The movie kicks off in downtown New York, from a helicopter spot, showing a classic '72 Mustang and a modern '12 Dodge Viper, driving across Times Square, with at least 2 dozen police cars on their tail, the scene switches to a shot hovering over Times Square and panning over to a front hood shot of the Mustang.

Meet Scott. The text appears on the screen, just below the face of Scott (Jai Courtney) as the scene paused momentarily, before panning over to the Viper, and again it pauses momentarily, for the text Meet Jake to introduce Jake. (Luke Pegler)

After the introductions, the camera pans up as the two men disappear off the screen, and the scene again pauses. Meet the police it says as the movie goes to an animated intro scene, showing the credits, along with stick figures being chased by the police.

Grant Pictures presents: A Louis Leterrier picture .. The Chase

Starring.. JAI COURTNEY .. LUKE PEGLER

Featuring .. Neal McDonough .. Tony Alcantar .. Christoph Sanders .. Nathan Jones .. Molly Ephraim

First post-introduction screen shows a conference room filled with FBI agents, and at the head of the table, in front of a projector screen with pictures of Scott and Jake, stands the FBI Director, Max Horton (Neal McDonough). He announces to the agents, that Scott and Jake, are brothers, and highly dangerous suspects, of several crimes, including homicide, larceny and even arson.

The scene cuts to a diner, where the two brothers are sat in a corner, suspiciously looking around them, they discuss the crimes they have supposedly committed, and although they're not entirely innocent, no way will they be held responsible for the whole list, and figuring out a way how to get cleared of these crimes, and find the man who framed them for it. Jake states he knows a man who can help them, however, he lives in New York, and all airports are clearly off-limits. Scott just smiles and looks at his brother who smiles back, as they nod and simultaneously state, ROAD TRIP!

In the next scene, a man is shown from behind, wearing a suit, and slick back hair, he claims the two boys, are getting too close to comfort, to finding out who has set them up, before getting more irate, and turning around, (revealing himself to be Tony Alcantar) and claiming,"DO THEY NOT KNOW WHO I AM? I'M CARLOS MALCADO, YOU DON'T MESS WITH CARLOS MALCADO!" The scene cuts to a sideshot, revealing two lackeys, (Nathan Jones and Christoph Sanders) nodding at everything he says, when he tells them to go take care of it, "YESTERDAY!"

The scene cuts back to the two brothers, in what is apparently LA, as the Hollywood sign is seen in the background. They're standing next to the aforementioned cars, the Mustang and the Viper, as Scott asks the best way to get to New York, while avoiding the highways, as the two brothers discuss a plan of action, which gets interrupted by gun fire, they look at the direction where the shots at coming from, and it reveals the two lackeys from Carlos Malcado, they get out a 9mm each, and start shooting back, whilst retreating to the driver's sides of their cars, getting in, and driving off, as the scene goes to the 2 lackeys, looking disappointed as they holster their weapons and get into their own car, phoning up their boss to tell them the disappointment.

Back at the FBI office, Horton gets off the phone, and informs his agents about the shooting, and a nearby CCTV camera caught the 2 suspects, driving off onto the freeway in an eastward direction, he said he exptected they will soon get to Vegas, and the team needs to get mobile and leave immediately, the jet's waiting!

Cut back to the protagonists, who are on an empty road across the desert, driving side by side, as Scott proposes they use the money they have left over from their last job, for a winner keeps all race, Jake, in the Viper, gladly agrees and speeds off, as Scott chuckles, "heh, it's a sprint, not a marathon". As the scene quickly cuts to a gas station where Scott calmly pulls up next to Jake, who's busy filling the car up with gas, not looking very amused with Scott's laughter.

Meanwhile, at Henderson Int'l, the FBI jet has just landed, and the agents are already busy getting their weapons ready as they are getting into a series of Hummer trucks, as Horton steps out of the jet, puts on a bulletproof vest that is handed to him, as he steps in the passenger seat of the Dummer in front, as they drive towards the airport exit.

Meanwhile, in a mansion that indicates serious success for a criminal kingpin, Carlos Malcado is much more frustrated than earlier on, as the camera pans out to show a broken cell phone on the floor, suggesting he smashed it after the failure of his two lackeys. "Idiots, useless, bastards!" He reaches into his pocket, before realizing he smashed his phone just seconds before, as he kicks at the heap that was once his smashed up phone, before storming out the room.

