Lawl.<p> </p><p> For a diary, that whole Money/Gilmore main event kinda bites cause IRL it'd be a better idea to keep them away from straight singles and build the match verbally and with ambushes and tag matches and such, but of course this is TEW so shooting part of your wad is encouraged...........Wouldn't that be a sales-making tagline for the game. Still good though.</p><p> </p><p> Also, I don't think anyone will judge you if you use the editor to buff Mr Youngman to give an accurate match rating. I mean, if your debut as an IRL wrestler consisted of giving CM Punk a Go 2 Sleep you better damn well believe you'd be trending on Twitter.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yes, but with Risque at medium (since the start of the diary) I can sign anybody. I'll probably switch Risque back to high once I've signed those TCW guys whose contracts are about to expire. I wonder, though, if that's going to make the uber-conservative types, i.e. Caulfield, unhappy over time.</p><p> </p><p> Gilmore vs Money as a main event? Yup, you have a point there. It's too good a match to give away on free television IRL. Still, I decided to stick with what I was doing, which is to build up for the PPV four-way by having Gilmore, Money, Remo and Champion have matches with each other for the main events. But that's one helluva tagline for TEW...shooting part of your wad! <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> I think I'm fine with Youngman's stats and popularity for now. Still using the same technique of not rating him in angles, but rather rating the guy he rants about or beats down on. But if it takes him too long to get to an "E" in popularity, well...</p>

Meanwhile, Michaels relentlessly bashes Alan Parent, whom he calls "boring", "crude" and "an embarrassment to the talented man who is mentoring him, John Anderson", and the fans don't seem to like Parent much either, especially after he nearly makes Masked Cougar tap out of the Parental Lock. Cougar, however, comes back strong, and unintentionally benefits from Easy Emma's "dollar signs" by landing the I Am Cougar, Hear Me Roar on the Canadian puroresu expert.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER</strong> - Cougar in 5:47</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em>ANGLE - Michaels Censors Chase (60/C-)</em></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <em>In a repeat of what happened on the last Supreme TV, Michaels hits the ring to censure...and censor Emma Chase, accusing her of not listening the first time. He tries to talk about being distracted by a pretty woman, especially one who's stripteasing, as natural, but Parent isn't too psyched up, saying "That's not how Haruki Kudo would've done it." To this, Anderson answers "Who the f--- cares about Hakuri Koda, Hakuna Matata, Hello Kitty or whatever his name is? You're in High Stakes now, and you're showing me that you're ashamed to follow your instincts. That's not the way to win High Stakes, Alan. Michaels, finally focusing on the match, considers both men "among the favorites to win" Season 2, and while Jett nearly ends the match several times, he ends up with his shoulders on the mat, thanks to a sneaky trip from Franklin Huggins and the ensuing Deep Impact from Valentine.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER</strong> - Valentine in 6:41</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em>ANGLE - Gilmore and FD3 Argue (64/C)</em></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <em>After the match, Gilmore, who is still upset over his loss the other day to Rich Money, confronts Huggins, who denies tripping Jett even if it was plain to see that he did so from outside. Strong and silent as Ekuma may be, he's also quite uncoordinated and raw despite being a long-time RIPW talent, and he repeatedly fails to land the Hawaiian Crush on Architect. A final attempt at the Crush is dodged, as Architect, who weighs almost 150 pounds less, locks Ekuma up in the Blueprint, which he easily taps out of, much to Champion's chagrin.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER</strong> - Architect in 4:48</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em>ANGLE - Ekuma Rants About Champion (55/D+)</em></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <em>Finally interviewed backstage, Rodney Ekuma goes on to rip his mentor Nicky Champion a new one, wondering how in the heck he won Best Mentor in Season 1, and criticizing him on being all talk, no substance. He tells Leigh to find the inner "patriot" in him, but Leigh respectfully, yet decisively responds by saying he doesn't want to be a hokey, easy-going flag-waving type anymore, but rather someone more realistic and closer to his intense, determined persona. Davids shrugs and says "that'll work" as Leigh eagerly heads to the ring in preparation for his match...</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em>Erick Leigh (w/Des Davids) vs Justin Sensitive (w/24/7 Partay Dudez) (28/E)</em></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <em>Erick Leigh, the former Masked Patriot, is advertised by Jerry Eisen as "a different kind of patriot", which is shut down by Peter Michaels, who calls Leigh "another faceless cocky youth who's no different from the rest of his ilk. All talk, no action." Michaels also criticizes Leigh's old-school style of wrestling - "You can't be old-style unless you lived in the era of the Streets - Rocky, Sid and Dusty. Whipper Spencer Marks. Dan Stone Senior. Crippler Ray Kingman." Shortly after Justin Sensitive sings a few bars of the chorus of NSYNC's "This I Promise You" (which Katie Cameron calls "a hundred times better than the original Partay Dudez"), Leigh jumps him from behind and sets him up for an airplane spin, and again, Michaels belittles him for trying too hard to be old-style. Sensitive, however, escapes from the airplane spin, suplexes Leigh onto the mat, and climbs the top rope for the Grace Landing, sealing the victory as Darren Smith counts to three.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER</strong> - Sensitive in 6:39</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em>ANGLE - Kirk Promo, High Stakes Rookies Argue (31/E+)</em></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <em>Nothing much here, just a quick Krustacean Kirk promo on the Supreme-Tron, wishing the Season 2 High Stakes rookies the best of luck. "Hope I don't end up like that guy," says Erick Leigh, watching from the locker room. Leigh then gets teased by Casey Valentine for his being overly old-school in his wrestling style, but Rory McCallum breaks things up before the two rookies could get into a backstage donnybrook. Meanwhile, Jerry Eisen observes, quite rightly, that "that Valentine kid's got one helluva bad attitude."</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em>Tom "Angry" Gilmore (w/Jacob Jett) vs Franklin D. Huggins has a few moments where he looks capable of pulling off an upset, including a DDT on Gilmore at around 3:00, but looks a bit "lost" without the support of his fellow Eisen Entourage members. Casey Valentine does what he could, arguing with Shane Stones after he warns Huggins following a face-stepping, but it all goes to naught, as FD3 doesn't have a prayer against the Anger Management. Despite losing to Rich Money quite controversially on Supreme TV, Gilmore's still entering Under Control quite strong as the defending Supreme Heavyweight champion.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER</strong> - Gilmore in 7:26</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em>ANGLE - Four-Way Hype Video (79/B)</em></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <em>A quick teaser video for Under Control, hyping the four-way Supreme Heavyweight match featuring Gilmore, Rich Money, Remo and Nicky Champion. <p><strong>Thirdy's Thoughts: Post-Shows OOC</strong></p><p> </p><p>

