Pre-Show: Rich Swann versus A.R. Fox

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Rich Swann defeated A.R. Fox in 17:47 by pinfall with a Chicken Fried Driver. Rich Swann was really off his game tonight which led to A.R. Fox dominating the majority of this pre-show match that went the distance. Eventually, much to the delight of the WWE Universe in attendance, Rich Swann is able to fight back and hit his Chicken Fried Driver before pinning A.R. Fox to pick up the all-important victory.

The 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman welcome the live television audience to tonight’s edition of 205 Live and announce that in the main event the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville will be in non-title action against Chad Gable. Ricardo Rodriguez then makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos and jeers from the WWE Universe in attendance. Rodriguez takes a microphone from the ringside area and says that he is delighted to introduce his clients, the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville and his tag team partner, the Englishman chiseled from stone, Oliver Grey. The British Ambition pairing of Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey then join Rodriguez in the ring and Adrian Neville is handed the microphone. Neville says that this past Sunday at Summerslam he once again defeated the masked coward Rey Mysterio to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Neville says that he is also pleased to announce that the has-been that scored a fluke victory over Neville in last week’s 205 Live non-title main event, Chris Jericho, is not here tonight. Neville says that just like the WWE Universe in Puerto Rico, both Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho are peasants. The Cocky Neville says that Mysterio and Jericho were Cruiserweight Champions in a bygone era, and that the King of the Cruiserweights Neville pities them both for thinking that they could ever step up to challenge him for his throne. Neville says that tonight the 205 Live General Manager Hornswoggle has put Neville in a non-title match against Chad Gable. Neville reminds the WWE Universe how he has already beaten Chad Gable on multiple occasions, and that Neville does not care about Gable’s participation in the Olympic Games in 2012 or his training in the art of Lucha Libre in Mexico, as that is all irrelevant to Neville. The Cruiserweight Champion says that after he beats Chad Gable once again tonight, then perhaps it’s time for Hornswoggle to search some new talent from Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown, or that perhaps the RAW General Manager Brad Maddox or the SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie can suggest a challenger to step up to challenge the King of the Cruiserweights as the way Neville sees it, there is nobody on the current roster of 205 Live that is on the “Neville Level”. Neville, Oliver Grey and Ricardo Rodriguez then leave the ring together and head to the back as 205 Live cuts to its first commercial break of the evening.

Tajiri versus Buddy Murphy

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Buddy Murphy defeated Tajiri in 7:31 by pinfall. The 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and Billy Kidman note how Buddy Murphy looks like a complete Bum. The Australian Murphy is completely unshaven with long greasy hair and looks as though he hasn’t showered in about a month. Nevertheless, Buddy Murphy is still able to get the win over the former Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri here, as Tajiri’s losing streak continues.

We cut backstage to find Chad Gable looking into a camera. Chad Gable says that the WWE Universe all know his story about how he represented the USA in the Olympic Games in London in 2012 and then he went to Mexico to learn the art of Lucha Libre. Chad Gable says that he tries to use both his amateur wrestling background as well as his Lucha Libre training in his in-ring style and sees himself as a Classic Tecnico. Gable says that tonight he is going to continue on his journey by beating the Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville in tonight’s 205 Live non-title main event.

TJ Perkins versus Chavo Guerrero

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, TJ Perkins defeated Chavo Guerrero in 10:06 by submission with a Figure Four Deathlock. Scott Stanford and Billy Kidman agree on commentary that this is another big win for TJ Perkins who may have Chavo Guerrero’s number, whilst John “Bradshaw” Layfield argues that “Latino Heat” Chavo Guerrero was just unlucky today. Nevertheless, TJ Perkins is certainly a Fan Favourite on 205 Live and the WWE Universe enjoyed seeing him in action again tonight.

Ricardo Rodriguez returns to the ring as the WWE Universe once again greet him with boos. Rodriguez is about to introduce his client, the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville, for tonight’s 205 Live non-title main event when the 205 Live General Manager Hornswoggle comes to the entrance-way. Hornswoggle has a microphone in hand and announces that at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View next month Adrian Neville will once again put the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the line against Rey Mysterio.

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville versus Chad Gable

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Adrian Neville defeated Chad Gable in 10:59 by pinfall with a Shooting Star Senton. Neville’s personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodrguez remains at ringside for the duration of this match acting as cheerleader to the Cocky Cruiserweight Champion Neville. Despite a decent performance from the Classic Tecnico Chad Gable, Neville is able to get the victory in tonight’s 205 Live non-title main event after hitting a Shooting Star Senton from the top rope.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

Non-Title: WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt versus Xavier Woods

The main event of tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie and will see the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt take on Xavier Woods in non-title action. This past Sunday at Summerslam Bray Wyatt shocked the WWE Universe when he beat Damien Sandow, Jinder Mahal and the former WWE World Champion Seth Rollins in a Fatal Four-Way after pinning Mahal whilst Rollins and Sandow were brawling on the outside of the ring, with Bray Wyatt becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the process. Xavier Woods was not as successful at Summerslam as he failed to win the WWE United States Championship as Kevin Owens beat Xavier Woods, Baron Corbin and Daniel Bryan to retain the US title. Xavier Woods will be looking to pick up the all-important victory tonight which could lead to him getting a future World title opportunity.

This past Sunday at Summerslam, Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens beat Xavier Woods, Baron Corbin and Daniel Bryan in a Fatal Four-Way match, in the process making his second successful defence of the United States Championship. As the saying goes, there will be no rest for the wicked tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as Kevin Owens must put his title on the line again against Yoshi Tatsu.

Non-Title: SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E & Kofi Kingston vs. Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady

Big E Langston and Kofi Kingston became just the second ever WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions this past Sunday at Summerslam when they defeated the former Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso as well as the Rhodes Dynasty of Goldust and Stardust in a Triple Threat Tag Team Elimination match. Tonight on Friday Night SmackDown Big E will take on the team of Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady in non-title action.

John Cena versus Bo Dallas

The WWE Universe will get to see John Cena in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as Mr. “Hustle, Loyalty and Respect” will take on Bo Dallas with both Superstars looking to impress the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie.

R-Truth versus Heath Slater

R-Truth will take on Heath Slater tonight on Friday Night SmackDown with both Superstars looking to pick up the win to impress the WWE Universe as well as Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie also.

WWE Women’s Champion Naomi, Cameron & Natalya versus Carmella, Layla & Madison Eagles

Finally, a six-woman tag team match tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the WWE Women’s Champion Naomi team up with her former “Funkadaktylls” tag team partner Cameron as well as Natalya to take on the team of Carmella, Layla and Madison Eagles. This past Sunday at Summerslam the WWE Universe witnessed Naomi defeat Rain once again to make the second successful defence of the WWE Women’s Championship since winning the title back in June whilst in an upset to many; Carmella was able to get the win over a former Divas Champion in Natalya this past Sunday.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from MassMutual Center (MA), 5,917 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Mickie James versus Tamina

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Mickie James defeated Tamina in 17:49 by pinfall with a Mickie-DT. Unfortunately this match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved with the WWE Universe still not really caring about Tamina despite the daughter of Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka Tamina having competed in matches on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown over the past three or so years. Nevertheless, Mickie James picks up the all-important victory here.