"Right, bro, the most important question of this road trip, do I get up for another portion of shrimp?" The camera cuts from a close up of the faces, to the two brothers sitting in a Vegas Casino restaurant, both with empty plates, as Scott is eyeing up the buffet. As he starts to get up from his chair, Jake grabs him by the wrist and pulls him back down. He tells him to wait, and while looking at his empty glass, he subtly points to the exit of the restaurant, as the camera pans around to show a couple of FBI agents quickly moving in to cover, Scott carefully looks around to notice, and winks at his brother, as they both pick up their empty plate, and head to the buffet table, Jake looks around, noticing they're out of sight, as they quickly jump over the buffet table, and jump through an open window, right as the FBI agents make their move, just spotting the 2 run across the lawn as a group follows them out the window, and others make their way to the normal exit, the scene cuts to the parking garage where the 2 men are running towards their cars, they drive their way towards the exit, where a group of FBI agents are pointing their weapons at the cars, but they speed past, some shots are fired at the cars from behind, but they're quickly told to hold fire due to possible civilian casualties.

Inside the back of a limo, Carlos Malcado is on a brand new cell phone, with the two lackeys sitting across from him, he nods and puts down the phone, and informs the 2 men that his FBI contact told him about what happened in Vegas, and that the 2 men he needs killed, are on their way to New York, and they are all flying on the first plane to New York.

The movie shows a few more close calls between our two protagonists and the police, as well as the lackeys, before skipping to an aeriel shot of New York City.

The scene cuts to a small park just outside of the city, where the two cars are parked, and the brothers are sitting on a bench, planning out a route to their destination, stating they need to find the road with the least amount of police, they figure it out using their phones, and take the final bite of their hamburgers, before setting off.

Scene cuts to La Guardia airport, in fast motion, showing planes landing and taking off, but focusing on 2 Learjets that land pretty much simultaneously, as the fast motion reveals one jet belonged to Carlos Malcado, and the other to the FBI, as the agents rush out to again, the Hummers awaiting them, while Malcado and his two lackeys calmly make their way to a limo waiting, Malcado grabs his phone just before he enters the limo, looks at the Caller ID, and smiles as he answers and steps into the limo.

Fast forward to the opening scene, with the two brothers being chased by police and FBI cars through Times Square, as the two brothers are chatting on the speakerphone. Scott yells at Jake that the route they took was supposed to be cop free, Jake responds that he told Scott not to speed, which he chooses to ignore as the chase goes through several busy NYC streets, before they eventually lose the tail and head into an alley, and park the cars up as they make their way further down the alley and hide in a corner.

Scott asks how far away they are, but Jake gets interrupted from answering, as his phone rings. He answers and let's out a big sigh of relief, he claims it's the happiest he's felt in days, some mumbling further he asks this person where they are, and then chirps up, says he'll be there soon, and hangs up. Scott asks who it was, but Jake just says to hurry up, it's only a couple of blocks away.

Another fast forward to an apartment building, as the brothers can be seen carefully stepping around the corner out of an alley and rushing into the building, they lean back against the wall, and both let out a sigh of relief, Jake says they'll phone his guy when they get upstairs, and it'll all be over and done with. They run upstairs, and go into an apartment, as Jake runs into the arms of a girl, and gives her a huge hug, and states how happy he is to see her, he throws his phone to Scott to phone Leo, as he disappears into the bedroom with his girlfriend, Scott makes the call, and then sits there, looking bored as Jake does his business, whatever that may be. A few minutes later, the two come back out. Jake apologizes to his brother, and introduces him to his girlfriend Jennifer, who says hi, before excusing herself, as she goes back off into the bedroom to answer a call on her phone, the brothers talk, and a few moments later the intercom buzzer goes off, as Jennifer goes to answer it, opening the door.

She goes back into the living room, and puts her arm around her boyfriend, as soon as the door is heard opening in the hall way, Jake starts walking towards the hallway, until he gets hit over the head, by his girlfriend, with a gun, Scott freaks out, starts shouting what the **** is going on! Jennifer points the gun at him, and tells him to sit down, the camera pans towards the door and Carlos Malcado walks in. He compliments Jennifer on a job well done, she asks for her money, but gets a bullet in between the eyes instead, Jake screams at him, saying that wasn't necessary, and that his guy will be there soon, to clear everything up, the FBI will clear them, and be none the wiser as to the true culprit.

Carlos laughs, and asks Jake if he meant the guy who's dead in the stairway, Scott screams out in despair, saying there was no need for any of it, they didn't need to be framed, and they sure as hell, don't have to get paid, Carlos just smiles, and walks towards Scott, who's making sure not to make a move with the 2 lackeys behind Malcado, just as Malcado gets right in Scott's face, 2 shots are heard, as the camera pans out to show Jake grabbed Jennifer's gun and shot the 2 lackeys, and now has the gun pointed at Malcado.

