW Main Event: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan will face off with The Butcher! The challenge is also out on if Hollywood Hogan will square off with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. Stay tuned to WCW programming to find out more exciting matches!

Option 2: International news from backstage at WCW!

As we broke last week, the reason the cage match could not go on at Fall Brawl was due to Selección México not allowing it to be broadcast. Well it turns out telling WCW what to do does not fly, as they have effective immediately cancelled the remainder of their contract with the provider, and are looking to get a new one in place by Halloween Havoc!

Option 3: Farewell from WCW!

World Championship Wrestling have announced the release of Bill Dundee, a.k.a. Sir William.

Option 4: WCW Saturday Night preview!

The Man Called Sting will be on hand to not only answer the challenge from Vader, but also to take on the man who had a lot to say about him the past few weeks, Terry Funk! Also in store, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat faces his first test on his way to a potential match against Hollywood Hogan, as he faces off with "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff! If that wasn't a big enough card, especially when it's being shown on Saturday Night instead of on pay-per-view, "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes squares off with the monstrous Vader!

How can we make it better? How about if we add in the new World Television champion, Flyin' Brian! What's up with him? We hope to find out more this week! But he's also going to be in action, as he defends his TV title against "Pretty" Paul Roma!

The war between the Stud Stable and Johnny B. Badd heats up in a tag team match, as Stunning Steve Austin teams with Stable partner Diamond Dallas Page; Badd has scoured the WCW locker room, and he's picked "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright as his partner! Will the Studs get another victory over Badd, or can the young team of the Badd Man and the undefeated Wright get one over on them?

All this, and so much more - be sure to tune in to The Superstation at 6:05 ET for WCW Saturday Night!

Option 5: Ratings breakdown!

WCW Saturday Night shocked the world after Fall Brawl, when their follow-up show got a rating of 7.84! Why yes, that is our best rating since July on TBS! Monday Night Raw over on USA scored a paltry 5.96. WCW Main Event stayed strong with it's average 0.60.

Option 7: Happy birthday from the WCW Hotline!

This month, three people will have had a birthday pass. Dusty Rhodes, 49; Kevin Sullivan, 45; and Paul Orndorff, also 45. Sir William would have been as well, but Lord Regal gave him his walking papers for his birthday!

Option 8: What you're not missing!

Don't you hate a no contest in the main event? Well that's what happens on the October Week 1 taping of Monday Night Raw, as the potentially huge tag team match featuring Diesel and Shawn Michaels against Bret Hart and Razor Ramon became a bust. And that's just no fun, now is it?

Option 9: A special gift from the WCW Catalog!

At the end of last month, WCW Bash at the Beach 1994 was released on VHS Home Video! Complete with extra matches that only those live at the Rupp Arena saw, be sure to order now and get 10% off!

So The Final Countdown wins this contest as well. His prize for Fall Brawl was deciding the fate of Sir William, and he chose to release him instead of use him as a jobber. I'll PM you another prize shortly.

So here's my new prediction style, and I'll admit that I'm blatantly ripping off the style used by angel, only I got his permission. Instead of being tallied by number of matches, from here out you will be given "wins" when you can correctly predict the matches on a given Saturday Night card. PPVs will count in this but will also be given their own thing. This will make the contests longer, running for 3 or 4 months at a time instead of only one, and that will make it better for people who don't get in on every card, meaning anyone can get a better chance. This prediction contest will run from October week 1 until Starrcade at the end of December.

I've also added a box for comments for each match - fill them out if you want, if not then whatever. Also added fun fan signs, which I will try to work into each show writeup.

Hope you all enjoyed the first show heading into Havoc!

Wanted to drop in and say that I'm glad everyone's enjoying the comments part now, wasn't sure how many people would actually leave any! I have the show all written out, but I'm going to save it for tomorrow so that I can have time to work ahead a bit in the game. So I'm implementing the 24(ish) hour warning! Anyone else who wants to predict in the first show of the brand new contest has until tomorrow night to get in!

And this way, I'll be able to post the show and immediately follow up with the Hotline. That seems to be a good way for things to work out.

I'm also glad to see everyone commenting so highly on the idea of Hogan vs Steamboat. People talk about dream matches like Sting vs Taker or Andre vs Show, but I think this is one of wrestling's historic matches that never was which gets overlooked a lot. The two were always faces during Steamboat's time in the WWF, and when Hogan got to WCW, Steamboat had just suffered his career-ending injury. Obviously in this world, Ricky hasn't had that, and in fact he isn't even in time decline, so I'm hoping that "The Dragon" can have a good, long career in this game!