Pre-Show: Big Show and Mark Henry versus The Rhodes Dynasty (Goldust and Stardust)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, World's Largest Tag Team defeated The Rhodes Dynasty in 17:36 when Big Show defeated Stardust by pinfall with a Knockout Punch. Goldust was really off his game tonight which led to the World’s Largest Team of Big Show and Mark Henry focusing their offence on Goldust for the majority of the match until Goldust was finally able to make the tag to Stardust only for Stardust to get pinned.

Pre-Show: Damien Sandow versus Drew McIntyre

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Damien Sandow defeated Drew McIntyre in 17:56 by pinfall with a Terminus. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker take up their positions at ringside prior to this match taking place.

Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt making his way to the ring. Wyatt receives a mixed reaction from the WWE Universe as he takes a microphone from the ringside area. Bray Wyatt says that during his time in NXT he warned the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena that they should all “Follow the Buzzards” and when he first arrived on Monday Night RAW he also warned that he was the “Eater of Worlds”. Bray Wyatt reminds the WWE Universe that his Wyatt Family of Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman even took out the Chief Operating Officer of the WWE, Triple H earlier this year. Bray Wyatt says that the Undertaker can make all the warnings he wants to about being the judge, jury and executioner of the WWE but tonight after winning the Fatal Four-Way match this Sunday at Summerslam Bray Wyatt stands in the ring as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Bray Wyatt says that the habitual underachievers like Damien Sandow will no longer be getting opportunity after opportunity and that he thanks the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie for putting him in tonight’s SmackDown non-title main event against a former foe from NXT, Xavier Woods. Before Wyatt can say anything else, Jinder Mahal comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own and announces that at Night of Champions next month Wyatt will put the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Xavier Woods and Jinder Mahal.

WWE Women’s Champion Naomi, Cameron & Natalya versus Carmella, Layla & Madison Eagles

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Natalya and Funkadactyls defeated Carmella, Layla and Madison Eagles in 5:45 when Naomi defeated Layla by pinfall with a Nightmare. The WWE Women’s Champion Naomi came to the ring dressed as a Native American tonight and the Friday Night SmackDown commentary team noted how Naomi was trying to pay respect to her Native American roots, with a feather in her hand. Teaming with Natalya and her Funkadactylls tag team partner Cameron, Naomi gets the win for her team here after pinning the former Divas Champion Layla.

Match Rating: D

Following the six-woman opening match the other participants head to the back whilst Naomi celebrates in front of the WWE Universe until she is once again attacked from behind by Rain, who throws the Women’s Champion Naomi out of the ring.

Non-Title: SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E & Kofi Kingston vs. Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Big E & Kofi defeated Amore & Cassady in 7:38 when Big E Langston defeated Colin Cassady by pinfall with a Big Ending. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that after losing the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships this past Sunday at Summerslam, the Uso’s proclaimed that they would win their titles back as soon as possible.

Following their victory the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions celebrate in front of the WWE Universe until Jimmy and Jey Uso come to ringside. Matt Striker asks the Uso’s why they are out here and Jimmy and Jey say that they want to have their rematch against Big E and Kofi as soon as possible.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Kevin Owens defeated Yoshi Tatsu in 8:26 by submission with a Sharpshooter. Kevin Owens makes defence number 3 of his WWE United States title. Yoshi Tatsu acted like a Watcher in this match, paying close attention to everything.

Match Rating: C-

Following his victory Kevin Owens grabs a microphone and says that with the Money in the Bank briefcase, it won’t be long until he is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Baron Corbin then comes to the ring and the pair begin to attack the fallen Yoshi Tatsu until Xavier Woods rushes to the ring to make the save.

John Cena versus Bo Dallas

In a match that had some good action and average heat, John Cena defeated Bo Dallas in 7:37 by submission with an STF. Dean Malenko accompanied his client Bo Dallas to the ring but it wasn’t enough to stop Cena getting the win here.

Following helping Yoshi Tatsu earlier tonight, we cut backstage to find Xavier Woods preparing for tonight’s main event. The lights dim and Bray Wyatt walks into the room, saying that Woods can’t save himself from what Wyatt will do to him tonight. Woods says he doesn’t fear the dark.

R-Truth versus Heath Slater

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, R-Truth defeated Heath Slater in 8:06 by pinfall with a Corkscrew Scissors Kick. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that this was a decent win for R-Truth.

Xavier Woods comes to the ring for tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown non-title main event, and he has a microphone to address the WWE Universe. Xavier Woods says that he does not fear Bray Wyatt.

Just as Xavier Woods puts the microphone down in the centre of the ring, he turns around to be dropped by an RKO from Randy Orton, who then picks up the microphone and says that he has returned to Friday Night SmackDown to serve his master Bray Wyatt.

Non-Title: WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt versus Xavier Woods

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Bray Wyatt defeated Xavier Woods in 15:59 by pinfall with a Standing Senton Splash. Bray Wyatt was visibly tiring towards the end of this match but was still able to get the win.

Post-Show: Christian versus Darren Young

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Christian defeated Darren Young in 13:21 by pinfall. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team remain at ringside to watch this one.

Champ vs. Champ: Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. UK Champion Pete Dunne

The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox and will see the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar take on the WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne in a non-title Champion versus Champion match. Following his victory over Randy Orton in the main event of Summerslam to retain the Universal Championship, Lesnar came to the ring to address the WWE Universe last week on RAW, only to be interrupted by Alberto Del Rio, who insisted that he should be named the new Number One Contender. William Regal and Roman Reigns then came to the entrance-way and Regal announced that at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View next month Lesnar will defend the title in a Triple Threat Hell in a Cell match against both Roman Reigns and William Regal. Lesnar will be looking to pick up the all-important victory over Pete Dunne tonight to build momentum as he heads towards Night of Champions.

Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions The Bar versus Danny Burch and Troy McClain

Tag team action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as the Bar, in a non-title match against the team of Danny Burch and Troy McClain. This is a rematch from last week’s RAW when Sheamus and Cesaro defeated Burch and McClain in another non-title match in what was the Bar’s first match on RAW since winning the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships at Summerslam.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz versus Rob Van Dam

The WWE Intercontinental Champion the Miz will be in non-title action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on Mr. Monday Night, Rob Van Dam. RVD will be looking to get the win here and possibly earn a future Championship opportunity.

Alberto Del Rio versus Monday Night RAW’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kane

Alberto Del Rio suggested that he be named the new Number One Contender to the WWE Universal Championship last week on Monday Night RAW but instead Kane came to the ring and hit Del Rio with the Tombstone Piledriver. Tonight Del Rio has been given a match tonight against Monday Night RAW’s Mr. Money in the Bank, the masked Kane.

Santino Marella versus Jack Swagger

Santino Marella will take on Jack Swagger tonight on Monday Night RAW with both Superstars looking to impress the WWE Universe as well as the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox.

