Wouldn't it be easier just to ask for product placement? <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> And 25% of a cinema screen, is A LOT.

it seems totally reasonable to me, especially considering movie plot will be the strong point. if you read it you would notice <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> 25% of the screen it is

Hack/Slash

I think this is probably R, but you can check IMDB or some movie-based site for example of horror in each rating for intensity comparison. And I don't really categorized this as slasher horror actually as I always thought that slasher horror is about one slash hunting a couple of (helpless) scream queens throughout the movies. From your summary I think this is more about the Hack/Slash team vs Slashers so probably just "Horror" or maybe "Horror Action".

Marcus Nispel(1.10 SP)

- Marcus Nispel is just happy to direct a non-remake film. He would want 750,000 + 15% of the film's profit. He has no problem getting all of them after the film is released if you agreed to let him do the sequel given that there is one. He holds no grudge if no sequel is made.

Cortney Palm(0.40 SP)

- With her status, Cortney Palm would pretty much any role and a lead role is always welcome. She would like 400,000 for the role.

Ron Perlman(1.90 SP)

- He thinks he is very capable in playing said role so he wants 2,000,000. He is fine taking only 900,000 upfront but you have to give him 5% of the film's profit if you agree.

Alexz Johnson(0.70 SP)

- She will take the role for 350,000.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau(1.15 SP)

- Cross-dressing is a challenge to him, he likes it but it doesn't stop him from wanting a bigger paycheck. He would like 690,000.

January Jones(1.55 SP)

- She would like 740,000.

- She doesn't really think the "if popular" deal is good for her as it plays with probability. So, she requests that she should get another role in the studio's upcoming movies. If you can give her at least 1 supporting role within your next 5 movies, she will be fine doing this for 600,000 and taking only 300,000 upfront.

Tim Seeley(N/A SP)

- Obviously, he's free per agreement.

- He has no problem with your choice of Cassie and Vlad. He actually likes Ron Perlman as Vlad very much and he finds casting a no-name as Cassie is interesting. He's a little worried about drawing power but it's still better than development hell.

Total to pay if accepting every deal of lowest cost:

Pre-release: 2,640,000

Post-release: 2,150,000 + 20% of film's profit

GM's Note: If you wonder why Marcus Nispel can get 1.10 SP since he isn't really that famous or a big gun, I give directors a higher base SP over actors.

Fauntleroy Jones: Special Bounty Hunter

Review by: Mr.G

A R-rated comedy, huh? Pretty interesting. The movie starts with some good background information before putting the audience into the world. Everything is fairly simple, as a comedy should be, and that's good. Good start at the very least. The movie doesn't really wait too long before putting some action into it as a fight between Wolfgang and Porkchop(and gang) started quite early into the movie. The action scenes are just average actually despite Kevin Smith tried his best to employ some comedy into them.

As expected, things doesn't go too well for the bounty hunter and Fauntleroy has to take on the responsibility of avenging his father and probably retain his family's name as legit bounty hunter. The problem is...Fauntleroy isn't that bright of a person, so expect tons of stupid stuff from him. His assistant though - Petunia Flower played by Aubrey Plaza - is pretty amazing. She even saved Fauntleroy's life a few times. But before I proceed, I have to mention Ben Affleck. A good cameo performance from Affleck with some memorable insults.

After quite a solid amount of comedic action, which involve Fauntleroy constantly failing and Petunia saving the day on various occassions, Fauntleroy finally caught up with Porkchop for a final showdown. Again, more comedic action(after a kissing scene) and the movie wraps up there. I actually hope there could be more story to how Fauntleroy and Petunia find out where's Porkchop's base of operation. They kind of just do a lot of action stuff and then just get there, to the final destination.

Overall, the movie is simple and it is pretty clear how things will go so not many surprises or unique moments. In such case, the performance of various talents are important to how good the film will be. Well, I have to say the performance are pretty average for most part but Petunia Flower kind stands out among them as a very likable character. Eric Stonestreet's Porkchop is also a scene-stealer on various parts of the movie.

Overall, it's a decent movie. It probably won't stuck in your memory for time to come but it's an enjoyable ride. I give this one a 3.0 stars out of 5.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Misc. Information

- The so-so production value hurts the movie but it stays at 3.0 because of other enhancement. It's almost a 2.75 stars.

- With that amount of production budget, the two OSTs(theme song and another) actually improves the movie's overall quality as both songs are far better than other amateurish soundtracks.

- 50K of marketing just isn't enough, especially when the studio should be taking advantage of the current trend. The lack of marketing affects the box office performance as the movie misses many potential customers as they have not heard of the movie at all.

- GM's Note: You actually miscalculated the budget, pre-release should be 2,650,000, and I will try to re-do the budget after renegotiation next time.

- GM's Note: Try to renegotiate and cut off the initial talent cost so you have more budget to work on production and marketing. You are the boss there, don't always take the first offer from those greedy talents.