Malcado pleads that it's really not necessary, and it can still be fixed, he'll sort it, Jake just snorts, before putting 3 into Malcado's chest. He looks at Scott, as police sirens can be heard in the background..

"Guess we better find another way to get out of this, let's get the hell out of here!"

The two run out of the apartment as the scene fades, and the end credits start rolling.

Post-Production

Title: The Chase

Lead Actors: Jai Kourtney, Luke Pegler

Supporting Actors: Neal McDonough; Tony Alcantar; Christoph Sanders; Nathan Jones

Supporting Actress: Molly Ephraim

Director: Louis Leterrier

Genre: Action

Rating: PG-13

Location: California; Nevada; New York

Budget: 12.192.000

Talent Fee: 5.192.000

Production: 5.000.000

Marketing: 2.000.000 (Upped from the original 1.000.000)

Duration: 102 minutes

---

Additional Stuff

1. We RKO Productions are delighted to tell you that after we RKO Productions, are finished with Isiah would like to purchase the rights of one of the (if not THE most) zaniest, craziest, one of the (if not THE greatest) greatest musicals in the history of history....AVENUE Q!, That's right, the legendary puppet/real person musical with a heart as big as Sesame Street and just as foul mouthed as South Park.

RKO Productions proudly presents.

Lead Actor- Dev Patel, John Travolta

Lead Actress- Selena Gomez

Supporting Actor- Russel Crowe, Eddie Murphy (I'll admit, We at RKO Productions at Eddie Murphy marks)

Supporting Actress- Sasha Grey (The ONLY other female we have!)

Director - Tim Burton

Genre- 3D Animation

Rating- G

Plot- The year was somewhere around the Greece era and the Roman era, in other words 876 B.C at best, (Opening Song: A epic remix of Zero to Hero as we cue the title card) there is a small quaint little village called Uuu where a birth is being took place, It appears that the king and queen are celebrating the birth of their newborn child Isiah.

While all of the people of Uuu are joyful, The King's jealous brother Claw Hiller plots to overthrow the king and take the throne of Uuu.

He then turns to his assistant, who doesn't have a name.......yet, His assistant tells him that the baby has mythical ungodly powers of some sort of kind, but if he can SOMEHOW defeat him and take down the king, he will rule all of Uuu leaving the Claw Hiller in glee.........

HOWEVER, if the newborn Isiah was to fight......he'd probably still win...but there would only be a 85% chance of sucess.

"Enough with the numbers you piddlebrain!", the assistant flees for his life as he gets the trap set, meanwhile back at Uuu, the assistant manages to sucessfully kidnap the baby, but not to kill him as the baby bonks his rattle on him "Agh!"....oh yeah, and he squirts his little baby bottle on him, (Which somehow is carved in gold).

Years later, Isiah is a teenager who now lives with a kind hearted girlfriend named Samantha when he is kidnapped by the assistant again, this time sucessful, afterwards he is sent to Claw Hiller's lair where Claw tells him that his father.

The King has been kidnapped by (you guessed it) Claw Hiller...which ironiclly IS him! The King and Queen, both trapped in a cage full of ravendous lions and crocodiles tells Isiah that there is only one person who can beat the dreaded Claw Hiller.............."IF YA SAH-MELL-A!" "No not Dwayne" "What in the blue-" yes, it is revealed that Isiah he is the only one who can beat Claw Hiller with his ungodly powers, which leads to the all powerful question...."But dad, How did I get powers?", Which leads to the King to explain all to Isiah.

Isiah shocked to find out the truth (it turned out that he is half god, half human).

He tries to fight the Claw Hiller but is stopped by his girlfriend Samantha which angers the guy named Isiah, Samantha apologizes to Isiah but says that she doesn't want to love to only lover that she's ever had,

Isiah understands grudgigly, but vows to come back one day.

That day comes 4 years later when Isiah goes into training where he meets his consienus, At first Isiah is shocked to see him and maybe a little afraid, But the consience tells him not to fear him and that he is his guide that will help him out. "It's the best deal guarenteed!...For 5 greek dollars"

Isiah pays him the money and the two begin training (to the tune of Eye of the Tiger by Survivor), 6 years later, Claw Hiller by now has pretty much conquered all of Uuu, EXCEPT.........for Isiah, who by now has buffed the stuff up, Thanks to his consieus "See kid, What did I tell ya?" but before they get to killing the Claw Hiller, they test out his new training on a hooligan with a problem.....with DANCING WHILE DRINKING GREEK ABINO SAUCE!