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Sasha Banks defeated Kharma in 17:47 by pinfall with a Wheelbarrow Bulldog. Unfortunately this match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved with the heavy Kharma unable to compete in long matches due to her lack of stamina. Nevertheless, the former WWE Divas Champion Sasha Banks picked up the all-important victory here after hitting Kharma with a Wheelbarrow Bulldog. Sasha would no doubt love to get back into the title picture.

The Godfather accompanied the International Explosion pairing of Sami Zayn and Fatsuhiko Nakajima to the ring for this tag team match and offered vocal support from ringside which led to Zayn and Nakajima getting the win after Sami Zayn pinned Judas Devlin following a Red, White & Blue Thunder Bomb.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Evan Bourne defeated Tensai in 17:43 by pinfall with a Corkscrew Moonsault. Tensai was exhausted by the end of this match which led to Evan Bourne getting the win.

(Mike Rotunda thinks that Tensai needs to be booked a little smarter and that he needs shorter matches as he was totally exposed by the length of this one.)

Monday Night RAW kicks off with the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar making his way to the ring. Lesnar receives a great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance as he retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Brock says that he has once again come to the ring without his in-ring mentor Billy Gunn tonight as he wants to get some things off of his chest. Brock says that he is pleased that the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox has given him a non-title Champion versus Champion match against the WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne in tonight’s non-title main event as he has never been in the ring with Pete Dunne and Brock looks forward to taking some fresh meat to Suplex City. Brock then addresses the announcement from last week that at Night of Champions he will put his WWE Universal Championship on the line in a Triple Threat Hell in a Cell match against both Roman Reigns and William Regal. Lesnar says that he can’t wait to be locked inside of the Hell in a Cell structure with Reigns and Regal and that he knows he will overcome the two on one handicap situation to retain his title. Tyler Bate then joins Lesnar in the ring and takes a microphone of his own. Tyler Bate announces that at Night of Champions next month he will receive his rematch with Pete Dunne for the United Kingdom Championship. Roman Reigns and William Regal then come to the entrance-way, and Reigns is dressed like a Roadie with leather trousers and a leather vest on. Regal has a microphone in hand and says that at Night of Champions either Reigns or Regal will be leaving as the new WWE Universal Champion.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Alexa Bliss versus Rosa Mendes

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Alexa Bliss defeated Rosa Mendes in 6:54 by pinfall. Road Dogg once again accompanied his protégé, the WWE Divas Champion Alexa Bliss, to the ring and offered vocal support throughout the match.

As Road Dogg and Alexa Bliss celebrate in the ring they are once again interrupted by Rain and Audrey Marie. Rain and Audrey Marie enter the ring and Rain suggests that Audrey Marie deserves another title opportunity. For the second week in a row, Alexa Bliss then slaps Audrey Marie across the face before leaving the ring with Road Dogg.

Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions The Bar versus Danny Burch and Troy McClain

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, The Bar defeated Burch & McClain in 6:36 when Antonio Cesaro defeated Troy McClain by pinfall with a Brogue Kick. Robbie Brookside once again accompanied his protégés Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro to the ring and his presence may have helped Sheamus and Cesaro get the win as Sheamus hit Troy McClain with a Brogue Kick before Cesaro crawled in to get the pin.

We cut backstage to find the former WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy and Luke Gallows, Resurrection, asking the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox when they will receive their rematch with the Bar for the WWE RAW Tag Team titles. Brad Maddox says that Resurrection will get their rematch with Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro when the time is right.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz versus Rob Van Dam

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Miz defeated Rob Van Dam in 8:03 by pinfall with a Skull Crushing Finale. The Monday Night RAW commentary team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler discuss who could be next in line for a shot at the Intercontinental title.

Match Rating: C-

As the Miz celebrates his victory he is joined in the ring by Dean Ambrose who takes a microphone and once again demands another shot at the Intercontinental title. The Miz simply ignores Ambrose and heads to the back leaving Ambrose looking completely insane in the ring.

As Dean Ambrose begins to try to pull the hair out of his head the WWE Universe come to their feet as the Rock makes his way to the ring. The Rock takes a microphone and says that Ambrose needs to calm his jabroni ass down if he is ever going to get another title shot.

Alberto Del Rio versus Monday Night RAW’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kane

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Kane defeated Alberto Del Rio in 7:51 by pinfall with a Tombstone Piledriver. X-Pac accompanied his client Del Rio to the ring but it was Kane who got the victory here.

Match Rating: D+

Following his loss Alberto Del Rio as well as his manager X-Pac look disappointed until Kane picks up Del Rio and hits another Tombstone Piledriver, the third one delivered to Del Rio in two weeks. Kane then takes his Money in the Bank briefcase and heads to the back.

We cut backstage to find Tyler Bate doing some squats when he is attacked from behind by the WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne. A furious and intense looking Pete Dunne throws Tyler Bate into the wall before leaving the scene.

Santino Marella versus Jack Swagger

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Jack Swagger defeated Santino Marella in 7:38 by pinfall with a Red, White and Blue Thunder Bomb. Unfortunately Swagger and Santino just don’t click at all as opponents and it showed in their performances here.

We cut backstage to find the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar going through some final tactics with his in-ring mentor Billy Gunn before Roman Reigns approaches the pair. Brock tells Reigns to watch what Lesnar does to Pete Dunne tonight.

As Roman Reigns and the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar continue to stare one another down with Billy Gunn looking nervous at the side of Brock, William Regal enters the area and says that both he and Reigns will be watching tonight’s main event very closely.

Champ vs. Champ: Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. UK Champion Pete Dunne

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Brock Lesnar defeated Pete Dunne in 17:05 by submission with a Kimura Lock. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe not too interested in Pete Dunne yet.

Post-Show: Alex Riley versus Matt Morgan

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Matt Morgan defeated Alex Riley in 13:25 by pinfall with a Carbon Footprint. Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler remain at ringside to watch this one whilst Jim Ross heads to the back.

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Tyler Bate defeated Kalisto in 12:40 by pinfall. A pretty vocal crowd didn’t seem particularly thrilled with seeing Tyler Bate wrestle as the WWE Universe do not really care about Tyler Bate yet.

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville versus Tajiri

The main event of tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the 205 Live General Manager Hornswoggle and will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville take on Tajiri in non-title action. Last week’s edition of 205 Live began with the Cocky Cruiserweight Champion Neville coming to the ring joined by his British Ambition tag team partner Oliver Grey and his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez to address the WWE Universe. Neville bragged about beating Rey Mysterio at Summerslam to once again retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and declared that he would beat Chad Gable in the evening’s non-title main event. Later on in the evening Adrian Neville was able to defeat Chad Gable but before the main event Hornswoggle informed Neville that he will once again put the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the line against Rey Mysterio at next month’s Night of Champions Pay-Per-View. The legendary former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and Martial Artist, the “Japanese Buzzsaw” will be doing everything in his power to pick up the all-important victory tonight over Neville that could well lead to Tajiri receiving a future Cruiserweight Championship opportunity. Tajiri has lost every match he has competed in on 205 Live for the past seven weeks in a row, including losing to newcomer Buddy Murphy last week. Even including his run on Monday Night RAW earlier this year, Tajiri has failed to win a match on television this year.

