<p>Game feels MASSIVE. I had to wait until yesterday afternoon for it to come in my mail but I played for a good 4-5 hours last night not including a dinner break; and I feel that I'm STILL doing a lot of training since pretty much every mission is still learning something new.</p><p> </p><p>

I like how every character starts with basic weapons which means this might be the first GTA I dont use cheats on.</p><p> </p><p>

Speaking of cheats, the cell phone cheating method has gone back to button combos. Haven't tried any yet but that must suck.</p>

<p>I've played this a bit myself. We got our copy yesterday. Unreg lobes it. Spent most of the night playing. I watched mostly because I have more fun just running people over and stealing cars instead of playing the actual missions. I like that you don't have to follow the story until you are ready. </p><p> </p><p>

we do get a blimp I'm excited to try, and as soon as we can figure it out I can log into my iPad and do some extra stuff like customize a licenses plate for the car and train the dog. I am really loving it so far. I just wish they'd have put a female in the off line play. I have heard that you can be a female in the online play that is going to be opened next month...<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Hey guys,</p><p> </p><p>

I figured there would be a post about this game so I came rushing back to see what your thoughts were so far. In past games I've felt almost obligated to do cheats, however with GTA 5 I don't feel the need for cheats. At least not right now, I might do a save file down the road and do cheats just to do a maniac playthrough, but... that's a given when I need to spice up GTA 5. </p><p> </p><p>

Right now, my net at home is down so I am unable to access all the features (BAWSAQ Market and selfies (HAH!) ). That being said, this is the game I've been waiting for. I always thought to myself that a game this immersive with different ways to play would be a game to tip the scale for me. But with the additions of golf, tennis, darts, stock markets, heists, and other multiple features, this game is it. Skyrim was the game before this that captured my imagination. For the next few weeks my Legendary run of Skyrim with a Sneak thief is postponed. Hopefully by Christmas, I might find my dagger slashing the neck of Imperials who have done me wrong (by simply existing), but it is doubtful with GTA:V on my mind, and more games coming out that are must play, Skyrim is now a classic waiting to be replayed...</p><p> </p><p>

Long Live Michael De Santa!</p>

Just based on the far more in depth things you can do around Los Santos as well as the story I have completed so far V is 1000x better than IV imo the heist alone improve the game 1000 fold allowing that in depth feel of of actually planning and performing the heists which is obviously one of the core elements If you didnt like GTA IV that fine cuz i didnt like it either outside of sandboxing online in free roam it stunk but if you like the sandbox open world style of game at all you owe to yourself to try this game at least once if you dont like it in the end after trying it you are allowed your own opinion even if it is one i do not agree with. Now ill just get off my soapbox here and go back to the fun im having in Los Santos.

I love the sandbox/open world games. I just finished Saints Row 4 and that franchise is one of my all time favorites, but then again, Saints Row has Johnny Gat, GTA doesn't :p

Then give it a shot, dude. I mean it has it's problems but the overall depth of the game and sheer amount of content stuffed into an 8GB install... it's pretty special.

The voice acting is superb also. Legitimately good, interesting, humorous dialogue.

Thanks. I hate reading reviews because well, I hate reviewers. So I came here to get real people's opinions. I'm going to have to clear out some room on my PS3 first though. I don't have anywhere near 8GB free right now.

The problem with reviews is this...If someone hates it, or loves it they are going to press their opinions into the aspects of the game. Something like this is worth trying yourself.

For me...I've neer been a GTA fan. I just like doing the stuff that doesn't pertain to the missions. So for me it's fun, but if you've liked the other GTA games....rent it from redbox or something and see if you like it. 2 bucks is a lot less likely to annoy you if you hate the game. :D

I think a lot of people disliked IV because the games's main character wa boring as sin.

GTAV to me has 3 protagonists who are just way more enjoyable. More depth, personality, everything. They engage you as opposed to Niko who was just some European guy who shoots guns and I say this as a person who actually loved GTA 4.

So far I'm loving playing as Franklin. Not only do I find his special the most useful, but he reminds me a ton of CJ from San Andreas. Their personalities are really similar so far, what with Franklins general inexperience and desire for something more than gangbanging out of life.

Speaking of San Andreas, has anyone else been down to Grove Street yet?

EDIT: That said, I'm honestly a little bit disappointed that the entire map has been opened from the beginning. Past games have allowed you to get your bearings by focusing on small neighborhoods early on, then expanding you out to the entire area, then unlocking the next. Here, I feel like I'm all over the place and, other than Trevor's small starting area, I didn't really get a feel of how to get around without using the radar. It's just a small complaint for a game that I'm in love with so far, but Rockstar's open world games are just about the only open world's that I've ever been able to learn and navigate without the radar. Saint's Row, Sleeping Dogs, other games like this...the worlds often feel like the buildings and streets are generic and I can't memorize them.

I'll learn the streets eventually, it's just going to take much longer than before :D

To Jaysin, I loved San Andreas but hated GTA IV, and then really enjoyed all the other Rockstar games this generation that I played which were Red Dead and Max Payne 3. To me, they've taken a lot of good things from those games and tweaked them into GTA V, and GTA V is great. I still haven't ever got past the first few missions in GTA IV because I always thought the controls were way too stiff in that game and the cover was near broken, but GTA V feels right and I've spent a good chunk of the past 2 days playing it. Definitely worth a pick up, even if you hated GTA IV.

And yes, Codey, I was at Grove Street. Shame is all Ballas now. That being said, make sure you check behind the house that was in the same spot where CJ's house used to be. :)