- Not a very high-scoring round, and with that in mind, it looks like <strong>Rickymex</strong>, who didn't predict, has slipped into the lead by just .001 - 83.9% as to flaviooooo's 83.8%. This has got to be the closest lead I've ever seen. As for the bonus point, kieranforthewin got it, having predicted three out of four High Stakes winners. Yup, the two marquee matches in the go-home show threw most off (two picked the wrong schmozz), but at least you still got the bonus!</p><p> </p><p>

1. Rickymex - 23.5/28, <strong><span style="color:#00FF00;">84%</span></strong></p><p>

2. flaviooooo - 28.5/34, <strong><span style="color:#00FF00;">84%</span></strong> (+4/6)</p><p>

3. MichiganHewo - 26.5/34, <strong><span style="color:#2E8B57;">78%</span></strong> (+4/6)</p><p>

4. kieranforthewin - 25.5/34, <strong><span style="color:#006400;">75%</span></strong> (+3/6, +1)</p><p>

5. Phantom Stranger - 25/34, <strong><span style="color:#006400;">74%</span></strong> (+3/6)</p><p>

6. Psycho Sam - 23/34, <strong><span style="color:#FFFF00;">68%</span></strong> (+2/6)</p><p>

7. Croquemitaine - 22.5/34, <strong><span style="color:#FFFF00;">66%</span></strong> (+2/6)</p><p>

8. Midnightnick - 21/34, <strong><span style="color:#FFA500;">62%</span></strong> (+2/6)</p><p> </p><p>

- Yup, no regrets in signing Chris Caulfield. Got him because of his high Psychology, and fortunately, he didn't show up in the Time Decline category. Haven't figured out how to write him yet, but that should be something interesting to think about over the weekend...</p><p>