Rich Swann versus Chavo Guerrero

The former five-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Latino Heat himself Chavo Guerrero will be in action tonight on 205 Live as he will take on Rich Swann in singles competition. Rich Swann has quickly become a Fan Favourite since facing Adrian Neville back in June to decide the first ever Cruiserweight Champion of the 205 Live era in what was Swann’s first ever match in the WWE. Despite failing to win the Cruiserweight Championship that night, Swann impressed the WWE Universe with his performance and is undefeated since then. Will Rich Swann be able to continue his winning streak against Chavo Guerrero?

TJ Perkins versus Tommaso Ciampa

Another Fan Favourite of the WWE Universe, TJ Perkins, will be in action tonight on 205 Live as he will take on the debuting Tommaso Ciampa. A true “Bad Ass” who has competed all over the country, Tommaso Ciampa made his NXT debut in front of the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena last month at NXT’s Road to Revolution event, defeating Adam Pearce. TJ Perkins is undefeated in singles competition on 205 Live but will certainly have a big test ahead of him tonight as both TJ Perkins and Tommaso Ciampa look to impress the 205 Live General Manager Hornswoggle.</div>

Pre-Show: Chad Gable versus Primo

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Chad Gable defeated Primo in 17:37 by submission. Chad Gable and Primo don’t seem to click as opponents and it made for a bit of an awkward bout tonight. Ultimately, it is the luchador style of Chad Gable that is successful in this match as Gable picks up the all-important victory over the former WWE Tag Team Champion Primo after forcing Primo to tap out, no doubt using the submission expertise that Gable learned competing for the USA at the Summer Olympics of 2012.

Tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live kicks off with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman welcoming the television audience to tonight’s show and announcing that in the evening’s main event the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville will be taking on Tajiri in non-title action. Ricardo Rodriguez then makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos and jeers from the WWE Universe in attendance and introduces his clients, the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville as well as his British Ambition tag team partner, Oliver Grey. The Cruiserweight Champion Neville then comes to the ring along with Oliver Grey and is handed the microphone by his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez. Neville says that whilst the King of the Cruiserweights is speaking, he demands that the peasants in attendance keep their voices down. Neville says that last week he was informed by the 205 Live General Manager Hornswoggle that at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View next month, Neville will once again have to defend his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against the masked coward Rey Mysterio. Neville continues by saying that he would have thought Rey Mysterio would have learned his lesson after the beating that Neville gave him at Summerslam when Neville beat Rey Mysterio once again to retain the Cruiserweight Championship. Neville says that Mysterio is once again conspicuous by his absence from 205 Live and Neville says that he thinks it’s a joke that Mysterio keeps being awarded title opportunities when he is too much of a coward to even make an appearance on 205 Live. Neville claims that he doesn’t care how many Cruiserweight Championships that Rey Mysterio has won in the past or how many years he has been competing on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown, and that Mysterio is a symbol of the past and that he should stay in the past and retire with whatever dignity he has left. Speaking of lack of dignity, says Neville, which brings him to his opponent in tonight’s 205 Live main event, Tajiri. Neville says that both he and his tag team partner Oliver Grey have beaten Tajiri so many times that they have lost count, and last week Tajiri lost to a scab like Buddy Murphy. Neville says that he will beat Tajiri once again tonight and then maybe Tajiri will learn to retire and stop bothering the King of the Cruiserweights. Neville, Grey and Rodriguez then leave the ring together and head to the back as 205 Live heads to its first commercial break of the evening.

TJ Perkins versus Tommaso Ciampa

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, TJ Perkins defeated Tommaso Ciampa in 7:52 by submission with a Figure Four Deathlock. The commentary team of Scott Stanford, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and Billy Kidman all agree that Tommaso Ciampa looked decent tonight in his 205 Live debut before ultimately tapping out to TJ Perkins.

We cut backstage to find Tajiri preparing for tonight’s 205 Live non-title main event against the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville by kicking a wall, practicing his Martial Arts-inspired kicks. Chad Gable then enters the room and says that teaming with Tajiri last month on 205 Live to take on the British Ambition pairing of Neville and Oliver Grey was one of the best experiences of his life, even though they didn’t get the victory. Gable wishes Tajiri luck in tonight’s main event and asks if he can have the privilege of teaming with Tajiri again next week in a rematch against British Ambition. Tajiri says that he will think about it but that for now he has to focus on tonight’s main event.

Rich Swann versus Chavo Guerrero

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Rich Swann defeated Chavo Guerrero in 7:50 by pinfall with a Tornado Spin Kick. The 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and Billy Kidman all agree that the Fan Favourite Rich Swann looked impressive again tonight as he defeated former multiple-time Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero.

We cut backstage following a commercial break to find A.R. Fox in the office of the 205 Live General Manager Hornswoggle. Fox says that he deserves more opportunities on 205 Live to impress the WWE Universe. Hornswoggle says that for now A.R. Fox has to be patient as there are a number of Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown who are looking to make their way to 205 Live in the coming weeks.

We cut backstage to find Epico trying to open a door but the former WWE Tag Team Champion can’t quite muster the strength. Tajiri walks by on the way to the ring for tonight’s main event and easily opens the door, leaving Epico looking embarrassed.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Adrian Neville defeated Tajiri in 12:47 by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press. Ricardo Rodriguez accompanied his client Adrian Neville to the ring for tonight’s main event as Neville beat Tajiri again.

The main event of tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie and will see the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt take on Richie Steamboat in non-title action. Last week on SmackDown Bray Wyatt came to the ring and greeted the WWE Universe as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion for the very first time in his career following his victory at Summerslam. Jinder Mahal would then join Wyatt in the ring and announce that at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View Wyatt will defend the title in a Triple Threat match against both Jinder Mahal and Xavier Woods. Following Wyatt’s victory over Woods last week, the tag team partner of Xavier Woods, Richie Steamboat, will be looking to pick up the all-important victory tonight against Wyatt.

Non-Title: WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E & Kofi Kingston vs. Heath Slater & Rhyno

The WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E Langston and Kofi Kingston will take on Heath Slater and Rhyno tonight on Friday Night SmackDown in a non-title match. Following their victory at Summerslam to become the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Big E and Kofi were victorious in non-title action against Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady before the former Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso came to the ringside area and said that they want their rematch soon.

Non-Title: Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. MITB & US Champion Kevin Owens versus Marcus Owens

The WWE United States Champion and Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens will be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he will take on his namesake Marcus Owens in a non-title match.

Tag team action in the women’s division tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the WWE Women’s Champion Naomi teaming up with Natalya to take on the team of Carmella and Rain. Following Naomi’s victory over Rain at Summerslam to retain the WWE Women’s Championship, Rain came to the ring and attacked Naomi last week on SmackDown as Naomi celebrated a victory in the ring along with the WWE Universe. With tensions running high between Carmella and Natalya following Carmella’s upset win at Summerslam, things may be hard to control in this tag team match.</div>

Pre-Show: Cameron versus Madison Eagles

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Madison Eagles defeated Cameron in 17:50 by pinfall with a Hell Bound. Cameron was visibly tiring towards the end of this Women’s division match that went the distance. Despite her former “Funkadaktylls” tag team partner Naomi being the current Women’s Champion, Cameron struggled to keep up with the more experienced Madison Eagles here. Ultimately, Madison Eagles ended up picking the all-important victory against an exhausted Cameron.