WCW Television - October 1994, Week 1

WCW Saturday Night

October 1994, Week 1

Announcers: Tony Schiavone, Bobby Heenan, and Dusty Rhodes

Held at: Roanoke Civic Center

Attendance: 10,000 (sold out!)

Rating: B+

"The Natural" Dustin Rhodes vs. Vader w/Sonny Onoo

The show starts off with Vader grunting his way to the ring, as Sonny Onoo snaps pictures on his disposable camera. As soon as Dustin hits the ring, it's a slugfest, with the big Vader using all his strength and intimidation skills to full ability, but the young son of Texas not backing down an inch. The two men put on a great contest with some good big man/little man with heart type of psychology, but eventually the heart gets beaten when the mind is distracted - Brian Knobs and Jerry Sags come out and distract "The Natural", and that leads to a powerbomb and pin. A sign goes up in the crowd that says "A Natural Jobbing!", and unfortunately for Rhodes, it was correct - all because of the Nasty Boys!

Winner: Vader

The Nasty Boys slide into the ring after Vader and Onoo leave, and they look as if they want to send a message to Dustin following the way their match went at Fall Brawl. But a surprising force comes out to rescue him!

Harlem Heat!!! Booker and Stevie rush the ring and send the Nastys packing now that the odds are on the other hand! Booker grabs a microphone and tells them that they were told by WCW officials that AS SOON AS The Nasty Boys were set foot back in WCW, the Heat would get their World Tag match - and it looks like the Nastys are in WCW tonight! Mickey Jay rushes out from the back, and he rings the bell on this impromptu championship match!

Rating: C

Notes: The Heat have turned face, and they went "pretty well", as neither man have a grade that sets the world on fire as a face....yet.

WCW World Tag Team championships

The Nasty Boys w/Jimmy Hart vs. Harlem Heat

As Jimmy Hart rushes to ringside to back his charges, the brawl is on! These are definitely not four men known for their technical acumen, and it shows here as a stark contrast to the last match; sure, Vader and Rhodes threw a lot of punches and brawled, but they have much more skill to back them up. This match is somewhat ugly, but hey, so are most of it's participants, am I right? The Nastys are obviously not prepared to have had a match tonight, and the Heat take full advantage, getting Knobs up and smashing him with the Big Apple Blast to score the pin!

Winners and NEW WCW World Tag Team champions: Harlem Heat

Rating: C-

As the Nasty Boys complain all the way to the back to referee Mickey Jay, the ring belongs to the Heat, who have been wrestling since 1989, and now they finally have a nationally recognized World Tag Team championship reign on their resume! Schiavone crows of how this is the first big win that WCW has had against the Kings of Wrestling, and he thanks Harlem Heat for giving it to them!

We head backstage, where Sting is there with Flyin' Brian. Though oddly, even as Sting is pumping Brian up, telling him how he was so proud that Pillman was able to win the TV belt last week, and how he always knew he could do it, Brian is stoic as he tapes his wrists, and the only words he seems to have to say at all to his "friend" is that he has to go out for his match now. Pillman picks up the title belt off the bench and walks off, leaving Sting perplexed. What's that all about?

Flyin' Brian vs. "Pretty" Paul Roma

On his way to the ring, Brian points out a sign held up that reads "Brian is Flying Pretty!" and indeed he does in this match, as Roma has really gotten out of sorts after the Pretty Wonderful team split up. He's lost pretty much every bit of traction that he had, and it shows here as Pillman just steamrolls him for the most part, ending the match with a jumping style tombstone piledriver. Dusty speculates that he's seen a lot of great Television champs, but from where he's sitting, he thinks Brian could be holding that belt for a long time to come yet, if this defense was any indication.

Afterwards, we see the former champion Lord Steven Regal watching on a monitor, seething at the screen even as Jean-Paul Lévesque stands by him saying that Regal shouldn't worry, because he has a plan to get some gold back around the waist of the nobleman.

Back from a commercial break, and Flyin' Brian is heading back to his locker room after that title defense, when he's approached by Hollywood Hogan and Roddy Piper! Hogan gushes at Brian, telling him that he just saw that match earlier, great win for the young star! Piper tells him that he's a big enough man to admit when he was wrong, and he says that he'll take back the things he said about Brian the past few times they spoke. Hogan says that maybe they can find a place for him in the KoW - he hands Pillman a can of black spraypaint, and says that if he wants to be right there at the top, side by side with "the Hulkster" like he's wanted all this time, then he knows what to do with this; Hogan taps his own championship, branded with the KoW initials, and smiles, as the two men walk away.