(.........IDK how that got in, but hey, why not?), Isiah, says hello and comes to shake his hand, but unfortunatly thanks to his uber strength, throws him all the way to Timbuktu, to the dissapointment to his neighbors who loved his performance. "Uuuh, Sorry guys?"

"Uh, We apologize for the guy's idiotic response from your neighbor's........blissfully deranged preformance of the arts, we'll go call an ambulance." then, the consience and the Isiah have a bit of an arguement.

"What's the matter with you man?! You're costing me big bucks dang it!" "Well i'm sorry! It's not my fault that was popular even in the ol' days!"

"Well I don't-" *Isiah shuts up his consience*, Isiah tells him that they need to go to the lair of Claw Hiller, But his consience says that he's not ready..........YET.

"Well, I hope Tim Burton can take one more training scene then.......CAUSE I SURE CAN'T!" So after a few more weeks of work, defeating local bad guys left and right.

His consience tells him that he's finally ready to face......CLAW HILLER!!!!, But first Isiah says that he has to do something, and.....PROPOSES TO HIS GIRLFRIEND SAMANTHA TO MARRY HIM?!?!?!

".......Well, That was........unexpected........Gee is Clark Gable Sr rolling in his grave again?, Cause if he is, Then tell him his son's doing fine for himself."

But before she can answer, The Claw Hiller FINALLY kidnaps Isiah, and the battle begins,

At first the assistant seems to be all in for the master, but after hearing Claw Hiller talk about using him for his own personal use, The assistant seems to have second thoughts, when finally......just before Claw Hiller can stop Isiah once and for all.......The assistant stops him.

"Clawie, When I first met you, I thought I would have a long happy life of peace, joy and goodwill, I thought that maybe for once I could be used better than the poor saps in the WWE midcard which was not invented yet, But what happened?, You made me a stupid oaf with the IQ of -77....BUT NO! NO MORE! I've got another side of me, And this side is an I.Q of 165, A total jacked mule.......and IS DONE, WORKING, FOR, YOUR, SORRY, BUTT!" "What?!, What are you saying man?!"

"What I am saying man is that you can take your job, AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR (The Rock: G RATING JABRONI!) BECAUSE, I!!! QUIT!!!!!"

Now the Claw Hiller is ticked off, so ticked infact, he accidently let's Isiah go and as a result, is defeated for it, The King and Queen send him off to Hell, and the town embraces Isiah as a true hero, and accepts the ex-assistant as a townsmen, now going by the name of Nathan (that name sound familiar?)*the II. "What happened to Nathan the First?" "Oh yeah, He croaked." *The people stare at the King* ".....Well, It wasn't my fault! He was being a total jack!" The townspeople have a good hearty laugh about it and all is well.

The King and Queen are now retired and are working at the local Pastry shop, Samantha and Isiah are married with kids, Samantha finally gets over her fear of snakes, Nathan is now Isiah's protege and as for Claw Hiller?....Well, that's basically the 2nd half of this story.

After a few more years, Claw Hiller returns, and this time, he's DONE playing games, and kidnaps Nathan, Samantha AND Isiah, leaving the people to revolt in Uuu, trying to kill Claw Hiller, but he gets away with it by saying "Oh look! Here's Queen!" *the townspeople decide to go find the band known as Queen* he takes them all back to his lair and then, the final battle,

Isiah and Claw Hiller fight with all of their might, taking up to 7 minutes of the movie, But it isn't until Claw gets an axe and it hits Samantha by mistake, killing her in the process, Isiah, devastated and heartbroken by her demise ends up finally being defeated, leaving Claw Hiller to rule all of Uuu......

OR DOES HE? It turns out that there is still one person he's yet to beat, And that is Nathan! Nathan and Claw Hiller battle like the dickens using axes, claws and the balls of the Winchester Sprout and......and....and.......well,

it's hard to explain, but then Nathan grabs the sledgehammer of immortality and clones it, thus creating two of them and then.........he brings back Isiah AND Samantha, and in the end, they end up kicking Claw Hiller's butt and use hot spoiling molting lava, killing Claw Hiller once and for all, The town of Uuu is saved, Claw Hiller is gone and all is right with the world!

THE END......Oh yeah, and uh Russel Crowe sings a cover of If you just believe by Josh Groban with Selena Gomez in the credits..........I knew you wanted to know.

Budget: (Total of talent + production + marketing)

Talent fee- (Actors and director's fee)

Production- $1,550,000

Marketing- $200,000

Duration - 95 minutes

I predict at least 1.5-3 stars with this.