Pre-Show: R-Truth and Christian versus The Rhodes Dynasty

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Rhodes Dynasty defeated Truth & Christian in 17:39 when Goldust defeated R-Truth by pinfall with a Cross Rhodes. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker took up their positions at ringside prior to this tag team match getting under way and witnessed the Rhodes Dynasty pairing of brothers Goldust and Stardust get the win over Truth and Christian here after Stardust hit R-Truth with the Cross Rhodes before Goldust scrambled in to pin Truth.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Mark Henry defeated CJ Parker in 17:41 by pinfall with a World's Strongest Slam. Mark Henry was visibly tiring towards the end of this match but was still able to get the win.

Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, the “Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt making his way to the ring. Wyatt receives a chorus of boos and jeers from the WWE Universe in attendance as he slowly walks to the ring before blowing out his lantern. Wyatt takes a microphone from the ringside area and proclaims that in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown non-title main event the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie has given poor Richie Steamboat the unenviable task of taking on Bray Wyatt. The WWE Champion continues by saying that just like Xavier Woods, Steamboat’s tag team partner, Wyatt remembers Richie Steamboat from their days competing inside the NXT Arena in front of the NXT Universe. Whilst Wyatt had the entire of the NXT roster and crowd in the palm of his hands, he saw how Richie Steamboat was desperate for the admiration of those around him, and for the admiration of his Hall of Fame father, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. Wyatt says that the dreams of Richie Steamboat have slowly been diminishing as he has failed to make an impact in the WWE and tonight Wyatt will put an end to Richie Steamboat once and for all. Wyatt is then interrupted by Jinder Mahal who comes to the entrance-way with a microphone in hand. Mahal says that it doesn’t matter what Wyatt does tonight because at Night of Champions Jinder Mahal will beat both Wyatt and Xavier Woods in their Triple Threat match to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Naomi and Natalya defeated Rain and Carmella in 6:45 when Natalya defeated Carmella by submission with a Sharpshooter. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that this was some form of retaliation from Natalya as she made Carmella tap out tonight following Carmella’s upset victory over Natalya at Summerslam earlier this month.

The WWE Women’s Champion Naomi and Natalya celebrate in front of the WWE Universe before Natalya heads to the back. Carmella then gets into the ring to confront Naomi and is joined by Rain. Naomi decides to leave the ring which leaves an enraged Rain to kick Carmella in the skull.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Big E & Kofi defeated Slater & Rhyno in 10:11 when Big E Langston defeated Rhyno by pinfall with a Big Ending. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team announce that at Night of Champions next month Jimmy and Jey Uso will receive their rematch against Big E Langston and Kofi Kingston for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Xavier Woods makes his way to the ring to a decent reaction from the WWE Universe in attendance. Woods says that at Night of Champions next month he will beat both Bray Wyatt and Jinder Mahal in the Triple Threat match to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, John Cena defeated Tyler Breeze in 7:38 by submission with an STF. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that all Cena can do is keep stringing victories together and hoping to get more opportunities.

The following contests are confirmed to take place at tonight’s NXT Ain’t That A Shame:

NXT Championship: Curtis Axel © versus Drew McIntyre

The main event of tonight’s NXT Ain’t That A Shame special live event will see Curtis Axel put the NXT Championship on the line against Drew McIntyre of Ayr, Scotland. Curtis Axel has held the NXT Championship since April when he defeated the former Champion Justin Gabriel at NXT Falling Apart to become just the third NXT Champion in history following Seth Rollins and Justin Gabriel. Since then Curtis Axel has made three successful title defences including defeating the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt back at NXT Passing the Torch in June as well as two victories over the NXT Arena Champion Ezekiel Jackson, one in May at NXT Coronation of Champions and most recently at last month’s NXT Road to Revolution. This will be Drew McIntyre’s first televised match since he lost to R-Truth on Friday Night SmackDown back at the start of July and McIntyre has been very quiet recently, wearing a hooded top and acting as somewhat of a Druid. McIntyre will no doubt be ruthless in his attempts to pick up the all-important victory and leave with the NXT Championship tonight.

NXT Tag Team Championships: Charlotte and Eve Torres © versus Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox

The NXT Tag Team Championships will also be defended tonight as the team of Charlotte and Eve Torres, referred to by the NXT Universe as “Team Brilliance”, will look to defend their titles against the pairing of Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox, two former WWE Divas Champions. Charlotte and Eve Torres became the first ever NXT Tag Team Champions last year at September’s NXT Instant Classic event by defeating the team of Hailey Hatred and Christina Von Eerie and since then have gone on to make three successful title defences.

NXT Arena Championship: Ezekiel Jackson © versus Sin Cara

On a night of Championship matches, Ezekiel Jackson will put his NXT Arena Championship on the line tonight against Sin Cara. Ezekiel Jackson defeated the inaugural NXT Arena Champion Adam Pearce back in January to win the title and since then Ezekiel Jackson has already made four successful title defences.

Erick Rowan versus Sunny Dhinsa

Wyatt Family member and general Evil Doer, Erick Rowan, will be in action tonight as he will take on Sunny Dhinsa, who we saw make his debut last month at NXT Road to Revolution as he competed in a time limit draw against Sin Cara.

Sugar Dunkerton versus Steven Walters

The “Fun Babyface” Sugar Dunkerton will take on Steven Walters tonight with both competitors looking to impress the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette. Steven Walters is so far undefeated in NXT following victories over Ryan Drago and Wesley Blake.

Scott Dawson versus Axel Tischer

The German athlete Axel Tischer will make his NXT debut tonight as he will take on Scott Dawson, a hard hitting competitor who prides himself as having “No Gimmick Needed”. Scott Dawson has previously competed on Monday Night RAW and hopes to one day get back there.

Wesley Blake versus Boone Fry

Wesley Blake will take on Boone Fry tonight in what will be Boone Fry’s first ever match after graduating from the WWE Performance Center earlier this month. Wesley Blake is yet to win a match in NXT after three attempts and will be hoping to be successful over the graduate tonight.

Aksana versus Nicole Matthews

Finally, women’s division action will see the Lithuanian Aksana in action tonight as she will take on Nicole Matthews. Both of these Divas have experience competing on Friday Night SmackDown and will look to impress the NXT Arena in attendance tonight.</div>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Axel Tischer defeated Scott Dawson in 13:24 by pinfall with a Jackhammer Slam. Tonight’s NXT Ain’t That A Shame live event kicks off with the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette at ringside welcoming the live television audience to this evening’s show as NXT sole commentator. Jim Cornette notes that this evening’s main event will see Curtis Axel put the NXT Championship on the line against Drew McIntyre. The NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena are then treated to the opening match as the debuting Axel Tischer picks up the all-important victory over Scott Dawson.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Wesley Blake defeated Boone Fry in 7:50 by pinfall with a DDT. Our next contest sees a recent graduate from the WWE Performance Center, Boone Fry, having his first ever match as he takes on Wesley Blake. The NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena are fully behind Wesley Blake in this one and Wesley Blake eventually pins Boone Fry to pick up his first ever victory in NXT.

