  7. You may not nominate yourself

  8. All nominations must include a reason

For Mod I would like to nominate WWF: The Golden Age...And Beyond by The Final Countdown. Honestly never a huge ready on RL mods, but this one just has great writing and does make me feel nostalgic for the years of when I first started to get into wrestling.

For the Cornellverse I would like to nominate IPW: A Friend in Need by smwilliams. Really enjoy Eric Tyler's struggles of dealing with idiots and bad attitudes in an attempt to turn IPW into a relevant company.

Paying it forward for a fellow SWF diarist who had nominated me once before.

SWF: The Fall - The Melancholy of Tommy Cornell by ampulator gets my Cornellverse vote for a number of reasons.

1. I enjoy the idea of Tommy Cornell returning to the first promotion he joined in America as it lays in a state of chaos. Add to the fact his wife has left him, plus the usual chaos backstage with troublesome workers, and you've got one interesting diary in terms of backstage action.

2. It's a totally different concept altogether for the SWF - as I said in the diary, he's not using a stock SWF lineup for TEW 2013, and for that, The Fall gets plus points for originality.

3. I appreciate how he tries to keep readers involved apart from the usual call for predictions.

For C-Verse diary I'm going to nominate 3rdStringPG's SWF, I actually wasn't going to because I felt that somebody else is bound to pick it but even if just for the backstage segments alone this deserves my vote. Some of the most engaging stuff I've seen on here.

For RW I'm going to go with The Lloyd's WWE. Especially for a first diary it is very well done and deserves the attention it is receiving. Plenty of reasons I could have given but one of the most impressing things about it is actually it's sheer speed which I'm sure anybody who has ever attempted a diary would agree is impressive.

I might come back with a monthly spotlight but I'm going to leave it for now as I'm personally eagerly awaiting Michgcs's Extreme Rules as I'm quietly confident it will be a great show.

Thanks, I really appreciate it, but I'm not eligible for April. :p

Nominees for this month

Cornellverse DOTM

HGC: The Rise and Fall of Hollyweird (Cverse97) by Arwink

Great storytelling - each TV show serves a purpose. In particular, the Monty Walker/Dread story has been epic, really looking forward to reading the blow off.

Mod DOTM

Quantum Pro: The Future of Wrestling [Lotharioverse/Thunderverse] by Tiberious4

It's great to see Tiberious writing again - his POW diary was a favourite of mine and this looks to be of the same quality. The premise of the company is fantastic (like a sci fi wrestling company) as is the presentation.

Monthly Spotlight

SWF: Doing it for Charlie - The KP Avatar Story by 3rdStringPG

A mention for the excellent 'Flight to Disaster' segments. I've been humming 'Big Dumb Sex' ever since...

Wow, thanks! I don't know what to say. :)

Honored and flattered :) Thanks man...

Agree with this, so I will also wait till The Chamber is done before the monthly spotlight...

cverse dom -

The concept of Christmas_ape's Capital City Wrestling is fantastic... All of his characters are well thought out, and he has an excellent cverse roster... so i guess this is a cverse one?! :)

mod dom - WCW/nWo 97 by NWAvsWWF The confusing title aside, I love it :) he's booking the shows how they SHOULD have been booked back then, without making huge changes. He's kicking the WWE's ass in the ratings... and I really like his worker pics!! Top work!!

:)

Thanks a bunch! I'm glad you're enjoying despite RW not really being your thing.

I was initially going to hold off and see if mich posted Elimination Chamber soon so I could make it my Spotlight, but since two others have mentioned doing the same, I'll go ahead and spread the love a bit.

Mod 1: WCW '94: War of the Thrones by Beejus. Beejus has a really nice presentation, not to mention very interesting storylines. (I love the Hotline too.)

Mod 2: TNA 2013: Back to the Future by olympia. I have only one thing to say: senile Ric Flair.

Monthly Spotlight: WCW Bash at the Beach 1994 in WCW '94: War of the Thrones by Beejus. I just checked, and it was posted on April 1st, so it's just barely eligible. This was a very enjoyable PPV, with a unique twist on the real-life Hogan/Flair match that has paved the way for a totally different direction for WCW.

Thanks for the nom dude! It's about to get real interesting in the coming months too.

For my nominations...

Cornellverse: Operation Lullaby by Charasmatic Enigma

http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=523571

Love the story behind it and the monthly updates on SWF are gold (especially since it's C.E. picking apart the A.I. booking).

Unfortunately, any other diary I'm reading has already been nominated and there's no use in throwing up a 2nd.

The DOTM is usually for all versions of the game, provided the diaries themselves are currently active, and get nominated.

Now, if the diary you are asking about is still housed in the 2010 forums, then its likely not attracting as much attention as historically, the number of people browsing the older version forums dies down, but a diary there can still be nominated, or the author of that diary could request that a mod move it to the 2013 forums.

I'm curious to know if the 2010 section will be getting nominated in their own section, not at all, or in with the 2013 noms...

As Dragonmack said, the DOTM can be for all versions of the game. My one rule about that is that it needs to be in the TEW 2013 section. If it is there, then I am not gonna look through posts to find out what game that particular writer is playing.

I want to nominate Dragonmack's <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=522554" rel="external nofollow">Trademark Pro Wrestling</a> for the awesome matches he pulls, despite being a regional promotion. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> The guy has barely enough talent to work with to carry the show, yet he manages. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Okay I'm going to have to stop nominating this diary now because this might be the third time in a row, but one last time I'd like to nominate Michgcs's RAW after Elimination Chamber for the monthly spotlight. I enjoyed the chamber but actually preferred this show after it more. Voting it in particular for the two great segments that ended it. (debut of Steen/Rollins/Ambrose and Bryan picking Regal as his Mania opponent)

I assume it's not too late, now May where I am but guessing we go by US time.

Who says you need to stop? It takes several times before anyone wins a DOTM. Just ask 3rdStringPG or Eisen-Verse.

I know you don't need it seconded... but I second this... the Daniel Bryan choosing his mentor William Regal to face him at Mania for the Title was awesome... but Big Johnny's extra stipulation? Just genius...
