Who should have gotten that all important 18th spot?

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/BennyBensonALT2_zpse420c3ed.jpg

Whilst the wrestling world awaits the first ever episode of Capital City Showdown here at the Grapevine we do what we do best, examine the booking decisions of the powers that be. One of the things that has captured our eyes is the choice for the starting 18 wrestlers. TCW had a rather larger roster which we can only be assumed has been carried over to CCW, and while I personally am I fan of trimming off the fat I also share the worries I've heard online that too many people will have no opportunity to prove themselves on the big stage. But for now, Benny Benson got the final spot, I'm happy to give Benson the chance to impress but in case he fails I have provided a small list of wrestlers that perhaps should have made it in, just food for thought...

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/HumanArsenalCustom_zps638c047f.jpghttp://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/JayChordCustom_zpsefb71f6b.jpghttp://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/EkumaCustom_zpsa04f3db5.jpg

John Anderson:
Either one of The Machines could have been on my list but I went with the younger of the two, with Vessey and Bryant already in the 18 I can't see a need for any more veterans. However John's a very good all rounder worker who could do with some air time to develop his only real weakness, his character.

Jay Chord:
Again, either one of The Second Sons of Wrestling could have made it in, I went with Chord because from what we saw in the final months of TCW, he has the slight edge over Keith. TCW were beginning to develop their youth well, it will be a shame if this trend isn't continued.

Ekuma:
This choice is somewhat of a wild card, we don't know too much about this man although he does remind me of a younger Rocky Golden/Golden Rock, take from that what you will... but TCW poached this man from the SWF development so I wouldn't be too surprised to see there are plans for him sooner rather than later.

The only certain thing is Benson and the likes are going to have impress quickly to keep their place in this exclusive league.

Wanted to pick Golden Rock, but realised i'd gone down the left every time... unless... you wrote it in order of who beat who, in which case... i SHOULD go for Golden... No... I'll stick with Hawkins... No wait, Golden... No Hawkins... Yeh... Hawkins! Final Answer!

So excited for this to begin... love the concept, the layout, the roster, everything :)

The Tower of Power returns to America

You may not know it, but the star of a recent multi-million dollar movie has touched down in Washington today...

You may not know it, but the star of a recent multi-million dollar movie is scheduled to appear on the very first Showdown...

The film? Well you may not know that either. Based off a comic book, the film portrays a superhero who battles evil with his immense strength and has become a big hit this summer in Japan, the title would translate simply to PowerMan.

The Star? Well this one you may actually know as it's own very own... Koshiro Ino.

Tune in this Tuesday to see our resident super hero test his strength against the evils of CCW.

Rhodes: Welcome everybody to the very first show of Capital City Showdown!

Azaria: We've all been listening to the hype and reading the news but tonight, this new era in professional wrestling officially starts.

Rhodes: I know personally I've been eagerly awaiting this day, epecially our main event which will determine the number one contenders for Rick Law's Undisputed World Title.

Azaria: Well the wait is over as I'm being told that our opening match is getting started!

Joey Minnesota vs Koshiro Ino

-Ino made his entrance and received a huge reception as the first person ever to step foot in the Showdown ring.

-The cheers were cut short however when Joey Minnesota made his entrance.

Azaria:
Interesting first match here Kyle, both of these men have found some success over the past few months outside of wrestling.

Rhodes:
Well, Ino has become a film star in Japan but I don't think you can call Joey's rap career a success!

-As he made his way down to the ring Joey revealed a microphone...

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/JoeyMinnesota-3Custom_zpsbbc2770e.jpg

Yeah cut the music, gonna do this freestyle...

Ino, this is for you.

I hope you had a good time, in the land of the rising sun

Coz now you back in 'Merica, you're bowt to get done

I've heard what they saying, saying you some kinda star?

But yo, I'm the only one here, who's gonna go far!

<hr color=" black">

Rating:
B

-Joey smirked as he dropped the mic, clearly satisfied with his work.

Rhodes:
See what I mean?

-The match started with Joey trying to play some mind games but the Tower of Power wasn't having any of it and cut it short with a big body slam.

-As the fight went on it became clear that Ino's power was too much for Joey

-Joey recovered enough to launch some quick offence including an impressive enzuguri which eventually brought his large opponent to his feet.

-Minnesota failed to capitalise on this however, instead opting to mock his opponent.