Aksana versus Nicole Matthews

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Aksana defeated Nicole Matthews in 7:41 by pinfall with a Flapjack. The NXT General Manager Jim Cornette notes on commentary that both Aksana and Nicole Matthews have experience competing in front of the WWE Universe on Friday Night SmackDown and the Lithuanian Diva Aksana seems to have the support of the NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena in this one. Nicole Matthews was letting her temper get the better of her for large portions of this match with Jim Cornette noting that Nicole Matthews is a bit of a Neurotic New Yorker who doesn’t like to hang about. Ultimately it is Aksana who gets the win here.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Sugar Dunkerton defeated Steven Walters in 13:14 by pinfall with an Elbow Drop. Our next contest sees Sugar Dunkerton in action and the NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena are fully behind the “Fun Babyface” Dunkerton as he takes on Steven Walters here. The NXT General Manager Jim Cornette notes on commentary that Steven Walters is undefeated on NXT following two victories in his debut matches after he defeated Ryan Drago back in June at NXT Passing the Torch and most recently defeated Wesley Blake at last month’s NXT Road to Revolution event. Sugar Dunkerton, on the other hand, was yet to taste victory in NXT prior to this match following two defeats against A.R. Fox and Bobby Roode. In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Ezekiel Jackson defeated Sin Cara in 13:40 by pinfall with a Standing Senton Splash. Ezekiel Jackson makes defence number five of his NXT Arena Championship. The NXT General Manager Jim Cornette does the ring introductions for our first title match of the evening as the NXT Arena Champion Ezekiel Jackson puts his title on the line against Sin Cara. A bonafide Bad Ass and former WWE Intercontinental Champion and the last ever ECW Champion, Ezekiel Jackson has enjoyed a career resurgence in NXT since winning the NXT Arena Championship from Adam Pearce in Ezekiel’s first ever NXT appearance back in January. Ezekiel continues his winning ways by beating Sin Cara to retain his title again tonight.

NXT Tag Team Championships: Charlotte and Eve Torres © versus Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Team Brilliance defeated Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox in 17:39 when Charlotte defeated Nikki Bella by pinfall with a Natural Selection. Team Brilliance make defence number four of their NXT Tag Team Championships. The NXT General Manager Jim Cornette does the ring introductions for our second title match of the evening as the NXT Tag Team Champions Charlotte and Eve Torres put their titles on the line against the team of Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox. The inaugural NXT Women’s Champion before the title was retired, Eve Torres has adopted an “Every-Man” persona in NXT and is no longer the arrogant “diva” that she once was. In perhaps their most difficult title defence to date against two former WWE Divas Champions in Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox, Eve Torres and Charlotte retain their titles here.

Sunny Dhinsa versus Erick Rowan

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Sunny Dhinsa defeated Erick Rowan in 15:37 by submission with a Bear Hug. Sunny Dhinsa scores an upset victory here against Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan after forcing Rowan to tap out to a Bear Hug.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Curtis Axel defeated Drew McIntyre in 17:33 by pinfall with a Perfect Plex. Curtis Axel makes defence number four of his NXT Championship. The NXT General Manager Jim Cornette once again makes in-ring introductions for our main event of the evening as the NXT Champion Curtis Axel defends the title against Drew McIntyre. Both of these men have held Championships on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown, with Curtis Axel being a former WWE Tag Team, Intercontinental and WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Drew McIntyre also being a former WWE Tag Team and Intercontinental Champion. In a great match, Curtis Axel eventually pins McIntyre to retain his title here.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Matt Hardy

The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox and will see the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar in action as he takes on Matt Hardy in a non-title match. In just a few weeks at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View, Lesnar will put his WWE Universal Championship on the line in a Triple Threat Hell in a Cell match against both Roman Reigns and William Regal. The WWE Universe will tonight witness Matt Hardy in singles action for the first time since he made his return to the WWE back in July, being unveiled as the Resurrection tag team partner of Luke Gallows. Since losing the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships to Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro back at Summerslam, Hardy and Gallows have been asking Brad Maddox when their title rematch will be. Matt Hardy will have to put his tag team to the back of his mind tonight and focus on Brock Lesnar if he will have any chance of picking up the all-important victory here.

Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus & Cesaro vs. Danny Burch & Troy McClain

The WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar” will be in non-title action tonight on Monday Night RAW against the team of Danny Burch and Troy McClain. Sheamus and Cesaro won the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships from the Resurrection pairing of Matt Hardy and Luke Gallows at Summerslam, but it is not yet confirmed as to when Sheamus and Cesaro will have their first title defence.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz versus Zack Ryder

The WWE Intercontinental Champion the Miz will be in non-title action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on Zack Ryder. Following his victory over Rob Van Dam last week, the Miz was interrupted by Dean Ambrose who wants another shot at the Intercontinental title.

Non-Title: WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne versus Brodus Clay

The WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne will be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on Brodus Clay in a non-title match. It was confirmed last week on RAW that Pete Dunne will put his title on the line against the former UK Champion Tyler Bate at Night of Champions.

Rob Van Dam versus Monday Night RAW’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kane

The holder of the Monday Night RAW Money in the Bank briefcase, Kane, will take on his former tag team partner Rob Van Dam tonight. Kane has been on a rampage as of late and last week hit Alberto Del Rio with two Tombstone Piledrivers.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Alexa Bliss versus Audrey Marie

Finally, the WWE Divas Champion Alexa Bliss will take on Audrey Marie tonight on Monday Night RAW in a non-title match. Audrey Marie has demanded title opportunities for the past few weeks and will have the chance to earn one tonight.

WWE Monday Night RAW (Live from Show Me Center (MO) 6,637 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Mia Yim versus Kharma

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Mia Yim defeated Kharma in 17:43 by submission with a Guillotine Choke. Unfortunately this match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved with the WWE Universe in attendance still not really caring about either of these Divas despite both Mia Yim and Kharma having competed in several matches on Monday Night RAW over the past year. Nevertheless, Mia Yim picks up the all-important victory here after forcing Kharma to tap out.

Pre-Show: Sami Zayn and Fatsuhiko Nakajima versus Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Rollins & Ambrose defeated International Explosion in 17:48 when Seth Rollins defeated Sami Zayn by pinfall with a Double Powerbomb. The Monday Night RAW commentary team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler took up their positions at the commentary table prior to this match taking place and witnessed Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose team up for the very first time to defeat the International Explosion pairing of Sami Zayn and Fatsuhiko Nakajima.

Pre-Show: Santino Marella versus Curt Hawkins

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Santino Marella defeated Curt Hawkins in 18:25 by pinfall with The Cobra. The Monday Night RAW commentary team looked on from the commentary table as Santino Marella defeated Curt Hawkins in this pre-show match.