The Chase

Review by: Mr.G

The success of the latest Fast & Furious franchise seems to garner more inspiration and attempts on the whole racing genre. Some might wonder if there ever will be a good movie with strict street racing and not just criminals-with-car. Well, we have to wait in future for that as The Chase is an action film with racing element so it is definitely criminals-with-car.

Let's start with the flaws, for a movie that is named The Chase, I personally expect a lot of chasing scenes as Hollywood sure as hell know how to create insane chasing scenes...yet there's a lacking of them in this one. There's one scene in the early middle part of the movie where the protagonists, Scott(Jai Courtney) and Jake(Luke Pegler), bet their money on a race...and then it's quick cut to a gas station. Where's the actual race? A drag race in the desert does sound good, to showcase their driving skill and to provide more car action substance to the movie. I hope they actually have the scene, so they can put it into the extended cut DVD/Blu-ray.

This movie spends too much time showcasing the planning of the FBI and the kingpin, Carlos Malcado(Tony Alcantar) - they are both antagonists and they want Scott and Jake for different reasons - and so did the two brothers. They are constantly looking for ways to bypass the blockage. These many scenes turn the movie from an action film into a mind game, like chess, you go here, so I go there and this is bad for an action film. Action film should always be about the action and the planning should be there to give more actions rather than taking them away. Also, the brothers have like two complete scenes of them planning their moves, which seems kind of repeated to me. In my opinion, it's better for them to plan inside their car, maybe while getting chased by their opponents.

The many planning scenes also lead to another flaw in this film, which is the tension. The planning scenes kind of break the tension away. Planning while on the run has a lot of upside. First, if they are planning inside their cars, a good opportunity to showcase some GPS or hi-tech car equipment. Second, they are planning and running at the same time so basically the tension continues to rise as they are getting constantly pressured by the police or the kingpin(but mostly the police). Now that's much more tensions compared to eating hamburgers and mapping their route on the side of the road. It also give an illusion of the police being strong opposition as they are really messing with the protagonists and their intended routes. The two brothers have to adapt, change route on the fly and maybe have some high level stunt(have cars flying over bridges or just anywhere the production team can imagined).

The opposition isn't too strong in the movie. While the police are well-prepared, they don't seem to have any answer to Scott and Jake. There should be more barricades for the protagonists to cross, maybe have helicopters on their tail or something but it's alright, the police at least participate well in the chase. The kingpin though, is a weak villain. I would have expected much more from a successful kingpin. For one, if you are a kingpin, you really don't have to follow your lackeys, you have them drag your opposition to you, not you to them. Two, he's easily defeated at the end. Three, he probably don't have to show up until the brothers know who framed them, only by that time he should be worried. It's a fundamental flaw in my opinion. He can just chill until they dug out the information that he's the culprit and even by then, he still have a lot of manpower to block the two brothers from coming to him. A more convincing plot would be that the two brothers stole something of him or they are doing a job for him and then they betrayed him and ran away with the money.

The ending, while having a twist(which I predicted correctly), is not a good one, especially since the good guys have their win fairly easily. I would prefer if the kingpin assign his "general" to accompany the lackeys in their trip to settle the score while keeping himself safe for a possible sequel(again, drag your opposition to you, not you to them). I also don't get how a normal apartment is safe from polices(that are definitely scanning the area) for multiple minutes around that place. Some high-tech garage that can hide cars like in the earlier Fast & Furious would be more convincing to me.

What about characters? Carlos Malcado is actually a very memorable character, not really for his menace or ruthlessness but his earlier scenes are so angry that I actually relate him to The Hulk. However, his lack of criminal intelligence lower the quality of his character to me. The two brothers, could use some more detail actually, perhaps some backgrounds. Of course, it's an action film so I am not going to put a focus on the characters but nonetheless, it's always good to have solid characters.

Well, what about the goods then? For one, the entire movie has a cohesive plot, one that is complete and one that is not a mess. You see, some action blockbusters can't even get this basic thing right, the whole movie is so messy that you don't even know what in the flying world are you watching...aside from effects and actions. Not here as The Chase gives you a reasonably complete story in 102 minutes. It doesn't try hard to include every bases like the background or flashbacks but it gives enough of the present that you will be okay with the whole film as a whole and you won't need to ask too much of why and how.

The car chases only start from the middle part and while they are not many long scenes except maybe the final chase scene, they are well designed by Louis Leterrier so the quality is there. It's more of a honest presentation though, as in it do all of what you expect of a car chase scene but doesn't provide you with too much creativity. It's still good for what it is.