-That slip up was all Ino need to hoist Joey up, and hit the Gorilla Press Slam.

Loser: Joey Minnesota (-2 Points)

Azaria: Minnesota is going to have to go home and lick his wounds, it won't be easy to rebound from a defeat like that.

Rhodes: Well he lost for one simple reason, he got cocky. You can't afford to do that against people like Ino.

Backstage

- The camera cuts backstage where one of CCW's newest employees is stood...

Welcome fans, my name is Roger Smooth and I'm joined at this time with the newly crowned Tag Team Champions, Aaron Andrews and Joel Bryant... Welcome.

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/fb6926f9-bb4b-44e8-b719-ae821b0a0135_zpsdeb52b0f.jpghttp://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/AaronAndrewsCustom_zps46fa9ec0.jpg

Andrews:
Hey Roger... it sure feels good that this day has finally come.

Smooth:
Of course, Joel and yourself played an important role in establishing CCW dominance of TCW. But for now I want to ask you how does it feel to be the Tag Champs?

Bryant:
Well Roger let's be serious for a moment here, the tag division has been relegated to the B show, and that's not a good thing. I'll always be proud to be a tag team champion, and there's a lot of potential down at Scars and Stripes. But you ask be how it feels? It's not enough. That said, I'm always happy to team with Aaron here.

Smooth:
Indeed, on a personal note I must add how you both are a joy to watch sometimes, it's clear you have a natural chemistry together. Do you think it's a team that could last?

Bryant:
Well I mean I'm 42 you know, nothing can last for ever. But me and Aaron have a good thing going and so I'm sure we'll be a presence in the tag division for some time.

Smooth:
It's lucky you say that because I actually have a surprise for you and especially Aaron.

-A door is seen opening and out steps Robert Oxford.

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/b2859bdb-d3e7-4093-8d2e-f909223839b5_zpsca3a72df.jpg

Oxford:
Good to see you Joel... You know, as The Tag Team Specialists we showed the world how good tag team wrestling can be, I've been in many successful teams in my career but I'll always hold the time I spend tagging with you highly in my heart. That's why it pleases me to see you tagging with young Aaron here. You see Aaron is quite the Tag Team Specialist himself, we've even faced him a fair few times when he was part of the L.A Connection, I admire his work. That's why it would be an honour for me, if you guys took the name, you kept The Tag Team Specialists alive and showed the world how good tag team wrestling can be.

-Andrews looks at Oxford with a delighted disbelief. He tells the veteran he would be proud to be the new member of TTS and shakes his hand.

Smooth:
Back to ringside.

The Tag Team Specialist vs The Canadian Animals

-Andrews appeared to be still high on the idea of being in The Tag Team Specialists, using this energy to control Freddy early on.

-The pace slowed down when Bryant was tagged in, but the intensity increased with numerous painful looking holds

-In desperation Edd attempted a diving leg drop off the top rope but when Joel managed to roll out the way and tag in Andrews, any hope for The Animals was killed.

-Edd frantically tagged in Freddy who ran in only to meet The Spear.

Azaria: What a beautiful Spear, such technique and yet raw power.

Rhodes: I don't blame Freddy for not kicking out, that's for sure.

Video Package

-The duo are interrupted when a video package begins playing.

-It shows a large man dressed in an orange prison jumpsuit as he prepares to leave prison. The man at first is unrecognisable due to his shaved head and tattoos. He walks in closer and it becomes clear that the convict is Eddie Peak.

Peak:
I've been in this place just two months, but I've met all types of people... theives... rapists... murderers... But I'm not like them. No, because the one thing they all have in common, is they claim their innocence.

I enjoyed my crimes, and soon I can return home to where not only is it legal for me to inflict pain, I even get paid for it!

See you next week.

Tommy Cornell vs Finch

-Cornell's entrance brings an eruption of boos, even though the main reason this show is on is because of Tommy turning on TCW and Ricky Dale Johnson. Cornell seems far from bothered at this response, taking his time to antagonise some boys in the front row.

-Finch, formerly known as Scout, marched down the ring with a determined look on his face, ready to prove to the world what he can do.

-Finch indeed did manage to impress in the early stages of the match, going toe to toe with Cornell and managing for the most part to match his quick yet strong style.