Monday Night RAW kicks off with the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar making his way to the ring, joined tonight by his in-ring mentor Billy Gunn. Lesnar receives a great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance as he steps in the ring with Billy Gunn retrieving a microphone from the ringside area. Billy Gunn says that tonight the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox has once again given Brock Lesnar the opportunity to show his dominance as he will take on Matt Hardy in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event. Billy Gunn says that Matt Hardy was around on SmackDown with Brock Lesnar during Brock’s first stint in the WWE so should already be aware of the damage that the “Beast” can cause. Billy Gunn says that Brock Lesnar is focused, not just on tonight but also on the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View later this month when he will put the WWE Universal Championship on the line in a Triple Threat Hell in a Cell match against both William Regal and Roman Reigns. William Regal then makes his way to the entrance-way with a microphone in hand and says that his tag team partner and fellow Shield member Roman Reigns isn’t here tonight but that with the addition of Seth Rollins to the RAW roster, the Shield of Regal, Reigns and Rollins should be as dominant as ever and that either Regal or Reigns will leave Night of Champions as the new WWE Universal Champion.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Alexa Bliss versus Audrey Marie

In an absolutely wretched bout that was devoid of action or heat, Alexa Bliss defeated Audrey Marie in 7:02 by submission. The WWE Divas Champion Alexa Bliss was really off her game tonight but was still able to beat Audrey Marie here after forcing her to tap out.

Match Rating: F+

As Alexa Bliss celebrates in front of the WWE Universe she is attacked from behind by Audrey Marie who is soon joined by her best friend Rain and the pair attack Alexa Bliss with boots whilst Alexa is down until Sasha Banks rushes to the ring to make the save.

Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus & Cesaro vs. Danny Burch & Troy McClain

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, The Bar defeated Burch & McClain in 7:08 when Antonio Cesaro defeated Troy McClain by pinfall with a Brogue Kick. Robbie Brookside accompanied his clients Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, collectively known as “The Bar”, to ringside for this match and witnessed a great display from the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions with Sheamus hitting Troy McClain with a Brogue Kick before taking out Danny Burch, leaving Cesaro to pin the fallen McClain.

We cut backstage to find the Resurrection pairing of Matt Hardy and Luke Gallows in the office of the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox, who informs the pair that they will receive their rematch against Sheamus and Cesaro for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships at Night of Champions.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz versus Zack Ryder

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Miz defeated Zack Ryder in 8:27 by pinfall with a Skull Crushing Finale. The Monday Night RAW commentary team debate over who the next challenger for the Intercontinental title may be.

Match Rating: C-

Following his victory the Intercontinental Champion the Miz takes a microphone and says that he is the hardest working Superstar on the Monday Night RAW roster and is better than the likes of Dean Ambrose and Alberto Del Rio combined.

Just as the Miz is about to continue to praise himself he is interrupted by Dean Ambrose who comes to the entrance-way with a microphone in hand. Dean Ambrose says that after the comments from the Rock last week on RAW, Dean Ambrose has decided to join the Shield to get his career back on track. Ambrose says that he is coming for the Intercontinental title.

Non-Title: WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne versus Brodus Clay

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Pete Dunne defeated Brodus Clay in 6:54 by submission. Alex Riley accompanied his tag team partner Brodus Clay to ringside but it was Pete Dunne that got the win here after forcing Brodus Clay to submit.

Match Rating: E+

Following the match Alex Riley comes into the ring to check on Brodus Clay when Danny Burch, Troy McClain and Leo Kruger enter the ring. Pete Dunne, Burch, McClain and Kruger attack Brodus Clay and Alex Riley until Tyler Bate and Sami Zayn rush to the ring to make the save.

Rob Van Dam versus Monday Night RAW’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kane

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Kane defeated Rob Van Dam in 7:53 by pinfall with a Chokeslam. The Monday Night RAW commentary team discuss how dominant Kane has been as of late since winning the Money in the Bank briefcase.

We cut backstage to find Seth Rollins approached by Stephanie McMahon, who says that she is here to check on the RAW General Manager Brad Maddox. Stephanie tells Rollins that she approved his move to RAW because it’s best for business if the Shield are all on one show. Rollins tells Stephanie that the Shield will soon hold all the gold on Monday Night RAW.

We cut backstage to find the Miz about to leave the building when is approached by Alberto Del Rio and his manager X-Pac, who tells the Miz that it isn’t just Dean Ambrose who has his eyes on the Intercontinental Championship, and that Del Rio wasn’t very pleased with the comments made by the Miz earlier.

William Regal makes his way to the commentary table, joining Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler for Monday Night RAW’s non-title main event as the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will take on Matt Hardy next.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live:

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey versus Chad Gable and Tajiri

The main event of tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live was officially confirmed by a tweet sent out from the 205 Live General Manager Hornswoggle earlier today and will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville team up with his British Ambition tag team partner Oliver Grey to take on the team of Chad Gable and Tajiri. Last week’s episode of 205 Live began with Ricardo Rodriguez introducing his clients, Neville and Oliver Grey, to the WWE Universe in attendance before Neville would come to the ring and run down his opponent in last week’s non-title main event, Tajiri, as well as Neville’s challenger for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View, Rey Mysterio. Backstage last week we saw Tajiri preparing for the evening’s main event when he was approached by Chad Gable who asked Tajiri for the opportunity to team up with him again to take on the British Ambition pairing of Neville and Grey. After Adrian Neville defeated Tajiri in last week’s main event, Hornswoggle made this tag team match official earlier today. The Martial Artist and former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri previously teamed up with the former Olympian and Classic Tecnico Chad Gable back in July when the pair lost to Neville and Grey, and Tajiri and Gable will be hoping for more luck tonight as they look to pick up the all-important victory in tonight’s tag team main event.

Chris Jericho versus JTG

Last month Chris Jericho made his 205 Live debut when he defeated the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville in a non-title match in what has been Neville’s only defeat since becoming Cruiserweight Champion back in June. Since then, the “Cheeky Monkey” with a love of pranking others, Chris Jericho, has not been seen by the WWE Universe. Tonight Jericho will return to action on 205 Live as he will take on the “Gangsta” JTG, making his 205 Live debut tonight. JTG was last seen on television back in July when he defeated Aiden English at NXT’s Road to Revolution special event.

TJ Perkins versus Chavo Guerrero

Finally, the former multiple-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero will be in action tonight on 205 Live as he will take on the Fan Favourite who the WWE Universe are getting to love more and more every week, TJ Perkins. “Latino Heat” Chavo Guerrero has already lost to TJ Perkins twice on 205 Live suffering one defeat in July and another last month. Will TJ Perkins be able to score a hat-trick of victories over Chavo tonight? Another win by TJ Perkins tonight should surely gain the attentions of the 205 Live General Manager Hornswoggle.</div>

Pre-Show: Rich Swann versus A.R. Fox

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Rich Swann defeated A.R. Fox in 18:03 by pinfall with a Chicken Fried Driver. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with many members of the WWE Universe in attendance not knowing much about either Superstar despite Rich Swann slowly building momentum as a Fan Favourite over the past few months on 205 Live. Nevertheless, Rich Swann picks up the all-important victory here after hitting A.R. Fox with a Chicken Fried Driver.