Brian simply looks at the black can in his hand.... and smiles an evil grin.

A video recap shows footage from before we went on the air, as Bad Attitude defeated The Playboys when Steve Keirn pulled the tights of Scott Stud to get the win. Afterwards, the two partners argued a bit about that method, but both men left the ring together in the end. Could this be trouble brewing for the team of veterans?

"Gamesmaster" Kevin Sullivan comes out to the ring along with Evad, and he is handed a microphone. He starts off by saying that he wants to again make clear his words - he had it placed in the contract that he would only have one match against Cactus Jack; and that in mind, he wants to personally extend his challenge to the Rock 'n Roll Express. He and Dave want the US Tag Team titles in the KoW, and they want their match at Halloween Havoc.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/CactusJack.jpg

The sound of Cactus Jack comes out though, as Jack walks out from the back. Strangely a sign is in the crowd near him reading "Joey Maggs for World Champ!" He says that nothing against the Rock 'n Roll Express, but he says that if there's anyone who is facing Kevin Sullivan at Halloween Havoc, it's gonna be him! He tells Kevin that he needs to rescind that challenge... or else Cactus will make him regret it!

Stunning Steve Austin & Diamond Dallas Page w/Col. Rob Parker & Diamond Doll vs. Johnny B. Badd & "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright w/Teddy Long

Austin and Page laugh at their opponents at the start of the match, not taking this seriously, but Badd, it seems, was smarter than he would have appeared, as he and the undefeated Wright gel as a well-oiled team. Their foes may have more experience, but there's something to be said for two people on the same page working together, as they have times when they make the Stud Stable backtrack outside and regroup constantly. Alex Wright gets cut from the pack and double teamed, as Austin uses his tag team experience to take over the match, and he's obviously coaching DDP along the way. The tide turns when Austin goes for the StunGun, but Wright blocks it and knees his way out before hitting a bulldog! Alex makes the tag just as Austin does, and Badd and DDP rush each other. Page tries to send Badd to the ropes, but he reverses, and the Diamond Doll mistakingly grabs his leg, leading to Badd blasting him with the Diss that Don't Miss! Badd falls on top, and the young team shock everyone by getting the win, the biggest win of the still undefeated "Das Wunderkind's" young career!

Winners: Johnny B. Badd and Alex Wright

Badd, Wright, and Long look like they're going out to party, but the party isn't in the ring, as Austin shakes his head in frustration and walks off to the back without his partner and managers. Diamond Doll enters the ring, apologizing profusely, as Colonel Parker is yelling at her. She turns to Page to try and get someone on her side, but he joins in with Parker, asking what she was thinking! Finally they say they'll finish this later, and they head to the back. Page rips down a sign being held from the crowd that reads "Yes, I play with Dolls" when the Doll smiles at it for a second.

Sting vs. Terry Funk

A great match between two guys who can put on a solid match against anyone. Funk uses all of his old school wiles to keep the energetic Stinger down on the mat, keeping pressure in order to do all he can to keep the crowd out of it. Sting keeps drawing them into it again though, as he continues to make his comebacks each time, just to get put back down by the Southern style offense of Funk. Terry starts to wear down by the end though, getting upset because Sting refuses to stay down. Sting almost gets a three count with a small package when Funk tries to use the spinning toe hold, and he rallies behind the "Little Stingers" in order to hit the Stinger Splash and lock in the Deathlock to get a submission win!

Winner: Sting

Rating: B

Note: This match benefitted highly from it being booked to "slow build" as Terry being an old man was hidden better than were they trying to go all out.

Sting releases the Scorpion Deathlock and gets up on the turnbuckle to call out to his fans, but he's immediately struck from behind!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Vader.jpg

Vader has made his way out and he attacks, throwing Sting down as Randy Anderson tries to call for the bell to try and get order. Vader splashes Sting, yelling at him that he wants his answer! He wants to know if they'll face off at Halloween Havoc! But Sting is in too much pain, he can't answer anything. Vader picks him up and throws him to Terry Funk, who doesn't seem really into the beatdown, but he's still in fight mode so he throws a few punches. Vader splashes Sting in the corner twice, but help is on the way!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/DustinRhodes.jpg

"The Natural" hits the ring and hits Vader with right hands! He swings at Funk, but Terry rolls out of the ring and starts walking to the back. Sting and Rhodes rally against the monster, and they force him out of the ring, and Vader is screaming at them from ringside as we head backstage.