-Numerous times he managed to wriggle out of Tommy's attempts to lock in the Guilt Trip, and even managed to get Cornell into his Sharpshooter.

-It looked as if an upset was on the cards until Cornell clawed his way to the ropes, breaking the hold. The two men both seemed to have exhausted themselves.

Azaria:
What a match! Finch is really pushing Cornell to his limit.

Rhodes:
But if I've learnt one thing, it's never to doubt the boss.

Azaria:
That's EX boss you mean!

-Realising he had to step his game up, Tommy spurred himself into a trance like state in which he seemed untouchable, reversing everything and bombarding Finch with heavy blows.

-Just as Cornell was getting the upper hand, Finch pulled him into a roll up but the ex TCW owner forced his way out just in time.

-The two continued to exchange manoeuvres until Cornell successfully hit the Rough Ride, getting the three-count.

Dawn:
I'm going to cut the chase boys, a bad loss for you tonight.

Edd:
Look I know it's your first day on the job but I think I should let you know that interviewers are supposed to ask questions.

Freddy:
Give her a break Edd, I mean lets face it she isn't made out for this, all she is used to doing is dancing around trying to look good. Emphasis on the trying am I right?

-The two youngsters high five each other

Dawn:
You suffered a convincing defeat against The Tag Team Specialists... How will you pick yourselves up from this?

Edd:
Look Dawn, another lesson, this one's about us. When you're a Canadian Animal. What matters isn't whether you win or you lose...

Freddy:
Nope.

Edd:
It's hard you party AFTER the match.

-Freddy phone goes off, he looks to see the text message and grins.

Freddy:
Hey Edd, let's get going.

-Edd continues to look at Dawn as the two make their exit.

American Buffalo
w/Floyd Goldworthy
vs Benny Benson

-The United States Champion makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Floyd Goldsworthy who carries the belt as if it's his own, holding it up in the air to the annoyance of the fans.

-Benson runs to the ring and the match gets started.

-Despite his enthusiasm for the non-title match the match is almost as short as his entrance, with Buffalo overpowering from the get go.

-In the end, Buffalo's running head but was enough to get the win.

Ringside

-As the bell rings Floyd grabs a microphone and issues a challenge in his signature fast paced lingo.

Floyd
: Everybody you just saw the destruction that my client is capable of, the sheer strength his has, his brutality is too much for any man. That's why we want more than this belt. We defend title 5 times we get a world title shot right? So next week I want any dumb idiot who thinks he's strong enough to step in the ring with my client and try to win the United States Title.

Backstage

-Sammy Bach is shown sat in the corner of a dimly lit room by himself

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/SammyBach_alt2Custom_zpsab87b373.jpg

Bach:
It is nothing short of a travesty that I do not have a match on the first ever show of Capital City Wrestling for it's blood runs through my veins. But alas, next week the stars will align and The Angel of the Void will swoop down on injustice and put to sleep its restless spirit. My opponent? My mind's eye is yet to fix it's stare on any choice so far. Although one can be sure that I will start my new career off with 5 points.

Azaria: Another match made for next week!

Rhodes: So to get 5 points Bach has to beat somebody in Class 1 am I right?

Azaria: Indeed, Class 1 is made up of Cornell, Hawkins, Peak, Rock, Law and Bach himself, so the man has 5 choices it seems.

Rhodes: But tonight the focus is on our main event which will determine the first ever PPV main event at the end of the month.

Azaria: Law will surely be watching this closely to try and scout a weakness in his soon to be opponent.

Rhodes: What are you on about? Law doesn't scout, he beats people up, that's it, that's all he has to do.

Golden Rock vs Wolf Hawkins

Number One Contendership for the CCW Undisputed Title

-The match began slowly with both men getting a feel for their opponent.

-When Golden Rock won a test of strength quite comfortably, Wolf resorted to leaving the ring for a breather, visibly frustrated to meet his match.

-The match continued in a similar way for some time until Wolf low blowed Rock which pushed him too far, an all out brawl started that spilled over to outside the ring.

-Rock whipped his opponent into the steel steps but when he tried to charge, Wolf dodged out of the way, sending Golden's boot right into the steel.

-Hawkins exploited this weakness and worked the leg, applying an ankle lock but not quite managing to summon enough strength to keep it in.

-The crowd began to get behind Golden Rock as he limped around the ring but kept battling as much as he could.