The film has some good details and techniques, like showing the Hollywood sign to indicate their location instead of exposition through dialogue, Carlos "Hulk" Malcado's sadistic destruction of his mobile phone, Vegas Casino scene. It's actually decent on those fronts but it somehow lacks the tension and excitement of a truly great action flick.

So, what's my rating? I would say this is 2.75 stars as it has some goods and some bads but some fundamental flaws prevent it from having a higher score.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Misc. Information

- It's actually real close to 2.5 but the production value and good directing pull it up. However, I think you could write larger chasing scenes with lots of car and stuff, you have the production for that.

- Perhaps you should consider giving more details to the action scenes and in this case, the car chase scenes. It's easier for me to rate an action film when there's more descriptions of the action scenes. Not every detail is needed but some HOLY S*** moment like car flying over a police barricade while taking gun fire on all sides is worth the description.

- Did I miss the cameo?

- As usual, your marketing team did some good job for this one albeit it doesn't seem to garner as many audience as expected.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Revenue: 19,831,900

Budget: 12,192,000

Gross Profit: 7,639,900

10% bonus: 763,990

2% Deal: 152,768

----------------------------

Net Profit: 6,723,112

Grant, Inc.' budget = $13,200,000 + $6,723,112 = $19,923,112

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Impact

- Jai Courtney and Luke Pegler gets some recognition out of this one albeit just a generic peformance, both of them takes a 0.10 SP gain.

- Tony Alcantar is the most notable supporting cast of this film and he takes a 0.10 SP gain and that puts him on 1.10 SP.

- Louis Leterrier did some good work with the film, gaining a 0.20 SP gain and his new SP is 1.90.

- BONUS: Go Further with Ford - Ford is willing to sponsor your future movie as long as you include two scenes of any of these: Ford car in action(preferably with logo shown), character's dialogue with positive comment on the Ford automobile brand, stuff happening in Ford company building or Ford car dealer. Fulfilling these requirement and Ford will sponsor 25% of the film's production.

1. The bet for the race was for who got to New York first, which they pretty much got there at the same time, which is a major balls up from myself.

2. Again, a balls up on the cameos. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

3. Just to point out I'm Grant Pictures, not Grassroots. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

4. Does the Ford move count for any movie, or does it have to be a sequel/similar car/racing type movie.

5. Feedback is spot on, and reading back over it, I agree 100% and will take note for the future.

Isiah

You are actually overbudget, you only have 4,959,000(2,500,000 from government already included) to work with and your talent alone costs you 4,312,000. You only have 647,000 for the production and marketing. I will post the review after you edit that one. OR, you can borrow some money from other players, if you want to and it's recommended to do so because you definitely need money on production.

And oh, if you don't mind, it's easier to read if you can turn your plot into multiple paragraphs. Just put some spaces to break the texts up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Dance With Laurie

I forgot the total:

Pre-release: 4,175,000

Post-release: 10%

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Heist

Malcolm D. Lee(1.05 SP)

- He's just glad to have a job, so he would go with 1,050,000 + 9%.

Christoph Sanders(0.80 SP)

- He would like 760,000.

Alphonso McAuley(0.85 SP)

- He would take 637,500.

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood(0.90 SP)

- She would like 450,000 as she is confident she can do well in the singing part.

- She can lower it to 280,000 if you can give her (at least) a second lead role in your next 6 ovies.

Katt Williams(0.75 SP)

- He would be fine with 450,000.

- He would request that his part is shot in a short period of time since he's on tour and might not be available everyday.

Chris D'Elia(0.85 SP)

- He's fine with 340,000 as he thinks he might get some idea/inspiration for himself through the film.

Dan O'Brien(0.35 SP)

- 140,000, no question asked.

Dave Franco(0.60 SP)

- He will go for 360,000.

- If you can provide him with future role(at least 1 supporting) in your next 5 films, he could go as low as 220,000.

Bob Saget(0.90 SP)

- He would take 500,000.

Thomas Lennon(1.25 SP)

- Heck yeah on this request, he would be fine with 9,000.

Mike Tyson(N/A SP)

- How about 25,000?

Randy Couture(0.60 SP)

- He's fine with 5,000.

Tito Ortiz(0.40 SP)

- Cool with 5,000 as well.

Quinton Jackson(0.90 SP)

- He wants 7,500.