There we see Flyin' Brian in his street clothes, getting ready to leave the arena, when he passes by "Nature Boy" Ric Flair! Flair looks Brian up and down, and tells him that he has far more potential than to be one of the KoW.... Flair says that perhaps Pillman would like trying on the symbol of excellence instead? Brian nods his head, as Flair smiles, and the two pass along.

In another area backstage, Paul Orndorff is getting ready for his match, getting in some last minute preparations. Hollywood Hogan enters the scene, and he says that he wants Orndorff to go out there and take down "The Dragon" before he even gets a chance, show him what we're made of! Orndorff says it'll be an honor. The match is next!

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat vs. "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff w/Jimmy Hart

These two put on a match that would be right at home on pay-per-view, as the two technicians put on a mat-based war. No matter who the winner would have been, neither man has anything to feel bad about, as they left all they had on the mat. Orndorff almost gets a win with the Boogie Woogie Elbow - and I feel good for working that move into here - but Steamboat kicks out. Orndorff shows that he does truly belong at the top still, even with being a man at 44 like he is, but in the end it's "The Dragon" who is the better man tonight, as he is able to soar through the air and hit a diving crossbody to get the pinfall.

As Steamboat celebrates for the crowd, he gets cut short when "Sirius" changes to "Voodoo Child" and Hollywood Hogan comes out to the top of the ramp, clapping sarcastically for "The Dragon" as we go to the final commercial break of the show.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RicFlair.jpg

"Nature Boy" Ric Flair comes out to the ring, armed with a microphone. He starts off by saying that he cannot wait for Halloween Havoc, as it will be his chance to get his hands on a man he hasn't been able to beat up in years, that being "Hot Rod" Roddy Piper. Flair says that no matter where these two men are, they always have found themselves at odds sooner rather than later, and now that Flair has unfortunately fallen off the map against Hogan - though he does wish Ricky Steamboat the best of luck - he will be glad this time only to take the consolation prize, and get to face off with the second in command, Piper! Flair points out a sign in the crowd reading "Four Horsemen Ride Again!!" and flashes the four fingers toward it, as Piper himself comes out from the back for his rebuttal.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RoddyPiper.jpg

He tells Flair that he's absolutely right, as the two have never been far from one another as soon as they enter the same promotion - it's almost as though they can't not face off at some point! Roddy points out that the first time they found one another, Flair was the zero time World's champion, he was the United States titleholder, and Piper quickly took that from him! He says that he did that while the two were still in their primes - what makes Flair think that he has a chance now that he's over the hill?

Flair fires back immediately, asking that if Piper really wants to talk about being over the hill! He tells him that perhaps Piper was still in his prime at that point, but "The Nature Boy" was just getting started! Flair tells him that he should think about the next time the two met, and Flair wiped the floor with the Scot every time they met, and on his home turf no less! Flair says that with that in mind, he's confident that while Piper may hold some victories over him in some obscure time, the only thing that will matter is when Flair destroys him in three weeks at Halloween Havoc! Piper says that Flair has always been delusional, but if he thinks that Roddy is going down without a fight, then "you got another thought comin' pal!" Piper says that this could be dubbed the "Next Great Clash of the Titans" but while the name can be only similar, the result will be the same, and that's Flair being beaten, and the KoW showing why Flair is only remembered so well because he was always just the big fish in a little pond all those years! Flair shoots back by saying that Piper talks a good game for only being the SECOND best every time he's been in the same room as Hogan! The two go nose-to-nose, and Flair "woooo"s in Piper's face, as Roddy just smiles back, chewing his gum at Flair, as the show fades out!

Brian stops by Gordon Solie, and he's saying how Lord Regal gave him quite the match for this belt, but he's the champ now! He's interrupted by Jean-Paul Lévesque, who tells Pillman that Regal should get a rematch as soon as possible, as his Lordship was not prepared for Pillman that night! Brian says that Regal needs to get in line with everyone else, as he's planning to be a fighting champion - a lot more than "his Lordship" ever was! Brian adds that the "time limit draw" that Regal was so fond of using to retain his title was a useless rule put in place by the buffoons in charge of this place years ago! Lévesque says that he doesn't care about that, he just wants justice brought upon Brian for taking advantage like he did. Pillman says that if the blue blood can't even come out here to fight his own battles, then maybe his lackey should get the reward - he tells Lévesque that if he wants justice so badly, then he'll be in the ring waiting for him on Saturday Night! Lévesque looks surprised, but he quickly accepts! ©