-The tide turned when Golden connected with a big elbow off the top rope, he was stood waiting for Hawkins to get to his feet, signalling the Rocky Road. Wolf however had the instincts to roll out of the ring. Frustrated with the match Hawkins simply left up the ramp, shouting at the booing fans. Golden was angry not to get the pin but when the 10 count finished he celebrated for the fans none the less, happy to get the 5 points.

Azaria: What a disappointment, the first ever CCW main event ends in a count out!

Rhodes: Well that's Wolf Hawkins for you, when he wants to be he can be one of the best in the business. But his mind has to be in the game, and when it's not, things like this can happen.

Azaria: Wait a minute Kyle, who is that!

In Ring

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/RockyGolden_alt1-1Custom_zps3badca22.jpg

-Golden Rock was too busy celebrating in the ring to notice the Champion making his way down to the ring, title in one hand, baton in the other.

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/RickLaw_alt2Custom_zpsdffa9c1f.jpg

-Rick climbed into the ring and whilst his challenger was on a turnbuckle cheering he swung the baton at the leg which had been injured in the match.

-Rick again hit Rocky with the baton, this time on his back as he slumped onto the matt.

Law:
This is MY title. You're in my jurisdiction now boy.

Rhodes:
What a heinous attack!

Azaria:
The fans seem to agree with you! They are sure being vocal for the dislike of Rick Law.

Rhodes:
Can you blame them!

Azaria:
Either way, it's going to be a heated title match!

Rhodes:
Indeed, I'm certain Golden Rock won't simply allow Law to get away with this.

Azaria:
Well sadly we are going to have to wait to find out as we have ran out of time here. Thank you for joining us on this historic night!

-Law stood in the centre of ring and soaked up all the boo's as each angered fan helped fuel his power. The show ended with him holding his baton in the air.

-Early on in the season it would be wrong to place a huge importance in it, however Golden Rock's 5 points put him in prime position to win a second title shot next month.

-Other points worth noting is the fact that Wolf Hawkins currently lies at the very bottom, albeit joint bottom. "The Future" still has plenty of time to turn this around although it is bound to be worrying.

September Week 2

Joshua Taylor vs Eddie Peak

The show starts with two men having their first ever CCW match. Can Taylor control the raw aggression that Peak is bound to bring?

The Tag Team Specialists and Benny Benson vs The Canadian Animals and Joey Minnesota

Last week both The Canadian Animals and Joey Minnesota lost their opening matches, the three will be ready to redeem themselves but face tough opposition.

American Buffalo
©
vs ???
(United States Title Match)

The first ever title match on Capital City Showdown will see American Buffalo take on whomever accepts Floyd Goldworthy's challenge. Will his client indeed prove that he can defend the title 5 times and cash it in for an Undisputed Title shot? Or has Floyd put Buffalo's reign in danger?

Sammy Bach vs ???

The main event will see Sammy Bach challenge a member of Class A in a 5 point battle. Will The Angel of the Void pick his opponent wisely or bite off more than he can chew?

Two Bonus Points

Who will be the challenger for the United States Title?

Who will Sammy Bach choose to face in the main event?

The prize for the monthly competition will be some sort of smallish booking decision that I will PM the winner about. This month it will most likely be about the first person to be relegated, but I won't go into too much detail to avoid spoilers.

Also just a heads up on how I like to do the prediction contests... There will be small monthly prizes but the main prize will be for the PPV prediction contests. Each PPV whoever picks the most correct will get a point, the person with the most points at the end of the season wins. However whoever wins the monthly contest each month (made up of just the 4 Showdown's) gets a 1 point headstart for that months PPV. This way I hope it means that somebody can drop in and out of predictions and still fully participate in the yearly PPV contest but the people who predict each week gain a possible small advantage.

Sammy Bach vs ???

Thanks to all who have predicted, it's been quite an interesting week for me to see who everyone picks, especially with the two bonus ones.

This is just a 24 hour warning for anybody else, the show is all written except the main event but I might post an article as well before week 2 goes up.

Also I was going to post a small round up each week of Scars and Stripes, the B Show. But I've decided that because there are pretty much no storylines on it as it's only purpose is to get people ready for the A show I''m just going to to monthly recaps.

Rhodes: Welcome everybody to Capital City Showdown! We’re here live on GNN Total Sports and we’re ready for an action packed night.