Pre-release: 4,429,000

Post-release: 10%

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@EddieFnG

1. Ah I see, I actually thought it's a race at the desert and Jake wins as he is definitely ahead at the gas station.

3. My bad, always forgot to change it.(I have a copy of the review format in notepad and I just re-write them for every review)

4. Any movie and any type of situation is fine. It can be about the life of workers that work in a Ford car dealer, a family that just like Ford car and drive it, action scenes inside Ford company that happened for whatever reason and so on. The standard product placement approach is also fine(the intentionally cut that shows a Ford vehicle parking on-screen)

-------

Previous Qs:

1. Since you only pay for the franchise when you actually use it, which is actually a slight mistake but I decided to just let it run this way, so I would say no to NPCs as you didn't pay anything yet until you actually make the movie. However, I would be fine with selling to PCs.

2. Easy Money

- Donald Goddard would be fine with 20% of the film's profit. He isn't sure about the actual potential value of the book so he would just bank in for the profit share.

3. And yes on the direct pre-production, it speeds things up.

General Update

I am actually not sick but I have some personal issues to settle on the previous week. I will kick off some general update tomorrow.

The Heist

Malcolm D. Lee

- I'm willing to offer 800.000, or 400.000 + 10%

-- Otherwise, let me get in touch with Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, either separately or together.

Christoph Sanders

- Counter offer: 700.000

Alphonso McAuley

- Counter offer: 600.000

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood

- Counter offer: 280.000, plus a future supporting role, which can be upped to a lead role if she impresses (Do you intend on doing an awards show? Maybe winning/nominating an award can trigger the lead role clause)

Katt Williams

- I'm not going to schedule my movie around his schedule.

-- Re-casting: Mike Epps

Chris D'Elia

- Counter offer: 300.000

Dan O'Brian

- Counter offer: 120.000

Dave Franco

- I'll give him a future role, if he'll go down to 200.000.

-- Otherwise: Counter offer: 320.000

Bob Saget

- Oof, counter-offer, low-balling here: 300.000

Thomas Lennon

- I'd be fine with 9.000, but if he's willing to do it for free, I will cast him in a future movie.

Mike Tyson

- 25k sounds ok, but just to get a feeler out there, what about Dana White in this cameo role?

Randy Couture; Tito Ortiz; Quinton Jackson

- I'm fine with 5.000 for the first 2, and feel Quinton should accept the same, otherwise, count him out.

EDIT: Also look at Craig Robinson for a possible replacement for Katt Williams.

Isiah

Review by: Mr.G

Isiah is another attempt to captivate on the children market. A claymotion animated picture, it is like a tribute to old school animation out here this year with all sort of the more classic approaches. Well, how did Isiah fare? Let's start with an overview of Isiah. Isiah is basically the story of a demigod boy and his battle against the villain, Claw Hiller. It gets its core concept right, as it is all about how Isiah becoming a hero that ultimately saved his kingdom. You will get what you expect: growth of Isiah -> quest to gain power -> return to defeat the villain. However, it can be a mess at times and that's what I am going to break down next.

For one, Isiah can be confusing because the studio seems to put too many things into it, which is not really helpful to a children film. You see, one of the major advantage in making a G-rated movie is that you don't need to worry about subtlety - in fact, too much subtlety and the children will not get it - so you can be as straightforward and as simple as you want with the story. Isiah though, has too many things happening at once, some can be very unrelated and makes this kind of like a spoof film more than an original creation. Some obvious example includes a cameo by The Rock and wrestling promo by Isiah against the villain...what? Yes, I read it right, wrestling promo. I honestly wonder if too many kids would get that or perhaps enjoy that.

There's also a huge case of repetition in this one. The villain, Claw Hiller, only has like one plan -- kidnapping. It's his go-to move throughout the entire movie and trust me when I say that you can find more kidnapping in this film than crime films. I think there's like three to four kidnapping at the very least. Claw Hiller needs variety in his plan, no one is going to care about it if he just kidnap people again and again and again and yet failing many attempts of it.

There are also cases of questionable plot holes, which I guess is less of a problem in children movie since they won't really question too much of the details but one at laest has to get the basic stuff right. One thing that will solve the problem is to provide more conclusive explanation. When Nathan(Claw Hiller's assistant) is told to kidnap the baby Isiah, baby Isiah fought back in a comedic way...and then the scene just ended there? Why? How? Why Nathan doesn't just insist and grab Isiah away? Maybe the guards arrive and scare Nathan away? The scene needs more conclusive ending.

