A gds crew would be really fun. Rockstar say they expect the online to take sometime to fully sort out. Nevertheless I'm going to be on as soon as it goes live I imagine.

Live name is DriftyCarton27 if anybody wants to add, I'll definitely join that social club thing.

Not had live lately, getting it specially for this. Not many other xbox games I play lots, sometimes some fifa and battlefield.

Really glad that in my opinion it lived up to expectations, went through the storyline in about 5 days but it still feels like there is loads to do. Could never get into GTA4 which was such a shame as I'd say San Andreas is probably in my top 3 games of all time.

I agree about the helicopters, normal flight isn't as bad as people say but landing it precisely is insane, or perhaps I'm just awful at it.

cocobeans is my Live name, and I'm pretty sure that goes for the Social Club as well. Granted, it might be a while before I'm able to get up and running online. I move into my place tomorrow morning, and everyone I've spoken to has said it can take a while to get internet set up in England.

Right, I ordered GTA V for Ps3 (which has been gathering dust since Red Dead Redemption >_<) finally despite telling myself I would wait for the PC version. Well, this attitude lasted for about two weeks <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ...

At any rate, when it comes to GTA IV it's not that I disliked Niko - in actual fact, the more 'serious' note compared to San Andreas was ok in my book. But when it comes to all former GTAs I liked SA the best because it just gave you so much stuff to do. GTA IV was really kind of meh in that regard, also when it comes to character customization and stuff. That's why I lost interest eventually.

Looks like GTA V is a step in the right direction again, making it much more sandboxy than IV and adding life to the open world. Amazon says it'll arrive at my house on Wednesday - can't wait!

Sold it today as it just wasn't all that for me. I guess I was caught by the hype.

People are crapping on IV and praising V to the moon, but I honestly don't see a lot of differences between both versions on a surface level. I know I'll get a lot of heat for statements like that, but I'm honestly more satisfied playing deeper stuff like CKII. Now you can play tennis, but why do that if I have Top Spin IV? Why waste time racing if you have Forza? I like how it tries a lot of stuff, but there's just not many things to do besides driving around, making a ruckus and visiting bars and weapon stores or something. Or I might've missed a lot of content. But really: I can do all this IRL... Or not. Robbing stuff and killing people isn't for me, but still. I don't care to, or I'd be a psychopath. This game is basically good for a laugh or two when I had a strong beer. That said, it's still a great game technically. But Skyrim, for one, and all fantasy games for that matter, are much more fun as it's just a whole new way of living (probably the magic and the dragons... ya, must be that).

However, I did enjoy the storyline (Trevor mostly). It was a fun ride while it lasted (I got to around 40% I think). I can just see the rest on youtube.

Actually, after reading through the thread: what D-lirium said. Why 'waste' time on this when I can play Skyrim, especially with the Civil War Overhaul releasing tomorrow. And he just gave me the idea of spending my 40€ gained from the sale to EUIV. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I'm not saying it's a better racing game of course but as someone who doesn't really enjoy racing games I love it on GTA. Also I don't think you can call killing people on GTA psychopathic. I don't play much xbox live so I've never had a use, but with GTA starting tomorrow I'm tempted. I know most gaming headsets are only really worthwhile for FPS but how important is a mic? If you have a mic how much do you use it? If you don't have one do you feel like you're missing out?

There's several fun things to do, but it's just not fun for me to spend that much time in a car (unless it's an actual racer).

I get that racing might be more enjoyable on GTA because of the interaction with a 'living' city. But it's not that 'alive' to me. People move around and react to you stealing their sh*t, but seems to me there's just not that much options apart from driving around and visiting select locations. But then again, one can argue the same points for Skyrim, yet I enjoy that a lot.

Selling it the day before online might seem stupid, but I never play online anyway since our tv is not connectable to the internet. And I'm sure I won't miss it, though the world might suddenly be more alive. I played online in IV for a day and it was fun, but this probably won't change the experience. The fun is more into goofing around with others shooting stuff and doing crazy car chases.
