And this picture will now be in the Risky Business picture folder. Thank you for finding that pic, RKO!

What I really love that you did that other mods around this time didn't is put the WWF/NWA guys under written contracts. I think it's really realistic that these guys aren't going to be leaving their company anytime soon.

Playing as AWA as well and loving it so far <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I've always wanted to gain an interest in wrestling around this time period when so much was going on. Been playing this mod for a day so far and it's brilliant fun! The NWA is going to take down the WWF Juggernaut.

AI booking is fun, though. Hogan loses on Prime Time Wrestling to One Man Gang but then 2 days later retains the strap against DiBiase on PPV. This is going to be ace!

I had a chance to talk to Jimmy a long time ago when NWA Southwest was doing a meet and greet at the local Domino's Pizza down the street, and he's the last guy I would imagine loving classical music. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> And now Jimmy is loyal to Hogan! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I just have downloaded the Main Event and i was checking a bit the updates you mentioned.

While you said that Hugo Savinovich was set to be active in USA as well in Mexico, i checked it up and he was only active in Mexico. Also, he's Ecuadorian. (I know i said it before a dozen times, but in most of the mods, he's Mexican, with the exception of War of the Inmortals, where he's Spanish. I apologize if it seems that i'm complaining on that detail.)

Now, i'm going to play the mod, this time with a different user character and a different company. Let's see how it goes <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I love it! It's a good mod! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I was playing AWA as Billy Idol, and despite a few setbacks with the gimmicks because of the AWA style... it's a fun mod!

Keep up the good work!

What exactly is happening? Is it just because the gimmick ratings were set to Random? :-/

I took a look at the product settings, and I tinkered with them a bit. Traditional is still Key, but Mainstream was upped to Medium as they did have their share of workers who had gimmicks(Col. DeBeers, Jimmy Snuka, any number of foreign heels and Sgt. Slaughter come to mind). Lowered Realism and Pure to Low. With those settings, here's what I've got:

-Wrestlers rated more on pop than performance
-Fans won't like highly risky gimmicks

-Fans won't get subtle gimmicks

-Fans won't like highly risky angles

-Very favorable to sponsorship

With the previous settings, the fans weren't keen on gimmicks, and didn't like the subtle, risky or difficult ones as Whippy pointed out. This said, should I make this change to the product considering it'll be based more on pop than performance? I'm using the previous data(before the latest update) for my game save, and they still manage to put out good scores. And I recall others saying they've had fun playing as the AWA.

Since it was pretty slim pickings as far as women wrestlers in the WWF at that time go, I left them out and figured if anybody wanted to put them in, they could.

Im playing this and Love it. There a few things I done as Im playing with the NWA, I decided to go with Barry Windham in a feud with Flair I did give sting the TV Title for now. The Road Warriors Feuding with Tully and Arn, However I don't remember them being called the Enforcers, That was arn and Zyzbyko. One thing I don't understand is even though Dusty and Nikita are main eventers Dusty got mad because I had him drop the us title to Nikita.

For Arn & Tully being the Enforcers, I could have sworn they were referred to as that on at least one show in '87 or '88, but I could be wrong as it's been so long. If I ever update this, I'll drop the Enforcers name from their NWA team.

How much more popular is Dusty Rhodes as compared to Nikita Koloff? That, along with Dusty being a bit egotistical and selfish (which from all the stories of his crazy ass booking, should be realistic for the time period), could be why he's complaining. Whenever I do wind up doing an update, though, I'll take a look at their pops and see what I can do.

Glad you're having fun and look forward to hearing more stories about your NWA game! :D

Right Now I say I got a pretty Good Tag team division with The Road Warriors, Powers of Pain,Midnight Express,The Rockers,The Sheephearders, and the Fantastics along with Tully and Arn. Since I turned Nikita heel I guess I will team him and Ivan some as well. I signed Hennig and Micheal Hayes. Couldn't get Gordy for some reason.

Couple things I just noticed while setting up a 1988 JCP game...

Dallas actually has Lance Hoyts picture attached but the profile is for Dallas from G.L.O.W who is in fact a woman. Now Lance may wrestle like a woman but pretty sure that's not correct <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Also, you have Prime Time Wrestling set as the "A" show for WWF, but Superstars was always the "A" show around this time. It took over from WWF Championship Wrestling in 1986.

That's especially embarrassing for me since I've met him before and he was very cool to me. <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

As for Prime Time/Superstars, that one is tricky, and I figured that the players can change that however they want in the editor before firing up a game. I tossed and turned over which I would make the A show and which I'd make the B show. I decided the best thing to do would be to make Prime Time the A show, and Superstars the B show, and again, everyone can make whatever changes they deem necessary. As for the reasoning behind my final decision: Prime Time was two hours and always had at least one, if not two (sometimes three) feature matches every show. Whereas Superstars was one hour and it was very rare for them to even have one feature match, as the show was pretty much squash city every week. Granted, the storylines usually advanced on Superstars (and that's where the struggle to decide which would be the A show and which would be the B show came in), but alas, that's the decision I made. Hope that all made sense.

BTW, a couple of members pointed out some other oddities to me that I have fixed. I'm not going to release an update on this for a little while as I'm working on Risky Business, but everyone is more than welcome to post anything odd they find here in this thread so I can add it to my list of things to fix whenever I do make an update. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Also, unless I missed something. Is there a reason there is no NWA Western States Heritage Championship? Larry Z would have just won it a few days before this mod begins. I know the title was pretty short lived but it did last throughout 1988. It's pretty easy to add since Barry Windham would be the only other person to have held it. Just wondering for completion sake.