Azaria: Indeed, we know the United States Title will be on the line AND Bach will challenge a Class A wrestler.

Rhodes:Personally I’m looking forward to seeing the match between Law and Rock for the title draw closer, with a champion like Law you can bet he’s out tonight to get any advantage possible.

Azaria:He already attacked him last week! I’ll be impressed if Golden even turns up tonight!

In-Ring

-The show starts with Roger Smooth in the ring awaiting his guest to interview.

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/f94020fb-1f3e-4b71-b7a3-8b986c16f702_zps8b66302d.jpg

-The crowd cheer as Golden Rock makes his way to the ring, albeit with a slight limp. After shaking hands with Roger he seems relieved to take a seat.

Smooth:
Golden Rock it's a pleasure to have you here to ask some questions, first I must ask how are you feeling after Law’s brutal attack which ended last week’s Showdown?

Golden:
Thank you for having me Roger. I will be honest, I am not good. My injury is a sign of weakness, one that I must overcome. However more importantly I must overcome Rick Law and so that’s why I have a challenge for him.

Smooth:
I admire your heart but don’t you think you should rest up at least until your big match for the title?

Golden:
Well sadly I cannot wrestle tonight, but I can promise everybody that I will not wait until Independence Day to avenge the attack. Independence Day is a celebration. I do not want to tarnish that with the act of vengeance. No that will come next week because I challenge him to a tag match, I will find a partner, and he must do the same.

Smooth:
Interesting stuff! Do you have any ideas who will be your tag partner?

Golden:
I have a few ideas but nothing confirmed.

Smooth:
Alright well then I wish you luck not only in your recovery but in your search.

-The two men shake hands as the camera cuts to Rick Law and Tommy Cornell

Law:
You hear that Tommy? I need a partner. Up for a fight next week?

Cornell:
You damn right mate, I’ll fight that idiot.

Law:
And listen… I understand that you’re used to being the top dog, the champ. I just want to check that…

Cornell:
Check what? Rick I am the top dog, that ain’t changing any bloody time soon. You want to know if I have your back or if I’m after that title? Put it this way…

Eddie Peak vs Joshua Taylor

- Joshua Taylor made his way to the ring first, taking his time to shake hands with the fans and even sign a few autographs.

- His face however dropped when the menacing figure of Eddie Peak began stomping towards the ring.

- “The Mean Streak” wasted no time in getting his hands on his opponent, using his aggression to simply throw his opponent from corner to corner, only stopping to instead beat down on Joshua with some thunderous blows.

- Taylor managed to break out of this cycle when he reversed an Irish Whip into a DDT which surprised Peak and clearly did some damage.

- The Fan Favourite carried on the impressive offense which included a suplex but when he climbed up the top rope and signalled for his signature Diving Leg Drop he was shocked to see Peak already on his feet.

-Most of the fans got behind Taylor who battled like a true underdog, however despite Peak being the baddest of the bad, there was a clear section of the fans who wanted him to rip Taylor apart. An ominous chant haunted Joshua throughout the match, “Kill, Peak, Kill”.

-It was to be that smaller section of the fans who got what they wished for when, a devastating Big Boot appeared to knock Taylor right out, which made it easy for Eddie to hit The Peak of Perfection (Crucifix Powerbomb).

The Tag Team Specialists and Benny Benson vs The Canadian Animals and Joey Minnesota

-Joey Minnesota is the last man to enter the ring, similar to last week he reveals a microphone on his way down the ramp.

Entrance Ramp

Yo, I ain’t even bothered bowt the three fools in the ring.

My minds focused y’all, focused on summit else. Ino this is for you.

“Yo last week, you may have got the lucky win

But let me tell you now, my patience is runnin thin

Ino, I warn you now imma comin fo’you

N that means there is not one thing you can do.

Acting like a superhero? Damn dawg that’s lame

It sickens me even more, when they say you’ve found fame

Coz what you do? Its just unnecessary

While my beats and my moves will make me legendary!

Azaria:
We’re really doing this? Giving this boy air time?

Rhodes:
I don’t understand it either to be honest.

-Joey drops the mic and slides into the ring only to be met by a spinning heel kick by Benny Benson which gets the match underway.

Rhodes:
But that I can understand! Let’s have ourselves a wrestling match!