- I really tried to make Alan Parent win. But even with Masked Cougar protected, kept strong and asked to dominate, he wouldn't do no jobs for Mr. Pawental Abuse. Somewhere, Kammy Ling is cursing that stoopid masked Amewican, Masked Cougaw. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p><strong>OOC</strong> - PPV turnaround times are always crapshoots. But seeing that I don't have an extraordinarily busy weekend, I could start writing the promos as early as tomorrow or on Sunday. Without further ado, Under Control and Uprising are now open for prediction, and in between those two shows, expect a couple KP backstage segments (including a "guest appearance" from his Thunderverse doppelganger) and the Emma Chase interview! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Your Mary Jane-smoking Michael Phelpses. To you people, Milton Bradley is not the maker of family-friendly board games, but baseball's modern-day antihero. SCREW THAT, SWF GALAXY! But speaking of adulthood, that's one area where critics have been harsh against Jack Bruce. Michaels and Fry talk about the "Tough Love" match between Jack Bruce and his son Bobby, and how, in Michaels' words, the 20-year-old Bobby will make up for those "unpaid child support payments" with a convincing upset over the five-time World champion. But first, we have Jason Azaria backstage interviewing Koshiro Ino as he talks about his former lackeys, and how he feels about his U.S. title challenger, Joshua Taylor.</em></p><p> </p><p> Azaria - Koshiro, tonight you're going to be making your second defense of the SWF United States title, and it shall be against a man who has proven to be a thorn in your side repeatedly, former Japanese wrestling <em>gaijin</em> Joshua Taylor. What are your thoughts about Josh going into this match?</p><p> </p><p> Ino - Joshua Taylor, former veteran of PGHW. Capable <em>gaijin</em> and technical wizard. Turned Butterfly Lock into inescapable submission. PGHW says it is home to Physically Intense Puro. PFFFFT. Taylor didn't come up through Burning Hammer, and his idea of pure wrestling is a joke to me. He will be, as you Americans say, easy pickings.</p><p> </p><p> Azaria - And I assume you have not an iota of respect for Joshua Taylor, even if he goes about his business with little fanfare, and does that quite well?</p><p> </p><p> Ino - Any so-called practitioner of puro who did not go through Burning Hammer has no respect from me. Burning Hammer? Men. Pride Glory Honor? Little boys.</p><p> </p><p> Azaria - And some would say you have lost a lot of momentum since losing a singles match to James Prudence, another one after that when you couldn't continue against Lobster Warrior...</p><p> </p><p> Ino - Momentum? Losses? What are you talking about, Azaria-San? Referee decision have nothing to do with the fact that I have yet to be pinned by any of these fake wrestlers, that I have yet to tap out to any of them. Referee disqualify me? Yes. I walk out of a match because of concussion? Yes. Lose in tag competition because of incompetent <em>gaijin</em>? Yes. But as far as I'm concerned, I am undefeated in singles in Supreme and that is how I plan to keep it tonight.</p><p> </p><p> Azaria - And do you think you will hold your own tonight against Josh despite the fact that you have relieved your proteges, Bart-San and Brett-San, not too long ago?</p><p> </p><p> Ino - As you may have noticed, Azaria-San, Bart and Brett were becoming more harm than help to the Kobra. They lose focus, they forget lessons I teach them, they become big disappointment. Bruce - No doubt about it, I see the irony about a man who professes to be straight-edge, Tom Gilmore, acting as a "Special Guest Enforcer", in a so-called father vs son Tough Love match. But that doesn't make him a good person. He's there to swing the balance in favor of Jack, all in the name of making sure nobody interferes in our match. Well, guess what, Tommy, tonight, you're gonna be practically useless out there. It won't even be a New York Minute before I take Jack out and make him pay for ignoring me and pretending that I never existed for the past twenty years. Not to mention saying all those distasteful things about my mother. They say there's no better way to make a man angrier and more focused in battle than dissin' his mother. Last Supreme TV, Jack, that's exactly what you did. I'm cleaner than you. I'm purer than you. Your blood may run through my veins, but you aren't my father and will NEVER be my father. "I've seen his training videos and that earnest young man can do things no 20-year-old can do in the ring." Way to out Bobby Bruce's real name, Pete...</em></p><p><em> - A skilled submission wrestler, Bobby uses this technical brilliance to slow Jack down, but as this is a Tough Love match, that won't really be of much help. Realizing this, Bobby sets up a table inside the ring and tries to whip Jack on it, but the older Bruce changes direction, leaps in the air, and goes for a snap mare takedown on Bobby. Having done that, Jack scampers outside and grabs the ladder. After setting it up, he climbs a few steps before getting knocked off by Bobby and knocked against the ladder.