This week’s edition of WWE 205 Live kicks off with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman welcoming the live television audience to this evening’s show and announcing that in the main event the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville will team up with his British Ambition tag team partner Oliver Grey to take on the team of Chad Gable and Tajiri. Ricardo Rodriguez then walks to the ring to a chorus of boos and jeers from the WWE Universe in attendance as he retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Rodriguez introduces his clients, the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville as well as Oliver Grey, collectively known as British Ambition. Neville and Grey then make their way to the ring and Rodriguez hands the microphone to the Cruiserweight Champion Neville. The self-proclaimed “King of the Cruiserweights” Neville takes the microphone and says that the 205 Live General Manager Hornswoggle must be the definition of insane by booking the same matches every week and expecting different results. Neville says that he has lost count of the amount of times that he has defeated Tajiri and Chad Gable in the last few months but tonight Neville and Oliver Grey will once again take on the team of Tajiri and Chad Gable. Neville says that he doesn’t care that Chad Gable competed for the USA in the Olympic Games in 2012 in London and then went to Mexico to learn the Lucha Libre style and become a “Classic Tecnico”. Neville says that he also doesn’t care about the Cruiserweight title reigns that Tajiri had ten years ago or his Martial Artist background. Neville says that speaking of the past; he looks forward to Night of Champions later this month when he can once again defeat the coward Rey Mysterio to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Neville says that Rey Mysterio is not only a coward for wearing a mask, but Rey is also a coward for refusing to show up on 205 Live to face the King of the Cruiserweights Neville, only showing up for a pay-day at Pay-Per-Views to lose time and time again. Neville says that he welcomes the rumoured arrivals from Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown as he is bored of beating the same old tired pretenders to his throne. Neville, Oliver Grey and Ricardo Rodriguez then leave the ring together and head to the back.

Chris Jericho versus JTG

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Chris Jericho defeated JTG in 8:27 by pinfall with a Code Breaker. The 205 Live commentary of Scott Stanford, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and Billy Kidman note that this is JTG’s first ever match on 205 Live whereas Chris Jericho is the only Superstar to have defeated Adrian Neville since his reign as Cruiserweight Champion began, albeit in a non-title match. Jericho picks up the win here as Billy Kidman notes on commentary that Neville should be worried about Jericho.

Match Rating: C

The Fan Favourite Rich Swann makes his way to the ring to a decent reaction from the WWE Universe in attendance. Rich Swann takes a microphone from the ringside area and says that he is excited about the future of 205 Live under the direction of the General Manager Hornswoggle and the influx of new talent coming in from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. Rich Swann is then interrupted by Enzo Amore, who comes to the entrance-way and says that he has been called in to make 205 Live interesting after losers like Rich Swann has made the show a bore-fest over the past few months. Rich Swann challenges Enzo Amore to a match at Night of Champions and Enzo Amore accepts.

TJ Perkins versus Chavo Guerrero

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, TJ Perkins defeated Chavo Guerrero in 7:58 by submission with a Figure Four Deathlock. Chavo Guerrero was really off his game tonight which led to TJ Perkins picking up the impressive victory here after forcing Chavo to submit.

Match Rating: D+

Following his victory TJ Perkins celebrates in front of the WWE Universe, with the Fan Favourite enjoying the support of those in attendance. Before long, however, TJ Perkins is attacked from behind by the masked Kalisto. The masked Kalisto, formerly of the Monday Night RAW roster and making his debut on 205 Live tonight, throws TJ Perkins shoulder first into the steel ring post. Kalisto then takes a microphone from the ringside area and says that people like TJ Perkins shouldn’t be in this country before leaving the ring and heading to the back.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey versus Chad Gable and Tajiri

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, British Ambition defeated Chad Gable and Tajiri in 14:02 when Adrian Neville defeated Tajiri by pinfall with a Red Arrow. The personal ring announcer of the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey accompanied his clients to the ring for tonight’s 205 Live tag team main event. Neville and Grey are able to once again defeat Gable and Tajiri after Adrian Neville hits Tajiri with the impressive Red Arrow.

Match Rating: D-

The following contests are confirmed to take place at tonight’s NXT Instant Classic II:

Sin Cara versus Bobby Roode

Tonight sees the second annual NXT Instant Classic live special event, and Instant Classic II will tonight be headlined by the “Egomaniac” Bobby Roode taking on the high-flying masked Sin Cara for the first time ever. Sin Cara sees himself as a bit of a “Gangsta” having grown up on the mean streets of Mexico and certainly won’t show any fear against Bobby Roode tonight as both men try to pick up the all-important victory. Having competed and won championships all over the world, Bobby Roode was the marquee signing of NXT General Manager Jim Cornette this summer and made his debut in front of the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena back in July when he defeated Sugar Dunkerton at NXT Road to Revolution. Despite being more experienced than Sin Cara, what Bobby Roode doesn’t have that Sin Cara does is experience competing in the big stage in front of the WWE Universe, with Sin Cara having competed for years on Friday Night SmackDown. Just last week at NXT Ain’t That A Shame, Sin Cara failed to win the NXT Arena Championship from Ezekiel Jackson and will be hoping to bounce back with a big win against Bobby Roode tonight.

Non-Title: NXT Champion Curtis Axel versus Drew McIntyre

The NXT Champion Curtis Axel will be in non-title action tonight as he will take on Drew McIntyre just days after the “Generation Next” NXT Champion defeated Drew McIntyre at NXT Ain’t That A Shame last week to retain the NXT Championship. Drew McIntyre will be hoping a non-title victory over Curtis Axel will lead to the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette giving him another title shot down the road.

Ezekiel Jackson will put his NXT Arena Championship on the line against Scott Dawson tonight. Ezekiel Jackson has been the NXT Arena Champion since winning the title from the inaugural Champion Adam Pearce back in January and has already made five successful title defences.

Andy Leavine versus Wesley Blake versus Steven Walters

Triple Threat action tonight will see Steven Walters, the former WWE Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine as well as Wesley Blake compete for the opportunity to impress the NXT Universe in attendance as well as the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette.

Johnny Gargano versus Dustin Rayz

Johnny Gargano is Cocky but can back it up in the ring, and “Mr. Wrestling” Johnny Gargano will make his debut in front of the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena when he takes on Dustin Rayz. Johnny Gargano competed in a tag team match earlier this year on Monday Night RAW as he teamed with Tajiri in a losing effort to Roman Reigns and William Regal.

Sugar Dunkerton versus Boone Fry

A recent graduate from the WWE Performance Centre, Boone Fry made his NXT debut just last week at NXT Ain’t That A Shame when he was defeated by Wesley Blake. Tonight Boone Fry gets another opportunity as he will take on Sugar Dunkerton.

Aiden English versus Alexander Rusev

The “Bulgarian Brute” Alexander Rusev will be in action tonight as he will take on Aiden English. Rusev has been described as a “Warrior” in the past by his manager on Monday Night RAW Michael Hayes, and tonight competes inside the NXT Arena after spending over a year competing on Monday Night RAW.

NXT Tag Team Champion Charlotte versus Aksana

Finally, one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions along with Eve Torres, Charlotte, will be in singles action tonight as she will take on the Lithuanian Diva, Aksana. Known to the NXT Universe as “Team Brilliance”, Charlotte and Eve defeated Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox just last week at NXT Ain’t That A Shame to retain the NXT Tag Team Championships.</div>