-A brawl erupts when The Canadian Animals take offense at Benny for starting the match before they were all ready, but they are quickly silenced by the Tag Team Specialists and order is resumed with Edd Stone and Benny Benson as the legal men.

-The match continues as this fast pace and sees some real action including a brilliant swinging DDT by Benson onto Edd however the tide turns when Benny misses an elbow drop which gives Stone a chance to tag in his partner.

-The three control the match, isolating Benson well and using many quick tags and double teams. Edd goes for the Party’s Over which would surely end it but Benny manages to slip away and dive for the tag.

-Aaron runs in and straight away Spears Edd but the youngster is wise enough to roll out of the ring. When Freddy runs in he too is hit with a spear. Joey is wise or perhaps enough of a coward to stay on the apron instead of running in to join that action.

-Edd however returns and whilst the referee is making sure Freddy leaves the ring he low blows Aaron who falls but manages to tag in Joel.

-Edd makes a quick tag to Minnesota who promptly manages to pull the veteran into a roll up, putting his feet on the ropes to get the win.

Azaria: Great entertaining action, it’s been a good night so far!

Rhodes: And although I dislike them, you can’t fault the way the winners worked well as a team, even if they did employ some dirty tactics.

Azaria: Indeed, well now I’m hearing we are about to find out who is Sammy Bach’s choice!

Backstage

-Bach is shown in some dimly lit room backstage as he answer who is choice of opponent is for tonight’s main event.

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/SammyBach_alt2Custom_zpsab87b373.jpg

Bach:
I’ve listened to the rumours, I’ve let their opinions trickle downwards into my mind, but yet, my mind has always been made. After last week’s main event, my choice came to me. Wolf Hawkins, I choose you to join me in the ring. Do I do this because I see Wolf as an easy five points after his loss? No, plus the harbinger of success must never take the easy root. No, I make my choice because I want to help you. Last week you gave up in your match, you allowed your temper to take over your soul and one as so inexperienced and hot headed as yourself must never allow this.

You showed me that your mind is not yet clear, that you cannot drop every thought in order to attain the true peace of mind that is needed to be the greatest. So that is where I, the Angel of the Void, come in. When you face me tonight, there will be a moment, where you’re lying on your back, waiting for me to hit the shooting star press. In your mind you will know that it is over, you will realise that your ego is dead and you will understand that in order to become great you must first learn to lose. That feeling is the Void.

It is a beautiful feeling of complete serenity and one you must learn to master. However when you first feel this my child, it will be terrifying as looking into an abyss always it. But that is what I am here for as when I hit the shooting star press there will be a time where I am flying above you, and our eyes will meet. You will see that there is nothing to be afraid of as I, as the Angel of the Void, will put you out of the misery you life in. Don’t worry, you will soon be free.

<hr color=" black">

Rhodes: What is he on about?

Azaria: I never understand Bach, but more importantly, do we have a main event for you!

Rhodes: Bach vs Hawkins! That is a PPV quality match if I’ve ever heard one.

Azaria: And yet we’re giving it away free on Capital City Showdown!

United States Title: American Buffalo vs Guide

- American Buffalo was pacing up and down the ring in anticipation of his first title match when his surprise opponent made their way down to the ring, one half of The New Wave, Guide.

-Two of the biggest men in CCW squared off in a physical match where both men left everything in the ring.

-Many heavy blows were traded as both men relied less on technical prowess and more on brute strength.

-The two seemed to be very even in that aspect but when Floyd Goldworthy pulled Guide’s feet from outside of the ring, Buffalo used the opportunity to hit the running head butt. Getting the win.

In-Ring

-After the match is over Buffalo continues to beat down on Guide as Floyd holds his legs down.

-The attack appears to have no end in sight until Finch comes to save his partner.

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/Scout_alt1Custom_zps7f2a9101.jpg

-Finch dives at Buffalo taking him straight off his feet but the big man manages to push him away before he could lock in the Sharpshooter. Buffalo and Floyd make their exit with the belt as Finch tends to his partner.

Azaria: Well American Buffalo makes that defence number one of the United States Title. Remember if he gets five he can cash it in for a shot at the Undisputed Title.

Rhodes: That’s true, and with Floyd Goldoworthy in his corner he is bound to go far.

Azaria: Unless Finch has anything to do with it, and I’m sure he wants revenge for the needless attack on his friend.