- GM's Note: Fauntleroy should be mentally handicapped but it isn't mentioned in the script. A bit of detail about this major trait of the protagonist could help to earn some points. With the current writing, I really can't see if Fauntleroy or not, I merely remember he's handicapped because of the pre-release post.

- GM's Note: I think two scenes with Ben Affleck are more than a cameo should be. I didn't penalize you this time but do note that a cameo appearance has to be very brief. Otherwise, it's a support(minor support is still support).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Revenue: 5,500,000

Budget: 2,650,000

----------------------------

Gross Profit: 2,850,000

Post-release: 900,000

15% Bonus: 427,500

----------------------------

Net Profit: 1,522,500

Ninja Pirate Bear Studios' new capital = 3,000,000 + 1,522,500 = 4,522,500

Ultimately, your movie is overlooked in the cinema due to the lack of marketing budget. The rating isn't too bad so it could earn more. The good news is that since your movie is fairly cheap to make, you are still in the profit.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Impact

- Aubrey Plaza has gained a good amount of fanboy from her role. Aubrey Plaza's SP increased from 1.00 to 1.10.

- The usage of "porkchop" as an insult to fat people has increased due to the Eric Stonestreet's character. We are not sure if it's a good thing but it doesn't stop Eric Stonestreet's SP to from 1.20 to 1.30.

- Andy Samberg thinks he should try to be more than a comedy actor. He has decided that he would want a non-comedy for his next film. Is this a good move for him? We will see.

Can you mark your cast for The Exchange with lead, second lead, support and cameo(if available) tag? Will help me with the pricing.

@Dakydaky

You can categorized the 4 leads into main leads or second leads, unless you would like all four of them to be main leads. I am just making sure of their roles for pricing.

@Everyone

I will do the adaptation pricing and talent negotiation later. A spreadsheet featuring various informations like talents, studio info and so on is coming up. I will finish the spreadsheet by this weekend.

Mark them with main lead, second lead, support and cameo. Based on what I read, I think you should only put Zac Efron and Hilary Duff as main lead as I think they are the main couple in your movie, others should be lower in roles. This will save you some money, especially Jiim Carrey and Adam Sandler are going to cost you A TON so I don't recommend you include that two in main lead. Also, you forgot your movie title.

Back to Business

Robert DeNiro(4.60 SP)

- Robert DeNiro is happy that Al Pacino is in this movie too.

- With that said, he would like 4,140,000 for the role.

- He would also like the largest trailer space among every talent, because he's the star of the movie. This would take 50,000.

- If you agree to do serious film with him and Al Pacino as dual-lead in the future, he would lower the offer to 3,000,000 and only take 1,500,000 upfront. The movie has to be within your next 5 movies.

Al Pacino(4.40 SP)

- Al Pacino is happy to to see Robert DeNiro among the list of talents.

- With that said, he would like 3,740,000 for the role.

- If you take Robert DeNiro's offer, then he will lower his offer to 2,700,000 and take 1,350,000 upfront.

Christopher Walken(2.50 SP)

- He would like 1,600,000 for his role.

Joe Pesci(1.25 SP)

- He would like 937,000 for his role.

Benjamin Bratt(1.00 SP)

- He would take 500,000.

Coen Brothers(2.30 SP)

- The Coen Brothers feel that this could be a hit if they do well. They would like 40% of the movie's profit OR 2,070,000 + 25% of the movie's profit.

Total lowest deal possible:

Pre-release: 5,937,000

Post-release: 2,850,000 + 40% of movie's profit

GM's Note: I think it's just easier to make both Coen into one individual. Don't worry, they will only take the price of one talent.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Exchange

Alan Ritchson(0.80 SP)

- He will take the job for 800,000.

Jordan Masterson(0.60 SP)

- He will take the job for 600,000.

Lauren Lapkus(0.30 SP)

- She will take the job for 300,000. She's fine with the sex scene as it's body double.

Chris Pratt(1.15 SP)

- He will take the job for 400,000 as he like that he will be lead in a future movie. He would like to not wait too long though, so you have to put him as lead within your next 4 movies.

Robert Carlyle(1.20 SP)

- He would like 550,000.

John Oliver(0.90 SP)

- He would like 800,000 + 10% of movie's profit.

Richard Ayonde(0.65 SP)

- 650,000 is all he needs.

James Corden(0.90 SP)

- 900,000 is all he needs.

Jamie Borthwick(0.20 SP)

- 200,000 is all he needs.

Dave Franco(0.60 SP)

- He would like another supporting role (or bigger) in your next 4 movies.

- If you are fine with this request, he would take it for 250,000. He would want 420,000 if you reject the request.

Peter Stormare(0.80 SP)

- Per your request, he would take 2% of the film's profit and he would like 220,000 too. It's extra cheap because he is friendly to you.

Frank Vincent(1.00 SP)

- He would like 450,000.

Dan Harmon(1.10 SP)

Lowest deal possible:

Pre-release: 7,120,000

Post-release: 22% of movie's profit.