</em></p><p><em> - Meanwhile, guest enforcer Angry Gilmore remains outside, on the lookout for potential interference from The Awesomeness (or anyone else), as Ric Young does the actual officiating from inside the ring. With both men at arm's reach of the belt, Jack does the unthinkable by kicking the ladder to send Bobby crashing down (and against a table set up near the ladder), as he grabs the Showtime Belt and makes a somewhat hard landing on his feet! Gilmore, on the other hand, is dealing with The Awesomeness outside, but the tag team title hopefuls back off when they realize it's too late for them to interfere in the match. "That's the kind of wrestling Brandon James sought to escape from, and I say Emma Chase made a very bad business decision to consent to this match. I say Richard Eisen made a very BIG mistake deciding to hire Chris Caulfield!" Caulfield, in case you're wondering, made his entrance from the stands, waiting a few seconds for his ring music to play before hitting the ring.</em></p><p><em> - Excited at another chance to wrestle a hardcore match, Caulfield goes under the ring to prepare his implements of destruction - a table, a kendo stick, a baseball bat, a dented trash can, and a few chairs, including one with some barbed wire wrapped around it. "This match was NOT voted on by the fans," complains Michaels. "This is the purest form of tasteless wrestling, and a classless form too. This is what unemployed layabouts do to earn beer money and a greasy spoon breakfast to nurse their hangovers!" "Yeah? Well, this match was agreed upon before voting opened on the SWF App," counters Fry. "Besides, I'm sure a lot of old-time SWF fans are pining for some real hardcore action, stuff that hasn't been seen since the heyday of the late Bubbles the Clown!"</em></p><p><em> - Brandon James' only weapon is a 2x4, and he uses it liberally on Caulfield's back early on, getting off to a strong start as he "borrows" some of the Hardcore American's weapons, including a steel chair, and uses them against him. "Thank Gawd that's not the barbed wire chair," says Michaels.</em></p><p><em> - At 4:30 and after a few false finishes, Caulfield finally gets into the scheme of things, though at this point, </em><em><strong><span style="color:#8B0000;">he is busted wide open</span></strong></em><em>. After dodging a Big Cat Pounce, Caulfield recovers, grabs the kendo stick from outside the ring, and begins assaulting James with it! He then throws a chair into the ring, and proceeds to Danger Drop (reverse snap DDT) James on it! Jez McArthuer counts ONE...TWO...KICKOUT!</em></p><p><em> - By the seven-minute mark, both James and Caulfield are bleeding, and the effect of this match on the fans seems to be polarizing. Still, Caulfield remains in control, and with the barbed wire chair on his chest and secured by a makeshift belt, he climbs from outside the ring to the apron, and goes for the Philly Flop! James, however, rolls away from it, and picks up the barbed wire chair (after quickly removing the belt), all set to use it on Caulfield!</em></p><p><em> - And that he does, as James bashes Caulfield several times with the chair, before going for a splash and a cover. ONE...TWO...KICKOUT! "Somebody had better stop this match," says Michaels. "There's just too much blood and gore for this kind of match to be considered good wrestling."</em></p><p><em> - At a little past ten minutes, Caulfield has gotten back in control by countering a Big Money Move and piledriving James through the table! He surveys the carnage and starts teasing the Danger Drop, popping the DaVE fans out at the Edward Jones Dome, but Peter Michaels, noticing all the blood soaking Caulfield's face and his black shirt, pleads to McArthuer, asking him to stop the match on account of Caulfield being too hurt to continue. Caulfield notices what's going on and tries to convince Michaels he's still okay to continue, but </em><em><strong>a scream of "JUST DO IT!" from the sanctimonious announcer prompts a confused Jez Mac to call for the bell and award the match to Big Money!</strong></em><em> Caulfield and the crowd are livid upon hearing this, and as the Hardcore American exits the ring and stares down Michaels, what goes unnoticed (until after the fact) is how Emma Chase didn't try throwing Caulfield off with the "dollar signs"...</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER</strong> - James in 10:37 by referee stoppage</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">TO BE CONTINUED...</span></strong></p>

OOC - Oh well. I just spent three hours writing three of the most brilliant matches in my time as a TEW gamer, only to lose Valiant vs Anderson, Bruce vs Faith and the four-way match. I had also written a brilliant exchange between Peter Michaels and Duane Fry during Jack Bruce's pre-match entrance. And as you can figure whenever all that gold goes kablooey following an unexpected power outage (I had just a few lines remaining on the finale), it can be very demoralizing. That said, it may take me a while to find that "special place" I was in earlier when I wrote those three matches. Might pull an all-nighter if I have to, but considering that work is still my top priority, there is a chance it may be a couple days before Under Control is finished if I can't recapture the magic. Sorry, guys... :o