Dawn:
I am here with the man who is about to face Sammy Bach in tonights main event, Wolf… Do you feel confident?

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/CCW/People/ad7b589c-0a68-4bdf-865c-1e81181f8622_zpsed475cab.jpg

Wolf:
Of course I’m confident, this wack jobs insane. You know I listened to his words, I listened closely actually. He says that I have to learn to lose in order to be great? That’s not how I do things, Sammy Bach had to learn to lose because that’s all his life is, disappointment after disappointment. People like me are different, I win, full stop.

Dawn:
Well last week Wolf you did lose to…

Wolf:
Are you being serious? I didn’t lose last week, I chose to walk away. This whole league system is unfair, you know why? Normally people have to pay to see me, but this system degrades me. It’s trying to make me come here each week in some desperate attempt to win little brownie points. Well that’s not me. Whenever the hell I want to, I will win. If I don’t deem the match important enough… well who gives a damn.

Dawn:
If that’s the case then how do you intend on finding success in CCW?

Wolf:
Question time's over.

-Hawkins walks off to get ready for his match leaving Dawn stood bewildered.

<hr color=" black">

Rating:
B

Azaria: Well what do you think about that Kyle?

Rhodes: You know I’ve got respect for Wolf’s abilities but the kid is bottom of the table, it may only be after one week but still! Dawn is right, if he wishes to find success he will have to learn to live in the system.

Azaria: Perhaps now is the perfect time for that as our main event is getting started!

Sammy Bach vs Wolf Hawkins

-Bach was stood with a trance like focus as Wolf casually strolls down the ramp.

- After a minute or two of holds and reversals Wolf gets the upper hand with a dastardly low blow right in front of the referee.

-The ref warns Wolf but the damage has been done, “The Future” manages to control his opponent, keeping him on the ground.

-The bout is perhaps less athletic than these two wrestlers are used to but the pace picks up when Bach dodges the Full Moon Rising and answers with a neckbreaker.

-Bach continues his offence as Wolf appears increasingly frustrated which allows Bach to hit the Bach on your Bach.

-“The Angel of the Void” is about to climb onto the turnbuckle, presumably for the Shooting Star Press when Hawkins crawls behind him to hit another low blow in plain sight of the referee. This time he has seen enough and signals for the bell.

Azaria:
I don’t believe it! For the second week running Hawkins has done something like this in the main event!

Rhodes:
Let’s face it, he knew he was beat so he took the cowards way out.

Azaria:
Either way, that’s another -2 points.

-Hawkins stands over Bach who is in pain on the floor after the second low blow.

-The referee ushers him away but the show ends with Hawkins at the top of the ramp laughing despite his loss.

Again the talking point post show is focused on Wolf Hawkins, who after 2 weeks sits at the bottom of the table. With two weeks left however he does still have the opportunity to avoid participating in the relegation match at the PPV. Joint bottom however is Guide, who learnt the hard way that taking a shot at the title is risky business, losing 4 points in one single match.

At the top of the table Golden Rock and Sammy Bach appear to be favourites to claim that all important number one contenders spot by the end of the PPV, that said, there are many other contenders such as Tommy Cornell who sits just two points behind them. Also it would actually be quite unlikely that Golden wins the spot to have a second consecutive title shot because at Independence Day he will either win the title or lose 4 points which would likely knock him down several places, this again stresses how important title matches can be.

What is clear is that next weeks tag match which sees Law and Cornell face Golden and his opponent is likely to be key.

Apologies to the others if you simply didn't catch it in time but hopefully with this prediction system, as long as you are part of the PPV's then you can still win overall.

Also a thanks to anyone who has nominated/voting for this diary in the DOTM thread, it was a very nice surprise.

As usual any comments/opinions/criticisms/tips are more than welcome, hope you enjoyed the show.

<p>Just like to apologise for the big delay on any posts here recently, especially with it being so early on. Still busy with some things but I plan on finishing the show sometime tomorrow so hopefully it should be up soon after. Thanks for all the predictions and I aim to post plenty in the upcoming weeks so I should be able to build momentum and interest back up. </p><p> </p><p>

The preview for anyone who still wishes to predict is just a few posts above. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

P.S thanks again to my voters on the diary of the month thread. Like I said I intend to post quicker in the next few weeks so I still might be able to earn some more votes next month, especially with the two great diaries that joint won being ineligible!</p>