Another example is Isiah decided to go on a trip to improve himself and he has to say good bye to Samantha. It seems a bit forced as there's no clear reason why Samantha can't follow him. I guess the parent can always make up some reason if their children ask them but it's better if the movie just explain it on screen that perhaps Isiah doesn't want to put Samantha in danger and et cetera. I also don't get why he is living with Samantha instead of his family. They are not married either. Again, it doesn't deflect the story too much but it just baffles me on occassion. And then his conscience asked Isiah to marry Samantha before the big battle. Okay, seems plausible but...why? Why must he do that? Any specific reason? You see, the movie skips over a fair share of the explanation and it just feels like some sort of "feel in the blank" game where the audience has to explain to themselves over multiple things, which is not really a good sign of fine storytelling.

The "false" final battle(because the real one happens later) is lacking in any form of excitement. So Claw Hiller just "accidentally" let Isiah go because his assistant flipped out? How does the work? The King and Queen suddenly appears and send Claw Hiller to Hell...how? The final part of the movie is definitely the most confusing part, the earlier part are at least explainable, the finale is just a mess.

So, Claw Hiller returns for the "true" final battle and he kidnap(Yes, kidnap, again) his assistant, Isiah and Samantha and followed by a Queen reference, which I am pretty sure majority of the children won't get it. Okay, we are at the final fight. I have just one question: why is Nathan the main hero in the final fight? THIS IS SPARTA...opps, wrong one. THIS IS ISIAH, that's the name of the movie and the protagonist for the 90% of the film. Shouldn't he be the one that goes against Claw Hiller at the end? When we watch Batman, we expect him to do major things in the final fight, not his sidekick Robin.

So, overall, the film actually does okay in the earlier portion, the middle part has too many stuffs blended in and the ending portion is guilty of bad design. One way to make this better is to just keep it simple. One, it's a fantasy world, so don't put real life stuff(like The Rock) into it. Two, don't just try to throw every idea into it, filter some that are not suitable out of the fray. Three, keep the fight straightforward. The children are unlikely to expect twist or multiple side conflicts. Just give them one good guy and one bad guy and have them clash with each other.

Now, what about the production value and stuff? The animation quality is actually not too bad, it definitely isn't great looking due to the budget restraint but Tim Burton's knowledge on this subject really improves the overall quality of the animation.

The actors are fine in their role. While no one stands out in the pack, they all did a decent job in their character. Of course, Sasha Grey isn't doing as good but her character is small enough that no one will really pick up on her performance. I wouldn't blame the actors for the overall performance of this film, they did their job.

As I mentioned earlier, Isiah's core concept is actually suitable for a G-rated movie, it's just that the studio tries to do too much at once and the execution leave much to be desired.I would say this is sadly, an 1.25 star. I liked Tribal Survival more than this one and that's a 1.5 stars so I have to go lower than that.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Misc. Information

- You can just form a fantasy world without any real life fact. It's easier that way and it's error-free for sure. There are some historical inaccuracy in this one but I am not going to pick about that in the actual review. The time frame between ancient Greece and Rome is later than 876 BC and Greek's currency unit is "Drachma" instead of "Dollar". I also don't see how you pay your conscious(it's imaginery) but that's another topic.

- Actually, you are still overbudget after the help. Your movie budget when released is 6,062,000 while you only have 5,959,000. To compensate, I have reduced your budget to fit in: your adjusted production value is 1,472,750 and your new marketing value is 174,250.

- This film suffers from a rather mild marketing campaign. As the family market are covered by other earlier films, the families are not as eager to watch Isiah so the box office performance is merely average.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Revenue: 8,431,120

Budget: 5,959,000

----------------------------

Gross Profit: 2,472,120

Post-release: 6,960,000

13% Bonus: 321,376

10% Co-Studio: 247,212

----------------------------

Net Loss: 5,056,468

RKO Productions' budget = $2,459,000 - $5,056,468 = -$2,597,468

MPAA is giving you a chance to redempt yourself. They see that you are more used to larger budget so they decided to lend your $5M. You will be needed to pay back the same amount plus the $2,597,468(so a total of $7,597,468) you owed by your next 4 films.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Impact

- Dev Patel's SP isn't affected as no one expects him to be on every great film out there but his momentum takes a slight hit from this one.

- The less significant talents like Nathan Jones, Sasha Grey and Selena Gomez are spared.

- John Travolta, while did a decent job this time, takes a 0.20 SP hit for continuing his slump. Eddie Murphy and Russell Crowe takes a 0.10 SP hit because their characters are less significant.

- Tim Burton's SP takes no hit as some appreciates his overall effort in this one but he doesn't look good coming out of this one and he will definitely need a big project next. He decided that he would go cheaper if his next film is one he can do well - a film with dark theme or/and dark element.
